Abstract:
We present a two-tier distributed hash table-based scheme for data-collection in event-driven wireless sensor networks. The proposed method leverages mobile sinks to significantly extend the lifetime of the sensor network. We propose localized algorithms using a distributed geographic hash-table mechanism that adds load balancing capabilities to the data-collection process. We address the hotspot problem by rehashing the locations of the mobile sinks periodically. The proposed mobility model moves the sink node only upon the occurrence of an event according to the evolution of current events, so as to minimize the energy consumption incurred by the multihop transmission of the event-data. Data is collected via single-hop routing between the sensor node and the mobile sink. Simulation results demonstrate significant gains in energy savings, while keeping the latency and the communication overhead at low levels for a variety of parameter values.

Abstract:
This phenomenological study examined the role of emotional and cultural intelligence in the social integration of international students. The study included nine participants who were selected using purposeful sampling. The researcher used five main interview questions to guide the datacollection process. The questions were designed to help determine both whether the participant appeared to be competent in cultural and emotional intelligence, and how that competence then contributed to his or her social integration. The study findings revealed that emotional and cultural intelligence played an important role in enabling international students to integrate socially. This article seeks to offer a deeper understanding of the social integration challenges of international students, contribute to the existing knowledge, and offer suggestions for future research.

However, sensor’s energy is limited and stored in a non-rechargeable battery. Therefore, several event-reporting (or datacollection) protocols have been proposed to improve energy consumption in WSNs, and consequently, to extendtheir lifetime. In this paper, we propose an efficient event reporting protocol for WSNs called Event ReportingProtocol Based on Distributed Data Aggregation (ERP-DDA). This protocol mainly aims at reporting any event byno more than one sensor node such that energy saving is satisfied in the whole network. To achieve this goal, ERPDDAis mainly based on the following features: it is a cluster-based protocol, it is a multi-hop routing protocol, itapplies distributed data aggregation, and it employs variable clustering and cluster head selection. Simulationsshow that ERP-DDA significantly extends the lifetime of WSNs compared with other related protocols.

Abstract:
The number of adolescents in Indonesia is estimated to have reached 62 million people. The current problem of reproductive healthknowledge is so complex that it is demonstrated in the outcomes of the 2012 KRR SDKI that adolescent knowledge of reproductivehealth is inadequate, which can be seen by only 35.3% of female adolescents and 31.2% of boys aged 15- 19 years of knowing thatwomen can get pregnant with one sexual intercourse. The purpose of this research is to know the correlation of knowledge ofadolescent reproduction health with premarital sexual attitude at SMK Taman Siswa Nanggulan in 2017. This Research Method isAnalytical Survey, research type using Observasional with cross sectional time approach, sampling using purposive sampling that isused subject in the case of 80 adolescents The number of samples was determined by using different proportional hypothesis test(Lemeshow 1997) The minimum sample found for this study was 72 respondents plus 10% to become 80 respondents. Datacollection used questionnaires distributed to respondents, analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-squareanalysis. The results of the study there is a significant relationship between knowledge of adolescent reproductive health withpremarital sexual behavior, p-value 0.000. This research can be concluded that there is correlation of level of knowledge ofreproductive health of adolescent significant with premarital sexual attitude.

Abstract:
Purpose: We assessed the quality of reporting of response rates in published case-control studies of cancer over the past fourdecades. Methods: We reviewed all case-control studies of cancer published in twelve major epidemiology, public health, and generalmedicine journals in four publication periods (1984-86, 1995, 2005, and 2013). Information on study base ascertainment, datacollection methods, population characteristics, response rates, and reasons for non-participation was extracted. Quality of responserate reporting was assessed based on the amount of pertinent information reported, and in particular, numbers of non-participantsby reasons for non-participation. We calculated subject response rates by quality of response rate reporting. Results: A total of 370 studies met the eligibility criteria, yielding a total of 370 case series and 422 control series. Overall, the quality of reporting of response rate and reasons for non-participation was poor. There was a tendency for better quality ofreporting of case series, followed by population control series, and lastly by medical source control series. Quality of reportingdeclined from 1995 to 2013.Conclusion: The reporting of relevant information on response rates in case-control studies of cancer has been rather poor, and ithas not improved over time. This compromises our ability to assess validity of studies’ findings.

Abstract:
The results of a 2-year field test of nonintrusive traffic detection technologies are presented. Seventeen devices representing the following eight technologies were evaluated: passive infrared, active infrared, magnetic, radar, doppler microwave, pulse ultrasonic, passive acoustic, and video. The devices were tested in a variety of environmental and traffic conditions at both intersection and freeway test sites. Emphasis was placed on urban traffic conditions, such as heavy congestion; locations that typify temporary counting situations, such as 48-hour or peak hour counts; and performance in the wide variety of weather conditions found in Minnesota. The evaluation also focused on the ease of system set-up and general system reliability. The results show that nonintrusive technologies are capable of performing as well as conventional methods in some, but not all, situations. At the freeway test site, most nonintrusive devices counted within 3 percent of baseline data. At the intersection test site, however, congested stop-and-go traffic hindered the performance of the majority of the devices. Weather and other environmental variables were found to have minimal impact on the majority of devices. This test is the first phase of an ongoing project to evaluate new, nonintrusive technologies and devices. Further research will expand into areas such as real-time datacollection to support intelligent transportation system applications.

Abstract:
This article showedthe resultsoftheresearchconductedin2018, with the objective of investigating the teaching conceptionofliteracyteachersfromthepolicies continuingeducationdevelopedintheMunicipalEducationNetwork (REME) ofCampo Grande/MS.In this perspective qualitative research was adopted to address and discusspublicpolicies for the training of literacy teachers, going through the laws and programs of federal (PróLetramento and PNAIC) and municipal (Bet on the teacher). Datacollection occurred through semi-structured interviews with literacy teachers in municipal schools in CampoGrande/MS. The research showed that the teaching conception of the literacy teacher who works at REME now understands literacy a graduallearning process, now comprises the learning of literacy articulated with maturity. We also identified the concept of teaching permeated by affection and aptitude, thus tracing a literacy teacher profile. And finally, the conception of teaching based on the need to master systematized knowledge that permeates the literacy process, which allowed us to reflect and discuss the continuing formations offered to REME professorswho centralize discussions in teaching practices to leverage educational indices. It was concluded that there is an urgent need to restructure formations in order to enable discussions that include theory, practice and specificities experienced in the classroom enabling the acquisition of new knowledge and a critical look at the teaching-learning process, providing studies and reflections that articulate and resign the teaching conception of the literacy teacher.
