Abstract:
Patients with obesity often fail to control their body weight through diet and physical activity, while the existing anti-obesity drugs have some side effects for long-term use. Banana is Indonesia's tropical fruits with the highest production, and the banana peel has become soil waste. This study aimed to analyze nutrients and active compounds of methanol extracts of raja and kepok banana peels (ERP and EKP respectively). Macro and micro-nutrient compositions of the ERP and EKP were determined using the proximate analysis, while Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) was used to detect the ERP and EKP active compounds. The ERP contained 0.11% crude fibers, 4.44% fat, and 58.08% carbohydrates, different from the EKP (4.25% protein, 20.95% water, and 14.45% minerals). By contrast, both the ERP and EKP contained flavonoids, phenols, tannins, alkaloids, and saponins. In conclusion, ERP is potentially developed as a nutraceutical for obesity treatment in the future. Further study is needed to measure specific fat levels and to analyze specific active compounds in the ERP which can modulate gene expression and interact with protein targets in lipid metabolism.

Abstract:
EERP is a software package which already changed the way data is collected, disseminated, and used. ERP systems also have built-in control which in every transaction is supervised carefully. However, only a few findings in accounting empirical research reveal how the ERP systems support internal control effectiveness. In this paper, we investigate the effect of ERP systems on internal control effectiveness over financial statements. Using annual reports of listed firms in the Indonesia Stock Exchange and logistic regression technique, we find that firms with ERP reported fewer general internal control weaknesses than firms without ERP. Hence, ERP adoption and implementation in Indonesia’s firms cannot reduce internal control weaknesses, especially in a specific levels of financial statements because they have not fully utilized the ERP control features.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE. The article analyzed the experience of treatment of endometriosis-related pneumothorax (ERP). MATERIAL AND METHODS. The diagnosis of ERP was detected in 30 women at the period from 2004 to 2015. A control group consisted of 149 women. RESULTS. Statistically significant differences associated with presence of ERP were the elder age, right-side localization and recurrence course of disease. Diaphragmatic fenestrations and endometriotic ectopy and their combinations were specific findings in ERP-group. This group of patients characterized by frequent recurrences and higher rate of complications. The most effective method of treatment of ERP was diaphragm resection with pleurectomy and hormone therapy from 3 to 6 months after surgery. CONCLUSIONS. Endometriosis-related pneumothorax could cause up to 34 % cases of spontaneous pneumothorax in women of reproductive age. Diaphragmatic fenestrations and endometriotic lesions were specific signs of EAP. Direct visual examination of the pleural cavity was inevitable for reliable diagnostics of the disease. Surgical treatment of ERP was determined by higher rates of complication and recurrence. Postoperative hormone therapy could significantly improve the results of surgical treatment of ERP.

Material Requirements Planning, MRP I), Manufacturing Resources Planning, MRP II).

In the EPR environment, the financial management system has the characteristics of integrity, scientific decision-making, timeliness of information acquisition and comprehensive information service. However, in the actual financial management process, due to the neglect of practical research, the upgrade and promotion of ERP software are hindered. On the whole, the ERP system is single and the rights and responsibilities are not clear. In order to improve the ERP financial management system, in the process of system design, it is necessary to clarify the system design requirements, clarify the system architecture and clarify the system functions. The realization of the whole ERP financial management system, based on the system development environment and database design, must establish the management model according to the enterprise management practice, strengthen the enterprise training, ensure the safety of information management, clarify the responsibilities of various departments and ensure the normal operation of ERP financial management system.

Abstract:
Abstract Nowadays, more and more enterprises are using Enterprise Resource Planning (EPR) systems that can also be used to plan and control the development of new products. In order to obtain a project schedule, certain parameters (e.g. duration) have to be specified in an ERP system. These parameters can be defined by the employees according to their knowledge, or can be estimated on the basis of data from previously completed projects. This paper investigates using an ERP database to identify those variables that have a significant influence on the duration of a project phase. In the paper, a model of knowledge discovery from an ERP database is proposed. The presented method contains four stages of the knowledge discovery process such as data selection, data transformation, data mining and interpretation of patterns in the context of new product development. Among data mining techniques, a fuzzy neural system is chosen to seek relationships on the basis of data from completed projects stored in an ERP system.

