Full textThis study was born out of feminist concern about gender-based violence, poverty and asymmetries of political pressure on societies. The relationship between art and society is a fact that permeates contemporary artistic reality, with special vindication in feminism, which has been pointing out other differential ethical values, an example of which would be: solidarity, as a motor of change in its objective of denouncing and repairing. This investigation began with the belief that art can do something for society and with the concern that art can do nothing. The question of “Does art save us from anything” leads to a long reexamination whose answers are threaded through proposals and productions that created debates on feminism, both in the Korean and European context. Consequently, this study concentrates on what kind of attitude and particular position the artists had and have. To this end, a series of examples are presented in which the artistic process becomes the result of a work of art by demonstrating the very politics that the artist develops as an art worker, instead of giving priority to a political ideological attitude for the production of the work. In other words, we examine that the politics of artists is not the only one that can make art, and this observation assumes that it offers the freedom to broaden the concept of an artist’s identity and how to be an artist today. At the same time, it refers to the process of showing and rethinking the boundaries in art, specifically the boundary between art as practice and the role of artists in the society we live in. In conclusion, the study of “Betweenness” is a reflection on the political role of artists from not only feminist but also female perspectives. The discourse is structured by six works that create questions and open a debate about feminism among themselves and outside of them, and allow us to think about how the politics of life becomes art.

Full textA large part of the countries of Latin America have experienced a strong increase in tax resources, there is still resistance from small taxpayers to the payment of taxes. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship of the commitment and social norms in the intention of tax compliance due to the constant changes in tax laws of the current Ecuadorian government that affect tax compliance. Tax noncompliance is a problem that affects the principle of revenue sufficiency and equity, causing countries to slow their economic growth and as a result the inaccessibility of public services. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design and correlation scope, based on theories that allowed identifying the social commitment and norm as an independent variable and as an intention dependent, using a random sample of the micro-enterprises that reside in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. The results show that there is a significant relationship between the commitment and the intention of tax compliance, and on the other hand that there is no significant. The relationship between the social norm and the intention of tax compliance, demonstrating that the economic sector moderates the relationship between commitment and intent of tax compliance, there being a stronger relationship between these variables for the Services sector. It is recommended for future research to make a longitudinal design and expand it to different cities, regions or countries considering other factors such as cultural, location of signatures, perception and characteristics of the administrators of the firms.

Full textIn this research, I apply several alternative methods previously used in the literature to measure the degree of regulatory independence for telecommunications regulators. These alternative methods are applied to a new homogeneous data set for 23 Latin American and Caribbean countries over a 15 year period. I provide a metric to quantify the degree to which each country creates legally independent regulatory agencies in telecommunications. All the methods used provide similar results. Later, I construct a realistic index of regulatory independence, which improves upon the measures of independence that have been used so far in the empirical regulation literature. I focus on the degree to which governments are able to commit to preserve regulator independence. I combine this information with data on legal independence to construct indices of regulator independence that are more realistic than those used by the existing literature. I show that legal indices may give a partially distorted picture of the commitment ability of institutions and of the impact of independence on network penetration. Econometric results confirm that regulator independence has a positive impact on telecommunications performance, but purely legal indices appear to under-estimate this impact.

