Cet article propose de faire le lien entre les différentes révolutions industrielles, les principales théories de l’apprentissage et la formation en ligne : à travers l’histoire, nous montrons comment l’éducation s’est toujours plus centrée sur l’apprenant, quand nos systèmes de production et d’éducation de masse ont dépossédé les consommateurs de la conception et de l’agencement des produits et les apprenants de leurs curriculums d’apprentissage. En introduisant une dimension connectiviste dans un cours à l’université, nous montrons ses effets sur les étudiants, sur leurs apprentissages et sur comment le connectivisme pourrait permettre de développer les compétences essentielles à la quatrième révolution industrielle.

Abstract:
This article begins with a critical review of alternative strategies currently in use to study educational productivity. These unfolding research programs are considered in the light of increasing public demands for improvement of productivity in education. A critique is offered of the dominant conception of the education production process that undergirds many of these studies, and alternative conceptions are offered. The effects of efforts to improve productivity are examined in the context of each of these different conceptions. The article concludes by advocating a new line of research designed to generate insight into more fundamental aspects of education production processes. This new type of productivity research places greater emphasis than is customary on the classroom as the unit of analysis.

Paul Flandrin en Italie (1834-1838), entre Ingres et Corot. Cet article prend en considération la période romaine de Paul Flandrin (1811-1902), se basant sur une ample production inédite de l’artiste : vingt cinq oeuvres entre dessins, peinture, carnets, albums y sont présentées et soumises à discussion critique en une mise en rapport avec Ingres et Corot, reconnus comme les deux référents de Flandrin. Nous nous proposons une lecture qui identifie, dans les années romaines (1834-1838), la naissance de deux parcours que le peintre entreprend en Italie et qui marquent l’ensemble de sa carrière : une ligne de simplification et de synthèse fondée sur l’étude d’après nature d’une part, et d’autre parte une manière poétique, intime et symboliste de conception de la nature. Sera également mis en valeur le réseau d’échanges et de relations artistiques entre Flandrin et ses collègues paysagistes.

Abstract:
The prediction of failures in a factory is now an important area of industry that helps to reduce time and cost of non-quality from the data generated from the sensors installed on production lines, this data is used to detect anomalies and predict defects before they occur. The purpose of this article is to model an intelligent production line capable of predicting various types of non-conforming products. For that, we will utilize the neural network methodology within the specific context of a production line specialized in juice manufacturing. Firstly, we introduce the production line under study, along with its distinct manufacturing phases. Secondly, we evaluate the performance indicators of this line, enabling us to gain an overview of its efficiency and overall performance. Subsequently, we present common industrial solutions that are frequently implemented to address the issues identified during our analysis. At this stage, we propose a predictive model based on neural network methodology. This model will possess the capability to detect and identify defective products and potential hazards within a production line before they occur. Throughout this study, we compare between three models of neural networks: LSTM model using Stochastic gradient descend (SGD), Feed forward model using ADAM Optimization and Feed forward model using Levenberg–Marquardt back propagation (LMBP), in order to determine the most optimal method in terms of achieved results. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness, performance, and accuracy of the results through the testing phase of the neural networks.

AbstractThe objectives of this study were to investigate reproductive performance and the influence of maternal environment on reproductive performance in two genetic lines of maiden heifers. These were given food and managed in the same way at the Langhill Dairy Cattle Research Centre. The two genetic lines were established in 1973; one has been selected for high combined yield of fat plus protein (selection line; S) and the other has been maintained at around the UK average for genetic merit of yield of fat plus protein (control line; C). Analysis of the reproductive performance of 988 heifers born between 1981 and 1998 showed that S heifers were poorer (all P < 0·05) than C heifers for all reproductive measures: conception at first service (S: 0·64, s.e. 0·02; C: 0·71, s.e. 0·03), interval between first and last service (S: 18·2 days, s.e. 2·2; C: 13·4 days, s.e. 2·2) and number of services per conception (S: 1·49 services, s.e. 0·06; C: 1·39 services, s.e. 0·06). S heifers were also younger at first service than C heifers (474·9 days v. 480·1 days, s.e. 1·9, for S and C respectively; P • 01). Fertility of service sires may have had some influence on these results, but this could not be investigated here, as S heifers were mated only to high merit bulls and C heifers to average merit bulls. However, within genetic line, the yearly downward trend in the average number of services per conception of heifers was significantly different from zero for the S line, but not the C line. There were no statistically significant relationships between conception rates in maiden heifers and their subsequent reproductive performance in first lactation. The effect of maternal environment on the reproductive performance of daughters as maiden heifers was investigated. There were no statistically significant relationships between daughter reproductive performance and dam parity or the feeding system of the dam (either a high or low level of concentrates). Within the limited range of nutritional status of dams during the periods post calving and in early pregnancy, there was no statistically significant effect of maternal nutrition on daughter reproductive performance.

