Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare instructional topics and teaching approaches included in selected class method books for jazz pedagogy through content analysis methodology. Frequency counts for the number of pages devoted to each defined instructional content category were compiled and percentages of pages allotted to each category were calculated. Analyses of supplementary media consisted of noting the duration in seconds that each excerpt devoted to illustrating concepts in each instructional content category. Results indicated that the largest amount of content was devoted to arrangements of tunes for group performance (34%), rhythm section pedagogy (13%), and suggested rehearsal techniques (10%). Of note, the categories of improvisation and aural training each comprised only 3% of the surveyed content. Pedagogical approaches to the emphasized instructional areas were identified and discussed within the context of prior research in jazz pedagogy.

Abstract:
The upper-class dominates various social spaces in society, including children’s stories. Children’s stories as a means of socializing values also participate in socializing upper-class habitus in the storyline. This study aims to describe the children’s habitus as narrated in short stories published in Bobo magazine. The method used in this study is the quantitative content analysis method and critical discourse analysis. This study’s object is about 174 short stories published in Bobo magazine from January 2019 to August 2020, of which 110 stories were taken randomly as samples. The results show that most of the children’s habitus narrated in the stories were upper-class children’s habitus, reaching out to 87 or 79.1% of all stories. Meanwhile, lower-class children’s habitus was found in 30.9% of all stories. The habitus of upper-class children featured in the story consisting of go on an excursion, luxury living, own electronic goods, own expensive good, wearing nightgowns, reading, and writing. On the other side, the habitus of lower-class children habitus featured in the story consisting of playing traditional games, living in poverty, and doing lower-class work. In conclusion, the upper-class children’s habitus appears more dominantly within short stories in Bobo magazine. This study’s results are expected as recommend to parties related to children’s stories publication to present more balanced stories.

Abstract:
This research project focuses on identifying and describing the interactional patterns and the speech acts that emerge and are maintainedthrough teacher-student interactions in a university-level EFL Pre-intermediate class. This work also analyzes how these patterns potentiallyinfluence the participants’ interactional behavior. This study then answers two questions: what interactional patterns emerge and how they arestructured in interactions between the teacher and the students in the EFL class? And, how can the utterances that compose the interactionalpatterns potentially influence both interactants’ interactional behavior in the EFL class? The description and analysis of the problem followethnomethodological conversation analysis. The findings show that there are two main interactional patterns in the EFL class observed for thisstudy: asking about content, and adding content. Both patterns present characteristic developments and speech acts that potentially influencethe teacher and students’ interactional behavior in this class. These findings serve as a reference and evidence for the interactional patterns thatemerge in EFL classroom interaction and the influence they have on the way both interactants use the target language in classroom interaction.

Abstract:
Background: During traffic accidents, professional staff provide care to the patient at the scene of the accident and then transport the victim to the hospital by ambulance. But sometimes this transition is carried out by relatives and laypeople. The purpose of this study was to explore the factors affecting people’s involvement and transmission of the victims of the traffic accident. Materials and Methods: This study was done with a qualitative content analysis method in 2018. The study participants were 16 people. In this study, a purposeful sampling method with maximum diversity was used. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data using guiding questions. To observe the research ethics, the researcher, after obtaining permission from the University Ethics Committee, conducted interviews (IR.USWR.REC.1395.399). Results: In total, 15 spinal cord injury victims and their relatives or laypeople and medical emergency technicians were interviewed. The class of wrong belief of delay was the main class in all interviews. Concepts such as past experiences, the pressure time, the lack of emergency time, cultural beliefs, and the tension explaining the wrong belief concept. Conclusion: Wrong belief of delay was a concept that was extracted from the present study. It is recommended that the scene of the accident be examined in-depth and how to create a spinal cord injury in the injured with a grounded theory approach.

