Abstract:
The monograph presents the results of a scientific study, the novelty of which lies in a meaningful methodological reinterpretation of the Itskovitz triple helix model for Russian conditions and mentality with the filling of economic and mathematical tools. The main three components of the study are: the adaptation of the CU model to Russian conditions, taking into account historical retrospect, and the tasks of the economic environment. It can be used by students, postgraduates, teachers as a textbook; by researchers and specialists of practical economics - to solve complex methodological practice-oriented problems.

Gardner, Colin. Bridging Bateson, Deleuze and Guattari Through Metamodelisation: What Brian Massumi Can Teach Us About Animal Politics. Edinburgh University Press, 2018. http://dx.doi.org/10.3366/edinburgh/9781474422734.003.0009.

Full text
Abstract:
This chapter turns to the seminal work of the English anthropologist/ cyberneticist, Gregory Bateson (1904-80) as a crucial ecological and ludic foundation not only for the work of Deleuze and Guattari – the pair coined the term ‘plateau’ as a continuous, self-vibrating region of intensities from Bateson’s study of Balinese culture – but also Brian Massumi’s more recent exploration of the supernormal tendency in animal play as a metacommunicative model for a new form of political metamodelisation based on Guattari’s advocacy of an ethico-aesthetic paradigm. Drawing heavily on Bateson’s 1955 essay, ‘A Theory of Play and Fantasy’, Massumi stresses how, for example, a play fight between wolf cubs entails the staging of a paradox, whereby a cub bites and at the same time says ‘This is not a bite, this is not a fight, this is a game,’ whereby the ludic stands in for the suspended analogue: real combat. Massumi calls this level of abstraction game’s ‘-esqueness,’ its metacommunicative level which self-reflexively mobilizes a vitality affect that generates a trans-situational process that moves across and between intersecting existential territories. The latter entails the construction of a third dimension, the ‘included middle’ of play and combat’s mutual influence, which Massumi calls ‘sympathy’.

Han, Shihui. A culture–behavior–brain-loop model of human development. Oxford University Press, 2017. http://dx.doi.org/10.1093/acprof:oso/9780198743194.003.0008.

Full text
Abstract:
Chapter 8 introduces a culture–behavior–brain (CBB)-loop model of human development based on cultural neuroscience findings, and proposes a new framework for understanding human development regarding both human phylogeny and lifespan ontogeny. This model posits that culture shapes the brain by contextualizing behavior, and the brain fits and modifies culture via behavioral influences. Genes provide a fundamental basis for and interact with the CBB loop at both individual and population levels. The CBB-loop model advances our understanding of the dynamic relationships between culture, behavior, and the brain. Future brain changes owing to cultural influences are discussed based on the CBB-loop model.

The Deshkan Ziibi Conservation Impact Bond Project: On Conservation Finance, Decolonization, and Community-Based Participatory Research. Western Libraries, 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.5206/101121ipib.

Full text
Abstract:
The Deshkan Ziibi Conservation Impact Bond (CIB) model was developed in Canada as a novel approach to conservation finance building on components of existing conservation funding models. The CIB model responds to the urgent need for piloting reconciliatory and cross-cultural ways of collaborating with Indigenous communities to diversify investment partnerships and redirect capital to conservation efforts that promote the regeneration of land and reciprocal and respectful relationships in southern Ontario. The CIB is a financial instrument that facilitates cross-cultural collaboration by providing a common goal amongst a diverse set of sectors, partners, and worldviews to promote healthy landscapes and empower relationships between people and ecosystems. By leveraging financial incentives, this model aims to engage partners who may not have otherwise been attracted to conservation efforts. By tying financial returns to impact metrics of holistic landscape health that incorporate Indigenous worldviews and values of nature, this innovative instrument seeks to contribute towards shifting the conservation finance paradigm more broadly by engaging in the ongoing process of decolonizing the financialization of nature.
