Abstract:

Abstract:
A system of concepts and definitions was generalized, the basic principles of creating eco- objects are defined and formulated in the article. A model of the system representation of the eco-object is proposed to determine the concepts of environmental sustainability and structure ecologization. The concept of ecologization of the life cycle of the object is formulated, the appropriative scheme is proposed. The concept of ecologization of the object's functioning is presented. As a result of the structural analysis of the concept, three concepts of the functioning of the eco-object during the exploitation were formulated and highlighted. The factors that directly or indirectly influence decision-making in the process of shaping were systematized, formulated, presented in the schematic form. As a result of the dissertation research on the basis of analysis of examples from the design practice, systematization of data, development of the typology of objects of eco-architecture in terms of geometric schemes, constructive solutions and their interrelations, elaboration of a proposal for a new method of rational, multivariate use of ecological principles in the objects of different structure and purpose, the algorithm of modeling objects of eco-design as the basis of the decision-making system was developed.

Abstract:
The premises of the emergence of concepts about nature and the environment led to the emergence of new directions of philosophy, represented by eco-philosophy and ethics applied to the environment. These ideas result from the interference of philosophy with fields dedicated to studying nature and the environment, all of which have led to new currents of thinking that have shown tendencies toward the development of pro-ecological movements, such as the deep ecology movement or ecological humanism. The paper identifies how philosophy can support humanity, and especially communities, to protect the environment and planet in general through a new specialization—the practice of eco-philosophy applied to communities, supporting the need to promote ecological concepts, based on principles and tools taken from philosophy. In order to achieve the objective of the paper, three research questions were stated, and the methodology used consisted of a comparative study of the concepts and a bibliometric analysis of the literature identified for the analyzed fields. The results showed that in previous research, a network was created between the concepts of ecology, philosophy, and ethics. This fact confirms that, to put them into practice, a training program is needed for philosophical consulting practitioners who will apply the knowledge learned in dialogue with individuals or groups, as well as with organizations and the community. The conclusion of the paper supports the development of a dialogue between various areas as a necessary component for developing a sustainable community by implementing new counseling practices for communities, called Eco-Philosophy for Community (EP4com).

Abstract:
This paper has two main objectives: (i) to discuss essential concepts of the ecological approach to composition, proposing the term eco-composition as a common reference for theoretical perspectives and compositional techniques; and (ii) to present the multimedia piece Vivir sin después, realised within the context of the Paititi Project.Following the Introduction, the paper is divided into two main sections. In section 2 we discuss issues raised by the application of the ecological approach to composition. Regarding the data-gathering procedures, eco-composition provides two effective methods: re-enaction and anchoring. Organisation of sonic materials is done through accumulation of heterarchical layers, giving rise to emergent musical phenomena. Section 3 dwells on the compositional strategies applied in the multimedia installation Vivir sin después. We describe the process of re-enacting the first Spanish trip through the Amazon River Basin, carried out by Francisco de Orellana and fifty-nine Spaniards in 1541. Then we address technical aspects of the piece, such as the application of multiple views of single entities, the development of non-hierarchical forms and the manipulation of sonic fields.

Abstract:
The formation of ethical fashion is a priority and a decisive factor in the efficiency of the activities of fashion and beauty industry enterprises. In the context of accelerated development of socio-economic processes, rapid technological changes, the growing needs of humanity along with the simultaneous increase in ecological pollution and the limited natural resources, questions are increasingly pressing about the practical use of ecological aspects of doing business. The article is aimed at studying the theoretical foundations of the essence of eco products, determining its role and importance in the modern world; analyzing the conceptions of development of ecologically oriented enterprises in the sphere of fashion industry. As a result of the carried out study, the theoretical foundations of the formation of the essence of concepts «eco fashion», «eco products», «conscious consumption» are considered and their role in the modern world is analyzed; the main motives for the creation of eco products in the fashion and beauty industry, as well as the main ecological concepts, are outlined. It is substantiated that the formation of the eco products market in the fashion and beauty industry should be understood as a market mechanism that is able to make changes in ecological production focused on economic and social benefits for both producers and consumers and society in general. According to the results of the study, we can conclude that ecological clothing is safer, better, hypoallergenic and convenient, and the advantages of creating eco products are: facilitation of the preservation of the environment; preservation and restoration of soil; reduction of carbon emissions into the atmosphere during the production of ecological clothing; increasing the competitiveness of producers in both the domestic and the foreign markets; resource saving and reduction of energy intensity of production; promoting the preservation of the health of the nation.