Abstract:
ERP systems have been identified as platform technologies that permit the adoption of subsequent technologies that leverage the information integration created by an ERP system. Although significant research attention has been directed at ERP system adoption, very little attention has been paid to understanding ERP-enabled adoption, that is, adoptions that occur and are facilitated after the initial ERP system. This paper seeks to fill this void. Synthesizing existing works, the authors construct a model that examines the link between initial ERP system and ERP-enabled adoption. The results indicate that initial ERP system factors (Extent of ERP Implementation and Current System Performance) act as antecedences to organizational ease of use and relative advantage of subsequent technologies. Moreover, the authors’ findings implicate that organizational ease of use and relative advantage of subsequent technologies have a positive impact on ERP-enabled adoption. These results have important implications for ERP system evaluation and justification. First, the findings highlight the importance of recognizing the potential additions and inherent benefits created by an initial ERP system. Second, the findings also underscore the importance of considering ERP-enabled adoption of subsequent technologies.

Abstract:
Abstract Real-time prediction of Earth Orientation Parameters is necessary for many advanced geodetic and astronomical tasks including positioning and navigation on Earth and in space. Earth Rotation Parameters (ERP) are a subset of EOP, consisting of coordinates of the Earth’s pole (PMx, PMy) and UT1-UTC (or Length of Day – LOD). This paper presents the ultra-short-term (up to 15 days into the future) and short-term (up to 30 days into the future) ERP prediction using geostatistical method of ordinary kriging and autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model. This contribution uses rapid GNSS products EOP 14 12h from IGS, CODE and GFZ and also IERS final products – IERS EOP 14 C04 12h (IAU2000A). The results indicate that the accuracy of ARIMA prediction for each ERP is better for ultra-short prediction. The maximum differences between methods for first few days of 15-day predictions are around 0.32 mas (PMx), 0.23 mas (PMy) and 0.004 ms (LOD) in favour of ARIMA model. The maximum differences of Mean Absolute Prediction Errors (MAPEs) on the last few days of 30-day predictions are 1.91 mas (PMx), 0.30 mas (PMy) and 0.026 ms (LOD) with advantage to kriging method. For all ERPs the differences of MAPEs for time series from various analysis centres are not significant and vary up to maximum value of around 0.05 mas (PMx), 0.04 mas (PMy) and 0.005 ms (LOD).

Abstract:
Enhanced recovery protocols (ERPs) have shown to improve outcomes in multiple specialties and were recently applied to hepatic resections. The objective of this study was to determine the safety and efficacy of ERP in hepatic resection. Between 2013-2017, 208 patients underwent hepatectomy. The ERP included early ambulation, early oral intake, and multimodal analgesia. Primary study end points were hospital length of stay (LOS) and overall morbidity; secondary end points were return of bowel function (ROBF), 30-day readmission, and 90-day mortality. Major hepatectomies were selected for separate analysis. Overall, pre-ERP (N = 99) and ERP (N = 109) were similar in demographics. ERP patients had earlier oral intake and ROBF with similar overall morbidity. Although median LOS was 5 days, 43% of ERP patients had LOS ≤4 days vs. 27% in the pre-ERP cohort ( P = .02). 30-day readmission was similar (12%), and 90-day mortality was 2.8% vs. 3.0% (pre-ERP vs. ERP, P = .90). In major hepatectomies, pre-ERP (N = 41) and ERP (N = 33) demographics and operative characteristics were similar. ERP patients had earlier oral intake and ROBF with similar morbidity and mortality. There was no significant difference in median LOS; however, 36% of the major hepatectomy ERP patients had LOS ≤4 days vs. 17% of pre-ERP patients, P = .06. In conclusion, ERP can be safely implemented in hepatectomy, with earlier oral intake and ROBF, shorter LOS in some patients, and no increase in morbidity or mortality.

