Abstract:
The article is aimed at determining external and internal factors influencing the efficiency of logistic systems. The article analyzes the current scientific approaches to determining the essence of the efficiency of logistics activities as one of the most important activities of logistic systems. The efficiency of the logistic system is influenced by many internal and external factors that have their own features for each system. The author generalizes the factors of external and internal influence on the efficiency of logistic systems, taking into account their features. On the basis of the methods existing in the economic literature for analyzing the efficiency of logistic systems, the article provides a sequence of an assessment of efficiency. A classification of internal factors of influence on the efficiency of logistic systems is proposed. Internal factors influencing the efficiency of the logistic system are grouped according to the following characteristics: managers, informational, financial, integral and functional. Identification and grouping of internal factors influencing the efficiency of logistic systems makes it possible to conduct a systematic analysis in various areas of their activities. Taking into account the integrated approach to determining the efficiency of logistic systems, a methodology for calculating their efficiency by the effectiveness of various subsystems is proposed. Determination of internal indicators of influence on the efficiency of logistic systems allows more efficient management of the logistic system, analyze all internal logistic processes and carry out systematic control over the results of logistic systems

Abstract:
The article presents the theoretical and practical basis of BSC and KPI systems integration with a view to improve the efficiency of logistic strategy implementation at construction enterprises. It has been determined that an information logistic system of a construction company should be based on the system of complex performance indexes of logistic activity and it also should have a corresponding to them logistics information system that reflects the running state of logistic strategy implementation and enables to evaluate its efficiency. The exogenous variables, affecting the indicated efficiency, have also been presented in an entry. Based on the research findings, it has been concluded that the proposed guidepost indicators provide an opportunity to insure the process of logistic activity based on modern approaches and procedures in accordance with the chosen logistics strategy of the construction company.

A ship’s combat readiness is significantly dependent on the technical worthiness of basic ship equipment and mechanisms. Technical worthiness is determined by operation rates and depends on the condition of equipment. While using military equipment, one may expect the wear and tear of systems resulting from physical ageing, operation or combat damage. The restoration of ship’s technical efficiency is completed after returning to the harbour or during operations at sea. The tasks of restoring technical efficiency are performed in harbours and in naval bases by ashore elements of the repair system. During operations at sea a crew is able, to a limited extent, to carry out basic technical maintenance. The restoration of the technical worthiness and efficiency of ship equipment depends on appropriate logistic support.

Introduction. The logistics is one of the principal conditions of upgrading the efficiency and resultfulness of the functioning of agrarian enterprises. An efficient logistic system provides for rationalization of use of the resource basis of agrarian enterprises. The arrangement of an efficient management of the logistic system of agrarian enterprises requires explanation of its structural and functional components. Methods. The following methods of research have been used in the process of investigation: synthesis and analysis, scientific generalization, abstract and logics method, and method of systematization. Results. In the article the pre-requirements of efficient strategic management of the logistic system of agrarian enterprises are defined. Theoretical approaches concerning definition of the content of the notion “logistic system” are worked out. Structural and functional components of the logistic system of agrarian enterprises are clarified, among which there is the organization and management sub-system, the sub-system of supply, storing, production, transporting, distribution and sale, the apparatus of management of non-material flows, and the instruments of interaction with counteragents. The specific characteristics of the logistic system are identified, namely: openness, multi-functioning, emergency, adaptability structural and management organization. Discussion. Introduction. Modern education in the existing form is calling out for emergency reforms. Unfortunately, there’re no significant or important shifts now. The problem is that existing educational system is unable to do any significant reforms due to its discrepancy towards the modern world’s demands and level of development. The logistic management method as the instrument of resource management efficiency increasing was defined and processed by many domestic and foreign scientists. Considering the existing problems in the Ukraine’s educational system the resource management efficiency increasing and optimization of educational processes with the help of logistic methods of management are becoming vitally important and actual for the sake of the Ukraine’s educational system development. The purpose of this paper lies in the support of the logistic management method use in order to improve the resource management efficiency. Results. The education is one of the most important in terms of forming a progressive and developed society. Education management is a complex and multidimensional process which requires effective and innovative approaches in the country’s limited resources management. This topic is very actual for the modern education of Ukraine because of the existing problems which are the reasons of its non-competitiveness on the international scale. The authors of the paper considered the concepts of logistics flow, logistics center, logistics method and measures taken to improve the efficiency of resource management in education. Conclusion. The necessary method of study and resource distribution management during the study process is the logistic flow which bases on the principles and rules of the education logistics. A significant reduction of costs and optimization of the resource use can be witnessed during with this management method implementation. The logistic center as the logistic core of all material and immaterial flows will become the origin of efficient management and control systems.

