Abstract:
Daniel Putman thinks I am right to hold that for Aristotle a concern to appear before one's peers in a certain way is internal to virtue. He takes me to suppose that things are otherwise under a ‘modern concept of virtue’, and says that I am wrong about this. Putman rightly distinguishes between a desire to look good before one's peers which is a substitute for virtue, and a desire to look good to them because, acting virtuously, ‘we genuinely deserve to be viewed that way’. (He acknowledges that I recognize such a distinction in Aristotle.) Once this distinction is made, Putman thinks, we can appreciate that modern ethical understanding is as much dependent on ‘the communitarian foundation of character’ as is Aristotelian virtue. The only thing, says Putman, which gulls us into thinking otherwise is the sociological fact that Aristotle's political community was homogenous, while ours is heterogenous, so that more often virtuous people today will have to act in a way which goes against what many around them think.

Abstract:
During Covid-19 Pandemic the entire world experiences the role and importance of Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare system and especially in Community Pharmacy. Internet of Things can be described as a network architecture incorporating an abundance of sensors software hardware, computing devices, technologies, machines and many more utilities, assisting us in our relevant domains as per the needful. Over the yesteryears it has been observed that the footprints of Internet of Things over the healthcare sector have increased eloquently. This observation leads us to the fact that with the escalating population and the healthcare plight Internet of Things can really prove itself to be serious breakthrough in the community pharmacy. By revising the current healthcare system in the community pharmacies in a more socio-economic fashion. This paper reviews the technological advancements in Internet of Things, for the medical management of public health so that it can be vitally made use of in the domain of community pharmacy. There is a demand of efficient Internet of Things framework that would seriously be able to challenge the abysmal state of community pharmacy mostly in the remote areas and the distant regions. Abstract:
French prison based probation services merged with their community based counterparts in 1999. This reform was aimed at placing the service under the wing of prison services and to reduce the influence of the judiciary. Despite still adhering to their rehabilitative goals and to a one-to-one pre-Martinson type of supervision, French probation services have long abandoned social work. Their exceptionally heavy caseload, a prevailing prison thinking, their newly acquired judicial work and managerialism explain this evolution. French probation services present an odd mix of old traits, insularism, and denial of recent scientific progress, with penal transferring, modern management and frenetic law reforming. All this has generated an identity crisis along with work-related stress.

Abstract:
Purpose – This paper aims to explore current developments in the semantic Web and the role libraries can play in exposing institutional and bibliographic content using linked data and unique identifier systems. Design/methodology/approach – This is a regular journal column. Findings – There are many ways in which libraries can contribute to the scholarly community through the description as well as traditional authority control work flow to integrate research and bibliographic content with the larger semantic Web. Originality/value – The theory behind linked data is commencing to have a more pronounced impact on the way the Web operates. Major players including publishers and commercial entities are contributing to the semantic Web through partnerships with the wider Internet community as well as data providers such as Universities. Given the open nature of many of these systems as well as consortial participation, this is an opportune time for libraries to contribute to these efforts in service of their constituencies.

The innovation of Transfer Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) technology, the basis for the Internet, has created dramatic changes in how technologies are linked. Cybersecurity is now an issue for everyday devices as they are connected to the Internet of Things (IoT). Satellites are no different; they are on the IoT. This article argues that cybersecurity is a high level concern in that it directly implicates state responsibility for space activities and international peace and security in general, but that it is regulated by low level governance and soft legal mechanisms. It recommends that satellite operators approach cybersecurity as a dynamic enterprise. It also recommends that the industry make proactive engagement in the cybersecurity community at large and seek to define industry specific best practices and guidelines.

Abstract:
This paper reflects on Common-places (2019), a project that was developed in Sheffield on the invitation of Site Gallery to participate in their ‘City of Ideas’ programme. Amidst the urban regeneration processes that are reshaping the city, this programme offered the opportunity to think about novel approaches that art and interdisciplinary practices could bring to processes of urban change. Common-places was proposed as a participatory workshop that engaged the local community, by inviting them to recognise the things they ‘hold dear’ about the areas in which they live or work. The premise was to identify forms of material and immaterial value that would reveal the ‘character’ of a place and its forms of use-value that are important to a local community. The intention was to develop a set of tools to highlight, map, commemorate and ultimately protect this intangible heritage in the context of urban regeneration in Sheffield. The project addressed some of the existing challenges of integrating an expanded notion of heritage in urban planning. Moveover, it reflects on the importance of identifying the use-value of intangible heritage and embraces a more integral and holistic approach to city planning.

