O presente estudo foi elaborado a partir da articulação entre o aporte biopsicossocial da surdez e os princípios fundamentais da teoria winnicottiana, tendo como intuito abrir um canal de reflexões e compreensões a respeito da clínica com sujeitos surdos em sofrimento psíquico grave. Buscou-se compreender os fatores de risco para o sofrimento psíquico grave em sujeitos surdos, problematizando-se os potenciais encontros e rupturas entre o sujeito e o ambiente, desde a família até o social. Para este estudo, utilizamos a metodologia de estudo de caso clínico com o objetivo de compreender o sofrimento psíquico grave de uma paciente surda, dando escuta e favorecendo a fala por meio da Língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras), assim como descrevendo o desenvolvimento emocional da paciente por meio da clínica. A partir dessas questões e com base na teoria winnicottiana, apontamos para a importância de um aporte psicoterápico que se fundamente na promoção de holding, favorecendo um cuidado terapêutico que se subsidie na experiência para além da língua, abarcando uma linguagem mais ampla, a dimensão da comunicação afetiva. Dessa forma, a terapia foi se constituindo e a regressão à dependência surgindo a partir da confiança que foi se estabelecendo e os medos, as defesas, os desejos, os afetos explicitaram-se cada vez mais. Percebeu-se que a insistência na cura da surdez e a normatização da expressão oral como única via de ser e de se comunicar no mundo, pode dificultar a atenção ao sujeito, ocasionando dificuldades em olhar e reconhecer o bebê em sua singularidade, vindo a configurar experiências intrusivas tanto nas relações precoces, quanto ao longo da vida do sujeito. De maneira geral, podemos dividir esta terapia em dois momentos: Um inicial, em que os traumas, as dores e desejos foram reexperimentados, simbolizados, escutados. E um posterior, em que a paciente encontra-se consigo mesma e busca reconstruir-se a partir desse sofrimento. De corpo doente, anormal, passou a ter vontade, desejo. Alcançou um mundo mais independente, simbolizado, mais integrado afetivamente. O processo psicoterápico considerou como favorecedor o uso de elementos culturais da comunidade surda como via de promoção de disponibilidade ao sujeito e de comunicação e compreensão acerca do mundo psíquico e cultural do sujeito surdo em sofrimento psíquico grave.
This study was modeled from the articulation between the biopsychosocial contribution of deafness, the contributions on the emotional development and the clinical practice of Donald Winnicott. Besides, it was taken into account the clinical experience of deaf people, with the intention to open a way for reflections and apprehensions about the clinical situation of deaf people in severe psychical distress. It was endeavored to understand the risk factors for serious psychological distress in deaf individuals, elaborating potential junctions and ruptures between the person and the environment, from family to social aspects. We have used the clinical case study methodology to understand the critical psychological distress of a deaf patient, supplying listening and favoring speech in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), describing the emotional development of patients through the clinic. Based on these issues and in the Winnicott's Theory, we point to the importance of a psychotherapist contribution structured on the promotion of the holding approach, supporting a therapeutic care that contributes to an experience beyond the language, and embracing a broader language, the dimension of affective communication. In this sense, the therapy has been building through time, and the regression to dependence appeared from the trust. The fear, the defense mechanisms, the desire, and the affections became stronger than before. We noticed that the insistence on the cure of deafness, at the same time on the normalization of the oral expression as the only way to be and to communicate with the world can bring up difficulties with the attentiveness to the individual. That could cause complications to recognize the baby's particularities, producing initial intrusive experiences, as well in its lifetime. In general, we can split up this therapy in two separate forms: the initial, where the traumas, pains and desires were revived, symbolized and received; the second one, where the patient finds itself, trying to rebuild its life from that time. From sick, the patient became normal, with life and desire active. The patient has achieved an independent status, symbolized, more affectively integrated. The therapeutic process had considered as favoring cultural elements from the deaf population as a way of promotion of the availability of the individual, as well the communication and comprehension of the cultural and psychic world of deaf persons with serious psychological pain.

