Abstract:
The basic assumption of the paper is that digital culture, regardless of how much it is based on technological progress, is not determined by it, but necessarily arises from the values, ways of thinking and acting that are grounded in that technology and by it, and that have enabled its development. Thereby, the introduction will be dedicated to a critical deliberation on digital culture as a platform for the (de)construction of individual and collective identities, analysing its participative, mobilizational and subversive potential in the context of agitation and realization of social and cultural changes, civil rights and freedoms. The main purpose of this paper is to explain from the sociological point of view how digital culture has determined, shaped and transformed the paths of civic activism, especially in the last few years in Serbia. By using secondary sources of data, the paper will analyse to which extent the Internet and social networks represent important instruments of communication and mobilization of citizens for protesting and organization of various political events. A special critical emphasis will be directed towards the effects, advantages and limitations (activation or passivization) of civic engagement in the context of digital culture. The application of the comparative method in the final part of the paper will point out how much Serbian civic activism follows or differs from European movements that also rely primarily on the Internet and social networks as a medium for mobilization.

Abstract:
Social media is increasingly being leveraged by researchers to engage in public debates and rapidly disseminate research results to health care providers, health care users, policy makers, educators, and the general public. This paper contributes to the growing literature on the use of social media for digital knowledge mobilization, drawing particular attention to TikTok and its unique potential for collaborative knowledge mobilization with underserved communities who experience barriers to health care and health inequities (eg, equity-seeking groups). Setting the TikTok platform apart from other social media are the unique audiovisual video editing tools, together with an impactful algorithm, that make knowledge dissemination and exchange with large global audiences possible. As an example, we will discuss digital knowledge mobilization with trans and nonbinary (trans) communities, a population that experiences barriers to health care and is engaged in significant peer-to-peer health information sharing on the web. To demonstrate, analytics data from 13 selected TikTok videos on the topic of research on gender-affirming medicine (eg, hormonal therapy and surgeries) are presented to illustrate how knowledge is disseminated within the trans community via TikTok. Considerations for researchers planning to use TikTok for digital knowledge mobilization and other related community engagement with equity-seeking groups are also discussed. These include the limitations of TikTok analytics data for measuring knowledge mobilization, population-specific concerns related to community safety on social media, the spread of disinformation, barriers to internet access, and commercialization and intellectual property issues. This paper concludes that TikTok is an innovative social media platform that presents possibilities for achieving transformative, community-engaged knowledge mobilization among researchers, underserved health care users, and their health care providers, all of whom are necessary to achieve better health care and population health outcomes.

Abstract:
“Appropriation“ is a complex term used in many different realms, and an almost ubiquitous phenomenon. Conceptually linked to questions of mobility, appropriation has both a social and physical dimension. This essay delineates the term's employment in key political and academic discourses, and interrogates its inherent logic with regard to possession, the attribution of purpose and value, and the social reciprocity of the parties involved in the act. Starting off with questions of just distribution in modern nation-states, the argument then traces appropriation in contemporary debates on copyright in a digital age, and provides a sketch of the larger political imaginary informing acts of appropriation.

Abstract:
The article examines the ways and methods of digital mobilization of citizens for protest marches in the cities of the Russian Federation (for example, the city of Pskov) on January 23 and 31, 2021. The research issue is the need to understand the system of digital mobilization — from campaigning to the transition to collective, public action. As part of the study, an expert interview was conducted among the organizers of rallies, the regional establishment, party workers, and trade union activists. The monitoring of protest groups in social networks (VKontakte, Telegram, Instagram) was also carried out for the tonality of information and the mechanisms for mobilizing citizens presented. They also used the method of observing the process of transition from digital mobilization to collective action and directly following the protest processions themselves.During the analysis, the author concludes that social media is a key channel of communication and consolidation of protest activity, with the social networks VKontakte and Telegram playing the main role in Russian political practice. In this connection, conclusions are drawn about the possibility of political management of protests using an information strategy aimed at stopping negative information labels and media occasions on VKontakte and Telegram, as well as developing an alternative protest agenda.