Despite recent growing research interest on ERP research, the understanding on ERP induced exhaustion is still limited. This study examines how the pace of change of ERP functionalities and interface causes exhaustion in workplace. For this purpose, we conducted an investigation on 128 ERP users from two different organizations in Bangladesh. We extended theory of technostress by integrating pace of change of ERP system. Result suggests that pace of change on ERP system significantly affect work-overload, work-life conflict and role ambiguity on ERP users. Result also shows that work-overload and role ambiguity are strong predictors for ERP induced exhaustion.

Critical to successful implementation and maximizing the potential benefits of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are knowledgeable and skilled users. Effective training for the required knowledge and skills is both difficult and challenging. Focusing on the assessment of ERP learning, this research develops learning constructs based on Kang and Santhanam’s (2003-4) collaborative application learning model. A valid and reliable ERP learning instrument that can be used to measure ERP learning and attitudes toward ERP is presented. The ERP learning instrument consists of three constructs (16 items) to measure ERP learning (business process knowledge, enterprise systems management knowledge, and transaction skills) as well as measures of attitudes toward ERP (instrument available from the authors at no cost) . The results of the study indicate that an ERP simulation game enhanced student learning and influenced student attitudes toward an ERP system.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of espoused national cultural values of individuals on user acceptance of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Such an influence is mediated by perceived user resistance, involvement and satisfaction with ERP. Education level, organisational size and ERP user level, on the other hand, are considered as moderating factors. Design/methodology/approach – Survey instruments were constructed for relevant variables with items mostly sourced from the literature. In total, 230 ERP users from various organisations in Saudi Arabia participated in the survey. The data were analysed using SPSS and AMOS statistical packages to test the hypotheses. Findings – The structural equation model did not show evidence for power distance and individualism influencing perceived user resistance and involvement with ERP, whereas uncertainty avoidance has a significant influence over perceived user involvement and user resistance with ERP. Perceived user involvement positively influences perceived user satisfaction with ERP, and education level moderates the influence. Perceived user satisfaction with ERP positively impacts on user acceptance of ERP; however, moderator variables did not show significant influence on this relationship. Finally, perceived user resistance negatively influences user acceptance of ERP, and the influence varies across education level of the ERP users. Research limitations/implications – The results may only generalise to Saudi Arabia and other countries with a similar culture. The sample was identified as users of ERP without taking into account users of individual modules of ERP software. Practical implications – Findings of this paper contribute to the existing knowledge of ERP studies from cultural and social perspectives; such a contribution is to broaden the scope of IS research about the implementation and behavioural adoption and acceptance of ERP in middle eastern countries. It will also assist ERP implementers in deciding what cultural factors to consider in preparing an ERP implementation strategy in such countries. Originality/value – Prior studies that analysed individual variations in the national cultural values were conducted in the context of general IT acceptance. The authors, instead, study them in an ERP implementation context; this is important because, unlike general IT acceptance, ERP implementations have an all-encompassing mandatory nature and has the potential to change organisational culture. Furthermore, prior studies on ERP usage in Saudi Arabia are mostly qualitative case studies with associated limitations on generalisability. This quantitative study, on the contrary, addresses the influence of individual’s espoused national cultural values on ERP acceptance.

A lot of research has been undertaken focusing on ERP systems lifecycles, but very little paid attention to retirement. ERP retirement means the replacement of an ERP with another. The aim of this research paper is to investigate why and when should organizations retire their ERP systems. A convenience case study of a SME has been selected from Egypt. The case study under investigation has retired their local ERP system and replaced it with SAP ERP. Results of the analysis indicate that reasons of retirement were: wrong selection, users were not involved in the selection process, and lack of an official implementation methodology. This is considered a new finding since main stream literature was mainly focused on retirement after maturity.