The following report is a comprehensive analysis of two works for wind band and one work for small chamber ensemble, prepared by Patrick Sullivan. The report was completed in addition to a Graduate Conducting Recital, taking place on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 3:00pm. The concert featured the Kansas State University Wind Ensemble and took place on the Kansas State University Campus in McCain Auditorium, the conductors were Andrew Feyes and Patrick Sullivan. Audio and video recordings of the conducted performance can be found within the K-State Research Exchange database. The following report includes three comprehensive Unit Studies or Teacher Research Guides found in the Teaching Music Through Performance in Band book series. The report also includes three Tracz Analysis Grids, newly published in The Art of Interpretation of Band Music. The examined pieces are as follows. Full band works, Flight by Claude T. Abstract:
I. INTRODUCCIÓ

La insuficiència renal crònica (IRC) és una patologia d'incidència creixent i en conseqüència, els requeriments de tractament substitutiu renal són també cada cop majors a les societats occidentalitzades. El trasplantament renal és el tractament substitutiu d'elecció en els pacients que desenvolupen IRC terminal, aportant una major supervivència, qualitat de vida i és menys cosotosa que la resta de teràpies substitutives renals.

Des de que al 1954 es realitzà el primer trasplantament renal reeixit fins a l'actualitat, s'ha recorregut un camí molt llarg. El trasplantament renal ha passat de ser una teràpia anecdòtica i exclusiva, practicada solament en casos molt seleccionats, a fer-se de forma rutinària com a tractament electiu als centres hospitalaris.

Els resultats del trasplantament renal a curt termini han millorat de forma significativa en els darrers quinze anys, assolint una taxa de supervivència de l'empelt de quasi el 95% durant el primer any del trasplantament. És evident que l'avenç significatiu en el coneixement dels mecanismes de la resposta immunitària ha permès l'elaboració de noves drogues immunosupressores, cada cop més selectives dirigides sobre dianes específiques i claus en l'activació de la resposta immunològica. Entre aquests fàrmacs cal destacar l'aparició durant les dècades dels 80 i 90 dels inhibidors de la calcineurina (ciclosporina i tacrolimus) i l' antiproliferatiu micofenolat mofetil, i a partir del 2000 els inhibidors de m-TOR (mamalian target of rapamycin) i les noves formulacions de l'àcid micofenòlic així com nous anticossos monoclonals i policlonals utilitzats com a teràpia d'inducció. Amb ells, s'aconseguí una reducció significativa dels episodis de rebuig agut cel.lulars, passant d'una incidència del 30-40% a una incidència actual entre el 10-15%. Malgrat tot, l'aparició inexorable de disfunció crònica de l'empelt, que es tradueix histològicament en lesions inespecífiques de fibrosi intersticial i atròfia tubular, i la mort del pacient essencialment degut a malaltia cardiovascular i al càncer, ambdues causes paradoxalment relacionades a l'ús crònic d'aquestes potents teràpies immunosupressores, han fet que la supervivència de l'empelt renal a llarg termini no s'hagi incrementat en els darrers 15 anys tal i com s'hauria esperat. Per tant, malgrat les noves estratègies terapèutiques immunosupressores aparegudes en les darreres dues dècades, no s'ha pogut evidenciar un impacte significatiu en la supervivència de l'empelt a més llarg termini. És per aquest motiu que sorgeix en els darrers anys una corrent de pensament, cada cop més majoritària entre la comunitat científica, que es postula a favor d'intentar preparar o programar al sistema immunològic per assolir un estat d'hiporesposta o tolerància immunològica específica enfront el donant, amb la finalitat de poder reduir o fins i tot en casos seleccionats, eliminar totalment el tractament immunosupressor d'una forma segura. Per assolir aquest objectiu però, és essencial disposar de marcadors biològics i eines de monitoratge de la resposta immunològica amb prou sensibilitat i especificitat que ens permetin conèixer l'estat funcional d'aquesta resposta d'una manera dinàmica en els diferents períodes evolutius del trasplantament.
Il. HIPÒTESI

La hipòtesi que proposem en el nostre treball és que el monitoratge de les subpoblacions limfocitàries T de memòria/efectora secretora d'IFN-gamma i T reguladora FoxP3+ donantespecífiques en el trasplantament renal podria exercir un paper rellevant com a biomarcadors de la funció immunològica donant-específica i per tant relacionar-se amb la funció i el dany histològic de l'empelt, tant en protocols protolerogènics com en el seguiment del pacient trasplantat en tractament de manteniment.

