The aim of the study is to analyze how 18 year old Instagram users experience the strategic social interaction, which can be seen as a digital interaction online while using Instagram application. The main focus was to se how it affects and influences social life outside the digital sphere. The study consists of two focus groups with a total of eight young secondary upper school students. This method worked out with reality-based scenarios based on Instagram, which we in our study refer to as “cases”. With the case the young students discussed their thoughts, opinions and ideas. In addition to the focus groups, the study was supplemented with two interviews. A total of three theories were used to analyze the material; Pierre Bourdieu's Habitus and social capital, Jay Blumer and Denis McQuails Uses and Gratification and Anja Hirdman's perspectives on gender in society and in digital media. The result showed that 18 years old users tend to strategically use different combinations at the platform Instagram to influence their social life - the social room, a sphere that involves people in the real life (meetings). The fact that young people are affected both positively and negatively was also evident. Instagram can be seen as an interconnection tool but also a source of inspiration where you can escape your reality. However, all participants were aware that those who exist on the platform are exaggerated and far from reality.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen var att undersöka hur handlingar som inte är allmänna handlingar hanteras av tre statliga myndigheter. Utgångspunkten är att det kan finnas handlingar som inte faller in under definitionen allmänna handlingar som kan vara intressanta för eftervärlden och att de riskerar att rensas bort för att det inte finns något regelverk som styr hur de ska hanteras. Att de raderas utan att deras informationsvärde bedöms utifrån de syften med arkivbildningen som anges i Arkivlagen. För att nå syftet har jag använt mig av två frågeställningar. Fråga 1 - Hur resonerar myndigheterna kring bevarande och gallring av handlingar som inte är allmänna? och fråga 2 - Vilka utmaningar upplever myndigheter vid bevarande och gallring av dessa handlingar? För att svara på frågorna valde jag att genomföra en fallstudie. Jag genomförde intervjuer med anställda vid två myndigheter. Jag gjorde dessutom en autoetnografisk undersökning utifrån intervjufrågorna på den myndighet jag själv arbetar. Resultatet av studien visar att handlingar som inte är allmänna sparas i väldigt stor utsträckning. Men att de inte sparas för att de är intressanta för eftervärlden utan för att de inte går att ta bort dem eller för att det är för komplicerat eller dyrt att radera dem. I den digitala världen sparas i stort sätt allt som skapas. Detta passiva bevarande gör att man inte har full kontroll över informationen. Man vet inte riktigt vad arkivet innehåller eller vad det berättar. Handlingar som inte är färdigställda och aldrig varit av intresse för verksamheten i stort utan enbart för enskilda anställda som stöd i deras arbete kommer exempelvis att bli del av arkivet. Dessutom kan känsliga uppgifter i arbetsmaterial komma att bli offentliga eftersom handlingar som tas om hand för arkivering automatiskt blir allmänna handlingar. Tekniken styr i stor utsträckning vad som bevaras och inte arkivaspekten.

Avhandlingen fokuserar på kollaborativt berättande i digitala medier, och tar avstamp i relativt detaljerade beskrivningar av de designprojekt som utgör avhandlingsarbetets ryggrad. Kännetecknande för dessa designprojekt är att de kombinerar fysiska och virtuella rum och/eller flera medieplattformar. Utifrån kritiska läsningar av designval och bruk av de koncept och prototyper som designprojekten utmynnat i presenteras argument för föreslagna "sätt att se" på design av berättande i digitala medier och centrala kvaliteter i miljöer för kollaborativt berättande. Grundläggande är att se berättande som en överenskommelse, som måste springa ur den berättarsituation, den fysiska och sociala verklighet, som utgör en oavvislig del av allt berättande. Denna överenskommelse upprättar ett "rum" för att undersöka och värdera möjlig mänsklig handling, ett rum vars estetiska egenskaper inte kan skiljas från de etiska och politiska frågeställningar som sätts i rörelse av allt berättande. Utifrån detta grundläggande synsätt diskuteras frågan om utformandet av handlingsutrymme i relation till interaktivitet i digitala medier, begrepp som roll, karaktär, samarbete och konflikt samt rytm, poesi och mångtydighet. Argumenten och resonemangen grundas, utöver i den kritiska läsningen av designprojekten, också i en bredare översikt av narrativitetsbegreppets utveckling inom human- och samhällsvetenskaperna de senaste två decennierna samt i en diskussion av teorier, synsätt och vanliga grundantaganden kring berättande i digitala media. Utrymme i avhandlingen ges också åt en kunskapsteoretisk diskussion kring frågan om design som forskning, främst ur ett perspektiv grundat i STS-fältet men också i relation till förda resonemang ifråga om praxisbaserad forskning i allmänhet och designforskning och designteori i synnerhet.

