Abstract:
Sketch based image retrieval (SBIR) is a sub-domain of Content Based Image Retrieval(CBIR) where the user provides a drawing as an input to obtain i.e retrieve images relevant to the drawing given. The main challenge in SBIR is the subjectivity of the drawings drawn by the user as it entirely relies on the user's ability to express information in hand-drawn form. Since many of the SBIR models created aim at using singular input sketch and retrieving photos based on the given single sketch input, our project aims to enable detection and extraction of multiple sketches given together as a single input sketch image. The features are extracted from individual sketches obtained using deep learning architectures such as VGG16 , and classified to its type based on supervised machine learning using Support Vector Machines. Based on the class obtained, photos are retrieved from the database using an opencv library, CVLib , which finds the objects present in a photo image. From the number of components obtained in each photo, a ranking function is performed to rank the retrieved photos, which are then displayed to the user starting from the highest order of ranking up to the least. The system consisting of VGG16 and SVM provides 89% accuracy

Abstract:

Abstract:
Variable ventilation (VV), characterized by breath-to-breath variation of tidal volume (Vt) and breathing rate (f), has been shown to improve lung mechanics and blood oxygenation during acute lung injury in many species compared with conventional ventilation (CV), characterized by constant Vt and f. During CV as well as VV, the lungs of mice tend to collapse over time; therefore, the goal of this study was to develop a new VV mode (VVN) with an optimized distribution of Vt to maximize recruitment. Groups of normal and HCl-injured mice were subjected to 1 h of CV, original VV (VVO), CV with periodic large breaths (CVLB), and VVN, and the effects of ventilation modes on respiratory mechanics, airway pressure, blood oxygenation, and IL-1β were assessed. During CV and VVO, normal and injured mice showed regional lung collapse with increased airway pressures and poor oxygenation. CVLB and VVN resulted in a stable dynamic equilibrium with significantly improved respiratory mechanics and oxygenation. Nevertheless, VVN provided a consistently better physiological response. In injured mice, VVO and VVN, but not CVLB, were able to reduce the IL-1β-related inflammatory response compared with CV. In conclusion, our results suggest that application of higher Vt values than the single Vt currently used in clinical situations helps stabilize lung function. In addition, variable stretch patterns delivered to the lung by VV can reduce the progression of lung injury due to ventilation in injured mice.

Abstract:
1. The cerebral ventral 1 (CV1) interneurones of Lymnaea occurred as a population of at least three in each ganglion, all with similar morphologies. Steady depolarization of a CV1 cell led to initiation and maintenance of rhythmic feeding motor output from the buccal ganglia. 2. CV1 interneurones produced facilitating excitatory postsynaptic potentials in Nl interneurones of the buccal central pattern generator for feeding. Connections with N2 interneurones were not found. 3. The CV1 population could be separated into two subgroups. CVla received strong synaptic feedback in phase with the buccal rhythm, leading to strong bursting during generation of feeding motor output. CVlb received only weak feedback, and often fired continuously when depolarized. 4. Unitary inhibitory postsynaptic potentials were characteristic of all CV1 neurones, but were only visible in CVlb when it was depolarized. These inputs are thought to arise indirectly from the buccal central pattern generator. 5. The CV1 population is probably homologous with similar neurones in other gastropod species.

Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper presents an optimization algorithm for tuning the interpolation parameters of computer numerical control (CNC) controllers; it operates by considering multiple objective functions, namely, contour errors, the machining time (MT), and vibrations. The position commands, position errors, and vibration signals from 1024 experiments were considered in the designed trajectory. The experimental data—the maximum contour error (MCoE), MT, and corner vibration (CVib)—were analyzed to compute the performance index. A backpropagation neural network (BPNN) with 20 hidden layers was applied to predict the performance index. The correlation coefficients for the predicted values and experimental results for the MCoE, MT, and CVib based on the validation data were 0.9984, 0.9998, and 0.9354, respectively. The high correlation coefficients highlight the accuracy of the model for designing the interpolation parameter. After the BPNN model was developed, a genetic algorithm (GA) was adopted to determine the optimized parameters of the interpolation under different weighting of the performance index. A weighted sum approach involving the objective function was employed to determine the optimized interpolation parameters in the GA. Thus, operators can judge the feasibility of the interpolation parameter for various weighting settings. Finally, a mixed path was selected to verify the proposed algorithm.

