Résumé La post-modernité peut être vue comme l'implosion catastrophique de la culture contemporaine dans une série de scènes qui reflètent l'excès, le surplus, la désaccumulation et la panique. Comme une séismographie de cette condition, le présent essai regroupe trois " thèses " reliées au phénomène sportif. L'art post-moderne, le corps " plastique " et l'image mass-médiatique contemporaine sont présentés comme les résultats de véritables implosions : (a) l'art est fragmenté, éclaté, et son hyper-marchandisation est assurée par l'appropriation et la reproduction des mosaïques de la télévision et des divers signes, symboles et marchandises du capitalisme de consommation, y compris le sport ; (b) le corps sportif est morcelé, entraîné, façonné puis subordonné à l'appareil post-moderne du pouvoir au plan épistémolo-gique, idéologique, technologique et sémiologique ; et (c) le sport médiatisé contribue à la culture " excrémentale " (Kroker & Cook, 1986) en reproduisant le populisme esthétique, la fragmentation, le manque de profondeur et l'effacement de l'histoire caractéristiques de la culture post-moderne.

Penseur de la naissance de la conscience (ou « aperception ») de soi à partir du déploiement de l’effort moteur du corps, Maine de Biran (1766-1824) analyse tout au long de son oeuvre la nature complexe et polémique des rapports entre pensée et affectivité. De nature réflexive car faisant retour sur les affections, sensations, impressions et sentiments procurés par la vie du corps, qui en obscurcissent le discernement, la première, détermination intérieure du moi, nous procure les idées que nous pouvons acquérir de nous-mêmes et de nos actes intellectuels, au fondement de notre personnalité. Or, l’affirmation de celle-ci, résultat de l’effort de stylisation en lequel consiste l’activité de la pensée, peut se trouver contrariée par des déterminants de nature endogène (les effets de l’habitude, le défaut de concentration, l’absence de but intellectuel, etc.) ou exogènes (en l’occurrence, les bouleversements d’ordre social et politique occasionnés par la Révolution française). Aussi, à côté de ses mémoires définissant sur le plan théorique les conditions de la constitution ou de la diminution du sentiment du moi, le journal intime de Biran répond à la nécessité de retrouver l’unité d’un moi fragmenté dans une société ayant perdu l’ensemble de ses hiérarchies et repères anciens. Selon Biran, la construction d’une mémoire du travail de la pensée, sans cesse confronté aux fluctuations du quotidien et aux aléas de la vie du corps, constitue le garant de cette unité. Cela sur la base d’une nette distinction entre les objets et intentions propres à la physiologie et à la psychologie, au coeur du projet d’élaboration d’une Science de l’Homme.

AbstractSpermatogenesis in two species of free-living marine nematodes from the family Chromadoridae (Panduripharynx pacifica and Euchromadora robusta) was studied electron-microscopically. The spermatogonia of both species are undifferentiated polygonal cells with a large nucleus surrounded by a small amount of cytoplasm. In P. pacifica the cytoplasm of spermatocytes contains many Golgi bodies, cisternae of RER, ribosomes, mitochondria and dense spherical bodies. Filamentous material is accumulated in spermatids, which contain only mitochondria and a fragmented (or lobed) nucleus devoid of the nuclear envelope. The immature sperm resembles the late spermatid: its central filamentous area is surrounded by chromatine particles and occasional mitochondria. The immature sperm plasma membrane forms deep infoldings. Mature spermatozoa from the uterus consist of a small main cell body (MCB) bearing a prominent pseudopod filled with cytoskeleton filaments. The MCB contains a nucleus and mitochondria. Spermatogenesis in E. robusta (studied only in testes) resembles that described for P. pacifica, but spermatocytes of E. robusta show much lower metabolic activity and, as a result, a smaller mass of filamentous material is stored in the spermatids and immature sperm. The spermatozoa of P. pacifica and the immature sperm of E. robusta have the main ultrastructural features characteristic for nematodes (amoeboid nature, absence of axoneme, acrosome and nuclear envelope). No aberrant organelles special for many nematode sperm (membranous organelles, paracrystalline fibrous bodies and their complexes) were found during sperm development of the chromadorids studied. In this respect their spermatogenesis differs significantly from that in secernents and monhysterids.La spermatogenèse a été étudiée en microscopie électronique à transmission chez deux espèces de nématodes libres marins (Panduripharynx pacifica et Euchromadora robusta) de la famille des Chromadoridae. Les spermatogonies, chez les deux espèces, sont des cellules indifférenciées avec un grand noyau entouré d'une petite quantité de cytoplasme. Chez P. pacifica, le cytoplasme des spermatocytes contient de nombreux corps de Golgi, des cisternae du RER, des ribosomes, des mitochondries et des corps sphériques denses. Le matériel filamenteux est accumulé dans les spermatides qui contiennent seulement des mitochondries et un noyau fragmenté (ou lobé) dépourvu d'enveloppe nucléaire. Les spermatozoïdes de P. pacifica et le sperme immature d' E. robusta ont les mêmes caractéristiques ultrastructurales pour des nématodes (nature amiboïde, absence d'axonème, d'acrosome et d'enveloppe nucléaire) mais aucune des organelles aberrantes particuliéres à de nombreux spermes de nématodes (organelles membraneuses, corps fibreux paracrystallins et leurs complexes) n'ont été identifiées pendant le développement du sperme chez les Chromadorides étudiés. Par cet aspect, leur spermatogenèse diffère significativement de celle des Secernentes et des Monhysterides.

