Abstract:
Abstract Coactivators p300 and CREB (cyclic adenosine monophosphate [cAMP]–response element binding protein)–binding protein (CBP) serve as an integrator for gene transcription. Their relative involvement in regulating cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) promoter activity had not been characterized. Using fibroblast and macrophage COX-2 transcription as a model, we determined p300 and CBP levels in nuclear extracts and their binding to a COX-2 promoter probe. CBP level was barely detectable and there was little CBP binding. In contrast, p300 was detectable in nucleus and its binding to a COX-2 promoter probe was enhanced by phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), or lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Binding of p300/CBP-associated factor (PCAF) was also up-regulated. COX-2 proteins and promoter activities induced by these agonists were augmented by p300 overexpression. Early region 1A (E1A), but not its deletion mutant, abrogated COX-2 expression induced by inflammatory mediators and with or without p300 overexpression. Molecular analysis of p300 revealed the requirement of multiple domains, including histone acetyltransferase (HAT) for COX-2 transactivation. Furthermore, roscovitine, an indirect inhibitor of p300 HAT, and histone deacetylase-1 transfection completely abolished COX-2 promoter activity. We conclude that p300 is the predominant coactivator that is essential for COX-2 transcriptional activation by proinflammatory mediators.

Abstract:
Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) imaging agents are potent tools for early cancer diagnosis. Almost all of the COX2 imaging agents using celecoxib as backbone were chemically modified in the position of N-atom in the sulfonamide group. Herein, a novel COX-2 probe (CCY-5) with high targeting ability and a near-infrared wavelength (achieved by attaching a CY-5 dye on the pyrazole ring of celecoxib using a migration strategy) was evaluated for its ability to probe COX-2 in human cancer cells. CCY-5 is expected to have high binding affinity for COX-2 based on molecular docking and enzyme inhibition assay. Meanwhile, CCY-5 caused stronger fluorescence imaging of COX-2 overexpressing cancer cells (Hela and SCC-9 cells) than that of normal cell lines (RAW 264.7 cells). Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) treated RAW264.7 cells revealed an enhanced fluorescence as LPS was known to induce COX-2 in these cells. In inhibitory studies, a markedly reduced fluorescence intensity was observed in cancer cells, when they were co-treated with a COX-2 inhibitor celecoxib. Therefore, CCY-5 may be a selective bioimaging agent for cancer cells overexpressing COX-2 and could be useful as a good monitoring candidate for effective diagnosis and therapy in cancer treatment.

Abstract:
Although several studies propose a chemopreventive effect of aspirin for colorectal cancer (CRC) development, the general use of aspirin cannot be recommended due to its adverse side effects. As the protective effect of aspirin has been associated with an increased expression of COX-2, molecular imaging of COX-2, for instance, during confocal endomicroscopy could enable the identification of patients who would possibly benefit from aspirin treatment. In this pilot trial, we used a COX-2-specific fluorescent probe for detection of colitis-associated and sporadic CRC in mice using confocal microscopy. Following the injection of the COX-2 probe into tumor-bearing APCmin mice or mice exposed to the AOM + DSS model of colitis-associated cancer, the tumor-specific upregulation of COX-2 could be validated with in vivo fluorescence imaging. Subsequent confocal imaging of tumor tissue showed an increased number of COX-2 expressing cells when compared to the normal mucosa of healthy controls. COX-2-expression was detectable with subcellular resolution in tumor cells and infiltrating stroma cells. These findings pose a proof of concept and suggest the use of CLE for the detection of COX-2 expression during colorectal cancer surveillance endoscopy. This could improve early detection and stratification of chemoprevention in patients with CRC.