Aplicación de un modelo global de auditoría de Relaciones Públicas a la sociedad municipal 22@ del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona” se centra, en primer lugar, en elaborar una síntesis de las diversas aportaciones sobre el marco conceptual de la auditoría de Relaciones Públicas, es decir, de qué teorías se desprende este instrumento de investigación; su origen y su evolución histórica; las variables que se miden en una auditoría de Relaciones Públicas; las definiciones y los tipos de auditorías en este ámbito; y los diversos modelos de medición citados por los autores que han tratado este asunto en sus respectivas obras, y en qué teorías se han inspirado. Toda esta labor con el único objetivo de obtener evidencias que pudieran responder a la pregunta que se formula al inicio del trabajo ¿de qué forma se puede justificar la actuación de las Relaciones Públicas? y, a su vez, contrastar con la hipótesis que se plantea conforme si es posible medir la actuación de Relaciones Públicas se podrán obtener los argumentos para justificar esta actividad. Una de las principales conclusiones de esta tesis ha sido que lo que se debe medir exactamente es la calidad de la relación que estimula la actividad de las Relaciones Públicas entre una organización y sus públicos, puesto que se confirma que éste es el cometido de la disciplina. Y que los tres conceptos más estudiados en las diversas contribuciones sobre la medición de la actividad de Relaciones Públicas centrados en la calidad de la relación son: la medición del grado de confianza que coexiste; el nivel de entendimiento entre actores; y la satisfacción recíproca de las partes implicadas con la relación que se establece. Con esta y otras conclusiones complementarias, en segundo lugar, la tesis propone un modelo hipotético de auditoría global de Relaciones Públicas, que compila toda la documentación estudiada y que presenta la base de la investigación empírica de esta tesis doctoral. Consecuentemente, si en primera instancia esta tesis ha querido constituirse en una primera aproximación al estado de la cuestión de las auditorías de Relaciones Públicas, contrastar el modelo hipotético ha querido ser el motivo del trabajo empírico de la tesis. El ejercicio exploratorio ha consistido en aplicar el modelo propuesto como hipótesis del trabajo y ha procurado detectar y exponer los puntos débiles del modelo, pero también destacar su grado de validez. Para llevar a cabo esta labor, se ha estudiado la calidad de las relaciones, medida por razón de las variables cognitivas más estudiadas en las diversas contribuciones sobre la medición de la actividad de Relaciones Públicas -la confianza, el acuerdo o entendimiento mutuo y la satisfacción-, entre la sociedad municipal 22@ del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona y el colectivo de empresas que forman el clúster TIC del barrio de Poblenou de Barcelona. Las conclusiones de esta tesis doctoral ilustran hasta qué punto el modelo puede ser una fuente de la que fluyan los argumentos que validan una actuación de Relaciones Públicas, y la información estratégica que aporta para perfeccionar la médula de un plan de Relaciones Públicas específicamente, y de comunicación en general.
The principal objective of this work is to explore and elaborate and synthesize the diverse contributions to Public Relations auditing as a theoretical framework. Which theories does this investigative instrument arise from? What is its origin and historical evolution? What are the variables that are measured in a Public Relations audit? What are the various definitions and the typology of audits in this particular domain? Which variations of different assessment models have been cited by scholars who have explored these issues in their studies, and which previous theoretical models have inspired them? This study has been conducted with the exclusive goal to gather data that may help respond to the questions posed at the outset of this work: In what way can one justify the pursuit of Public Relations activity, and –in accordance with our main hypothesis– is it possible to measure Public Relations’ effectiveness in order to obtain arguments that validate Public Relations as a professional occupation. One of the main conclusions of this thesis has been that the variable that should be precisely measured is the quality of the relationship that stimulates Public Relations activity between an organization and its various audiences since it has been ascertained that this is the main mission of the discipline. Furthermore it has become apparent that the three most intensely studied areas among the various theoretic contributions to measuring the quality of relationships in Public relations are: measuring the degree of mutual trust, measuring the degree of understanding between the stakeholders, and measuring the degree of reciprocated satisfaction on the part of the various agents involved with respect to the rapport established between them. Secondly, this study submits a hypothetical model of global auditing in Public Relations which compiles all the data and material perused in the course of this investigation, and which represents the foundation of the empirical analysis. Thus, one the one hand this study has striven to provide a state of the question regarding the various approaches to the practice of Public Relations auditing, and on the other hand it has endeavored to put to the test the hypothetical model in an empirical analysis. This exercise has turned out useful in detecting and bringing to light the model's flaws, but at the same time it has served to showcase the validity of the approach. In order to carry out this task, we have scrutinized the quality of the rapport between the various agents involved in this PR activity with special focus on the cognitive variables that have receive the most scholarly attention in the discipline: trust, mutual understanding, and satisfaction. In the case at hand, the stakeholders were the Municipal Society 22@, the Barcelona City Council, and the group of companies that form the TIC cluster in the Poblenou neighborhood in Barcelona. The conclusions that were reached clearly illustrate to which degree this model can provide a focal point from which various arguments may arise that lend validity to a particular Public Relations venture. A second outcome leads to the conclusion that the theoretical model here submitted helps to perfect the core elements of Public Relations activity in particular and communication in general.