Este trabajo analiza dos fragmentos de inscripciones romanas procedentes de la zona de Lara de los Infantes (Burgos). El primero de ellos es un fragmento anepigráfico con representación de una figura humana femenina. El segundo corresponde a un fragmento de estela romana en el que se intuye una denominación mediante doble idiónimo. En definitiva, se trata de dos nuevos testimonios epigráficos a añadir al profuso corpus de una zona rica en hallazgos epigráficos pero pobre en intervenciones arqueológicas que los contextualicen.This work analyzes two fragments of roman inscriptions from the area of Lara de los Infantes (Burgos). The first one is an anepigraphic fragment with a representation of a female human figure. The second fragment come from a roman stele in which a denomination by double idionym could be deduced. Ultimately, these are two new epigraphic testimonies to be added to the extense corpus of a very rich area in epigraphic findings but poor in archaeological works which contextualize them.

Films and series are usually consumed in leisure moments, but they can be included in the English as a foreign language classroom as they offer real-life language in context, which can help develop learners’ communicative competence. This paper examines how audiovisual materials can promote English acquisition in secondary education and proposes a corpus of films and series for this purpose. Two surveys will be presented, one for compiling fragments, and the other regarding students’ viewing habits. The fragment selection process will be explained, and some illustrations of the fragments’ exploitation will be described. This medium’s language learning benefits will be discussed, and it will be argued that using this corpus can have a positive influence on students’ communicative competence development.

Traumatismos orbitários podem estar associados à presença de corpos estranhos, cuja retenção leva a prejuízos, como perda da visão ou abscesso cerebral. Apresentamos o caso de um homem de 21 anos, que evoluiu com ptose palpebral, limitação dos movimentos oculares e reação inflamatória no olho direito, após colisão com um galho de árvore. A TC de órbitas evidenciou uma área de densidade aumentada no cone orbitário direito. Após a retirada neurocirúrgica do corpo estranho, um fragmento de madeira medindo 2,0x0,3 cm, o paciente evoluiu bem, sem déficit visual, com regressão da ptose e resolução do processo inflamatório. A TC de controle pós-operatório não identificou fragmentos do corpo estranho. O caso chama a atenção pelo fato de o fragmento de madeira ter sido visualizado no estudo tomográfico com densidade elevada (136 UH) 2 meses após o acidente e pela aplicação da craniotomia supra-orbitária para a sua retirada.