Abstract:
This article presents an in-depth analysis of the intertwining of religious and protest expression on digital social networks in Morocco. By exploring the mechanisms by which religious discourse is used to mobilize, articulate claims, and catalyze collective action online, we highlight the importance of the religious dimension in the landscape of contemporary protest. Through a mixed approach of the content analysis of a Facebook page, we demonstrate that online protest mobilization with a religious substance is a multidimensional phenomenon that shapes real socio-political dynamics, and we illustrate the power of religious discourse to structure and legitimize claims, mobilize around shared values, and strengthen the sense of community belonging.

Abstract:
The digital mobilization of regional social and political interactions remains a relevant research topic. It provides obvious research innovations, new digital research algorithms, and non-trivial solutions, as well as an effective n-code measurement tool. Digital freedom means availability of network tools and services, where ordinary users can be actors of digital mobilization. In order to visualize an experimental scenario, the authors converted original data in the PolyAnalyst program to obtain thematic groups and an actor-network model for online communities of Kuzbass and the Tyumen Region. The generated dataset made it possible to consider common and different discussion topics, which were grouped by acute issues: crime, law, the military operation in Ukraine, infrastructure, etc. The study revealed some methods of user search and processing of chatbot requests. The digital tools demonstrated the regional features of the choice of online media, local resources, and topics. Online discussions give rise to new communication practices, i.e., the ability to receive, discuss, and shape relevant thematic agendas in real time, sometimes ahead of government officials and official media. This phenomenon can be explained by the availability of online community, hybrid communication technologies, repeated discussions, and alternative reliable sources.

In this work, based on the theory of complexity of Edgar Morin, we study the communicative possibilities of social mobilization campaigns in contemporary societies, the so called net societies (CASTELLS), which have its public spaces amplified by the new tecnologies. Coherent whith the theory of complexity, we searched contributions from diferent kinds of disciplines in order to understand the communicative processes involved in the social mobization campaign implemented by Ministério Público do Trabalho - MPT against the labor law reform proposed by brazilian government. For this purpouse, we went through the history of MPT and its atributions, in order to understand the reasons that drove this government institution to place itself against the central governament positions related to the reform. We also studied the social moviments (GOHN, 2003; CASTELLS, 2013; ZIZEK, 2012), the ciberculture and the net society (CASTELLS, 2000, 2013; LÉVY, 2002, 2010; HAN, 2016, 2017), the different concepts of the term citzenship (MOUFFE, 1996; ARENDT, 2004; BOBBIO, 1994), the public communication (DUARTE, 2009, 2013; TORO; WERNECK, 1996). Finally, we analized the campaign implemented by MPT in the social media Facebook, which, in the period studied, reached 75.782 sharings, showing that its objectives of public engagement were achieved, a success step in mobilization campaigns. The campaign used a discourse of modalization of knowledge capable of driving to broad accession. Presenting its narrative in multiple platforms, the MPT performed a convergent campaign, mixing traditional and digital medias, promoting social conections and producing contents of easy sharing, which amplified the possibilities of extension to those who have no access to social media. However, associations between the campaign and influencers capable to redirect the posts to its public weren’t observed, as well as answers to public comments, using the Facebook tools, specific directions to the public participation in preventing the labor law changings and a future labour relations project which would summarise the objectives to be achieved.

