Full textThe purpose of this thesis is the analysis of the innovation behaviour of firms in Tunisia. The analysis focuseson the economic conditions that motivate firms to innovate, those which direct their innovation activitiesand those that make difficult their success. The thesis is organized into two parts. The first one presents apresentation of modern theories of innovation, the characteristics of the Tunisian economy and those of thesurvey on innovation in Tunisia, used in the analysis. The second part of the thesis presents the econometricand statistical results of the analysis of determinants of innovation in Tunisia. The analysis is refined on morespecific questions, particularly relevant in the context of a developing country like Tunisia and related withthe implemented policies and the strategy of international specialization chosen in this country. The analysisleads to a first picture of innovation activities in Tunisia, which leads us to wonder about the relationshipbetween export strategies and innovation activities of firms. Another international dimension of the modernstrategies of development concerns the role of the foreign direct investments in the innovation. The thesisexamines, finally, the dimensions of the Tunisian economy which are perceived by firms as weakening theirability to innovate

Full textThe objective of this thesis is to investigate the determinants of eco-innovation and the barriers that impede it, as well as to assess its impact on the environmental performance, the economic performance in terms of growth and profitability as well as the companies’ reputation. Our approach includes two parts; the first one presents the state of the art of the eco-innovation phenomenon accompanied by the presentation of the specificities of Tunisia, which is our field of research the second one, which is of empirical order, includes a survey carried out among159 Tunisian industrial companies. The data were analyzed using the following methods: principal component analysis, the discriminant analysis, and multiple regressions. Our main findings identified four important points.Firstly, the practice of eco-innovation is less widespread than that of non-ecological innovation.Secondly, the barriers to eco-innovation fall into the typology of market barriers, knowledge barriers, and cost barriers. Thirdly, there are four determinants that particularly stimulate eco-innovation, such as technology, competitive pressure, expected benefits and market instruments, while command and control regulatory instruments and ecological consumer’s demand do not contribute significantly. Fourthly, ecoinnovation has a significant impact on both environmental performance and firms’ reputation, but does not directly improve economic performance in terms of economic growth and profitability
Kharrat, Sana. Thesis, Université Paris-Saclay (ComUE), 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016SACLV119.
Full textThe objective of this thesis is to identify the existence of potential links between innovation and business performance on the one hand, and innovation and sustainability of the company on the other. The use of organizational innovations and / or technology is now considered critical to the performance and the sustainability of the business. This research work studies the importance of innovation as a key element to success and business survival, while involving the three variables throughout our empirical research. The latter is performed through three case studies in the mobile telecommunications sector. Performing a qualitative analysis of the collected data and based on the theories, we found that innovation seems to have higher contribution to the sustainability than to the performance of the studied firms. This lag is mainly due to contextual elements as well as to the approach towards the potential contribution of innovation

Full textAt our present time, the information represents a strategic value and a significant proportion of users do not have the financial and human resources to assume this additional charge, and thus to have an edge on competitors. The approach of this thesis dissertation is mainly motivated bu the following observation: many professionals and researchers have found that business intelligence is neglected in SMES. The goal of our research experience was to integrate this economic intelligence strategy within SMES of "Marseille Innovation", a leading business development center in the mediterranean region, and with some tunisians partners. This monitoring device consists of a set of free tools on the Internet, such like, (intelligent agent, intelligence software, metaserach,. . . ) and so forth. Our methodology is based upon an analysis of survey concerning a sample of SMES located in the business centers of Marseille Innovation (France) and ElGhazela (INSAT, Tunisia). Furthermore, a study of the feedback is performed. And all that allowed us to observe the real world needs and to interpret them based on different theorical approaches. Last but not least, our research project shows clearly that the scheme of business intelligence that we have adopted may be convenient to many companies that cannot afford the costs of the information in a very competitive environment where knowledge is very essential

Full textThe traceability is considered as an answer to the state of uncertainty due mainly to the foodcrises of the end of the XXth century. With the application of the European regulationsn°178/2002 on January 1st, 2005, all the actors of the food chain must be mobilized to bring the maximum of guarantee and insurance to the final consumers, in terms of quality and safety. In the case of the Tunisian date sector, the traceability - as an approach of strategic management- appears like a managerial innovation which always comes within the phase of adoption. Our research comes within the scope of this framework. The aim of this research is to identify the determiners of the adoption of an approach of traceability with the example of the companies of date conditioning in Tunisia. So we present a modelling by suggesting associating the theory of the stakeholders to the theory of diffusion and adoption of the innovation. We discuss three generic propositions of research put forward by basing on a qualitative analysis with conditioning date companies considered as "pioneers" in tunisian traceability. The results of this research end up in the elaboration of a set of determiners of the adoption of the traceability with in the conditioning date companies’ link in Tunisia. It represents the characteristics of the traceability, the characteristics of the organization and, the characteristics of the environment such as specified in our model, to which it is advisable to add the fourth element stemming from the analysis of the interviews and which concerns the transversal factors

Full textThe question related to the dynamic of absorptive capacity in context of alliances is still remaining restricted in theory to developed countries. The theory, insist exclusively, on the role of technological cooperation on developing absorptive capacity. The industrial alliances are considered as only a way to technology transfer, incorporated in machines. But the success stories of new emergent countries expect us to explore the relation between industrial alliances and the development on technological absorptive capacity. In the context on Integration process North-South, to build a commercial and technological zone of integration (Euro-Med), our case tend to analyse not only, the interdependence between initial capabilities, and the absorptive capacity in context on alliances, but also, the role of factors which influence the dynamic of this capacity

Full textThe last two decades have been marked by the rise of emerging economies and the emergence of start-ups and Hi-Tech SMEs with high international growth. This trend has spawned a new area of research, international entrepreneurship in emerging economies. The purpose of this qualitative research is to study the factors that influence the process of identifying international opportunities in technological SMEs from an emerging economy, Tunisia. To this end, we are studying the process of internationalization of seven Tunisian technological SMEs in the information and communications technology sector. The results of the intra- and inter-case analysis identify entrepreneurial personality traits, international entrepreneurial capabilities and relational networks as the three main categories of factors that influence the identification of international opportunities. Our research results in the formulation and discussion of eight proposals that make it possible to schematize an explanatory model of the internationalization of technological SMEs emerging from emerging economies
