By profiling and an approximation, we investigate the behaviour of the likelihood function, to see if it is suitable for ML estimation. Particular attention is given to the shape of the likelihood around the maximum point in order to see whether the information matrix will give a good guide to the variability of the estimates. T

Some commonly used tools in literature, which solve the problem of indeterminacy in model selection, are the Intrinsic Bayes factor (IBF) and the Fractional Bayes factor (FBF). Many biclustering algorithms on continuous data have emerged over the last decade. Abstract:
碩士<br>國立東華大學<br>資訊工程學系<br>98<br>The H.264/AVC video coding standard was recently developed by the Joint Video Team (JVT) consisting of experts from international study groups, Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG) and Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG), which significantly improves video coding. Motion estimation is one of the core designs of the H.264/AVC video coding. Variable block size motion estimation (VBSME) is a new video coding technique which improves video distortion, provides more accurate predictions, reduces video coding data, and increases the utilization of network bandwidth.
