Abstract:
One of the major concerns of marketing researchers is to analyze customer’s decision-making process. Given the significance of “students as customers” concept in Higher Education (HE), it seems necessary to study this process. In this paper, we reviewed studies related to decision-making process of students, then, revised models that discussed this issue. We found many factors that affect this process from different points of view. This paper attempts to provide guidance for further investigation in this area.

Abstract:
In the process of legal research, private scientific methods are developed and used to study legal reality, such as the method of comparative jurisprudence, the method of interpretation (explanation) and the formal legal method. However, at the present stage of legal research, it is impossible to be limited only by these methods. Even legal scholars who consistently defend the status of dogmatic jurisprudence recognize that the application of these methods, with all their merits, sets a limiting framework in un-derstanding the practical action of positive law and the originality of its theoretical vision. Nevertheless, the application of these methods in the study of legal reality allows us to draw a conclusion about the general trends in the development of evaluative concepts that are fundamental in civil procedural law. It is offered an approach to the formation of a system of information support of procedural decision-making based on the application of fuzzy inference mechanism implemented in the logical basis of the feedforward multilayer neural network. Under this approach, a method to overcome the semantic uncer-tainty in the evaluation terms of procedural law is developed by using appropriate terms (fuzzy sets) of corresponding linguistic variables. As an example it is selected the Articles on “Violation of copyright or neighboring rights” of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic based on which has been proposed formalism for the evaluation concept of “significant harm” in relation to the sanction applied. For mak-ing an adequate to evaluation concept notion it is proposed grading scale of possible sanctions, obtained on the basis of the description of the relevant legal norms in terms of fuzzy implicative rules.

Abstract:
Decision-making process of households on food consumption is discussed in the post-Keynesian theory of household choice. Since the core assumption of uncertainty is employed, the set of consumption alternatives is restricted to the subset of the known ones. When searching for these alternatives, the consumer faces the search costs expressed by time of search. The sample of Czech households was investigated to ascertain the volume of the search and 57% of households do not seek for any information that are relevant for decision-making on foodstuff purchase. To overcome this activity, the households more likely rely on prices and the range of goods of the closest sellers to them. Searching for information on product is replaced by reliance on habits and recommendations of the others. On the contrary, the uncertainty of real purchase power is of lower significance in food consumption, because the foodstuffs meet the basic physiological needs and dispose of constrained stability in storage. Thus, households cannot always postpone (or bring forward) their consumption. In order to deal with the lack of money, households from lower income levels reduce their expenditures for foodstuffs more often than those from the higher income levels. Consequently, the relationship between the level of income and needs satiation is outlined.

Abstract:
The world is dealing with a health crisis unparalleled in this era that underscores a negative side of globalization. People have to face economic and psychological changes. The paper is intended to draw attention upon the importance of building emotional resilience to handle the actual crisis and its development. Thus, it analyses what the emotional reactions of people are when making decisions in such difficult contexts as this pandemic crisis. Specifically, each of the seven steps of the decision-making process are described along with the subsequent emotional reactions of the people (both as individuals and as part of an organization or team) involved in the process. The conclusion of the paper is that all reports that have been issued by governments of all countries rather urges to further decisions that should be made in three areas: economic support, Covid-19 testing and the lockdown. Therefore, the decisionmaking process seems to be rather a work in progress within this pandemic context. At the emotional level, every step is experienced differently. There is still a common emotion that seems to appear at all stages of the process and that is anxiety. Up to some point, anxiety is functional and useful. It is human and adaptive for a while. But beyond certain reasonable limits, however, it becomes exhausting and devastating

Abstract:
Marketing information system (MIS) enables data processing and transformation of data into valuable information that results in a more effective decision-making from which companies benefit. However, human aspect is still an influential factor in the decision-making process. We conceptualize a connection between decision-making styles of employees, inherent in their habits and practices, and marketing innovation system based on the decision-making process. Through a detailed literature review, a link between spontaneous, individual, rational and dependent decision-making styles with quality and speed of MIS decision-making has been conceived and constructed. We suggest that decision-making styles influence both quality and speed of the decision-making process. Furthermore, quality and speed of MIS decision-making have a positive influence on radical and incremental marketing innovation. This study enriches the body of literature that focuses on the human-technology interaction and is valuable for companies implementing and using MIS to make business decisions.