The targets for research conducted in the article include the enterprises of the fishery industry, which is an integral part of the agro-industrial sector. The article considers the urgency of logistics development, the main problems of logistics systems of modern enterprises, and ways of effective management of logistical processes of sectoral organizations. It is stated that quality expense management of logistical processes can be the key to improving the efficiency of logistics in general. A mechanism for managing logistic costs is proposed, which is focused on performing certain stages in the process of setting up and implementing a system for managing the expenditure side in the company’s activities. The paper reveals the important characteristics of methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of logistics systems. Peculiarities of functioning of logistics systems of pharmacy networks are characterized. Based on the acquaintance with the scientific works of the founders on this issue, approaches to assessing the effectiveness of the logistics system are systematized. A system of evaluation indicators for each component of the logistics system is proposed. The logistics system of the business entity, and this fully applies to the logistics system of pharmacy networks, is not in a permanent state. Dynamic changes in the system are due to the influence of macro-environmental factors and changes in the internal nature, which pose the task of developing the system to ensure its adequacy to new conditions. It is the development of the system is the basis for improving the efficiency of its operation and the ability to achieve goals through the solution of a certain range of tasks. In such conditions, the study of the development of the logistics system of the pharmacy network deserves special attention. Existing approaches to assessing the development of the logistics system do not exclude, but complement each other, creating a methodological basis for the formation of effective management decisions on logistics management of the business entity. As a result of research of scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists on a problem of a choice and formation of indicators of an estimation of efficiency of logistic systems, we proposed a system of evaluation indicators for each component of the logistics system. In this case, in our opinion, such a system should include not only indicators that characterize the efficiency of the functional components of the logistics system of the pharmacy network (supply, production, transportation, warehousing, sales), but also indicators of efficiency subsystems, namely organizational and management, infrastructure and resource subsystems. This system approach will allow to take into account the impact of all components of the logistics system of the pharmacy network on the efficiency of its operation.

Мета роботи полягає у економічному обґрунтуванні напрямів організації ефективної логістичної діяльності ТОВ «Паралель – М, ЛТД». Для аналітичного дослідження та розробки пропозицій в роботі використані логічний метод, графічний метод, методи економіко-математичного моделювання, метод логічного узагальнення та порівняльний. В роботі запропонована оптимізація адміністративних витрат і цінових умов на закупку палива, що дозволить отримати щорічну економію логістичних витрат в сумі 567535 гривень, що становить 12,2 % від чистого доходу компанії. Аналітичні дослідження дозволили розробити рекомендації щодо доцільності використання запропонованих заходів на підприємстві ТОВ «Паралель – М, ЛТД» . Об’єкт дослідження – логістична діяльність підприємства. Предмет дослідження – сукупність теоретичних, методичних і практичних підходів до організації ефективної логістичної діяльності ТОВ «Паралель – М, ЛТД».
Thesis consists of introduction, 3 chapters, conclusions and recommendations, applications. The work is done in volume of 78 pages, contains 7 figures, 32 tables and 4 applications. The purpose of the work is to economically substantiate the directions of organization of effective logistic activity of LLC Parallel - M, LTD. For analytical research and development of proposals in the work logical method, graphical method, methods of economic-mathematical modeling, method of logical generalization and comparative method are used. The paper proposes optimization of administrative costs and price conditions for fuel purchases, which will allow to obtain annual savings in logistics costs in the amount of 567535 hryvnias, which is 12.2% of net income of the company. Analytical studies allowed to elaborate recommendations on the feasibility of using the proposed measures at the enterprise Paralel-M, LTD. The object of the research is the logistic activity of the enterprise. Sandvik Rock Tools is operating in a highly competitive market. This requires them to constantly improve the efficiency of their organization, in order for them to maintain their position as market leaders, both in a short-term and a long-term perspective. Sandvik Rock Tools is currently working on developing and further improving their supply chain. The supply chain is a key organizational function and improvements of the supply chain aim to yield benefits like lowered total costs and better utilized inventory levels. The purpose of our work has been to develop the supply chain between Sandvik’s in-market warehouse and their customer site at Dannemora. The main focus of this thesis has been to enable automatic data collection and to lower the stock levels at the customer site in Dannemora. This would be accomplished by improving the information flow between the two entities in the observed supply chain and by enabling real-time inventory information, easily accessible to the warehouse manager. A barcode system was implemented in the warehouse at the Dannemora customer site and was integrated with warehouse management software that was developed by the authors. The implemented barcode system and the warehouse management software were used at the Dannemora customer site for a period of two months. The effects of the implemented barcode system working in combination with the warehouse management software were observed in several operational areas after implementation, and the results were positive and beneficial. Firstly, the barcode system and warehouse management software simplified the warehouse manager’s decision process, by providing easy access to necessary warehouse management information, like realtime inventory information. Secondly, it made the day-to-day work routine of the warehouse manager easier, this being the case because the barcode system that had been implemented had digitalized and automated many tasks that had previously been performed manually by warehouse manager. An excellent example would be the simplified process for order placement and stocktaking. Thirdly, it improved the information flow between the Dannemora customer site and Sandvik’s in-market warehouse in Sandviken, thereby improving the overall effectiveness of the entire supply chain, through shared information. The barcode implementation successfully lowered inventory levels by six percent on average.

