Abstract:
AbstractWhen looking at the increase of tourism in a destination, it can be said that tourism is a valuable part of the economy. The proposal offered by today’s competitive paradigm: that higher the number of tourists visiting a city, the higher the income, sounds good at first. The increased number of tourist arrivals gives the appearance of increasing desirability of the city. Parallel with the increased tourism activities, new buildings, new lifestyles, foreign capital and new socio-economic relationships appear rapidly and replace the traditional ones. However, there will be a huge amount of social, cultural, economic and environmental problems faced by the local people as well as the tourists the city. Tourism paradox is the name given to the phenomenon where tourism industry destroys natural and cultural environment in a destination that is necessary for tourism activities. On the other hand the balance, which does not change and disturbs the social and economic relations at the destination is called “tourism equinox”. Therefore, spatial reorganization and urban regeneration play a crucial role for the marketing of cities and this transformation action affects all infrastructure facilities, restorations of old buildings, reorganization of historical zones, and revitalizing the architectural style of the cities. New projects and approaches to solve the problems caused by the growth of urban populations and to establish healthy sustainable tourism destinations are becoming more important than ever. Tourism detox is a treatment that is intended to remove harmful substances from these destinations. This paper investigates the influence of tourism paradox and tourism equinox on urban environments in relation to tourism activities and the protection of natural and cultural resources with the help of tourism detox. It primarily relies on qualitative research to understand the main futures of tourism paradox, equinox and detox taking the physical and environmental aspects of urban environments into consideration. As research methodology a literature review and the sources of secondary data were used.

Abstract:
Disaster is one of the main threats to tourism around the world. There are various kinds of disasters, ranging from terrorist attacks; social, cultural and political issues; disease outbreaks, and natural phenomena (floods, landslides, tsunamis, earthquakes and storms). One of the disasters being experienced by all tourism managers in West Sumatera is earthquakes. Disasters can occur and threaten the sustainability of a tourist attraction. The threat of disaster has an impact on tourist visits, so an effort is needed to prepare tourism managers to deal with it. The tourism industry is an economic activity that is highly dependent on image, when a tourist attraction fails to face a disaster, tourists are reluctant to visit the place. The methods used are interviews, observations, and literature studies that can help answer research questions. The key informants in this study were members of the tourism management in West Sumatra Province. The results showed that each tourist destination has a different threat of disaster from other areas, so the response required by the manager is also different. In the case of the earthquake, the response to the disaster cannot be overcome by all tourist destination managers, all experiencing the same conditions. Developed and developing tourist destinations need the same amount of time to deal with this disaster. The recommendation of this study is the importance of understanding disaster response by all tourist destination managers, so that the required recovery period is not too long, and tourism can return to its normal operation.

Abstract:
Abstract Tourism has been a determining factor in the economic growth of Hungary recently and it will continue to have a significant role in the future development of the country. Although Hungary has great potentials in tourism sector, it is concentrated only on a few places of the country at present, especially in the capital, Budapest. While tourism has about 10% share in the national GDP production, most of it is generated in the capital. In addition, to the center of the country, there are only a few places that are really known by foreign tourists and thus are able to attract crowds. Such places are Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Europe; and the city of Debrecen, the second largest city in the country, with its surroundings and several thermal baths. The aim of our paper is to analyze the tendencies of Hungarian tourism, focusing on the festivals, and to follow the changes of the tourism strategies, as well as the direct and indirect effects of the development of the tourism industry on the economic growth of the country. In order to prepare our study, we have collected information on tourism from the Central Statistical Office, from the organizers of the different festivals throughout the country and from the National Tourism Office. Based on our research, we intend to draw consequences on the sector and define recommendations for further developments, because we believe that festivals can be the solution for the sustainable economic and social development of several rural areas, providing income for a huge part of population in the countryside.