Panorama stitching increases the field of view in an image by assembling multiple views together. Traditional stitching techniques are proven to be effective only when dealing with parallax-free monocular images. Many challenges that remain unsolved in the stitching research area include how to stitch monocular images with large parallax, how to stitch stereoscopic images to maintain their stereoscopic consistency and original disparity distribution, and how to create panoramic videos with temporally coherent content. To provide more powerful stitching techniques with more universality, we first develop a parallax-tolerant image stitching technique. With the help of it, we then effectively extend the stitching techniques into the stereoscopic image and the video domain to assist users easily making stereoscopic panoramas and video panoramas.
In this dissertation, we first introduce a parallax-tolerant stitching method, which is a local stitching method to stitch monocular images with large parallax. This method is based on the observation that input images do not need to be perfectly aligned over the whole overlapping region for stitching. Instead, they only need to be aligned in a way that there exists a local region where they can be seamlessly blended together. We develop a randomized algorithm to search for a local homography, which, combined with content-preserving warping, allows for optimal stitching. Our experiments show that our method can effectively stitch images with large parallax that are difficult for existing methods.
After studying the problem of regular 2D image stitching, we continue to research 3D image stitching in this dissertation. In particular, we develop a technique for stitching stereoscopic panoramas from stereo images casually taken using a stereo camera. Stereoscopic image stitching needs to address three challenges: how to deal with parallax, how to stitch the left- and right-view panorama consistently, and how to take care of disparity during stitching. We address these challenges by first stitching the left images with the parallax-tolerant image stitching method to create an artifact-free left view panorama, then stitching the disparity maps with disparity optimization, finally warping and stitching the right images according to the stitched disparity map and the left view panorama. Experiment results show that our technique allows for easy production of high quality stereoscopic panoramas that deliver a pleasant stereoscopic 3D viewing experience.
With the 3D image stitching problem addressed, we further study a more complex and challenging task of video stitching. We contribute two video stitching techniques, namely the motion map guided video stitching and the feature trajectory guided video stitching. Our techniques stitch pre-synchronized videos captured from a fixed or hand-held camera array which contains multiple cameras with fixed inter-camera configurations. One unique challenge for video stitching is how to maintain temporal coherence. To address this problem, we propose to consistently stitch frames with the guidance of the target camera motion path. In particular, we develop two techniques using dense motion maps and sparse motion vectors to compute the target camera motion path. Afterwards, we warp and stitch frames according to the target camera motion path to create panoramic videos with temporal coherence. Experiments show that our methods can improve the overall panoramic video stitching quality compared with existing methods.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the opinions of Swedish public library staff, managing makerspaces, regarding the role of their spaces. The material is derived from four semi-structured interwievs with, and four e-mail answers from staff managing makerspaces at seven public libraries in Sweden. Directed content analysis was used to interpret the results of the empirical study. The theoretical framework is based on a model for library development presented in 2012 by the Danish researchers Henrik Jochumsen, Casper Hvenegaard Rasmussen, and Dorte Skot-Hansen. According to the model, the library´s mission is to support the following four goals: experience, involvement, empowerment, and innovation. The model also presents four spaces, in which the goals should be supported. These spaces are: the inspiration space, the learning space, the meeting space, and the performative space. The results show that the interviewees view makerspaces in their public libraries as a way to promote democracy and digital inclusion by offering collaborative learnings spaces.