An increasing number of scrapie cases with atypical characteristics, designated Nor98, have recently been recognized. Here, the proteinase K (PK)-resistant prion protein (PrP) fragments from two Swedish cases of Nor98 atypical scrapie have been characterized. The prominent, fast-migrating band in the distinct Nor98 Western immunoblot electrophoretic profile was determined to be of 7 kDa in size and was accordingly designated Nor98-PrP7. The antigenic composition of Nor98-PrP7, as assayed by a panel of anti-PrP antibodies, revealed that this fragment comprised a mid-region of PrP from around aa 85 to 148. N- and C-terminally truncated fragments spanning the mid-region of PrP have only been observed in the genetic prion disorder Gerstmann–Sträussler–Scheinker disease. It is shown here that the long-term PK resistance of Nor98-PrP7 is reduced compared with that of PrPres in classical scrapie. Enzymic deglycosylation did not change the distinct electrophoretic profile of Nor98-PrP7. A previously unidentified, PK-resistant, C-terminal PrP fragment of around 24 kDa was detected and its PK resistance was investigated. After deglycosylation, this fragment migrated as a 14 kDa polypeptide and was designated PrP-CTF14. Antigenic determination and the size of 14 kDa suggested a fragment spanning approximately aa 120–233. The existence of two PK-resistant PrP fragments, Nor98-PrP7 and PrP-CTF14, that share an overlapping region suggests that at least two distinct PrP conformers with different PK-resistant cores are present in brain extracts from Nor98-affected sheep. The structural gene of PrP in three Nor98-affected sheep was analysed, but no mutations were found that could be correlated to the aberrant PK-resistant profile observed.

The paper discusses the differences between to est’ in the middle and at the beginning of sentences: the ability to express certain relationships between text fragments, syntactic conditions of the use, the conditions under which the fragment introduced by to est’ cannot be formed as part of the preceding sentence and follow after a comma.

AbstractFire-history reconstructions inferred from sedimentary charcoal records are based on measuring sieved charcoal fragment area, estimating fragment volume, or counting fragments. Similar fire histories are reconstructed from these three approaches for boreal lake sediment cores, using locally defined thresholds. Here, we test the same approach for a montane Mediterranean lake in which taphonomical processes might differ from boreal lakes through fragmentation of charcoal particles. The Mediterranean charcoal series are characterized by highly variable charcoal accumulation rates. Results there indicate that the three proxies do not provide comparable fire histories. The differences are attributable to charcoal fragmentation. This could be linked to fire type (crown or surface fires) or taphonomical processes, including charcoal transportation in the catchment area or in the sediment. The lack of correlation between the concentration of charcoal and of mineral matter suggests that fragmentation is not linked to erosion. Reconstructions based on charcoal area are more robust and stable than those based on fragment counts. Area-based reconstructions should therefore be used instead of the particle-counting method when fragmentation may influence the fragment abundance.

The article is devoted to the description of the idiomatic potential of Russian colloquial speech, revealed on a voluminous corpus material. The observations and conclusions are based on the analysis of the material of two oral corps: Russian everyday speech (“One speech day”, mainly dialogues and polylogies of native speakers) and Russian monologue speech (“Balanced annotated text collection”). Both corps were created at St. Petersburg State University and allow multilevel analysis of both types of oral speech. In a broad sense, all the units that refer to idioms meet the criteria of stability, reproducibility, and also the integrity of the value of a unit, which cannot be reduced to the sum of the values of its components. As the analysis of the corpus material has shown, our speech is rich in such idioms: the maximum number of idioms per fragment of the record is 1.1% (the average share is 0.2–0.3%). For a minute of communication, the speaker (along with his interlocutors) is able to use up to 2 idioms. The article presents the results of the analysis of everyday Russian speech. The main array of idiomatics is not only the units recorded in dictionaries, but also colloquial neoplasms and everything that can be called the idiomatic potential of colloquial speech. A certain systematization of this potential is proposed in the article: (1) modifications (s polotencem napereves); (2) contamination (ni v koej zhizni); (3) occasional formations (golovu zakhlaml’at’ negativami); (4) generalized statements understandable to native speakers, but requiring comments in a foreign-language audience (kak razd l’ablondinok); (5) precedent texts, often modified (ikh jest ’u men’a); (6) speech formulas, or grammatical constructions-collocations (Pravda chto li?! pon’al net?); (7) prepositional-case combinations (forms-idioms) (bez nikakix). The criterion of idiomaticity in most cases can be the possibility of replacing a speech fragment with a unit-identifier.

