Abstract:
Abstract This article aims to compare and contrast the concepts of subjectivity represented in literature and constructed in borders: physical and imaginary geopolitical sites that have positioned identities in the margins throughout history. The comparative analysis examines the representation of marginal identities in literary texts, specifically those written by authors belonging to hyphenated cultures such as the Cuban-American Gustavo Pérez-Firmat (1994), “Bilingual Blues,” and Mexican-American Gloria Anzaldúa’s “La encrucijada,” among others, mentioned in the bibliography. The study shows that the portrayal of subjectivity and subalternity in literary texts contends with diverse discourses of power and hefty political structures that tend to repress and to delimit character’s development and conditions as human beings living in the United States.

Abstract:
The objective of this study is to know the educational intervention practices that strengthen visual perception in elementary school students, for that reason we went to the review of various bibliographic sources managing to locate 44 original scientific articles plus a doctoral thesis in different languages between the years 2012 and 2022; belonging to countries such as: Ecuador, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, United States, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Saudi Arabia. Likewise, the bibliographic location was carried out in Scopus, Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet, EDUSER, Researchgate and RCM journals; using different search strategies: keyword, topic and/or follow-up of the bibliography of a base document. After an analysis of the theories, it can be mentioned that pedagogical praxis are important to strengthen perception skills in school-age students, concluding that if they are accompanied by strategies and the use of digital resources, they overcome the deficiencies within a learning process in the classroom.

Abstract:
In this essay, we intend to demonstrate how the cities of Havana and Cádiz became mutable literary subjects that accompany the female characters of the narratives of female writers of the past decades from Havana (Anna Lidia Vega Serova, Ena Lucía Portela, and Mylene Fernández Pintado) and Cádiz (Ana Rossetti and Pilar Paz Pasamar). The ironic and delusional visions of a ruined life due to the special period, economic crisis, and political xenophobia in Cádiz will be illustrated by Cuban-Spanish mapping of the analyzed authors’ works. Our hypothesis stems from the idea that there is a clear relation between the representation of the city and political, cultural, and patriarchal transgression that is quoted in these texts (Bataille), which relates to the experience of scarcity/poverty lived on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Our bibliographic search has focused on the literary expression of the experience of these cities from the point of view of female writers and protagonists. We concluded with a universal understanding of the experience of the space marked by literature and the gaze of women.

Abstract:
The theme proposed in this Article is: ‘The Legacy of Machado de Assis.’ The development of this Article took place under the qualitative methodology with bibliographic, qualitative, referential, interpretive, descriptive and critical-dialectical methods. Reflecting on Machado is the main objective of this Article, considering the importance of Machado de Assis: one of the greatest names in Brazilian Literature, if not the greatest. Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis is the main author of Realism in Brazil: he is considered the biggest name in the movement in this country. In fact, he is considered the introducer of Realism in Brazil, with the publication of ‘Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas’ (1881). The Legacy of Machado de Assis helped immensely in the building of the Brazilian Literary Critique. Initially I will deal with Some Critics by Machado; later I will talk about The PostMachado Literature; and then I will weave my Final Considerations. I hope the academic environment will receive a good contribution, both practical and theoretical, by carrying out my analyses.

Abstract:
The world of finance is immersed in multiple controversies, laden with contradictions and uncertainties typical of a social ecosystem, generating dynamic changes that lead to significant transformations, where the thematic discussion of Big Data becomes crucial for real-time logical decision-making. In this field of knowledge is located this article, which reports as a general objective to explore the strengths, weaknesses and future trends of Big Data in the financial sector, using as a methodology for exploration a scientific approach with the bibliographic tools scopus and scielo, using as a search equation the Big Data, delimited to the financial sector. The findings showed the growing importance of gaining knowledge from the huge amount of financial data generated daily globally, developing predictive capacity towards creating scenarios inclined to find solutions and make timely decisions. Brown, Alan. "Using social constructionism, narrative therapy, bibliography, and social psychology in an examination of the Cuban people's polarized aesthetic and historiographical responses to the Cuban revolution." Thesis, University of Aberdeen, 2010. http://digitool.abdn.ac.uk:80/webclient/DeliveryManager?pid=165715.

Full text
Abstract:
Social constructionists argue that through narrative human beings create the realities that they subsequently inhabit. Since Cuba first gained its independence, the nation has been beset by a series of historiographical battles in which various political actors have vied for hegemony over Cuba’s past. If the conflicts that occurred in the first half of the twentieth century revolved around attempts by disparate competing factions to confer legitimacy on their respective ideological projects by successfully appropriating the figure of José Marti, then the last fifty years have been characterised by struggles between revolutionary hagiographers and anticommunist revisionists over the true natures of the Batista regime, its Castroite replacement, as well as of the figures of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. This dissertation examines Cuba’s post-Batista linguistic conflict with itself through the lens of social psychology as well as by employing the closely related disciplines of social constructionism, narrative therapy, and bibliotherapy in an attempt to understand what effects the various discourses have had on the nation. After initially teasing out the relationship between draconian censorship and the emergence of an aesthetics of misanthropy, I proceed to illustrate how the works of certain Cuban mystery novelists in the 1990s highlight the need for historiographical reconciliation by gesturing towards the plethora of historical ambiguities that problematised national reconciliation. The fourth and fifth chapters investigate how these narratological contestations play out with respect to the figures of Castro and Guevara. I use narrative mediation to illustrate how, in order for internecine divisions to be eradicated, a more objective biographical approach to these individuals – and one which transcends Manicheanism – is required.  The concluding chapter focuses on how a redemptive literary aesthetics has been marshalled to lift Cuba out of its ontological abyss.
