Abstract:

Abstract:
AbstractStarting from the concept and definition of littera in the Grammar treatises of the Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages, the contribution analyzes common graphic elements which were used by the scribes to create initials, ornamental patterns and the layout of the manuscript page. These elements and their functions were partly described in encyclopaedic works, e. g. of Isidor of Sevilla and Martianus Capella in the chapters about Geometry. Not only were these features well known through the study of the Artes, they also represented useful tools for the invention and production of medieval diagrams.

Abstract:
Research has been conducted to improve the efficiency of agricultural production by choosing technology and technical equipment based on a mathematical model, taking into account the peculiarities of location and production conditions of a farm. The limiting factors of the development of grain production are highlighted such as moisture content and the sum of temperatures during the growing season, frost-free period, etc. Basic soil tillage technologies that minimize the impact of limiting factors on the yield are considered. A generalized block diagramme of the selection process of technologies and technical means for the crop cultivation is presented. Constraints are formed that affect the choice of agricultural technology such as soil and climatic conditions, phytosanitary conditions, crop rotation, availability of seeds and equipment, etc. Optimization criteria have been substantiated that allow to choose technologies and technical means, ensuring cost reduction, energy saving and labor saving while following the specified agrotechnical deadlines of technological operations. A mathematical model has been developed with optimality criteria: consumption of fuels and lubricants, the number of machine operators and production cost. The model includes the following restrictions: the agroclimatic location of the farm, personnel potential, and fulfilment of a given amount of work. The model allows to evaluate agricultural technology and technical means according to the following parameters: the minimum amount of direct costs, the minimum consumption of fuel and lubricants and the necessary number of machine operators for the implementation of agricultural technology. This model will become the basis of the software, which will be used to test the results and data obtained on a specific farm. The use of this software will increase the efficiency of agricultural production by making informed management decisions for agricultural producers in the selection and implementation of technologies.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The article uses the unified UML modeling language to visualize production elements. To show some of the advantages of the proposed approach, the main components of the production system are defined: technological machines, operators, materials, products and the production process. A class diagram is used to represent the components. Defined attributes and methods of each class: attributes and methods to each class that define its properties and behavior. The Machine class can have attributes such as machine ID and Destination, and methods such as start() and stop(). Relationships between classes are established: association, aggregation, and composition to represent relationships between classes. The Production Process class can have an aggregation relationship with the Machine class, indicating that the production process consists of multiple machines. This work contains UML diagrams and description tables that make it possible to structure the activity of the technological process in production. The technological process of manufacturing products is shown, which is presented in detail on the state diagram.

Abstract:
The Boghol Valley is located in the Agadez region in northern Niger. It is a production basin where irrigated agriculture is the main activity. The latter occupies the vast majority of the population and is practiced all the year with groundwater as the only source of irrigation water. Despite the lack of knowledge about the quality of these waters, irrigation is being intensified and is likely to impact the water table. The objective of this work is to help characterize the waters of this valley. The methodological approach was based on the collection of water samples from vegetable wells/market garden wells based on a transect covering the whole valley. These waters were the subject of physical measurements in the field and chemical analyses in the laboratory by titrimetry, then photometry. In addition to the main component analysis, the results were processed using the Piper and Schoeller-Berkaloff diagrams. Also, the methods of sodium absorption rate (SAR), Wilcox, and residual sodium carbonate (RSC) were used. The results of the study show that the water is of good organoleptic quality. As for pH, the values are almost neutral in all works. Electrical conductivity ranges from 220.50 to 606.3 μs/cm and is

Abstract:
During the last four decades Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has attracted considerable attention in the OR community. Using DEA, the efficiency frontier is constructed based on assumptions concerning the production possibility set rather than a priori defining a functional relationship between inputs and outputs. In this contribution, we propose an algorithm to visualize the efficiency surface in a 3D diagram and to extract isoquants from the efficient hull based on different RTS assumptions which might be particularly helpful for presentation purposes. In doing so, we extend the existing literature which has concentrated on the visualization of production frontiers in 2D diagrams to the visualization of efficient rather than fully efficient hulls in 3D diagrams. Displaying a fully efficient hull, however, does not reflect all properties of the production possibility set as weakly efficient frontier segments are missing.