Дисертаційна робота присвячена розробці теоретичних та практичних положень управління логістичним потоком на газотранспортних підприємствах. На основі проведеного дослідження розроблено модель логістичної стратегії діяльності газотранспортного підприємства, що забезпечує контроль за використанням газу на етапах постачання, споживання та зберігання в підземних газосховищах при мінімальних витратах. Проведено аналіз логістичних функцій в газотранспортній галузі та розроблено принципи функціонування логістичних систем для розробки ефективної логістичної стратегії газотранспортного підприємства. Розглянуто оптимізаційні моделі управління запасами, на основі яких визначено напрямки та критерії ефективного функціонування логістичної системи. Розроблено моделі прогнозування з врахуванням сезонного характеру функціонування підприємства, що дозволило спрогнозувати величини відбирання обсягів газу з підземних сховищ газу. Запропоновано алгоритм вибору логістичної стратегії газотранспортного підприємства, що передбачає визначення основних взаємозалежностей між результатами управління його логістичними потоками і витратами на їх досягнення.
Диссертационная работа посвящена разработке теоретических и практических положений управления логистическим потоком на газотранспортных предприятиях. На основе проведенного исследования разработана модель логистической стратегии деятельности газотранспортного предприятия, которое обеспечивает оптимальное использование газа на этапах снабжения, потребления и хранения в подземных газоубежищах при минимальных расходах. Для разработки эффективной логистической стратегии газотранспортного предприятия проведен анализ логистических функций в газотранспортной отрасли и разработаны принципы функционирования логистических систем В результате применения методических аспектов управления запасами в логистической системе разработана модель процесса закачивания и отбирания газа из ПСГ, практическая реализация которой позволяет обеспечить контроль за бесперебойностью снабжения газа, максимальным закачиванием газа в подземные газохранилеща с целью обеспечения рентабельной работы газотранспортной системы на полную мощность и минимальный риск предприятия. Рассмотрены оптимизационные модели управления запасами, на основе которых определенно направления и критерии эффективного функционирования логистической системы. Прогнозные оценки развития процесса управления логистическими потоками на газотранспортных предприятиях являются основой принятия управленческих решений при оперативном, тактическом и стратегическом планировании и занимают главную позицию в структуре заданий логистической стратегии. Поэтому, учитывая сезонное потребление газа, в работе использованы прогнозные адитивну и мультипликативные модели, модель Винтерса та модель на основе анализа Фур’е с учетом сезонной компоненты, которые позволили спрогнозировать величины отбирания объемов газа из ПСГ. Разработана модель логистической стратегии управления материальным потоком в газотранспортной системе, дает возможность обеспечить интегрированную взаимосвязь системы планирования внутренней потребности в газовых ресурсах, системы управления запасами товарных ресурсов, системы управления закупкой товарных ресурсов, информационной системы. Кроме того, такая модель предусматривает комплексный подход к управлению логистическим потоком, учитывает динамический баланс внутреннего потенциала предприятия и состояние экономических отношений в отрасли и дает возможность облегчить процесс определения целей предприятия, которое заключается в разработке качественных и количественных показателей, которые являются основными критериями оценки предложенного для их достижения логистического подхода. Внедрение предложенной модели логистической стратегии функционирования предприятия позволит оптимизировать выполнение управленческих функций на всех стадиях экономического процесса, связанных с основным видом деятельности предприятия, - комплексным управлением газовыми потоками, которое обеспечивает контроль за использованием газа на этапах снабжения, потребления и хранения в подземных газоубежищах.
The dissertation work is devoted to the development of theoretical and practical positions of management of a logistic stream on the gas-transport enterprises. On the basis of the conducted research the model of the logistic strategy of activity of the is developed gas-transport enterprise, which provides control after the use of gas on the stages of supply, consumption and storage in the underground gas-shelters at minimum charges. The analysis of the logistic functions is conducted in gas-transport industry and the principles of functioning of the logistic systems are developed for the development of fhe effective logistic strategy of the gas-transport enterprise. The optimization frames of the case supplies have been studied on the basis of which the directions and criteria of the effective functioning of the logistic system have been determined. The models of prognostication including the seasonal character of functioning of the enterprise are developed which allowed to prognosticate the quantity of the amount of gas extraction from the dug-outs of gas. The algorithm of choice of logistic strategy of gas-transport enterprise has been offered which foresees the determination of basic correlations between the results of management of its logistic streams and charges on their achievement supply.

