Abstract:
In 2011, when the new curriculum was presented, digital tools were included as a centralcontent and mainly in terms of music creation (Skolverket, 2011). The purpose of this study isto find out how music teachers use digital learning tools and how the digital learning toolsaffect them in their teaching.I have done a qualitative survey and the informants were all members of the Facebook group"Musiklärarna". There were 60 music teachers in the F-9 and upper secondary school from allover Sweden who participated in the study.The result shows that many of the respondents use digital technology. However, not all themusic teachers follows the syllabus for music (Lgr11) where it appears that the students willdevelop their ability to use digital tools for sound and music creation (grade 4-6) and digitaltools for music creation, recording and processing (grade 7-9) ( Skolverket, 2011).My conclusion is that more education is needed in digital technology for music teachers,mainly in music creation with digital tools. As a continuation of this study, it is interestingand relevant to do a research how music teachers around the country work with musiccreation.

Abstract:
In today’s highly digital world a great undertaking for organizations is the transformation of value processes from the classical analog to the modern digital. How and when does this transformation unfold and could digital innovations within sales processes be a driving force for this transformation. For companies striving to achieve such change how and when transformation is possible is an important question to answer. Drawing on extent research through Vial (2019) and Skog (2019) on digital transformation, we aim to answer this question with a multiple case study design covering five different organizations with ties to a consulting firm that provides digital innovation in the form of Search Engine Optimization, web-site development and sales process development. Using the assumption that the disruption has already happened and that companies need to be ambidextrous we analyze our empirical material through key constructs in Vial’s (2019) process model of digital transformation to get a broader understanding of how and when these innovation processes facilitates responses to environmental change by resulting in digital transformation. We find that within some of these organizations a digital transformation has happened through the innovation process, but we also find that some companies are hindered in the transformation by external variables

Abstract:

Abstract:

We are in an emerging digital society where we are increasingly dependent on the mastery of IT and digital technologies to better carry out our everyday tasks. They cover everything from keeping in touch with family and friends to pay bills and declare. At the same time there are those who have not learned how to use the new technology and live their lives outside of the digital society. What happens to these people, in a society that is becoming increasingly digitized? Do they take harm by being in digital exclusion? It looks like this are issues that will not become less important as digital technology constantly changes. Technology of the future will be equally undesirable for tomorrow's elderly as today's technology is undesirable for today’s elderly.

This research report looks at how to find a way to get those who involuntary find themselves in digital isolation to get an entry to digital use and become part of the digital society. The report makes use of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Senior Technology Acceptance & Adoption Model (STAM), models developed to predict whether users will accept or reject a system, to find out how you may be able to get users to want to use and learn a system.

In a study reminiscent of an experiment in which four participants with low experience in IT use has been testing a simple Content Management System (CMS), and started to use IT in their work, this report concludes that there are tendencies showing that workplace could be an interesting entrance when you are trying to create an interest in IT and digital technology in those who are in the digital exclusion.

Den här rapporten behandlar ett projekt utfört i kandidatkursen TDDD96 - Kandidatprojekt i programvaruutveckling. Projektet är utfört av åtta studenter från datateknik- ochmjukvaruteknikprogrammen på Linköpings universitet (LiU) för kunden från institutionen för medicinsk teknik (IMT) på LiU. Syftet med projektet var att ta fram en prototypmed ett grafiskt gränssnitt för uppvisning och simulering av hur kroppen påverkas av t.ex.träning, sömn och kostintag. Modellerna som simulerats är framtagna av forskningsgrup-pen integrativ system biologi för institutionen för medicinsk teknik LiU och resultatet är i form av dataändringar och grafer i programmets gränssnit.

Abstract:
Studiens syfte var att undersöka vilken kompetens HR-anställda innehar kopplat till digital HR, vilka kunskaper de efterfrågar för att möta digitalisering och hur Personalvetarprogram matchar arbetsmarknaden. Metoden hade en kvalitativ ansats och empirin inhämtades genom semistrukturerade intervjuer. I studien deltog fem informanter, tre från offentlig sektor och två från privatsektor. Informanterna valdes ut genom ett målinriktat urval. Resultatet analyserades med hjälp av tematiseringen kopplat mot studiens tidigare forskning.Resultatet förmedlar en intressant utveckling som är både positiv och utmanande. HR anställda har idag överlag för låg kunskap för att möta digitaliseringens utveckling.Förändringen innebär fler digitala HR-verktyg, mer specialiserade roller och ökade kunskapskrav. Det leder till en utmaning som vi genomgående kommer tillbaka till. Hur organisationer på arbetsmarknaden ska kompetensförsörja sina HR-avdelningar. Det insamlade materialet visar att generisk kunskap om digital HR och dess system blir avgörande och att utbildningssystemet måste utvecklas i högre takt än vad det gör idag.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka digitalisering och digital transformation i den svenska skolan. För att besvara detta har syftet delats upp i tre forskningsfrågor: ​Hur arbetar svenska skolan med digitalisering och digital transformation utifrån ett förändringsperspektiv? Hur kan digitalisering och digital transformation av den svenska skolan förstås utifrån begreppet digital mognad? Vilka faktorer är viktiga för digital mognad inom svenska skolan? ​Denna studies design är utformad utifrån en fallstudie. Metoden som applicerats för detta arbete är dokumentstudie, där endast offentliga dokument av vetenskaplig karaktär valts ut. För datainsamlingen så har även en sökstrategi formulerats samt ett urval gjorts av dokumenten, för att kunna hitta relevant information inom området som studerats. Resultatet visar att digitala satsningar har genomförts inom den svenska skolan som till exempel ett till ett-satsningen​, i​ntroduceringen av digitala skrivtavlor i undervisningen och utvecklandet av lärplattformar. Den digitala mognaden har under detta förändringsarbete varit medelhög, men behöver utvecklas för att följa med i utvecklingen. Viktiga faktorer för digital mognad som går att identifiera för att digitalisera och genomföra digital transformation i skolan är: en tydlig vision till om vad skolan vill uppnå, konkreta strategier för hur visionen ska uppnås, tillgängliga stödfunktioner för medarbetare att utnyttja samt slutligen även kompetensutveckling och utbildningsmöjligheter för lärare att ta del av före, under och efter förändringsarbetet.
The purpose and aim of this study is to examine how the Swedish school works towards digitalization and digital transformation of their educational system. To be able to answer the purpose of this study, the research questions have been deconstructed in three parts: How does the Swedish school work with digitalization and digital transformation from a change perspective? How can this be understood based on the concept digital maturity? Which factors are important based on digital maturity for the Swedish school? ​The design of this study is based on a case study. The methodology for this study has been a document study, where public documents have been the main source for information. To be able to allocate the documents needed for the study, a search strategy has been formulated as well as criterias for selection to find relevant information. The result of the study shows that investments in digital technology have been conducted in different forms. Some examples of this is one computer to every student and teacher, digital whiteboards and digital learning platforms. The digital maturity in the Swedish school, during these organization changes, has had a middle high level of digital maturity and it is necessary to improve this to be able to tackle upcoming changes and obstacles. Important factors the study could identify was: that it is essential that there is a vision in place for what the digitalization of the Swedish school aim to achieve. Based on the vision, there needs to be strategies on how to achieve it. There is also a necessity for support systems to be in place and finally there has to be competence development as well as opportunities for the staff to get training for their digital competence before, during and after the changing process.