Abstract:
We combine theoretical and experimental X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy (XANES) to probe the local environment around cationic sites of bulk spinel cobalt tetraoxide (Co3O4). Specifically, we analyse the oxygen K-edge spectrum. We find an excellent agreement between our calculated spectra based on the density functional theory and the projector augmented wave method, previous calculations as well as with the experiment. The oxygen K-edge spectrum shows a strong pre-edge peak which can be ascribed to dipole transitions from O 1s to O 2p states hybridized with the unoccupied 3d states of cobalt atoms. Also, since Co3O4 contains two types of Co atoms, i.e., Co3+ and Co2+, we find that contribution of Co2+ ions to the pre-edge peak is solely due to single spin-polarized t2g orbitals (dxz, dyz, and dxy) while that of Co3+ ions is due to spin-up and spin-down polarized eg orbitals (dx2−y2 and dz2). Furthermore, we deduce the magnetic moments on the Co3+ and Co2+ to be zero and 3.00 μB respectively. This is consistent with an earlier experimental study which found that the magnetic structure of Co3O4 consists of antiferromagnetically ordered Co2+ spins, each of which is surrounded by four nearest neighbours of oppositely directed spins.

Abstract:
Box-Cox transformation allows functional forms more flexible. On the basis of the principle of model optimization, an empirical study is made for housing market of Hangzhou City. By collecting 2417 housing data in Hangzhou City, a housing hedonic price model with Box-Cox transformations is set up with 18 factors as housing characteristics. The model is estimated after the grid-search procedure by using MATLAB and SPSS software, and the statistical test shows that the logarithmic function is the optimal form. The model comparisons in the fitness and forecasting performance indicate that the logarithmic model is superior to other three models of the linear, semi-logarithmic and inverse semi-logarithmic. Empirical analysis suggests that the Box-Cox transformation is valid and feasible in choosing functional forms, can be used to optimize hedonic price models.

Abstract:
Life cycle cost (LCC) analysis was performed for a 1.6 million tons per year (30,000 BPD) delayed coking unit. The results show that the LCC of coke production is higher than the price of coke and profits are obtained at the expense of environmental costs. The feedstock cost accounts for a majority of LCC. The variability impacts of processing expenses and carbon dioxide (CO2) price on LCC are relative similar. This suggests that if a higher CO2 price is imposed on coke production, it is unlikely that the producer will make any effort to reduce the CO2 emissions either by improving the efficiency of coking process or implement CO2 remediation initiatives. The CO2 price increase will be considered as a processing cost increase. The green factor (GF) is predominantly dependent on coke price; an increased coke price improves the GF significantly. Increased CO2 price has a negative impact on GF, but the relative incremental impact of CO2 price on GF is less at high CO2 prices. Hence, there is little can be done to improve the GF of coke production, since the coke price is beyond the control of coke producer.

Abstract:
Pricing greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions involves making trade-offs between consumption today and unknown damages in the (distant) future. While decision making under risk and uncertainty is the forte of financial economics, important insights from pricing financial assets do not typically inform standard climate–economy models. Here, we introduce EZ-Climate, a simple recursive dynamic asset pricing model that allows for a calibration of the carbon dioxide (CO2) price path based on probabilistic assumptions around climate damages. Atmospheric CO2 is the “asset” with a negative expected return. The economic model focuses on society’s willingness to substitute consumption across time and across uncertain states of nature, enabled by an Epstein–Zin (EZ) specification that delinks preferences over risk from intertemporal substitution. In contrast to most modeled CO2 price paths, EZ-Climate suggests a high price today that is expected to decline over time as the “insurance” value of mitigation declines and technological change makes emissions cuts cheaper. Second, higher risk aversion increases both the CO2 price and the risk premium relative to expected damages. Lastly, our model suggests large costs associated with delays in pricing CO2 emissions. In our base case, delaying implementation by 1 y leads to annual consumption losses of over 2%, a cost that roughly increases with the square of time per additional year of delay. The model also makes clear how sensitive results are to key inputs.

The cost of carbon emission allowances is an opportunity cost for industries affected, since these allowances can be traded in the market. Particularly in the electrical sector this issue has triggered public attention, due to the possibility of including this opportunity cost in the electricity prices, generating windfall profits for utilities. To assess the existence of this pass-through in the newly created Iberian Electricity Market, we collect data on prices of electricity, fuel and CO2 allowances, and we use a Vector Autoregressive (VAR) Model. We conclude that there is evidence of CO2 cost pass-through to the electricity price, being a slightly higher in Portugal than in Spain. The CO2 cost pass-through still seems to be higher at peak load than at base load.