Abstract:
This paper explores the image of women in Chinua Achebe novel’s Things Fall Apart. As the prominent postcolonial writer, Achebe has a vivid expression describing the social cultural values of the Ibo community in Nigeria, Africa. Analysis of the novel is done through the perspective of postcolonial feminism. Postcolonial feminism finds the relation and intersection between Postcolonialism and feminism. This interplay is interesting to observe. The findings show that in traditional patriarchal culture as in the novel, women are portrayed happy, harmonious members of the community, even when they are repeatedly beaten and barren from any say in the communal decision-making process and constantly reviled in sayings and proverbs. However some other interesting findings are that the women also have big role in the belief system of the community, and in Achebe’s novel he made it an amusement, for example by punishing Okonkwo because of his beating to his wife in the sacred time. Abstract:
Virus is a borderline between living and non-living things, not capable of reproduction but only do this process utilizing the machineries of a living cell. For most ordinary people in the Philippines, the corona virus that caused Corona Virus Disease in December 2019 (COVID 19) was not of big importance. The Philippine government was just observing the usual measure such as installing thermal screening in the airports to detect arriving passengers with flu. The virus continued to spread to the whole world. The continuous spread of the virus is the reason why mass media in print, in television, and other forms were used to educate people on how to prevent the spread of the virus. The Philippines positive cases were increasing almost exponentially. The Philippines government was getting more serious on the corona virus problem. President Rodrigo Duterte announced in the evening of March 12, 2020 of the month-long lock down of the whole Metro Manila from March 15 to April 14, 2020 as the country looks forward to contain the COVID 19. Land, domestic air and domestic sea to and from Metro Manila were suspended within the period. Social and religious activities that involved mass gathering were banned. Conferences, seminars and like activities were postponed and people were advised to stay at home. The lock down has brought about both negative and positive things to the government and to the people which can be observed commonly in every place. The negative things could fall into economic, social and psychological aspects. If corona virus brings negative and undesirable things in the community and in the Philippines, there are also positive things that sprouted. It is true indeed that a misfortune or a disaster to a place or persons can be an opportunity to others. Lots of things which are favorable and beneficial to many people and to the nature during the lock down which include economic, social and ecological aspects. The current situation brought by the corona virus that resulted to lock down implemented by the government of the Philippines gives an opportunity to learn the value of compassion and empathy in times of crisis. COVID 19 is bad, but people can also see the good effect of it. In the Philippines, people always boost the morale of our fellow Filipinos to unite in this battle to overcome this crisis and “together, we heal as one”.

Abstract:
The newly connected globe has the potential to become a more environmentally friendly and sustainable place if more efficiencies can be brought to various industries. We will look at examples of how the Internet of Things technology is helping to improve the world. Relatively recently, the technology of the fourth industrial revolution has given rise to the characteristics of things constantly expanding, and everything, including people, things, people, and the environment, is connected based on the Internet. In particular, the network structure is connected to various Internet of Things devices and transitioning from wired to wireless. Gateways both within and outside the smart home can now be used to control other devices, in contrast to users who previously owned each device individually. However, due to these changes, the environment is now susceptible to attacks from the outside. For example, when an attacker gains access to a gateway, he can attempt various attacks, such as port scans, OS and service detection, and denial of service assaults on Internet of Things devices. As a result, the findings of the study reveal the influence of IoT technology, which has the potential to improve environmental monitoring to enhance environmental safety.

Abstract:
The purpose is to conform to the development of the times and study a new way of urban community network governance. First, the ways of governance, social governance, urban community governance, and urban community network governance are discussed. Next, the intelligent sensor function of Internet of things (IoT) technology is applied to realize the communication between IoT and urban community network governance. An urban community network governance system based on an intelligent sensor network is established. The system combines Kalman filtering to realize the dynamic monitoring of the mobile Application (APP) of the urban community residents and can update and process the collected information in real time. Finally, a survey is conducted on the satisfaction of residents of a community in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, in 2019 on community network governance under the IoT. The efficiency and ability of urban community network governance under different network modes are compared and analyzed. The results show that the community has improved the needs of community residents through IoT network governance in multiple aspects, but the community service level of culture is not high. The community needs to strengthen the network publicity of community culture to improve the cultural level of the community. Meanwhile, in urban community governance, the comprehensive governance ability of the network governance model under network organization management is the highest, with an average of 50.93%. It shows that the established system is beneficial to the construction of urban community network governance. This exploration provides the direction for the IoT urban community network governance and constructs the urban community network governance system based on the intelligent sensor network.