This article deals with the problems of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system selection as the initial and vital phase of ERP system implementation.Firstly, the paper presents an analysis of different classifications of the fundamental criteria for the ERP system selection process, published in scholar sources, and defines two main groups – software-related, and implementation-related ERP selection criteria. Secondly, combining theoretical and practical approaches, the most significant ERP system selection criteria of both groups are identified and reviewed by analyzing and interpreting their definitions and differences. The study is complemented by adding practical/statistical findings produced by different consultancies. The paper concludes that there is no standard classification of ERP selection criteria. They are classified mostly on the basis of scientists’ research interests. The significance of ERP system functionality as the principal software-related ERP selection criterion is emphasized. Eleven other criteria were defined as important to consider, such as the total costs of the ERP implementation project, vendor reputation, ERP reliability, ease of integration with other systems, technology advance, scalability, upgrading ability, customization / parameterization possibilities; ease of use; flexibility and modularity. The importance of all-round knowledge for a successful ERP implementation is emphasized, including ERP software functionality, project and change management, business processes, organization of training etc. All these areas are closely connected with implementation-related ERP selection factors: organisational fit, end-user readiness, training, system support quality, and the overall ERP implementation success which is predefined by the complexity of business environment as well as the level of business transformation, defined by technological changes. Finally, it is stated that for creating a decision support system which would automate the ERP selection process, the quantitative analysis of ERP selection criteria would be required.

Abstract:
The first objective of the current study is to examine the extent to which financial auditors recognize heightened risks associated with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, as compared to a non-ERP (legacy) system, in the presence of a control weakness over access privileges. The second objective is to assess the propensity of financial auditors to consult with information technology (IT) audit specialists within their firm when assessing ERP and non-ERP system risks during the planning stage of an audit. One hundred sixty-five auditors participated in an experiment in which we manipulated system type (ERP versus non-ERP) and measured auditor type (IT audit specialists versus financial auditors). Both auditor types indicate significantly higher business interruption, process interdependency, and overall control risks with the ERP, as compared to the non-ERP, system. Additionally, while IT audit specialists assess significantly higher network, database, and application security risks with the ERP system, financial audits do not recognize higher security risks in these areas. Perceived risk differentials from the non-ERP to the ERP system across all risk categories are significantly greater for IT audit specialists than financial auditors. Finally, financial auditors do not indicate a greater need to consult with IT audit specialists when auditing an ERP versus a non-ERP system and they are equally highly confident in the ability of financial audit teams to assess risks in both computing environments. Overall, evidence from this study suggests that financial auditors may be overconfident in their ability to assess ERP system risks.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Previous immunological studies indicated that the Lyme disease spirochete, Borrelia burgdorferi, expresses Erp outer surface proteins during mammalian infection. We conducted analyses of Erp expression throughout the entire tick-mammal infectious cycle, which revealed that the bacteria regulate Erp production in vivo. Bacteria within unfed nymphal ticks expressed little to no Erp proteins. However, as infected ticks fed on mice, B. burgdorferi increased production of Erp proteins, with essentially all transmitted bacteria expressing these proteins. Mice infected with B. burgdorferi mounted rapid IgM responses to all tested Erp proteins, followed by strong immunoglobulin G responses that generally increased in intensity throughout 11 months of infection, suggesting continued exposure of Erp proteins to the host immune system throughout chronic infection. As naive tick larvae acquired B. burgdorferi by feeding on infected mice, essentially all transmitted bacteria produced Erp proteins, also suggestive of continual Erp expression during mammalian infection. Shortly after the larvae acquired bacteria, Erp production was drastically downregulated. The expression of Erp proteins on B. burgdorferi throughout mammalian infection is consistent with their hypothesized function as factor H-binding proteins that protect the bacteria from host innate immune responses.