Information systems used in archaeological research have several needs that can be summarized as follows: interoperability among diverse, heterogeneous systems, making information available without significant delay, providing a sustainable approach to long-term preservation of data, and providing a suite of services to users of the system. In this thesis, we describe how digital library techniques can be employed to provide solutions to these problems and describe our experiences in creating a prototype for ETANA-DL. ETANA-DL is a model-based, componentized, extensible, archaeological Digital Library that manages complex information sources using the client-server paradigm of the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). We have designed and developed the prototype system with the following main goals: 1) to achieve information sharing between different heterogeneous archaeological systems, 2) to make primary archaeological data rapidly available to users, 3) to provide useful services to users of the DL, 4) to elicit requirements that users of the system will have beyond the services that it supports, and 5) to provide a sustainable solution to long-term preservation of valuable archaeological data. Consequently, we describe our approach to handling heterogeneous archaeological information from disparate sources; suggest an architecture for ETANA-DL, to be validated through prototyping; and show that given a pool of components that implement common DL services, a prototype DL can be rapidly created that supports several useful services over integrated data. Further, and most fundamentally, we note that understanding complex information systems is a difficult task. Finally, therefore, we describe our efforts to model complex archaeological information systems using the 5S framework, and show how we have used the resulting partial models to implement ETANA-DL with cross-collection searching and browsing capabilities.Master of Science

Genom ett testamente kan en person se till så att han får sin yttersta vilja fram efter hans bortgång. Vid upprättande av testamente måste dock en testator ta hänsyn till de formkrav som gäller för handlingen, vilka är kraven på skriftlighet, underskrift och bevittning. Dessa formkrav brukar traditionellt sett bestå av en fysisk del, så som att testamentet ska upprättas på papper, testatorn ska egenhändigt skriva under testamentet och bevittningen ska ske genom fysisk närvaro. Vi lever dock i ett allt mer digitaliserat och teknikvänligt samhälle och en naturlig följd av det vore om en person kunde upprätta ett digitalt testamente. Syftet med denna uppsats är att fastställa gällande rätt avseende testamentets formkrav och utreda om de kan uppfyllas genom ett digitalt testamente. Eftersom formkraven inte kan uppfyllas elektroniskt traditionellt sett, kommer författaren istället att utgå ifrån syftena bakom formkraven. Bakom kravet på skriftlighet ligger främst bevis- och äkthetsfunktionen som syftar till att säkerställa ett testamentes tillblivelse, giltighet och innehåll. Kravet på underskrift grundas främst på viljeförklaringsfunktionen, med andra ord att testatorn ska intyga om att testamentet utgör hans yttersta vilja. Kravet på bevittning syftar till att kunna säkerställa testamentets legala upprättande och underskriftens äkthet. Syftena bakom kraven på skriftlighet, underskrift och bevittning kan uppfyllas även vid användning av elektroniska rutiner. Dock finns inte idag den teknik som behövs för att spara och arkivera elektroniskt underskrivna handlingar under en längre period. Därmed kan inte ordinära testamenten upprättas i digital form, medan holografiska testamenten som bara är giltiga i tre månader borde kunna upprättas digitalt.Through a will, a person can make sure that he gets his last wishes taken care of after his death. When establishing a will, however, you have to take into account the formal requirements of the act, such as that the will have to be in writing, signed and witnessed. These procedural requirements traditionally consist of a physical part, for example the will shall be written on paper, the testator must personally sign the will and the witnessing shall be achieved through physical presence. However, we live in an increasingly digitized and technology-oriented society and the natural consequence of this would be if a person could establish a digital will. The purpose of this paper is to determine the applicable law in respect of the formal requirements of a will and investigate whether they can be met by a digital will. Since the formal requirements can not traditionally be met electronically, the author will instead look at the underlying aims of the formal requirements. Behind the requirement of writing is primarily the evidence and authenticity feature which aims to ensure the wills creation, validity and content. The requirement of signature is based primarily on the intent function, in other words, the testator must certify that the will contains his last wishes. The requirement of witnessing aims to ensure the wills legal establishment and signature authenticity. The purposes behind the requirements of writing, signed and witnessing can be met even when using electronic procedures. However, the technology available today is not able to save and archive electronically signed documents for a longer period. Because of this ordinary wills cannot be drawn up in digital form, whereas holographic wills, that are only valid for three months, should be able to be drawn up in digital form.