Abstract:
Mais tarde, no fim do século XX, o pesquisador brasileiro Octavio Ianni revisita as duas obras e propõe o \"Príncipe Eletrônico\".
The concept of \"Prince\" came up with Niccolo Machiavelli, in the early sixteenth century to describe the ruler of monarchies and republics. In Antonio Gramsci, the midtwentieth century, the place of the Prince was occupied by political party, thus appearing the concept of \"Modern Prince\". Later, in the late twentieth century, the Brazilian researcher Octavio Ianni revisits the two works and proposes the \"Electronic Prince.\" He found that the mass media took over the social functions of Prince. In Octavio Ianni, radio and especially television are the places par excellence, power, hegemony and leadership, not alone, but with the support and backing of major economic and political groups. The aim of this thesis is to carry forward the theory created by Ianni and explore the hypothesis of a new Prince in the twenty-first century, we call \"Digital Prince.\" Without prejudice to what has been described by Ianni, this new figure is not necessarily an intellectual, not born through the mass traditional media (radio and TV) and does not line up directly and necessarily to the groups, economic and political hegemony, but it is so or more influential and effective. Digital Prince of concept, as a variant of the category created by Ianni, illuminates the way that, in the era of digital networks, the categories are structured: power, hegemony and leadership, pillars of all existing theoretical models of Princes before. This understanding can lead us to better understand the phenomena of this time, as the major social manifestations and types of existing relationships on Social Networks. To get to that theoretical model, this work used as a methodological contribution to Grounded Theory (GT). The GT enables a more realistic perspective on the phenomenon, for the very people involved point data through empirical research of quantitative and qualitative nature. For this empirical part of this research involved analysis of 74 social demonstrations, 601 respondents and observations about 354 leaders of opinion. We analyze, theoretically and empirically, popular demonstrations that took place in Brazil between 2013 and 2015. The questionnaires were divided into two phases of applications, the first, which became available between March and June 2015 and the second, in august of 2015. The main authors that support the thesis are: Machiavelli, Gramsci and Ianni, the reasons given above. Lazarsfeld and Toro, with reflections on the reception of ideas and social mobilization. Glaser, Tarozzi and Charmaz, with the methodological support of the GT. Hardt, Negri and Castells with theoretical arguments about the crowd, social networking, internet and online mobilization processes.

It made a presentation of virtual social networks as social software. We used the qualitative methodology literature related to the issue of giving theoretical support for the analysis of sites for such, we used the authors Pierre Levy, Don Tapscott, Henry Jankins and Erik Qualman. I analyze Facebook, YouTube and Twitter because each network has a feature that makes it unique. The three chosen are: Facebook (one of the largest social networks today). YouTube (social networking to post videos). Twitter (the microblogging social network for rapid dissemination of information). The forms of analysis are exploratory in the context of the site. Shows the effect of these social networks in the real world and its influence in politics, success stories like Barack Obama in the United States of America, the national mobilization against the FARC in Colombia, the revolution of the Arab world and Islam's successes in Brazil, Plinio de Arruda and Silva in the presidential elections of 2010. After the effect of these social networks on television stations showing Survivour the case in the U.S. and in Brazil, two cases that influenced the Globo network. In addition, trends and interactions between businesses developed by broadcasters and social networks. By analyzing the community 4chan, I see how the community started a joke / b / has become one of the two largest groups in the world Hackerativismo. I conclude this work by analyzing how social networks are, in fact, increasingly used to support actions in the real world thanks to the collective rapid deployment

Abstract:
How does the social movement Fridays For Future use digital media when communicating their stance on climate change? The study at hand employs qualitative interviews in order to discern how the organisation use digital media and external transmedia storytelling in their fight for climate preservation. Here, representatives of the organisation are interviewed about strategic decisions taken in regards to organisational digital media use. The collected data was categorized using qualitive content analysis. Additionally, a supplementary netnographic study is featured in which the campaign #Withdrawthecap is examined. The netnographic study resulted in a large amount of data, which was processed through a qualitive data analysis with the support of Gambarato's (2013) analytic considerations. This study unveils the prominence of transmedia mobilization. Furthermore, digital media are used to organize strikes and quickly respond to politicians' decisions regarding the climate issue. The #Withdrawthecap campaign uses most of the elements that defines transmedia storytelling which indicate that the narrative form is used to some extent to communicate climate change.

