Abstract:
The changes that are taking place in modern social reality make the process of socialization of Russian youth more difficult, which in turn forces young people to find ways of social behavior that are optimal for themselves. Very often, such behavior becomes deviant from the norms existing in society - deviant. The authors of the article draw attention to the fact that the uncertainty of social reality, in addition to traditional deviations, encourages new types of deviations, for example, cyberbullying, virtual fraud, computer, telephone addiction. According to the authors of the work, the emergence of deviant behavior of Russian youth depends on a number of factors of the macrosocial environment: digitalization, informatization, pragmatism, overconsumption, a decrease in the level of spirituality, the lack of generally accepted ideals, the ideology of tolerance. The identified factors contribute to the fact that modern young people tend to try various social practices, not allowing the thought that this may adversely affect themselves and the people around them.

Abstract:
A growing number of scholars state that the Internet presents “some unique opportunities for deviant behavior” (Rogers et al, 2006). However, although some researchers have studied this issue, the factors leading teenagers to adopt a web-deviant behavior have received less attention. From this background, the present article sets out to explore the facilitators of cybercrime. The author will explain the diffusion of web-deviant behavior amongst young people through an analysis of the literature while taking into consideration the conceptual model of diffusion of innovation by Greenhalgh et al. Abstract:
Full-fledged development and optimal adaptation of a person in society is an urgent task of society. While reducing the risks of deviant behavior affects the psychological health and well-being of the subject. Their prevention is largely due to the peculiarities of choosing a life path. The novelty of this article is that it is devoted to the problem of choosing a life path for young men who are on active military service and have a tendency to deviant behavior. The study involved military conscripts from 18 to 23 years of age in the number of 50 young men. Test and projective techniques were used. The study established the relationship between the types of attitudes associated with the choice of young people's life path and their propensity to various forms of deviant behavior. The results show that young men who have hedonistic attitudes to choosing a life path do not tend to develop deviant behavior, while young men who are serving in the army, who have value and creative attitudes, tend to deviate. In addition, military personnel who have creative attitudes to choosing their life path show signs of addictive behavior and aggression when serving in the army. And the creative attitude of choosing a life path causes the emergence of addictions.

Abstract:
This paper seeks to establish strategies that can be used to mitigate the influence of televised entertainment programmes using smartphones on youth deviant behaviour. Televised entertainment programmes using smartphones have become a major means by which young people learn and understand the world around them. To understand the behaviour that young people resort to, we must pay more attention to the influences of the portrayal of deviant behaviour in televised programmes and smartphones in the 21st century. Young people learn how to dress, walk, dance, and talk by copying what is portrayed in selected television programmes while using their smart phone. This paper used qualitative research method. Purpose sampling, semi-structure interview in a focus group was used to collect data from the participants. The study sampled twelve young people from Madonsi village in South Africa to participate in the study and ethical consideration was thought-out. The study revealed that parents should be technologically advanced to be able to block programme contents by using a password for their satellite signal decoder to prevent young people‘s exposure to deviant behaviour on television. Parents should monitor their children‘s smartphones on activities undertaken. The study recommends that National Youth Policy 2020-2030 should address youth media health issues aspect to prevent the influence of media on youth deviant behaviour.