Abstract:
In this article I analyse the discursive context of two classes of students bringing into discussion the concepts of educational knowledge and the organization of teaching-learning activities. Although there is much research that provides nuanced insights into how teachers and students are involved in the social construction of classroom discourses about knowledge, in Romanian literature the issue of classroom interactions has been approached from the perspective of teachers ‘ and students’ perceptions, while school knowledge has been studied only incidentally Therefore, I present a qualitative study, based on a critical discourse analysis that highlights how different versions of knowledge are socially constructed in the discursive space of the classroom, in order to point out ways in which the classroom and school can become spaces in which interactions no longer revolve around knowledge defined only by reference to disciplinary content. Bimonthly observations and audio-video recordings were made in the 2017-2018 school year during language and communication activities, in two classes, from two different schools. The results show that classroom interactions and participation structures differ depending on the purpose of the activities, and student participation is not only based on generally accepted communication rules, but varies depending on the implicit or explicit purpose of the activities.

Abstract:
Along with Hindi, English is given a status of an official language in India as per the Official Language Act, 1963.(Dept. of Official Language, India). English is studied in India as a Second Language and so English is the most sought after language in India. There are many university students who aspire to obtain a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in English. With a view to make the process of teaching English language interesting as well as enriching, some popular English songs were selected for the class of postgraduate students of English Language. It was realised, during and after the activity, that pop songs can be effectively used in an English Language class. Songs and music have a natural quality to induce interest and enthusiasm to the listeners/learners and so it was aimed to redirect the students’ attention to the linguistic varieties present in the songs. As the songs are easy to memorise, they effortlessly develop English vocabulary of the students. These songs are selected to learn the use of adjectives, figures of speech and idioms. The whole process of learning English Language through popular songs also helped students to improve their listening comprehension. The present paper is an attempt to study how content analysis of the selected pop songs is proved effective and impactful in the postgraduate class of English Language. The songs for the present study are selected from a popular album named Imagined Dragon.

Abstract:
This study examines the possible effects of a mailing list discussion on second/foreign language learning in the form of an explorative case study. Forty-six students in an elementary-level Japanese language class at a Canadian university participated. The study consists of three parts: interaction analysis, content analysis, and a student survey. The first two parts referenced the entire mailing list discussion archive. The number of the messages totaled 298. In order to analyze learner interaction, a map of interaction was designed and Levin, Kim and Riel’s (1990) Intermessage Reference Analysis (IRA) was applied. Content analysis was then carried out on the topics, context-type, and depth of learning process involved in each message. Lastly, a survey was distributed in order to discern participants’ perceptions towards the use of a mailing list for language learning. The results of the interaction and content analysis show how a mailing list discussion can provide a place to reflect on course content, enabling students to increase their linguistic knowledge through an exchange of ideas, thoughts, and opinions via student-centered interactions. The result of the participant survey shows that although the students’ participation in and perceptions towards the mailing discussion is not uniform, 35% of the students perceived the value of a mailing list discussion to be high. Through the examination of three different methods of analysis, the study concludes that there is a good potential for the use of mailing list discussions in second/foreign language learning. However, further research is necessary to determine which factors contribute to the successful use of this medium.

Abstract:
High protein shakes have become increasingly popular as nutritional supplements for adolescents, adults, and senior citizens. They are heavily advertised on television and in print media and are available in grocery and health food stores, at pharmacies, and from online distributors. In this project, students use colorimetric assays to determine the protein concentration of a particular product they bring to class and compare the results to the nutritional label. Students then use denaturing and nondenaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis to characterize the protein composition of their protein shakes. These experiments promote critical thinking about common scientific procedures and should be of interest to both secondary school and college students.

