Abstract:
As the world business enlarging day by day, and designing of the buildings are getting complex and demanding more technology to enhance its stability, performances, cost, duration and its uniqueness of designing. At the later part of development in civil engineer majority of the work was transformed from conventional system to a well organized and computerized system, most of the time the company employees and owners were in live risk, due to non availability of technology. As time goes technology develops, having this in mind we had also suggested using Etabs software in our design. Etabs is a 3D analysis and designing of the buildings, it is engineering software which is used in construction and designing or analysis of complex multi stored buildings. Composite column is actually the amalgamation of two traditionally methodologies structure steel and structure concrete, their design could be based on concrete or steel methodology. Any method can be used to develop composite column approach. Composite columns are designed by applying different components of structure steel and concrete in according to use the advantages and property of each material. The outer and inner behavior of the concrete and structural steel ingredients make the Composite column is very unbending, enough squashy, cost effective and generally makes it efficient partner of the building and bride constructions. Normally three kinds of composite column sections are using in high risky building construction. The building was analyzed by using Etabs and designed according to the needed requirement. Composite column technology for construction of building is now a day’s very popular and has more advantages over the conventional designing of buildings, currently we see tall buildings with great advantages such as less space more accommodation, parking, and many more, these all can only be achieved if we implement the concept and idea of composite construction. This is why composite construction is so good; the one line reason behind this is that it combines both steel and concrete into one unit. By combining these materials can strengthen and provide best result in extremely enough and light weight design. Composite by column can also save our time and we can construction the complex buildings in short term. One of the biggest achievement if is done in construction by composite column is the cost reduction, because most of the constructions companies are being lost and dropped its position due to non profitability.

Abstract:
Abstract The paper investigates valency coercion effects in Italian by means of an acceptability rating task on nine argument structure constructions. The experimental design follows Perek & Hilpert (2014) in presenting three conditions: grammatical, impossible and coercion stimuli. This design allows us to test several factors: the acceptability of creative coerced structures, the role of age and – most importantly – the influence of the construction itself. Results overall confirm our hypotheses: valency coercion is identified as an intermediate level between grammaticality and ungrammaticality, with varying degrees of “coercibility” across constructions. An influence of age is not in evidence for coercion sentences, suggesting that the systematic variation in acceptability is due to the influence of different constructions. We propose that coercion resolution results from the interaction of constructional and lexical semantics.

Abstract:
A large number of structures have been built during or after the construction of a house or residential-zoned building, which are not built at the same time and/or integrally with the structural integrity of the residential dwelling. These include carports, pergolas, sheds, and barns. The typical method of constructing these structures is a general timber truss and column system. The aim of this study is to look at the feasibility and economic incentive that may be gained from using a timber portal frame system, similar to the steel or timber portal frames used for larger industrial constructions, over the traditional timber truss and column arrangement. In this study, designs for three cases of timber truss and timber portals were carried out using industry appropriate methods and standards. Using the design information and data gathered through talks with industry professionals, both methods of construction were compared on cost and overall time duration. From the comparison of the truss and portal designs, the use of timber portal frames over timber truss systems proved to have advantage in relation to overall cost and man power involved. This could certainly affect the current attitude towards the construction of small residential buildings in the future.

Abstract:
Low volume roads in the Czech Republic are roads with lower traffic volume that primarily include forest and field roads, and they are an integral part of the Czech transport network. When building road pavements, we can use processes for surveying, designing, building and inspecting road constructions included in national and international, particularly European, standards. In addition, the roads are evaluated in terms of their environmental impacts, in order to maintain the quality of the environment. However, during the construction of road pavements decisions based on financial, time and other reasons are made. The decisions have impacts on the operation of roads and lead to other measures and additional costs of repairs and reconstructions. The article summarizes the authors’ research results from constructions of low volume road pavements and contains evaluations of laboratory and in situ material tests (soils, layers) of installed road pavements as well as evaluations of modelled laboratory and long-term monitored in situ structures.