I mars 2017 beslutade den svenska regeringen att förstärka och förtydliga den digitala kompetensen i styrdokumenten för skolan, från förskolenivå till gymnasienivå. Detta innebar en förstärkt skyldighet som lärare att undervisa på ett sätt som främjar elevernas digitala kompetens. Denna uppsats tar sin utgångspunkt i vad nationella och internationella styrdokument har betonat gällande digital kompetens och en digitalisering av skolan. Uppsatsen första frågeställning berör hur IKT används i undervisningen och vad det finns för möjligheter och utmaningar kopplade till användandet av IKT i undervisningen. Den andra frågeställningen undersöker hur läsförståelsen påverkas när man går ifrån den traditionella pappersläsningen till att börja läsa mer digitalt då allt fler elever får egna datorer och läsplattor. Slutsatser som dras i denna uppsats är att det finns en diskrepans mellan policy- och implementeringsnivå. Då digital kompetens förstärks på policynivå utan att lärarna på implementeringsnivå har fått tillräckligt med stöd och utbildning för att kunna klara av detta uppdrag på ett tillfredställande sätt. Trots att det finns många möjligheter kopplade till användandet av IKT i undervisningen, så når detta användande inte sin fulla potential då användandet kantras av flera utmaningar. Avslutningsvis så visar forskningen motstridiga resultat gällande hur läsförståelsen påverkas av att läsa digitalt. Det tycks se ut som att i bästa fall så blir läsförståelsen oförändrad och i värsta fall att läsförståelsen påverkas negativt av att läsa digitalt.

Uppsatsens syfte är att få en djupare förståelse för fenomenet digital detox och hur problem knutna till det alltmer digitalt uppkopplade samhället framställs samt hur dessa är tänkta att lösas inom detox-trenden. Följande frågeställningar är utformade för att besvara syftet: 1. Hur framställs problem knutna till det alltmer digitalt uppkopplade samhället inom digital detoxtrenden? 2. Hur är dessa problem tänkta att lösas? Det vill säga, vad innebär det egentligen att göra en digital detox? Uppsatsens teoretiska ramverk kretsar runt det accelererande samhället samt de effekter som de digitala medierna har inneburit för människan. Däribland redogörs det för upplevelsen av tid, tidspress, medierad interaktion och digital bundenhet. Studien genomfördes med en deltagande observation på digital detox-lägret Villa Insikt i norra Sverige den 17-19 november 2017. Materialet består bland annat av en intervju med kursledaren, informella samtal med densamme och övriga deltagare, fältanteckningar samt analys av broschyrer och lägrets hemsida. Resultatet visar att digitala medier, enligt detox-lägret, har inneburit en rad olika problem för människor. Trots detta ges inga konstruktiva förslag för hur dessa problem ska lösas. Uppsatsens huvudsakliga slutsats är således att detoxen enbart fungerar som ett konstaterande över att människors bundenhet och förhållningssätt till de digitala medierna är problematisk samt att detoxen inte innebär någon större förändring för deltagarna som istället individuellt måste försöka att lösa de problem som detoxen påvisar genom insikt och digital strategi.

Allt fler samhällstjänster digitaliseras och människor måste anpassas efter samhällets digitala utveckling. Detta är en fallstudie där syftet är att undersöka hur verksamheten Skånetrafiken arbetar för att motverka digitalt utanförskap, samtidigt ge ökad förståelse för begreppet digitalt utanförskap. Teorin som använts i denna studie hämtades från litteratur inom digitalt utanförskap. Den bygger på forskaren Jan Van Dijks forskning om digitalt utanförskap, där teorin syftar till att förklara de olika nivåerna i digitalt utanförskap. Undersökningen bygger på en kvalitativ intervjustudie där fem intervjuer har utförts med anställda från Skånetrafiken. Utifrån detta har flera faktorer identifierats i Skånetrafikens arbetssätt som främjar digital inkludering. Vidare har ett teoretiskt bidrag utvecklats fram för hur organisationer bör arbeta för att motverka digitalt utanförskap. Det teoretiska bidraget är ett resultat framtaget utifrån det konceptuella ramverket och studien om Skånetrafiken.
More and more community services are being digitized and people must adapt to society's digital development. This is a case study in purpose to investigate how Skånetrafiken works to counter digital exclusion, while at the same time trying to increase understanding of the concept digital exclusion. The theory used in this study was derived from literature on digital exclusion. It is based on Jan Van Dijk's research on digital exclusion, where the theory aims to explain the different levels of digital exclusion. The case is based on a qualitative interview study where five interviews have been conducted with employees from Skånetrafiken. Based on this, several factors have been identified in Skånetrafiken's working methods that promote digital inclusion. Furthermore, a theoretical contribution has been developed for how organizations should work to counter digital exclusion. The theoretical contribution is a result derived from the conceptual framework and the study of Skånetrafiken.

This bachelor thesis is based on a internship on IBM Sweden within Södertörn University’s bachelor program ’IT, Media and Design’ during the spring semester of 2016, majoring Media technology. The thesis is based on a practical work, which treats the company’s digital presence where I, as a student, stepped in and helped the marketing and communication department. I’ve done a survey of their Swedish digital channels, and business intelligence where I’ve collected details about the Nordic IBM companies digital channel structure and linking between accounts. Maintenance of the Swedish IBMs social media accounts have also been included such as development of an suggestion of an digital ecosystem for future work with the company's digital presence. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva och synliggöra lärares användning av digitala verktyg inom bildämnet på högstadiet och gymnasiet, samt undersöka om bildlärares digitala kompetens kan påverka elevernas digitala kompetensutveckling. För att fullgöra syftet har följande forskningsfrågor formulerats: vilka digitala verktyg och program används i bildundervisning och på vilket sätt? Och hur ser bildlärare på sin digitala kompetens? Studiens teoretiska angreppsätt innefattar ett sociokulturellt perspektiv med fokus på artefakter. Studien är kvalitativ och metoden som används är för insamling material är semistrukturerade frågeformulär och intervjuer. Deltagarna som medverkat i studien är tre gymnasiebildlärare, tre högstadiebildlärare och Hans Örtegren som är Universitetslektor vid institutionen för estetiska ämnen på Umeå Universitet. Resultatet visar att samtliga bildlärare är positiva till digitala verktyg och vill stärka sin digitala kompetens. Däremot finns det skillnader som gör att några bildlärare inte har lika bra förutsättningar i form av resurser vad gäller digitala verktyg. Avslutningsvis diskuteras resurser i form av tid, ekonomi och hur förutsättningar med digitala verktyg och lärares digitala kompetens kan påverka utvecklingen av elevers digitala kompetens och lärande.

This thesis introduces digital materials by analogy with digital computation and digital communications. Traditional fabrication techniques include pick-and-place, roll-to-roll, molding, patterning and more. Current research in fabrication includes algorithmic assembly [3], programmed assembly[9], self-assembly[1,2], assembly by folding [4] as well as guided self-assembly [2]. While these research areas are studying means of fabrication, here we introduce the study of the digital materials they assemble. Moreover we present a new type of three-dimensional digital printer for use with functional digital materials. Most importantly, the digital materials are shown to be tuneable; the code describing a digital material allows one to predict and adjust the properties of the material itself. In the same 'way digital communications and computation are discrete in the code space, digital fabrication is discrete in the physical space. Just as digital communications enabled cheap long-distance communications and digital computation enabled cheap,universal and efficient computers, digital fabrication enables cheap, efficient and universal fabrication. Building digitally will reduce the complexity of the assembler and can produce a wider variety of objects for a smaller cost.

Currently law is challenging of regulation protection of the main currency – information. Vast amount of significant as well as sensitive information is being collected cheaply and efficiently stored and analysed. Law has to comply with technological changes and human rights. It becomes more and more difficult for law-makers to follow technology changes and ensure that law is effective in securing the right to privacy, to protect personal data and the freedom of expression. Today’s era of social transformation also includes living in a digital age, which relates in particular to the use of computer technology. According to the Internet World Stats Data, in 1995 there were 16 million Internet users, 0.4% of World’s Population, in 2017 51.7% of the world’s population were internet users and in October 2020 there were 4,929 billion Internet users, 63.2% of World’s Population. The numbers have expanded in a short time and the internet continues to grow day by day. Internet users openly create profiles, provides sensitive personal information, i.e. marital status, sexual orientation, and reveal their locations. They pay for seemingly free services with their data and trade privacy for services.