Abstract:
Researched is the role of traditional educational institutions in regulation of deviant behavior of young people. In social reality of young people, acts of deviant behavior are endowed with new semantic content. Previously unambiguously condemned behavioral acts associated with attitude towards the teacher, the relationship in the school team and the education system as a whole in modernconditions are interpreted ambiguously in youth environment. Meanwhile, basic foundations of universally significant norms, based on life-meaning values of the core of Russian culture, continue to be reproduced in social practices of Russian youth, thanks to mechanisms of self-regulation, that are based on mentality, archetypes, and habitus. The theme itself, the attitude to objects of education, understanding the meaning of their purpose, functions that they perform in society, are closely related to those key needs, that carriers of the cultural code have long invested in these objects. That is why in the social reality of young people hybrid forms of semantic relationship to universally significant norms begin to coexist. Young people more and more often determine for themselves, that behavioral acts should be considered appropriate for themselves, and which are deviating in the field of education.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the social and cultural foundations in modern society, which stimulate the embedding of examples of deviant behavior in the process of regulating social interactions in the youth environment. The theoretical and methodological analysis of the main provisions of the structural-functional school (Durkheim, Merton) is presented, the problems of functional integration of cultural elements (Sorokin), the contradictions between culture and social relations (Lapin), the interaction of cultural and social in the process of social development (Ahiezer). Special attention was paid to the correlation of social and cultural tools for regulating individual behavior (Alexander), and the consistency of social and cultural in society (Kravchenko). The author's analysis allowed to determine the main theoretical contradictions of the social mechanism of transformations of social institutions (Zaslavskaya), describe the role of macro-institutions in society (Dimans, Levicheva), and identify the impact of social uncertainty (Chuprov) and social deformations (Kudryavtsev) on society. Conclusions are made about the influence of socio-cultural conditions on the formation of deviant behavior patterns in conditions of uncertainty and the discontinuity of social interactions among young people. Social and cultural grounds determine the nature and direction of regulation of social interactions in society and the predominance of patterns of acceptable, normative or deviating from generally accepted norms of behavior in the mechanism of regulation. The mismatch of cultural and social grounds, as one of the key causes of this phenomenon, is studied from the positions of classical and modern sociological concepts. This discrepancy leads to an increase in illegal practices among young people. The above-mentioned processes of mismatch are accompanied by: dysfunction of macroinstitutions; deformation of the mechanism of normative regulation; reinterpretation of normative patterns in the social reality of young people; giving them a new, deviant meaning. The consequence of these processes is the formation of hybrid forms of regulation of social interactions in the youth environment, when normative patterns coexist with patterns of deviant behavior in the social reality of youth.

Abstract:
Prostitution is a negative social phenomenon that is present in all stages of development of human civilization. As such, it appeared in various intensities and forms, causing serious psychological, moral and legal consequences. From the ancient period to the present day, prostitution has survived, but the view of it has varied in different historical periods. Prostitution is inextricably linked to young people and as a deviant behavior has justifiably provoked negative reactions from society. The aim of this paper is to present the attitude towards prostitution in different state and social systems, from ancient Greece and Rome to modern times, through different historical epochs. Having in mind the negative impact and deviance of prostitution, as well as its negative impact on young people, a special chapter deals with the role of youth safety culture in prostitution prevention, and especially the importance and stability of the family in educating and raising healthy young people with normal moral attitudes and principles.

Abstract:
Media is one of the main agents of socialization that affects youth the most. Young adults are majority time are surrounded by the media, which brings me to my main question, "How is Mass Media Affecting Socialization in Children and Young Adults in Albania?" To understand this question one must know and understand what socialization is. The socialization process is a very dramatic impact on a child's life. Socialization is a "Continuing process whereby an individual acquires a personal identity and learns the norms, values, behavior, and social skills appropriate to his or her social position". Mass media has enormous effects on our attitudes and behavior which makes it an important contributor to the socialization process. in some ways mass media can serve as a positive function. It helps there to be more diversity, we can learn more about things that are going on in different countries. It can help you learn new things you did not know. Sadly Media can serve as a negative function in young people life. Young people want to be accepted by society and the media creates the ideal image that tells you what the characteristics are to be accepted and to be able to fit in with society. They show what you should look like, how you can look like this, and where to go to buy these things that will make you look right. This is why many young women deal with anorexia because they want to look like the ideal type that the media displays. Media also influences young people to misbehave. Media shows that being deviant makes you cool and look tough and that it's okay to do deviant things. Statistics show that when young people watch violence on television it increases their appetites to become involved in violence. It opens their minds to violence and makes them aware of crimes and people acting deviant. Many people think that the media does not play a role in the socialization process as much as family, peers and education. But in fact the media plays a strong role in the socialization process. The aim of this study is to see the positive and negative effects that the Albanian media plays in the socialization process in Albania.