Abstract:
Since 2017, the world has seen a new digital social network added to the list of existing ones: TikTok. In addition to recreational use, the platform has become a cross-disciplinary tool, serving the visibility of businesses, activist groups, public figures and politicians alike, but also enabling communities to come together and exchange. Mobilizing a hashtag allows individuals to come together and recognize each other. Thisis the starting point of this thesis, as the use of hashtags enables TikTok to reference content in order to build up its database. The aim is therefore to understand how socio-numerical mobilization by and for the general public works using a hashtag. The study focuses on a high school mobilization that took place in France in 2020, #lundi14septembre, during which girls demanded the right to go to school wearingcrop tops. Having noted the illusion of a digital public space and a militant dimension, this thesis will demonstrate that the characteristics of socio-numerical mobilizations give the feeling of amore equal voice without actually being part of a real democratic process. By understanding the stakes behind a mobilization on TikTok,this work will demonstrate that socio-numerical mobilizations are symptomatic of our modern society's move towards new characteristics where the individual takes precedence over the collective, and the social cause becomes secondary to the search for visibility, emancipation and recognition

This paper examines a possible alternative for dissemination of information and communication technologies in rural areas. In this sense, aimed to analyse, evaluate and validate some statistics metrics generated by Google Analytics software to the site of the Consórcio Antiferrugem. The analysis considered the metrics generated for the period of June 30, 2007 to June 30, 2011, during which the site of the Consórcio Antiferrugem totaled four cropping season of soybeans. From the metric data of the tool in use, we sought to identify some kind of user profile and certain pattern of use of the site. The results indicate that the site proves to be an innovation communication, since it plays a mobilizing role in the formation of a scientific network in combating a plant disease. To achieve the objective proposed in this work, we chose to conduct a search of the exploratory case study. To conduct the study, sought to relate the data to access the site with the sowing dates for soybean, planting sites, weather forecasts and increases or decreases in the applications of fungicides in crops. In addition, there was an interview with creator and responsible for building the current site of the Consórcio Antiferrugem, plant pathologist and professor at UFRGS, Emerson Del Ponte. Data access within the site are presented nationally and then broken down to the states of Mato Grosso do Sul and Rio Grande do Sul, which had their individual statistical studies. The study revealed that it is difficult to determine exactly who in the soybean production chain accesses the site, if they are mostly researchers, extension workers, laboratory workers or farmers. However, it was possible to infer that their users are seeking technological information through the Internet, becoming key actors in the chain of soybeans. These actors are considered to be decision-makers in their regions, and disseminate information locally and this causes the main objective of the site of the Consórcio Antiferrugem is reached. Thus, the scientific network generated by the Consórcio Antiferrugem proves to be much higher than that measured by the number of accesses to the site, once face to face dialogue between the actors of the chain contributes to the dissemination of information about the disease and the occurrence of focuses on the regions.

A mobilization is a summoning of wills with a goal, seeking a change in the reality of those who summon it. This process can highlight the essential role of communication as a tool that aims to disseminate information and, above all, promote collectivization. This dual function is now provided by horizontal and constant interaction through interactive digital media devices. So, the central issue of this study aims to seek to understand the changes that shape the way we participate in social life, through the perception of pre-disposition of our society for mobilization processes more participatory and less centralized through these media. Our object of study, limited in MovieMobz, a site / social network where users can conduct mobilizations to watch certain movies that are not easy to distribute in their cities, it helps to reflect on this issue. Thus, the main objective of this work is to make the study of the processes of mobilization in the interactive digital media devices, through a case study of that site. This main objective will be achieved from the following specific objectives: to trace a relational overview between communication and mobilization processes; understand the defining characteristics of these processes of mobilization in digital interactive media: participation through the interconnection in network, the community and interactive collectivization and the questioning through the collective intelligence and, finally, to verify such mobilization processes from the site analysis MovieMobz, our unit case. In this research, therefore, the term "mobilization" is the theme cropping, operated from the inductive-qualitative method with case study of the site mentioned, and participatory research as one of the fundamental operational models. Outlined inside the MovieMobz, or by others social softwares, such as Twitter and Facebook, this mobilization requires a certain number of people to mark a cinema session, which explains a change of pre-filter mentality, where the company determines the productions that would go in theaters each week, to a post-filter dynamic, where the public decide whether or not to watch such movie. But as a business platform, the company is unable to engage individuals to this action of mobilization. This fact must be attributed by lower users' autonomy in decision-making process (questioning), and also by the own motivator, the unequal distribution of films, which may not be cohesive enough to be resolved by collective enterprise, since the social network MovieMobz had little or no interaction (collectivization) and therefore little or no participation. Anyway, the MovieMobz eventually becomes a mirror for future actions of public inclusion in decision-making media process. However, for this process to be doubly successful, we need the community to be effectively motivated and can act with freedom and autonomy.