Abstract:
This essay calls for a wider use of Tina Amorok’s (2007) concepts of eco-Being, eco-trauma of Being, and eco-recovery of Being in ecocritical literary studies. I propose the adoption of Amorok’s concepts as a literary hermeneutic because it provides a theoretical model that positions ecological damage as central to wartime trauma. To demonstrate the effectiveness of Amorok’s framework, the following essay reads Tim O’Brien’s 1990 novel The Things They Carried alongside Amorok’s eco-Being, eco-trauma, and eco-recovery. Reading O’Brien’s text through Amorok’s model is particularly intriguing and noteworthy because almost no critics investigate the ecocritical dimensions of O’Brien’s novel. Yet, despite the absence of green scholarship surrounding O’Brien’s novel, Amorok’s framework, as I will show, draws attention to the environmental costs of war as depicted in O’Brien’s novel. Applying Amorok’s model as an ecocritical lens to The Things They Carried demonstrates how we can use Amorok’s tripartite structure to further unpack the ecological dimensions of fiction that seemingly have little to do with the environment.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
Human capital (HC) plays an important role in modern agriculture. The difference in efficiency of assets explains only about a half of the economic performance of agricultural farms, while the other half relies on HC. Although education and training are the main components of HC, it may also be viewed from the perspective of behavioral theories that were taken under consideration in this study. The role of HC in sustainable farming has not been sufficiently explained when it comes to contractual governance (CG). In this study, the meaning of contractual governance was extended and the eco-contractual governance (ECG) concept was proposed, which stands for CG induced by agri-environmental contracts. The main objective of the article is to confirm the latent concepts of HC and ECG and to verify their correlation in view of the standards imposed by the agricultural policy. To achieve this goal, a structural equation model was developed and simultaneous confirmatory factor analysis with ordinal variables was carried out based on the sample of 674 small farms in Poland. The analysis has confirmed a relatively strong correlation between HC and ECG. It was revealed that training plays a crucial role in this relationship, while economic dependence on agricultural policy weakens the effectiveness of both HC and ECG.

Abstract This study focused on the research of the concept and implementation of eco-friendly design-based products over the years. Pertinent literature was reviewed in order to develop a comprehensive table of the empirical studies that pointed to the numerous findings which are linked to this investigation. The summary from 23 previous studies identified some variables, including design product, concept, and results. From the data, pro-environmental design concepts that were kept hidden in eco-friendly goals were used in various fields such as education, health, and engineering. In addition to the discussion of findings and contributions of the previous research, this study identified the gaps in the featured literature and suggested potential topics for eco-friendly product design research. Thus, this study aimed to provide a brief review of how the variables in this research could encourage the implementation of eco-friendly concepts and practical values.

Abstract:
Global warming has brought new challenges to urban development worldwide. Built environment and cities are estimated to cause some 40-70% of the environmental impacts. This questions our current urban development practises and challenges us to find new solutions to manage the issues. The purpose of this study is to identify feasible eco-efficient concepts that can be implemented in the urban development process. These concepts are identified with a constructive research method, where potential concepts are originally identified from literature and further enhanced with thematic expert interviews, and finally, the suggested concepts are tested with a questionnaire and presented in an integrated framework for the eco-efficient concepts to better understand the requirements and opportunities in public urban development. The results showed that the urban development concepts that were most appealing to public stake holders were; an integrated design process, eco-efficient traffic and transportation solutions, and eco-efficient complementary development. Local energy procurement and management was also perceived as relatively lucrative services when developing eco-efficient urban areas. This study provides an extensive information platform (different ideas, themes, and concepts) to promote eco-efficiency in urban development in order to maintain and improve the sustainable quality of life and welfare in our urban society.

The article deals with the problems of the ecological crisis in its relationship with the economy. Statistics are provided. From the analysis of the literature, it is concluded that there is a shortage in a comprehensive study of the problem - with coverage not only of technologies that affect environmental risks, but penetrating into the depths of the issue, i.e. production relations, linking the problem with the crisis of industrial production and the transition to a different type of social reproduction. Methods and materials. Mainly the systems approach, the method of scientific abstraction, formal logic, dialectical-theoretical methods, the method of empirical analysis and other economic methods were used. We used the paradigma concept of equilibrium as a methodological basis. Results achieved. The ecological crisis has long roots. The main factors of human alienation from nature: technical progress; approval of the positivism paradigm in the scientific methodology; the victory of the market model of the economy. As a result, man was torn out of his natural environment. He lives and works in rhythms and according to rules that contradict natural laws. The result is the growing global crisis of industrial civilization. The article classifies environmental risks, as well as directions of their neutralization, primarily using economic and political methods. In the systemic plan, restoration of the disturbed balance of a person with society and nature is required. This may be facilitated by the formation of a new stage in the development of society, one of the concepts of which is the theory of the “New Industrial Society” (NIS.2.).

Abstract:

Abstract:
The increase in greenhouse gases emissions has incurred major concerns about the environment. As a result, important concepts have been developed to furnish possible measures to mitigate ecological impacts. A relevant example to be pointed out is the concept of eco-efficiency, which is usually evaluated through eco-indicators and represents a useful tool for the analysis of environmental impacts associated with the industry. In this concern, this work aims to evaluate, through eco-indicators, the CO2 emissions from two maleic anhydride production plants (via benzene and via n-butane) and compare their eco-efficiency, with basis on computational simulation. Hence, it will be possible to evaluate the suitability of eco-indicators for analyzing ecological effects of industrial plants.