Abstract:
Denim fabric sort number 78032 is one type of fabric in the last 4 years almost every month produced by PT Apac Inti Corpora. In the continuity of denim fabric production process, there are data defects (non-conformity) that causes the quality of denim fabric decreases. To maintain the consistency of the quality of products produced in accordance with the specified specifications, it is necessary to control the quality of the production process that has been running for this. Multivariate control charts attributes used are multivariate control charts np using the number of samples and the proportion of disability data with correlation between variables while the chi-square distance control charts use squared distances with uncorrelated data between variables. The results showed that in the multivariate control chart np there were 2 out-of-control observations in the phase II data using control limits from phase I data already controlled by the value of BKA of 636321.4. While in the chi-square distance control chart showed all observations are in in-control condition with BKA value of 0.06536. Controlled production process obtained multivariate process capability value for multivariate control np diagram of 0.625142 <1 which means the process is not capable, while the value of process capability in the chi-square distance control chart is 1.1329> 1 which means the process is capable. Abstract:
In this article I explore the participation of Chilean artist Catalina Parra as a visualizer and diagrammer in certain editorial publications (Manuscritos Magazine and some books and catalogues of V.I.S.U.A.L.). These works offer a key to the analysis of the different production techniques of the artist, being fundamental montage techniques and theories form the basis of this exploration as it is through her work that words and images are manipulated as compositional material on the pages/media to be reviewed and in her photomontages. And it is in this common exercise where effects could be recognised that allow us to problematise certain states of art, as well as aesthetic and intellectual questions.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Panasab glass is one type of glass that can absorb some of the heart's heat so that the temperature in the room is more comfortable. One of the national glass companies that produce hot glass monitors the silvering coating process. The silvering method is considered less effective because it is expensive. Therefore, in this paper, the process of controlling the quality of hot glass is carried out on the quality characteristics of the left and right CD edge distortion, which is the length of the roll marks on the right and left sides of the net glass that affect the presence or absence of distortion in the visual check results. The two quality characteristics correlate with each other. Therefore, quality control is carried out using a Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA) control chart to monitor process variability and averages. MEWMA control chart statistics are affected by the weighting value . The quality characteristic data of panasab glass is divided into phase 1 and phase 2. Phase 1 is used to obtain an in-control parameter estimate (IC) which is then used for monitoring phase 2. Quality monitoring in phase 1, the process has been statistically controlled after iterations have been carried out. By using =0.4. Meanwhile, phase 2, based on the MEWMA control chart, shows that the producton procrss of panasab glass production has not been controlled statistically. Based on process capability analysis, the results obtained that the level of precision and accuracy of the quality of panasab glass products is still low. So it can be concluded that the production process of panasav glass is not yet capable.

Abstract:
The various challenges of a sustainable industrial production such as demographic change and resource scarcity induce the increasing need of a resource-efficient, eco-friendly, flexible and adaptive production with human-centered and ergonomic suitable working stations and conditions. The novel production approach of human-robot collaboration promises to contribute to meeting these requirements. Thus, the paper presents the characteristics and possible variants of humanrobot collaboration and elaborates its potentials for sustainable production. However, for a successful implementation evidence for the advantageousness of human-robot collaboration has to be proven. Therefore, a concept for evaluating human-robot collaboration in concrete use cases is suggested. Keywords: ternary diagramm, ressourcenverknappung, produktlebenszyklen, kollaborationen, klimawandel

Abstract:
Compared with the rod-pumping oil production system of the conventional pumping unit, the structure of the down-hole oil-water separation system from the rod pump is more complicated, and the down-hole working conditions are worse. Existing technology no longer meets the needs of its downhole condition diagnosis. It seriously affected the production output and economic benefits of the oil field. Because of this, a fault pre-diagnosis method for the downhole oil-water separation system from the rod pump was proposed. Through the theoretical calculation of oil well production and pump efficiency. After field investigation and collection of many suspension point indicators diagrammed for comparison and analysis, the injection pump’s failure probability was 90% above. At this time, the extraction pumps work normally. Therefore, a reverse calculation method is proposed: establish and solve the static/dynamic load model of the production pump, and obtain the load-displacement function of the production pump. The load-displacement function of the suspension point derived from the suspension point indicator diagram is subtracted from the calculated load-displacement function of the production pump to obtain the load-displacement function of the injection pump so that the working condition diagnosis can be performed according to the injection pump work diagram. In the application of 18 wells within the field, the judgment result of injection pump failure and the result of pump inspection coincided with 91.3%, which verified the correctness of the calculation model. This method provides necessary theoretical guidance for the field application and working condition diagnosis of rod pump downhole oil-water separation system and is of great significance for improving the comprehensive benefit of oilfield production.

