Huang, Xin. "Construction de l’identité culturelle d’adolescents nés en France issus de l’immigration chinoise : une étude exploratoire du rôle de l’école et des réseaux sociaux." Electronic Thesis or Diss., Lyon 2, 2023. http://www.theses.fr/2023LYO20101.
Full textThis communication aims to analyze the roles of both school and out-of-school contexts in shaping the cultural identity (Charaudeau, 2001; Plivard, 2014) of French-born adolescents with a Chinese immigrant background. Here in this communication, we will examine the impact of these roles on adolescents' choice of acculturation strategies and on their more or less successful adaptation process. An important factor to pay attention to is the characteristic of Chinese culture. While Chinese culture is often associated with values such as obedience, it does not appear to pose significant obstacles for Chinese immigrants when assimilating into French culture. But what can be said when one is shaped by the values of both cultures, which are sometimes contradictory? How can traditional values be reconciled with the demands of digital culture and globalization? This research was geographically situated in the context of Lyon and historically took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. We worked with Franco-Chinese adolescents aged 11 to 19, who come from both culturally mixed and non-mixed families. Data were collected by means of a questionnaire and an interview with a sample of adolescents from middle and high schools in two educational establishments in the Lyon region. We worked with the responses of 108 questionnaire respondents and 23 interview participants. Two profiles are observed: the linguistic profile and the cultural profile, to assess the sense of belonging of our subjects to both cultures. The linguistic profile mainly relates to language proficiency and language usage, while the cultural profile primarily investigates the subjects' knowledge of both cultures and their engagement with cultural codes. For adolescents, family and school are the most important spheres of their daily lives. They constitute the multilingual environment for these bilingual adolescents. The essential factors for the construction of their cultural identity take place within these two spheres. The influence of social relationships, with the family being the main element, is deeply ingrained in the mindset of adolescents. It should not be overlooked that school has a faster and stronger impact on their current lives. Both of them play a fundamental and significant role in the construction of the cultural identity of Franco-Chinese adolescents

It aims at showing, on the one hand, in an intercultural and differential approach, the effect of the moment of daily performance and weekly performance, as well as weekly variations of sleep duration according to age, educational level and geographic background of the children. On the other hand, the impact of life place (city/ country) on the school timetables

Those relations, embedded in a system of actions on the action of others (in this case, the provision system of furniture manufactered in France), involve, on the one hand, the existence of a type of object on the market, and on the other hand, the construction of Chinese immigrants as lacquerers, of French buyers as amateurs, of French apprentices as craftsmen

Full textThis research concerns representations of France and the French people that have Chinese French language learners. The corpus is constituted semi-directif interviews. The interviews' analyses (thematic and linguistic) allow us to see how the French language teaching and the aim of this teaching beside the monolingual (Chinese) learners and the bilingual (English-Chinese) learners influence our learners' representations. It is likely that the ethnocentrism dominates differently the representations of the Chinese learners depending on their different residence. The role that plays French language teaching and the aim of this teaching are absolutely determent. The social and cultural identities have equally an important role. The bilinguism, if it is totally considered as a communication tool, is not necessary an opening factor. This leads us to propose specific opening procedures toward the otherness, in the context of foreign language teaching