The article uses a descriptive and qualitative analysis method that allowed to identify the role of the gmina in the tourism system in Poland. The analysis includes literature in the field of economic sciences, based additionally on legal acts related to the discussed issue. As an institution of the tourism system, the gmina has the task of satisfying the needs of the local community and stimulating local development, thanks to which it plays an important role in shaping the local tourism policy. The gmina has a wide range of activities on the local tourist economy. It should be emphasized that this is not an individual task of the gmina, although there is no doubt that it has a wide range of opportunities to influence this sphere of social and economic life. Tourism policy should be undertaken and implemented in cooperation with private sector entities conducting tourist activity, but also entities from outside the tourism industry (so-called paratourism entities) and their organizations and associations. Tourism policy should also be implemented together with other local government units, the area of which is covered by an initiative in the field of tourism development, including also higher-level entities (such as poviats and voivodships), as well as with local and regional tourist organizations and other non-governmental organizations.

This study proposes an asymmetric panel causality test to analyze the relationship between tourist arrivals and economic growth. To this end, annual data over the period 1995–2017 are examined for the G10 countries. The findings demonstrate that the relationship between tourism and economic growth varies according to positive and negative shocks. In terms of positive shocks, tourism development causes economic growth. The study also finds a bidirectional causality relationship between the negative shocks of the variables. Therefore, positive developments in tourism contribute to economic growth, while negative events in tourism impede growth. In sum, tourism is strongly linked to economic activities in G10 countries, and thus policymakers should attach importance to the tourism sector in order to support sustainable development.

Abstract:
An image on tourism industry products gives potential traveller an important sense of emotional security. They can establish harmonious relationship between themselves and the outside world. National image is a long term investment and should be considered every time a decision is made at high or low levels of management. Marketers of the tourism product should not underestimate the value of a national image and its effect upon tourist behaviour. The steady growth in the world tourism market has earmarked its importance globally. Inevitably such tourism activities have an impact on wider economies, in both the developed and the developing world. Realizing the fact and importance of tourism, there is growing awareness worldwide. However, there is still relatively little appreciation of the specific operating characteristics of tourism firms, and especially of tourism entrepreneurship within developing countries. The development of national tourism policies, long-term tourism master plans, and tourism marketing strategies clearly highlights the significance that governments all over the world are attached and giving utmost priority to the industry. It is equally important to understand that the reliance on international tourism as a strategy for economic development might be precarious for the country. This is justified by the fact that it is so often associated with a dependency upon external sources of growth. This type of situation will be observed by those countries, which will be having their internal political conflicts, or in other socio-political tribulations. Therefore, such external sources at that time tend to be fickle in nature. Tourism being very sensitive and psycho graphic industry, choices of tourist destinations is susceptible to large fluctuations, particularly because of economic conditions in the tourist’s country of origin or the political situation in the holiday destination. Likewise, there also exist significant socio-economic and geographical dimensions of tourism dependency. The growth of the tourist industry and its potential for stimulating economic development through service sectors has contrived an important point in much of the literature on tourism. South Asian Sub-regional countries are considering tourism as an important industry for their livelihood. Different concepts and different philosophies on tourism are gaining wider recognition in this sub-region. That is why, research and studies going on widely into these areas. However, regardless of considerable dispute on the subject there is still little conformity as to tourism’s role in economic development where the governments will be having many more other socio-economic obligations. In such countries, the overall picture of tourism’s role is found to be somewhat blurred with some challenges, not only by the different assessments of economic development, but also by its socio-cultural and environmental implications as well. The Gaze: Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Vol.6 2014 pp.70-97