World economic development, starting with industrial revolution in the late 18th century, has led to increasing pollution levels all over the world. Depletion of natural resources has been the result and the price paid for all the amenities and comfort bring by development. Because of this, world governments decided to try to find a consensual way to control pollution escalation. The first successful international attempt to do that is known as „The Kyoto Protocol‟ and entered into force on 16 February 2005, 90 days after its ratification by Russia. There, 54 countries put forward the overall goal of reducing GHG emissions by 20% below 1990 levels, until 2020. Following Kyoto Protocol signature, European Union has implemented its own carbon control scheme, the so-called European Union Emission Trading Scheme (EU-ETS), which leads the carbon control worldwide movements, since then. With the general aim of incorporating externalities caused by pollution in the production costs and to foster investment in clean technologies, the EU-ETS was launched through an EU directive. Within Kyoto framework, this new EU ETS imposed emission‟s caps over each European country and established specific carbon trading schemes to mitigate emitted pollution. Some years after the launching of EU ETS, carbon financial products have also developed all over international Stock Exchanges. So far, emission markets have not yet been consistently studied from a financial point of view and we still have a lack of academic work on the specific subject of pricing dynamics of the EUAs, CERs and other carbon assets, as well as its derivatives. So, using European Energy Exchange data with a time spam of more than five years, this thesis attempts to evaluate which market – spot or forward – leads the carbon price discovery process. We focus specifically on carbon future prices and on carbon spot prices, analysing them in a most thorough way. After analyzing the statistical properties of data, we focus on the most important concepts in the commodity markets: the convenience yield, the risk premium and the relationship between these variables, for the Exchange under analysis. We analyze carbon futures prices from an ex-post perspective to find if there is evidence for significant positive risk premia and conclude that a negative relationship between risk premia and time-to-maturity does exist. When testing for factors influencing risk premia and convenience yields, we obtain results implying that spot price volatility impact negatively both of them and that the price itself impact the convenience yield in a positive way; more, generally convenience yields influence risk premia in a positive way. Results change depending on the Kyoto Protocol Phase and on the characteristics of the assets used, but seem to confirm that uncertainties about the future of the EU ETS are disappearing. So, we can assume that allowances appear to be producing the desired results, in terms of environmental protection. For policy, empirical evidence found that there is already a pass-through of externalities caused by GHG costs into the cost structure of economic agents, influencing namely electricity prices. The EU ETS seems, though, to fulfil its goal of reducing GHG emitted. Nevertheless, allowing short-selling and banking between successive Kyoto periods could increase liquidity and improve market efficiency. Finally, the role of fuels (coal, gas and oil), weather and market constraints, was found to be of particular interest relating CO2 contracts to energy consumption intensity, namely to electricity spot and futures markets. Moreover, the recently created liberalized electricity market throughout Europe encouraged the development of environmental protection policies since newly carbon financial contracts emerged in this context.

"Different unit price of packaging sizes matter for food waste : A case study how companies' price strategies of different packaging sizes of dairy products affect the emissions of CO2 equivalents." Abstract:
One third of all food that is produced ends up as waste, making it an important for society. Companies in food sector offer various packaging sizes to consumers to meet different household needs, where smaller packaging sizes often have a higher unit price than larger packaging sizes. In Sweden, 70% of households consist of 1-2 person households, which indicate a need for smaller packaging sizes. Price is a determining factor in the choice of products, which may mean that consumers choose packaging size by price and not after their need.  This master thesis has focused on dairy products because it is one of the product groups where wastage is highest. Furthermore, dairy products are important in the Swedes diet, have high emission of CO2-equivalents and can be bought in different packaging sizes.  The purpose of this master thesis was to investigate how companies’ price strategy influence product price of small versus large packaging and also to investigate the emission of CO2-equivalents of different packaging sizes. This was done in order to get a better understanding of the subject and to find a recommendation for companies to help households to reduce food waste. A case study was used as research strategy, and through a mixed-method with calculations, interview, price gathering and collection of secondary data a result has been presented.  The results indicate that more food can be wasted from an economical perspective than from the perspective with emission of CO2-equivalents, which is true for all investigated products. It results in lower emission of CO2-equivalents if the customers purchase smaller packaging instead of waste food. However, there will be difficult to reduce the amount of household food waste if it continues to be economically motivated to waste food instead of purchase smaller packaging. A cost based pricing of food products is not useful if the consumers shall reduce their food waste, since price is an important factor when choosing products. One way to reduce the household food waste is to shift towards more value-based strategies when pricing products. This might reduce the unit price gap between different packaging sizes.