Full textThis thesis is composed of two distinct and complementary parts. The first one deals with the educational surroudings and the content of studies, the second one breats of the students and their course of studies. The house of oratory in effiat was set up in 1627. It is studied here from 1776 to 1793 at the time when it used to be a military school. Three classes of students attended it : the boarders, those who receveived a grant from the marquiess and the king's students. Whether there were secular or religious teachers, the program was very thourough. To the ordinary course of studies were added foreign languages, experimental sciences, art lessons and physical exercises too. All that was organised, in a dynamic of success, around general classes of humanities and rhetoric as welle as group teaching suiting the students'standard. The study of the geographical and social backround of the 640 enlisted students shows thath effiat school was a school for aristocrats'sons, which was open to the rising middle-classes in a recruiting zone of two areas : auvergne and bourbonnais and theirs outshirts. Going through their course of studies throws light on the weight of their military vocation or their choice of another trade when the students left the school. The french revolution which disrupted all careers put an end to the existence of the school. Yet, the tremendous professionnal and political success of its former students from the republic to the july monarchy attests the students'qualification and the efficiency of the educational methods used there really gained powers to make decisions in the geographical areas where they were the most numerous. Their children started to take over from them and the historian is tempted to say that effiat school did more than reproducing an elite, it also cultivated the ambition of renewing it, in number and quality
Wang, Mo. "Styles cognitifs des élèves chinois de l'enseignement secondaire en Chine et leurs influences sur l'éducation mathématique." Thesis, Lyon, 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016LYSE2088/document.
Full textThe cognitive style is a well-developed and studied domain in western countries, especially in USA, but it is still a new ground for Chinese researchers. This conception is about the personality, the way to treat the received information for individuals, and it can also influence the education, which includes of course the mathematic education. In China, the mathematic is a principle subject at school in the Chinese educational system. With a special background in the society of China, a special educational system has been formed. The secondary education is the most typical in this educational system, and we need to think about the most frequent cognitive styles among Chinese students and also the cognitive style of each student to find the best methods to make the mathematic education better and more appropriate. For this destination, we need to consider the side of learning and the side of teaching. Therefore, our work will start by a presentation of the researches of cognitive styles and those mature theories, which can be our theoretical base, and then we will connect the education of mathematic with cognitive styles by a presentation of the situation of mathematics education in China. With the results of our research, we will analysis and make some advises about the politics of education, of the teaching and learning methods to try to ameliorate the mathematic education in China with help of cognitive styles and this research

Full textOur inquiry begins by shedding light on a contradiction within the flourishing state of Sino-French exchanges: on one hand, the many exchanges between the two cultures and the increasing importance of French, which are accompanied by the positive representations of France in China; on the other hand, the difficulty for the Chinese to integrate in France, whichcauses a less than positive image. Our doctoral research project focuses on the impact of China's social representations on the image of France among the Chinese. To do this, our study follows a qualitative approach, is based upon preliminary questionnaires and interviews with Chinese of varied profiles. This study has led us to analyze historical and social factors in China, which interfere with the representations of France among the Chinese, and which are a determining factor in theirchoice of France. It appears that some Chinese intermediaries convey embellished images of France; nonetheless, these images are simplified and static. Furthermore, in the process of choosing France among Chinese respondents, pragmatic motivations dominate. Moreover, there is a contradictory situation in the teaching and learning of French in China, which may explain the difference between the France of dreams and the France of everyday life. At the same time, a inferiority complex on the Sino-western relationship appears through our analysis. It boils down to a contradictory vision that encompasses a desire and a rejection of the West

Full textThis research takes the international Education system and it questions the welcoming of international students in France. This subject has produced many analyses and proposals. The alarming reduction in the number of foreign students is a source of fundamental discussion bringing a fresh climate of reflection. The actions taken in France to welcome foreign students have to be integrated in a hard competition where the Education systems of most developed countries are engaged to attract the best students. To give an overall view on the issue of Chinese student in France, the thesis is split into four parts.Social aspects: culture and historyEducation aspects: Education systems of two countries (China and France)Chinese students in FranceProfessionalization of teachers in French as a foreign language"Education" is a Learning pathway, which is a transition from a state of imbalance to a new state of balance featuring better understanding and capacity for action. "Learning" means giving sense to a reality standing as complex but which "I have to adopt".The adult in [education-formation] comes with his cognitive and emotional luggage. Its references are marked by attitudes and eigenvalues. This question is related to the knowledge and the authority, self-image and selfhood: one individual must step back regarding "I", "I am" and "I ought to be".The challenges for adults in [education-formation] are not only professional challenges but also human ones. I.e. it is both a personal ambition and a life course