Abstract:
Quality is the main thing that needs to be considered by every company. Ceriping Bintang Putra Bu Slamet is an UMKM (Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah) that produces cassava chips. During production, there are three quality characteristics, namely large crumbs defects, small crumbs, and chips sticking together. It is important to control these defects to produce quality products according to customer needs. This research was conducted from July to August 2021. The purpose of this study was to control the production quality of cassava chips using the Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA) control chart and multivariate process capability analysis. The MEWMA control chart is used to detect the shift in the process average which is more sensitive using weights (λ), while the process capability analysis is used to determine the process performance. The implementation of the MEWMA control chart is carried out in two stages, namely phase I control to obtain the optimal weighting and control limits so that it can be used in phase II control to monitor the average process for the next period. Based on the results of the analysis, the optimal weighting is λ =0,4 with BKA=201,7434, GT=113,538, and BKB=0 in phase I control. Then, the results of phase II control show a shift in the average process in a better direction. In addition, the results of the process capability analysis show an improvement in the performance of the production process from July 2021 to August 2021 with MCpm values of 0,535 and 1,147

Abstract:
The CCT and two DCCT diagrams were constructed for the HSLA steel containing Cr, V, Nb, and N microadditions, taking into account industrial processing parameters of this material in a seamless tubes rolling mill. The typical finish hot rolling temperature of 1173 K was used for the construction of the standard CCT diagram and the effect of previous austenite deformation at this temperature was evaluated in the DCCT diagram. Another DCCT diagram was developed after heating at 1553 K, followed by plastic deformation at 1173 K. The prior austenite grain size in the hot rolled material after heating at 1173 K was approx. 10 ?m, the heating of the as-cast material at 1553 K resulted in the prior austenite grain size over 200 ?m. The effect of the previous austenite deformation after low-temperature heating on the CCT diagram was negligible. The high-temperature heating showed a great influence on the austenite decomposition processes. The Ferrite-start temperature was significantly reduced at high cooling rates and the preferred decomposition of coarse grained austenite to acicular ferrite suppressed the bainite transformation at medium cooling rates. The developed DCCT diagrams can be used for the prediction of austenite decomposition products during the cooling of the seamless tubes from the finish rolling temperature. The CCT diagram can be utilized for the quality heat treatment of tubes.

Abstract:
Many new particles, mostly hadrons, are produced in high-energy collisions between atomic nuclei. The most popular models describing the hadron-production process are based on the creation, evolution and decay of resonances, strings or quark–gluon plasma. The validity of these models is under vivid discussion, and it seems that a common framework for this discussion is missing. Here, for the first time, we explicitly introduce the diagram of high-energy nuclear collisions, where domains of the dominance of different hadron-production processes in the space of laboratory-controlled parameters, the collision energy and nuclear-mass number of colliding nuclei are indicated. We argue that the recent experimental results suggest the location of boundaries between the domains, allowing for the first time to sketch an example diagram. Finally, we discuss the immediate implications for experimental measurements and model development following the proposed sketch of the diagram.

Abstract:
Despite the high usage of diagrams and images in Wikipedia, as well as across all Wikimedia projects, few studies have been conducted on the role of visual contents within the online encyclopedia and on the collaborative creation of diagrams. This article describes research that brought a group of designers into Wikipedia, with the goal of exploring how information designers act on this platform and how other users react to their involvement. Inspired by the WikiEdu Program, we engaged postgraduate design students in the creation of diagrams for Wikipedia and then followed the reactions of both users and designers to their work. The results of the experiment have been evaluated using built-in Wikipedia functions (e.g., page history and discussion pages) and through an anonymous survey among the students involved. This experience brought to light the different consideration granted to images and diagrams with respect to texts on the online encyclopedia. It also allowed a reflection on the role of designers in the knowledge production process, as well as on the meaning of producing “open” contents, which are meant to be improved by other people.