Abstract:
The COX-2 isozyme is overexpressed in several kinds of cancer, including colorectal, lung, breast, and oesophageal cancer. High levels of COX-2 are usually associated with poor prognosis and advanced disease. Furthermore, studies have suggested that co-administering COX-2 inhibitors along with classic chemotherapy can improve disease outcome. Therefore, COX-2 is an attractive PET imaging biomarker for patient stratification. A first library of potential COX-2 inhibitors with a 5,5-diphenyl hydantoin core was synthesised and screened for its affinity for COX isozymes. This structure was chosen for its novelty, its potential to improve the biodistribution of the tracer, due its lipophilicity, and its possible in vivo metabolic stability. However, these compounds showed no affinity for COX-2, therefore its further development into PET probes was no longer pursued. A second library with a 1,5-diphenyl imidazole structure was designed and synthesised, based on previous literature data with optimistic IC50 values for COX inhibition. A candidate for fluorine-18 radiolabelling was identified, therefore nitro and trimethyl ammonium triflate precursors were synthesised. A variety of conditions were tested for the fluorine-18 radiolabelling reactions, which identified the trimethyl ammonium precursor as a better choice. Further experiments, however, are needed in order to fully optimise the conditions of the reaction and to calculate the specific activity. In conclusion, two libraries of potential COX-2 inhibitors were designed, synthesised and tested in order to develop a PET imaging probe. A possible compound was identified, precursors were synthesised and radiolabelled with fluorine-18 in a variety of conditions, though further tests are necessary.

Abstract: Bipolar disorder, a distinct, lifelong mental illness that affects million people in the world, is associated with a high incidence of comorbidity, and ends with completed suicide in 10% to 15% of diagnosed individuais. Lithium salt (Lj+) is a mood-stabilizing drug that is frequently used for treatment and prophylaxis of this iIIness. Because several controlled studies have shown that lithium discontinuation was associated with recurrence during pregnancy or puerperium, some pacients are oriented to continue lithium therapy. The purpose of our study is to investigate the impact of lithium chloride neonatal exhibition in emotionality/exploratory and memory/learning behavior at adult age. Female Wistar rats were treated with either LiCI 10 mM or NaCI 10 mM ad libitum as the only source of fluid during the prenatal and lactating periods. Following birth, pups were cross-fostered to form four experimental groups (N = 10 litters each): a) 5al- saline during prenatal and lactating periods; b) LiPós - LiCI during lactating period only; c) LiPré - LiCI during prenatal period only; d) Li - LiCI during prenatal and lactating periods. The results found learning percentage difference (Li = 24,4% x Sal = 70,1%; ANOVA e Student-Newman-Keuls, **p=0,0075). These data suggests that prenatal and postnatallithium treatment damages attention/acquisition performances, induced in rats at adult age

Studying the adsorption and reaction kinetics of surface-bound chemical species, on different metal catalysts or electrodes, is of paramount importance in the development of inhomogeneous catalytic methodology. Our study of the oxidation of CO on platinum was accomplished by designing a thin layer flow cell in an external reflection configuration. A charge-injection circuit was successfully implemented which decreased the time required to charge the double layer in the electrochemical cell. We were able to obtain a signal via Stark shift spectrum, of the adsorbed CO, using the thin layer cell configuration. Additionally, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used as a diagnostic tool to assess the effect of electrode geometry, on the voltage response, in the thin layer cell. The coupling of visible light-driven photoexciation with transition metal catalytic plat- forms is emerging as a synthetic strategy to achieve unique reactivity that has previously been inaccessible. One such example is the iridium/nickel-dipyridyl system discovered recently. Characterizing the interactions between the iridium and nickel catalysts, under reaction conditions, is important to develop a better understanding of the system. In order to apply infrared spectroscopic measurement techniques, in-situ, we made modifications to the synthetic scheme by changing the solvent and by utilizing different iridium catalysts for the synthesis of the desired methyl 4-(benzoyloxy)benzoate product. Using our trans- mission infrared setup we effectively demonstrated in-situ product detection of the aryl- ester coupled product. Additionally, after constructing a transient infrared pump-probe setup, we collected preliminary results of the triplet state lifetime of the iridium dye. The surface morphology of copper has been shown to affect the electrochemical reduction of CO2. Using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopies, the reversible formation of nanoscale metal clusters on a copper electrode was revealed at sufficiently cathodic potentials where we observed the appearance of a new band at 2080 cm-1 corresponding to C≡O adsorbed to undercoordinated copper defect sites. The formation of new undercoordinated sites additionally resulted in the surface enhancement of the Raman scattering which amplified the intensity of the other spectral bands