This paper is a literature review exploring previous research on digital learning at school and the competence required both of teachers and pupils. Furthermore, it aims to point out advantages and disadvantages of digital tools in teaching at school by focusing on foreign language teaching. Previous studies indicate that using digital tools in school help to individualize teaching in order to consider the pupils’ individual needs in learning. Recent studies document as well that the teachers’ well-conceived teaching designs are important for target-aimed learning success. According to referred literature should teaching with help of media not replace the teacher in class but rather accompany it. There is however not much research related to digital multimedia schoolbooks which aim to cover all content in a subject. This paper presents two digital schoolbooks for German at Swedish schools in reference to underlying didactic parameters and in comparison, to digital tools. The paper refers both German and Swedish perspectives on digital learning. Finally, the paper deals with the question how far school providers are prepared to implement digital learning at school in order to fulfil their own ambitions.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to look at how digital career counseling works in Sweden and if it needs to evolve. The digital and global world we live in today calls for a change in approach, this includes career counseling. Because of Covid-19 more schools and workplaces have had to implement digital solutions. Two questions were chosen:•What advantages and disadvantages can be found with the implementation of digital career counseling?•What can career counselors do to create an appropriate environment and good relationships with the clients in a digital context?Theories taken into account are communication, context, career counseling models, the professional dialogue, the career counselor’s skills and the possibility of anonymity. The method was a qualitative one, with semi-structured interviews for which the respondents was selected based on expertise and knowledge. The result showed that there was no big difference between career counseling in a traditional context compared to a digital one. The difference lied in making sure the technology works and knowing that the non-verbal communication might deteriorate. The main differences was managing the technology, controlling the environment seen through the camera, and awareness that the non-verbal communication might deteriorate. Another discovery was that anonymity in the form of having the choice of turning on the camera was a positive thing, where people open up easier.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the conditions of new employees during a digital onboarding process and the effects the digital format have on the results of the onboarding process. We performed a qualitative case study with semi-structured interviews. The study was conducted in an IT department in the public sector that worked consciously with a formal onboarding structure and whose work was mainly carried out remotely during COVID-19. We found that the organization succeeds well in communicating resources and information about the organization digitally and that the biggest challenges lay in communicating organizational culture, social connections and informal knowledge in distributed work. When new employees find it difficult to create interpersonal connectivity, they lose informal knowledge and social support that had been available for on-site work, which also leads to difficulties in understanding the organizational culture. Based on our results, we recommend increased work with social meeting points to enable interpersonal connectivity and informal information exchange, compilation of common systems, programs and abbreviations for new employees to more quickly understand the organization's language, increased work with pre-onboarding to use the important first time to strengthen employee experience and more opportunities for concrete practice together with, for example, a mentor or colleagues to more quickly acquire knowledge and get a clearer picture of what is expected in the new work role and informal knowledge in distributed work.

Digital media have become an integral part of many people’s everyday lives and constitute an intimate presence therein. Utilizing the concept of digital intimacy to focus on these recent developments, this doctoral dissertation takes the perspectives of feminist cultural studies and affect theory to analyze how digital media are becoming more intimate and how in turn intimacy is remediated within digital cultures. This research brings together three different strategic examples of digital intimacy. The first is chosen from the context of online hate and harassment, and works to counteract digital forms of intimidation. The second is from the world of software development training initiatives tailored for women and designed to make them digitally intimate. The third investigates the digital subculture around ASMR (‘autonomous sensory meridian response’), which is an intimate multi-sensory stimulation induced by such things as online video clips. It is argued that these three initiatives are good illustrations of contemporary gender relations in digital cultures, and also do digital media differently. This  means that they develop and apply sometimes straightforward, sometimes rather playful strategies to counteract gender-based inimicalities (such as forms of discrimination or exclusion, or objectification) within digital cultures. The thesis argues that such digitally intimate strategies can be utilized analytically in order to contribute to contemporary feminist internet politics.
Digitala medier har blivit en integrerad del av och en intim närvaro i många människors vardag. Med hjälp av begreppet digital intimitet, som tar dessa förändringar på allvar, analyserar denna avhandling hur digitala medier blir mer intima och hur intimitet remedieras i digitala kulturer. Detta görs utifrån perspektiv hämtade från feministiska kulturstudier och affektteori. Tre olika strategiska exempel på digital intimitet diskuteras. Det första exemplet hanterar näthat och trakasserier online och utgör ett slags  motståndsstrategier. Det andra handlar om utbildningsinitiativ inom programmering riktade till kvinnor, ämnade att ge kvinnor större digital tillgång, närhet och närvaro. Det tredje fallet undersöker den digitala subkulturen kring ASMR (’autonomous sensory meridian response’), en intim multi-sensorisk stimulering som ofta understöds av videoklipp online. Det hävdas här att dessa strategiska exempel, först och främst, synliggör samtida genusrelationer i digitala kulturer, men även visar hur digitala medier gör genus på nya sätt. Med detta menas att i medierna både bevaras genuskonventioner och tillämpas nya, ibland lekfulla strategier för att motverka könsrelaterad fientlighet inom digitala kulturer. Avhandlingen hävdar att de tre studerade strategierna för digital intimitet kan användas analytiskt för att bidra till en samtida feministisk internetpolitik.

This thesis seeks to define what the research refers to as digital risk. Risk in the making of an artifact was mostly eliminated with Fordist principles of manufacturing and efficiency. However, in a post-digital era, these principles no longer fully apply. Although mass-customization and micro-manufacturing still do not rival large industry, the process is demonstrating promise. The shifting to customization allows designers now to reengage in the production of custom artifacts with the aid of digital applications and fabrication techniques. Digital fabrication has been researched and is continuing to develop, but the unique post-digital question of this thesis is how risk, an element all but eliminated from our process, can be reintroduced productively. Intentionally taking risks while working with digital applications does yield results not otherwise achieved. This thesis demonstrates that digital risk is a valuable principle within post-digital processes. The experiment in this thesis, Digital Ceramic Risk (Section 4), explores the entanglement of the post-digital and post-human condition by examining risk through the crafting of a hybridized digital and physically made artifact. These experiments were conducted in three phases. Phase one profiles the creation of a digital tool that enabled hybridized manual and digital ceramic printing. Using this 3D printer, the research Identified risk variables through documented tests. Variables such as material failure, tool failure, and digital errors were tracked and analyzed. Phase two demonstrates a high level of skill and craft through the use of hybridized methods. By applying the identified risk factors from Phase one, the outcomes of the experiments generated newly crafted forms that otherwise would not have been realized through an only digital process. Phase three demonstrated optimized printing skills and craft through sustained practice and improved digital tools. The outcomes of this phase created a visually distinct collection of vessels. Each vessel was modified as it was printed to create a version of the control vessel that was digitally modeled, and that generated the g-code controlling the 3D printer. These improvised artifacts were re-digitized and dimensionally quantified into data. This data was encoded into an Artificial Intelligence (AI) database for the propagation of an infinite number of new vessels. This extension of the handmade object into an AI database is a human infusion into the post-human cybernetic network. The case studies and experiments contained within this thesis demonstrate how craftspeople can now both exist in the material world while still existing in the broader post-digital and post-human condition.

By qualitative interviews with four librarians this thesis examines howunderstandings of the term may vary and in turn lead to differenent educational goals, designsand executions. The result shows that basic computer- and Internetskills are seen as either equelto or prerequisites for digital participation and that the digital participant is seen as either apassive recipient or an active participant. The informants all advocate indivdual teaching,although they have different educational goals. The result also shows how technology andpedagogy are linked to individuals, not the profession, accordning to the informants.