Various facets of direct digital manufactured (DDM) microwave packages are studied. The rippled surface inherent in fused deposition modeling (FDM) fabricated geometries is modeled in Ansoft HFSS, and its effect on the performance of microstrip transmission lines is assessed via simulation and measurement. The thermal response of DDM microstrip transmission lines is analyzed over a range of RF input powers, and linearity is confirmed over that range.
Two IC packages are embedded into DDM printed circuit boards, and their performance is analyzed. The first is a low power RF switch, and the second is an RF front end device that includes a low noise amplifier (LNA) and a power amplifier (PA). The RF switch is shown to perform well, as compared to a layout designed for a Rogers 4003C microwave laminate substrate. The LNA performs within datasheet specifications. The power amplifier generates substantial heat, so a thermal management attempt is described.
Finally, a capacitively loaded 6dB Wilkinson power divider is designed and fabricated using DDM techniques and materials. Its performance is analyzed and compared to simulation. The device is shown to compare favorably to a similar device fabricated on a Rogers 4003C microwave laminate using traditional printed circuit board techniques.

Föreliggande magisteruppsats skrivs inom fältet Svenska med didaktisk inriktning (Smdi). Syftet är att undersöka digitalt meningsskapande i olika nätgemenskaper utifrån barnets perspektiv, nämligen sju flickor i årskurs 7 och 8. Forskningsfrågorna fokuserar på drivkrafterna bakom deltagande i olika nätgemenskaper, hur man kommunicerar och interagerar med varandra och vad man lär sig. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats.Metoden är semistrukturerade intervjuer.Studiens övergripande teoretiska plattformär ett sociokulturellt perspektiv på meningsskapande.Med teori och begrepp, som kommunikativ handling, även från medieekologin, multiliteracies och samhälls- och medievetenskapen analyseras vad flickorna ger uttryck för att deras digitala meningsskapande består av.Undersökningen visar att de kommunikativa handlingarna läsande, skrivande, lärande, relations- och identitetsskapande samspelar med olika modaliteter, medier och konventioner. De syftar till att inför likasinnade visa upp sig, sina intressen och berättelser, men också om att pröva nya roller och lära sig mer om sig själv.Meningsskapandet handlar även om att kollektivt och i interaktion med andra lösa problemsamt bidra till medskapande för att därigenom bekräfta tillhörigheten inom nätgemenskapen.

Never before in the history of humanity has so much content been created. According to Eric Schmidt, Google CEO, every two days now we create as much information as we did from the dawn of civilization up until 2003. Most of this information will either live entirely or partially on the digital realm, according to, in the next 8 years, more than one-third of all digital information created annually will either live in or pass through the cloud. A series of problems emerge when a persons needs to deal with all of this data like, photos, songs, videos, blog posts, emails, their virtual possessions. They are not limited by space and are difficult to curate; It is difficult to create the sense of value on virtual things; They lack uniqueness; and last, but not least; the main tools used to manage this data are still based on metaphors made popular by Microsoft MS-DOS in the 80’s: Files and Directories. In my degree project, I have explored possible alternatives for maintaining and bequeathing virtual possessions. The project was conducted in 24 weeks (51-22) using a Goal-Directed Design (GDD) process with strong focus on Design Ethnography, Prototyping and an extra bit of Philosophy.