Abstract:
In light of surging cross-disciplinary interest in rethinking the conceptions of attention and attention economy, this article conducts an archaeology of Marshall McLuhan’s concepts in order to construct a theory of attention implicit in his media paradigm. McLuhan’s most attentional concepts are explained (such as figure/ground and cliché/archetype) and synthesized into an integrated account of his idea of attention, which I call ‘eco-formed attention’. It contrasts with reigning individualist and collectivist theories of attention by being constitutive, modal, dialectical, environmental and negative-inclusive. I argue that McLuhan’s fundamental problematic of attention – concepts mismatching percepts – is solved by using eco-formed attention to become a ‘media psychonaut’. Four procedures are explained to illustrate psychonautic interventions in eco-formed attention. This project is useful for media-ecological analyses, creative re-engagement with media, and reforming attention within future technological changes. The article concludes by linking to several agendas in media ecology and across the humanities.

Abstract:
This article outlines an eco-operational theory of technical mediation that centers on Gilbert Simondon’s notion of technicity. The argument is that technical apparatuses do the work of concepts. However, the eco-operational viewpoint completely alters the status of concepts: what they are, where they are, and what they do. Technicity, as understood here, concerns the efficacious action and operational functioning of a broad range of apparatuses (including living bodies and technical machines), which are conceived as adaptive mediators. The focus on technicity provides a new notion of the virtual, that of the operationally real, which resonates with Gilles Deleuze’s while also marking a new direction. What is more, by approaching mediation in terms of technicity, the eco-operational framework offers a novel understanding of concept or generality that stakes out a middle path between Kantian representational generality and Deleuzian concrete singularity.

Abstract:
Life purpose is an internal representation of a personally meaningful, prosocial contribution the person intends to engage with over their life span. Individuals’ purposes interact within a social-cultural eco-system by directing individuals’ perceptions toward situational resources (including others’ purposes) that can help enact their purpose. Education can encourage students to explore their purposes within and beyond the classroom. This paper describes a case study of a class offered six times using three different ecological “niches”: (1) conceptual understanding eco-niche focused on learning the concept and its relationships to other concepts; (2) resources-application eco-niche focused on reconceiving aspects of the concept as intellectual instruments to apply to real-life cases, including students themselves; (3) iterative practice eco-niche focused on implementing purposes within various contexts and interpreting feedback from those contexts. Using a feedback loop model to interpret how each eco-niche favours a different starting point and development trajectory through Damon’s (2008) four dimensions of purpose, this eco-niche comparison (a) emphasizes how “high impact” educational experiences focus not on the students’ improvements but rather on the improvements of communities as a result of students' enacting their purpose through their contributions, and (b) offers insights for teachers to infuse purpose development opportunities in their classes.

Predictive Technique Audits, one of the types of environmental audit, is considered to have greatest potential role in strengthening the Environmental Impact Assessment practice in India. Many predictive techniques which rely upon the use of mathematical or computer models have also been subject to an audit. There is a need for strengthening the understanding on which environmental attributes can be predicted in a quantified manner, and which predictive techniques may be applied to provide predictions within an acceptable range of error, recognizing that this will be influenced by the significance of the attribute under consideration. With this backdrop, the present paper outlines the concepts of predictive techniques in Environmental Eco-Audits.

Abstract:
Scientific and business environment literature shows that green, sustainable innovation or eco-innovation has proven to be a source of competitive advantage today. The industrial clusters, their dynamism, and the synergies created within them attract a lot of attention from the scientific community. However, to date, the joint study of these two concepts and, more specifically, the factors that drive eco-innovation specifically in a cluster, have not been studied in depth. This article models eco-innovation in industrial clusters, thus addressing this gap and proposing a model based on information gathered from the literature and a detailed analysis of behavior in relation to eco-innovation in different sectors. Results suggest that including eco-innovation variables and measures may have positive implications such as improvements at the strategic level and the reduction of costs and use of resources. An eco-innovation model for clusters is proposed. It considers eight key factors that seek to raise its competitive level by promoting eco-innovation within clusters. The model includes five internal factors that analyze business capabilities and three external factors that study the effect of launching eco-innovative activities. This model could help the companies’ managers and those responsible for clusters in creating more successful strategies to increase competitiveness by enhancing eco-innovation. It could also serve as a guide for government entities in the performance of eco-innovative activities in economic sectors.

AbstractGreen Supply chain, Green Packaging, Eco-labels, and Eco-design strategies are concepts that are discussed frequently within scientific and political debates. Eco-design strategies for Lifecycle Design include the Eco-design Strategy wheel which presents eight Eco-design strategies: New concept development, Selection of low-impact materials, Reduction of materials usage, Optimization of production techniques, Optimization of distribution system, Reduction of impact during use, Optimization of initial lifetime, and Optimization of end-of-life system. This research investigates specifically the selection of low impact raw materials phase using the European Union as a benchmark to improve the Egyptian situation and aims to apply the closed loop cycle to the Egyptian Plastics Industry. Its goal is to enlight the way towards Sustainable and Circular economy system in Plastics manufacturing sector in Egypt while emphasizing the financial benefits from the Business and Marketing perspectives rather than the Environmental perspective only.