Abstract:
<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> High resolution satellite images started with IKONOS imagery. After the launch of the very high resolution IKONOS in the 1990s, a new generation of commercial Earth-imaging satellites have pioneered a new era of space imaging for observations of Earth. The IKONOS satellite image has an important place sampling range with 1<span class="thinspace"></span>m GSD. In the subsequent Quickbird satellite image, the GSD is down to 62<span class="thinspace"></span>cm and the sensitivity is even higher. Advancements in the geometric resolution of space images have improved the conditions for generations of large-scale topographic maps. With using WorldView-1, WorldView-2, and GeoEye-1, images can now be captured from space with a 0.5<span class="thinspace"></span>m ground sampling distance (GSD). The Worldview-4 display with the highest technology and resolution is being used in various application areas. WorldView-4 (formerly GeoEye-2), launched in November 2017, provides a second sensor which is capable of delivering imagery at 30<span class="thinspace"></span>cm resolution, the highest level of detail commercially available from satellite. WorldView-4 greatly expands the 30<span class="thinspace"></span>cm collection capabilities and archive growth in today’s imagery environment. Geometric accuracy and information content are the most significant components of mapping from space images. By using economical, rapid and periodic acquisition, and corresponding ground resolution, these satellites have established an alternative to aerial photos and have been widely used for various applications such as object extraction, change detection, topographic map production, and development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The utility of VHR images is dependent on their geometric accuracy and information content. Related with the study, the generally required production scale of 0.05 to 0.1<span class="thinspace"></span>mm GSD in the map scale has been confirmed. This corresponds to a topographic map scale of 1<span class="thinspace"></span>:<span class="thinspace"></span>10,000 respectively 1<span class="thinspace"></span>:<span class="thinspace"></span>5000 for 1<span class="thinspace"></span>m and 0.5<span class="thinspace"></span>m GSD images. In this study, images from IKONOS, QuickBird, WorldView-1, Worldview-2 and WorldView-4 have been used for topographic mapping. For this reason, İstanbul and Zonguldak test fields are an important area for applications of the high resolution imageries. The details which can be identified in the space images dominantly depends upon the ground resolution, available as ground sampling distance (GSD). In this study, high resolution imageries have been tested depending on the GSD and corresponding to the map scales for updating GIS database.</p>

Abstract:
The communication network is growing with some unique characteristics, such as consumers repeatedly request the same content to the server, similarity in local demand trend, and dynamic changes to requests within a specific period. Therefore, a different network paradigm is needed to replace the IP network, namely Named Data Network (NDN). The content store, which acts as a crucial component in the NDN nodes is a limited resource. In addition, a cache mechanism is needed to optimize the router’s content store by exploiting the different content services characters in the network. This paper proposes a new caching algorithm called Cache Based on Popularity and Class (CAPIC) with dynamic mechanism, and the detail explanation about the static method also presented. The goal of Static-CAPIC was to enhance the total cache hit ratio on the network by pre-determining the cache proportion for each content class. However, this technique is not appropriate to control the cache hit ratio for priority class. Therefore, the Dynamic-CAPIC is used to provide flexibility to change the cache proportion based on the frequency of requests in real-time. The formula involves considering the consumers’ request all the time. It gives a higher cache hit ratio for the priority content class. This method outperforms Static-CAPIC, and the LCD+sharing scheme in the total network cache hit ratio parameter and channels it to the priority class.

The aim of this study is to detect and analyze the relationship between verbal aggressiveness and interpersonal attractiveness using four secondary-school PE classes in central Greece (88 nodes). Content analysis of open-ended questions, social network analysis, Spearman test and PCA have been implemented. Main results: scientific and social attractiveness are interrelated with a subsequent emergence of power structures and negatively related to verbal aggressiveness. Targets of verbal aggressiveness receive aggressiveness consisting of hurt, irony, rudeness and threat. The general grade and students’ tendency for distinction are positively related to attractiveness and negatively related to verbal aggressiveness. Types of targets of interpersonal attractiveness are proposed (“the untargeted powerful” and “the targeted powerful”).

Abstract:
With the emergence of the Arab Spring and the Occupy movements, interest in the study of movements that use the Internet and social networking sites has grown exponentially. However, our inability to easily and cheaply analyze the large amount of content these movements produce limits our study of them. This article attempts to address this methodological lacuna by detailing procedures for collecting data from Facebook and presenting a class of computer-aided content analysis methods. I apply one of these methods in the analysis of mobilization patterns of Egypt's April 6 youth movement. I corroborate the method with in-depth interviews from movement participants. I conclude by discussing the difficulties and pitfalls of using this type of data in content analysis and in using automated methods for coding textual data in multiple languages.