Abstract:
Purpose. There are many problems in the design of anti-landslide constructions, therefore discrete constructions are an alternative to solid anti-landslides. Despite the advantages of such constructions, difficulties also arise when using them. In this work, it is envisaged to develop methods for determining the zone of influence of discrete restraining constructions on the interaction of a sliding soil mass with them and a method for assessing the conditions of a stable state of the soil, which interacts with discrete restraining constructions, by constructing analytical dependencies necessary to determine the zone size and the soil stability coefficient. Methodology. Theoretical studies of geomechanical processes using analytical and numerical mathematical methods, as well as analysis and generalization of theoretical research results were used to achieve the purpose. Findings. The research results presented in the work allow, during the design of landslide discrete constructions, to determine the area of interaction of the shear with discrete retaining constructions, as well as to take into account the stability coefficient of the soil laid between the elements of the discrete retaining structure. Dependences were obtained for determining the zone size in which the sliding soil mass interacts, with discrete retaining constructions, and the soil stability coefficient in the zone of its interaction with these constructions. Originality. Analytical dependencies allow to calculate the boom of lifting the soil dumping arch between the elements of the discrete anti-landslide restraining construction and the coefficient of soil stability. Practical value. The research results allow, when designing discrete restraining constructions, to determine the area of interaction of the shear with these constructions and the stability coefficient of the soil laid between the elements of the discrete restraining construction.

Full text
Abstract:
The clypeasteroid echinoid skeleton is a multi-plated, light-weight shell construction produced by biomineralization processes. In shell constructions, joints between individual elements are considered as weak points, yet these echinoid skeletons show an extensive preservation potential in both Recent and fossil environments. The remarkable strength of the test is achieved by skeletal reinforcement structures and their constructional layouts. Micro-computed tomography and scanning electron microscopy are used for microstructural and volumetric analyses of the echinoid's skeleton. It is shown that strengthening mechanisms act on different hierarchical levels from the overall shape of the skeleton to skeletal interlocking. The tight-fitting and interlocking plate joints lead to a shell considered to behave as a monolithic structure. The plate's architecture features distinct regions interpreted as a significant load-transferring system. The internal support system follows the segmentation of the remaining skeleton, where sutural layout and stereom distribution are designed for effective load transfer. The structural analysis of the multi-plated, yet monolithic skeleton of Echinocyamus pusillus reveals new aspects of the micro-morphology and its structural relevance for the load-bearing behaviour. The analysed structural principles allow E. pusillus to be considered as a role model for the development of multi-element, light-weight shell constructions.

Abstract:
This paper presents the possible effects and restrictions that may arise in the field of industrial construction due to compliance with relevant construction codes and regulations, as well as the ways they can be favourably handled in the design of industrial buildings. Designs should be based primarily on human design factors, while considering the human as the centre of the work environment. Design parameters should be described as a function of both the physical and psychosocial attributes of a person as well as the technical and economical aspects in the design of industrial construction. This paper is an examination of the connection that exists between design law (codes and regulations) and industrial construction. The relevant construction laws and regulations are described, including standards and codes of practice that designing and supervising engineers are obliged to observe. Possible solutions and consequences of development in the production, constructional, and ergonomic field of design are also discussed.

Abstract:
PurposeThe aims and objectives of this research are to establish whether or not the transition into green building in high-rise construction is practical. This is after considering several perspectives including financial, economic, environmental, and social. This subsequently leads to an evaluation on whether or not the continuation with a standard conventional build of high-rise buildings remains to be the most feasible option. Such objectives, therefore, aim to allow for validation of how and why high-rise construction designs are impacted through green buildings effects.Design/methodology/approachThrough six defined steps, the methodology commences with an introductory section of what it means to build green. This section is further broken down to evaluate what factors are involved in constructing a green building. Furthermore, the life cycle energy (LCE) is used as a framework to evaluate the knock-on effects of green buildings and subsequent high-rise construction design implications.FindingsThrough defining the ongoing relationship of green materials and sustainable design, various implications for high-rise constructions were discovered. First and foremost, it was determined that the LCE is the central consideration for any high-rise building design. In evaluating the LCE, and overall operating energy of the 50-year cycle of a building was carried out. As the results showed, the operating energy represents around 85% of the total energy that is consumed at the end of the 50 years cycle of the building. Precise LCE calculation can lead to a more efficient design for high-rise buildings. As a result, an increased understanding of the current status of green buildings within the construction industry is paramount. This understanding leads to a better insight into the contributing factors to green building in high-rise construction and the construction industry in general.Originality/valueThe potential contribution that can be gained from this research is the awareness that is raised in the research and development of green buildings in high-rise construction. This can be achieved by using certain materials such as new energy-efficient building materials, recycled materials and so on. This research will contribute to defining a new way of sustainable buildings, particularly for high-rise construction. The outcome of the research will be beneficial for practitioners such as design engineers and other related professions.