Este estudo faz uma análise sobre a interatividade na televisão digital brasileira através do uso dos aplicativos digitais – aplicações transmitidas pelas emissoras juntamente com o conteúdo de áudio e vídeo e que, quando acionados pelos telespectadores, carregam sobre a tela da TV uma interface interativa. O corpus do trabalho é constituído pelos aplicativos mais representativos do Ginga/DTVi e das TVs conectadas, veiculados no período de setembro de 2009 a dezembro de 2011. Como apoio teórico, recorremos a autores como Williams (1974), Jenkins (2009), Wolton (2003), Cannito (2010) Manovich (2001) e Scolari (2008), entre outros. Considerando a televisão como um dispositivo comunicacional e as transformações dos meios de comunicação, em decorrência da era digital, observamos como os aplicativos digitais – com seus distintos níveis de interatividade e usabilidade de suas interfaces e com suas diferentes categorias de conteúdo – interferem na linguagem televisiva. A presente pesquisa também analisa que, com a plena implantação da TV digital brasileira, as aplicações interativas podem se tornar uma ferramenta para que o telespectador navegue pelos mais diversos conteúdos televisivos, principalmente no atual cenário no qual a audiência televisiva encontra-se cada vez mais fragmentada. Las organizaciones tradicionales de periódicos, al igual que los periodistas en África y en todo el mundo, están aprendiendo a adaptarse y aceptar la nueva realidad tecnológica. Si bien la revolución de Internet en África sigue evolucionando, ha creado oportunidades y desafíos que están redefiniendo la forma en que los periódicos, los periodistas y la audiencia acceden y difunden información. Esta investigación examina el impacto de la transición digital en los periodistas de los periódicos de África que utilizan Nigeria y Sudáfrica como estudios de caso. Revisa el efecto y la creciente importancia de Internet, los periódicos en línea y las redes sociales, en la configuración del futuro del periodismo impreso, el negocio de los periódicos y la interacción de la audiencia en ambos países. La investigación sostiene que los nuevos medios están redefiniendo el periodismo en Nigeria y Sudáfrica. The Internet is changing how people in Africa and around the world communicate. It has also greatly impacted the way the media operates. In many countries, people are depending less and less on the traditional media (newspapers, magazines, radio, television) for information and communication. Traditional newspaper organisations as we l as journalists in Africa and around the world are learning to adapt and come to terms with the new technological reality. While the Internet revolution in Africa is still evolving, it has created opportunities and challenges that are redefining the way newspapers, journalists and the audience access and disseminate information. This research examines the impact of the digital transition on newspaper journalists in Africa using Nigeria and South Africa as case studies. It reviews the effect and growing importance of the Internet, online newspapers and social media, in shaping the future of print journalism, the newspaper business and audience interaction in both countries. The research argues hat new media is redefining journalism in Nigeria and South Africa. It has not only created new kinds of journalists and audience who are no longer passive receptors of news, it has thrown up new business models for the news industry facing severe glut. The research concludes that this change has clear and far - Reaching implications for journalists as well as newspapers and their audience; that if journalists in Nigeria and South Africa are aware of the importance and disruptions wrought by the new phase in the evolution of the media, there is still missing a coherent formula in dealing with the challenges and that there are a lot of factors some beyond the purview of journalists that are shaping their reaction.

Digital technology has made great progress in a relatively short time, which has led to new needs emerging to take advantage of the opportunities provided thanks to the digitization of society. The digital progress has resulted in teaching conditions being changed. The curriculum standards that all pupils should have equal opportunities to be good democratic citizens, demand today that digital competence needs to be provided to pupils. In the revised curriculum for the subject of mathematics it is written that mathematical activities must be linked to digital progress. It also says in the aim of the subject that teaching should give pupils the opportunities to develope knowledge of using digital tools. The result of the study states that the pupils´digital competence is of great significance for their development in mathematics when using digital tools and digital learning recources. The result also shows that one needs to compensate for pupils´previous knowledge regarding digital competence.
Den digitala tekniken har på relativt kort tid gjort stora framsteg, det har lett till att det uppstått nya behov för att ta tillvara på de möjligheter som ges tack vare samhällets digitalisering. Den digitala utvecklingen har gjort att förutsättningarna för undervisning har förändrats. Läroplanskravet att alla elever ska få likvärdiga förutsättningar att vara fullvärdiga demokratiska medborgare gör att lärare idag behöver ge eleverna en digital kompetens. I den reviderade läroplanen för ämnet matematik står det att de matematiska aktiviteterna ska vara kopplade till den digitala utvecklingen. Det står också i ämnets syfte att undervisningen ska utveckla kunskaper i användandet av digitala verktyg. Resultatet av studien visar att elevernas digitala kompetens har stor betydelse för deras utveckling i matematiken vid användandet av digitala verktyg och digitala lärresurser. Resultatet visar även att lärare behöver kompensera för elevers olika förkunskaper gällande digital kompetens.

This thesis is interdisciplinary in its methodology, sources and final delivery. The first part sets out the theoretical background, exploring the relationships between technology and literary artefacts. This section owes a great debt of theory to both textual criticism and the various schools of writing science (psychology, anthropology, linguistics, history of communication). Working from different perspectives, scholars such as Gianfranco Contini and G.R. Cardona have unfolded the cognitive and epistemological relevance of writers’ artefacts: variant texts, writing sketches, autographs, brouillons d’écriture, et. The different stages of writing can help us to reconstruct the original path that leads an author to a final text. Cognitive processes of the kind analysed in current research literature are naturally exhibited in the sequence of material produced by writers in their work. It we digitise these documents, and make them available through an electronic network (i.e. the World Wide Web), everybody will have the opportunity to observe the “writing kitchen” and learn how authors work. The second part of the thesis describes the history, methodology and content of the online digital archive developed by Edinburgh University Italian Department for the purpose of studying and teaching the writing process. The archive and web site (www.selc.ed.ac.uk/italian/digitialvariants), which are regularly enriched and updated, at present hold original texts and multimedia documents by and on Vincenzo Cerami, Francesa Sanvitale, Roberto Vacca, Angel Garcia Galiano, Francisco Solano, and Fernando Savater. The aims of the electronic project are: a) to create a literary hypermedia archive accessible to everyone via the Internet; b) to investigate the methodological possibilities of the Web for producing critical editions of modern and contemporary authors: c) to collect, analyse and publish information on the writing process; d) to take advantage of these materials in teaching Italian as a second language. This last possibility was explored in the Italian Department, where in 1997 we organised an introductory course in textual analysis using some of the variants, requiring the students to use the resources available online. The results were encouraging: I believe that Web teaching environments, especially if reinforced with appropriate computer-training sessions for students, can open new practical and theoretical scenarios in the field of second language writing acquisition.

Ett förnyande av förskolans läroplan (Skolverket, 2018) där begreppen undervisning och digital kompetens skrevs in och förtydligades ledde oss till frågor om vad kan det innebära att arbeta med digitala verktyg i förskolan och hur den nya digitala tekniken tas emot av förskollärare. Denna studie undersöker förskollärares attityder till digitala verktyg som en del av förskolans undervisning och om förskollärares ålder påverkar inställningen till de digitala verktygen. Genom en kvantitativ enkätstudie där 89 verksamma förskollärare deltog sammanställdes deras svar. I denna studie vill vi beskriva och undersöka om det går att synliggöra olika samband vilket utfördes genom korstabeller.  Resultatet av denna studie visar att förskollärares ålder och synen på den egna digitala kompetensen inte påverkar användandet av digitala verktyg i någon större utsträckning. Förskollärares attityd till att arbeta med digitala verktyg i förskolans undervisning är positiv då många använder digitala verktyg i sin undervisning och ganska ofta. I studiens resultat framgår det att förskollärare överlag tycker att digitala verktyg kan ha en positiv inverkan i barns språkutveckling. En möjlig generationsklyfta blir inte synlig i denna studie då resultatet påvisar att det inte finns någon större skillnad mellan förskollärares ålder och hur förskollärare skattar sin egen digitala kompetens.