IntroductionEpidemiological data indicate that 30% to 50% of young people contact the child psychiatrist for behavioral disorders problems. Protective factors research that reduce the risk of conduct disorders are just as important as the research of risk factors. The aim of this work is to introduce the preventive factors in the reduction of conduct disorders, including 4 domains: individual, family, school and community. The emphasis is placed on preventive factors at the community level, which are covered by the national, state and local policies that support programs oriented towards children and young people. Good infrastructural community support enable young people to participate in activities where they have opportunities to make choices, make decisions and share responsibility. These experiences help young people to develop new skills, increase their self-confidence and make the difference, while such programs help adults to create a basis for understanding and working together with young and engaged people.ConclusionThe interest in the behavior of young people and their perspective creates a culture of care for young people instead of a culture of ignoring or even marking behavior among young people as deviant and antagonistic, which has a significant preventive effect on the development of behavior disorder.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:
Abstract. The beginning of the new Millenia brings new social challenges adjoint with the antisocial behavior of the youth. Crime rates are clearly on the rise among the young people, and their crimes in turn significantly worsen the criminal situation in the society as a whole. The trend can be also observed in the raise of drug abuse among the younger generation, that provokes even more criminal acts. Minors are dragged into the criminal business (such as drug trafficking etc.), nudged to the side of different sexual deviances. Considering this, knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of deviantology among the specialist working with minors are especially relevant and important today. Teachers and psychologist are the part of that cohort; therefore, we talk about their professional ability to inhibit the growth of antisocial behavior among the minors. The goal of the study was to assess the level of expertise in the field of deviant behavior of minors among the future educators and psychologists, to research the student’s opinions on deviant persons and identify their social and professional responsibility in the sphere of pedagogical and psychological prevention of deviancy. Methods. Methodology of the research is based on the subject-oriented approach to the study of a person, which explores the person traits introspectively, considering the person as a carrier of an individual worldview, a certain system of individual meanings and reasons. That approach supposes that persons behavior tends to be repetitive in the most different situations happening as a result of the intervening and interplaying objective and subjective factors. In order to achieve the chosen goal, the authors have used a method of survey. They surveyed 144 pedagogic and psychology juniors age 20 – 25. The sample consisted of the students who not only possessed a basic level knowledge but also a personal opinion on the questions of deviant behavior. Results. The authors have found the following: 1) the cognitive component shows that students have relevant notions on deviant behavior, its predictors and age characteristics; 2) the affective component is more differentiated and heterogeneous then a cognitive one; 3) conative component lets us suppose that school is a key factor in minors’ socialization, but lacks powers to prevent and correct the deviant behavior of kids and young people. Scientific novelty. The achieved results show the necessity to provide psychology and pedagogic students the knowledge in the field of deviantology. The work widens our ideas on cognitive, affective and conative components of their learning and professional competence. Empirical significance. The findings of the work point us to the importance of the additional curriculum hours dedicated to the deviant behavior studies, choosing the most effective educational methods and technics in that matter, as well as offering psychological trainings raising stress resilience, forming self-regulation and constructive communication in complex life situations.

Abstract:
The study presents modern approaches to the prevention of deviant behaviour used by the psychological service. The relevance of this subject matter is due to the rapid spread of deviant behaviour among adolescents and young adults. The purpose of the study is to analyse the features of the psychological service in work with persons with deviant behaviour. The paper uses theoretical methods of analysis of the research problem, based on which the prospect of further research in the empirical aspect is highlighted. In accordance with the tasks set, the study analysed the main aspects and objectives of the modern psychological service. Features of deviant behaviour among adolescents and young people and its main causes are highlighted. Current approaches to preventing the spread and reduction of deviant behaviour in the work of psychological services are described. The theoretical study revealed that modern approaches to the prevention of deviant behaviour, operated by the psychological service, are described by the presence of primary theoretical knowledge about the features of deviant behaviour in its employees, in particular, the causes and factors of its occurrence. The orientation of preventive work towards elimination and prevention of deviant behaviour within the tasks and competences of the psychological service is substantiated. It is indicated that taking into account the theoretical foundations of the concept of deviant behaviour, employees of the psychological service develop a plan for providing psychological assistance, which calls for systematic, phased preventive work. The need to use modern methods of preventive approaches, including training sessions, the use of information technology and psychological art therapy techniques, has been confirmed. This approach, identified as a result of theoretical research, will ensure the effectiveness of preventive work of the psychological service towards prevention of deviant behaviour

