Abstract:
Phylogenetic methodology has always attracted more than its share of controversy, so I expected critical responses to my 1999 piece on the evolutionary implications of character-taxon matrices. In that piece, I argued that the topology of a clade, as inferred from cladistic parsimony analysis of a rectangular matrix of characters and taxa, is influenced by all the taxa considered, including those that fall outside the clade in question. The inferred pattern of branching in the clade is therefore statistically influenced by and dependent on the inferred evolutionary pattern among the other taxa. This dependence is at odds with the principle that, once sister-groups of eukaryotes have diverged, their subsequent pathways of evolution are independent of each other. I also suggested that, along with evidence from ontogeny, times of appearance of taxa as inferred from stratigraphic data be allowed to influence interpretations of which characters are primitive and which are derived.

Abstract:
Even though Runge-Kutta (RK) method is the most used by scientists and engineers, it is not the most powerful method. In this paper, a comparative study between Piecewise Analytic Method (PAM) and RK methods is achieved. The result of comparative study shows that PAM is more powerful and gives results better than RK Methods. PAM can be considered as a new step in the evolution of solving nonlinear differential equations.

Abstract:
Traditional comparative criminology has predominantly focused on the comparison of isolated and self-contained cultures and arrangements. However, globalisation has altered states of isolation and self-containment to produce spheres of interrelation. That provides a challenge to the comparative method. This article will argue that comparative criminology needs to come to terms with novel objects in new conceptual and organisational layers, both above the state and below the city. Such enquiry requires agility. Rather than identifying and crossing new frontiers, globalised comparative criminology should concern itself with the complex interplay between global, national, city and subcity levels. This approach is illustrated by an examination of contrasts in community safety between the rival Dutch cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Abstract:
AbstractWhile in some disciplines the comparative method is used unhesitatingly, in others it is spurned. In the field of religious studies, the method has long been rejected, and that rejection far antedates the anti-comparativist stance of postmodernism. This article identifies the main objections commonly lodged against the method and attempts to refute them all - as mischaracterizations either of the method or of the quest for knowledge itself. The article then considers the use of the method by the two figures in religious studies still singled out as the most egregious practitioners of it: James Frazer and William Robertson Smith. In actuality, not even they turn out to be guilty of any of the objections lodged against the method. At the same time they turn out to employ the method in contrary ways. Frazer uses the method to show the similarities among religions; Smith uses it as much to show the differences. The contrasting use of the same method by its most famous practitioners shows that the method is not merely malleable but indispensable to all scholars of religion - those seeking the particularities of individual religions no less than those seeking the universals of religion.

Abstract:
The Qur'an must be memorized throughout time, beginning at the appropriate moment and ending after placing each verse. Writing down poetry, listening to them, and reading them aloud are all steps in the memorizing process. The process of memorizing will provide excellent outcomes if it is completed accurately and on schedule. Understanding the advantages of memorization and its aim can help you maintain the Qur'an in your memory. There will be a barrier to students remembering the Quran after memorization. This kind of study is qualitative research, a method that gathers data in the form of variables but sees them as a component of a whole. An analysis of the relevant literature was employed as the method for gathering data in this study. In this research, qualitative analysis was the method of data analysis. The survey's findings revealed that the memorization process used in schools was quite effective, including: 1) the school's process of seeking out teachers with teaching experience; 2) the use of memorization aids like the Qur'an, the blackboard, a memorization-friendly environment, and an adequate sound system.