Abstract:
The current stage of global development is characterized by opportunities for investment activity, along with an instability of the economic situation and high uncertainty, dictates the need for investors and managers to make effective decisions, taking into account constantly changing conditions. An investor, while making a decision which project to accept, for the most part, uses the standard methods of financial management as a basis for forecasting and analysis. Considering fast-moving processes of technology change, as well as the conditions of market uncertainty, significant risk and agency problems, the article proposes the use of real options as an insurance (hedging) tool for investors against risks at different stages of the investment project. Risk management can be carried out through real options - the tool of flexibility in decision making. Traditional assessment methods ignore the ability to adapt internal and external changes, however management flexibility can significantly reduce risks, and therefore create additional value.

Predvsem so z njimi že bile ocenjene grožnje delovanja in ovrednotene metode napovedovanja rezultatov. Kot neraziskane vojaške teme ostajajo procesi odločanja. Ti so zaradi svoje kompleksnosti nekoliko zahtevnejša tema in hkrati večji izziv. Realizacija sistema, ki na podlagi večkriterijskih odločitvenih modelov lažje, hitreje in uspešneje napove odločitveni proces, pa je osnovni cilj dela. The subject of research is the processes of making decisions on the basis of multi- criteria decision models based on fuzzy logic. As an interdisciplinary field, it comes useful in military decision-making processes. In this respect, it is already being used in various military-oriented management systems and decision-making processes in the procurement of specialized military assets. Some approaches have been identified that are closer to the discussed subject of decision-making processes and control more com- prehensive areas of operation. They have mainly been used to assess operation threats and evaluate result prediction methods. Decision-making processes thus remain a non- explored military issue. Due to their complexity, they remain a somewhat difficult topic and at the same time more challenging. The basic aim of this work is therefore the realization of a system, which uses multi-criteria decision-making models to facilitate, speed up and predict more successfully the decision-making process.

Abstract:
Since the Military Revolution in 1961 Korean government officials have been concerned about solving problems involved in agricultural or food policy. However, farmers are still kept in a predicament mainly due to the improperties contained in the policy-making process. In this study, to define the reasons for the difficulties involved in food policy, policy-making process as well as its specifications were examined based on the objectives, participants, and the contents of food policy in Korea. Because policy-making is largely dependent upon political or administrative structures, a comparative study was conducted to see the radical changes in food policy before and after the Yu-shin Revitalizing Reformation in 1972. Before the Reformation, farmers fell victim for the economic development which was the moral obligations of the military government. Thus top priority in food policy was set on price stabilization rather than achieving self-sufficient food supply or boosting farmers' incomes. Likewise government officials were more concerned about politics, that is, winning elections. However, political concern has become less decisive after the Reformation, and administrative power has become more dominant in terms of policy-making. In addition to such a change, food supply situation has deteriorated due to poor harvests and the public's improved diet. Therefore, rice price has been maintained at a considerably high level, and government officials have become aware of the importance of boosting farmers' incomes. But there still is a room for improvement on the part of participants.

Abstract:
This paper focuses on the foreign policy analysis (FPA) and the decision–making approach of Richard Snyder, particularly as one of the classical approaches for analyzing the decision-making process in foreign policy (FP) of the world's governments. The purpose of this research is to investigate Snyder's contribution to foreign policy analysis. In addition, the qualitative method is employed to collect the desired data. The result demonstrates that the foreign policy decision-making (FPDM) is one of the traditional approaches which emphasizes individual and group based dynamic as it is disclosed by Snyder and his colleagues. Similarly, it is one of the most significant academic ways to analyzing states foreign policy in international politics (IP) and can still be used to analyze countries' FP. Also, this approach as a theoretical framework is one of the fundamental FPAs that is regarded as a subfield of international relations (IR) and it evaluates the effect factors of the state FP.

Abstract:
This article aim is to address the question of whether the assumptions of participatory public management can be implemented through the use of available methods and tools of citizen participation, and in relation to specific stages of the decision-making process. It is hypothesized that despite the attractive aspects of strengthening public involvement in decision-making processes, the practical implementation of participatory governance in decision-making processes is limited due to a lack of sufficient resources and tools. Participatory budgets, which are quite popular, and citizen panels, which are just starting, can be considered examples of successful projects to some extent. Decision making can be carried out through both tools, such as entry (situation assessment) and conversion (decision making). On the other hand, there is concern about the possibility that the techniques and tools discussed for civic participation can be used to carry out the third and final phase of the decision-making process, i.e., implementing the decision made.