AbstractWe present the first results from a project to model the prestellar cores in Ophiuchus, using initial conditions constrained as closely as possible by observation. The prestellar cores in Ophiuchus appear to be evolving in isolation — in the sense that the timescale on which an individual prestellar core collapses and fragments is estimated to be much shorter than the timescale on which it is likely to interact dynamically with another core. Therefore it is realistic to simulate individual cores separately, and this in turn makes it feasible (a) to perform multiple realisations of the evolution of each core (to allow for uncertainties in the initial conditions which persist, even for the most comprehensively observed cores), and (b) to do so at high resolution (so that even the smallest protostars are well resolved). The aims of this project are (i) to address how best to convert the observations into initial conditions; (ii) to explore, by means of numerical simulations, how the observed cores are likely to evolve in the future; (iii) to predict the properties of the protostars that they will form (mass function, multiplicity statistics, etc.); and (iv) to compare these properties with the properties of the observed pre-Main Sequence stars in Ophiuchus. We find that if the observed non-thermal velocities in the Ophiuchus prestellar cores are attributed to purely solenoidal turbulence, they do not fragment; they all collapse to form single protostars. If the non-thermal velocities are attributed to a mixture of solenoidal and compressive turbulence, multiple systems form readily. The turbulence first generates a network of filaments, and material then tends to flow along the filaments, at first into a primary protostar, and then onto a compact accretion disc around this protostar; secondary protostars condense out of the material flowing into the disc along the filaments. If the turbulence is purely solenoidal, but part of the non-thermal velocity dispersion is attributed to solid-body rotation, then again multiple systems form readily, but the pattern of fragmentation is quite different. A primary protostar forms near the centre of the core, and then an extended accretion disc forms around the primary protostar, and eventually becomes so massive that it fragments to produce low-mass secondaries; these frequently end up in hierarchical multiple systems.

Context. There is growing evidence that massive stars grow by disk accretion in a similar way to their low-mass counterparts. Early in evolution, these disks can achieve masses that are comparable to the current stellar mass, and therefore the forming disks are highly susceptible to gravitational fragmentation. Aims. We investigate the formation and early evolution of an accretion disk around a forming massive protostar, focussing on its fragmentation physics. To this end, we follow the collapse of a molecular cloud of gas and dust, the formation of a massive protostar, the formation of its circumstellar disk, and the formation and evolution of the disk fragments. Methods. We used a grid-based, self-gravity radiation hydrodynamics code including a sub-grid module for stellar evolution and dust evolution. We purposely do not use a sub-grid module for fragmentation such as sink particles to allow for all paths of fragment formation and destruction, but instead we keep the spatial grid resolution high enough to properly resolve the physical length scales of the problem, namely the pressure scale height and Jeans length of the disk. Simulations are performed on a grid in spherical coordinates with a logarithmic spacing of the grid cells in the radial direction and a cosine distribution of the grid cells in the polar direction, focusing the spatial resolution on the disk midplane. As a consequence, roughly 25% of the total number of grid cells, corresponding to ~26 million grid cells, are used to model the disk physics. These constitute the highest resolution simulations performed up to now on disk fragmentation around a forming massive star with the physics considered here. For a better understanding of the effects of spatial resolution and to compare our high-resolution results with previous lower resolution studies in the literature, we perform the same simulation at five different resolutions, each run differing in resolution from its predecessor by a factor of two. Results. The cloud collapses and a massive (proto)star is formed in its center surrounded by a fragmenting Keplerian-like accretion disk with spiral arms. The fragments have masses of ~1 M⊙, and their continuous interactions with the disk, spiral arms, and other fragments result in eccentric orbits. Fragments form hydrostatic cores surrounded by secondary disks with spiral arms that also produce new fragments. We identified several mechanisms of fragment formation, interaction, and destruction. Central temperatures of the fragments can reach the hydrogen dissociation limit, form second Larson cores, and evolve into companion stars. Based on this, we study the multiplicity predicted by the simulations and find approximately six companions at different distances from the primary: from possible spectroscopic multiples, to companions at distances between 1000 and 2000 au.