Based on the analysis of criminal anti-culture, the author proposes to apply an integrated approach aimed at developing a number of personal resources in minors that create a psychological basis for opposing the imposition and adoption of criminal ideology; toughening responsibility for involving minors in antisocial activities; Clause 5, Article 29 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation with the aim of the possibility of applying censorship in relation to the propaganda and romanticization of the attributes of the criminal world; propaganda of family values and patriotism; effective implementation of the concept of state family policy in the Russian Federation; improving the educational level of law enforcement officers in the field of developmental psychology, as well as youth groups; ensuring the availability of leisure for minors (the introduction of free circles and sections, involving minors in public life); state support for social projects that contribute to the formation of active citizenship and law-abiding behavior among young people, ensuring a targeted approach to these projects. The conducted scientific research allows us to study in more detail the phenomenon of criminal anti-culture, as well as draw conclusions about the possibility of introducing a number of preventive measures, which will reduce the level of deviant behavior in the youth environment.

Abstract:
The article considers the problems of deviant behavior in the modern Ukrainian youth environment. Features of the organization of leisure activities for children of deviant behavior are revealed. Improperly organized leisure has been shown to be associated with a significant increase in antisocial processes in society among young people, children, adolescents and other vulnerable groups. It was found that well-organized leisure activities will allow the social worker to change his view of the events that have taken place, to re-evaluate plans for the future and to identify priority areas for future professional intervention. In modern conditions it is necessary to pay attention to the need to find new organizational forms of involving children, especially with deviant behavior, in leisure activities in order to form a healthy lifestyle, distract them from bad habits, and prevent crime. It is proved that leisure significantly influences the formation of moral guidelines and values of children, their hobbies, interests and socialization in general. In the leisure sphere, their interests and needs, personal and social roles are realized, activity and creative initiative are developed, and new values are sought through the free choice of activities. The potential of leisure lies in a wide range of cognitive, educational, recreational, creative opportunities.

Abstract:
Introduction: Young people are more and more inactive, which has numerous well-known negative effects on their health. Several studies indicate that inactive lifestyle disposes people to sit in front of the television, which increases agression and decreases the willingness of reading. There is also a strong link between inactivity and an increase of body mass, deterioration of anthropometric parameters, and deviant behaviour. Aims: The aim of the study was to find out, on the basis of two cross-sectional surveys, the changes occurred within eight years in the free-time activity of Hungarian young people aged between 15 and 19 years. Methods: Data obtained from two surveys conducted by the National Institute for Family and Social Policy, Hungary in 2000 and 2008 including 1780 and 2018 young people, respectively, were analysed and compared. Results: The number of young people regularly involved in sport activity increased significantly, while their media-consumption failed to decrease. Physically active young people are more health-conscious, but regular sporting activity did not expel smoking, which was associated with a sedentary lifestyle and television watching. Conclusions: These data reveal new responses of a new generation; watching televison still takes the largest part of their free time activity, but use of computers, and participation in social activities are not necessarily increase sedentary lifestyle and deviant habits. Internet has positive effects on the regularity of their physical activity. Orv. Hetil., 2013, 154, 581–589.

According to the suicidal state in the world, Kazakhstan ranks third after China and Russia. This situation among children and young people gives reason to think about the education of children in preschool age, especially in primary school. Starting from the youngest years, it is necessary to instill in their consciousness and sense of valuing their own life and the lives of others. In order to focus the attention of social educators on this problem, we offer a plan of work with students and their parents. An important way to overcome suicide and deviant behavior among adolescent children is, firstly, to provide preschool organizations with social teachers; secondly, to work with primary school students, to strengthen a separate social teacher; thirdly, to include an event on the prevention of suicide and deviant behavior among students in the work plan of a social teacher of small schools.

