In Rwandan society, the child is a treasure to be protected. But those who survived the genocide and massacres of 1994 present post traumatic troubles which are stopping them from following a normal school education. The current situation in Ruanda brings to mind the neuroses occasioned by war, which Louis Crocp calls post traumatic stress syndrome. The DSM-III defines post traumatic stress syndrome as the reliving of the traumatic event, reduction of contact with the exterior world, and a variety of neurovegetative, dysphoric and cognitive symptoms. The survey carried out amongst the parents, the “teachers” and children confirms that the post traumatic stress syndrome is closely linked to the war in 1994, and shows the degree of psychological damage caused by the war especially in the children and the young people of 8-20 years. In this situation, education is one of the principal tools for reintegrating the victims of these dramas. The aim of education is to help children to reorganise their defences, and to rebuild their self esteem in order to get over the traumatism and reconstruct an identity bruised by the genocide. Faced with the psychological suffering of the children, we turned to the use of storytelling as the educational and therapeutic medium. Storytelling has had positive effects on the children who are in the CENA in Kigali. The effects have shown themselves by the willingness of the children to recount their past through traditional Rwandan stories and stories which they made up ; for some this is the beginning of mourning and for others a way of increasing their resilience. It has enabled them to make a step towards psychosocial integration. Analysis of the grid for self esteem show convincingly that story telling has helped to reduce the children's suffering by increasing their self esteem ; so it is worthwhile getting children to work at storytelling so that they can distance themselves from the genocide and project themselves into the future

In many conflicts, the active participation of children is under-estimated. Though, it goes back to ancient times, the child soldier has changed over time, both qualitatively and quantitatively. This increase is not without consequences on the nature of warfare itself. Conflicts become « children’s wars », more violent and less organised than adults’wars. If there is a change in the nature of such conflicts, there must be a change of perspective in the way they are solved and prevented. It is then fundamental to understand the various problems of the DDR processes in order to know how they can be addressed. Incentives for children must also be proposed in order to give them the desire to go back to civil life, by addressing their economic, social, educational and professional needs. The social community cannot be left outside these processes. It becomes also essential to direct our efforts toward the prevention of children’s wars. The multiplication of actors interested in prevention is a tremendous chance to come to that result : states, regions, sub-regions, the Security Council and the ICC show that many preventive rungs may exist. The recruitment and participation of children in conflicts appears as the result of a four-level-equation : it needs to be seen as a humanitarian issue, a violation of fundamental children’s rights, a denial of the right to social development, and a security matter. Consequently, in order to prevent children’s wars, it is absolutely essential to acknowledge this multiplicity and to address it quickly and comprehensively

Although the first attempts devoted to lebanese children had been indicated in the beginning of the sixties the theatre for children in lebanon (new its bloom) with the civil war launching in 1975, the two most representative figures of this theatre are the animators najla khoury and maha neeme so we established a thematic analysis of the work of both animators in the first part of this thesis, in the second part the emphasis is put on the conception, the evolut ion of the characters and the action. In these works moreover a study in details had been devoted to technic process and stylistic adapted to the analysed plays. The personnality of the folk storyteller has been widely called up in their works. At last the eductional study which has been brought up from the analysis of the palys has been an opportunity to draw up a socio-political comparison between both theatres for children in lebanon and in syria

The term « forbidden relationships » refers to contacts between German civilians and French prisoners of war present on the territory of the Reich during the Second World War. Forbidden by the decree of Verbotener Umgang mit Kriegsgefangenen from November 1939 , such contacts were banned both for military security reasons and in the name of National Socialist racial ideology. Thanks to a substantial corpus of judicial files related to this crime, the thesis analyses the tens of thousands of relationships that have taken place. It shows the gap between “the norm” and reality during this period. It reflects the difficulty in controlling the civilian population during times of conflict and the agency of the actors. With the help of these different trajectories, and thanks to the contributions of micro history, this study contributes to approaching war in a different way, through a story of intimacy and love. It defends the hypothesis that forbidden relations contributed to the writing of a different history, one of Franco-German relations at the heart of the Second World War. In order for this to be understood requires a historical anthropological approach and the questioning of relationships to sexuality and the structures of kinship