Reconstruímos danças populares de Goiás quase que “esquecidas”, presentes apenas na memória de antigos moradores da região de Santa Cruz, cidade do Estado de Goiás. Temos como foco a perspectiva da história oral, priorizando a utilização de fontes orais, bem como, o registro de imagens. A inter-relação com a comunidade manifesta-se como condição fundamental para se apreender os modos, as histórias, os movimentos, as dramaturgias que marcam estes cotidianos e sua arte. Estas danças resistem como fragmentos, na memória de antigos moradores e sem registros oficiais. Continuam vivas na tradição da oralidade, mais particularmente, na memória do corpo, já que não são mais dançadas. Foram danças aprendidas em festas rurais locais, realizadas nos salões das fazendas da região. Entre os mutirões e pagodes, estas danças e cantos tinham intuito de agregar, coletivizar experiências, ancorando-se nas trocas e nas relações afetivas, sociais e culturais. Ao longo dos anos foram proibidas e/ou desprezadas pela modernidade capitalista. A metodologia desenvolvida envolveu o registro pela escrita, pela imagem e pela experiência vivida, formando uma rede de significações. Nossa intenção foi olhar para o corpo como um texto múltiplo e constituído de história, memória, cultura e arte. São tiranias e poesias inscritas no cotidiano e na dança. É a presença de uma multiplicidade de diálogos e uma dança apresentada como campo de conhecimento polissêmico. Nosso referencial teórico dialoga com diversos autores, entre eles Portelli, Olga Von Simson, Walter Benjamin, entre outros.

Photodissociation of trinuclear carbonyl cluster compounds of Fe, Ru and Os was studied by recording the mass spectra produced from laser ablation of the cluster compounds. Under the experimental conditions, dissociation of the cluster compounds is very extensive, but the dissociation pathway of the osmium cluster is different from those of the iron and ruthenium clusters. The iron and ruthenium clusters not only lost their carbonyl ligands, but their cluster cores were also fragmented. As the osmium cluster dissociated, it ejected three pairs of oxygen atoms, in sequence, before losing the carbonyl ligands, but the trinuclear osmium core did not fragment. This specific dissociation scheme of the osmium cluster reveals its special structural stability. Not only does it have stronger metal-metal bonds, but also a relatively stable coordination bond formed between osmium and carbonyl ligands. In addition, different distributions of positive and negative fragment ions were observed in the experiment. This difference is interpreted as the result of different stabilities of their electronic structures.

This paper presents an improved procedure for conducting diagnostics tests on corrosion in reinforced concrete structures. This method consists in drilling cylindrical concrete cores with fragments of secondary steel reinforcement (e.g., spacer bars, stirrups, binders) from the selected areas of the structure. Then, a three-electrode system is arranged on those cylindrical cores under laboratory conditions. The fragment of steel rebar with concrete is used as the working electrode. Using the counter electrode in the form of a patented conductive coating applied on the core side wall with painting techniques and the graphite reference electrode placed in an opening made in the core near the reinforcement was the novelty of this method. Following the procedure, the occurrence of minimum and maximum corrosion rates in concrete is simulated in the climate chamber after determining, on the basis of historical weather data, extreme combinations of temperature, and relative humidity for a given structure. This method was verified in the diagnostics testing of two large reinforced concrete tanks for fresh water, and cement storage silos.