Abstract:
The goal of this paper is to examine YouTube’s consumption frequency, its educational and entertaining content, its content creators YouTubers and to analyze the relation of consumption frequency between educational and entertaining content on a sample of 100 students from fifth to the eighth class of primary school (46 girls and 54 boys). The study was conducted with the constructed questionnaire, which was divided into four categories: sociodemographic features, consumption frequency of educational and entertaining content, everyday habits during YouTube’s usage, and popularity of educational and entertaining channels, YouTubers. During data analysis descriptive statistics was used and ANOVA and T-test for independent samples for significant differences. Results have shown that students are on average spending more time on YouTube (M=3, 23) than on television (M=2, 67) where daily consumption increases with every higher class. Smartphones are being used as the main platform for YouTube’s usage for the majority of students, precisely said for 72 students. Results have also shown that entertaining contents (M=2.79) are more used than educational content (M=2.18) where music content (M=3.88), funny videos (M=3.38), and gaming videos (M=3.19) are being most used. The strongest statistical differences between girls and boys have been found in gaming content (p&lt;.001), to the boys’ favour, and in beauty and style content (p&lt;.001), to the girls’ favour. Furthermore, results have shown that the average majority of students (M=2.93) are precisely choosing which videos are they going to watch, with the taken fact that the majority of students are watching videos from subscribed channels. In the end, entertaining channels (M=2.51) are more popular than educational channels (M=1.39). On the results’ basis, it is now possible to conduct further research and findings of didactic-methodical values of YouTube as a teaching tool, mainly thinking on its entertaining content, with the goal to upgrade and enhance education praxis and to promote a teacher as self-reflexive and adaptable, freely said, explorer in his dynamic, ever-changing and challenging work.

Abstract:
The rapid spread and development of the virtual educational environment occured with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019. Interest and demand for effective educational methods for virtual learning from educational institutions have been increasing due to this phenomenon. As a result, there has been a shift from the origianly design thinking educaiton model that existed solely in person, has now had to transition into a virtual format. For this reason, research related to design thinking education in the online environment is insufficient. This study proposes an educational model for online design thinking based on flipped-learning. Students can actively form a team by learning common theories and sharing individual topics. The model was created based on the hypothesis that it would positively affect online team activity. The design thinking subject questionnaire was designed to cover four areas: class content, concept application stage satisfaction, instructor intervention, team activity. These four fields were tested originally by Lawshe's CVR(Content Validity Ratio) analysis in order to analyze the descriptive statistics for the mean and the standard deviation. Additionally, the KS(Kolmogorov-Smirnov) test was utilized in order to analzye the difference between these items. The validity of all the questions presented in the four areas: class content, concept application stage satisfaction, instructor intervention, and team activity method, were all proven to be valid. The items whose validity has been proven through this study can be used as primary data for systematizing the ideal design thinking class model of flipped-learning for instructors in the university class setting.

Abstract:
Korean teachers observe and analyze their classes from a reflective point of view. They directly observed videos of their classes and interpret the class. Through this process, the teacher plays the role of a subject who interprets his/her class, and in the process, he/she can look at his/her class as a whole. In this study, 50 selfclass observation reports were collected, and analyzed using the NVivo 12 program. As a result of the analysis, 362 contents of self-reflection by teachers were found, and these were categorized into teacher factors, learner factors, class factors, and environmental factors. Among them, the most reflective content was on class factors. The content was about the problems and difficulties that the teacher encountered in the process of preparing and conducting the class. In order to improve a Korean teacher's class expertise and class quality, it is necessary for the teacher to view and interpret his/her own class from a reflective point of view. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously provide opportunities for class reflection so that teachers can improve their own classes.