Full textCompared with other developed countries, the French higher education organizations finally ushered in an immense increase of Chinese students at the beginning of 21st century. The change was characterized by large scale and high speed along with occasional scandals of campus cheating and bribery. Meanwhile, the misery situations of Chinese students were repeatedly reported by different media. In those messages, the media seemed to be trying to convey the idea of Chinese students? influx into France and to foster confusion among the public. Nevertheless, who were those Chinese students? What were they seeking in French universities? Why, for what purpose on earth, did they choose to go there? The educational research approaches of quality and quantity were applied in this thesis. After the longitudinal study on 200 Chinese students who are studying or used to study in French higher education organizations, a clear understanding was obtained about their behaviors, performances and the impact. To be specific, our research resulted in several aspects. Firstly, their preparations and decision for their further study in France ; Secondly, their experiences and performances of studying in France; Thirdly , their strategies for future study and employment or their existence in France . Opposite to their good wishes, they were actually trapped in their choices of going there. They got into great trouble due to lack of financial support, less or no help from social relationship, deficient French capabilities, huge differences of values and cultures. They had to confront with the enormous learning tasks and life trifles, bearing the massive pressure of getting successful all the time. To stay in France or to return to the motherland, to persist in or give up, it would be determined by everybody?s concerns and visible or predictable influential factors. However, this is the realistic situation. From the very beginning, it constituted the unavoidable issue for them. Now, I would like you to follow my statement

Full textThis research aims to demonstrate and analyze the strategies used by the French and the Chinese to defend their face, by adding value to the other in the same time, so that interactions can advance properly. The pivot of our theory is mainly composed of the concept of the face of Erving Goffman, of the analysis of ethnographic interactions in the classroom of Cambra Giné, and methods of analysis of Véronique Traverso. In order to achieve this goal, we observed a group of Chinese learners in a French course at the University of Paris V for 2 months and made video recordings. It is from the original database that we have performed a very detailed transcription, in which not only the status are finely cut, but mimo-gestural and extralinguistic languages are also highlighted. On the other hand, a highly refined analysis reveals even the subtlest strategies. The results we have obtained clearly reflect, in the strategies of face games, a cultural difference in the interpretation of these strategies by the French and the Chinese. However, we noticed that the statutes teachers / learners have also played an important role, which determines certain actions of the participants. This study may be useful for those who want or are preparing to teach the French language to a Chinese public or people who share the Chinese culture (such as people in Hong Kong, the Taiwanese, the Singaporean, etc. )

Full textWe studied: acculturation mode, coping strategies, cultural adaptation of Chinese student-sojourners in France. 345 Chinese students, ages 19-38, in France for less than 2 years, enrolled in higher education institutions. 59 Chinese students, ages 19-26, having never left China. Likert questionnaire measuring: environment, person, coping, cultural adaptation. 9 hypotheses were tested (p ≤. 05). Previous knowledge of French predicts better academic results regardless previous academic performance. Programs taught in English generate stress. Separation is preferred acculturation mode. Adaptive coping is used. A coping style proper to Chinese students seems relevant. Self-esteem predicts (14%) Psychological well-being; Social Affiliation, Perceived stress predict (44%) Sociocultural adaptation. Psychosomatic complaints predict bad adaptation; assistance offered by the school has positive influence. New research should encourage the development of consistent international student policy

Full textWhile French higher education knew few Chinese students until the beginning of the 21st century. Today, they constitute the largest foreign student community from a non-French speaking country. Their sudden arrival is a result of strategies in a particular national context. Forty years’ Economic Reform have changed the society and pushed China into an almost free economic system. The massification and commodification in education increase the fierce competition in the job market where students are unequal according to their background, residence's area (selected by Hukou), gender, etc. Today, higher education thus appears as a tool to determine the social trajectory (a renowned degree opening employment's door). It is under this pressure that Chinese students go to study all over the world to strengthen their competitiveness. France diplomas are both well recognized and relatively "cheap". However, success is not guaranteed once they leave the origin country, but a beginning of a journey made of constraints and freedoms, full of challenges and difficulties. It is enriching, adventurous, but also painful. If actual researches on the conditions of success and adaptation are more frequent on native students or on some foreign students, those concerning Chinese are rare. This research aims to complete our knowledge on Chinese students' success and adaptation's conditions in France. The results are based on quantitative surveys (national and local) and qualitative interviews (41 interviews on three sites : France, China and the United States). The results show that Chinese students have a lower success rate than French, but also lower than other foreign students. Several factors explain this phenomenon : their motivations to come to study in France are often due to dissatisfaction in previous studies in China. Their low French level makes it more difficult to succeed in higher education and increases difficulties in adapting. The majority of them come from middle social categories and have to complete financial resources with a part-time job. In addition, while female students benefit often from family financial support, they are not always encouraged to stay in school as long as male students. In a very patriarchal society, girls reduce their professional ambition to not to threaten their future husband’s dominant role. Finally, those who have a strong background (good previous results, riche family, etc.) accumulate their advantages along the whole trajectory. This phenomenon leads to reflect on the higher education’s role in correcting social inequalities. What's more, in the job market, Chinese graduates from France are often discriminated by their employers against candidates from prestigious American institutions where students are very selected according to their financial conditions

