Abstract:
The role of nurse with Master Degree represents an challenge career opportunity for professional nurses. Currently, there are only 2 Professional Master in Nursing in Brazil, one is at São Paulo Federal University (SP) and the other, recently approved by CAPES, is at Fluminense Federal University (RJ). At the Fluminense Federal University, the Professional Master in Nursing Program was designed for experienced nurses who is seeking preparation for advanced practice as a clinical specialist, educator, researcher, or administrator. It includes course work and clinical experience in advanced health assessment, physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology, as well as research, nursing theories, health promotion and disease prevention, healthcare policy, health and culture, diagnostic reasoning, and clinical decision making. In addition to course work, nurses are required to publish an original article and to produce a dissertation. The Professional Master in Nursing encompass a 2 year program of study with specialized clinical experiences. Upon graduation, the nurse will have a base of knowledge in a specific area of nursing care; and can participate knowledgeably in research activity and application. Advanced clinical education and experience based on scientifc evidences have been identified as requirements for practice as a nurse with Professional Master Degree. The nursing practice has recently expanded as a result of changes occurring in health care settings, including increased acuity of hospitalized patients, demands of management hability to reduce length of stay and to coordinate patient/family care. The scope of practice for nurses with a Professional Master Degree is broad-based and involves, mainly, providing advanced nursing care to patients and their families according to the practice setting and patient population. For example, it may comprehend also therapeutic procedure work, aspects of case management, discharge planning, monitoring quality standards, clinical research, undergraduate preceptorship, and inservice education of nursing staff for the instituition. The Professional Master in Nursing at the Fluminense Federal University will offer a unique advanced practice opportunity for nurses to develop their nursing careers and for healthcare institutions and nursing faculties to improve the quality of their services. The Professional Master in Nursing at the Fluminense Federal University will be offered in March 2004. Abstract:
SummaryHealth information exchange (HIE) facilitates the exchange of patient information across different healthcare organizations. To match patient records across sites, HIEs usually rely on a master patient index (MPI), a database responsible for determining which medical records at different healthcare facilities belong to the same patient. A single patient’s records may be improperly split across multiple profiles in the MPI.We investigated the how often two individuals shared the same first name, last name, and date of birth in the Social Security Death Master File (SSDMF), a US government database containing over 85 million individuals, to determine the feasibility of using exact matching as a split record detection tool. We demonstrated how a method based on exact record matching could be used to partially measure the degree of probable split patient records in the MPI of an HIE.We calculated the percentage of individuals who were uniquely identified in the SSDMF using first name, last name, and date of birth. We defined a measure consisting of the average number of unique identifiers associated with a given first name, last name, and date of birth. We calculated a reference value for this measure on a subsample of SSDMF data. We compared this measure value to data from a functioning HIE.We found that it was unlikely for two individuals to share the same first name, last name, and date of birth in a large US database including over 85 million individuals. 98.81% of individuals were uniquely identified in this dataset using only these three items. We compared the value of our measure on a subsample of Social Security data (1.00089) to that of HIE data (1.1238) and found a significant difference (t-test p-value < 0.001).This method may assist HIEs in detecting split patient records.