Os avanços tecnológicos impõem um grande desafio para a preservação do patrimônio digital. Além de garantir a longevidade e acessibilidade dos documentos, é necessário mantê-los autênticos e íntegros para que os usuários confiem neles como fonte de informação e objeto de estudo. Instituições guardiãs precisam assumir a preservação de suas coleções digitais e construir repositórios digitais confiáveis. Este trabalho recorre a um estudo exploratório para conhecer as práticas de preservação da autenticidade e integridade dos documentos que compõem os acervos das bibliotecas digitais de teses e dissertações das três universidades estaduais paulistas (Universidade de São Paulo - USP, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio Mesquita Filho - Unesp e Universidade Estadual de Campinas - Unicamp). As práticas dessas universidades demonstram a necessidade de melhorias para que elas sejam efetivamente capazes de assumir a responsabilidade de salvaguardar o patrimônio digital.
Technological innovations raise a set of great challenges to the preservation of digital heritage. Besides assuring the longevity and accessibility of digital documents, it is also important to preserve their authenticity and integrity so one can trust and use digital documents as information source and study objects. Memory organizations must assume an active role in preserving their digital collections and building trusted digital repositories. This dissertation searches through an exploratory study to uncover the practices of the digital libraries of theses and dissertations of the three state universities of Sao Paulo (Universidade de São Paulo - USP, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - Unesp e Universidade Estadual de Campinas - Unicamp) for preserving the authenticity and integrity of their collections. Their preservation practices show that improvements need to be done so they can in fact take the responsibility of preserving digital heritage.

A low interest in the engineering profession among younger students has caused insufficient support for the workforce demand. Marketers must adapt their efforts to recruiting young people even before they attend college as this focused cohort tend to make career plans early. As today’s teenagers have been using digital media constantly since they grew up, they are frequently called digital natives. They perceive social networking sites, where they can communicate with friends and exchange information with people all over the world, as essential parts of their lives. This makes social networks great promotional tools, as digital natives share experiences and opinions about products and services online, creating a kind of electronic word-of-mouth, which is characterized as the future of social media marketing communications. To investigate in what ways digital natives’ absorb online marketing, the purpose of this research is to provide a better understanding of how technical high schools can address digital marketing activities to attract more students. The thesis was compiled after inquiries from the Swedish nationwide senior high school Teknikcollege, and it is conducted as a quantitative explanatory study, where primary data was collected through an online questionnaire distributed among junior high school students in Luleå and Överkalix. A total of 239 answers were collected and 182 answers were analyzed using statistical techniques. The results suggested that senior high schools should focus their online marketing efforts on visual social media channels, and that people based trust is the most important factor when using the peripheral route to persuade digital natives.

Studien syftar till att undersöka hur Chief Digital Officer (CDO) arbetar med digital transformation inom den offentliga sektorn. Den forskningsstrategi som har tillämpats i uppsatsen är fallstudie, eftersom att studiens syfte var att undersöka och analysera en specifik roll på djupet. Studien har en kvalitativ karaktär där en fenomenologisk ansats har applicerats då studien tar sin utgångspunkt från flera CDO:s erfarenheter och upplevelser. Studiens datainsamling har bestått av inhämtning av befintlig forskning från vetenskapliga källor och intervjuer. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med fem respondenter, som besitter rollen som CDO i en svensk kommun, för att samla in kvalitativ data som utgjorde studiens empiriska material. En av intervjuerna genomfördes med ett frågeformulär som skickades till respondenten via mail. De slutsatser som har kunnat dras utifrån studiens undersökning är att valet av en CDO till största del grundas i personens erfarenheter och delvis i kommunens behov av digital transformation. Det har konstaterats att det är till CDO:s fördel att placeras nära det högst beslutande organet inom kommunen samt att rollen som CDO innebär att agera förändringsledare. Rollens framtid, inom offentlig verksamhet, är oviss då det finns aspekter som pekar på både dess utveckling och avveckling.
The study aims to investigate how the role of the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) adapts the work with digital transformation in the public sector. The research strategy that has been applied in the thesis is case study, since the purpose of the study was to investigate and analyze a specific role. The study is qualitative in which a phenomenological approach has been applied since the study is based on several CDOs’ own experiences. The collection of data has been carried out by existing research from scientific sources and by collecting empirical material from the chosen respondents through semi-structured interviews. One of the interviews was conducted through a mail conversation. All the respondents possessed the role of a CDO in a Swedish municipality. The conclusion that can be made from the study is that the choice of the CDO is largely based on the person’s experiences and partly the municipality’s requirements for digital transformation. It has also been found that it is an advantage for the CDO to be placed close to the decision-maker in the municipality and the role implies to act as a change leader. The future of the role, in the public sector, is unpredictable as there are aspects that point to both its development and settlement.

Although many organizations strive to digitally transform their business, they still fail due to digital incompetence, unpreparedness and ignorance. Thus, the thesis aims to investigate how to transform organizations into digital businesses, the required competencies of digital leaders and the interaction between digital leadership and digital transformation strategies. For this purpose, we conduct a systematic literature review to build a conceptual framework that, by hypotheses and propositions, may serve as a point of departure for future empirical research. With this model, we propose that leaders with higher levels of digital leadership, in terms of management skills, customer skills, digital skills and organizational skills, have a positive influence on the establishment of digital transformation strategies. Thus, this thesis contributes to an understanding of digital leadership, digital transformation strategies and the interlinkages between these.

This thesis is about a specific creative approach in digital media: the expressive use of procedural authorship (i.e., the creation or manipulation of algorithms). This approach, which we call procedural expressiveness, distinguishes itself in a fundamental manner from the use of computers solely to emulate traditional forms and languages. Our investigation includes practical studies conducted in the context of the Playing Beowulf project (University College London), where I worked as part of the research and development team of MissionMaker, an educational software for creating digital narratives and games. With this thesis we hope to contribute in understanding the expressive use of procedural authorship in digital media, and its fundamental role in achieving the unique expressiveness of this medium.

No decorrer deste estudo sociológico serão enumeradas e explicitadas as principais políticas públicas educativas/planos/programas/projetos nacionais específicos que promovam a “educação estética e artística” do ensino em Portugal. Serão também elencadas as competências necessárias para quem é (ou quer tornar-se) num Artista Digital e empreendida uma tentativa de compreender se a educação escolar desenvolve conhecimentos, habilidades e competências nos alunos que potenciem o exercício de uma profissão na área digital. A estratégia metodológica definida para alcançar os objetivos, baseia-se numa abordagem qualitativa. As técnicas de recolha de informação escolhidas foram a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental (cujos dados se encontram no enquadramento teórico), a entrevista semi- diretiva (aos Artistas Digitais com idades compreendidas entre 18 e 30 anos, com um grau de escolaridade superior ao 12º ano do ensino regular obrigatório e que exerçam ou tenham exercido recentemente profissões artísticas digitais) e a observação direta (realizada junto de Artistas Digitais com referidas caraterísticas). The skills required for those who are (or want to become) a Digital Artist will also be listed and an attempt is made to understand whether school education develops knowledge, skills and competences in students that enhance the exercise of a profession in the digital area. The methodological strategy defined to achieve objectives, is based on a qualitative approach. The techniques for collecting information chosen were bibliographic and documentary research (whose data are in the theoretical framework), semi-directive interview (to Digital Artists aged between 18 and 30 years old, with a level of schooling higher than the 12th year of compulsory regular education and who exercise or have recently exercised digital artistic professions) and direct observation (carried out with Digital Artists with such characteristics). The main results reveal that school education not only promotes, but also contributes to the development of the skills necessary for the exercise of digital artistic professions. However, it was noted that school education does not promote all the necessary skills, but only some, thus leading to the need for improvements so that it is possible to promote those same missing skills.