Abstract:
Summary Economic and sensitivity analysis methods were used to evaluate financial returns from use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) at the time of insemination to enhance fertility of dairy cows. A computer spread sheet was used to determine the best service(s) for GnRH treatment, the increase in conception rate required for economic benefit from treatment, and how profits from GnRH treatment are affected by drug cost, herd reproductive efficiency, and production costs. Financial returns increased from use of GnRH at insemination under most herd conditions. Herds with conception rates ≤45% benefited from GnRH treatment at any 1 or 2 inseminations. Herds with conception rates ≥60% benefited from GnRH treatment only at second or later services. Selection of second and/or third insemination as the GnRH treatment service usually resulted in the greatest total return. The enhancement of fertility necessary to achieve the break-even point with GnRH treatment at third service was 2% for low-and 5% for high-conception-rate herds. Base-line herd conception rates, estrus detection efficiency, replacement costs, value of excess days not pregnant, and cost of treatment had the greatest effect on returns from treatment. Herds with high conception rates and low replacement costs were likely to realize the least benefit from GnRH treatment at insemination. On the basis of our findings, we concluded that GnRH treatment at insemination is a profitable procedure under most herd conditions. Optimal treatment regimens for specific herds may best be determined by using herd performance and management data for calculating returns.

Abstract The problem considered in the paper is motivated by production planning in a foundry equipped with the furnace and casting line, which provides a variety of castings in various grades of cast iron/steel for a large number of customers. The quantity of molten metal does not exceed the capacity of the furnace, the load is a particular type of metal from which the products are made. The goal is to create the order of the melted metal loads to prevent delays in delivery of goods to customers. This problem is generally considered as a lot-sizing and scheduling problem. The paper describes a mathematical programming model that formally defines the optimization problem and its relaxed version that is based on the conception of rolling-horizon planning.

There is evidence from UK field data to suggest that selection for milk yield has led to a deterioration in the fertility of lactating dairy cows (Pryce et al., 1997). As cow fertility may be affected by metabolic load and lactation effects, it is important to investigate the fertility of non-lactating heifers. Since 1973 selection line (S) cows at the Langhill Dairy Cattle Research Centre have been bred to bulls with the highest predicted transmitting abilities for weights of fat plus protein (PTA F+P) available in the UK, while the control line (C) are of about UK average genetic merit for PTA F+P. Results using data from lactating Langhill cows show that S cows have calving intervals that are, on average, 12 days longer than C cows, which is a combination of poorer conception rates and a delay in first observed oestrus (Pryce et al., 1999). The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of selection for PTA F+P on the fertility of maiden heifers at Langhill.

Abstract:
Research on the constitution, food security, and sustainable development have become widely explored. However, issues related to the legal framework in the context of a green constitution remain unresolved. This is particularly evident in Indonesia’s efforts to address the food crisis, which has led to substantial deforestation. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the implementation of food security efforts in line with a green constitution in Indonesia. Despite the potential for adopting sustainability for future generations, there is hesitance in implementing articles related to a green constitution in food security activities. This legal issue is examined as normative research using conceptual and comparative methods and deductive logic. The results show that, firstly, food security is a pillar in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), necessitating the correction of erroneous paradigms to optimize the strategic project. The urgency of the implementation in line with sustainable development is based on five fundamental points: conservation of natural resources, environmental protection, social welfare, sustainable economic growth, and fulfilling future needs. Secondly, legislation firmly establishes the significance of sustainable development principles to prioritize environmental consciousness. In addition, there is a need for reformulation in Article 33 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution of Indonesia by adding wording or explanations. This would regulate the limitations of environmental exploitation for community prosperity and establish regulations for development without shifting agricultural land and food production.