Abstract:
Lighting estimation is essential for mixed reality applications that strive to integrate virtual elements into real scenes in a seamlessly fashion without sacrificing realism. A widely used method for lighting estimation is known as Image Based Lighting (IBL), which utilizes light probes to determine incident light intensity within a scene. However, IBL estimates light incidence only for a given time and position. In this dissertation, we assess a lighting model based on a time series of light probe images, obtained sparsely, to render scenes at arbitrary times. New scenes containing virtual objects can then be rendered by using artificial light probe images, which are generated from the original light samples. Different types of interpolation and approximation functions were evaluated for modeling lighting behavior. The resulting images were assessed for the impact in rendering quality for mixed reality applications by volunteers. In addition to the methodology, we also developed a software plugin to simplify the use of temporally variable IBL, allowing realistic rendering of virtual objects for arbitrary times

Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract Session types provide a principled programming discipline for structured interactions. They represent a wide spectrum of type-systems for concurrency. Their type safety is thus extremely important. EMTST is a tool to aid in representing and validating theorems about session types in the Coq proof assistant. On paper, these proofs are often tricky, and error prone. In proof assistants, they are typically long and difficult to prove. In this work, we propose a library that helps validate the theory of session types calculi in proof assistants. As a case study, we study two of the most used binary session types systems: we show the impossibility of representing the first system in $$\alpha $$-equivalent representations, and we prove type preservation for the revisited system. We develop our tool in the Coq proof assistant, using locally nameless for binders and small scale reflection to simplify the handling of linear typing environments.

Abstract:
AbstractAt present, the European rule of law enforcement framework under Article 7 TEU (RLF) is vulnerable to unguaranteed, discretionary influences of the Member States. This vulnerability arises from its procedural format which requires high thresholds in decision-making with the effect that this procedure is prone to be terminated by the EU Member States likely to be scrutinized under it, if only they collude. Yet, the Framework may prove effective to correct serious breaches against human rights (in the context of ineffective rule of law standards). The European Commission is bound to pursue the RLF effectiveness for the sake of achieving relative uniformity of application of EU law (at large), and making the European Union a credible actor and co-creator of international legal order. The RLF is an important tool for the maintenance of relative stability of human rights and the rule of law in the EU despite natural divergence propensity resulting from the procedural autonomy of the EU Member States. By achieving this stability, the EU achieves significant political weight in international dialogue concerning human rights and the rule of law and preserves a high level of its global credibility in this context. Thus, RLF increases the EU’s effectiveness in promoting the European model of their identification and enforcement.

Abstract:
Abstract The 2 °C target of the Paris Agreement has stimulated the implementation of carbon reducing policies such as carbon taxes and emission trading schemes, which explicitly applies a price on carbon emitting fuels. However, OECD (2016) reports that the effective carbon rate must be at least 30 Euros per ton of CO2. The effective carbon rate includes the implicit carbon price, e.g. energy taxes, along with the explicit carbon price. Previous studies have focused on the effects of explicit carbon prices. In this chapter, we will focus on the effective carbon rate and estimate the effects of carbon policies that increase the effective carbon rate to the 30 Euro threshold. We find that the short-term effect of a carbon tax that raises the effective carbon rate for all industries above 30 Euros will not only effect energy intensive industries, but also downstream industries that already have high effective carbon rates. Furthermore, we find that the carbon tax implemented in 2012 increase the average effective carbon rate, but increases the difference between taxed emitters and non-taxed emitters. Thus, tax exemption for energy intensive industries sacrifices economic efficiency.