Abstract:
PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to compare the well-known value stream mapping (VSM) with a recent tool named waste identification diagram (WID), regarding the capacity of information representation and easiness of interpretation.Design/methodology/approachThe work begins with a brief literature review comparing the main tools for representation of production units, with special emphasis on VSM and WID, in terms of ability to identify several types of waste. Then, the authors developed the VSM and the WID of a specific production unit and after that several groups composed by students of Industrial Engineering (IE) and/or professionals from industry were asked to analyse/interpret only one of these diagrams. Finally, a questionnaire with closed and open questions was applied to the groups to evaluate the analysed tool.FindingsIn general, the results revealed that WID is more effective than VSM and participants recognized that most of the WID elements are relevant. Specifically, a measure coined overall effectiveness was applied (based on the response time and percentage of correct interpretations), indicating a clear advantage of WID (22 per cent of correct interpretations per minute) compared to VSM (9 per cent of correct interpretations per minute). The main drawback pointed to the WID is the lack of representation of the information flow.Originality/valueThis work contributes to the IE field by revealing WID as a new promising graphical tool for representation of production units, especially in terms of identification/quantification of wastes. The tool was quantitative and qualitatively evaluated by persons both from academia and industry.

Abstract:

Abstract:
One type of orchid that is known to the public is the type of Phalaenopsis amabilis or the moon orchid. Orchid cultivation is inseparable from production risks that are influenced by internal and external factors. This risk allows the occurrence of an event that may cause losses. This study aims to identify sources of risk, analyze sources of risk priority management, and propose actions to control the production of Orchid Bulan. This research was conducted by Salsa Orchid, located in Cihideung Village, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency, West Java Province. Identification and analysis of the impact of the risks posed are analyzed using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method, while to analyze the source of risk that is a priority for treatment is analyzed using a Fishbone Diagram. The study results show that critical values that must be addressed immediately are insufficient sunlight, too close spacing, low level of labor discipline, and less strategic production locations. The proposed handling of the risk of lack of sunlight is carried out by adjusting the intensity of light from the existing shade according to the needs of the moon orchids. Spacing that is too close is overcome by rearranging the position of the spacing so that the orchid leaves do not cover one another. The low level of labor discipline is overcome by intensive supervision of the work and employee work results. Production locations that are not strategic are overcome by using air conditioners and blowers to regulate air circulation, temperature, and humidity in the greenhouse

Abstract:
The Pareto diagram is a powerful tool for identifying the significant factors influencing objects, processes, services, etc. In the production sphere, it is very suitable for analysis of defects and their impact. In this work are summarized the types of defects that occur in the production of headrest covers for car seats. Analysis was made of both the frequency of occurrence of defects and the financial losses from them. The research is done on the whole production range (all projects) proceeded in a given month, on product families and on specific products. The three defects with the highest frequency of occurrence were identified. For them, additional study was conducted to determine the impact of the type of used material on internal scrap calculated as an expense in euros.Based on the obtained results, recommendations are made for improving the work and its results.

Abstract:
This work studies a medical product development, assembly, and packaging company that uses a paper-based method to track jobs through their assembly process. The paperwork often has errors, which must be corrected before distribution, causing delays in manufacturing and shipment and resulting in lost time and money. The project team analyzed the company's production process to identify areas for improvement. Through statistical analyses of the company’s process data, the team established error categorization, location, and probability of occurrence. In order to address sources of error, the project team diagrammed the company's manufacturing floor and created a list of issues within each step of the manufacturing process as well as potential solutions to these problems. The team created a simulation of the manufacturing process and used this tool to analyze potential process changes to decrease the number of employee hours wasted in order to fix discrepancies. The simulation proved to be an invaluable tool that helped the company better understand their process. It helped to identify which jobs create the most errors, how many errors occur per month, and how much money the company loses on time spent correcting the errors. Eleven potential solutions were considered, but two of them appeared to yield the best results. Implementing a total quality management (TQM) system would conservatively reduce error counts by 71.3%. Implementing a start quantity to the company's electronic system would conservatively reduce mean hours wasted from 22.60 to 21.73 hours per month and mean salary lost from $519.82 to $499.80 per month. Using insights from the simulation, the project team then coordinated with management to decide whether error rates or time and salary spent to correct errors were more important to address. As of this writing, as a result of this study, the company is taking steps to implement a TQM system in order to decrease errors in their job tracking process.