Abstract:
AbstractWebsite analysis is an interdisciplinary field of inquiry that focuses on both digital literacy and language competence (Brugger, 2009). Website analysis in an EFL learning context has the potential to facilitate logical thinking and in the process develop functional language proficiency. This study reported on an English language website (http://www.travelbelize.org/) analysis experiment carried out for three weeks as an in-class and homework activity in a third year (junior) level English as a Foreign Language (EFL) course at a Japanese technical university. The purpose was to explore EFL learners’ ability to analyze an English language website and produce concrete design responses in English. During the first week of the analysis (involving sixteen students selected due to performing the best during earlier in-class website analysis activities on the course), participants produced their own responses to eight open-ended design questions about the website. The second week of the analysis (involving all 59 students on the course) tested the students’ ability to search for information from the website, and recorded their impressions about the website design based on standard usability questionnaires (CSUQ, QUIS, and MPRC). The third week of the analysis had the 59 students self-report on their use of meta-cognitive reading strategies (MARSI 1.0 Questionnaire) during the website analysis. The results of the questionnaires showed that, overall, the EFL students had a basic understanding of major design questions related to information organization, screen interface design, audience, technology used, etc. However, there was statistically significant variability between responses in different groups (comprehensive evaluation, webpage design, terminology and website information and website capabilities) and the respondents were not unanimous in their impressions about the website. The result of the student self-reports on metacognitive reading strategies showed wide acceptability and use of problem-solving strategies.

Abstract:
Investigating starch properties of different adzuki beans provides an important theoretical basis for its application. A comparative study was conducted to evaluate the starch content, processing, digestion, and structural quality of 12 adzuki bean varieties. The variation ranges of the 12 adzuki bean varieties with specific analyzed parameters, including the amylose/amylopectin (AM/AP) ratio, bean paste rate, water separation rate, solubility, swelling power and resistant starch (RS) content level, were 5.52–39.05%, 44.7–68.2%, 45.56–54.29%, 6.79–12.07%, 11.83–15.39%, and 2.02–14.634%, respectively. The crystallinity varied from 20.92 to 37.38%, belonging to type BC(The starch crystal type is mainly type C, supplemented by type B). In correlation analysis, red and blue represent positive and negative correlation, respectively. Correlation analysis indicated that the termination temperature of adzuki bean starch was positively correlated with AM/AP ratio. Therefore, the higher the melting temperature, the better the freeze–thaw stability. The 12 varieties were divided into Class I, Class II, and Class III by cluster analysis, based on application field. Class I was unsuitable for the diabetics’ diet; Class II was suitable for a stabilizer; and Class III was suitable for bean paste, mixtures, and thickeners. The present study could provide a theoretical basis for their application in the nutritional and nutraceutical field.

Abstract:
Over-the-top (OTT) firms must overcome the hurdle of the competitive Korean media market to achieve sustainable growth. To do so, understating how users enjoy OTT and analyzing usage patterns is essential. This research aims to empirically identify a profitable niche in the Korean OTT market by applying market segmentation theory. In addition, it investigates an effective content strategy to convert free users into paying customers belonging to profitable niche segments. The latent class regression model was applied to Korean Media Panel Survey data to divide Korean OTT customers into submarkets. According to an empirical analysis, Korean OTT users can be divided into three submarkets based on their OTT usage patterns, with the third segment serving as a profitable niche market. An additional analysis of the profitable niche market revealed that bundling content, such as foreign content, original content, and movies, is a crucial content strategy for increasing paying subscribers in a profitable niche segment.

Abstract:
Hybrid systems are those that inherently combine discrete and continuous dynamics. This paper considers the hybrid system model to be an extension of the discrete automata associating a continuous evolution with each discrete state. This model is called the hybrid automaton. In this work, we achieve a mathematical formulation of the steady state and we show a way to obtain the initial conditions region to reach a specific limit cycle for a class of uncoupled and coupled continuous-linear hybrid systems. The continuous-linear term is used in the sense of the system theory and, in this sense, continuous-linear hybrid automata will be defined. Thus, some properties and theorems that govern the hybrid automata dynamic behavior to evaluate a limit cycle existence have been established; this content is explained under a theoretical framework.