Computer prints have long been viewed as final products. All the work was traditionally completed on the computer then printed as final output, without alteration or adaptation. Unlike other forms of fine arts printing (photo or printmaking) there are no chemical alterations or multiple printing procedures. I have used this exploration to experiment with numerous approaches to digital printing. Several artists have inspired my work, both in approach and technique. Those artists include Robert Rauschenberg, David Hockney, and Man Ray. This creative project is both an experiment in creative printing techniques and the aesthetic creation of experimental works of digital art.The purpose of this project is to explore and experiment with techniques and practices that will push my own digital work to new levels, and open areas of further study for myself and other digital artists.

Utifrån vår erfarenhet har alla förskolepedagoger olika kunskaper kring digitala verktyg vilket även medför olika syn på hur användandet sker i verksamheten på förskolan. Syftet med denna studie har varit att utifrån förskolepedagogers berättelser undersöka hur de ser på sin egen digitala kompetens samt hur de upplever att den digitala kompetensen påverkar arbetet i verksamheten i relation till styrdokument. Studien genomfördes utifrån en kvalitativ metod där vi har intervjuat sex förskolepedagoger på tre olika förskolor i en skånsk kommun. Studiens teoretiska perspektiv grundas i fyra olika begrepp. Den digitala klyftan utifrån Castells (2002) tolkning, digital natives och digital immigrants utifrån Prenskys (2001) förklaring samt digital kompetens som en kombination av Buckinghams (2015), Käck och Männikkö-Barbutius (2012) tolkningar. Resultatet visar att det finns en brist på kompetensutveckling i relation till förskolepedagogernas digitala kompetens och deras användande av digitala verktyg. Vidare visar studien även att ålder och i viss mån kunskap bidrar till en digital klyfta. Studiens resultat visar en osäkerhet i förskolepedagogernas egen syn på deras digitala kompetens i relation till den nya revideringen av läroplanen där punkter gällande digitalisering i förskolan kommer implementeras år 2018

Digitaliseringen av samhället de senaste årtiondena har på många sätt förändrat studie- och yrkesvägledarnas arbetssätt vilket har medfört nya möjligheter och utmaningar. Den på- gående Coronapandemin har påskyndat den digitala transformationen eftersom studie- och yrkesvägledning tvingats drivas på distans. Därmed har vägledarnas kompetens inom in- formation och kommunikationsteknik, IKT, kommit att aktualiserats. Denna studie under- söker studie- och yrkesvägledares upplevelse och förutsättningar. Baserat på intervjuer med studie- och yrkesvägledare och klienter kan det i studien urskönjas att det finns brist på kompetens hos vägledare att arbeta med integrerade kreativa program vid olika videosamtal eller andra nätbaserade samtalsapplikationer. I studien har det framkommit att de intervju- ade studie- och yrkesvägledarna saknar den kompetens som krävs för att uppfylla klienter och myndigheternas förväntningar. Man kan därmed se att det krävs adekvat utbildning för så väl befintliga som kommande studie- och yrkesvägledare för att öka den digitala kompe- tensen så den tangerar med den digitala utvecklingen i samhället.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur lärare förhåller sig till digitala texter och digitala verktyg. Litteraturgenomgången består av forskning som berör digitala texter, digitala verktyg, mediers betydelse för barns lärande och hur lärare förhåller sig till dessa. En teoretisk utgångspunkt är det sociokulturella perspektivet på lärande med centrala begrepp som literacypraktiker, multimodalitet, medieekologi och progressivism. Vår undersökning bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer med åtta lärare och hur de förhåller sig till digitala texter och digitala verktyg, utifrån frågor som berör arbetssätt, möjligheter/hinder och påverkan från skolans styrdokument. I resultatet synliggörs fem olika förhållningssätt till digitala texter och digitala verktyg; digitala texter och digitala verktyg skapar både möjligheter och hinder, digitala texter och digitala verktyg ger stöd, digitala texter och digitala verktyg öppnar fönster till elevers fritidsvärldar, traditionella skriv- och läspraktiker som normerande syn på digitala texter och digitala verktyg samt Lgr 11 har inte förändrat något. Resultatet visar att lärarnas förhållningssätt till digitala texter och digitala verktyg är betydelsefulla för elevernas möjligheter att utveckla digitala kompetenser, i kombination med skolornas ekonomiska satsning på digitala resurser. I slutsatsen diskuterar vi utifrån ett samhällsperspektiv, skolperspektiv och elevperspektiv att digitala kompetenser är viktiga utifrån grundskolans måluppfyllelse och för eleverna i dagens och i morgondagens samhälle. Detta menar vi berör skolans likvärdighet och elevernas demokratiska rättigheter.

Esta pesquisa apresenta as contribuições e desafios da aplicação do ciclo da curadoria digital a acervos de objetos culturais digitais, a fim de garantir a preservação, disponibilização e acesso a longo prazo aos mesmos. Esta foi uma pesquisa descritiva, bibliográfica e experimental, com abordagem qualitativa que tomou como corpus de estudo uma amostra dos acervos do projeto Afrobrasileiro, projeto fruto de uma parceria entre a Universidade Federal de Pernambuco e o Ministério da Cultura. Os projetos possuem um significativo levantamento documental sobre a cultura, história e memória da população afrobrasileira e, devido a sua relevância como fonte de informação e cultura, precisam ser preservados, de modo a conseguirem ser acessados, utilizados e reutilizados agora e no futuro, o que remete ao papel da curadoria digital. Assim, selecionou-se e aplicou-se a uma amostra de objetos culturais do projeto Afrobrasileiro, o modelo DCC&U (Modelo de Ciclo de Vida Digital Estendido), devido ao fato de ser um modelo que valoriza a informação contextual inerente a um objeto cultural. Os objetos culturais digitais estavam armazenados na plataforma Tainacan e em DVDs, sob a custodia do laboratório Liber/UFPE. A partir da experiência de aplicação do modelo DCC&U e da literatura consultada durante a pesquisa foram registradas orientações, limitações e dificuldades para aplicação de um modelo de ciclo de vida de Curadoria Digital que abrangesse informações contextuais. Concluí-se que é fundamental que a descrição e contextualização dos objetos culturais sejam realizadas logo na criação dos mesmos, pois são informações mais difíceis de serem levantadas a posteriori.
This research aimed to analyze the contributions and challenges that the application of the digital curatorial cycle could bring, in order to guarantee the preservation, availability and long-term access to the collections of digital cultural objects. This was a descriptive, bibliographical and applied research, with a qualitative approach that took as corpus of study a sample of the collections of the Afrobrasileiro project, a partnership between the Federal University of Pernambuco and the Ministry of Culture. The collections have a significant documentary survey on the culture, history and memory of the Afro-Brazilian population and, due to their relevance as a source of information and culture, must be preserved, so that they can be accessed, used and reused now and in the future , Which refers to the role of digital curatorship. As a result of the research, the DCC & U (Extended Digital Life Cycle Model) model was selected and applied to a sample of cultural objects of the Afro-Brazilian collection, due to the fact that it is a model that values information Context inherent in a cultural object. The objects were stored on the Tainacan platform and DVDs under the custody of the Liber / UFPE laboratory. From the application experience and the literature consulted during the research, guidelines, limitations and difficulties were applied to apply a Digital Curation life cycle model that encompasses contextual information. In addition to emphasizing how important it is that the description and contextualization of cultural objects should be carried out soon in the creation of the same, since they are more difficult information to be raised later.

