Abstract:
Digital platforms increasingly are dictating how work is carried out, breaking down boundaries between companies, geographies, customers, and other stakeholders and participants, and determining who will benefit from advancing technology. Existing organization design frameworks do not adequately address the new reality where both the technical and social elements of the full ecosystem need to be designed. Work is no longer carried out within a bounded organization, and individual organizations can no longer be the focus of design. Building on both the traditional sociotechnical systems framework and strategic organization design frameworks, we propose a digital sociotechnical systems design approach. It involves multiple stakeholders and participants in codesigning the digital system and the social system at the ecosystem level. A case example from health care is described and discussed.

Abstract:
The demand for fashion, and for virtual fitting and personalized fashion among customers, is changing the design and consumption of fashion. To meet such challenges, fashion design models are being developed based on big data and digitization, in which fashion is designed based on data, virtual fitting, design-support systems, and recommendation systems. This paper reviews the fashion design models proposed in recent years and considers future development directions for fashion design. Using big data and digital processing technologies, fashion designers identify the characteristics of popular fashions in the market, predict fashion trends, and create designs accordingly. The virtual fitting of scanatar, parametric mannequin, or even real human bodies, enables customers to quickly and easily find fashion that best meets their tastes and requirements. On consumer design-support platforms, consumers can freely select styles, colors, materials, and other fashion aspects and view the design output. Furthermore, fashion recommendation systems, guided by fashion design experts, have greatly improved consumer satisfaction with fashion design. Yet, current fashion design systems do not fully consider the performance of textile materials and do not involve functional fashion design, let alone comfort. Such limitations provide directions future research in fashion design.

Abstract:
Current trends in the design of electronic systems is the use of embedded systems based on systems on a chip (System-on-Chip (SoC)) or (VLSI SoC). The paper discusses the design features of electronic systems on a chip using the SystemC design and verification language. For the joint design and simulation of digital systems hardware and software, seven modeling levels are presented and discussed: executable specification, disabled functional model, temporary functional model, transaction-level model, behavioral hardware model, accurate hardware model, register transfer model. The SystemC design methodology with functional verification is presented, which reduces development time. The architecture of the SystemC language and its main components are shown. The expansion of SystemC–AMS for analog and mixed analog-digital signals and its use cases in the design of electronic systems are considered. Computing models are discussed: temporary data stream (TDF), linear signal stream (LSF) and electric linear networks (ELN). The architecture of the SystemC–AMS language standard is shown and examples of its application are given. It is shown that the design languages SystemC and SystemC–AMS are widely used by leading developers of computer-aided design systems for electronic devices.

Abstract:
The rapid development of digital enterprises changes the whole traditional structure of production and business patterns. But by now, there is no generally accepted theoretical model that can be applied in both traditional manufacturers and modern companies. In this paper, we construct a three-layer customer-oriented architecture of the digital enterprises, and elaborate the mechanism it works. For the pattern of digital enterprise will be applied in wide range of areas in the future, we put forwards three problems that must be concerned for the development of digital enterprises.

Abstract:
A digital twin is a digital replica of a physical entity to which it is remotely connected. A digital twin can provide a rich representation of the corresponding physical entity and enables sophisticated control for various purposes. Although the concept of the digital twin is largely known, designing digital twins based systems has not yet been fully explored. In practice, digital twins can be applied in different ways leading to different architectural designs. To guide the architecture design process, we provide a pattern-oriented approach for architecting digital twin-based systems. To this end, we propose a catalog of digital twin architecture design patterns that can be reused in the broad context of systems engineering. The patterns support the various phases in the systems engineering life cycle process, and are described using a well-defined pattern documentation template. For illustrating the application of digital twin patterns, we adopt a multi-case study approach in the agriculture and food domain.

Abstract:
The design and operation of intelligent production and logistics systems requires the strong support of digital technologies today. A production and logistics system is normally modelled in a virtual environment, allowing rapid work with an extensive data set and "what - if" analyses to help optimize the resulting system design for performance, productivity, safety and environmental performance of its future operation. This paper deals with the issue of the digital design of production systems with the effective deployment of virtual reality technologies into the individual phases of the production system design. This article describes the basic steps of the digital design methodology with the description of virtual reality application tools for the production and logistics system design, in order to reduce design defects and increase work safety. The proposed methodology has been verified in an experimental workplace, presenting real outputs. The final part of the article contains a brief discussion of the problem results.

Abstract:
This article discusses changes in the digital product development. Advances in computing power are multiplying the capabilities of design engineers. Information technology has advanced at a tremendous pace. Developers of design systems have exploited this capability with sophisticated mathematics, and today's systems are capable of producing very complex designs in much higher definition than ever before. Advances in geometric modeling have made it possible to represent 3-D solids in minute detail. Process modeling, which began with the study of a single manufacturing process, eventually gave way to complete factory flow simulations. The recent advances in IT enabled crossing the boundaries among technology, geometry, and process modeling with integrated computer-aided engineering, computer-aided design, and process planning. Current trends have now extended process modeling throughout the integrated supply chain and the extended enterprise.

Abstract:
Digital human modeling (DHM) technology offers human factors/ergonomics specialists the promise of an efficient means to simulate a large variety of ergonomics issues early in the design of products and manufacturing workstations. It rests on the premise that most products and manufacturing work settings are specified and designed by using sophisticated computer-aided design (CAD) systems. By integrating a computer-rendered avatar (or hominoid) and the CAD-rendered graphics of a prospective workspace, one can simulate issues regarding who can fit, reach, see, manipulate, and so on. In this chapter, I briefly describe the development of various DHM methods to improve CAD systems. Past concerns about early DHM methods are discussed, followed by a description of some of the recent major developments that represent attempts by various groups to address the early concerns. In this latter context, methods are described for using anthropometric databases to ensure that population shape and size are well modeled. Efforts to integrate various biomechanical models into DHM systems also are described, followed by a section that outlines how human motions are being modeled in different DHM systems. In a final section, I discuss recent work to merge cognitive models of human performance with DHM models of manual tasks. Much has been accomplished in recent years to make digital human models more useful and effective in resolving ergonomics issues during the design of products and manufacturing processes, but much remains to be learned and applied in this rapidly evolving aspect of ergonomics.

Minimum-phase nonlinear objects in the conditions of incomplete information about state variables and nonlinearities of the objects are considered. The design method of the digital automatic control systems in the conditions of uncertainty is offered. The decision is received with application of the asymptotic observers and control on state and impact under conditions of full controllability and observability of the controlled objects. This control provides the necessary performance of the control systems. The digital devices algorithm of digital control system is received by sampling of the found control. The efficiency of the developed method is shown on the numerical example.