Depuis que la FDA a publié, en 2004, l’initiative visant à promouvoir le développement et l’implantation de technologies d’analyses de procédé (PATs), de nombreux groupes de recherche ont prouvé qu’un suivi et un contrôle adéquat des procédés rendait possible la relâche des produits en temps réel, ouvrant ainsi la voie à la production en mode continu. Dans ce contexte, cette étude présente la conception de systèmes d’analyse et de contrôle en ligne visant à assurer, en temps réel, la qualité d’un produit pharmaceutique intermédiaire fabriqué en mode continu. Le produit visé est une solution d’enrobage pour comprimés pharmaceutiques, utilisée à des fins esthétiques et afin de protéger le comprimé de l’environnement, laquelle est préparée par mélange d’eau et de divers composants disponibles commercialement sous forme d’un pré-mélange de poudre. Les attributs critiques de qualités (CQAs) de la solution ont d’abord été identifiés grâce aux connaissances du produit et du procédé. Par la suite, un certain nombre d’outils d’analyse de procédé ont été évalués pour leur capacité à analyser et à suivre ces attributs en ligne. Les outils sélectionnés ont ensuite été intégrés à l’unité pilote de préparation de solution d’enrobage en continue (UPSEC), laquelle a été étudiée afin de déterminer les paramètres critiques du procédé (CPPs). Des relations mathématiques établies entre les CQAs et les CPPs sont au coeur du système de contrôle en ligne qui sera implanté sur l’unité pilote. Au final, cette étude devrait fournir une preuve de concept, pour l’industrie pharmaceutique, d’un système d’analyse et de contrôle en ligne de la qualité pour un produit ayant été préparé en mode continu.

L’assemblage des constituants sur la voiture est la principale activité d’une usine terminale automobile. Cette activité d’assemblage génère tout un ensemble de tâches indispensables au bon fonctionnement d’une usine terminale. Elle nécessite une gestion performante des flux internes d’approvisionnements et notamment l’acheminement des pièces des zones de stockage en usine vers le bord de ligne où elles seront montées sur les véhicules. L’objectif de cette thèse CIFRE est de créer des outils d’aide à la décision pour l’équilibrage logistique. Nous avons ainsi modélisé l’activité d’un opérateur logistique pris indépendamment des autres opérateurs, simulé les déplacements des opérateurs dans les allées d’un atelier de montage, mis en place des indicateurs de performances pour évaluer la faisabilité et la difficulté de tenir un poste logistique, évalué la perte de temps due à des encombrements dans les allées de l’atelier, et optimisé la répartition des références entre les différents opérateurs logistiques engagés. Nous sommes capables, grâce à la simulation de prédire quelles seront les performances d’un équilibrage logistique donné, et plus précisément les postes à problèmes avant la mise en place de ce dernier sur le terrain. Nous avons aussi développé un outil d’optimisation permettant la création automatique d’un équilibrage logistique<br>The assembly of the components on the car is the main activity of an automobile final factory. This activity of assembly generates a whole of essential tasks to the good performance of a final factory. It requires a powerful management of internal flows of supplies and in particular the routing of the parts from the warehouse toward the line where they will be assembled on the vehicles. The transport of these parts is ensured by logistic manpower. A crucial point of the internal logistics is the logistic balancing, that is the affectation between the logistic operators of the references to be delivered to the assembly line. The objective of this thesis is to create tools of decision-making aid for logistic balancing. We modelled the activity of a logistic operator taken independently of the other operators, simulated displacements of the operators in the alleys of an assembly workshop, proposed indicators of performances to evaluate the feasibility and the difficulty in holding a logistic station, evaluated the waste of time due to obstructions in the alleys of the workshop, and optimized the distribution of the references between the various logistic operators. We are able thanks to simulation to predict the performances of a given logistic balancing, and more precisely which will be the logistic stations with problems before the installation of this one in the workshop. We also provided an optimization tool which helps the person in charge of the logistic manpower to establish its balancing automaticaly