Abstract:
This editorial is devoted to celebrate the anniversary of the Aurora de Afonso Costa School of Nursing (AACSN), at Fluminense Federal University (FFU). Rich in history, the AACSN celebrates its sixtieth year in 2004 meeting the health challenges of our developing country. An undergraduate program was first offered by the School of Nursing in 1944. The AACSN alumni impact the State of Rio de Janeiro, the nation and the world in health care delivery because they are prepared to be highly educated nurse leaders in research, teaching, training and care. So, practicing nurses play an essential role in linking the findings of research with the communities in which they work. The AACSN completed 60 years and will continue with the primary goals of excellence in nursing education, research and practice, as well as a commitment to service. In 1979, the AACSN initiated its first graduate experience: a nursing service administration certificate course, lato sensu graduate program, leading to a specialist degree. The School added programs in succeeding years that were created and coordinated by Dr. Isabel Cruz: Health Promotion (1994), Intensive Care, Renal Substitutive Therapies (2000), and Professional Master of Science (2003).We invite you to learn more about our School's three major departments, the Master Degree Program, and our Antonio Pedro University Hospital. Please, visit the Jane da Fonseca Proença Nursing Library.Read the NEPAE-NESEN the newsletter published by 2 School of Nursing´s research groups and check out the Online Brazilian Journal of Nursing, a scholarly peer-reviewed journal with free-access, for an inside look at the School of Nursing Professional Master´s Degree Program and our research production. The AACSN nursing faculty provide education and research training in the social, behavioral, and biological sciences focused on health, illness, and health care, and offer innovative teaching-learning strategies:a. on-city “labs” that prepare students from culturally diverse backgrounds for real life hospital or community clinical situations;b. evidenced-based practice integrated into campus classroom discussions;c. and student cultural emersion in Oriximiná - FFU campus, at Amazonian region. As you can see, the AACSN undergraduate (bachelor degree) and graduate (master´s degree) programs prepare students from the beginning generalist to the advanced practice nurse and the nurse scientist. The AACSN nursing research is recognized nationally for answering questions related to African-Brazilian health and institutional racism, women and children topics (Rosalda Paim, RN, PhD, Full Professor [former]), mental health, and other themes. The AACSN nursing faculty and students benefit the public, the profession, and the University through active individual and group involvement in service activities, promoting and demonstrating excellence in professional nursing practice. Taking advantage of its long history as a part of the Fluminense Federal University, the AACSN will continue to work cooperatively with other health professionals on campus, nationally, and internationally in its search for excellence in teaching, research, practice, and public service.Happy anniversary to the AACSN and a happy new year for all!

Abstract:
Developing countries face a shortage of nurses with higher education, such as those with a master’s degree. However, few studies have investigated the interaction between career decision and professional commitment (PC) of nursing students, especially for postgraduates. This study performed correlation analysis for career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) and PC of 545 nursing postgraduate students from nursing schools at 19 universities or colleges throughout mainland China, who came from different regions, and possessed different years of study and different types of degrees as well as part-time job experiences. Data reliability and validity were confirmed for both Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale for university students (CDMSE-R) and Professional Commitment Questionnaire (PCQ). We found positive correlations between factors of PC and CDMSE. The score of CDMSE was different between regions, degree types, grades, and part-time job experiences. According to our results, we suggest nursing education or career advisory services should promote the PC of nursing students according to factors of their CDMSE scores.

Abstract:
In this paper, we have explored the experience of studying part-time nursing master degree students and provided a basis for improving the training of domestic part-time nursing master degree students. Using phenomenological research methods, we have conducted face-to-face and semistructured interviews with 14 part-time nursing graduate students, including postgraduate motivation, obstacles, gains, and expectations after postgraduate study. Part-time nursing master’s graduate students are mostly motivated by promotion, self-improvement, solving clinical problems, and role models; barriers to entry include role conflicts, time pressure, economic pressure, curriculum settings that cannot meet needs, unclear responsibilities for training process management, and personal value (cannot reflect, etc.). Study gains include enhancing scientific research confidence, stimulating learning interest, and increasing professional identity. In the training of part-time nursing master’s students, we should correctly guide students’ learning motivation, mobilize social support, and solve students’ learning obstacles. The curriculum of part-time nursing master’s students should be targeted, along with establishing a training management system jointly directed by the training unit and the employer, improving the career planning of nursing master’s students, and making a good connection with the training of senior practical nurses.

Abstract:
Abstract Objective This study evaluated the degree to which recommendations for demographic data standardization improve patient matching accuracy using real-world datasets. Materials and Methods We used 4 manually reviewed datasets, containing a random selection of matches and nonmatches. Matching datasets included health information exchange (HIE) records, public health registry records, Social Security Death Master File records, and newborn screening records. Standardized fields including last name, telephone number, social security number, date of birth, and address. Matching performance was evaluated using 4 metrics: sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and accuracy. Results Standardizing address was independently associated with improved matching sensitivities for both the public health and HIE datasets of approximately 0.6% and 4.5%. Overall accuracy was unchanged for both datasets due to reduced match specificity. We observed no similar impact for address standardization in the death master file dataset. Standardizing last name yielded improved matching sensitivity of 0.6% for the HIE dataset, while overall accuracy remained the same due to a decrease in match specificity. We noted no similar impact for other datasets. Standardizing other individual fields (telephone, date of birth, or social security number) showed no matching improvements. As standardizing address and last name improved matching sensitivity, we examined the combined effect of address and last name standardization, which showed that standardization improved sensitivity from 81.3% to 91.6% for the HIE dataset. Conclusions Data standardization can improve match rates, thus ensuring that patients and clinicians have better data on which to make decisions to enhance care quality and safety.