Abstract:
A huge number of date varieties grow annually throughout the world. The genetic variation between different date varieties is reflected in their variable sensory characters and phytochemical contents. Date pits are considered a waste product of the date industry, despite their rich metabolic content. The present study attempts to generate visual clustering to clarify the diversity among fourteen date cultivars growing in the Qassim region, according to the phytochemical contents and biological potentials of their pits. The results indicated a wide variation in the total phenolic content (11.4–29.7 mg GAE/g), flavonoids content (21.9–37.1 mg RE/g), proanthocyanidine content (12.0–207.0 mg CE/g), and antioxidant potential (10.3–25.5 mg AEAC/g) among the tested cultivars. Screening the antimicrobial activity of extracts from the 14 tested cultivars indicated different activities against Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica, and Candida albicans. Multivariate analysis of phytochemical content and biological activity, using different analytical models, allowed the classification of the 14 cultivars into four classes, Class-1: Barhi, Safawi, and Sukkari; Class-2: Khodry and Nabtat Ali; Class-3: Ruthana, Segae, Shaqra, and Sheishee; and Class-4: Hulwa Aljouf, Mabroom, Meneifi, Rushodia, and Wannana. These findings provide a scientific basis for the classification of date pits which facilitates the future selection of promising candidates for more phytochemical and biological exploration.

Abstract:
As urban sewer infrastructures age, it becomes increasingly important to make effective decisions to maintain the structural condition of the sewers at an acceptable level. To support the decision-making process, the utility manager can apply sewer deterioration models. However, the quality of the decision support from such models is dependent on the accuracy and reliability of the predictions, and previous research has shown that sewer deterioration predictions can be unreliable. In this paper it is shown, by numerical experiment and analysis of information content, how the accuracy of sewer deterioration models is inhibited by data heterogeneity. The data heterogeneity arises when the condition class is used as a response variable, because the condition class is an aggregation of different failure modes, and contains information that does not describe structural deterioration. Based on these findings, the paper suggests changes to be implemented in the condition classification standard, which can mitigate heterogeneity and improve prediction reliability. The suggestions for improvement include distinguishing between structural and functional defect codes, defining new condition metrics better suited for deterioration modelling, and registration of detailed defect codes to allow distinction of different failure mechanisms.

Abstract In this article, we consider how contemporary media use is structured by social class, following the theoretical and methodical framework derived from Bourdieu's book Distinction, published in 1984, with a detailed study of everyday use of media platforms, brands, and content among Norwegian citizens (N = 2,064). First, we analyse how such media use varies in the overall social space using multiple correspondence analysis. Second, we independently explore the main differences and groupings of media practices, combining multifactor analysis and cluster analysis. While identifying important gender and generational differences, this study clearly shows how media use inside both younger and older generations are marked by class differences, which we argue demonstrates the fundamental and continuing importance of class for understanding mediated lifestyles.

Abstract:
Three orange-mesocarp derivatives of the xishuangbannan cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. var. xishuangbannanesis Qi et Yuan), P100, P101, and P104; and NPI (P105), an unrelated cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) reported to have orange flesh, were selected as parents for a diallel experiment to evaluate inheritance of orange cucumber mesocarp pigment over 3 years. Visual color intensity and carotenoid content were closely related. A preponderance of additive genetic effects for cucumber mesocarp pigmentation was observed in grade size 2 fruit (immature fruit used for pickling). Both additive and nonadditive genetic effects were important in grade size 4 fruit (mature). Years and yea× genotype interactions were highly significant for pigmentation of size 2 fruit, indicating the importance of environment on the expression of pigmentation in this size class. In contrast, color development was stable among years for size 4 fruit. P104 exhibited high general combining ability (GCA) estimates for size 4 fruit pigmentation across years, while P101 had high GCA estimates for size 2 fruit. The diallel analysis illustrated high fruit carotene content of parents per se. However, most hybrid combinations of the diallel reduced carotenoid content relative to parents, indicating both dominance for low carotenoid content for both fruit sizes and lack of genetic complementation among parents to enhance fruit color. Genetic control of pigmentation in size 2 fruit appeared to be independent of that for size 4 fruit.