Lors de la phase de conception d'un système de production, toutes les alternatives fonctionnelles et technologiques doivent être étudiées afin de proposer la ou les meilleures solutions possibles. Ceci se traduit souvent par une conjugaison de plusieurs sous-problèmes tels que: la sélection de pièces d'équipements à partir d'un ensemble de solutions candidates pour chaque opération de fabrication; l'équilibrage et le dimensionnement des postes de travail; le dimensionnement des zones de stockage; le dimensionnement des systèmes de transport et l'aménagement des emplacements.Dans ce contexte, nous nous sommes intéressés à l’évaluation des performances ainsi qu’à l’optimisation de la conception d’un système de production très répandus dans l'industrie manufacturière à gros volume à savoir les lignes de production en série.Nous avons proposé une nouvelle méthode analytique d’évaluation de performances dite « Méthodes par Machines Equivalentes ». Cette méthode présente les avantages d'être plus précise et plus rapide que les approches existantes dans la littérature. Nous avons aussi montré la pertinence de cette méthode pour l’évaluation du taux de production des systèmes en configuration séries-parallèles ainsi que les lignes avec des machines ayant plusieurs modes de défaillance. Nous avons aussi développé un nouvel algorithme de programmation non linéaire afin d’optimiser le dimensionnement des stocks intermédiaires<br>During the design phase of a production system, all functional and technological alternatives should be explored in order to propose the best possible solutions. This often results in a combination of several sub-problems such as: selection of pieces of equipments from a set of candidate solutions for each manufacturing operation, dimensioning and allocation of buffers and storage areas, balancing workload among the different workstations, the specification of the type and capacity of the material handling system and the layout of equipments which consists of determining which workstations should be adjacent to each other and how they should be connected.In this context, we were interested in performance evaluation and optimization of serial production lines which are very common in high volume production systems.We have proposed a new analytical method, known as « Equivalent Machines Method» to evaluate the production line throughput. This method has the advantages to be more accurate and faster than the existing approaches in the literature.We have also established the relevance of this method for evaluating the production rate of series-parallel systems and other serial lines with machines having multiple failure modes.We have also developed a new algorithm based on nonlinear programming approach to solve the buffer allocation problem