Abstract:
Background: Sexual relations are a recurrent theme in drug treatment that aims for a holistic inclusion of concerns considered important in young people's lives. Nevertheless, it remains understudied how counselors attend to this theme Aim: To investigate the discourses on sexual relations in drug treatment for young people provided by the Scandinavian welfare state of Denmark Analysis: Drawing on qualitative interviews with 16 counselors the analysis first identifies three discourses that legitimize sexual relations as a theme in drug treatment by linking the theme to a) pleasure, b) risks, and c) problems. These discourses legitimize the theme by constructing sexual relations as part of the good life, as potentially harmful, or as related to past trauma triggering present problems. Second, the analysis identifies a gendered storyline on sexual relations in exchange economies, e.g., sugar dating, described by some counselors as “prostitution-like” behavior. Findings: The gendered storyline is almost exclusively linked to young women's behavior and produces a gendered shame by indicating deviant femininity. Simultaneously, the storyline taboos how the young men may experience vulnerable sexual relations in exchange economies Conclusion: Alternative discourses can provide a broader repertoire of subject positions to the benefit of all genders.

Abstract:
In an attempt to understand youth-related antisocial behaviour, UK social policy has typically sought answers from the edge; investigating the motivations of young people perpetrating deviant behaviour or exploring the experiences of victims. Equally polarised and sensationalist narratives are present in journalistic accounts, with Knight's Hood Rat and BBC documentary The Scheme both depicting the lives of young people in ‘disadvantaged’ neighbourhoods as on the margins of society. Drawing on ethnographic research conducted in a Scottish housing estate, this paper calls for a localised and situated approach to understanding ‘the antisocial’. The empirical data shows that young people do not fit easily into the dualist categories of ‘perpetrator’ or ‘victim’. Despite living in what could be classed an ‘antisocial’ place the majority of young people's everyday experiences were not spent on the margins but rather somewhere in-between, while their own identities were described as normal and unspectacular. The paper concludes by emphasising the value of research that situates understandings of ‘the antisocial’ within its everyday social context. This offers us the opportunity to take a broader analysis of young lives and crucially re-establish the connection between lives on the margins and the ‘missing middle’.

A socio-psychological survey and clinical-psychological research were conducted (level of alexithymia; intensity of internet addiction; individual-characterological personality traits; individual style of coping strategies, behavioral patterns and resources of personality) in the cohort of 150 people at the age of 15-24, average age: 18.9±1.64, M:F= 87:63). As a result of the randomization of subjects, 3 groups were detected: themain group (people with traces of developing anaddiction from “new psychoactive substances” (NPS)) (MG, 50 people); a comparison group (people with “non-chemical” forms of addiction (internet addiction) (CG, 50 people) and a reference group (50 people, without addictions and deviant behavior). The research of coping behavior methods, in the category “Search for social support” groups MG and RG significantly differ statistically (probability of passing similarity p = 0.016, t =2.45, df = 147) has shown the significance of asocial network support as in the case of NPS addiction. The total score of the Toronto Alexithymia Scale-26-R showed that people from MG (average number 67.66±8.01) and RG (average number 58.92±8.36) statistically differ significantly, with a probability of passing similarity being p<0.001, t=5.3, df=147. Indicators of expressed alexithymia noticeably prevailed in MG and CG, in comparison with the RG. While researching internet addiction using a subject oriented scale, there was a statistically significant difference between CG and RG. The probability of a passing similarity is p = 0.006, t=2.82, df =147. The received and analyzed study materials are the basis for the development of acombined preventive and rehabilitation program for those with “NPS” addiction and “internet addiction” among teenagers and youth.

