Il cibo influenza il modo in cui le persone si relazionano allo spazio e fanno casa. Attraverso la costruzione di una competenza culinaria, i migranti danno senso alle nuove situazioni, tra memoria e adattamenti alle grammatiche alimentari dei con-testi di accoglienza. Nell'articolo si intrecciano le voci di richiedenti asilo e rifugiati con quelle di operatrici e operatori. Proponiamo una visione interdisciplinare delle pratiche alimentari all'interno di un ventaglio di Centri d'Accoglienza Straordinaria (CAS) e del sistema ex-SPRAR (Sistema di protezione per richiedenti asilo e rifu-giati) dell'area montana e prealpina delle valli cuneesi e della provincia di Lecco, con l'obiettivo di analizzare come spazi diversi generino possibilità distinte di uti-lizzo della "valigia del cibo" e come i nuovi arrivati abbiano agentivamente elabo-rato soluzioni creative di homemaking e di interazione sociale.

Abstract:
- Beyond the sum of the deaths and of the economic damages caused by war, war accounting has always shown little regard to the mental health traumas caused by these events. And yet many research studies, based both on the major nineteen century conflicts and on the more recent ones, show that psychic traumas provoked by war can persist with their victims often for many decades. My specific research took into consideration the patients of the Neuropsychiatric Hospital of Racconigi, between 1938 and 1947. This mental hospital hosted psychiatric patients from the Cuneo Province during this specific period. More than 2,500 cases have been taken into consideration of which hundreds were soldiers and civilians committed to this hospital after taking part directly in war actions or as victims of war actions, namely soldiers coming back from the Russian military campaign and civilian survivors of the Boves' slaughter. This research has been possible thanks to the noteworthy helpfulness of the sanitary institution that maintains the medical records of this hospital, including individual case files containing medical documents, public acts and private letters. These historical sources, scarcely used in research, have allowed me to look into the human and cultural atmosphere of the time and to analyze the complexity of the power relations among patients, their relatives, public authorities and medical doctors.Key words: War, mental traumas, psychiatric hospital, medical records, soldiers, civilians.Parole chiave: Guerra, traumi mentali, ospedale psichiatrico, cartelle cliniche, soldati, civili.

La valorizzazione dell'occupazione femminile è considerato un obiettivo strategico per lo sviluppo del paese, ma persistono ancora numerose difficoltŕ per le donne ad accedere a determinate posizioni ed occupazioni, in particolare la presenza delle donne rimane minoritaria nel campo dell'imprenditoria. Il presente articolo si propone di mostrare come l'imprenditoria possa essere una delle modalitŕ attraverso le quali far crescere l'occupazione femminile e contribuire all'innovazione dei sistemi produttivi locali. In particolare, la ricerca si concentra sul territorio della provincia di Cuneo, un contesto locale di "successo economico" ma allo stesso tempo portatore di valori tradizionali. I risultati di ricerca fanno emergere l'importanza del capitale sociale e delle politiche per il suo sostegno. In questo quadro è cruciale il contesto istituzionale in cui le imprese si collocano ed il contributo che le istituzioni pubbliche possono dare per una "costruzione sociale dell'innovazione".

Piedmont is characterized by the presence of numerous earthen buildings mainly concentrated in the province of Alessandria. Studies conducted over the last decade, however, have shown the presence of interesting examples of these buildings also in the provinces of Asti, Torino, Biella and Cuneo. They are generally two-storied rural constructions, built with both fired bricks (for the bearing structures) and adobe (for internal and external walls).

AbstractThe fall webworm, Hyphantria cunea (Drury) (Lepidoptera: Arctiidae), is an invasive and important pest in China. Investigations on insect natural enemies have been conducted from 1996 to 1999 in five provinces and one municipality of China in order to select effective species for biological control. Two carabid predators (Coleoptera) and 25 parasitoid species were found, among which 23 were parasitic wasps (Hymenoptera), including five hyperparasitic species and two tachinid flies (Diptera). The two carabids preyed on young larvae inside webs, two braconid wasps parasitized larvae, and 18 parasitoid species attacked the fall webworm during the pupal and/or ‘larval-pupal’ stages. Among these parasitoids, there were one genus and nine species that are new to science and four species new to China, which were described and published by the senior author Yang. The average parasitism rates of fall webworm pupae were 25.8% and 16.1% in the overwintering generation and the first generation (summer generation), respectively. These findings reveal that these natural enemies play an important role in the natural control of the pest. Chouioia cunea Yang (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae), a gregarious pupal endo-parasitoid, was recommended as a promising biological control agent against the fall webworm in China.