Avoir une base solide en entreprises industrielles est très important parce qu’elles poussent et stimulent tous les autres secteurs de l'économie, et offrent également une grande variété d'emplois qui apporte des bonnes conditions de vie dans de nombreux secteurs de la société. L’augmentation de la concurrence mondiale, l’évolution rapide du marché, la nécessité de créer des entreprises stables avec des usines rentables obligent la mise en oeuvre d’une démarche globale prenant en compte à la fois les aspects techniques, économiques, logistiques et sociétaux lors de la conception d’un système de production innovant. L’objectif de cette thèse est de contribuer au développement d’un concept innovant de Systèmes de Production Reconfigurables et Agiles (SPRA) permettant de s'adapter rapidement et efficacement aux exigences imposées du marché, des clients, de la technologie des procédés, de l’environnement et de la société afin que l’entreprise soit dynamique, compétitive et rentable. Dans ces travaux de thèse, la proposition d'un modèle générique et la caractérisation de ce nouveau type de système de production ont été décrits en utilisant le langage de modélisation des systèmes complexes (SysML : Systems Modeling Language). Ensuite, nous avons développé un processus de reconfiguration qui représente une démarche à suivre pour concevoir et implanter une nouvelle configuration. De plus, un pilotage opérationnel adapté au SPRA a été introduit. Having a strong manufacturing base is very important because it impels and stimulates all the other sectors of the economy. It provides a wide variety of job, which bring higher standards of living to many sectors of society, and builds a strong middle class. Increasing global competition, rapid changes in the marketplace and the need to create stable companies with profitable plants require the implementation of a global approach, taking into account technical, economic, logistic and societal aspects in the design of an innovative manufacturing system. The aim of this dissertation is to contribute to the development of an innovative concept of Reconfigurable and Agile Manufacturing Systems (RAMS) to adapt quickly and effectively to the requirements imposed by markets, customers, technology processes, the environment and society, to ensure that the enterprise is dynamic, competitive and profitable. In this thesis work, the characterization and proposal of a generic model for this new type of manufacturing system have been described using the language of complex systems modeling (SysML: Systems Modeling Language). We have developed a reconfiguration process that represents the approach to follow in the design and implementation of a new configuration. In addition, the operational control of a RAMS has been introduced. Dans l’industrie automobile compétitive, l’optimisation des lignes de production est essentielle pour améliorer l’efficacité et la rentabilité. Cette thèse propose une solution complète développée en collaboration avec un acteur majeur du secteur automobile, s’attaquant à trois défis principaux : la planification des séquences d’assemblage, l’équilibrage des ressources et l’évaluation dynamique des performances. La première solution optimise les séquences d’assemblage pour minimiser l’utilisation des ressources et les coûts de production en utilisant l’apprentissage par renforcement et le regroupement hiérarchique. La deuxième solution traite de l’équilibrage des lignes d’assemblage en utilisant des algorithmes métaheuristiques pour réduire le temps de cycle sans augmenter les ressources. La troisième solution améliore les performances dynamiques des lignes de production en cas d’événements stochastiques, tels que les pannes et les retards, grâce à la gestion des stocks et aux stratégies de contrôle optimal. Chaque solution a été validée dans des environnements industriels réels, démontrant des améliorations significatives en termes d’efficacité et de performance des lignes de production<br>In the competitive automotive industry, optimizing production lines is crucial for enhancing efficiency and profitability. This thesis presents a comprehensive solution developed in collaboration with a leading automotive company, tackling three key challenges: assembly sequence planning, resource balancing, and dynamic performance evaluation. The first solution optimizes assembly sequences to minimize resource usage and production costs using reinforcement learning and hierarchical clustering. A la critique du système classique de production de la ville fait écho le succès de la notion de « logique de projet ». Elle dessine un nouveau modèle d'action fondé sur l'idée de coproduction de la ville. Ce modèle appelle un renouvellement des pratiques dans les phases amont des projets. L'accent est mis, d'une part, sur la capacité à rompre avec des catalogues prédéfinis de besoins et de solutions ; d'autre part, sur le caractère collectif de la définition des projets. L'activité d'élaboration devient donc essentielle et le pilotage des phases amont passe sur le devant de la scène. Pour autant, l'activité d'élaboration et les phases amont sont mal connues, alors même que la capacité à piloter une activité dépend de la compréhension que l'on a de cette activité. Dans cette perspective, ce travail explore l'activité d'élaboration dans le cas des projets d'aménagement urbain. A l'issue de l'examen de deux études de cas, la ligne B du tramway strasbourgeois et Odysseum à Montpellier, deux types de résultats sont proposés. D'abord, une modélisation de l'activité de projet dans l'aménagement urbain. Ce modèle, construit sur la notion de « situation de projet », structure un cadre conceptuel qui vise à dépasser l'indétermination des processus d'élaboration. Ensuite, les modalités de pilotage sont formalisées autour de trois dimensions : les logiques d'action qui sous-tendent les modes de pilotage ; la direction de projet ; le pilotage politique du projet. Ces enseignements permettent, par ailleurs, de faire retour sur les questions relatives au projet urbain, à la coproduction et à l'innovation urbaine.