Full text"This study is part of the recovery Project of a huge amount of female artists who were forgotten by History. This dissertation intends to light up the life and ideas of the writer and photographer Claude Cahun who, like the majority of female artists, was dramatically covered by the darkness. This research focuses on two main questions: her political compromise and her questioning of the notion of Identity. The approach will be carried out based on her writings so as to complete, guide and perhaps question the opinions held until today. The dissertation could be divided into four sections. The first phase of the project involves an analysis of the relationship between the Surrealist movement and the women who took active part in it. It will lead us to analyse the reasons why they were kept in the shadow. The second will show the specific characteristics of the author according to the movement and to the women who participated in it. It will involve a particular study of her historical erasure. The third will study the development of the political compromise of the surrealist avant-garde and Claude Cahun. The fourth phase will analyse the theory of multiple identities suggested by the author, so closely connected to postmodern feminist theories, and her novel perspective of some biblical and folklore female characters in her Héroïnes. "

Full textThe aim of this study is to find out the sense of coherence of nurses working in care homes in Girona and relate this to self-reported heath status, dispositional Optimism, work engagement and professional burnout. Descriptive and cross-sectional study. Sociodemographic, occupational and health variables were studied through a self-administered. The results show that 109 nurses participated. It is observed that nurses with the higher SOC scores have a better perception of their health, greater optimism, greater work engagement and personal accomplishment, and less Emotional Exhaustion and Depersonalisation on the professional burnout. The conclusions suggest that nurses working in care homes in Girona have a high sense of coherence. Emotional exhaustion of the nurses negatively associates with SOC, less emotional exhaustion with greater SOC. Sense of coherence and work engagement seem to explain part of the absence of emotional exhaustion in the nurses.

Full textThe world around us has growing increasingly complex, with alarming imbalances indeed, ours is a world of great inequality and inconsistency. Paradoxically, as the world becomes a greater whole, it sometimes appears to be shrinking. Globalization and interdependence among societies are today the general trend. Globalization is at once obvious, subconscious and omnipresent (Morin, 1999). It is also multifaceted, and should therefore be seen as a dynamic, heterogeneous process, rather than as a single reality. For some, globalization has brought benefits and opened new paths; for others, it has meant the loss of leadership and autonomy, as well as the social fragmentation of the world, in the service of the global economy.
The world should be different from what it is. We are responsible for constructing aviable future for coming generations. Democracy, equity, social justice, peace, harmony and environmental conservation are important issues that require a positive transformation.
Universities remain the most important institutions of higher education. They bring together that which has survived, that which is now living, and that which is still to come (Fuentes, 2002). These social institutions carry out strategic functions in cultural, scientific and technological development, as well as in projects of societal consolidation.
This new world we envision requires a new sort of university one which creatively reexamines its missions and functions, and which reinvents itself, if necessary, in order to meet the challenges of contemporary circumstances. Universities must continue to serve as places for reflection and creativity, and as the developers of tools for social analysis, critical reflection and sustainability.
At universities, new generations acquire theskills, knowledge and values that will all ow them to make good decisions throughout their lives. Logically, the educational content, the values and the abilities that students acquire must be in tune with society's new needs. Relevance should therefore be the main criterion used in determining whether higher education institutions are fulfilling their social function. Over the years, universities have been concerned about their relevance and their
ability to respond to society in general. As a result of this concern, social changes have had a considerable impact on higher education institutions. In evaluating the relevance of an institution, therefore, we must take into account its original characteristics, its diversity, its various missions and objectives, and its organization. This preliminary analysis makes it possible to link relevance to quality. Efforts to improve the quality of higher education such as accreditation systems must not fail to consider the criterion of relevance.
Quality is the result of a set of actions that respond to society's needs at a particular moment in time. Therefore, accreditation systems aimed at guaranteeing quality cannot conform to a single, universal model, or be based solely on theory and abstraction, or respond exclusively to market trends.
This thesis describes a system of qualitative criteria and indicators that take social commitment into account. This system is designed to be used in accreditation processes to guarantee the quality of higher education institutions.