Abstract:
However, with all the prerequisites for the development of tourism, Ukraine did not pay due attention to the development of this sector of economy. Due to this situation, the problem of increasing the tourist attractiveness of the territory remains urgent. Having an important potential of natural resources, historical and cultural monuments, considering the great importance of the tourism industry, it has been declared one of the priority directions of development of the national economy at the state level in Ukraine. Among Ukrainian scientists, the development of tourist infrastructure was studied by A. A. Beidik, M. P. Malskaya, A. T. Makarov, F. Kifiak, A. A. Lubitseva, S. P. Kuzyk, I. M. School. Certain infrastructure elements of the tourist and recreational complex of the Kiev region are analyzed in the works of L. M. Volovik, V. L. Glibovets, A. M. Poltavets, S. V. Rogovsky, etc. Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky district is a territory of historical land, which is located in the eastern part of the Kiev region. It played a great importance in the processes of formation of Ukrainian nationality and state. This land was a source of inspiration for Taras Shevchenko himself and other outstanding heroes of Ukraine. It is over-saturated with both sad and joyful big events. Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky district, without exaggeration, can be called a unique place on the map of our country. The purpose of the study is to assess tourist resources and develop the tourist infrastructure of Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky district, to determine its role in creating the basis for the economic growth of the district as a whole and to improve the tourism sector in particular. The study of this problem is based on general scientific methods of knowledge of economic phenomena and processes (analysis and synthesis, system approach, dialectical method, etc.). It was revealed the conditions of formation and the current state of formation of tourist infrastructure in Kyiv region, in particular in Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky district. It was made the comparison of the state of its components (communication network, accommodation establishments, and mass catering establishments). Without exaggeration, Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky district can be called a unique place on the map of our country. Today, there are 51 settlements, 15 objects of nature reserve fund of Ukraine, among which is a park-monument of landscape art of a national importance «Tashanskyi» and National natural park «Biloozerskyi», and there are more than 10 large and small rivers and hundreds of potential tourist sites that need to be preserved, promoted and attracted by tourists. It was highlighted the key advantages inherent in the tourism infrastructure of Kyiv region. The value of material and technical base and tourism infrastructure has been established as a determining factor for increasing the tourist attractiveness of Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky district. The main reasons for hindering the development of the tourist services market in Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky district are: the imperfection of the system of state regulation of tourist activity; the low level of investments in the development of the material base of tourism; the inconsistency of tourist establishments with international standards; the insufficient provision of the tourism industry by qualified specialists; the extremely unsatisfactory condition of transport infrastructure; the low awareness of potential consumers of the tourism product. It was highlighted the main problems in the formation and promotion of tourism products of the district, as well as the problems of development of existing tourism potential, which is certainly one of the richest in Ukraine. It was offered the directions of development of tourist infrastructure market in Pereiaslav-Khmelnitsky district and activation of using of tourist potential in the area.

Abstract:
Tourism is a complex, highly profitable cross-industry complex and is one of the main sectors of the world economy. It is recognized as one of the most effective tools for supporting and stimulating the development of local, regional and national economies in many countries of the world. Often, tourism proved to be a lever in different countries, the use of which made it possible to improve the entire national economy of the country. In many countries, tourism plays a significant role in shaping the gross domestic product, creating additional jobs and employment, and activating the foreign trade balance. Tourism has a huge impact on such key sectors of the economy as transport and communications, construction, agriculture, production of consumer goods, and others, i.e. it acts as a kind of catalyst for social and economic development. The experience of foreign countries shows that it is possible to achieve competitiveness in the world tourism market by developing new forms of economic integration between the state, tourism business and the country’s population. Therefore, the formation and creation of favorable conditions for the effective functioning of tourist clusters is one of the priorities of the state tourism policy of Kazakhstan.

Abstract:
This paper considers the significant changes that have occurred in the tourist space of the Altai-Sayan mountainous region. In fact, it is a cross-border area and an important tourist region in the Russian Federation. It should be mentioned that the structure of the tourist space can be studied properly while using the model of the territorial tourist system. The authors examine the common features of tourism systems in the mountainous environments of the region. The study examines the tourist infrastructure, organizers of tourist services, local people’s attitudes and tourists’ preferences in the tourist industry. Studies in the field of tourist space enable to distinguish the types of tourism and their distribution in the Altai-Sayan region. It is worthwhile noting that health tourism has become one of the fastest growing subfields in the tourist industry of this region. The tourist development projects such as the economic zone of “Turquoise Katun” and shore development projects of warm lakes have also encouraged this process. Moreover, ecotourism development is of great importance to this area because there are many protected natural areas and some of them are under UNESCO protection. Also, tourism development outlooks are associated with cross-border cooperation and sustainable economic development of the region.

The tourism industry has an important role to improve economic and community welfare. In several regions, the industry boosts the regional economy as the main income source. Realizing this, the government has been currently trying to develop tourism potentials in their respective areas. North Sulawesi is one of the priorities for developing tourist destinations by the central government, and one of the tourist objects is Likupang. By setting Likupang as one of the priorities for developing tourist destinations, it will afford opportunities for the City of Manado to increase revenue from the tourism sector. Thus, a tourism management policy is needed to harmonize environmental, socio-cultural, and economic aspects. Manado City tourism management policy is assessed with The Exponential Comparison Method (MPE) by looking at the degree of importance based on experts’ opinions. Overall policy assessment refers to four aspects, namely environmental, socio-cultural, economic, and political aspects. Based on the weighting results, the availability of employment has the highest value. Meanwhile, for the assessment of alternative policies, the first integrated management policy between the main tourist objects around has the highest value.