Context. Little is known about how high-mass stars form. Around 30% of the young high-mass stars in the Galaxy are observed at the edges of ionized (H II) regions. Therefore these are places of choice to study the earliest stages of high-mass star formation, especially toward the most massive condensations. High spatial resolution observations in the millimeter range might reveal how these stars form and how they assemble their mass. Aims. We want to study the fragmentation process down to the 0.01 pc scale in the most massive condensation (1700 M⊙) observed at the southwestern edge of the H ii region RCW 120 where the most massive Herschel cores (~124 M⊙ in average) could form high-mass stars. Methods. Using ALMA 3 mm continuum observations toward the densest and most massive millimetric condensation (Condensation 1) of RCW 120, we used the getimages and getsources algorithms to extract the sources detected with ALMA and obtained their physical parameters. The fragmentation of the Herschel cores is discussed through their Jeans mass to understand the properties of these future stars. Results. We extracted 18 fragments from the ALMA continuum observation at 3 mm toward eight cores detected with Herschel, whose mass and deconvolved size range from 2 M⊙ to 32 M⊙ and from 1.6 mpc to 28.8 mpc, respectively. The low degree of fragmen- tation observed regarding thermal Jeans fragmentation suggests that the observed fragmentation is inconsistent with ideal gravitational fragmentation and other ingredients such as turbulence or magnetic fields should be added to explain this inconsistency. Finally, the range of the mass of the fragments indicates that the densest condensation of RCW 120 is a favorable place for the formation of high-mass stars with the presence of a probable UCH ii region associated with the 27 M⊙ Fragment 1 of Core 2.

Esse processo criativo integrou as artes do teatro, da dança e as artes visuais, e se desdobrou na criação de uma caminhada-performance que se deu pelo campus da Universidade de Brasília. Dentre os temas encon- trados nos fragmentos, um tema que perpassa a obra de Heráclito é o do pen- sador caminhando pela cidade, narrando os eventos performativos e os pa- drões de comportamento que observa. Por isso, selecionei três fragmentos relativos aos temas dos caminhos e das caminhadas, visando a criação de uma performance que aborda a percepção e a subversão dos padrões de ação dos corpos e de relação com os espaços urbanos da cidade contemporânea.

File fragment classification is an essential problem in digital forensics. Although several attempts had been made to solve this challenging problem, a general solution has not been found. In this work, we propose a hierarchical machine-learning-based approach with optimized support vector machines (SVM) as the base classifiers for file fragment classification. This approach consists of more general classifiers at the top level and more specialized fine-grain classifiers at the lower levels of the hierarchy. We also propose a primitive taxonomy for file types that can be used to perform hierarchical classification. We evaluate our model with a dataset of 14 file types, with 1000 fragments measuring 512 bytes from each file type derived from a subset of the publicly available Digital Corpora, the govdocs1 corpus. Our experiment shows comparable results to the present literature, with an average accuracy of 67.78% and an F1-measure of 65% using 10-fold cross-validation. We then improve on the hierarchy and find better results, with an increase in the F1-measure of 1%. Finally, we make our assessment and observations, then conclude the paper by discussing the scope of future research.

The aim of the paper is to provide an overview of little known Gǝʿǝz texts ascribed to Philo, namely: fragments of a Paschal Homily, a bulky but incomplete commentary on the Pauline Corpus and a fragment of Philo of Carpasia’s commentary on the Canticle of Canticles. While concentrating mainly on the latter, the present article wants to draw attention to linguistic characteristics common to the trilogy which is associated with the name Philo. The Gǝʿǝz version of Philo of Carpasia’s Commentary is a rare example of a strictly paratactic translation which is keen to reproduce literally the Greek text from which it depended. The outcome is a hardly understandable Gǝʿǝz text which is however interesting as a unique witness of an ancient translation technique. The Philonian trilogy is among other aspects, a mine of unknown or little attested Gǝʿǝz terms.

We investigated diversity of ectomycorrhizas associated with Quercus garryana Dougl. ex Hook. (Oregon white oak, or Garry oak) at Whetstone Savanna Preserve in southern Oregon. Based on morphotyping and DNA restriction fragments, we described 39 ectomycorrhizas. The most common five morphotypes were found in 5% or more of 160 soil cores. Cenococcum geophilum, the most abundant morphotype, occurred in 75% of soil cores. Another common morphotype yielded a restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) pattern similar to that of Tuber species. Uncommon morphotypes were responsible for the majority of ectomycorrhizal diversity on Q. garryana. Morphotype diversity of seedlings was more similar to that of their parent tree than to seedlings under other trees. Internal transcribed spacer (ITS) RFLP patterns of ectomycorrhizas found beneath sporocarps did not match those of the sporocarps fruiting above ground. An understanding of the diversity of the ectomycorrhizal community on Q. garryana will enable us to compare ectomycorrhizas on other oak species and habitats; determine seasonality of ectomycorrhizal growth; evaluate treatments such as fire, grazing, invasion by exotic plants, and other anthropogenic disturbances; and aid restoration protocols.Key words: biocomplexity, biodiversity, ectomycorrhizas, hypogeous fungi, morphotypes, Peziza infossa, Tuber.