Since "Les Magiciens de la Terre" first exposure of Fei Dawei which presented for the first time at the Western public of Chinese contemporary works and especially since the events of the Place Tien An Men, the Chinese contemporary art took a dominating place on the international scene to become omnipresent. Today, no biennial or international artistic event is conceived without works, installations or performances of Chinese artists. XXIe century is obviousness: the Chinese contemporary art makes sell. But not any subject. Between the "chinoiseries" appraisals by the Westerners and works which do nothing but take again the traditional tradition without renewal of the techniques and the topics, are interesting on the topic of the man, innovating, significant creations, often provocative but always in close relation with the Chinese company in full change. The Chinese contemporary art has this of private individual who it is closely related to the individual and collective memory of people which underwent an important change since the death of Mao Tse Toung. The Chinese artists exiled in France have this of private individual whom they deliver an astonishing vision of the man and his place in the contemporary company. It is not a question only of the Chinese man but of the very short man. Creating a true esthetics of displacement, they question the statute of the artist through often violent and dark disconcerting works. In a company in full transformation, between passed and present, memory and lapse of memory, the question of the identity is a true way of cross for these artists in search of Ego and Other. Because what to be Chinese today? Or is it I? To go to is the meeting of the Other to go to the meeting of oneself? Is the exile the means of being or contrary to losing itself? Who am I? These existential questions become extensive in glance of the exile, "displacement"

In addition, the difference is made between what the student will have to know within the scolar community, for exemple the rights for the present time, and what he will most likely look for in the teaching that he receives, wich is to sow the rights to the futures

Full textZaji (杂技), which means « various competences » and is sometime translated in French "Acrobatie chinoise", is a form of art at least three thousand years old. To date, there is no French synthesis available to trace its origin, development and evolutions up to the present day. This thesis aims to fill this gap by documenting the subject from a corpus of Chinese and French publications and documentation. The author of the thesis, Chinese to French translator and teacher, has conducted an investigation through her access to documentary resources, exhibits of artifacts and live shows of Chinese acrobatic arts. The thesis provides a synthesis of the results obtained during this survey, presented chronologically in a broad panorama with bibliographical references (250) refrences and iconographical (128).The thesis is composed of three chapters. The first chapter proposes a chronology of the development of the forms of Chinese acrobatics in the context of each dynasty until the last dynasty in 1912, referring to archives and documents in China, including the published and unpublished, original and translations of ancient or contemporary texts. This chapter is completed with the assistance from historians of Zaji such as Professor Fu Quifeng, as well as the support of Nanjing Library. By confronting problems of translations, the thesis makes it accessible to French readers a major history of the world's oldest performing arts. The second chapter examines the integration and reception of Chinese acrobatics in France from senventeenth century to twentieth century and its influences on French theatre, particularly in the fashion of the "Chinoiserie", then go through reciprocal exchanges during the Republic of China until the rebound of Chinese acrobatics in the twentieth century after the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, specifically its new artistic forms and cultural codes, the political messages it conveys, the invitation of Chinese artists to circus festivals in France and Monaco. The third part briefly outlines the perspectives of Sino-French artistic collaboration in circus in the twenty-first century, observes the contribution of Chinese acrobats on the contemporary scene and the influences of the Western live show on contemporary Chinese acrobatics, to finally questions the future of Chinese acrobatics by applying the results of this documentary trip between two cultures, to open the conclusion of this thesis: a French-Chinese circus and acrobatic festival will be organized by the author to explore the artistic and innovating future of Zazi