Abstract:
In order to explore the effectiveness of the 5Why-based nursing intervention method in blood purification nursing, this paper takes 108 patients from Changzhou Second Hospital in the past three years as an example for experimental analysis. Moreover, this paper uses mathematical statistics to group patients into groups, and the two groups of patients are comparable. After grouping, this paper conducts preexperiment processing and then conducts patient grooming through various basic tasks so that the test results have a certain degree of reliability. On this basis, this paper verifies the nursing intervention methods through controlled trials. Among them, the control group is treated with the hospital’s conventional nursing methods and allowed patients to master self-nursing methods, while the test group is treated with 5Why-based nursing intervention on the basis of traditional nursing methods. Finally, this paper combines mathematical statistics to evaluate the effect of blood purification nursing. From the research results, it can be known that the 5Why-based nursing intervention method has certain effectiveness in blood purification nursing.

Abstract:
In the contemporary public health workforce environment, public health social workers (PHSW) bring integrated skills, from both fields, to meet the needs of vulnerable and underserved populations. They receive training in their Master of Public Health/Master of Social Work dual-degree programs, such as the one at New Mexico State University, which serves the U.S./Mexico border region. During their studies, dual-degree students are equipped to address health and human service issues at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels and complete field experience and practicum hours in their communities. Along with practical skills, these students learn culturally responsive/humble ways of being with communities of color and marginalized individuals. After graduation, these emerging career PHSWs enter the workforce in a variety of settings: nonprofit, educational, government, primary care, and more. In this article, the field of public health social work is described in its historic and present forms, followed by PHSWs’ utility to the U.S./Mexico border region, in particular. Finally, we make the call to action for future career PHSWs to engage with this integrated, dynamic, innovative field, and its unique combination of community- and individual-based services and rewards.

Abstract:
In the article we have analyzed the significance and importance of the “Infection Control” discipline in pursuing a master’s degree in nursing. The article states that the master nurse is the lead organizer and executor of activities related to the creation of a safe hospital environment, while the correctness and completeness of the actions at the workplace depends on the depth of theoretical knowledge and sophistication of practical skills. The paper specifies the general and occupational competencies, forms and methods of conducting lectures and practical sessions, describes the expected results of training, indicates interdisciplinary integration, draws attention to the problems of honesty in the performance of autonomous and individually research work by the seekers of higher education. It is noted that the practical health care needs such a master nurse, who not only possesses thorough professional knowledge, but also is capable to act clearly and quickly in an emergency, perfectly master up-to-date techniques of preventing, in particular, the healthcare-associated infections through the developed clinical judgment. It is the competency based potential capacity of the “Infection Control” academic discipline that makes it possible to realize these tasks. The priority area of improving the educational process is its practical orientation and significance.

Abstract:
The purpose of this literature review is to explore the value of portfolio building and the registered nurse under the following themes: assessment of competence; work-based reflection; lifelong learning; creating career pathways and the contribution a portfolio makes to the professional development of the nurse. This review concludes that for portfolios to work effectively, nurses and their employers require a working partnership to see the value and the opportunities that exist through the development of a personal portfolio. The need exists for an organisational culture of learning that encourages a facilitative environment combined with nurses who support their colleagues and explore their skills through experiential learning. This work was submitted in part fulfilment for the Degree of Master of Science in Nursing at Queen's University of Belfast, School of Nursing and Midwifery in 2007 and was supported by ERFF.

Abstract:
Nursing, as a community service, is a profession that has existed since ancient times, with the desire to make people healthy, to ensure the comfort of people, to take care of the patient and to provide the patient with a sense of safety. Due to the impact of technology on healthcare, and with the increase in knowledge, many nurses today are seeking to work in an expanding, specialized or advanced practitioner role. Women's health nursing undertakes the roles of education, counseling, evidence-based work, research and scientific knowledge production, reducing the cost of care and increasing community satisfaction, with a woman-centered holistic approach at each life stage of women, in order to prevent diseases, and to protect and improve health. In developed countries in the field of Women's Health Nursing, such as the USA, England and Thailand, women's health nursing is a very special field of advanced nursing practices, which provides a woman-centered holistic approach, in the delivery of primary healthcare services, requiring master or PhD level expertise, and has dynamic&highly autonomous roles. Considering the developing countries, it is seen that women's health nursing is not really developed and it is carried out under the name of community-based nursing or "midwifery" in these countries. In 2011, women's health nursing roles and responsibilities were announced in our country, but its special fields were not included. In this context, it is necessary to develop special fields such as urogynecology, infertility, perinatology, gynecology and gynecological oncology, sexual health, menopause, as well as reorganize the roles and responsibilities of specialist nurses and all these should be supported within the scope of legal regulation.