Abstract:
El suelo es el recurso natural más vulnerable frente al cambio climático, debido a que constituye la mayor reserva de carbono y su potencial productivo se encuentra amenazado por la intensificación de la explotación agrícola y ganadera. La capacidad de almacenar carbono orgánico del suelo (COS) por los pastizales debe ser estudiada, ya que ocupan la mayor superficie en el planeta. El objetivo de la investigación fue caracterizar dos suelos cultivados con pasto Bachearía sp. mediante la descripción de algunas propiedades generales del suelo y la producción de biomasa neta (PNB) a nivel radicular; además, se analizó el almacenamiento de COS a diferentes profundidades en pastizales de la provincia de El Oro (Ecuador). Se establecieron parcelas de 3.0 ha en las localidades Santa Inés (SI) y Comuna Cune (CN), donde se tomaron muestras de suelo y de biomasa radicular del pasto. La profundidad del muestreo fue de 0-0.10 m (C1), 0.10-0.20 m (C2) y 0.20-0.30 m (C3). Las diferencias se mostraron en el pH del suelo (alcalinidad para SI; acidez para CN), y en los porcentajes de arcilla (<157.11 g kg-1 en CN). Se determinó mayor número de unidades formadoras de colonias en bacterias y de PNB en CN, así como la mayor acumulación de COS (C3= 35.01 Mg ha-1; C2=33.44 Mg ha-1), mientras en SI el mayor valor fue de 18.43 Mg ha-1 en C1. En general, los resultados sugieren que se necesita un adecuado conocimiento de la geología para limitar mejor la evolución del COS almacenado.

Abstract:
Pendant les dernières trente années le centre historique de la ville Fossano (Coni, Piémont) a été intéressé par nombreuses fouilles et plusieurs sondages archéologiques à la suite des fréquents travaux de construction. Ces interventions, liées au développement de la ville, ont toujours eu un caractère d'urgence, de sauvetage, préventif, sans être jamais liées à une programmation précédente. L'étude de chaque site a imposé du début l’analyse approfondie des modalités d'intervention et de la méthodologie de fouille. Dans la plupart des cas, l'analyse stratigraphique a été liée à celle du mobilier archéologique, qui, en absence de structures protohistoriques ou de niveaux anthropiques en place, est le seul élément qui nous a permis de dater la première période d’occupation du site. Est possible dater au XIe siècle av. J.-C. (Ha B1 ancien du plateau suisse) le début d’une présence humaine permanente sur toute la surface sommitale du plateau de Fossano, avec son apogée pendant la transition Bronze/Fer italien. Le groupe céramique de Fossano se place dans un contexte culturel propre de la fin du l'âge du Bronze final du nord-ouest de l'Italie, intermédiaire entre la culture du Protogolasecca de la Lombardie et du Piémont orientale et la culture RSFO. Dans ces territoires au l'extrême nord-ouest de l’Italie les influences RSFO sont très profondes, surtout de la Suisse occidentale et des régions de l’est de la France. Les caractéristiques spécifiques du Piémont occidentale le rendant plus apparenté aux complexes nord alpins qu'à ceux de l'Italie péninsulaire, jouant un rôle fondamental dans le tableau des relations entre les deux versants alpins pendant toute la préhistoire
During the last thirty years the historic center of Fossano (Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy) has undergone numerous archaeological excavations and survey as a result of many construction works related to the development of the city. These operations have never been programmed, but always related to emergency situations or preventive archaeology. The study of each site imposed an early-depth analysis of the applied methods of intervention and excavation. In most cases, the stratigraphic analysis is linked to the archaeological material, which, in the absence of proper prehistorical levels or structures, is the only element that has allowed us to date the early moments of occupation of the site. The beginning of a permanent human presence on the Fossano plateau is Probably dated to the end of the 11th century BC (Ha B1 in the Swiss plateau), with its peak during the transition between the Italian Bronze age and Iron age. The ceramic group of Fossano is located in the final Italian Bronze age in the Northwest of Italy, intermediate between the culture of Protogolasecca of Lombardy and eastern Piedmont and the RSFO culture. In these territories, in the extreme north-west of Italy, the RSFO influences are very strong, especially from the western territories of Switzerland and the eastern regions of France. The specific characteristics of western Piedmont making it more similar to the northern Alpine complex as those of the Italian peninsula; playing a fundamental role in the relations between the two sides of the Alpes during the prehistory

In the Piedmont region (Italy) the electronic ticketing system called BIP, is currently active across much of its territory, and thedata collected in the Province of Cuneo since the full activation of the system (2014) provide today a sound source ofinformation. Two different travel documents are available, travel passes and pay-per-use, with different validation rules: check-inonly for travel passes and check-in and check-out for pay-per-use. Data produced by this electronic ticketing system employingsmart cards allow to perform a detailed analysis of each user’s behaviour, and calculate time and space distributions of eachpassenger trip. In detail, data originating from smart card transactions allow to trace back the trip chains, establish journey originsand destinations, and produce a “travel diary” for each passenger. Based on this data, performance indicators (i.e. load factor) aswell as user mobility patterns and origin-destination matrices can be calculated in an automated and reliable way. This articlepresents a methodology for assessing the quality of the data collected when information about boarding and alighting stops isavailable from the (on board) validation system. It also presents an algorithm to assign a destination for each trip where only theboarding information is available. In the case study of the Province of Cuneo, it was found that 91% of the pay-per-use journeydata are reliable and can be used for further analysis, whereas with the use of the proposed algorithm it was possible to estimatethe destinations for 82% of the travel pass trips.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.4995/CIT2016.2016.1999