Abstract Tourism is one of the growing service sectors in Greece. In 2014, the direct and indirect contribution of the Greek tourism industry to total GDP and employment reached 17.3% and 19.2%, respectively (WTTC, 2015). As the economic importance of the tourism industry is growing among the policymakers and researchers, the objective of this paper is to analyse the contribution of tourism to Greek’s economic growth. We use a trivariate model of real gross domestic product (GDP), international tourist expenditure and a real effective exchange rate, to calculate a tourism multiplier in order to assess the contribution of tourism to the economic growth. Using quarterly data for Greece during the period 2000q1 to 2013q2, we estimated results as a tourism multiplier of 1.21. We also estimated that the tourism industry generated an increase of 1.0% in the Greek GDP for the year 2013.

Abstract:
This article deals with the development of scientific research in the field of tourism economy. It dwells on the concept of tourism economy as a science which studies the system of economic relations in the sphere of production, distribution and consumption of tourist services. Research into tourism economy was triggered by the rapid development of tourism in the second half of the twentieth century. An active collection of statistical data on tourism also contributed to the development of tourism economy. The first to attract scientific attention were the issues concerning the impact of tourism on the economy at both global and national levels. Another research-relevant point concerns the concept of tourist multiplier that allows assessment not only of direct but also of indirect tourism influence. The authors claim that the multiplier-effect is conventionally assessed according to input-output models. The new paradigm of research into the economic results of tourism activity is based on the general equilibrium models. The article considers the subject content of one of the first foreign journals on tourism economy, Tourism Economics, as well as the activities of the International Association for Tourism Economics (International Association for Tourism Economics — IATE). The authors point out that intensive research is conducted concerning effective demand and effective demand forecasting, with the research results effectively used in tourism policy making. The authors analyse the lines of foreign and Russian scientific economic research in the sphere of tourism, and conclude that the issues of market grouping and development, as well as price formation are central to scientific research. The authors also propose that one of the highly promising lines of research is an analysis of the impact of information and communication technologies (ICT) on the development of the tourist market and the tourism economy. The authors emphasise the importance of measuring the performance in the tourism sector, noting, however, that tourism performance indices are insufficiently studied. Competitiveness in tourism is seen by the authors as one of the major areas of economic research, and the article provides information on the index of competitiveness of travel and tourism in different countries (Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index — TTCI) in recent years. The article describes the most poorly explored cross-disciplinary directions of tourism economy, in particular, those viewed from a psychological, social, sociological and other perspectives. Among the most pressing research problems, as identified by the authors, are the influence of financial and economic crises on tourism, research and prevention of risks in tourism, as well as the impact that the problems of experience economy and participation economy, crisis management in the tourism sector, the impact of globalization, mergers and acquisitions, have on tourism development in the framework of global and national economies.

Abstract:
The work emphasizes the importance of measuring the tourist intensity of the economies that are oriented to tourism activity, with the aim of avoiding subjective arguments and being more related to perception than with the empirical contrast of the data. A tourist intensity index is proposed, which is made up of four essential variables: GDP, tourist spending, population, and the number of tourists. However, at the same time, it is complemented by a measure of tourist density, which helps to better understand the proposed index. This allows for the classification of countries according to the resulting index, and to calibrate their position in the set of tourist economies. This can be very useful for the application of economic policies aimed at correcting externalities that are generated in the advanced development of mass tourism.