Abstract:
Currently, in conditions of distance learning of students, the problem of the organization of practical and laboratory works acquires special importance. This mainly applies to technical universities, where training in normal conditions is carried out on real equipment and using specialized software. As a result, there is an urgent need to create virtual labs as an effective platform for distance learning for students, particularly in the field of cybersecurity. In this case, one of the effective solutions is to create and deploy a Cybersecurity Virtual Laboratory (CVLab) for distance learning, which will help ensure continuous quality training of future professionals. Besides, distance learning must not be for informational purposes only. Therefore, the formation of practical skills of students requires rapid development and implementation of the effective means of distance learning. Recently, the trend of virtualization of both networks and computers has developed intensively, which allows the development and implementation of more flexible types of virtualized laboratory solutions, including for distance learning. The number of virtualization tools, as well as the latest network equipment created to work in a virtual environment (hypervisors) is increasing. Thus, virtualization allows us to overcome the limitations of traditional networks and hardware network laboratories, given their high cost, power consumption, stability, a limited number of devices, and so on. The introduction of the virtual cybersecurity laboratory CVLab in order to increase the effectiveness of distance education meets the objectives of the Cybersecurity Strategy of Ukraine, as well as priorities and areas of its provision, ranging from general digital literacy to training of security sector actors.

Abstract:

Abstract:
In European Portuguese, the domain for sandhi phenomena is the intonational phrase. Unlike the intonational phrase, the phonological phrase has been shown to be only relevant for rhythm and prominence-related phenomena (Frota, 2000, 2014). Fricative voicing between words (casa[ʒb]rancas, casa[ʃp]retas) and ressylabification before vowel-initial words (casa[zɐ]marelas) occur within the intonational phrase. In this study, we considered spontaneous productions of a Portuguese child (Luma), aged 2;04-4;00, to examine the acquisition of external consonantal sandhi. The data show that sandhi production varies according to the segmental (C#C, C#V, CFric, CVib, CLat) and prosodic context (clitic, prosodic word, position in prosodic structure). The data further confirm that sandhi occurs within the intonational phrase, supporting the analysis proposed for the adult grammar. This study contributes to the understanding of the relationship between the acquisition of the prosodic structure and the acquisition of sandhi phenomena.

Abstract:
Today, image forgery is common due to the massification of low-cost/high-resolution digital cameras, along with the accessibility of computer programs for image processing. All media is affected by this issue, which makes the public doubt the news. Though image modification is a typical process in entertainment, when images are taken as evidence in a legal process, modification cannot be considered trivial. Digital forensics has the challenge of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of digital images to overcome this issue. This investigation introduces an algorithm to detect the main types of pixel-based alterations such as copy-move forgery, resampling, and splicing in digital images. For the evaluation of the algorithm, CVLAB, CASIA V1, Columbia, and Columbia Uncompressed datasets were used. Of 7100 images evaluated, 3666 were unaltered, 791 had resampling, 2213 had splicing, and 430 had copy-move forgeries. The algorithm detected all proposed forgery pixel methods with an accuracy of 91%. The main novelties of the proposal are the reduced number of features needed for identification and its robustness for the file format and image size.

Abstract:
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a common treatment of atrial fibrillation. However, current treatment is associated with a greater than 20% recurrence rate, in part due to inadequate monitoring of tissue viability during ablation. Spectral parameters, in particular cyclic variation of integrated backscatter (CVIB), have shown promise as early indicators of myocardial recovery from ischemia. Our aim was to demonstrate the use of spectral parameters to differentiate atrial myocardium before and after radiofrequency ablation. An AcuNav 10 F catheter was used to collect radiofrequency signals from the posterior wall of the left atrium of patients before and immediately after RFA for AF. The normalized power spectrum was obtained and three spectral parameters (integrated backscatter [IB], slope, and intercept) were extracted across two continuous heart cycles. Parameters were gated for ventricular end-diastole and compared before and after ablation. Additionally, the cyclic variation of each of these three parameters was generated as an average of the variation across the two recorded heart cycles. Data from 14 patients before and after ablation demonstrated a significant difference in the magnitude of the cyclic variation of integrated backscatter (9.0 vs. 6.0 dB, p < .001) and cyclic variation of the intercept (14.0 vs. 11.5 dB, p = .04). No significant difference was noted in the magnitude of the cyclic variation of the slope. Among spectral parameters gated for end-diastole, significant differences were noted in the slope (−4.39 vs. −3.73 dB/MHz, p = .002) and intercept (16.8 vs. 11.9 dB, p = .002). No significant difference was noted in the integrated backscatter. Spectral parameters are able to differentiate atrial myocardium before and immediately following ablation and may be useful in monitoring atrial ablations.