Abstract:
The article discusses problem of coordination of subjects of preventive work with minors. The analysis shows the inefficiency of the subjects of prevention of delinquency among adolescents, including the low activity of the subjects themselves, the lack of real mechanisms of interaction, the lack of strategies to respond to actions of destructive groups on young people. The solution of the problem is seen in the development of practices of group interaction of subjects of prevention, allowing to form a complete and consistent image of the teenager in a difficult life situation. The absence of methods providing the decision of this problem became a starting point for carrying out research. The theory of conceptual metaphor became the methodological basis of the study. The empirical research is carried out by a method of group training. The technique of gathering of representations of subjects of prevention about deviant teenagers is used. Sample of this research included 70 employees of state and public organizations. Metaphorical models formed by the participants of the training in the process of making «maps of the world of deviant adolescents» were the empirical material. The result of the research was the testing of the method of constructing a metaphorical model. The possibilities and limitations of its use for identifying the causes and conditions of deviant behavior of adolescents were determined. Abstract:
The article presents the results of the study “Lifestyle of student youth: behavioral risks”, which was carried out in 2016–2017. The survey was conducted among college and university students aged 17–23 years. The particularities of influence of alcohol on the guideline beliefs of young people about sexuality and in particular on sexual behavior are revealed. Youth consuming alcohol beverages systematically is distinguished by a more liberal attitude towards sex and premarital sexual contacts, as well as broad guideline beliefs about the acceptability of various sexual activities, and a lower sexual culture. The results of a sociological survey indicate a high sexual activity of students. The low level of social culture and education, the immature system of sexual education, a large number of questionable sources of information on this topic are the causes of this problem. The article identifies the negative effects of alcohol consumption before intimacy, as well as the level of knowledge of young people on safe sex issues. An analysis of medical statistics indicates that alcohol and drugs that are consumed even periodically increase the potential risk of HIV infection. The extensive empirical material of the sociology sector of deviant behavior shows the main behavioral risks to the health of the youth: alcohol consumption, risky sexual behavior. Also, the role of prevention of risky sex among the young is indicated, which should be based on timely moral and ethical education. The need was emphasized for prevention of alcohol abuse to the extent of the spiritual and moral education of young people, as well as the propaganda of safe sexual behavior.

The article describes and analyzes the correlation between various forms of social activity and abnormal behavior of young people in real and virtual environments. The sample consisted of 160 respondents aged 18 to 25 years. The use of the Pearson correlation coefficient in the context of processing the obtained indicators allowed us to identify statistically significant relationships between various forms of social activity of young people and abnormal behavior in real and virtual environments. The relationships between: Internet-network and auto-destructive virtual activity, as well as cyber-communication dependence; anti-social and aggressive-asocial virtual activity with leisure activities; antisocial and asocial activity in a real environment and protest activity were found. There are also negative relationships between the parameters of auto-destructive virtual activity with spiritual and religious; cyber-communicative dependence with spiritual, as well as religious social activity; anti-social and anti-social behavior in the real environment and socioeconomic activity. It is concluded that abnormal behavior among young people is related to various forms of social activity. Pro-social activity levels out deviations in both real and virtual environments. Deviations in the virtual environment through the Internet-network and leisure forms of social activity can be caused by specific features of communication in cyberspace. The results obtained can be used in the aspect of preventive and correctional work with young people in the conditions of consulting centers and educational organizations. The present study expands the focus of existing concepts in the context of the studied problem within the framework of the correlation of two socio-psychological phenomena – abnormal (deviant) behavior and social activity of the individual.

We differentiate the social influences of various levels on the formation of system characteristics of autobiographical memory, which constitute individual style of fixation personal stories of the past. We have found а stable family-reproduced indicators of autobiographical memories belonging to the "family life" scenario, these include the emotional profile of the memories of lives, the level of scenario (fixation of socially approved events); representation of memories of other people (social orientation). The low values of these indicators can be the risk factors for asocial behavior.