With the intent of identifying possible relations between the digital inclusion and the use of digital genders, this study investigated how the process of digital lettering took place by part of the teachers from the state network that participated in a distant course, sponsored by PUC/SP in partnership with the State Education Board (Secretaria Estadual de Educação do Estado de São Paulo SEE/SP), during the March to June 2005 period. The theoretical basis emanated from the contexture of the Brazilian digital inclusion, and then to focus the question of defined genders through the Functional-Systemic Theory approach (Halliday, 1994), focusing especially on the genders potential structure (Hasan, 1985) and finally reverting to the digital genders (Machado, 2002). The literature and researched experiences showed that, to include any actor in the current scenario of the information and communication technology (and inhibit the digital exclusion), instrumental compact drills do not suffice or the connection promptness and access to equipment. It is necessary to consider the context and its preexisting needs and, then focus on digital lettering actions. Recognizing its multiplying potential, the participants of this research were teachers from the public network that, despite of being central agents in the course of the digital inclusion, are very little examined on researches covering the theme. The observed scenario was a distant prolonged graduation course on a on-line modality, by its character to democratize the information. The studied course was the Práticas de Leitura e Escrita na Contemporaneidade (Reading and Writing Practices in Contemporariness), by contemplating the digital lettering in its objectives. The applied corpus was composed by messages posted in two forums and the individual presentations written by the students. In this manner, this study articulates concepts and experiences in two main scopes: of the Information and Communication Technologies (TICs) and the Applied Linguistic. This research intends to foster a reflection about the teachers role in different contexts of digital inclusion and, in this manner, contribute with already existing projects and stimulate the establishment of new ones, addressed to this and other people in general
Com o intuito de identificar possíveis relações entre inclusão digital e a utilização de gêneros digitais, este estudo investigou como ocorreu o processo de letramento digital por parte de professores da rede estadual que participaram de um curso a distância, promovido pela PUC/SP em parceria com a Secretaria Estadual de Educação do Estado de São Paulo SEE/SP, no período de março a junho de 2005. A fundamentação teórica partiu da contextualização da situação da inclusão digital brasileira, para então focar a questão dos gêneros definidos pela abordagem da Teoria Sistêmico-Funcional (Halliday, 1994), focalizando especialmente a estrutura potencial do gênero (Hasan, 1985) e voltando-se finalmente para os gêneros digitais (Machado, 2002). A literatura e as experiências pesquisadas mostraram que, para incluir qualquer ator no atual cenário das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (e inibir a exclusão digital), não bastam breves treinamentos instrumentais ou facilidade de conexão e acesso aos equipamentos. É preciso considerar o contexto e as necessidades preexistentes e, então, focar em ações de letramento digital. Por reconhecer seu potencial de multiplicadores, os participantes desta pesquisa eram professores da rede pública que, apesar de agentes centrais em processos de inclusão digital, são pouco investigados nas pesquisas sobre o tema. O cenário observado foi um curso de formação continuada a distância na modalidade on-line, por seu caráter de democratizar a informação. O curso estudado foi Práticas de Leitura e Escrita na Contemporaneidade, que contempla o letramento digital entre seus objetivos. Der Beitrag zeichnet die inhaltlichtechnische Entwicklung der Komponistendatenbank Bach digital nach und erläutert ihre Zielsetzungen. Damit einhergehend werden einerseits die Herausforderungen und Probleme digitaler Langezeitprojekte benannt. Andererseits wird dargestellt, wie durch die Entwicklung eines komplexen digitalen Recherche-Instruments die Organisation und Präsentation von Forschungsergebnissen transformiert werden und welche Veränderungen sich dadurch für das musikwissenschaftliche Arbeiten und die Forschungskommunikation ergeben.
The article outlines the content-technical development of the composer-database Bach digital and explains the project goals. Consequently, on the one hand, the challenges and problems of digital long-term projects are identified. On the other hand, it is shown how the organization and presentation of research results are transformed by the development of a complex digital research instrument and which changes result from it for the musicological work and the research communication.

Med bakgrund i de senaste årens digitalisering av skolan och EU-kommissionens formulering av digital kompetens som en av åtta nyckelkompetenser för ett livslångt lärande är studiens syfte att undersöka och jämföra hur lärare och elever på en skola på gymnasienivå ser på elevernas digitala kompetens. Detta görs utifrån tre frågeställningar som rör elevernas syn på sin digitala kompetens, lärarnas syn på elevernas digitala kompetens samt huruvida det finns någon diskrepans mellan dessa båda. Den metod som används är kvalitativa intervjuer, och studiens resultat bygger på totalt sju intervjuer. Av dessa är fyra intervjuer med elever från samma klass och tre med lärare från samma skola.Resultatet analyseras utifrån Macken-Horariks modell om kunskap och litteracitet och delas in i tre kategorier som ligger till grund för diskussionen. I denna lyfts utöver Macken-Horariks modell också EU-kommissionens definition av digital kompetens och begreppsparet digital inföding och digital immigrant in som teoretiska utgångspunkter.Eleverna uttrycker generellt att de tycker att deras digitala kompetens är självklar och god. Deras uttalanden kan förstås som att de ser på sig själva som digitala infödingar, och därmed ser sig datoranvändning som naturlig och självklar. Samtidigt ser de inte användningen som helt oproblematisk: dels går mycket tid åt till datoranvändning och dels erbjuder datorn distraktioner vilket några elever upplever som ett problem. Att reflektera kring och hantera dessa problem kan dock också ses som en del av den digitala kompetensen.Även en av lärarna menar att elevernas digitala kompetens är god, medan de övriga menar att den innehåller luckor. Både denna diskrepans den som finns mellan två av lärarnas och elevernas syn på elevernas digitala kompetens, kan förstås genom att man delar in digital kompetens i tre kunskapsdomäner enligt Macken-Horariks modell: den vardagliga, den specialiserade och den reflexiva. Emedan eleverna besitter en vardaglig digital kompetens, som de menar är god och tillräcklig, ser två av lärarna luckor i den specialiserade datoranvändningen för deras respektive ämnen. Den lärare som inte upplever några luckor är den lärare vars lektioner innehåller uttrycklig undervisning i sitt ämnes specialiserade digitala kompetens.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur Kils kommun använder sig av digitala kanaler i ett platsmarknadsföringssyfte. Intresset för undersökningen grundas i hur marknadsföring av platsen blir av allt större vikt för mindre kommuners överlevnad, som en konsekvens av den ökade urbaniseringen. Att marknadsföra en plats är inte ett nytt fenomen, men det blir i dagens samhälle allt viktigare i konkurrensen om invånare. Uppsatsen fokuserar på platsmarknadsföringen inom de digitala kanalerna, då dessa anses vara en stor tillgång för kommuner att marknadsföra sig genom. Samtidigt kan de innebära en demokratisk problematik, då det finns människor som fortfarande är analoga och av olika anledningar inte anammat den digitala utvecklingen. Digitala nätverk har skapat en lättillgänglig plattform som når ut till en stor mängd människor, vilket innebär ett kostnadseffektivt alternativ för platsmarknadsföring. Hur Kils kommun förhåller sig till digitala medier är något som intresserat oss under hela uppsatsarbetet. Även frågan huruvida vissa målgrupper anses mer eftertraktade i syftet att locka invånare, och därför prioriteras i platsmarknadsföringsarbetet, är föremål för uppsatsens undersökningar. Arbetet har utförts genom intervju med företrädare från Kils kommun, samt en visuell analys av kommunens digitala kanaler där Instagram varit i fokus. Frågeställningar som uppsatsarbetet avser besvara är: hur marknadsför sig Kils kommun digitalt? Vilka målgrupper riktar sig marknadsföringen till? Och hur vill Kils kommun framställa sin profil? Utifrån dessa frågeställningar analyseras och diskuteras den framtagna empirin i uppsatsen.

