Abstract:
Along with China’s economic and social development and scientific and technological progress, the innovative development of electric power technologies has effectively promoted the rapid development of the Chinese electric power industry. At the same time, it has also promoted the energy transformation and development and reform of electric power systems with clean, intelligent, market-oriented, and international trends. The authors review the extraordinary technological developments that have advanced electric power production and use. In 2015 China launched a new round of legal reform to keep pace with the technological innovations. Among the goals were speeding up the formation of a legal system for energy transformation to renewable energy to build a new type of green, low-carbon, safe, reliable, and sustainable electric power within a rule of law that encourages investments and market-driven development.