Full textBefore 1840, China has its own system to address relations with neighboring countries and further afield: the tributary system. China is at the center of this system and dominates its relations with other countries. But the Opium War changed the situation. China is absorbed into the Westphalia system, it must place its relations with Western countries using the Western system. In 1876, China established its first legation in London, in 1878, in Paris. The group of Chinese diplomats in France from 1878 to 1911, is our object of research. We want to answer three questions: 1, Who were they? 2, what did they do in France? And 3, what was their role and place in the social development of China. For the first question, we use the method to analyze prosopography this group. In the absence of a system to train skilled diplomats, the first diplomats are not professional enough. How did they cross the cultural barrier in French society, how have they acted within the scope of their diplomatie functions, what did they bring to China, are the topics we cover. Before 1895, the influences of these diplomats are not political or diplomatie, but social. They contributed to the development of an atmosphere to learn from the West. After 1895, the group of diplomats became more professional. They can participate in social and political reform and play some roles to accelerate the development of China. The study of the birth and development of this new group in the evolution of Chinese society and the interrelationships between this group and the company are the approaches we use to better understand the history of modern China

Full textThis thesis looks at how French students' ideas of the Chinese language affect their study of it. We focus on the way these ideas reflect the reasons for taking up Chinese in the first place, and how they develop as study proceeds. The first section discusses the sociolinguistic position of Chinese as it has changed over time, how its status has evolved in France and in the world. The second part lays out our concepts and the methods (questionnaires and interviews) employed in our research. In the third part we present our principal conclusions concerning students' ideas about Chinese and the effect of these on their commitment to their studies. Our relevant research lets us provide evidence confirming that these ideas have an important effect here. Actually, students evolve in their sense of the language. These changes can affect the nature and intensity of their commitment to their studies, depending on how they are when they begin, how long they stay with their study, and aims of study as they develop; also in the way they incorporate these studies into their daily lives and in their sense of the future. Sometimes these changes are influenced by externalities, having to do with sociabilty, friends, family, institutional or professional expectations. In conclusion we take the opportunity to make some suggestions, on the basis of our results, for changes in teaching Chinese which could improve classroom practice and revive the commitment of the students

Full textFor historical reasons, China has a conservative and relatively closed legal culture. At the same time, the wine sector in France, seen as a national heritage, is also marked by strong conservatism. Moreover, western vitivinicultural practice hardly ever existed before its recent introduction in China. The Chinese investment in France in the wine sector was forced to break through a tunnel between two isolated worlds. During this particular process, legal risks and litigation arise due to legal surprises that may arise during the investment process. Faced with this problem, the written law seems insufficient, given the peculiarities of Chinese investment and the specificities of the wine sector. When these two particularities meet, new legal instruments are created. Specific practices for this purpose are "invented" by the parties involved, in order to eliminate the risks as well as possible litigations caused by the shortcomings of the written law

Full textConsidering the changes, which have taken place inside and outside Junior High Schools since 1968, the study analyses the democratisation of school, how it operated. It more particularly stresses the role played by the elected representatives of the students and of the parents in the decision-making meetings where they are to sit. To deal with this matter, the text is organised as fallows : the 1rst part treats the emergence of democracy in the educational system and the historical evolution towards the Junior High School, the "school for everybody". In the 2nd part, within the context of this junior high school, we'll study the role of the elected representatives of the students and parents and the way they are perceived since the origin of the Reform and during its period of implementation. We'll consider the institutionnalisation of these functions, the rules and the structures which regulate them, the fields in which they intervene, the motivations, the conditions in which these delegations are prepared and organized, the resistances they meet and the progress noticed. In the 3rd part, perspectives built from the previous analysis stress a more motivated and dynamic involvement from both students and parents in the achievement of the "school policy", a way that gives priority to the notion of democracy and citizenship. To conclude, the evolution of the system seems to be linked to the recognized and active participation of the elected representatives of students and parents