Le problème abordé par ce travail de recherche est la conception d'équipements destinés à être intégrées dans des unités de productions sûres de fonctionnement. Les méthodologies de conception de produits existent et développent des approches souvent inspirées de l'Ingénierie Concourante (ou Simultanée). Une entreprise qui désire s'équiper de nouveaux équipements ne peut s'en contenter. Le besoin qui conditionne le développement d'un produit de grande consommation et d'un équipement industriel destiné à produire à son tour, est différent. Les particularités propres à la conception sont mises en exergue par une étude du fonctionnement des unités de production axé notamment sur l'organisation (la Total Productive Maintenance est l'exemple développé) et la maintenance (la Maintenance Basée sur la Fiabilité est développée). Une méthodologie de conception des équipements industriels destinée aux unités de production, et plus particulièrement aux PME, est proposée. Inspirée du Soutien Logistique Intégré, elle en reprend certaines caractéristiques (comme le développement parallèle de l'équipement et du soutien), cette nouvelle méthodologie se superpose aisément, et à tous les stades, aux démarches habituelles. L'un des points clefs de toute méthodologie de conception est l'optimisation performance/coût. Aussi un outil de décomposition de la performance en fonction de critères de conception est proposé pour permettre cette optimisation. Le travail présenté dans cette thèse concerne la formulation et la résolution de deux problèmes d'optimisation multi-objectifs. Ces problèmes de décision, liés à une approche holistique, ont pour but de sélectionner la meilleure configuration « produit/ligne d’assemblage » à partir d'un ensemble de design produits, et de ressources. Concernant le premier problème, un modèle de coût a été développé afin de traduire les interdépendances complexes entre la sélection d’un design produit et les caractéristiques des ressources. Une étude empirique est proposée et vise à comparer, selon plusieurs indicateurs de qualité multi-objectifs, différentes méthodes de résolution - comprenant des algorithmes génétiques, de colonies de fourmis, d’optimisation par essaims particulaires, des chauves-souris, de recherche du coucou et de pollinisation des fleurs. Plusieurs règles de dominance et une recherche locale spécifique au problème ont été appliquées aux méthodes de résolution les plus prometteuses. Concernant le second problème, qui se penche également sur le dimensionnement des stocks tampons, les méthodes de résolution sont à un modèle de simulation à événements discrets, dont la fonction première est l’évaluation des valeurs des différentes fonctions objectives. L’approche holistique associée aux deux problèmes a été validée avec deux cas industriels<br>The work presented in this thesis concerns the formulation and the resolution of two holistic multi-objective optimization problems associated with the selection of the best product and hybrid assembly line configuration out of a set of products, processes and resources alternatives. Regarding the first problem, a cost model was developed in order to translate the complex interdependencies between the selection of specific product designs, processes and resources characteristics. An empirical study is proposed, which aimed at comparing, according to several multi-objective quality indicators, various resolution methods – including variants of evolutionary algorithms, ant colony optimization, particle swarm optimization, bat algorithms, cuckoo search algorithms, and flower-pollination algorithms. Several dominance rules and a problem-specific local search were applied to the most promising resolution methods. Regarding the second problem, which also considers the buffer sizing, the developed algorithms were enhanced with a genetic discrete-event simulation model, whose primary function is to evaluate the value of the various objective functions. Après une rapide présentation des systèmes d'assemblage et des différentes représentations des processus d'assemblage, ce travail de recherche présente plus précisément trois grands types de modélisation : les graphes d'assemblage, les graphes de précédence et les ASTD. Les graphes de précédence étant très utilisés avec les méthodes d'équilibrage ou de conception des lignes d'assemblage, l'objectif de ce travail est de proposer une méthode de génération des graphes de précédence simple et efficace à partir d'un ensemble de graphes d'assemblage préalablement établis. Deux méthodes de génération de graphe de précédence sont proposées dans ce travail : une par transformation de graphes et une directement basée sur la logique booléenne. La méthode par transformation de graphes permet d'obtenir un graphe de précédence si l'ensemble des séquences d'enchaînement peut être représenté par un unique graphe de précédence. Dans le cas contraire, avec les améliorations apportées à la méthode, il est possible d'obtenir soit un ensemble de graphes de précédence soit un hypergraphe de précédence. La deuxième de ces méthodes permet d'obtenir directement un ensembl e de graphes de précédence ou d'hypergraphes de précédence selon le niveau de complexité du problème. Un calcul des complexités des algorithmes respectifs montre qu'ils sont polynomiaux.