Dans une quête de connaissances qui a constamment repoussé les limites de l’investigation sur le corps humain, l’histoire de la médecine a été marquée par une succession d’agressions sur le corps et par la résistance de la population à ces agressions. Par le biais d’écrits d’historiens, de philosophes et de sociologues, cet article met en perspective certains fragments de l’histoire qui ont marqué l’évolution du regard biomédical sur le corps – du siècle des Lumières jusqu’à aujourd’hui – pour ensuite porter son attention au corps soigné au sein de notre société contemporaine. Loin des dérives religieuses et scientistes d’autrefois, ce corps apparaît encore une fois assujetti à une autorité médicale, qui se voit elle-même de plus en plus influencée par l’idéologie néolibérale. Dans cette conjoncture, les infirmières occupent une place importante dans la dénonciation des hostilités contemporaines sur le corps soigné et peuvent agir à titre d’activistes dans une téléologie transformationnelle visant à réaffirmer la conscience derrière le corps soigné et à lutter contre ces hostilités.

The aim of this study was to characterize the floristic composition, and ecological relationship and categories related to habitat of Orchidaceae family representatives in riparian forest in Semideciduous Seasonal Forest fragment in Araras, SP. By the demarcation of 20 plots of 20 X 10 m (400 m2) parallel to the local water body, it was sampled 10 genera and 12 species: Baptistonia cornigera, Campylocentrum grisebachii, Campylocentrum robustum, Capanemia micromera, Catasetum fimbriatum, Cattleya loddigesii, Oeceoclades maculata, Pleurothallis miniato-lineolata, Polystachya estrellensis, Sacoila lanceolata and Lophiaris pumila. The existing populations of orchids in the study area decreased due to anthropogenic disturbance, resulting in the current low diversity. High densities presented by some species, chiefly L. pumila, make it clear the processes of recolonization related to adaptative mechanisms and to the current conservation status of the fragment. ABSTRACT We study molecular emission in a massive condensation at the border of the H ii region RCW 120, paying particular attention to the Core 1 and 2 objects, the most massive fragments of the condensation found previously by ALMA. The latter fragment was previously suggested to host a high-mass analogue of Class 0 young stellar object. We present spectra of molecular emission in the 1 mm range made with the APEX telescope. We detect CH3OH and C34S lines in Cores 1 and 2. The CH3CN series and the SO2 lines are only found in Core 2. We estimate gas physical parameters using methanol lines and obtain gas temperature less than 100 K in both regions. Molecular hydrogen number density in Core 2 is in the range of 105−107 cm−3 and is more uncertain in Core 1. However, the detection of the CH3CN lines corresponding to highly excited transitions (Eu > 400 K) in Core 2 indicates that the region contains hot gas, while the abundances of CH3OH, CS, SO2, and CH3CN are quite low for a hot core stage. We propose that Core 2 is in the warm-up phase prior to the establishing of the hot gas chemistry. We suggest that Core 2 is in the beginning of the hot core stage. There are no detected CH3CN lines in Core 1; therefore, it might be on an even less evolved evolutionary stage.

Por meio de nossa face somos reconhecidos, chamados, julgados, nos atribuem um sexo, uma idade, uma cor de pele. Perder a face em práticas de racismo ou desfiguração é perder a existência, na medida em que perder a face é profanar o centro de si mesmo. Ao inverso, o amor ou o reconhecimento inventam uma face a outrem, que só poderá ser destruído por uma mudança no olhar que o construiu. A face é o lugar de encarnação da identidade.

We are using SPH to model the evolution of triaxial molecular cores to investigate the fragmentation of these cores and the possible production of multiple systems. Molecular cores appear to be triaxial in shape and this may have a significant effect on their evolution as they collapse to form filament-like structures which can then fragment into multiple 'protostars'.