Abstract:
This paper deals with the subject of optimisation of turboprop aircraft operations to decrease their environmental footprint. This aircraft category is not at the forefront of optimisation efforts of operators as it supplies lower volumes of traffic and is equipped with the most fuel-efficient technology for missions served on regional markets. The theoretical part of this paper details turboprop aircraft contributions to global CO2 emissions and analyses aspects behind their efficient performance. Further, it provides a thorough assessment of the operational practices that can significantly reduce the environmental footprint of turboprop aircraft operations. For better illustration, some are exemplified in simple case studies. The practical part of this work aimed to quantify the effects of operational optimisation on turboprop aircraft. Based on the theoretical analysis, we established five operational adjustments whose effects can be determined using performance calculations. These calculations have been carried out using ATR 72-600 aircraft as a reference for a specified average turboprop flight. It was found that through operational adjustments, the fuel consumption on an average ATR 72-600 flight can be decreased on the order of 10%. The energy intensity of operations defined in CO2 per revenue passenger kilometre could be nearly halved compared to actual values of the ATR 72-600 fleet.

Abstract:
We study the interdependence of FX and Treasury Bonds (TES) markets in Colombia. To do this, we estimate a heteroskedasticity identified VAR model on the returns of the COP/USD exchange rate (TRM) and bond prices, as well as event-analysis models for return volatilities, number of quotes, quote volume, and bid/ask spreads. The data under analysis consists of 5-minute intraday bid/ask US dollar prices and bond quotes, for an assortment of bond species. For these species we also have the number of bid/ask quotes as well as their volume. We found, also, that the exchange rate conveys information to the TES market, but the opposite does not completely hold: A one percent COP depreciation leads to a persistent reduction of TES prices between 0.05% and 0.22%. However, a 1% TES price increase has a very small effect and not entirely significant on the exchange rate, i.e. a COP appreciation between 0.001% and 0.009%. Furthermore, TRM return volatility increases do not affect bond return volatility but its liquidity, i.e. the bid/ask quote number and volume. These results are coherent with the fact that the FX market more efficiently reflects the effect of shocks than the TES market, which may be due to its low liquidity and concentration on a specific habitat. These results have implications for the design of financial stability policies as well as for private portfolio design, rebalancing and hedging.

Abstract:
The BeefLedger Export Smart Contracts project is a collaborative research study between BeefLedger Ltd and QUT co-funded by the Food Agility CRC. This project exists to deliver economic value to those involved in the production, export and consumption of Australian beef to China through: (1) reduced information asymmetry; (2) streamlined compliance processes, and; (3) developing and accessing new data-driven value drivers, through the deployment of decentralised ledger technologies and associated governance systems. This report presents early insights from a survey deployed to Chinese consumers in Nov/Dec 2019 exploring attitudes and preferences about blockchain-credentialed beef exports to China. Our results show that most local and foreign consumers were willing to pay more than the reference price for a BeefLedger branded Australian cut and packed Sirloin steak at the same weight. Although considered superior over Chinese processed Australian beef products, the Chinese market were sceptical that the beef they buy was really from Australia, expressing low trust in Australian label and traceability information. Despite lower trust, most survey respondents were willing to pay more for traceability supported Australian beef, potentially because including this information provided an additional sense of safety. Therefore, traceability information should be provided to consumers, as it can add a competitive advantage over products without traceability.

Abstract:
Climate mitigation scenarios are an essential tool for analyzing the macroeconomic and financial implications of climate change (physical risk), and how the transition to a low-carbon economy could unfold (transition risk). The Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) has co-developed a set of climate mitigation scenarios for climate financial risk assessment. Despite the important role that these scenarios play in climate stress tests, the understanding of their main characteristics and limitations is still poor. In this paper, we contribute to filling this gap by focusing on the following issues: comparison of the process-based Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) used by the NGFS with alternative models; the role of Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) and Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) in shaping the scenario narratives, and their shortcomings; the interpretation and sensitivities of carbon price pathways; and, comparison with other climate mitigation scenarios. We then draw lessons on how to increase the relevance of the NGFS scenarios. These include updating the SSP narratives; considering the potential trade-offs between different types of climate policies; assessing acute physical risks and their compounding; integrating physical risks within transition scenarios; and, taking into account the role of the financial sector and investors’ expectations.
