This research work examines the computational practices of Congolese primary school teachers who have been introduced to computer tools and services as part of the Francophone initiative for distance teacher training (IFADEM, in French). It proposes a discourse that distances itself from any a priori conformity or non-conformity to the norms of use prescribed by the body of trainers in information and communication technologies for education (ICTE). The aim of this doctoral project is to understand the "reversed" mechanisms - as singular as they are individual, as novel as they are unstable - by which each practitioner reinvents the use of ICTE (abnormal computational usage practices). What are the representational, contextual, pedagogical and transliterative factors by which some of these users act as practitioner-refusers? To answer this question, we carried out a microsociological analysis. Our methodology is based on a research-action-training approach, using both qualitative (interviews and screen tracking) and quantitative (statistical processing of questionnaires) techniques. Contrary to our initial hypotheses, the conclusions we reached are rather surprising

The status of the French language in the Democratic Republic of Congo (RDC) is shallow. Is this a second or a foreign language? This confused situation is disturbing its teaching, due to a lack of a precise and appropriate methodology. The language produced by the students is torned apart, especially on the lexical and grammatical aspects. The lack of clearness and the incoherence of their expression is also something to be underlined. To solve this situation, it is necessary to use an explicit teaching in depth and to practice logical-semantical and logical-syntaxic structures, through the basic and fundamental texts. A text analysis, in the goal to explore and explain the nuances of the author, through the used key word, will be the methodology, instead of other text analysis, and stimulation of the expression (language and communication needs) will caracterized this type of teaching of the French language

The educational systems of Sub-Saharan Africa countries are confronted with a strong financial crisis ; this makes it difficult for them to improve the level of the human assets, which is a necessary but not a sufficient condition to ensure the economic growth process. The scrutiny of the scale of this crisis and of its consequences on the supply and the demand in education in a few Sub-Saharan Africa countries helps to see what political authorities, planifiers and public administrations can do to solve the theoretical and pratical problems their educational systems are faced with. The results of empirical studies on the analysis of the relationship between the pedagogical inputs and the pupils learning outputs contribute to define more efficient educational policies thank to lower cost and their efficiency, in view of the qualitative and quantitative development of better educational systems. The mean educational level of the active population's future generations can therefore be improved with the same volume of educational investments, or even with a lower volume

In the 80's, the people in the region of Kwango, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, started growing niebe, a crop unknown until then. I wanted to explore the factors of that trend, and the changes it brought in that society. I went through the approaches adopted by scientists who studied the diffusion of innovations, and I did my fieldwork in the concerned region. These made me single out the crisis that affected the Kwango society as the main factor of the diffusion of niebe. For the society as a whole, what was at stake is getting out of that crisis. For the individuals, the aim in adopting that crop was power. This is shown by the changes that took place in that society that was undergoing a deep social change due to the end of the dictator rule. The activities related to the niebe crop were the one giving access of power. The fact that the whole society of Kwango does not show signs of local development yet made me look for the obstacles due to become the target of later development actions

We have endeavoured to evaluate different actions about the renerwing of congolese educational system. The importance of these innovations, particulary those which the etablishement of l'ecole du peuple leads us to wonder about the amount of hinderances and problems which result from the application of this educational system on the congolese society. Our dissertation consists of showing that different decisions concerning educational amendments, from the colonial period up to now particu lary in our country and in africa in general come simply to a deadlook. The breaking points already notical since independance become real at all levels of schooling causing economical and social drawbacks for the people's republic of congo. The congolese educational system abounds with reforms and with new projects which follow one another. Since the reform about l'ecole du peuple has been worked out and applied we wonder about the link between the project and its realisation the link between the arms and these which have already been pulpilled. Our work consists of bringing out the correlation or the divergence between these two aspects "realities"