Abstract:
Many older adults continue to engage in sexual behavior, most often in the context of long-term marriages. Prior studies have tended to examine older adults’ sexual behavior, desires and motivations separately. Thus, there remain considerable gaps in our understanding of the multifaceted-nature of older couples’ sexual expression. Using dyadic latent class analysis and data on 953 heterosexual couples in long-term marriages from Wave 2 of the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP), we describe configurations of couples’ sexual expression. Four latent classes were identified. Within each latent class, couples were largely in agreement about their sexual behaviors, but husbands consistently expressed greater desire and motivation than their wives. In the highest engagement class, couples reported more frequent and wide-ranging activities (vaginal sex, oral sex, intimate touching), more frequent thinking about sex, greater satisfaction with their amount of sexual activity, and placed more importance on sex as part of their lives. In the lowest engagement class, both spouses indicated no sexual activity in the past year, but neither spouse was content with this situation even as both agreed sex was not an important part of life. Demographic, relational, and health factors were associated with membership in different classes. Health factors—especially sexual difficulties—were most predictive, with husbands’ health more associated with latent class membership than wives’ health. Given the complex and multifaceted nature of sexual expression among older married couples, geriatricians and other health practitioners should provide care that recognizes a wider array of activities and the potential for unmet need. Sexual expression is an important component of older adults’ health and well-being.

This paper reports an action-research study aimed at exploring the benefits of the critical analysis of YouTubers’ content through the empowerment spiral model to foster students’ talk as performance. Twenty 11th-grade students shared alternative messages related to social issues based on content analysis and reflections. Data were collected via preservice teachers’ journals, students’ written and multimedia artifacts, and voice recordings, whose analysis was done through processes of codification and categorization. The results showed that the implementation of critical media literacy helped students become aware of the content they were consuming and improve their English oral performance by means of specific oral activities. Therefore, this study has a balance between English as a foreign language learning and the use of critical approaches.

New social movements are one of the most discussed phenomena in social sciences since their emergence in the 1960s. These movements, which are considered as a reflection of the economic, political and social transformations experienced in contemporary societies, are discussed with their various characteristics and are subject to many theoretical approaches. This study examines the New Social Movements Theory, which is one of the most influential of these theoretical approaches. Two important names of the theory, Touraine and Melucci, evaluate new movements within the framework of post-industrial social theories and examine them in the context of transition from class-based movements to culture-identity-based movements. This approach lays the foundational idea of this theory. Elements such as the actors, goals, discourses, and organizational structures of the new movements are basically addressed on this ground and the differentiation between the new movements and the old movements is explained within this framework. This theory, which treats new social movements as a part of a new social construct, has been the subject of many criticisms. The analysis of this theory based on the post-industrial society and its explanation frames based on culture-identity have been criticized especially by Marxist approaches. Hence, this study examines the new social movements theory in the context of founding ideas, content, and criticism of the theory. In the study, firstly, the basic ideas of the theory in relation to social analysis are discussed, and then the approach of the movements towards the actors, values, goals and forms of organization is analyzed. Abstract:
As a lecturer in a business class, it might be interesting to dig deep to advertisement slogan embedded with sexual content like Condoms advertisement. This advertisement uses implicit language in the way they promote the product because it mostly leads to free sex. Therefore, the phenomenon of advertisers creatively uses the implicit slogans to attract their customers about their product might be interesting to discuss. This study aims to investigate the use of conversational implicature and the violation of cooperative principle or maxims occurred in condoms advertisement slogan and investigate the perception of business class students toward the analysis of this advertisement slogan to learn. It was descriptive qualitative research with 15 condoms advertisement slogans to be analyzed and 15 business class students to be interviewed. The result came with 100% particularized implicature used, 100% of violating of maxim of quantity, 100% of violating of maxim manner, 73 % of violating maxim of quality, and no violation in maxim of relevance. In conclusion, advertisers are using particularized implicature and violation of some cooperative principles or maxims to avoid informative messages in promoting their product (condom) which is banned in their advertisement rule. However, the advertisers keep making the slogans relevant to the products, so that some particular people can easily understand the message conveyed by the slogans. Moreover, the business class students agreed that this analysis should be important to learn because they will work as an entrepreneur who thinks about utterances in creating slogans for advertisement, especially sexual content. Further research should analyze more slogans in sexual content and use more techniques of analysis.