Abstract:
Abstract The Graduate School of Nursing (GSN) was established at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1993 to prepare advanced practice nurses, namely family nurse practitioners (FNPs) and nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), for the uniformed services. A study of needs for nurses in the uniformed services in these specialties indicated that by the year 2000 there would be a need requiring a total enrollment in educational programs of 268 CRNAs and 100 FNPs over a 5-year period. Offering the master of science in nursing degree, the GSN has enrolled 61 students in its two programs, and by the end of the 1997 academic year, it will have graduated 19 FNPs and 19 CRNAs. The GSN was authorized by the Department of Defense, Office of Health Affairs, in February 1996. Federal nursing chiefs serve as advisors to the GSN. The GSN received full accreditation from the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs in 1994 and from the National League for Nursing in December 1996. All students who have graduated have successfully passed their certification examinations. Supplementing other educational resources, the GSN is helping to meet the educational needs of the uniformed nursing services by introducing pilot programs specifically designed to meet these needs.

Abstract:
Abstract Many publications have focused on quality improvement interventions in nursing homes but the self-initiated daily involvement of nursing homes in quality improvement activities has rarely been investigated (e.g., conducting surveys, using data to set quality aims and track quality of care over time, conducting quality improvement projects). Such activities can be carried out by nurses in expanded roles with competences beyond those of regular registered nurses (e.g., advanced studies, Bachelor/Master’s degree), but evidence is lacking. We aimed to described the involvement of nursing homes and of nurses working in expanded roles in quality improvement activities in Swiss nursing homes. A cross-sectional multi-center study (2018-2019) using survey data from a convenience sample of 115 Swiss nursing homes and 104 nurses in expanded roles was used and descriptive statistics applied. Most nursing homes reported carrying several quality improvement activities (median = 8 activities out of 10 surveyed). The group of nursing homes working with a nurse in an expanded role (n = 83) were more engaged in quality improvement than the other group (median = 8 versus 6.5) Higher-educated nurses participated more in a majority of quality improvement activities than lower-educated nurses (Bachelor/Master-educated nurses: median of 13 out of 17 activities surveyed, versus diploma-educated nurses: 10), except for clinical teaching. This study provides insights into nursing homes’ involvement in daily quality improvement and suggests that, depending on the targeted quality improvement needs, nursing homes use different profiles and education levels of nurses in expanded roles.

Abstract:
The graduate advanced psychiatric nursing (psychiatric nursing specialist) from master degree in Indonesia are about 70 nurses, 67 nurses were graduated from University of Indonesia. They are working at mental health services and educational setting around Indonesia and yet seem not ready to perform some specific advanced competencies in clinical area. The mastery on mental health assessment, neurochemical perspectives, medical management and psychotherapy have not yet performed by the psychiatric nurse specialist in the clinical area or community. To have those competencies and its performances, therefore the curriculum in a psychiatric nursing graduate program must include advanced courses in physiopsychology, psychopathology, advanced psychopharmacology, neurobehavioral science, advanced mental health assessment, and advanced treatment interventions such as psychotherapy and prescription and management of psychotropic medications as their core and major courses in the curriculum. Those courses should be performed in their clinical practice courses or other related learning experiences. When those qualifications are met, then they are competent to be called advanced psychiatric nurse. As advanced practice registered nurses, the advanced psychiatric nurses should be able to demonstrate their direct expertise and roles in advanced mental health assessment, diagnostic evaluation, psychopharmacology management, psychotherapy with individuals, group and families, case management, millieu management, liason and counselling from prevention, promotion until psychiatric rehabilitation. Meanwhile the skill such as psycho-education, teaching, unit management, research and staff development can be added as their indirect roles.