Mycket av plånbokens innehåll och funktion, såsom medlemskort och betallösningar, är idag ersatt av mobila lösningar. Däremot finns det i Sverige ingen mobil lösning för id-kort som kan användas på samma sätt som det fysiska id-kortet. Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka huruvida svenska myndigheter ser ett behov av en mobilanpassad id-kortslösning och, om detta behov konstateras, föreslå en modell för hur en sådan lösning skulle kunna utformas. För att undersöka detta ämne har tre intervjuer med svenska myndigheter (Elegitimationsnämnden, Polismyndigheten och Transportstyrelsen) samt en litteraturstudie genomförts. Uppsatsens resultat består av tre kunskapsprodukter: en behovsanalys, en kravsammanställning och en infrastrukturmodell. Behovsanalysen undersöker behovet av en mobilanpassad id-kortslösning, sett från de intervjuade myndigheternas perspektiv. Denna analys visar att myndigheterna ser ett behov av en sådan lösning. Kravsammanställningen består av krav på en mobilanpassad id-kortslösning som härletts från de genomförda intervjuerna samt från uppsatsens huvudsakliga teoribas: Kim Camerons The Laws of Identity (2005). Infrastrukturmodellen är utformad efter dessa krav och beskriver hur en mobilanpassad id-kortslösning skulle kunna utformas för att passa in i den svenska infrastrukturen för digital identitetshantering. Modellen är även utformad för att följa Hanseth och Lyytinens (2010) designregler för informationsinfrastrukturutveckling och den visar att utveckling av en mobilanpassad id-kortslösning i Sverige är tekniskt genomförbar.Much of the contents and functionality of the traditional wallet, such as membership cards and payment solutions, have been replaced by smartphone solutions. Yet, in Sweden there is no smartphone based solution for ID cards that can be used in the same way as the physical ID card. This paper examines whether the Swedish authorities see a need for a smartphone based ID card solution and, if such a need is identified, suggests a model for how such a solution could be designed. To explore this topic, a literature review and three interviews with Swedish authorities (the E-identification Board, the Police Authority and the Transport Agency) have been conducted. The results of this report consists of three knowledge products: a demand analysis, a requirements specification and an infrastructure model. The demand analysis examines the need for a smartphone based ID card solution, as seen from the interviewed authorities' perspective. This analysis indicates that the authorities see a need for such a solution. The requirements specification consists of requirements for a smartphone based ID card solution, derived from the conducted interviews and Kim Cameron's The Laws of Identity (2005). The infrastructure model is designed to meet these requirements and describes how a smartphone based ID card solution could be designed to fit into the Swedish infrastructure for digital identity management. The model is also designed to follow the design rules for information infrastructure development derived by Hanseth and Lyytinen (2010) and shows that the development of a smartphone based ID card solution in Sweden is technically feasible.

Background: In healthcare, it is common that personnel handle medical gases. Medical gases can be hazardous if they are handled the wrong way. The healthcare personnel needs knowledge within gas handling to eliminate the risks of mix-ups, inaccurate transportation, inaccurate change of regulators and further on. Therefore, it is essential to educate healthcare personnel in how to handle medical gases in a safe manner. Region Uppsala has been responsible for educations on-site. To make the education more accessible it is desirable to make an interactive online course, with personnel responsible for medical gases as the target group. Aim: To design a digital interactive education, with personnel responsible for medical gases as the target group. Method: Revise material from earlier education plans within gas handling, designing an interactive online course using Articulate 360 storyline and evaluate the pedagogical layout and the information in the first version of the online course. Result: It was found that an interactive online course, with personnel responsible for medical gases within Region Uppsala as the target group should contain general information about gas, medical gases with associated bottles, information about gas cylinder, regulators and their handling and security and management processes. Focus during the making of the online course was to include interactive parts and to follow the principles “Meaningful”, “Engaging” and “Accessible”. The result from the evaluation made on the first version of the education generated about ten points of improvement. Two examples of changes applied to the final version of the education was a change of color from black to white on the icons at the bottom of the layout and addition of a section about emergency shut-off valves. Conclusion: An interactive online course was produced with the purpose to educate personnel responsible for medical gases within Region Uppsala. The created online course is more accessible than the previous education available on-site and with some complementary practical elements, the online course can permanently replace the previous on-site education.

The influence of thermal processing and preservation techniques on selected bioactive compounds of baobab fruit pulp and juice from Malawi were analysed using RP-HPLC whereas total phenol content (TPC) and antioxidant activity were measured by spectrophotometry. 1H NMR-based metabolomics was used to compare the metabolic profile of untreated (UT), high temperature short time (HTST) pasteurised and high temperature short time pasteurised with added citric acid (CAHTST) baobab juice samples and to analyse the temporal changes upon different storage conditions. Malawi baobab pulp contains high levels of procyanidin B2 (533.3 ± 22.6 mg/100 g FW), vitamin C (465.8 ± 2.5 mg/100 g FW), gallic acid (68.5 ± 12.4 mg/100 g FW) and (-)-epicatechin (43.0 ± 3.0 mg/100 g FW) and showed high TPC and antioxidant activity. Vitamin C content of dry baobab pulp and 10% juice (w/v) was retained during heat treatment by microwaving and pasteurisation (72 °C, 15 s) respectively. However vitamin C level in pasteurised juice significantly decreased during storage compared to untreated control, suggesting the demand for advanced processing methods including non-thermal pasteurisation. Seed liquor enhanced phenolic compounds in the juice but its influence on vitamin C needs further investigation. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) of 1H NMR data produced distinct clusters separated according to treatment and storage conditions. For HTST and CAHTST juice samples, the most important accumulating metabolites were fructose, glucose and galacturonic acid, while sucrose decreased over time. The more rapid production of ethanol in UT juice is a clear indication that pasteurisation of juice alone or in combination with the addition of citric acid can minimise fermentation in baobab juice. Results from this study will enhance understanding of composition of baobab fruit products and promote development of quality novel functional foods to tackle malnutrition as well as expand market opportunities for Malawi.