Abstract The paper highlights the negative impacts of thoughtless development on the environment, particularly in the context of building construction. It emphasizes the importance of increasing awareness about sustainable development as a solution to mitigate these effects. Building construction significantly contributes to climate change due to its high energy consumption and waste generation. Proper design and planning and appropriate technology are key factors in achieving sustainable development in the construction sector. Traditional buildings have historically demonstrated resilience against natural hazards and environmental impacts. The knowledge and techniques used in constructing these structures have evolved over centuries to meet local areas’ specific needs and conditions. However, in the present era, the development of new techniques and the widespread availability of building materials have overcome the geographical limitations faced in the past. Modern building materials such as cement, steel, and bricks have gained popularity and are now readily available even in remote areas. Non-engineered constructions of modern houses may need to be better-suited to withstand specific environmental challenges, such as earthquakes. Safety considerations are paramount, and it is crucial to ensure that buildings are constructed to withstand potential hazards. Moreover, current construction practices often come with high costs, making them neither safe nor economical. This highlights the need to explore alternative approaches prioritizing safety and affordability. Sustainable construction practices, such as energy-efficient designs, the use of renewable materials, and waste reduction strategies, can contribute to addressing these concerns. By incorporating proper design, planning, and appropriate technology, while also considering local conditions and hazards, it is possible to achieve resilient and cost-effective construction practices. Increased awareness and adoption of sustainable approaches are key to promoting a more environmentally conscious and economically viable construction industry.

Abstract:
The paper presents the method of describing the conception of a future technical mean basing on the method of functional features. In order to determine the attributes which should characterize the functional features for the description of the conception of a technical mean it has been analyzed the different stages of the design-constructional-manufacturing process. Basing on the review of literature it was supposed the structure of the design-constructional-manufacturing process which includes the following stages: the need determination, designing, constructing, manufacturing and exploitation. In the process of designing-constructing-manufacturing one can distinguish models associated with each of its stages, and namely: the model related to designing (a conception), the model related to constructing (a construction), the model related to planning, the model related to manufacturing. The most important from mentioned models, in the terms of description of the conception of a technical mean, is the model related to the designing sub-process. It was assumed that the model related to the designing sub-process should include such information as: the structure of the system of a future technical mean (system of conjugations and transformations relationships), the design solutions of components of a technical system associated with the transformations relations, the design solutions of connections between components of s technical system mapping the established conjugations relationships between elements.

Abstract:
Since the national economics has developed rapidly, construction systems of the commercial complex has gradually been established towards the right track and obtained great achievements. On one hand, the constructions and “achievement projects” are in need of commercial complex innovation, on the other hand, there are always such needs in urban construction activities, resources distributions and the quality of life. In the essay, the author analyses how to make a good design with the development of some aspects: design conception, general structure and functional layout. It means to present some references for the commercial complex designs in the future.

Abstract:
A big part of traditional architecture both in rural and urban areas in the Greek territory has been built with raw earth. The aim of this paper is to present earthen buildings’ constructions in Greece and show their important contribution to our heritage. The use of earth as a basic constructing material has given different earthen building cultures and techniques. Earthen construction encloses many varied uses and applications, as walls or as plasters. In different periods of time and historical contexts, from the indigenous inhabitants to the neighborhoods of the refugees of Asia Minor Catastrophe, the earth constructions had a primary role. The existence of earthen architecture was investigated in urban and rural sites in Greece. Building information, documentation, and records of buildings’ design, construction techniques, elements, and systems are presented. Today, there is still a rich architectural heritage throughout the country, which has lasted through the years and withstood seismic activities and poor conservation.