Abstract:
Memories of Tiananmen: Politics and Processes of Collective Remembering in Hong Kong, 1989-2019 analyzes how collective memory regarding the 1989 Beijing student movement and the Tiananmen crackdown was produced, contested, sustained, and transformed in Hong Kong between 1989 and 2019. Drawing on data gathered through multiple sources such as news reports, digital media content, on-site vigil surveys, population surveys, and in-depth interviews with activists, rally participants, and other stakeholders, it identifies six key processes in the dynamics of social remembering: memory formation, memory mobilization, memory institutionalization, intergenerational transfer, memory repair, and memory balkanization. The book demonstrates how a socially dominant collective memory, even one the state finds politically irritable, can be generated and maintained through constant negotiation and efforts by a wide range of actors. While Memories of Tiananmen mainly focuses on the interplay between political changes and the Tiananmen commemoration in the historical period within which the society enjoyed a significant degree of civil liberties, it also discusses how the trajectory of the collective memory may take a drastic turn as Hong Kong’s autonomy is abridged. The book promises to be a key reference for anyone interested in collective memory studies, social movement research, political communication, and China and Hong Kong studies.

Abstract:
The monograph is devoted to the Internet communication space as one of the key resources of the political sphere of activity. The article describes the emergence of new, previously non-existent forms and ways of interaction between different social groups, individuals and strata of society; the formation of interactive platforms for public discussions, where subjects of communication can accumulate and articulate their opinions, design and change public and individual consciousness. The article highlights the need for government institutions to maintain the ability to manage society, and for the political system to respond to the changes taking place; the possibility of personalized user management based on their psychological characteristics in the interests of the initiators of communication. The article reveals the mobilization potential of the Internet space, used by various actors to attract various groups of the population and civil society institutions to political participation and increasing the importance of communication processes in the political governance of modern states; the expansion of the political segment of the Internet, allowing the use of modern digital technologies to implement various tasks, including ensuring the stability of the political system. The digital communication space is considered as a competitive environment, where the struggle between different political actors for the possession, interpretation and transmission of information as one of the key resources of power increases, which can contribute to the formation of new totalitarian and authoritarian regimes based on new communication technologies. It is characterized by the possibility of changing the consciousness of individuals with the help of information they receive in the online space to achieve the goals of various actors in real life, which gives new meaning and significance to the problem of freedom of information and communication in connection with the development of digital communication technologies. For students, postgraduates and teachers of political science universities and faculties, as well as a wide range of readers interested in issues of interaction between government and society in the virtual communication space.

Abstract:
Framework- In the context of the need for the production of knowledge in low- and middle-income countries, as well as in high-income countries with their socially vulnerable populations and the concomitant, minimal availability of funding for international research, university researchers should innovate. Goal- Discuss critical methodological issues in the process of designing and implementing international online survey research. This is done in the context of responding to the need for innovation in data collection tools to expand their responsiveness to the international field and the participants’ characteristics. Chapter organization- The chapter is organized with the presentation of online international research, first presenting insights for an alternative and innovative design, then formulating questions to remotely collect international data, renewing a dialogue setting, and exploring issues of recruitment, attrition and participation. It also reports successful experiences of the internationalization of research, intellectual partnerships and shared successes in the process of creating, exchanging and translating knowledge in the context of global health and the democratization of knowledge. The experiences are related to qualitative inspired research implemented in the continental sphere (Africa, South and North America, and Europe) with the creation of survey questionnaires for an exploration of narratives, experiences, and decisions. Final consideration- The mobilization of researchers’ social and professional networks, in addition to the constant reformulation of intellectual partnerships in research, are today the most common strategies to face the current challenges in academia. Innovation for methodological advances in audacious design for unpredictable fieldwork may require the revisiting of epistemological grounds. Emerging issues in this type of research, such as “research fatigue”, should be considered.