III. OBJECTIUS

1. El primer objectiu del treball de tesi és avaluar si el monitoratge dels linfòcits T de memòria/efectors circulants donant-específics i activats per les dues vies de presentación antigènica (directe i indirecte) mitjançant la tècnica d'Elispot IFN-gamma en pacients portadors d'un empelt renal de llarga evolució (>2 anys), és un bon biomarcador capaç de discriminar aquells pacients que presenten alteracions de la funció renal.

2. El segon objectiu és avaluar si la presència de cèl·lules Tregs (CD4+CD25+FoxP3+) entre infiltrats cel.lulars en pacients diagnosticats de rebuig agut subclínic, és un bon biomarcador per a diferenciar entre infiltrats lesius d'aquells amb un rol protector sobre l'empelt.

3. El tercer objectiu d'aquest treball és avaluar els mecanismes a través dels quals l'administració d'un protocol immunosupressor amb propietats inmunomoduladores basat amb un tractament inductor deplecionador limfocitari T amb rATG a dosis baixes, acompanyat d'un tractament de manteniment amb sirolimus i micofenolat mofetil, sense esteroides ni fàrmacs anti-calcineurínics, és capaç d'induir un estat d'hiporesposta donant-específica després del trasplantament renal. Per assolir aquest objectiu, es realitza un monitoratge acurat de les diferents respostes immunològiques efectores d'aquests pacients en diferents períodes del trasplantament; la resposta cel.lular donant-específica per tècnica d'Elispot IFN-gamma, la resposta humoral mitjançant l'estudi d'al'loanticossos donant-específics (DSA) circulants i presència de C4d a nivell de capil.lars peritubulars de l'empelt i la resposta reguladora estudiant la presència i comportament funcional de les TregsFoxP3+ tant en sang perifèrica com directament a nivell de l'empelt renal.

In the paper, we propose a portable A/D USB dongle architecture for the NB/PC-based software DVB-T receiver. It includes a tuner, A/D chip and USB bridge. During the field trials, the proposed portable A/D USB dongle and the baseband processing software we develop before can successfully demodulate the DVB-T signal in a NB/PC when the moving speed of the receiver is 0km/hr and 100km/hr.

Abstract:
Affective polarization is a phenomenon that has invaded the political arena empowered by social networks. In this chapter, the authors analyze the Capitol riot posts on Twitter. To achieve this, the authors use affective computing introducing the multi-emotional charge combined with statistical analysis based on the t-student test and Welch's t-test. The research questions guiding this study are: How do social media platforms' messages impact on inciting? Do social media platforms' messages with negative emotional charge affect legitimizing of the Capitol protest? Findings identify the significant influence of Donald Trump on Twitter during the Capitol riot. Moreover, data analysis identifies positive and negative emotions towards Donald Trump as well as similarities in the showed emotions of Trump and the audience.

This chapter examines the emergence of Islamophobia after September 11, 2001, and its continued rise in the early twenty-first century with conspiracy theories about Sharia, Christian fears about the future of America as a “Christian nation,” and the presidential campaign and election of Donald Trump. The primary sources in this chapter focus on the birther controversy surrounding President Barack Obama, the racialization of Islam and attacks on Sikhs, media and popular culture stereotypes of Islam as un-American, violent, and oppressive toward women, and the expansion of Islamophobia during the Trump presidency. Various sources, ranging from tweets and radio transcripts to T-shirts and internet art to news interviews and executive orders, demonstrate the growth and pervasiveness of Islamophobia in the twenty-first century United States.