Abstract:
The basis for regulating behavior in society is social norms that fix the existing system of values of society. The changes that are currently taking place in all spheres of modern Russian society are undermining the established foundations of life and disturbing the balance of the entire system as a whole. The greatest influence, and above all negative, they have on the development of culture and spiritual life. The ongoing reassessment of values leads to a decline in the significance of certain norms. The value-normative uncertainty characteristic of modern Russian society actualizes the problem of studying deviance in its environment. Modern Russian youth is focused on rapid achievement of high material well-being, but socially approved means of achieving success are very limited. The spread and popularization of new destructive behaviors in the youth environment at the current level of development of technical means of communication is much faster than the scientific and pedagogical community responds to these risks. The reasons for the increase in negative deviation in Russia are also, first, the changed system of values, in the structure of which the rapid achievement of material well-being, understood as enrichment, is rapidly beginning to dominate; second, the blurring of social norms leads to the destruction of even elementary moral prohibitions, which allows a significant part of individuals to enter into various kinds of connections with criminal structures. Based on the analysis of the works of classics of sociology and the results of empirical research, the article describes deviant behavior in terms of changing social forms in the minds of young people. Respondents were selected for focus groups using the snowball method. 20 students living in a dormitory of Kazan Federal University were selected, including students living on the territory of the Universiade Village and students living on the campus of KFU.

The basis of interpersonal relationships is communication as a means of information exchange and an important factor in influence on the of personality`s development. There is a world perception, norms awareness and society values which are perceived through the prism of interpersonal relations. The young people are characterized by the lack of accumulated life experience; values are influenced from the outside, so that influence is the reason for their unstable behavior in the legal field. In a transitive society, all processes are exacerbated, including growing deviant behavior of adolescents. Qualitative work in the organization of legal support of interpersonal relations in the educational environment can help to keep students from committing negative manifestations in interpersonal communication. Psychological readiness for agency is considered its integral indicator which includes cognitive, activity, motivational, and personality components. The paper presents outcomes of a research on the specifics of psychological readiness to professional self-determination in adolescents with special social situations of development. This research involved 211 adolescents including orphans, teenagers with deviant behavior, and gifted teenagers. A set of techniques used in the research consisted of five standard techniques and a questionnaire developed by the author. The obtained results revealed that there is a lack of readiness for professional self-determination in all adolescent groups: orphans and teenagers with deviant behaviors showed insufficient rates for all four components of readiness, while gifted adolescents showed low rates for activity and personal components. The results of this research may help develop differentiated, person-centered technologies for promoting agency in professional self-determination of adolescents with special social situations of development. The author links the prospects of further investigations with the study of positive characteristics of psychological readiness of young people with special social situations of development to professional self-determination; these characteristics can serve as a compensatory and developmental potential of agency in professional self-determination in the context of specific social contexts and limited agency-based resources of professional self-determination.

Abstract:
Based on the structural-choice theory of victimization, the current study examines the effects of a high-risk environment on the sexual victimization of 311 homeless and runaway youth. Results from logistic regression revealed that survival sex, gender, and physical appearance were significantly associated with sexual victimization. Results from a series of interactions also revealed that the effects of deviant behaviors on sexual victimization varied by gender and age. Although males and females engaged in similar activities, young women were more likely to be victims of sexual assault. These findings suggest that engaging in high-risk behaviors predispose some people to greater risks but it is the combination of these behaviors with gender and/or age that determines who will become victimized.

Abstract:
AbstractExisting research has shown that the quality of the relationship between teacher and child is associated with more positive perceptions of school authorities. There has been relatively less attention to the processes that connect attitudes towards different sources of authority, such as between teachers and police. The current study uses a counterfactual approach to estimate the direct and indirect effects of teacher–child relationships on children’s later perceptions of police legitimacy. Using data from a longitudinal study of youth in Zurich, Switzerland, this study applies non-bipartite propensity score matching to identify matched pairs (n = 232 pairs, 55% male) of children with better versus worse relationships with their teacher at age 11 following a teacher change. Matched pairs were then compared on potential mediators (moral norms about deviant behavior and low self-control) at age 13 and perceptions of police legitimacy at age 15. The results demonstrate the importance of the quality of the relationships between students and teachers in shaping young people’s interpersonal characteristics as well as perceptions of the world around them. Namely, if young people feel that they are being treated fairly by their teachers, they are more likely to distinguish behaviors that are right or wrong (moral norms) and control their actions (self-control). Moreover, as a result they are also more likely to perceive authorities such as police as legitimate agents that facilitate societal order.