Abstract:
This paper explained heavy metals and chemical properties from the Cisadane River in Tangerang City. A survey method was used to determine the place for sampling the test material. Water measurement is carried out in situ and laboratory tests. Data retrieval was done by purposive sampling determining three observation stations, namely in the Taman Gajah Tunggal park area (station1), Babakan Cikokol residential area (station 2), and Karawaci paper mill area (station 3). The analysis was carried out exactly using analysis. Namely, analysis carried out in the laboratory. The parameters observed were COD, phosphate, DO, BOD, pH. Results of this study informed the water quality in the Cisadane City river did not meet Class II Water Quality Standards based on Government Regulation Number 82, the year 2001. The COD content only meets class II water quality standards at stations 1 and 3. BOD and phosphate content is high and exceeds class II water quality standards. Heavy metal content still meets the water quality standard threshold with a value of Cd less than 0.01 mg/L, Cu less than 0.02 mg/L, Pb less than 0.03mg/L, and Cr less than 0.05mg/L. Zn content exceeds the water quality standard threshold at station three and meets water quality standards at stations 1 and 2 with a value of less than 0.05mg/L.

Abstract:
Background/Context The Common Core State Standards reveals how little we understand about the components of effective discussion-based instruction in disciplinary history. Although the case for classroom discussion as a core method for subject matter learning stands on stable theoretical and empirical ground, to date, none of the research on classroom discussion has examined whole-class text-based discussion in secondary history classrooms. Purpose This study explored how teachers and students in five 11th-grade classrooms participated in whole-class discussion, using intervention materials designed to promote text-based disciplinary discussion. Analysis of videotaped instruction sought to (a) determine the degree to which the instructional materials fostered disciplinary discussion about texts, and (b) analyze teacher talk moves that characterized effective facilitation of such discussions. Research Design This qualitative study was embedded in a larger quasi-experimental curricular intervention that found treatment effects on factual recall, historical thinking, and general reading comprehension. In this paper, we analyze classroom videos from five treatment classrooms taken over the course of the six-month intervention. Each teacher was videotaped once per week, for a total of 20 videotaped lessons per teacher. Findings/Results Analyses showed that disciplinary discussion was surprisingly rare, and discussion that promoted historical understanding even rarer. Discussions that were most successful in deepening students’ historical understanding were characterized by talk moves that drew students’ attention to the text, and that stabilized the historical content. Conclusions/Recommendations The study has implications for teacher preparation focused on implementation of Common Core State Standards as well as for teacher training in do-main-specific core practices.

Abstract:
In the era of Internet development, teaching methods are constantly updated. As an important part of English teaching methods, micro-teaching has been studied deeply by many scholars. Even though people are currently in an era when English micro-teaching is becoming more and more popular, there are not many articles about research on English micro-teaching research. Thus, this paper applies qualitative content analysis to study the academic articles on English micro-teaching from 2008 to 2020, and focuses on the issues related to English micro-teaching. The results show that: (1) The most commonly used method for conducting the research on English micro-class teaching is a questionnaire survey, followed by interviews. (2) The main advantage of English micro-teaching is that it is beneficial to teacher education, but the main disadvantage is the lack of real classroom features.

Abstract:
Throughout recent decades, histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors have shown encouraging potential in cancer treatment, and several pan-HDAC inhibitors have been approved for treating malignant cancers. Numerous adverse effects of pan-HDAC inhibitors have been reported, however, during preclinical and clinical evaluations. To avoid undesirable responses, an increasing number of investigations are focusing on the development of isotype-selective HDAC inhibitors. In this study, we present an effective and quantitative cellular assay using high-content analysis (HCA) to determine compounds’ inhibition of the activity of HDAC6 and Class I HDAC isoforms, by detecting the acetylation of their corresponding substrates (i.e., α-tubulin and histone H3). Several conditions that are critical for HCA assays, such as cell seeding number, fixation and permeabilization reagent, and antibody dilution, have been fully validated in this study. We used selective HDAC6 inhibitors and inhibitors targeting different HDAC isoforms to optimize and validate the capability of the HCA assay. The results indicated that the HCA assay is a robust assay for quantifying compounds’ selectivity of HDAC6 and Class I HDAC isoforms in cells. Moreover, we screened a panel of compounds for HDAC6 selectivity using this HCA assay, which provided valuable information for the structure–activity relationship (SAR). In summary, our results suggest that the HCA assay is a powerful tool for screening selective HDAC6 inhibitors.
