Abstract:

Abstract:
The issue of education, especially nowadays, raises many questions regarding its role in school, at home, in society as well as the ability of the educational process to keep up with the unprecedented changes in society, in human life in general. The leap of scientific knowledge has caused an unprecedented evolution of technology, which has entered human life with the aim of improving important aspects, but we also see its negative impact in many ways. The values of the past seem to be somehow overtaken by the new social challenges! Time has become a precious gift; modern man no longer has enough time either for himself or for those close to him. Everything happens at a pace that affects human life as a whole, disrupting family and social relationships. All this is reflected in the man's ability to adapt to new challenges, and thus education that equips the individual with those capabilities that make him able to face these unprecedented challenges is necessary. The emotional and somatic impact is mainly reflected in mental health. That is why the school and the educational system have the role of paying more attention to the field of mental health, raising awareness of the dangers that can lead to the installation of mental imbalance, prevention being the prophylactic basis. In our study, we will emphasize the importance of studying the field outside specialized schools, identifying certain deficiencies in education regarding mental health, as well as some important directions to be followed.

Abstract:
An increase in the number of privately-owned higher education institutions (HEIs) in South Africa has created greater competition among private and public HEIs since all are competing for the same pool of potential students. Thus, marketers of HEIs have begun to realize the importance of placing a renewed focus on their students’ (customers’) needs. This study aimed to establish whether students perceive themselves as customers of HEIs, as well as the extent to which they perceive the attitude of academic and administrative staff toward them as being customer-focused. A total of 411 online questionnaires were administered to students at select private and public HEIs in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were conducted on the survey data using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences. As a result, the majority of students perceived themselves as customers of the HEI. Furthermore, students’ perception of the attitude of academic and administrative staff toward them reinforced the view that they are indeed customers of their HEI. Thus, by working with the academics and administrators, HEIs should consistently identify and satisfy the service needs of students.

Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper focuses on factors that influence the appropriateness of entrepreneurship studies to the needs and expectations of management students in Israel, where entrepreneurs are considered cultural heroes. The results of the authors' research revealed great interest in entrepreneurship studies among most of the students surveyed. However, differences were found between those students who intended to start a business and those who did not – in their business-related background, entrepreneurial traits and their business needs and expectations from entrepreneurship studies. These results highlight the disparity between the supply and the expectations from entrepreneurship programmes in universities, and as such have important implications for entrepreneurship education.

Abstract:
The study describes changes that are noted in students during training and which contribute to define a professional profile. We carried out a descriptive-exploratory study with a qualitative approach, based on dialectics as a theoretical-methodological framework. The data was obtained from documented analysis and through focal groups with teachers, students and service nurses. The results show the student's position as an active subject in the teaching-learning process, through a movement of transformation of academic structures. A correlation was found between the movement that seeks students' greater political, active and critical participation as a way of determining and guiding the profile of the generalist nurse and greater social insertion. We conclude that, despite efforts, training guidelines and the definition of the professional profile in the study settings is directed at the demands of the labor market, and that competency-based training is still incipient.

Abstract:
This study intends to examine three elements: first, how students care about the environment; second, the function of geography education in creating environmental awareness in students; and third, how sociocultural, psychological, and demographic factors affect students' spiritual intelligence. A sample of 79 students from SMP YPI “45” Bekasi participated in this survey. Through the use of questionnaires, data collection procedures were used, and SPSS software was used to analyze the results. Students' assessment of the geography instructor's ability to integrate current environmental issues into their lessons, as well as the student's socio-economic origins and involvement in environmental groups, all have an impact on the student's environmental caring character. An area of interest of study is how socio-economic and cultural features and Demographics affect the ecoliteracy of students and how geography education contributes to the development of their ecoliteracy as a result.

Abstract:
The rich body of literature examining the entrepreneurship education-entrepreneurship intention relations tends to neglect the influence of contingent and other mediating factors on the relationship. This elusion creates an erroneous assumption that entrepreneurship intentions are insulated from external influences and the entrepreneurship education-intentions relationship is an automatic, directly linear interaction. Contesting this premise, this research explores the influence of exposure to entrepreneurship education (EE), mediated by precursors (such as attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control) to entrepreneurial intentions on the actual entrepreneurship intentions (EI) of vocational education students at a particular institution in Zimbabwe. Drawing on a cross-sectional research design and 154 randomly selected students, the study examines the extent to which they intended to engage in entrepreneurship careers in the near future. A non-parametric technique, the Spearman correlation test, and regression analysis were employed to test the relationships between EE on the direct determinants of EI, between the immediate determinants of EI and actual EI and to test a number of predictive effects. The results demonstrate that EE had a positive correlation with the direct determinants of EI. In addition, EE predicted all the immediate determinants of EI, except for subjective norms. Lastly, there was no evidence to support a direct predictive effect of EE on EI, controlling for other psychological factors. To a large extent, the results validated the Theory of Planned Behavior as a guiding tool for estimating any premeditated entrepreneurial behavior. Thus, the Theory remains an invaluable theoretical lens for academics, educators and policymakers’ evaluation of effective ways of enhancing the grooming of potential entrepreneurs.

Abstract:
Policy and legislative frameworks in South Africa mandate inclusive education that, given the contextual realities of classrooms, requires teachers to be responsive to diversity. There is, however, an identified gap between policy ideals and enactment that is exacerbated by a lack of conceptual clarity regarding the nature of inclusive education and practice that is still viewed by many as being limited to considerations of special needs rather than broader considerations of diversity as well. Initial Teacher Education (ITE) has a role to play in challenging and disrupting teacher thinking to support conceptualisations of inclusive education that position teachers' responsiveness to diversity. We used the Inclusive Pedagogical Approach in Action (IPAA) Framework (Florian & Spratt, 2013) since it focuses on inclusive pedagogy as a way of thinking about and practising inclusion to support the learning of all. We conducted the qualitative research at a public urban university in Johannesburg, South Africa with 200 third-year preservice teachers. We analysed the data by considering preservice teachers' reflections on adapting content knowledge, their thinking about learner needs, and their selection of teaching and learning strategies. Findings indicate that preservice teachers were engaging with the theoretical foundations of inclusive education; they demonstrated awareness about issues of diversity but struggled to establish learners' diverse needs and how to address these in practice. This study suggests that preservice teachers' conceptualisations of inclusive education must be given consideration and that they require robust training on how to enact inclusive pedagogy. We recommend continued support for preservice teachers in building their capacity to enhance responsiveness in inclusive practice through ITE programmes and further research.