At the very beginning of Fight Club, the Platonic critique of art and everyday life is echoed when the nameless protagonist, the Edward Norton character, says that with insomnia “nothing’s real. Everything’s far away. Everything’s a copy of a copy of a copy.” With that clear invitation, this chapter argues that Fincher intends a conversation with the Platonic critique of appearances. Fight clubs—in their retreat from the world and providing for meaningless but intense feeling—are to be understood as allegories of works of art in a consumer society that enable temporary release from it through pain induced enlivenment. Fight Club goes on to track how a political aesthetic can topple into fascist aestheticized politics. Finally, enlisting T. W. Adorno’s “Freudian Theory and the Pattern of Fascist Propaganda,” the chapter argues that the bond between the charismatic Tyler Durden / Brad Pitt character and his fascist followers is deeply akin to that between Donald Trump and his followers.

Abstract:
As part of PGE-EBC-MTU collaboration of the testing program to fire up to 100% of biocoal in the 600 MW Boardman boiler we produced samples from the seven biomass feedstock: Arundo Donax (AD), wheat waste, corn waste, woody hybrid poplar, and bark from hybrid poplar, woody pine, and bark from pine. The idea was to produce a few thousand tons of biocoal from woody and bark poplar for a 100% firing tests and from the other types to produce a 1000 tons of biocoal from each material that will be co-fired up to 10% with Powder River Basin coal. Biocoal is produced by a torrefaction which is a thermal process carried out in absence of oxygen. We have produced biocoal samples from the above biomass feedstock in two pilot facilities, one in Israel and another in Michigan. The torrefaction process comprises the following steps: (1) shredding and soil separation, (2) drying, (3) torrefaction, and (4) compaction to produce biocoal briquettes. Biocoal briquettes are essential for logistics, safety, operational, and economic considerations. The briquettes must be durable, water resistant and can be pulverized in common coal mills. The briquettes that we produced did indeed conform to these properties. A real operational challenge was working with absence of oxygen which essential for the torrefaction process as well as for safety considerations because the entire process occurs at elevated temperatures which biocoal can burn. A 30,000 t/year torrefaction facility has been constructed at the Boardman Plant site to produce biocoal required for the firing tests.

Abstract:
Introdução: O ato de amamentar envolve interações entre o binômio materno-infantil, repercutindo em benefícios que ultrapassam os aspectos dietéticos e nutricionais. Contemplando uma estratégia natural de vínculo, afeto e proteção para criança, representa, também, uma estratégia econômica e eficaz de redução de morbimortalidade infantil e materna. Objetivo: Identificar o conhecimento materno, em enfermaria puerperal de maternidade estadual do Piauí, sobre o processo de amamentação, avaliando o nível socioeconômico e o suporte pré-natal recebido, a fim de estabelecer correlação entre esses fatores e o grau de instrução sobre o tema. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo observacional, analítico, transversal e prospectivo. Foi realizado na maternidade Dona Evangelina Rosa em Teresina/Piauí. Obteve-se uma amostra não probabilística, consecutiva, de todas as mulheres que tiveram parto vaginal ou cesáreo assistidos pela instituição. Foi utilizado um formulário estruturado, elaborado pelos pesquisadores, acerca de aspectos relacionados à amamentação, como orientação sobre o aleitamento materno durante o pré-natal e conhecimento atual sobre a técnica de amamentação. Os dados coletados foram inseridos em um banco de dados e analisados por meio de testes comparativos (teste t de Student) e correlacionais (teste de correlação de Pearson). Resultados: Neste estudo, foram selecionadas 120 mulheres com idade entre 15 e 35 anos. Quanto à escolaridade, 34% delas apresentavam ensino médio completo. Em relação à experiência com aleitamento materno (AM), 58% responderam que possuíam algum tipo de experiência. A maioria (63%) obteve informações a respeito de orientações relativas ao AM durante a gestação. Em relação à forma com que adquiriram essas informações, 51% afirmaram que foi durante a assistência pré-natal, por meio de orientações médicas ou da equipe de enfermagem; outros recursos também citados foram leitura e comunicação social (18%). Além disso, 82% das mulheres responderam que o período adequado para AM é de seis meses. Afirmaram que as mamas devem ser lavadas com sabonete antes de todas as mamadas 68% e 73% disseram que a mama deve ser completamente esvaziada antes de se ofertar a outra.