Abstract:
Aim/Purpose: This study aims to provide a better understanding of individual acceptance of enterprise resource (ERP) systems. Based on the uses and gratifications theory (UGT) and informing science theory, the study developed and empirically tested a research model to explain the effects of ERP characteristics (specifically, informativeness and enjoyment) on ERP acceptance and use. Background: Individual acceptance of ERP systems is crucial for achieving the benefits associated with ERP systems. Unfortunately, little research has focused on acceptance of ERP systems at the individual level. This study attempts to fill this void. Methodology: A survey questionnaire was distributed to ERP users to collect data to empiri-cally test the research model developed in this study. In addition to demographic and background information question, the survey contained instruments to measure the study variables. Contribution: The empirical results show that UGT provides a sound theoretical framework for explaining users’ gratifications, attitudes, and behavioral intentions toward adopting and using an ERP. These results support the view that subsumes information systems and other fields that endeavor to inform their audience. Findings: Individuals’ perceptions of the informativeness and entertainment of ERP systems demonstrated strong direct effects on attitude toward using and satisfaction with ERP systems. In turn, satisfaction with ERP systems showed a direct significant impact on intention to use an ERP system. Recommendations for Practitioners: Maintaining a favorable environment and designing training workshops that highlight the information and enjoyment aspects of an ERP can boost users’ perceptions of ERP informativeness and enjoyment and, eventually, improve their attitude and satisfaction with an ERP. Recommendation for Researchers: Researchers should test the proposed research model with other types of ERP systems and in different environments to enhance the generalizability of the results to other systems and settings. Impact on Society: The results of is study can be used as a foundation on which to develop plans and design strategies to enhance individual acceptance of ERP systems and realize the benefits associated with these systems. Future Research: Future research should extend the research model by integrating other personal and technology variables to provide further insights into what influences individuals to accept or reject an ERP system.

An Enterprise Resource-Planning (ERP) system is a complex, highly integrated software package for business organizations. However, an ERP system still has its limits, since the ERP business model is centered around individual enterprises. Today there is a great need for closer interactions between enterprises worldwide, a necessity that ERP systems face great difficulties with, when expanding to a full-on ecosystem. By integrating Blockchain Technology (BT) with ERP, we are entering a new epoch of decentralization, allowing organizations to function frictionless in a unified ecosystem. This study highlights the importance of integrating BT and ERP systems as well as explores the major prospective pillars for utilizing BT and ERP. This paper contributes to the academic literature, since there is little research evidence concerning the technical and business aspects of BT and ERP, so it fills the gap by exploring the main potential areas for deploying BT and ERP systems.

A for-profit organization believes that ERP (enterprise resource planning) system effectiveness can be achieved through long-term rather than short-term processes. Moreover, some large corporations benefit more than others from the use of ERP software. As a result, the ERP system is now live. This study aims to demonstrate the numerous benefits of effective ERP system implementation from the organization's infancy to maturity. In addition, the researcher and analyst investigate the ERP system's application in numerous businesses by analyzing and reviewing previous academic journals and research. This research employs a semi-systematic literature review as its methodology. In this research paper, the fundamental concept of the ERP system and its organizational benefits are discussed. From a review of the relevant literature, this study discusses the aforementioned statement using case studies to demonstrate the ERP experiences of various companies. This research also reveals that implementing the ERP system is regarded as one of the most challenging projects that require collaboration between ERP project members. Theoretically, there is no end date for ERP implementation, particularly after the system has been established and implemented.

Abstract The increasing needs of community travel in DKI Jakarta area that is not balanced with the growth of roads have resulted in traffic congestion. One effort to address the problem is to implement a traffic restriction policy using Electronic Road Pricing system (ERP). This research aims to analyze the existing condition of traffic characteristics on the road sections reviewed, analyze the opportunities of road users mobility against ERP system, and analyze the potential implementation of ERP system. Data collected from traffic survey results and distribution of questionnaires to users of four-wheeled vehicles. To analyze the existing condition of traffic characteristics using the calculation method of Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia 2014, and to analyze the chances of road users to ERP system using binary Logistic regression analysis method. Meanwhile, to analyze the potential implementation of ERP system is to compare the cost of congestion before ERP with predictions when ERP policy is implemented. From the results of the calculations and analysis, the road condition will experience a decrease in vehicle volume by 50% when ERP system is applied so that the degree of saturation in the road is very good compared to the condition before implementation of ERP system. Besides, there are congestion cost savings of Rp.532,291.998/hour for rush hour and Rp.294,167.785/hour for peak hours when ERP system is implemented. Therefore, the result is that the ERP system has good potential to be applied to reduce congestion in DKI Jakarta.