Il ne s’agit plus de l’entendre comme un « simple » travail d’assemblage de plans, d’associations d’éléments épars, de collage de morceaux divers, de constitution d’un grand corps monstrueux, mais bien de l’étudier comme un processus permanent de gestion de passages, de modulations d’une image à l’autre, de transformations d’éléments inanimés, de transmutations de figures fixes, de métamorphoses de corps inertes. En ce sens, le projet du cinéma d’animation n’est pas autant celui, fantasmatique, du don de vie que celui, fantasmagorique, d’animation de la mort.

Apoiando-se em Roussilon, Winnicott, Ferenczi e em Berlinck, examina-se o lugar do analista, enfatizando que estes atos só se tornam uma forma de comunicação se o ambiente os recepciona e os reconhece como tal, dando sustância a eles em sua resposta.

Sediment from four cores of the north part of the continental upper slope, Bahia State, consist predominantly of siliciclastic mud in its bottom and carbonatic mud in the top of the majority of the studied cores. The sediment color varies from light olive gray to brownish black. The sediments are mainly composed of foraminifera, mollusk fragments, coralline algae debris, plant fragments and quartz grains. The following major foraminifera benthonic species were recorded in the studied cores: Cibicides pseudoungerianus, Bulimina marginata, Amphistegina lessonii, Cassidulina laevigata, Bolivina subaenariensis, Uvigerina peregrina. The following major foraminifera planctonic species are frequent in the cores: Globigerinoides ruber, Globigerina bulloides, Orbulina universa, Globigerinoides trilobus, G. elongatus, Globigerina quinqueloba, Globigerinoides ruber f. pyramidalis. The siliciclastic sediment (higher quartz percentage) in the core bottom, suggests that sedimentation occurred with strong continental influence, indicating proximity to the coast line. The benthonic foraminifera predominance in the bottom cores and the higher planctonic frequency toward the top cores is an indicative of the sea-level oscilation events during Quaternary time.

Neste ensaio, intentamos apresentar uma reflexão acerca da poética da “mistura”, (COCCIA, 2018), costurando a leitura de uma série de obras artísticas produzidas pela aquarelista Maria Esmênia, que foram postadas em sua página no Facebook durante o início da pandemia em 2020, relegando-nos ao distanciamento físico e levando-nos a uma proximidade virtual. Nosso objetivo é problematizar aqui uma leitura que pretende ser estética e política ao mesmo tempo, ao abordar as formas e cores da passagem do tempo pandêmico na vida e na obra dessa artista. Vemos na série de pinturas/colagens/fotomontagens de laranjas realizadas por Maria Esmênia, e nas cores que se transformam (CRUZ, 2001), um detalhe (RANCIÈRE, 2009), um biografema (BARTHES, 2003), um instante-já (LISPECTOR, 1973), que contam a história. Assim procedendo, procuramos fazer uma leitura de um fragmento de obra de uma artista com sua singularidade, mas também remetendo-nos a um coletivo, aos elos dessa poética com um comportamento social comum a outros artistas, cada um em seu momento de vida e singularidade, todos compartilhando em seus corpos as marcas do processo do tempo (GOLDEMBERG, 2013) que passa, misturando-se com a prática artística na vida cotidiana da cidade, num movimento estético urbano espalhado pelo mundo.

The article analyses the remaining fragments and testimonies of Heraclitean philosophy and their connection with Hippocratic medicine. It is claimed that both schools belong to the same philosophical-scientific paradigm of the elements. Therefore, theoretical insights of the school of Cos might well serve explaining complicated and often difficult to interpret Heraclitean thoughts. Moreover, it is plausible that parts of Corpus Hippocraticum were written under the influence of the Heraclitean philosophy and therefore its analysis and interpretative application allows us to partially reconstruct the fragmented Heraclitean ideas into the single unified system. The article uses comparative analysis of both thinking traditions in regard to psychological, ethical, physiological, cosmological, and medical ideas. Similarities in explaining human nature are revealed. It is shown that science (medicine) and philosophy in Antiquity use the same paradigmatic utterances to describe reality. Therefore, there are many mutual interconnecting principles between early philosophy and medicine.