Abstract:
How agricultural managers gain, process and use information in decision-making and problem-solving process refers to decision-making styles. A successful decision depends on the flexibility of using decision-making styles in different situations. The research paper monitors the dependence between the decision-making style of agricultural managers and their personal and working parameters. To identify the decision-making styles, the MB-type indicator (Myers-Briggs type indicator) was used. The results of non-parametric testing give proof that there is a statistically significant dependence between the type of decision problem and decision-making style, “Intuitive” and “Sensing”. Parametric test ANOVA was applied to assess potential differences in the score of decision-making style by nominal-level variables. The results gave proof of a strong statistically significant difference in score of decision-making style, “Intuitive” and “Sensing” between groups of current leading position. The difference in scoring for “Thinking” and “Feeling” as decision-making styles was confirmed to be statistically significant even in functional areas of control. Subsequently, the size of this difference was calculated.

Abstract:
This is the third paper in a trilogy of papers that started with developing the philosophical and theoretical foundations for the study of sociospatial interactions. In the second paper, we created a guiding framework for facilities programming information collection and decision making. In this paper, we use that guiding framework and develop a process model for the programming process. Our methodology involves systems theory, activity theory, and task analysis. We present a generic model of the data collection process in facilities programming. This model delineates process steps, their sequence, and their content. The intent of this model is to provide structure and content suggestions for developing project-specific facilities programing research designs for information collection, processing, and programmatic decision-making. It is a plan for action, articulated and explicated so that professional programmers can use it as a template for organizing their work. This process model is tentative and general, intended as a guide for creating customized process designs for each programming project, considering the specifics of the building type and the programming situation.

Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper aims to investigate the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies on consumer buying behavior in the Ukrainian market. The qualitative data for this study were collected with the help of semi-structured interviews conducted with a total of 10 respondents, including 5 Ukrainian consumers (with different levels of responsible consumption adoption) and 5 CSR experts from FMCG companies located in Ukraine (both local and global; with CSR adoption level varying from low to well-developed). The data obtained for this study revealed that the level of consumer awareness about CSR in Ukraine is still low. However, the level of awareness and the actual consumption of responsible products are constantly growing. The results also show that Ukrainian consumers who already have some level of awareness about CSR perceive CSR communication as more credible when it does not originate from the company directly or is endorsed by a third party. At the same time, interviewed experts stated that to raise awareness among the wider population, FMCG companies have to communicate their CSR achievements directly and massively. Ukrainian consumers are mostly impacted by the product-related CSR type, such as bio-ingredients and sustainable packaging. Price premium for responsible products is the key factor that causes the “intention-behavior gap” in Ukraine.Practitioners from the FMCG industry in Ukraine may use the information provided by this study to shape their CSR strategies, which will allow them to cater to societal demands and, as a result, impact consumer buying behavior.

Abstract:
The paper aims to investigate and assess the decision-making process of young Slovak consumers – generation Z – in the purchase of tomatoes. The respondents participatet in a questionnaire survey and blind testing of four tomato samples (two samples were Slovak and another two were foreign tomatoes). For a deeper analysis of the collected data, five scientific hypotheses were formulated. The accuracy of provided hypotheses was verified using the following mathematical-statistical methods: Chi-Square test of independence, Mann-Whitney U-test, and as Chi test for equality of proportions between two samples. The research results show that generation Z buys tomatoes once a week or several times a month. Moreover, it was found out that most young consumers are mostly influenced by freshness, taste, quality of tomatoes, and general appearance, the least by packaging, brand/specific tomato grower, information on the packaging and references. According to all observed attributes within the blind testing of tomato by the respondents, the best-evaluated sample was the Slovak sample of tomatoes – the sample B. Subsequently, all respondents were provided with information about the tested tomatoes, and it can be stated that they would also actually buy Slovak sample B in the store. Finally, one can state that the higher price of this sample has no significant impact on the respondents of generation Z.