Abstract:
Tourism development is one of the priority directions of the Georgian economy, since this sector significantly ensures the socio-economic growth of the country, hence, raising the level of living of the population. Therefore, in the modern stage, it is vitally necessary to implement state policy in the country, which will facilitate solving problems in the field of tourism and sustainable development of the sector. These are the issues discussed in the work – “Georgian Tourism Industry – Specifications of Development, Problems, Prospective”. The article notes that despite the many political and socio-economic problems accumulated in the country, travelers and tourists flows intensively, which is a positive result of the development of the sector. However, unfortunately, the negative impact of humanity on the nature is strengthened, which is evident in most types of tourism. The article indicates the possibility of avoiding negative ecological processes with reasonable management of anthropogenic negative impact. These requirements are most fully answered by ecological tourism - controlled form of the natural tourism. The research proves that the mass scale of tourism causes not only a negative ecological impact on nature, in addition, it can not answer the challenges facing the country - the sustainable development of the country and the increase in income from tourism, increasing the importance of the sector. As a result of the survey, it is confirmed that for the substantial increase of income received from the tourism service of Georgia is necessary to change the structure of the visitors arriving in the country; In particular, to increase the number of tourists with high paying potential at the expense of decreasing share of mass tourists. To do this, it is necessary to develop and implement such activities, which will make Georgia's natural and cultural resources as world-class tourist products and creates the possibility of making unique impressions. It will facilitate attracting high-paying contingent from EU countries, North America and Asia. The number of tourists with such potential would reduce the risk factors associated with environment and finances and ensure the increase of the state treasury, as well as ensured the socio-economic development of the country and the importance of the sector. The complex of the event is proposed the practical implementation of which promotes tourism business development to improve macroeconomic, institutional, social and legal environment; The necessity of development of tourism business development strategy and action plan is proven. Abstract:
Alternative tourism, specifically cultural tourism, has gained worldwide importance. This is reflected in the growing number of people preferring this type of leisure activity. However, and even though archaeological and religious contexts represent hubs of attraction for pilgrims and tourists, their development seems to generate social issues. The objective of this research is to analyse the social impact of cultural tourism, from the perspective of tradesmen living in the rural municipality of Tlaxcala, Mexico. Information was collected by surveys. Sample size was calculated using the non-probabilistic method (snowball), and 54 tradesmen owning establishments near tourist attractions, were interviewed. Results evidenced that tradesmen do perceive social problems including traffic congestion, increasing living costs, pollution, street vendors, and augmented competition between businesses. However, they appreciate the benefits of providing tourists with low-cost catering services, considering tourism to be positive or very positive. The conclusion is that economic benefits outweigh the social impacts generated by tourism. Highlights: The influx of pilgrims and tourists is generating some social problems in the receiving rural spaces. Tourism service providers derive little benefit due to the low-cost services in accommodation and meal offer to tourists. Social problems are increasing (road traffic, higher cost of living, pollution, street vendors) and greater competition between businesses. Tourist activity is considered good or very good since it contributes to local development.

Abstract Research background: The fast pace of life of contemporary people living in developed countries results in a search for peace and relaxation, which is reflected in new forms of tourism. One of them is slow tourism, which is at an early stage of development. A new type of tourist is emerging – one who is conscious, responsible, critical, respectful of nature, open to learning about the customs, culture and religion of local populations. Purpose: This paper analyses the changes that take place in tourism from a socio-economic perspective, characterized by withdrawing from mass tourism and a shift towards individual tourism, with particular emphasis on slow tourism. Research methodology: The paper is based on a compilation of the current literature of the subject, reports and analysis of Polish websites devoted to slow travel. It is a synthesis of economic and social aspects of slow tourism development, including the motives for taking up slow tourism by tourists and the offer of slow travel in Poland. Results: The analysis of the literature reveals a large diversity in the definition of slow tourism. A lively discussion is going on regarding the meaning of the new trend, its importance and future. Abstract:
Most of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries’ wealth was attributed to revenues generated from oil and gas exports. However, with the fluctuation of oil demand and prices, leaders of GCC countries acknowledged the importance of economic diversification to reduce their dependence on oil exportation and allow for revenue generation from non-energy sectors. As a result, GCC countries, including Qatar, have witnessed rapid development in the tourism sector. The Qatari government commenced several local and intra-regional development plans, which promised more inflow of tourists both from GCC countries and other countries. Yet, impacted by the GCC crisis, the total number of visitors to Qatar noticeably decreased. These changes raise unanswered questions on whether the investment in the tourism sector can create a sustainable non-energy source of revenue. Since little attention has been paid to this issue, this paper contributes to the current understanding of the issue by examining the contribution of tourism to economic growth in Qatar. Using annual data from 1995 to 2018 and employing an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, the paper tested whether the Tourism-Led-Growth Hypothesis (TLGH) is valid for the case of Qatar. Results suggest that tourism does not have a statistically significant impact on economic growth in the short-run. However, it has a statistically significant impact in the long-run, such that every 10 percent increase in tourist visits causes a 3 percent increase in GDP growth. The results suggest that the investment efforts in the tourism sector should continue to stimulate economic growth and development and diversify the economy away from the energy sector.