Abstract:
Digital and social media are increasingly integrated into dynamics of protest movements. They strengthen the mobilization power of movements, extend movement networks, facilitate new modes of protest participation, and lead to the emergence of new protest formations. Meanwhile, conventional media remain an important arena where the contest for public support between protesters and their targets play out. This book examines the role of the media—understood as an integrated system composed of both conventional media institutions and digital media platforms—in the formation and dynamics of the Umbrella Movement in Hong Kong in 2014. It grounds the analysis into the broad background of the rise of protest politics in Hong Kong since the early 2000s. More important, this book connects the case of the Umbrella Movement to recent theorizations of new social movement formations. It treats the Umbrella Movement as a case where connective action intervenes into a collective action campaign, leading to an extended occupation mixing old and new protest logics. The analysis shows how the media had not only empowered the protest movements in certain ways, but also introduced forces not conducive to the sustainability and efficacy of the movement. Conventional and digital media could also be used by the state to undermine protests. Through a combination of protester surveys, population surveys, analyses of news contents, and social media activities, this book reconstructs a rich and nuanced account of the Umbrella Movement, which helps shed light on numerous issues about the media-movement nexus in the digital era.

Abstract:
Over the past decades, waves of political contention involving the use of information and communication technologies have swept across the globe. The phenomenon stimulates the scholarship on digital communication technologies and contentious collective action to thrive as an exciting, relevant, but highly fragmentary and contested field with disciplinary boundaries. To advance the interdisciplinary understanding, Shifting Dynamics of Contention in the Digital Age outlines a communication-centered framework that articulates the intricate relationship between technology, communication, and contention. It further prods us to engage more critically with existing theories from communication, sociology, and political science on digital technologies and political movements. Given the theoretical endeavor, Shifting Dynamics of Contention in the Digital Age systematically explores, for the first time, the influence of mobile technology on political contention in China, the country with the world’s largest number of mobile and Internet users. Using first-hand in-depth interview and fieldwork data, it tracks the strategic choice of mobile phones as repertoires of contention, illustrates the effective mobilization of mobile communication on the basis of its strong and reciprocal social ties, and identifies the communicative practice of forwarding officially alleged “rumors” as a form of everyday resistance. Through this ground-breaking study, Shifting Dynamics of Contention in the Digital Age presents a nuanced portrayal of an emerging dynamics of contention—both its strengths and limitations—through the embedding of mobile communication into Chinese society and politics.

AbstractThe rise of digital activism in the Arab Spring and Euromaidan demonstrated the significance of social media and new technologies in mobilizing civil society activists in authoritarian regimes. Digital citizen activism has also been on the rise in post-Soviet Central Asia, with evidence that the October events in Kyrgyzstan in 2020 and the January riots in Kazakhstan in 2022 were fueled by heightened tension and the mobilization of citizens on social media. This chapter investigates how digital activism evolves and engages with authoritarian states in autocratic post-Soviet Central Asia. It is critical to understand how digital activists negotiate their roles of cooperation, contestation, and legitimation discourse (using the ( Lewis, D. (2013). Such a broad selection of cases widens the scope of this chapter and contributes to the understanding of digital citizen activism in non-Western settings. Ultimately, this chapter reveals the limits of digital activism in autocracies and how the authoritarian state manages to impose legitimation discourse on such activism.

AbstractFinding themselves on the front line of changes to how work is regulated and organized, platform workers need to be directly involved in the redefinition of skills according to a participatory and performative notion of digital citizenship. This is especially true in urban settings, where the relationship between workers and platforms has been shaping new forms of social interaction. The skills needed to keep up with these developments remain to be defined. Understanding skills development as a political process is crucial to ensuring individuals have the means to effectively navigate the platform economy and critically assess the opportunities it provides. Furthermore, such an approach will foster informed political engagement while counteracting manipulation or misinformation.