A research for the differences and the ressemblances has been carried out on the following subjects: the ship; the personnel of the maritime enterprise; the contract of carriage of goods by sea; the contract of chart party; the maritime mortgage and the maritime lien; the collision; the salvage; the general average and the marine insurance. In order to have a better comprehension of the characteristics of the chinese maritime law, a general introduction has been made in the first part and an introduction to the maritime litigation in china has been made in the complementary chapter of the third part. This research shows that, on one hand, the chinese maritime law is made up of the juridical conceptions of the different systems, and on the other hand, inspite of their diffrent social political system, there is more analogy than antagonism in the maritime law of these two countries

Full textIn terms of the legal interpretation, the role of the judge takes place between the facts and the law. The judge is not only charged with analyzing and determining the factual elements, but he also aims to exercise the qualification of the fact and apply the rules of law. This is why legal interpretation is generally divided into two aspects, i.e. the interpretation of the fact and that of the law. The interpretation of the contract, in principle, belongs to the first aspect. More precisely, the law, as general and abstract rule, is the expression of the general will, while the contract is only a translation of several individual wills. This dissertation analyzes the issues aroused by the theory and practice of the interpretation of the contract: In what condition can the judge exercise his capacity of interpretation of the contract? Should the interpretation of the contract aim exclusively at the common intention of the parties or aim not only at the will of the contracting parties but also the internal and external objective elements of the contract? Can the interpretation of the contract fill in the lacunas of the contract? Can the rules of public order become the foundation of the interpretation of the contract? Does the correction of the content of the contract need the participation of the interpretation of the contract? The research of the above mentioned issues determines, in fact, the interest of the plan of this dissertation. Theoretically, the work of this dissertation challenges the traditional definition of the interpretation of the contract, by annotating again the sense and the spirit of the classic rules of interpretation, and analyzing the role of the rules of public order in the interpretation of the contract. In practice, the work of this dissertation is founded on a profound research of the functions of the interpretation of the contract in the judiciary activities

Full textOur research, mainly aimed at the Chinese students before their departure for France, is in the purpose of helping them to start the first step and acquiring the elementary knowledge in French learning. On their arrival in France, they are facing considerable challenges in mastering French, for them, to reach a relatively satisfactory language level is considered to be a really difficulty to overcome. The support structures as well as the use by the students in the French cities where locate many universities are to be discussed here. The anxieties to get the diploma, together with the fulfillment of the hope placed by their families are omnipresent. It can explain the priority which has given to the assigned reading. The paper books reading remains the preferred mode of reading, even if internet viewing plays an important part in the reading schedule. These readings, as an addition part in comparison to the assigned scholar reading, will help to meet the personal interest according to the periods of time and situations. The concrete survey was conducted by steps under the great political tension between France and China. This critical period of situation has been monitored for its impact on reading practices. It confirms a difference point of view observed by the third party- in the reading practices and opinions, depending on the period of their stay in France. Empirical research could benefit from reading letters from students to their families. It is also based on the use of a questionnaire distributed to a certain hundred copies. Observations made in Chinese bookstores, at the Chinese embassy in Paris, and during a stay in a university dormitory on living with a dozen of students also contribute a lot to this research. Various proofs also could be found in the impact of the French knowledge upon returning to China and the activity concerning the cultural and literal structure exchange between France and China

The analysis aims at clarifying the views on the acts of teaching and learning. Only teacning is considered : the teacher, through the mere power of his speech, "conveys" the knowledge. The studient plays no part in this process : it is nothing but the teacher's doing. On the contrary, for best and al. , it's the students who learn, but, inorder that they are truly regarded throughout their spontaneous development, they should learn without any act of teaching. Full textOur study “the use of vernacular and/or common french. Study of orthography. Comparison between gabonese and french schoolchildren” allowed us to compare how successful are the french first form schoolchildren of prioritary education area from paris suburban and the gabonese first form schoolchildren from rural and urban milieu, aged eleven to thirteen in spelling mistakes when both applying for a same exercise of dictation. The out comes have been compared to those of the two previous studies led by Beuvain in 1873 and by Chervel et Manesse in 1987. We drew up a typology of spelling mistakes from the french orthographic plurisystem led by Nina Catach. 1. All patterns make twice more mistakes as those of the 19th and 20th c. Schoolchildren. 2. The difficult words of the 19th and 20th c. Remain the same in the year 2003. The mistakes are of same types. 3. The gabonese schoolchildren from rural milieu make less mistakes than the gabonese schoolchildren from the urban milieu and the french schoolchildren from the prioritary education area and are best in grammar and orthography. We looked for why some schoolchildren make such mistakes, the orthographic understanding are seldom serious. We try beyond the study of performance, the study of orthographic skills. For each type of mistake, we match it with understanding why this mistake occurs