If Moorcroft is rarely considered in books on twentieth-century pottery, it is largely because he falls outside the categories of ‘studio potter’ or ‘ceramic designer’ as commonly conceived. It is significant that he was described in one obituary as a ‘post-Morrisite’. If Morris’s legacy was being sensed both in industrial modernism (by Pevsner) and in the revival of craft (by Leach), Moorcroft was seen by some as another variant on that legacy, bringing together individualised craft and serial production in ways which even Morris did not achieve, and creating well-designed, hand-made objects for more than a privileged few. Although he was clearly not responsible for all aspects of production (like the single craftsman), his practice of divided labour, in which he himself was actively involved as both designer and chemist, brought pottery closer to a performance art than a production line. Design for Moorcroft was not a rigid template, but open to his own (frequent) modifications in line or colour, just as each enactment was subject to the inevitable variations of ware made by hand and fired in a kiln; each piece was individual, and none definitive. Moorcroft is characterised by his individuality, not just because his practice was different, but because his pottery was personal. His designs, so often singled out for their harmony of form, ornament and colour were the conception of a single mind, informed by a potter’s skill – which is why some described him at the time as a studio potter. But they were informed, too, by his sense of vocation. His writings, both private and published, reveal that he did not aspire to be a pioneer, but simply to be himself, and to share with others his sensitivity to the beauty of the natural world. This is the source of the expressiveness, authenticity or ‘soulfulness’ so often identified in his work, and which make of it, as one contemporary noted, ‘no ordinary pottery’.

It distils key messages in regard to how to understand, assess and take action on transformative change. Implications for science, policy and practice, as well as interfaces between them, are drawn out to address the following questions: (1) what is transformative change? (2) how do we know if we are moving towards a sustainable society? and (3) what are challenges, opportunities and “seeds of change” in the SEPLS context to bring about transformative change? The chapter concludes with five common principles identified across the case studies, while revising the notion of transformative change to reconceptualise it as a radical change that is built on niche innovations of local initiatives and can be fostered through adaptive co-management in the SEPLS context.

It is based in mass production and more homogeneous products; in control of timing and movements with the chronometer and serial production; in a strong separation between conception and execution in the labour process; and in the making of the mass-worker. Differently, Toyotism is based on a flexible production process, in which one worker operates several machines (the “polyvalence” or “multifunctional” labour) – a change that had vast consequences to the working class. Capitalism, in any of its variations, is incapable of eliminating alienation: while in Taylorism-fordism this alienation has a more despotic form, in Toyotism it becomes more internalized by the approach of manipulatory involvement.

La réflexion sur le style comme expression spirituelle de l’art d’écrire développée en Allemagne à la fin du xviiie siècle, à laquelle renvoie le terme Stilistik, a été dévoyée en français sous la dénomination trompeuse de stylistique, qui – faux-ami – accrédite une conception matérialiste de l’application de procédés rhétoriques et grammaticaux. L’objectif du présent article est de montrer pourquoi et comment cette consciente méprise initiale a engendré au sein même de l’Université française des dernières décennies une seconde équivoque plus insidieuse au sujet de l’objet du style. Les travaux de Spitzer, Bally, Bruneau, Cressot, Riffaterre, Eco, Molinié, Bordas, Macé, montrent la nécessité de distinguer entre étude(s) de style et stylistique, mais cette dernière, devenue épreuve imposée des concours de recrutement de l’enseignement secondaire, a vu se démultiplier la publication d’innombrables manuels d’application aux fondements théoriques – grammaticaux, rhétoriques, linguistiques – largement hétérogènes. Ces ouvrages, que justifie la nécessité d’occuper une place du marché éditorial, ne concourent guère à l’approfondissement épistémique du style, notion susceptible de s’appliquer – hors de l’écriture – à bien des secteurs des activités humaines et des pratiques artistiques, mais manifestent l’existence d’un réseau d’intérêts pratiques et économiques dont la recherche ne tire malheureusement aucun bénéfice.