Abstract:
This chapter aims to analyze the practices of radical political communication within the context of social mobilizations whose emergence and initial spreading are inherently associated to social media. On the basis of a case study -the #YoSoy132, a university student mobilization during the 2012 electoral campaign in Mexico- the text analyzes the main uses of social media as part of the mobilizations and the interrelationships between online (communication) and offline collective action. The author concludes that, despite the importance of social media and the collective actions based on their use, even the participants recognize the necessity of going beyond the online space. Although social media pluralize the actors of political communication and even force its traditional actors to participate in alternative communication spaces, collective communicative action cannot be confined to the digital space, but it must be understood within the processes of social mobilization, in all its articulations and mediations.

Abstract This chapter provides an assessment of the current research on how people are mobilized into political action. We consider three key mobilization spheres: voluntary associations, informal social ties, and digital networks. Each of the three mobilizational spheres is discussed in detail and the findings, strengths, and weaknesses of empirical work is assessed. Within each sphere, we elaborate mobilization and demobilization processes including socialization of trust and cooperative norms, recruitment, civic skills, identities, information, and network characteristics such as composition. Finally, the chapter evaluates gaps in the research agenda and concludes with suggestions for future research.

Abstract:
This chapter provides a summary of new social movement literature, with a particular focus on the phases that social movements progress through as well as the tools (namely digital) that are being used to establish diaspora (as well as social movement) networks across the international community and provide for mobilization. The chapter particularly focuses on the theories of Herbert Blumer (Life Cycle of Social Problems) and Martin Sökefeld, who writes about mobilization of various diasporic communities using social movement theory. The chapter also focuses on identity theories and the importance of developing of collective identities for effective mobilization of movement communities (diasporic and social movement).

Abstract:
Summarizing the empirical results of the research and discussing our main theoretical achievements for the explanation of the new mobilizations of platform workers, Chapter 6 provides several arguments as to why a renewed social movement approach is key for understanding and explaining the new labour conflicts in the digital context. More specifically, we revisit the three core frames of references presented in the introductory chapter. On the bases of our empirical evidence we then suggest theoretical reflections aimed at combining the attention to structural conditions of conflicts, workers’ agency, and organizational dynamics, as well as the emergent power of eventful protests. In this way, we also single out the contribution that comes from the bridging of social movement studies and industrial relations studies. The chapter then highlights how our contribution sheds light on the specific characteristics of work affected by the new technological transformation as well as the mechanisms that trigger new collective identities and mobilization processes for workers. Finally, the conclusions bridges labour studies and social movement studies with debates on the rise of a new digital working class (cybertariat, info-proletariat, digital proletariat) making sense of processes of class mobilization that concerns the new precarious workers in general.

Abstract:
Digital transformation of the socio-economic system in the Republic of Moldova method is very actual and offers tools of diagnosis, evaluation, and observation that are accessible to the local actors of sustainable territorial development. The purpose of these tools is useful to draft relevant development projects, efficiently manage these projects, then evaluate them and estimate their impact. Research methods, data, and main results are intended for the actors of sustainable development to respect and favor the principles of participation, global approach, and partnership. They facilitate the mobilization of development partnerships that are composed of professionals who work in public services, private organizations, and active voluntaries in associations.

Abstract:
In this paper, we introduce the concept of “Strategic Digital Information Operations” (SDIOs), discuss the tactics and practices of the SDIOs, explain the main political goals of state and non-state actors in engaging with SDIOs at home and abroad, and suggest avenues for new research. We argue that the concept of the SDIOs presents a useful framework to discuss all forms of digital manipulation at both domestic and international levels organized by either state or non-state actors. While the literature has examined the military-political impacts of the SDIOs, we still don’t know much about societal issues that the SDIOs influence such as emotive political mobilization, intergroup relations, social cohesion, trust, and emotional resonance among target audiences.