Abstract:
Purpose: In this study, areas of use of blockchain technology in transportation management will be discussed. The purpose is to contribute with theoretical research of advantages and disadvantages of blockchain technology in transportation management before an implementation at Rhenus Logistics.   Methodology: Through interviews and literature, ways of using blockchain in transportation management is researched. A case study is set up, to further analyze the research topic from the view of an individual third-party logistic company.  Findings: Results showed that for a third-party logistic provider to successfully use blockchain technology within transportation management, it is important to have the entire network onboard in the process. If so, functionalities such as track and trace, digital handling of paperwork and smart contracts could be used. The advantages of using blockchain technology for transportation management at Rhenus Logistics were found to be trust, transparency, traceability, efficiency, cost-saving opportunities and the use of smart contacts. Identified disadvantages for Rhenus Logistics was that blockchain is costly, stakeholders are hesitant to get involved, smart contracts are not considerate of blurry lines in real life practice and there is a challenge in finding an accurate blockchain design for their business model.

Pappersbruket Fiskeby Board som är placerat i Norrköping tillverkar kartong av 100% returfibrer. Bruket har tillverkat papper i flera århundranden och är en av Europas äldsta tillverkare av papper och kartong. På pappersbruket finns ett underhålls- och reservdelslager som bistår med artiklar till hela företaget. Målet med studien är att ta fram förslag till hur förrådshanteringsprocessen kan förbättras för att göra den mer effektiv. Studien resulterade i 25 stycken förbättringsförslag, dessa förslag delades upp i två delar, de förbättringsförslag som kunde implementeras direkt och de som behövde vidare undersökningar. Vissa förslag täcker flera möjligheter och problem och andra förslag täcker bara ett. Lika så kan ett problem ha flera möjliga förbättringsförslag för att lösa dem. Även förbättringar i from av nya instruktioner där hela aktiviteter är inkluderade har föreslagits.