This research examined opinions of local law enforcement agencies’ patrol officers in the State of Georgia regarding preparedness and expectations for handling of digital evidence. The increased criminal use of technology requires that patrol officers be prepared to handle digital evidence in many different situations. The researcher’s goal was to gain insight into how patrol officers view their preparedness to handle digital evidence as well as their opinions on management expectations regarding patrol officers’ abilities to handle digital evidence. The research focused on identifying whether a gap existed between patrol officers’ opinions of digital evidence and the patrol officers’ views on what management expectations are for patrol officers handling digital evidence. Using a Web-based survey, the researcher collected data from 144 departments, 407 individual patrol officers in four strata across the State of Georgia. The analysis of the data found that most patrol officers handle digital evidence in at least some situations. The patrol officers’ opinions stated that most understood management expectations for handling of digital evidence and felt those expectations were realistic based on the officers’ current knowledge and training; therefore no significant gap was found. The patrol officers state that they need additional training in order to stay up to date with the current and future needs for handling existing and new technology.

Att spara tid och resurser är något som är av stor vikt i dagens byggbransch. Ju snabbare ett arbete utförs desto mer pengar tjänar företaget. I detta examensarbete har författarna tittat på effektivisering av ritningshanteringen i olika delar av byggbranschen. Att kunna hitta bland ritningarna på ett enklare sätt och att slippa sortera ut gamla ritningar när nya kommer in, är något som skulle förenkla ritningshanteringen och snabba upp tempot. Författarna har tittat på programmet DDR – Databas för Detaljer och Ritningar, som de anser kan förenkla ritningshanteringen. Under arbetets gång har intervjuer hållits med olika personer inom byggbranschen för att se förbättringsmöjligheter och nyttan av ett sådant program. Resultatet av arbetet visar att programmet DDR skulle göra mest nytta på byggarbets-platser och inom förvaltning då det är inom dessa områden som ritningshantering utförs mest. Programmet DDR kan förkorta tiden det tar att bläddra bland ritningar med uppskattningsvis 25 % enligt de intervjuade på byggarbetsplatserna, vilket skulle kunna innebära en markant skillnad i det dagliga arbetet. Om övergång sker helt till digitala ritningar 1 skulle behovet av att sortera ritningar elimineras och ännu mer tid kan sparas. För att göra så stor skillnad som möjligt på dagens marknad måste de förbättringar som framkommit under intervjuerna utvecklas till programmet DDR. Som det är idag saknas många funktioner vilket gör att konstruktionsföretagen inte vill använda programmet DDR på grund av avsaknaden av möjlighet att lägga in egna detaljer. Förvaltning anser bland annat att flera viktiga mät- och ritfunktioner saknas i programmet DDR för att vilja använda det. Kalkylerare och kommuner ser ingen framtid alls för programmet DDR inom deras verksamhet. Undervisning på högskola och i produktion på byggarbetsplatser anser att bland annat zoomningen och panorering måste göras enklare, trots detta är de intresserade av att använda programmet DDR.Saving time and resources is something that is very important in construction business today. The faster a work can be done the more money a company can make. In this degree project the authors have looked at the process of handling construction drawings in different parts of the construction industry. To be able to find the construction drawings in an easier way and not have to sort out old construction drawings when new arrive is something that may simplify and speed up the process. The authors have looked at the application DDR – Database for Details and Drawings, which they consider could simplify the process of handling construction drawings. During this degree project, interviews have been done with different people in the construction industry to see possibilities of improvement and benefits of the application DDR. The result of the degree project shows that this application would make the most difference on construction sites and within management of buildings since these are the ones that handle construction drawings on a daily basis. Application DDR can shorten the time used for handling of construction drawings by approximately a 25% decrease according to the interviewed at the construction sites; this would make a great difference in the daily work. If they only use digital construction drawings, the needs to sort out old construction drawings when new ones arrived, will be eliminated and more time can be saved. To do as much of a difference as possible on today’s market the improvements that have emerged during the interviews have to be developed to the application DDR. As it is today there are many features that are missing which make that the construction companies won’t use the application due to the lack of possibility to add details on their own. Management of buildings considers that there are several important functions such as measuring and drawing that are missing to use the application DDR. Within calculation engineering and municipalities there is no future for the application DDR. Education at college and in the production of construction sites consider that zooming and panning must be made simpler, despite this they are interested in using the program DDR.