Full textAlthough one can make the general observation that parity is not reached in engineering schools. These establishments gradually opened to students with different social, school and gender-related backgrounds, particulary by includind more scholarship students. But, what about female scholarship students ? The fact that there are no more male-only bastions changes the overall representation of a society based on gender relations. However, this research shows that stereotypes remain significant in these establishments. Through a qualitative and quatitative study, we aimed at showing how female scholarship students have taken less « conventionnal » path. Thanks to twenty interviews with male and female we wanted to know the differents interactions with their social environment. Then, with the creation of a questionnaire, in order to emphasise the convergences and the divergences between them. Our goal is to understand the course of gender and social « mobility » and to highlight the issues of the « cost » of trangression associated with them

Full textChina and France have two different approaches concerning the law of unfair competition; where China has established a special legislation, France depends only on the civil liability law. This thesis is a comprehensive study of the legal system in China. The examination of the law of unfair competition in terms of French and other European rights will be considered in two aspects: theory and regime. It would be advantageous to study the Chinese text of 1993, which is recent but continues to pose a number of problems when put into practice. Thus, there is a need to revise the law and the process leading to a revision is currently underway. Through this study, the major differences between the Chinese and French laws will be demonstrated, but some common ground will also be pointed out. It will also consider the possibility for the Chinese law − under the opportunity of revision and facing the new anti-monopoly Law of 2007 to develop the system of unfair competition in China, permitting an effective enforcement against unfair competition in its national and international dimensions

Full textMost Chinese "take the food for God". For them, feeding treatment is the best way to stay healthy and the first method to cure diseases. According to some ancient chinse philosophers, the fact of eating and drinking was also used to ensure 'social security" and social order. Nowadays, dining in restaurants is a practice that becomes more and more ordinary. Restaurants play an important role in very day life of Chinese. A restaurant is a place to take meals, but also a place for communication. Restaurant is a stage for families, social and professional hierarchy. The hosts earn more faces from dining at high grade restaurants. Consumers with high social status indicate the high ranking of restaurants. Through the choice of restaurants and dishes, we can observe the interpersonal relationship among various people. Roughly, the higher a restaurant's grade is and the more varieties dishes there are, the more distant is the social or sentimental relation among the group. Giving face to somebody is a way to show him respect and recognition. It is a chinese tradition and also a mark of the interpersonal distance. According to our surveys on feeding behaviours of Chinese, conducted in China or in France, our report shows that dining at restaurants has two dominant but non-exclusive significations : to mantain the social link in China, to self-experience a part of national identity in France

Full textThe concept of “Family” as an integral unit of the society has evolved over the years due to several reasons. This changing and complex face of “family” has had many implications on the laws both in China and in France. Hence, we conduct a comparative study to analyze the system of family laws in both these countries. The various questions we address in order to deepen our understanding of family laws can be broadly classified into: the couple and the filiation. As for the couple, we address many questions related not only to the formation of the various modalities of the union but also about their dissolution. We find that the diverse articles on each union brought a system which is more complete in France than in China. With respect to filiation, we distinguish in particular between the filiation bound by blood and that bound by adoption. The ignorance of the mode of establishment of the filiation results in a big gap in the Chinese law. Besides, the basic question of how to adopt a child, the conditions to be respected and the procedures to be finished, the effects stemming from the adoption are also the questions we explore, compare and attempt to solve in this thesis. Besides the several principal points on the family law, we also try to compare and understand the different views/perspectives of these two countries by looking into some other related issues such as the maternity for others, the fictive marriages, etc., as well as how the two countries deal with such matters. Finally, we try to explain why the legal system differs in France and in China and discuss the directions for future research