Introduction: Improving efficiency through the supply chain has long been strived for by management. Traditional approaches focus on improving efficiency in the supply chain through optimization of a company’s internal activities, where warehouses play an important role. Companies are therefore dealing with the dilemma of how to increase efficiency in their warehouse, yet at the same time reduce operational costs. Current research focuses on strategies to increase efficiency in conventional warehouses by studying design, operations, and planning. Digitalization and lean warehousing are also emerging as important tools for warehouse efficiency. However, alternative warehouse types exist that are less researched. The research aimed therefore to investigate the challenges warehouses with stock point design face.   Methods: A qualitative and deductive case study approach was chosen. A literature review was first conducted to find the variables defining warehouse efficiency. Interviews and observations were then performed at the case company to investigate how the variables affect efficiency at the case company. Lastly, the theoretical framework was compared to the findings to find strategies to overcome the challenges.  Findings: Efficiency problems can be found in many aspects of the case company´s warehouse. Over time the warehouse has lost its structure, where a lot of reliability for warehouse procedures are placed on the employees and their knowledge about the company and all parts. Because of missing routines for reviewing parts data, changes in generations and parts being revised, are hard to keep track of which causes an effect on efficiency. It also increases the risk of deadstock.  Conclusions: In previous research, few studies could be found where researchers tackle the problems that multiple storage building causes on efficiency. By concluding that seven key variables define warehouse efficiency from previous research and applying them to a warehouse with stock point design, the challenges that an alternative warehouse face through the important variables in warehouse efficiency research could be explained.  All the variables affect efficiency, yet warehouse design has the biggest impact. Because of limited abilities with hand scanners and missing routines for reviewing parts data, operations, movement, and planning can also be concluded to have a high influence on efficiency.  To overcome the challenges, strategies for class-based storage assignment should be applied from the perspective of the storage building limitations. Right conditions for batching and good routines for warehouse procedures and reviewing parts data are also suggested as strategies.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka plockningsprocessen hos DSV Solutions i Norrköping och ta fram rekommendationer hur om hur plockningsprocessen kan tidseffektiveras. För att undersöka plockningsprocessen används observationer, tidsstudie, intervju och en workshop. Eftersom det finns effektiviseringspotential i plockningsprocessen är det viktigt att identifiera vilka aktiviteter som är värdeskapande och icke-värdeskapande. Om de icke-värdeskapande aktiviteterna kan minskas och lämna större plats åt de aktiviteter som skapar ett värde kan plockningsprocessen bli effektivare. Resultaten från tidsstudien indikerar på att en stor del av den tid som läggs på att plocka en order går åt till att utföra de icke-värdeskapande aktiviteterna "Transport" och "Övrig plockning". Transporten står för nästan 30 % och den övriga plockningen för cirka 15 % av den totala tiden för en order. Dessa aktiviteter bör tidsreduceras eftersom de inte tillför något värde till tjänsten som DSV erbjuder. De förbättringsförslag som läggs fram i denna studie är att DSV bör förändra plockslingan. Plockslingan bör bli mer sammanhängande och tunga produkter borde placeras tidigt plockslingan.

Lager har en betydelsefull roll i många försörjningskedjor. Att driva ett lager medför stora kostnader och företag strävar därför efter att ha en så effektiv lagerhållning som möjligt. Ett sätt att förbättra sin lagerhållning är att klassificera sina artiklar och placera dem utefter denna klassificering. Effekter företag kan få ut av en fördelaktig artikelplacering är, exempelvis reducering av orderplockningens tid vilket leder till ett effektivare orderplockning. Orderplockning är en av de viktigaste aktiviteterna i ett lager, eftersom den kräver mycket resurser i form av personal och tid. Syftet med studien är att genom artikelklassificeringar föreslå en artikelplacering och strukturera Autoexpertens lager med avsikt att effektivisera orderplockning. För att beskriva den nuvarande artikelplaceringen har en litteraturstudie genomförts och kompletterats med observationer samt intervjuer. Författarna har samlat in historisk data som i sin tur legat till grund för ABC-analyserna. Artikelgruppernas uttagsfrekvens samt vikt valdes som kriterier vid genomförandet av ABC-analysen, då dessa ansågs ha störst påverkan på orderplockningen. Utförandet av den dubbla ABC-analysen, med uttagseffektens %26 vikt som kriterier, blev sedan den ABC-analys som låg till grund för den föreslagna artikelplaceringen. Att uttagsfrekvens och vikt valdes som kriterier för ABC-analysen korrelerar med att dessa två kriterier har en stor påverkan på orderplockningen. Artikelgrupperna har med hänsyn till denna ABC-analys placerats efter uttagsfrekvens %26 vikt i fallande ordning i närhet till upplagsplatsen för att möjliggöra en högre plockeffektivitet. Vid upplagsplatsen påbörjas och avslutas plockprocesserna hos Autoexperten och utgör anledningen till att artiklar placerats i fallande ordning i närhet till den. Utöver utförandet av den dubbla ABC-analysen har två artikelplaceringar utförts på artikelnivå. Från dessa artikelplaceringar har kvantitativa mått på lagerpersonalens förflyttningar tagits fram och presenterats.