Commissioning of HVAC systems has potential for significant improvements in occupant satisfaction, comfort and energy consumption, but is very labour-intensive and expensive as practiced at this time. Previous investigators have capitalized on digital control systems' capability of logging and storing data and of interfacing with external computers for open loop control by developing methods of automated fault detection and diagnosis during normal operation. Some investigators have also considered the application of this technique in commissioning. This thesis investigates the possibility of utilizing first principles and empirical models of air-handling unit components to represent correct operation of the unit during commissioning. The models have parameters whose values can be determined from engineering design intent information contained in the construction drawings and other data available at commissioning time. Quasi-dynamic models are developed and tested. The models are tested against design intent information and also against data from a real system operating without known faults. The results show the models agree well with the measured data except for some false positive indications, particularly in the damper and fan models, during transients. A procedure for estimating uncertainty in the instrumentation and the models is developed. The models are also tested against artificial faults and are able to detect all of the faults. Methods of diagnosing the faults are discussed.

Information technology evidence consists of a mix of representations of various applications of digital electronic equipment, and can be brought to the fore in all contexts that result in legal decisions. The occurrence of such evidence in legal proceedings, and other legal decision-making, is a phenomenon previously not researched within legal science in Sweden. The thesis examines some of the consequences resulting from the occurrence of information technology evidence within Swedish practical legal and judicial decision-making. The thesis has three main focal points. The first consists of a broad identification of legal problems that information technology evidence entails. The second focal point examines the legal terminology associated with information technology evidence. The third focal point consists of identifying sources of error pertaining to information technology evidence from the adjudicator’s point of view. The examination utilizes a Swedish legal viewpoint from a perspective of the public trust in courts. Conclusions include a number of legal problems in several areas, primarily in regards to the knowledge of the adjudicator, the qualification of different means of evidence and the consequences of representational evidence upon its evaluation. In order to properly evaluate information technology evidence, judges are – to a greater extent than for other types of evidence – in need of (objective) knowledge supplementary to that provided by parties and their witnesses and experts. Furthermore, the current Swedish evidence terminology has been identified as a complex of problems in and of itself. The thesis includes suggestions on certain additions to this terminology. Several sources of error have been identified as being attributable to different procedures associated with the handling of information technology evidence, in particular in relation to computer forensic investigations. There is a general need for future research focused on matters regarding both standards of proof for and evaluation of information technology evidence. In addition, a need for deeper legal scientific studies aimed at evidence theory has been identified, inter alia regarding the extent to which frequency theories are applicable in respect to information technology evidence. The need for related further discussions on future emerging areas such as negative evidence and predictive evidence are foreseen.

