Abstract:
Organic Delights is an experiential exercise designed to help undergraduate business students learn about corporate social responsibility (CSR). In this exercise, students assume the role of a senior manager of a fictional restaurant and caterer. The challenge for the managers is to evaluate and choose among six proposals to promote the company’s CSR. Students are first requested to evaluate the proposals on their own and then, later, to evaluate the proposals by working with a group of students who represent the company management team. The exercise enables students better understand the concept of CSR and reflect on the meaning and obligations of socially responsible business leadership. The exercise and recommendations for the debriefing are provided.

Now, keep your eyes closed and imagine another scenario. You are sitting in the front row of Christian Dior’s “The Garden of Earthly Delights” fashion show.b Try to concentrate on the clothing. Observe the plethora of delicate, soft-hued, floral-print gowns. Finally, consider how the fashions make you feel.

Abstract:
The observation of Hieronymus Bosch’s “Garden of Delights” triptych is the starting point for a short essay on the possible interpretation of this work by its last purchaser, Filipe II of Spain. Additionally, this essay leads to the proposal of a model, based on three categories of analysis, for the critical interpretation of the global course that humanity has been taking since the beginning of the great intercontinental navigations, initially carried out by the Portuguese and the Spanish. The proposed model intends to contribute to the defragmentation of the memory of a long process marked by the tension between hegemonic forces and dynamics of interculturality.

Abstract:
In the advent of the 21st century there can be no doubt that we have entered uncharted territory as we continue to employ diverse information and communication technologies (ICT) within healthcare. This is simply a matter of fact, at least for the Western world. But, as a question of value, what are the ethical and social ramifications of this healthcare trek? What assessments can we render on this murky, barely explored topography? A utopian answer is that ICT would deliver us to a technologic garden of healthcare delights. Here, health-related information and services abound and healthcare professionals and patients, under the protection of an electronic, global umbrella, operate in perfect harmony for the good of patients.

Lussanet constructs giant-sized sculptures of fruit and flowers using the technique of papier-mache and painting them brilliant colors with her own finely ground pigment. She uses materials from the fallas (Valencia) popular floats. These organic forms create a dream world in a natural setting, whether displayed indoors or outdoors. She has choreographed performances with actors manipulating her sculptural pieces, where the landscape plays a prominent role and the natural elements are key players. She is currently working on a larger project called "A World of Choice," based on Hieronymus Bosch's The Garden of Earthly Delights. Her employment of distortion of scale, brilliant color and illogical juxtaposition creates a visual imagery that instills a conscientious respect for our environment and healthy food choices. Abstract:
This essay on the work of the Bosnian artist Mladen Miljanović, born in Zenica, Yugoslavia, in 1981, is wrought around an account of the divided place in which his art is mobilised. Following a short military term, Miljanović enrolled at the Academy of Arts, in Banja Luka, where he still lives. A potent opposition to a divisive ethno-nationalist politics ever-present in the post-conflict, post-socialist, transition era of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Miljanović deploys what he calls an artistic-military practice. Incorporating cartographic and military surveying techniques learnt at a reserve officer military school, Miljanović deconstructs his own soldierly past and interrogates, through his artistic-military practice, an ethno-nationalist militarised Bosnia-Herzegovina. I focus in the main here on the artist’s recent attempt to represent post-conflict Bosnia-Herzegovina at the 55th Biennale di Venezia, a granite triptych entitled, The Garden of Delights.

Fish culture in Godean area is not a new phenomena however its ability to atrracts tourists or visitors is never thouroughly explored. Some younger generations in the Sidoagung village had an idea to develop raw areas of fish culture into family restaurant with playground area for the children. Their lack ability to design prompted design department of Indonesia Institute of The Art to help them with short training on how to design garden area based on community participation. Using community based design approach the training was held in the manner of community meeting and encourage youth community to activily communicate their own ideas with one another. They developed design skill by practicing drawing and re-draw some of the common objects in the garden composition. The training succeed in upgrading youth community member to develop family restaurant design with garden and playground area for children.

Abstract:
The owners of the Hotel Belmar, an eco-hotel in Monteverde, Costa Rica, were concerned about the acceptance of their sustainability practices by guests. In September 2013, the hotel had adopted a sustainability program and had applied it to their hotel, restaurant, garden, animal farm, and microbrewery. However, the owners had received complaints about issues arising from their environmentally friendly practices such as the presence of bugs and rodents, the lack of televisions in the rooms, and a problem with heat in the summer and cold in the winter due to the lack of heating and air conditioning in the hotel. Pedro, the hotel's manager, wondered how he could identify and reach guests who might enjoy the environmentally friendly eco-hotel and deal with the complaints that arose from the hotel's sustainable practices.

Abstract:
Time, according to medieval theologians and philosophers, was experienced in radically different ways by God and by his creation. Indeed, the obligation to dwell in time, and therefore to have no sure knowledge of what was to come, was seen as one of the primary qualities which marked the post-lapsarian state. When Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden of delights, they entered a world afflicted with the changing of the seasons, in which they were obliged to work and consume themselves with the needs of the present day and the still unknown dangers of the next. Medieval concerns about the use and abuse of time were not merely confined to anxiety about the present, or awareness of seized or missed opportunities in the past. The future was equally worrying, in particular the extent to which this part of time was set aside for God alone, or whether it was permissible to seek to know the future, either through revelation and prophecy, or through science. In the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, the scientific claims of astrology to provide a means to explain the outcome of past and future events, circumventing God’s distant authority, became more and more insistent. This paper begins by examining one skirmish in this larger battle over the control of the future.

Abstract:
<p>The Venezuelan Pavilion was one of Gordon Bunshaft's first projects for Skidmore &amp; Owings. It was a large showcase, an airy place, a rectangle with glass walls. The exhibition was ordered between the glass perimeter and the plane on which the map of Venezuelan geography was placed. The exhibition accompanied the passage to the restaurant terrace and the tropical garden. With the success of the setup, the author architect and his team recognized the need to keep the influence of this approach in the shops and lobbies of their future buildings. For this reason, it was sought to deepen on how glazed planes improve both the internal space and the surrounding environment. Attempts have been made to reveal what Bunshaft pursues by exploring the attributes of glass sheets in his projects and reflecting on the “visual display” involved in the role of glass curtains “in and from” the pavilion. The study showed that to take heed of what is known “will be visible,” has brought a renewed perspective on the opportunities offered by the use of glass in architecture.</p>