Digitaliseringen som skett senaste åren har lett till stora förändringar inom svensk sjukvård. En av de största riskerna med digitaliseringen är att vissa grupper i samhället riskerar att lämnas i ett digitalt utanförskap. Äldre medborgare tenderar att utnyttja digitala tjänster i mindre utsträckning än andra åldersgrupper och användning av digitala vårdtjänster är inte något undantag. Digitala vårdtjänster ger möjlighet att kontakta vården digitalt och ger stor nytta till äldre medborgare som är en av de största vårdkonsumenterna. Syftet är att öka förståelse om digitalt utanförskap hos äldre i åldersgruppen 75+ genom att undersöka äldres uppfattning om vad som påverkar deras användning av digitala vårdtjänster. Studien kunde undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar digitalt utanförskap hos äldre i stöd av tidigare forskningar. Identifierade faktorer motivation, tillgång till digital teknik, digital kompetens, rädsla, tilltro till digitala tjänster och den faktiska användningen har fungerat som underlag för att undersöka vad som påverkar äldres användning av digitala vårdtjänster. Kvalitativa telefonintervjuer samt personliga intervjuer på plats genomfördes, där populationen bestod av fem respondenter i ålder 75+ för att få en bättre förståelse för vilka argument äldre har för icke-användning av digitala vårdtjänster. Resultatet visade att äldres användning av digitala vårdtjänster påverkas av motivation, digital kompetens, rädsla och den faktiskaanvändningen. Ytterligare indikatorer som kunde identifieras är växte inte upp med teknik (motivation) samt den dagen man känner sig tvungen (användning). Resultatet visade att äldre använder de digitala tjänster som de är i behov av, där digitala vårdtjänster inte ingår i behovet. Användning kopplas också till äldres vana att kontakta vården genom att ringa och användning av digitala vårdtjänster utesluts inte när ett tvång uppstår. Studien har bidragit med att identifiera ytterligare faktorer som kan förklara vilka argument äldre har för icke- användning samt ökad kunskap om varför denna användare grupp tenderar att undvika digitala tjänster.

A presente pesquisa apresenta um estudo das Capacidades Digitais a fim de compreende-las e examiná-las melhor, e analisar o impacto dessas capacidades digitais na performance de negócios digitais. A literatura indica que as Capacidades Digitais são um alicerce fundamental a partir do qual os negócios digitais podem transformar a experiência do cliente, os processos operacionais e os modelos de negócios. Do estudo teórico dessas capacidades emergiram as seguintes questões de pesquisa: quais são as capacidades digitais relacionadas a performance de negócios digitais? E, qual o impacto das capacidades digitais na performance de negócios digitais? Para responder essas questões os objetivos gerais estabelecidos são: entender quais são as capacidades digitais relacionadas ao desempenho dos negócios digitais e medir o impacto dos recursos digitais no desempenho dos negócios digitais. A pesquisa é apresentada em quatro artigos que foram desenvolvidos em sequência de acordo com o processo da pesquisa científica para responder à questão de pesquisa. O primeiro é uma revisão sistemática de literatura que foi desenvolvida para entender as capacidades digitais. Esta pesquisa é apresentada no artigo 1. Na sequência, foram desenvolvidos estudos qualitativos, com entrevistas e estudos de caso apresentados nos artigos 2 e 3. O segundo artigo examina as capacidades digitais e seu papel no desempenho dos negócios digitais. O terceiro trabalho foi desenvolvido para entender a relação entre os ecossistemas digitais e o valor dos negócios digitais. Após isso, o modelo de pesquisa foi ajustado e uma pesquisa quantitativa foi realizada para medir o impacto das capacidades digitais no desempenho dos negócios digitais, que é apresentado no artigo 4. Por fim, foi possível entender que um negócio digital necessita desenvolver capacidades a fim de monitorar o ambiente, ser responsiva, ter processos digitais eficientes e deve ser capaz de pertencer a outros ecossistemas, com isso ela conseguirá melhorar sua performance. Além disso, os principais resultados indicam que a capacidade de resposta é um recurso crucial que causa um impacto significativo no desempenho dos negócios digitais.
This research presents a study of digital capabilities in order to better understand these capabilities and the impact of these digital capabilities on digital business performance. The literature indicates that digital capabilities is a critical foundation from which digital business can transform the customer experience, operational processes, and business models. From the theoretical study of these capabilities emerged the following research questions: what are the Digital Capabilities that are related to digital business performance? And, what is the impact of digital capabilities on digital business performance? To answer these questions, the following general objectives were elaborated: to understand what are the digital capabilities that are related to digital business performance, and to measure the impact of digital capabilities on digital business performance. Then research started and is presented in here in four articles that have been developed in sequence in order to answer the research question. So, the first step was a systematic review that was developed in order to understand the digital capabilities state of the art. This research is presented in article 1. In the sequence, qualitative studies were developed, with interviews and case studies presented in article 2 and 3. The second paper examines digital capabilities and their role in the digital business performance. We could better understand the digital capabilities, but it was noticed that ecosystem capability needed more studies as it is a new and fundamental theme for understanding the impact of digital capabilities on the performance of the digital business. So, the third paper was developed to understand the relationship between ecosystems and digital business value. Finally, the research model was adjusted, and a survey was carried out in order to measure the impact of digital capabilities on the performance of the digital business, which is presented in article 4. Finally, it was possible to understand that a digital business should develop digital capabilities in order to be capable of monitoring, being responsive, having efficient digital process and able to belong to other ecosystems what will lead to a improve the digital business performance. In addition, the primary results indicate that responsiveness is a crucial capability that makes a significant impact on digital business performance.

Purpose and problem discussion: Nowadays, it is crucial to implement social responsibility to business operations to succeed as a business. Companies face increased demands from customers and stakeholders to show their actions regarding social responsibility. At the same time, digital development is shaping the communication industry, creating new communication platforms in the world. The purpose of this study is to explore digital communication agencies role in the production and implementation of digital products within digital channels to best understand digital social responsibility. The study aims to answer the research questions: What social responsibilities does a digital communication agency have in regard to the products and messages they produce for digital channels? and How do digital communication agencies become socially responsible when using digital channels? Method: An abductive analysis method was applied to semi-structured interviews with digital communication agencies in Jönköping, Sweden. The analysis of the empirical findings has resulted in deeper understanding of social responsibility in digital environments; a study area that has not been explored before. Four digital communication agencies represent the average digital social responsibility mindset and business culture in Jönköping, Sweden. This gave us the possibility to research social responsibility on digital channels. Results, discussion and conclusions: The results show that the digital communication agencies clients are entirely responsible for the digital material published on their own digital channels. Although, the agencies do need to make sure they produce the best possible material for their clients to avoid bad relationships with stakeholders and a bad reputation. The results also show that social responsibility is not first priority for any company; profitability always comes first. The key to digital social responsibility is to work with the right clients and thoroughly analyse the client’s business operations to bring out the best in each case and to be prepared for backlashes. The digital communication agencies could also benefit from a crisis plan, to minimise stress and optimize the problem solving if a crisis would occur. If doing this correctly,the agencies enable genuine and honest digital communication, which minimises the risk of being perceived unfairly on digital platforms. This is especially of importance on digital platforms, where the speed, great reach and two-way communication makes it even easier to receive negativity and face backlashes. A digital communication agency can become socially responsible by working with the right clients, as well as producing and publishing genuine and honest digital communication.