AbstractThe International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) agreed on international recommendations in health informatics/medical informatics education. These should help to establish courses, course tracks or even complete programs in this field, to further develop existing educational activities in the various nations and to support international initiatives concerning education in health and medical informatics (HMI), particularly international activities in educating HMI specialists and the sharing of courseware. The IMIA recommendations centre on educational needs for healthcare professionals to acquire knowledge and skills in information processing and information and communication technology. The educational needs are described as a three-dimensional framework. The dimensions are: 1) professionals in healthcare (physicians, nurses, HMI professionals, …), 2) type of specialisation in health and medical informatics (IT users, HMI specialists) and 3) stage of career progression (bachelor, master, …).Learning outcomes are defined in terms of knowledge and practical skills for healthcare professionals in their role (a) as IT user and (b) as HMI specialist. Recommendations are given for courses/course tracks in HMI as part of educational programs in medicine, nursing, healthcare management, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, health record administration, and informatics/computer science as well as for dedicated programs in HMI (with bachelor, master or doctor degree). To support education in HMI, IMIA offers to award a certificate for high quality HMI education and supports information exchange on programs and courses in HMI through a WWW server of its Working Group on Health and Medical Informatics Education (http://www.imia.org/wg1).

Abstract:
Many teaching hospitals employ a care team structure composed of a broad range of healthcare providers with different skill sets. Each member of this team has a distinct role and a different level of training ranging from attending physician to resident, intern, and medical student. Often times, these different roles lead to greater complexity and confusion for both patients and nursing staff. It has been demonstrated that patients have a great degree of difficulty in identifying members of their care team. This anonymity also exists between nursing staff and other care providers. In order to better understand the magnitude of anonymity within the teaching hospital, a ten-question survey was sent to nurses across three different departments. Results from this survey demonstrated that 71% of nurses are “Always” or “Often” able to identify which care team is responsible for their patients, while 79% of nurses reported that they either “Often” or “Sometimes” page a provider who is not currently caring for a given patient. Furthermore, 33% of nurses felt that they were either “Rarely” or “Never” able to recognize, by face and name, attending level providers. Residents were “Rarely” or “Never” recognized by face and name 37% of the time, and interns 42% of the time. Contacting the wrong provider repeatedly leads to de facto delays in medication, therapy, and diagnosis. Additionally, these unnecessary interruptions slow workflow for both nurses and members of the care team, making hospital care less efficient and safe overall. Technological systems should focus on reducing anonymity within the hospital in order to enhance healthcare delivery.

Abstract:
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic is having a negative impact on the mental health of nurses around the world. The aim of the study was to assess the sense of fear and the degree of exposure to SARS-CoV-2 infection and to estimate the influence of various factors on the fear of SARS-CoV-2. We analysed methods and strategies for coping with stress used by Polish nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The study was conducted using a diagnostic survey, which included a self-constructed questionnaire and a standardized psychological questionnaire: Brief-Cope. Results: A total of 361 nurses confirmed their participation in the study. Most of the nurses were ages 31 to 50 (48.2%), lived in a city (83.7%), and had a master’s degree in nursing (45.7%). Nurses ≥ 51 years of age, with ≥ 21 years of work experience and with secondary education in nursing and master of nursing were more likely than other nurses to agree with the statement, I am afraid of contracting the SARS-CoV-2 (appropriately p = 0.009, p = 0.007, p = 0.014). During the outbreak of COVID-19, nurses most often took action to improve the situation, reflecting on and planning what to do. The most frequent means of coping with stress by Polish nurses during the COVID-19 outbreak were problem-focused strategies. The least frequent strategy was the use of substances (taking substances to alleviate unpleasant emotions), considered to be the least effective, but useful in some situations. Conclusions: Most nurses were afraid of being infected with COVID-19. The most frequently used strategies for coping with stress by Polish nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic were problem-focused strategies. Nurses should receive psychological support and assistance from the employer in improving their working conditions.

Abstract The Gerontology Interdisciplinary Program at the University of Utah has a long history of offering certificates (48 years) and a Master of Science degree (25 years). Relatively new to our program is the minor in gerontology, first available in 2013. This paper will describe efforts to grow this program, barriers to enrollment, and plans for expansion. In 2018, the program developed a targeted strategy to increase student awareness of and enrollment in the minor. First, we focused on newly enrolled pre-nursing students through new student orientation presentations and registration support. The introductory course within the minor jumped in enrollment from 6 students in Fall of 2017 to 40 in Fall 2018. Students taking courses in the minor received follow-up support and instructions mid-semester to ease matriculation. Enrollment in the minor increased by 140%. Next, we plan to apply these strategies to a broader number of colleges and departments throughout campus.