Elektroniska underskrifter är en relativt ny metod för att ingå bindande avtal. Tanken med tekniken är att den ska effektivisera, förenkla och öka säkerheten för användarna vid ingående av avtal. Det kan dock uppstå problem när lagstiftning anpassas till att reglera ny teknik, eftersom det är viktigt att lagstiftaren fortsätter att ta hänsyn till de skyddsintressen som ligger bakom gällande rätt. Denna uppsats belyser och diskuterar rättsliga hinder som föreligger vid användandet av elektroniska underskrifter, vid upprättande av de tre, privaträttsligt mest vanliga, rättshandlingarna som kräver en viss form för giltighet: överlåtelse av fast egendom, upprättande av testamente eller äktenskapsförord. Uppsatsen utreder hur den nya EU-förordningen eIDAS ((EU) nr 910/2014) har påverkat svenska myndigheters förhållningssätt till elektroniska underskrifter och elektroniska handlingar. Från presumtionen att det var fysiska handlingar som krävdes, om inte särskilda regler godkände elektroniska rutiner, till att elektroniska rutiner gäller om inte särskilda formkrav förbjuder det. Vidare förklaras förenklat tekniken bakom avancerade- och kvalificerade signaturer samt elektroniska dokument. Formkraven för skriftlighet, underskrift, bevittning och registrering och de skyddsintressen som ligger bakom dessa analyseras. Formkraven till ovan nämnda rättshandlingar kan till viss del tillgodoses med elektroniska signaturer och dokument, men i dagsläget krävs det en fysisk underskrift för att göra ovan nämnda rättshandlingar giltiga, på grund av den tolkning av begreppet underskrift som har gjorts i Ds 2003:29. Vidare analyseras hur sakrätten, rent teoretiskt, skulle kunna förändras genom en potentiell lagändring eller om en ny tolkning av begreppet underskrift medför att elektroniska signaturer kan användas vid överlåtelse av fast egendom. I uppsatsen diskuteras även de förtjänster och risker som en lagändring skulle kunna innebära, och hur dessa bör vägas mot varandra, för att sedan konstatera om en ökad implementering av elektroniska rutiner är önskvärd eller inte.

Partical Swarm Algorithm (PSA) naturally is a unconstrained biocomputational optimization. In recent publications, several indirect constraints treatments were proposed named constrained partical swarm optimization (CPSO).The present thesis simulates birds flock communication to develop the information substitution strategy in treating constraints. This approach can gradually convert the infeasible individual becomes the feasible individual by refering the information of globally effective individual. The presenting strategy can be categorized to a direct method of constraints handling. Another approach presented here in is a modification of non-dominating strategy. The idea is that all constraints are transformed to an additional single objective, then non-dominating sorting technique can be applied. At the end, pareto front will converge to zero value of additional objective. Illustrative numerical examples shows that the proposed two approaches of constraint handling are effective and reliable for engineering optimization. Microthermal actuator is broadly used in MEMS, it has large power output and is easy to manufacture. It can be adapted for grasping human cell, however the 35°C is the high temperature limit on the grasping point. This thesis provides the optimum structural design by using CPSO proposed in the thesis with the aid finite of element analysis ANSYS.

There is a growing global recognition as to the importance of outlawing malicious computer related acts in a timely manner, yet few organisations have the legal and technical resources necessary to address the complexities of adapting criminal statutes to cyberspace. Literature reviewed in this study suggests that a coordinated, public-private partnership to produce a model approach can help reduce potential dangers arising from the inadvertent creation of cybercrime havens. It is against this backdrop that the study seeks to develop a digital forensic readiness model (DFRM) using a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach, involving both the public and private sectors, thus enabling organisations to reduce potential dangers arising from the inadvertent destruction and negating of evidentiary data which, in turn, results in the non-prosecution of digital crimes.
The thesis makes use of 10 hypotheses to address the five research objectives, which are aimed at investigating the problem statement. This study constitutes qualitative research and adopts the post-modernist approach. The study begins by investigating each of the 10 hypotheses, utilising a systematic literature review and interviews, followed by a triangulation of findings in order to identify and explore common themes and strengthen grounded theory results. The output from the latter process is used as a theoretical foundation towards the development of a DFRM model which is then
validated and verified against actual case law. Findings show that a multidisciplinary approach to digital forensic readiness can aid in preserving the integrity of evidentiary data within an organisation. The study identifies three key domains and their critical components. The research then demonstrates how the interdependencies between the domains and their respective components can enable organisations to identify and manage vulnerabilities which may contribute to the inadvertent destruction and negating of evidentiary data. The Multidisciplinary Digital Forensic Readiness Model (M-DiFoRe) provides a proactive approach to creating and improving organizational digital forensic readiness. This study contributes to the greater body of knowledge in digital forensics in that it reduces complexities associated with achieving digital forensic readiness and streamlines the handling of digital evidence within an organisation.Information Science