Full textExiste la necesidad de desarrollar un clima adecuado en las empresas en el que los trabajadores se sientan seguros cuando tengan que asumir riesgos, proponer e implementar nuevas ideas, caso contrario el proceso de implementación de la innovación puede acabar fracasando (Baer y Frese, 2013). Cuando los trabajadores perciben un clima laboral de apoyo a la producción de innovaciones, un estilo de dirección que le estimula y unas prácticas de gestión que le animan a innovar, es logico pensar que dedicará más recursos a la generación, promoción y realización de innovaciones, de manera de que éstas resulten más efectivas ( Pons y Ramos, 2012) y se relaciona con uno de los objetivos del empoderamiento, que es proporcionar confianza a los trabajadores para generar una labor más activa y próposito en sus labores (Gonzales, Martínez, et. al). Por otra parte, si un trabajador se siente más satisfecho en su puesto de trabajo al tener un clima apropiado, es menos probable que desee abandonar su puesto de trabajo, por lo tanto se espera que se sienta más comprometido con la empresa logrando un compromiso organizativo (Perez, Vela y Abella, 2014). En este sentido esta investigación tiene como objeto proponer y validar un modelo que determine si los factores tales como empoderamiento de los trabajadores (EM) y la identificación de los trabajadores con los equipos de trabajo (ID) influyan en la generación de un clima de innovación en las empresas (CL) y como este clima de innovación (CL) genera un alto desempeño de los trabajadores (PF) y un alto compromiso organizativo de los trabajadores (AC).

Full textIn 1957, the State is the organiser of the public postal service in France through its central administration. That same year, a treaty was signed in Rome between six European States around the idea of a common market with a delegation of sovereignty. At first, the public postal service and the Europe of the Treaty of Rome develop separately. But in the early 1980s, the political, economic and technological context evolves and Europe decides to take an active interest in the matter of the postal service. After a phase of disinterest in postal matters, we enter in a phase of confrontation; Europe submits the postal service to the competition law: monopoly, the traditional organisation of the postal service, is challenged. Moreover, the French public postal service is transformed: La Poste, independent public operator is born. Following the period of confrontation, a period of dialogue follows, bringing together the Europe of the Treaty of Rome and the States members to write the postal law. Several guidelines are adopted, focused in particular on the universal postal service. By 2012, the process of liberalisation of the postal service is complete: there is no legal monopoly in Europe. This new openness is concomitant with the digital era. The postal service must now continue to adapt to this new ideological, technological and economical context: in its form – La Poste becomes a public limited company – as well as in its mission to serve the public interest, the raison d’être of the public service, so the public postal service is reconfigured