This research is a research and development that aims to develop technical thesis learning by using thesis camp as one of the learning techniques in preparing a thesis proposal for Unimus nursing masters students. The technical development of this learning is based on the length of time it takes to complete a thesis proposal experienced by most of the Unimus master's nursing students who are preparing a thesis proposal. The results of the survey on students showed that 85% had difficulty in compiling a thesis proposal for various reasons, including difficulty finding the research title, difficulty finding problems, and difficulty managing time because most of the students were already working. This has an impact on the length of the student's study period which affects the discrepancy with the educational calendar. This study was designed to: 1) examine students' understanding in the preparation of a thesis proposal, 2) create a technical prototype for thesis camp learning, 3) test the effectiveness of the thesis camp, and 4) compile a thesis camp guidebook. This research generally uses a research and development approach. The research stages used descriptive qualitative methods in exploratory studies, and development through workshop activities in the context of preparing a camp thesis guide book. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was not possible for students to consult directly with the thesis supervisor, so this thesis camp was carried out with blended learning (70% online learning and 30% learning offline) and while offline still using the Covid-19 prevention protocol, consist of here are wearing masks, washing hands, and keeping a distance. Thesis camp is proven to be effective in increasing the timeliness of completing thesis writing for nursing master students of Unimus.

Abstract:
Research about spirituality has grown widely in the past decades and the interest in health care is also evident in Portugal. This literature review aims to identify and to characterize Portuguese theses, dissertations, and papers about spirituality in health, and to provide a systematic overview of the knowledge concerning this subject. The search was conducted in February 2017 and updated in January 2018. Four independent reviewers screened and analyzed all citations, and a total of 76 results were included. Publications started in 2002 and include master degree dissertations (n = 37), scientific papers (n = 31), and PhD theses (n = 8). Papers were published in 24 national and international journals. Most papers were psychology- and nursing-related and had a quantitative design (n = 55). Samples were mostly composed of patients living with a chronic disease (n = 20) or elderly (n = 11). The Spiritual Well-Being Questionnaire (SWBQ) was the most used tool. A multidisciplinary approach is regarded as foundational in implementing spirituality in the provision of health care and the results underline the interest on this topic from other disciplines rather than nursing. Further studies must provide a deeper understanding of spirituality in children, adolescents or families’ perspective bringing new insights to advanced health practice.

It includes humus form taxa that have been recognized in Europe and North America. Recognized taxa are defined on the basis of observable and easily measurable morphological properties. Three taxa, Mor, Moder, and Mull, are recognized at the order level and are differentiated according to the type of F horizon and the relative prominence of organic-enriched A horizons. These reflect principal differences in the nature and rate of decomposition processes. Names of the 16 taxa at the lower, group level are created by adding formative elements to the name of the order. For example, groups of the Mor order are differentiated according to the relative thickness of F and H horizons (Hemimors and Humimors); degree of humification in the H horizon (Resimors); content of decaying wood (Lignomors); and moisture regime (Hydromors, Fibrimors, and Mesimors). Phases can be formed for any taxon to recognize important morphological properties that deviate from the taxonomic differentiae. Keys to the recognized taxa and descriptions of representative humus form profiles for each group are provided to assist in identification. Methods for describing, sampling, and surveying humus forms are presented to facilitate field examinations and subsequent studies.