Abstract:
I generate diagrams with the purpose of understanding the narratives, form, and aesthetics of sociocultural and political structures. This leaves room for the production of artistic works that can be introduced into the machinery of everyday life. The idea of the diagram emerged almost at the same time as the idea of the machine, although we cannot really tell which existed first. However, it seems clear that both are intrinsically connected. Machines and diagrams can be seen as a representation of a narrative system that leads the process of the creation of knowledge. What they share is essentially narrative: we create machines using diagrammatic narratives, and with those same narratives, we create knowledge. Narratives are the real machines.

Abstract:
Fabrics is one of the most important needs of human life, so demand for clothing is greatly increased. Polyester fabric is a superior product at PT Daya Manunggal Salatiga because it has good quality. The quality of the fabric is very important because it is very influential in the competition to attract consumer interest. To maintain the consistency of the quality of the products produced in accordance with specifications, it is necessary to control the quality of the production process. The quality characteristics used in the production process of polyester fabric are thick layers, thin layers, two weft threads partially and two weft threads one more interconnected with one another, so multivariate control diagrams are used. Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA) and T2 Hotelling are control diagrams for monitoring mean process. The results showed that the MEWMA control diagram with lambda 0.7 yielded controlled results with a BKA value of 14.56021. Whereas in the Hotelling T2 control diagram a data reduction of four revisions was made to achieve controlled results with a final BKA value of 10.10928. The controlled production process obtained multivariate process capability values of 0.9672105 <1 which means the process is not capable. Comparison of results from the two methods shows that the MEWMA control diagram is more sensitive than the T2 Hotelling control diagram. Keywords: Fabric, Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA), Hotelling T2, Process Capability Analysis

Abstract:
This paper introduces a technique for modeling manufacturing systems using block diagrams. The blocks represent linear transformations of dimensionless noise vectors to normalized quality characteristic vectors. These block diagrams are used to model on-line adjustment procedures using generalized inverses. This adjustment strategy is shown to guarantee minimum quality loss as defined by Taguchi if the required adjustments have no active constraints, and is effective for coupled linear systems. The surface mount of large body packages serves as an example of the modeling techniques. Block diagrams of the surface mount process are developed for a production system incorporating on-line adjustments and for the same system without adjustments. Data from preproduction runs support the model’s predictions of bias, variance, and yield.

Abstract:
Currently, a number of fish farms operate in the Kaliningrad region, which specialize in breeding aquaculture objects, including common carp (Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1758) and clariid catfish (Clarias gariepinus Linnaeus, 1758) and their further sale in live or chilled whole form. There is not complex processing, as a rule. The paper shows the need for biotechnological processing of aquaculture and ways to use the waste obtained during filleting for production of minced fish and, later, minced semi-finished products. The lack of integrated use of waste from fish processing industries is a common problem in the fishing industry, so the need to solve this problem is obvious. For the efficient processing of fish raw materials, it is necessary to create a technology that will make it possible to maximize the use of waste from fish production, including the use of biotechnological methods, but at the same time ensure high quality of finished products. The paper presents the mass composition of common carp (Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1758) and clariid catfish (Clarias gariepinus Linnaeus, 1758), developed a technological diagram for the complex biotechnological processing of aquaculture objects in the conditions of small enterprises of fish processing farms, proposed a description of technological processes and a machine-hardware diagram. Integrated technology implies the presence of the main and additional production. An additional diagram is associated with the production of imitation fat, the basis for which can be ground fat-containing components pre-treated with enzymes, such as tioshka and milk, as well as fish broths obtained by cooking collagen-containing components (heads, fins, tails). This technological approach can be used in the conditions of “Belvodkhoz” enterprises engaged in the cultivation and subsequent processing of aquaculture objects, for example, Fish Farm “Volma”.

Abstract:
Compoundly weighted Voronoi diagram is difficult to construct because the bisector is fairly complex. In traditional algorithm, production process is always extremely complex and it is more difficult to graphic display because of the complex definition of mathematic formula. In this paper, discrete algorithms are used to construct compoundly weighted Voronoi diagrams. The algorithm can get over all kinds of shortcomings that we have just mentioned. So it is more useful and effective than the traditional algorithm. The results show that the algorithm is both simple and useful, and it is of high potential value in practice.