In order to enhance the performance of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) hydrogen production or fuel cell, optimizing of water flow distribution between channels is a necessary and effective way. To achieve this, 3D numerical simulations of the water flow along bipolar plate were performed. One baseline design and other five types of modified bipolar plates were investigated, which are under one design conception with gradually increasing contact angles to the header axle. The simulation showed that the high velocity appears at the lateral channels and the most promising velocity distribution, in this design, appears at the last case, which has the largest contact angle with header line.

Our approach for the proposed paper involves a comprehensive review of the "Enhancing Well Efficiency " program within the context of the Buzios oil field development. We'll focus on detailing the key methodologies employed to incorporate innovative technologies. We'll analyze the achieved milestones, presenting both qualitative and quantitative results to demonstrate the program's impact on reducing well construction costs and improving equipment reliability. Additionally, we'll discuss the broader implications of the program for Petrobras, the oil industry, and future offshore well construction projects. The results of the paper highlight the remarkable achievements of the "Enhancing Well Efficiency " Program in the development of the Buzios oil field. The program successfully incorporated cutting-edge technologies, resulting in a substantial reduction of well construction costs, in line with the ambitious 30% target. Equipment reliability improved significantly, leading to more efficient reservoir management, and positioning Petrobras as a leader in offshore well construction. Abstract:
The new scenario of oil exploration in ultra deep water moves forward to 3000 m, has been putting for the companies that accept this technological challenger significant, border of the techno-scientific knowledge. Therefore, nowadays in this case of ultra deep waters, where the forces above the mooring lines are increase and the use of the new material in Petrobras Floating Production Units, it is necessary the good numerical analyses and experimental test by the mooring line. It appears the need to look for a solution for the problems according to the changes of the polyester rope in the production platform without the bottom extension change and its foundation (fixed point). According to this challenge it was necessary to develop a remote connection and disconnection device. This device is the KS hook and its optimization has been created using the fracture mechanical conception optics and computers tools (FEM and mooring software). There are two conditions to develop this device: one condition is functional and the other is structural. For the functional condition, it’s necessary to create the facilities for handling and installations. For the structural conditions, it is necessary to use the special wrought steel material, treatment for steel characteristic and right geometry. Finite Elements Modeling analyze used the Ansys software, considered the hardness profile material for Minimum Break Load (MBL). The lifetime design is about 25 years for this case and the fatigue analysis considered the residual stress and plasticity for structural device. Previous simulation is especially important in predicting behavior and in the development of new design products before testing. The model was meshed with 3D first order tetrahedral elements solid45. The mesh was sufficiently fine to ensure minimal loss of accuracy in curved geometry. There isn’t a TN fatigue curve (reference API Fatigue curves) for this KS Hook device geometry, in this case become necessary to use the model test to obtain this curve with the extrapolation of the results. The Finite Elements Modeling analyze used with the Material SN Fatigue curve will be used for this validation. Previous simulation is especially important in predicting behavior and in the development of new design products before testing.

Abstract:
La peinture est l’œuvre d’une instance de l’énonciation, le peintre, qui inscrit son geste sur une surface d’inscription, la toile. Elle est le résultat d’une mise en forme, d’un faire artistique, relevant d’une compétence technique gestuelle, mais également d’un savoir- comment-faire, relevant d’une compétence cognitive. Quand la mise en peinture technique d’un simple cercle est le résultat d’un faire maîtrisé  une figure décrite par toute ligne dont une extrémité est fixe, et l’autre, mobile (définition générique)  son savoir-comment-faire suppose une connaissance – le cercle comme lieu des points situés à égale distance d’un point nommé centre (définition spécifique) – qui guide et structure le geste technique. Si l’on applique ces considérations à la construction de la perspective, on sera amené à considérer celle-ci comme la mise en application d’une compétence cognitive spécifique. A travers un tableau d’Auguste Aridas (1848-1929, peintre et professeur de dessin à Limoges pendant de longues années), représentant un véritable cours sur la mise en perspective, tant au niveau énonciatif qu’au niveau énoncif, nous essaierons de mettre au clair le fonctionnement sémiotique de la perspective comme « dispositif d’énonciation paradigmatique » (Damisch).