Abstract:
Tourism activities are considered to be one of the major sources of economic growth. It can be regarded as a mechanism of generating the employment as well as income in both formal and informal sectors. Tourism supplements the foreign exchange earnings derived from trade in commodities and some times finance the import of capital goods necessary for the growth of manufacturing sectors in the economy. On the other hand rapid economic growth in the developed economies attracts foreign travels (Business travels), which leads to an increase in the foreign reserve of the country. Over the past several decades, international tourism has been gaining importance in many economies of the world. According to the World Tourism Organisation (2002), expenditures by 693 million international tourists traveling in 2001 totaled US $ 462 billion, roughly US $ 1.3 billion per day worldwide. In addition, tourists spending have served as an alternative form of exports, contributing to an ameliorated balance of payments through foreign exchange earnings in many countries. The rapid growth of tourism led to a growth of household incomes and government revenues directly and indirectly by means of multiplier effects, improving balance of payments and provoking tourism-promoted government policies. As a result, the development of tourism has generally been considered a positive contribution to economic growth.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the topical issues of finding ways to get the tourism industry out of the crisis at the world and national levels. In the context of the coronavirus pandemic, due to the closure of borders and a decrease in the level of income of the population, the tourism industry has suffered the greatest losses, as evidenced by the indicators of reducing the tourist flow and, accordingly, income from conducting tourist activities. Since the industry is of great socio-economic importance through providing the population with jobs and making a significant contribution to national and local budgets, as well as influencing the development of related sectors of the economy, the problem of tourism development becomes of state importance, especially in the countries with a high share of income from the tourism industry in the GDP structure. According to preliminary estimates of experts, the level of global GDP due to the crisis in tourism may decrease by 2.8 %. The article analyzed statistical data on the development of the tourism industry in 2019, as well as based on the results of analyzing the assessments of experts of international organizations dealing with the tourism and economic development, three scenarios were constructed for changing the main financial indicators of the tourism industry for the period from 2020 to 2021: realistic, optimistic and pessimistic.

Abstract:
Urban tourist destinations or City Break destinations are representing one of main destination products on tourist market. City Break destinations are big cities, administrative, economic and political centers of states and regions. These cities are 'open' 24 hours per day, seven days in week. Inside these tourist destination we can find different range of products (culture, entertainment, recreation, leisure, history, modern infrastructure). In these destinations season is not present and it lasts trough out the year. Promotional campaigns in City Break destinations are truing to create distinguished images in tourists mind as also as on investors, consumers and future residents. They emphasize advantages that those cities are delivering to their consumers, but often we forget that all these cities are having specific geographic landscapes. In the era of limiting of mass tourism to preserve resources for future generations and emphasizing the importance of sustainable development for tourism perspectives, the importance of specific geographic landscapes inside urban destinations for their further development as tourist destinations an their overall development is slightly neglected.

Abstract:
Tourism has become an important sector in some national economic development, especially in Indonesia. In Indonesia, the tourism sector is one of the biggest non-oil foreign exchange-earners. Consequently, the Indonesian government has introduced laws, policies, and regulations to bolster the sector. Specifically, Lake Toba in North Sumatra is a famous coastal tourist destination in Indonesia, which attracts both local and foreign tourists. The objectives of this research are to examine coastal tourism in Indonesia and address possible measures to achieve sustainable coastal tourism in Lake Toba. The methodology adopted in this research includes a qualitative approach with descriptive and dialectical analysis. Moreover, the data used are adopted from literature, tables, pictures, and documentary reviews. In the course of the research, it was discovered that many factors threaten sustainable tourism development in Lake Toba, particularly lack of and access to infrastructure, inadequate funds, among others. The result of the research reveals that government laws and policies and recommendations by scholars significantly strengthen sustainable tourism in Lake Toba. In concluding the research, it was argued that due to the economic and social-cultural importance of tourism to the development of Indonesia, it is imperative to effectively implement the laws, policies, and recommendations outlined in the paper.