Full textEl comportamiento innovador surge como un concepto que permite el análisis de la participación activa de los empleados en el desarrollo de sus tareas. La definición de comportamiento innovador no tiene un consenso claro, pero hace referencia a la introducción intencional del empleado en la aplicación de nuevas ideas, productos, procesos y procedimientos en el rol de trabajo, en el puesto de trabajo o en la empresa (Yuan & Woodman, 2010). En la revisión de la literatura, se observó que el concepto compromiso de los empleados ha sido identificado como un elemento que fomenta la obtención de resultados positivos en la gestión de las empresas. En este sentido, se considera que el empleado que percibe el soporte de la organización responderá con niveles más altos de compromiso y se involucrará más en el proceso de gestión cuando su opinión es tomada en cuenta. En consecuencia, estas situaciones conducen a un mejor desempeño de las tareas y objetivos de las empresas. El análisis del compromiso de los empleados verifica el aprovechamiento que se puede hacer del trabajo o del rol de las personas dentro de la empresa. Asimismo, a través de la observación del comportamiento innovador se puede establecer cómo la persona aplica su grado de compromiso con el fin de hacer parte de los procesos de innovación. La interacción del comportamiento innovador y el compromiso de los empleados permite observar una combinación de características personales (aptitudes), psicológicas (motivación) y organizativas (estrategia) para comprender el progreso de la innovación dentro de la empresa y su relación con el recurso humano. Finalmente, las personas son las encargadas de crear e implementar las ideas durante el proceso de innovación. De acuerdo con lo anterior, surge la pregunta ¿Cuál es el rol del comportamiento innovador en la fase de elaboración/diseño del servicio? Por tanto, el objetivo de la investigación consiste en describir el comportamiento innovador en las tareas de diseño y/o elaboración del servicio, enfocado en el contexto de una empresa pequeña del sector servicios (comercio al detalle) de estructura y gobierno familiar, así como en el empleado encargado de realizar estas tareas, sobre quien coinciden también los roles de administrador y propietario. La investigación está diseñada bajo el enfoque de la metodología inductiva con datos cualitativos, a través de la estrategia del estudio de caso simple y la implementación de la teoría fundamentada como lógica del análisis. Con base en los parámetros de este enfoque, se elaboró una herramienta de exploración del comportamiento innovador en forma de cuestionario (guía del contenido de los métodos de recopilación de datos), teniendo en cuenta las escalas de medición utilizadas en estudios previos del comportamiento innovador, el compromiso de los empleados y la innovación. Igualmente, se aplicaron las dimensiones del estudio de la innovación en empresas del sector servicios: concepto del servicio, interacción con el cliente, sistema de gestión/suministro del servicio y tecnología, con el fin de agrupar los conceptos de las escalas de medición. El análisis de los datos se realizó mediante la categorización y subcategorización de la información obtenida (teoría fundamentada). Los resultados señalaron que la característica de la empresa como familiar condujo a una forma particular en la observación del fenómeno del comportamiento innovador y su relación con el compromiso de los empleados. En este sentido, la presencia del comportamiento innovador está influenciada por el compromiso bajo la forma de sentimientos de obligación e independencia (compromiso - gestión de la innovación) y de propiedad y pertenencia (compromiso - gestión de la empresa familiar).