ERP systems is a packaged business software system that enables a company to manage the efficient and effective use of resources and providing a total integrated solution for the organization's information-processing needs. But, ERP systems success own is not easily to be reached, because ERP software is not something that while is assembled/ implementation gets to walk success by itself. In this article tries to identify critical success factors (CSFs) ERP implementation. There are 14 CSFs and 10 failure factors that shall be regarded in the ERP Implementation. Keywords: ERP; ERP Implementation; critical success factors.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT An individual Borrelia burgdorferi bacterium can encode as many as 13 different Erp (OspE/F-related) proteins from mono-and bicistronic loci that are carried on up to 10 separate plasmids. We demonstrate through multilabel immunofluorescence analyses that individual bacteria simultaneously coexpress their entire Erp protein repertoire. While it has been proposed that B. burgdorferi controls expression of Erp and other plasmid-encoded proteins through changes in DNA topology, we observed regulated Erp expression in the absence of detectable differences in DNA supercoiling. Likewise, inhibition of DNA gyrase had no detectable effect on Erp expression. Furthermore, expression of loci physically adjacent to erp loci was observed to be independently regulated. It is concluded that Erp expression is regulated by a mechanism(s) directed at erp loci and not by a global, plasmid-wide mechanism.

Abstract:
Successful of ERP system adoption in the company is one of the keys for the continuity of the company's business. Since a lot of financials, time and human resources are invested on ERP adoption, there must be an evaluation of ERP system to assess whether the ERP system adoption is successful or not. Some models have been developed by some researchers to assess the evaluation of ERP success. Each model has important factors used to assess the success of ERP. This study analyzes several factors that measure ERP success derived from several ERP success models to identify the important degree of each factor. The method used in this research is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with the assessment data obtained from 3 experts who have the competence and experience regarding ERP system. The results of this study found that the benefit of use, organizational impact, and user satisfaction are the 3 main subfactors with the highest important degree values.

Abstract:
In the context that the use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system becomes more and more popular, this study seeks to investigate the relationship between task-technology fit (TTF) and job satisfaction to provide an additional evidence for evaluating the success of ERP application. Data was collected from a survey on 225 users of ERP systems in enterprises in Vietnam. The results from PLS analysis revealed that TTF is positively correlated with job satisfaction in an ERP environment. This study provides empirical evidence for the application of background theories including TTF and information systems success by DeLone and McLean. In addition, the results also added to the literature the success of ERP, in particular the job satisfaction of ERP users. On the basis of these results, businesses can plan to apply ERP to increase the job satisfaction, thereby increasing the likelihood of success in ERP application. At the same time, ERP vendors and implementers can provide better advice and support for their customers.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA) and the diffusion of innovation framework, this study examines the key determinants and outcomes of enterprise resource planning (ERP) adoption. The study specifically investigated the impact of system quality and user training on ERP adoption intention. Further, the impacts of ERP adoption intention and personal innovativeness on ERP adoption were also studied. User satisfaction with ERP and user engagement were considered as the two outcomes of ERP adoption. To achieve these objectives, an online survey was conducted and data was collected from 180 ERP users across multiple industries in India to understand their perception of such matters. Structural equation modeling using the partial least square approach was used to test the proposed hypotheses. The results of SEM analysis supported all the hypotheses under investigation. These results provide relevant evidence that may encourage organizations to understand the key determinants of successful ERP adoption and its significant impacts on user satisfaction with ERP and user engagement.