Subject area Marketing. Sub subjects: customer segmentation, targeting, positioning and new product launch strategies. Study level/applicability This case can be taught at degree and master level management programmes including distance education mode in business schools having marketing management as one of the subjects. Case overview Maruti Suzuki a leading global Japanese car manufacturer recently launched a new multi utility passenger car with the brand name Ertiga. Ertiga was launched by Maruti Suzuki as life utility vehicle (LUV) using lifestyle categorization instead of using car categorization to position Ertiga using LUV theme. This new category created called LUV is in car categorization between high end hatchbacks and multi utility vehicles/sedans. This case highlights how Maruti Suzuki through effective market research was able to identify a new category and also create and offer a car to the Indian market. This case covers some of the innovative promotional strategies like in film promotions and brand placements which was used to promote Ertiga in India. Expected learning outcomes The case is designed to enable students to understand the concept of segmentation, targeting, and positioning about the various products launch strategies companies adopt in the emerging markets. Also this case covers the marketing mix concepts and how it was adopted during the Ertiga launch in India. Supplementary materials Teaching notes are available for educators only. Abstract:
(1) Background: The Covid-19 pandemic has put our healthcare systems to the test, exposing their vulnerability and demanding a high degree of commitment and dedication from healthcare teams to confront and contain the disease. In this sense, nursing professionals have played a prominent role in the treatment of complex cases that have required hospitalisation and have manifested pre-existing health complications or mortality. This unprecedented situation made it difficult to regulate the emotional impact and manage grief, often turning it into a traumatic grief whose psychological and emotional manifestations are increasingly evident but very little researched in the current context. (2) Purpose: Validation of the definition, defining characteristics and related factors for the proposal of the nursing diagnosis of professional traumatic grief. (3) Method: Based on Fehring’s content validation model, the label name, defining characteristics and other related factors were agreed upon by Spanish experts. (4) Results: The content validity index was 0.9068. A total of 21 defining characteristics were validated by the experts, as all of them scored above 0.6. With respect to the related factors of the proposed 10, all were validated. (5) Conclusion: The present study supports the proposal to develop a nursing diagnosis for professional traumatic grief. The use of standardised language is only the first step in establishing professional traumatic grief as a diagnostic category.

Abstract:
AIM: The aim of this study was to identify the reasons why students that attending nursing study program decide to choose this study program for their future. METHODS: We conducted a cross-sectional study on students at University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi” in Albania and University of Pristina “Hasan Prishtina,” in Kosovo, during October–November 2021. The students that participated attended the bachelor study program in nursing and program of professional master. Data collection was done using a questionnaire with closed and opened questions. Student’s opinions were collected through a self-administered online questionnaire. The survey was administered using the Google Forms® platform, performed in classroom and was anonymous. To analyze the sample, it was used the exact Fisher’s Test, Pearson’s correlation R and ꭓ² test. RESULTS: The study included 376 students which 259 from Albania and 117 from Kosovo. 335 were female and 41 males. 195 of students were from urban area and 181 from rural area. 130 students were at the 1st year of studies, 98 at the 2nd year, 100 of 3rd year, and 48 students attend professional master’s degree. About 66% of students have chosen nursing program because it is easy to find a job and 81.6% of students think that by choosing the nursing study program, they can make a career. About 82.2% of students have chosen the nursing study program because they can ensure a satisfactory economic level. More than 77% of students think that finding a job as a nurse is easy and for 75% of students nursing program has been the first choice. About 88.3% of students say they have chosen to continue their studies in nursing because they believe they can be employed after completing their studies in European Union countries. About 97.1% of students chose this program because they feel valuable in helping people with health needs. In our study, we have evidenced that 58.8% of all students would like to work in Germany. CONCLUSIONS: Students choose the bachelor study program in nursing mainly to be able to easily secure a job, for a career, to help people with health problems and to secure an employment in the countries of the European Union. The same reasons evidenced in two student’s group from two universities.

Abstract:
This research aimed to examine the level of knowledge of master and doctorate students regarding scientific research ethics and the frequency of scientific deception identification in scientific publications. The research was conducted using descriptive methods. The group under examination consisted of 112 randomly chosen students who pursued their postgraduate degree in physical education and sports fields. The validity and reliability were determined in the framework of this study. Item total correlation and factor analyses were conducted for the construct validity of the assessment tool. The Alpha Coefficient, which was calculated for the scale reliability as .96, indicated the scale is valid and reliable. The Shapiro-Wilks test was also conducted to determine whether the data were normally distributed. Because the data did not exhibit a normal distribution, a non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test was utilised. “Writing more than one article using the same data”, “citing without providing a reference”, “reporting findings that are only consistent with expectations”, “publishing someone else’s ideas without providing references as if they are one’s own”, “presenting the same research in more than one conference or symposium”, and “publishing the same research in more than one journal” are the most non-ethical behaviours perceived in scientific research. All of the participants indicated that “presenting falsified findings of research and publishing someone else’s research with own name” represent non-ethical behaviours. According to the research results, “citing without providing a reference” and “writing more than one article using the same data” were the most unethical behaviours identified in scientific studies.