Full textRecent data indicates that a significant number of students at the end of primary school are not able to understand simple texts (MEN, 2011; PIRLS, 2006). Therefore, new school reforms have emphasized the importance of teaching reading comprehension in a social constructivist perspective and to develop metacognitive skills which are generally lacking in struggling readers (MELS, 2001; MEN, 2008). Following this perspective, the authors of the reciprocal reading model (Palincsar and Brown) have shown the relevance of verbal interactions between peers to develop metacognition. However, little research has attempted to understand how verbal interactions between peers can develop metacognition. In this research, the researcher intervened for sixteen sessions with five students in CM1 with reading comprehension difficulties. He initiated and supported the verbal interactions between peers to allow them to arrive at a metacognitive level. In a qualitative/interpretive perspective, he tried to understand the role of verbal interactions between peers in the metacognitive development. This research helps to understand the process of verbal interaction, such as metacognitive, between peers and to have better understanding of the scaffolding process lead with students

Full textThe purpose of this work is to reveal the breakdown in a process which should have led, from the principle of educability of children, to the inclusion of all pupils with a special educational needs. From the beginnings of our era until today, handicapped pupils, pupils with learning difficulties, but also pupils newly arrived in France and children from travelling families, have certainly seen their conditions of access to education, improve considerably. But, instead of adopting once and for all an inclusive approach, the authorities have set up new conditions of access to schooling for some of these children and teenagers. For the handicapped pupils the law has thus merged ordinary schooling and special education. This research shows how, on the basis of a compromise between integration and inclusion, new concepts have been imported into the educational institution, in particular since the February 2005 law on handicaps. This leads to the emergence of a new three-level educational model, represented by special schooling. A perspective on our education system in its handling of pupils with special educational needs, within the European integration policies, shows how far the adoption of this new model of integration contributes to the French educational exception. Finally, this thesis constitutes a thesaurus of the official texts accompanying this evolution, from the great Ferry laws on education, to the legal and lawful provisions, founded on a double tension : on the one hand, the universal right to education for all the children and, on the other hand, the resistance of certain lobbies of specialists and French society itself, to their inclusion in schools

Full textThe objective of this research is to exploit the intercultural adaptation of the Chinese sojourners - students in France, and more exactly first of all their personal course, secondly their strategies in front of the difficulties of adaptation in the learning of the job of foreign student and that of the job of grown-up student. At present, more than 30.000 Chinese students join every year higher education in France. Taken away from their native country, they have to adapt themselves to a new environment. Because of their difficulties communicating in a foreign language, cultural and social differences and economic pressure, a part of the Chinese students meet problems, both on the plan physical and psychological during their stay in France: difficulties in their adaptation to a new education system, in the way of taking a new and different culture (language barrier, lifestyle, etc.). From the theoretical point of view we are situated in a historico-cultural prospect of the psyche, with the idea that the psychic processes are dependent on the context in which they develop (the theory of the conceptual fields was proposed by Gérard Vergnaud). From the point of view of the concepts and the searches, we use in particular Culture shock of Oberg, U Curved for Kim's dynamic Lysgaard, Pression-adaptation-croissance and Strategies of acculturation of Berry; other reflections concern the factors of influence on the intercultural adaptation and favour our data analyses. This work has implemented a method of construction of the data involving the crossing of several techniques of data collection (cross-fertilization, Acioly-Régnier, on 2010) which combines the ethnographical observation, the narrative of life by band drawn personalized and the maintenance of simple auto-confrontation. Several aspects of the adaptation of the students were approached: passage of the project in the coming in France, relationship with the education and in the French administration, the extra university everyday life, the social integration, the project beyond the stay. The results of this research show that the Chinese sojourners students adapt themselves all the better since they have real strategies to react to new contexts. It was also confirmed that in their intercultural adaptation, the Chinese sojourners students practise a multidimensional convertible strategy