Full textEn el presente estudio se pretende evaluar la relación entre los valores, la orientación motivacional, los motivos y el compromiso del entrenador y del nadador para practicar la natación. Se analizan dichas relaciones para establecer posibles valores y motivaciones que influyen en el compromiso que el nadador con discapacidad física federado establece con la práctica de este deporte. Para ello se estudian 77 nadadores y 23 entrenadores de 21 clubs de natación de territorio catalán y español, mediante la aplicación del cuestionario de valores CVS Schwartz (Schwartz y Bilsky, 1990) que recoge la puntuación de los valores que guian la vida; el cuestionario EMD (Pelletier y cols., 1995) que recoge los comportamientos y el tipo de motivación de los entrenadores y deportistas; el cuestionario MPAM-R (Ryan y cols., (1997) que evalúa los motivos por los cuales entrenadores y nadadores practican la natación; la versión española del Sport Questionaire –SCQ (Scanlan y cols., 1993) que mide el compromiso con el deporte de ambos colectivos y los factores que lo predicen; y el cuestionario de clima en el deporte, para evaluar la percepción de apoyo a la autonomía que tienen los nadadores respecto a sus entrenadores (Deci y Ryan, 1985). Los resultados muestran que el factor edad es un factor determinante en los intereses de nadadores y entrenadores. En cuanto a los nadadores, están más centrados en aspectos sociales (en el grupo de iguales) y los entrenadores están más centrados en el aspecto laboral (en crecer profesionalmente). Se identifican valores comunes entre los dos grupos como: autonomía, salud y trabajo personal. La motivación de los entrenadores está más orientada a conocer y la de los nadadores a conseguir cosas y a experimentar. El compromiso se produce cuando los nadadores obtienen diversión con lo que hacen y cuando el entrenador les da autonomía para hacerlo.
The present study aims to evaluate the relationship between values, motivational orientation, motives and the commitment of the trainer and the swimmer to practice swimming. These relationships are analyzed to establish possible values and motivations that influence the commitment that the swimmer with physical disability establishes with the practice of this sport. To do this, 77 swimmers and 23 coaches from 21 swimming clubs in Catalan and Spanish territory are studied by applying the CVS Schwartz values questionnaire (Schwartz and Bilsky, 1990), which collects the values that guide life; The EMD questionnaire (Pelletier y cols., 1995) that reflects the behavior and type of motivation of coaches and athletes; The MPAM-R questionnaire (Ryan y cols., 1997), which evaluates the reasons why coaches and swimmers practice swimming, the Spanish version of the Sport Questionaire-SCQ (Scanlan y cols., Both collectives and predictors, and the sport climate questionnaire, to assess the perception of support for the autonomy that swimmers have over their coaches (Deci and Ryan, 1985). The results show that the age factor is a determining factor in the interests of swimmers and coaches. As for the swimmers, they are more socially focused (in the peer group) and the coaches are more focused on the work aspect (on growing professionally). Common values are identified between the two groups as autonomy, health and personal work. The motivation of the coaches is more oriented to know and the one of the swimmers to get things and to experiment. Commitment occurs when swimmers get amused by what they do and when the coach gives them autonomy to do so.

El presente proyecto se orienta desde una perspectiva de investigación-acción con el fin de desarrollar un plan de medidas conducentes a fomentar el compromiso organizacional en las diferentes generaciones que conviven hoy en una organización del sector de innovación tecnológica. Para ello, se establecieron las diferencias existentes entre el nivel de compromiso organizacional de cada una de las generaciones, a partir de la aplicación del Cuestionario de Meyer y Allen. La realización de entrevistas permitió determinar qué factores son determinantes a la hora de fomentar el compromiso organizacional.

Full textIn our research we start from the recognition of a current social problem in the Maule Region, which is the migration of young people, problem that is connected to the geographic education and that is why we look for evidence to confirm the assumptions of this thesis, which are based on the negative thought teachers have regarding rurality. This research is also proactive as it tries to state a solution to this problem through the generation and proposal of a formative (or training) model for practicing teachers, that has been called, network of teachers committed to rurality. This model bases its didactic action in the operation through a network, supported by the theoretical and practical contributions of the case method and the Learning Service approach. This research is qualitative and used the following analytical instruments; questionnaire, in-depth interviews, focus group and analysis of existing school text books valid for 2013. Such instruments were applied to a sample of teachers in the region. Finally, we can add that the results that were obtained in this thesis confirm the negative bias of rurality present in teachers from the Maule Region.

In the context of rural communities in the Haute Matsiatra region it has been seen how legal principles of the Malagasy State Law and legal principles of the local vindictive legal culture are juxtaposed in local practices of conflict resolution, especially in cases of cattle theft and territorial disputes, sometimes quite articulate and some others more conflictive. The dina, law based in the local legal practices, has been taken up by the Malagasy State as an own legal resource presenting a conflictive juxtaposition. The research developed in this thesis is built around three pillars: First, the articulation of different legal cultures. Second, the social aspect of the law. Third, the political uses of local practices.