The monograph is devoted to the methodology of material and technical support of railway transport. According to the types of activities, the nature of the material and technical resources used, technologies, means and management systems, Russian railways belong to the category of high-tech industries that must have high quality and technical level, reliability and technological efficiency in operation. For this reason, the logistics system itself, both in structure and in the algorithm of the functions performed as a whole, needs a serious improvement in the quality of its work. The economic situation in Russia requires a revision of the principles and mechanisms of management based on the corporate model of supply chain management, focused on logistics knowledge. In the difficult economic conditions of the current decade, it is necessary to improve the quality of the supply organization of enterprises and structural divisions of railway transport, directly related to the implementation of the process approach, the advantage of which is a more detailed regulation of management actions and their mutual coordination. In order to increase the efficiency of its activities and develop the management system, Russian Railways is developing a lean production system aimed at further expanding the implementation of the principles of customer orientation, ideology and corporate culture. At the present time, the solution of many issues is impossible without a cybernetic approach to the formulation of problems of material and technical support and logistics analysis of information technologies, to the implementation of the developed algorithms and models of development strategies and concepts for improving the business processes of the production system. The management strategy, or the general plan for the implementation of activities for the management of material resources, is based on a fundamental assessment of the alignment and correlation of forces and factors operating in the economic and political field, taking into account the impact on the specific form of the management strategy. The materials will be useful to the heads and specialists of the directorates of the MTO, CDZs and can be used in the scientific research of bachelors, masters and postgraduates interested in the economics of railway transport and supply logistics.

Profitable logistics complex system is an important factor for stable growth in economics of the state. Efficient management is the key to success, especially in logistic sector. To achieve great success in logistics it is decisive to understand and analyse all factors which influence on development of current sector. The aim of the present study was to review scientific literature about the factors affecting development of logistics centre. Furthermore, the sustainability construction qualitative analysis method was employed as basis to conduct the research. Based on the literature, authors defined different factors influencing on the development of logistics centre and conducted groups of factors. Using qualitative analysis, the author developed main factors and elaborated definitions for each factor to provide information about included sub-factors. Service level was indicated as one of the important categories. It shows level of clients’ satisfaction with service given by the logistic centres. Finally, all factors were ranged by importance, to show gradation and influence on development.

This paper is part of the AEROFLEX project – AEROdynamic and FLEXible Trucks for Next Generation of Long Distance Road Transport. Aim of the project is to develop and demonstrate new technologies, concepts and architectures for complete vehicles, while ensuring that the varying needs of customers are satisfied with respect to the continuously changing operation conditions. These technologies comprise of distributed hybrid powertrains (e.g. electric dolly and/or trailers), advanced vehicle aerodynamics (e.g. active roof and ride height adjustment, gap reducer, side skirts, boat tail, etc.), and smart loading units (e.g. double load floor trailers supported by cargo loading optimization software, multi-modality trailers and horizontal collaboration). The main target of the project is to show that it is possible to improve the efficiency of logistic operations with 18-33%. One of the main challenges of the project is the assessment of the efficiency of the different (combinations of) innovations in real-world applications in a limited timeframe. In order to do so, an innovative assessment approach is used which combines on-road tests of vehicle combinations on public roads with (partial) simulations in different simulation and calculations models. The current paper will focus on the assessment framework that links the on-road tests with logistic use-cases and the Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL) testing approach as a means to test physical vehicles in a simulated environment. The assessment method enables full simulation of a vehicle of which only the origin, destination and vehicle specifications are known. It contains of a route profile generator to obtain the route (including speed limit and elevation profile) from origin and destination. This is followed by a mission profile generator to determine the vehicle’s speed over the route. The vehicle model, which contains the different technologies of interest, consequently provides the energy consumption and fuel consumption. The VIL test method allows for measured quantification of fuel consumption and emissions for these real missions, while being fully flexible in vehicle type and set of innovations of interest. The VIL testing approach is developed to evaluate vehicle performance of a truck connected to a transient dynamometer in a climatic altitude test chamber. The truck is driving a real-world route while it is virtually heavier and longer and equipped with for instance an electric dolly. Additionally, the VIL test approach is used for functional testing of the powertrain energy management system between truck and electric trailers. A unique factor in the final technical assessment, is the use of so-called customer use cases. Over 50 companies in the logistics sector are interviewed about their day-to-day business and from these interviews a set of use-cases is gathered that contain a wide variety in logistic concepts, length of routes, multi-modality, road elevation and more. Connecting these real-world driving missions to the unique test facility, the vehicle performance can be evaluated under controlled environmental circumstances while different combinations of technologies can be applied in a systematic, flexible and generic manner.