Abstract:
In the context of rapid economic growth, people’s living standards are improving day by day, and China’s urbanization process is also gradually accelerating. Urban renewal is a very complex project. The renewal and expansion of most cities in the country usually involve demolishing and rebuilding. This way of urban renewal only pays attention to the renewal efficiency of cities and towns, and ignores the health needs of residents, which will make community residents lack a sense of security, pleasure, comfort, and belonging to the community, and greatly reduce the quality of life and physical fitness of community residents. Building a healthy city is an important goal of today’s society, and community is the basic unit of a city, so it is urgent to build a health-promoting community. We should pay attention to and study the social environment, the external space environment of residential areas, and the interaction between them, so as to make develop them in a healthy direction and create a healthy and positive community. Therefore, it is an urgent task to improve the community residents’ attention to the above problems and build community outdoor space, which has very important practical significance. In this paper, we use the cloud resource scheduling mechanism and the Internet of things to study the healthy role of community outdoor space planning. Through the transplantation of embedded Linux system, the development of communication interface and the external acquisition sensing device, we collect the information of working status and running status, and transmit it to the database built in the cloud through the 4G module on the motherboard. Then, HTML + java script + CSS + JSON + Ajax technology is used to write the display interface and logical relationship, so that the data can be displayed on the mobile terminal and PC, which can provide a useful technical exploration for outdoor space planning. The community Internet of Things technology realizes the intelligent community environment detection, and the community cloud resource scheduling mechanism combined with the community Internet of Things can obtain the residents’ help information in time and allocate the community outdoor resources in real time, which can not only meet the health needs of community members but also be conducive to the sustainable development of a health-promoting community. In addition, the cloud resource scheduling mechanism and the Internet of things also provide new ideas for the study of the health promotion research of community outdoor space planning.

Abstract:
SUMMARYSpecies identification is crucial for studies of parasite diversity, yet most surveys include taxa identified only to genus or family level. Using a large dataset comprising 950 surveys of helminth communities from 650 different species of fish, bird and mammal hosts, we investigated what determines the level of taxonomic resolution achieved. Identification of all helminths down to species level was achieved in only one-third of surveys, whereas all taxa were identified at least to genus level in two-thirds of surveys. The species richness of a parasite community and past study effort on the host species did not correlate with taxonomic resolution. However, the higher the proportion of parasite taxa occurring as larvae in a community, the lower the resolution achieved. Also, taxonomic resolution was better overall for communities in birds or mammals than for those in fish, and better for trematodes and acanthocephalans than for cestodes and nematodes. Perhaps the most intriguing result was a clear significant effect of year of publication on the taxonomic resolution achieved in parasite surveys: the proportion of helminth taxa identified at least to genus level has remained high until the year 2000, but has dropped in studies published since then. The loss of expertize in parasite taxonomy happening worldwide is one possible explanation. This downward trend needs to be reversed if we are to monitor new parasite occurrences in the face of environmental changes.

Abstract:
Based on the research of social network and the Internet of Things, a new research topic in the field of Internet of Things, Social Internet of Things is gradually formed. The SIoT applies the research results of SIoT from different aspects of the Internet of Things, and solves the specific problems in the research of Internet of Things, which brings new opportunities for the development of the Internet of Things. With the development of the Internet of Things technology, in the spatial social Internet of Things structure, user information includes sensitive attributes and non-sensitive attribute information. This information can be inferred from public user information to infer the information of the private user and even speculate on sensitive attributes. This article proposes an information speculation method based on the core users of spatial social networks, and estimates the non-core user information through the core user public information. First, the user’s spatial social network is divided into communities, and the core nodes of the community in the spatial social network are calculated by PageRank algorithm and the convergence of the algorithm is proved. Then, through the public information of the core nodes divided by the community in the space social network, the private information of relevant users to these core nodes can be speculated. Finally, by experimental analyzing the community structures of SIoT (Social Internet of Things) like Twitter, Sina Weibo, ER random networks, and NW small-world network, and making 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% information anonymous respectively in these four kinds of networks, we can analyze their clustering coefficient, Q-modularity and properties. Finally, the key node information of the four spatial social structures is speculated to analyze the effectiveness of the proposed method. Compared with the non-core speculation method, this method has advantages in speculative information integrity and time.

Abstract:
This paper sought after identifying some likely traps a Muslim might fall into because of the geometric improvement in the field of network connectivity, with a strict focus on Internet of Things (IoT). The principal aim was to reawaken the people (Muslims) on their sole purpose on this earth as they swim in the pool of development and ease of doing things brought about by this technology. A Muslim should remain focused, despite the lures of things around him. This technology is studied together with the obvious problems it has come with. Findings showed some scary deep black holes a Muslim may fall into without really knowing he is into rebellious acts against the dictates of his religion, Islam. Due to their vulnerability, the Internet of Things devices could be compromised and used in committing illegal acts against humanity. This study would declare that these devices are so vulnerable that they can be used in perpetrating things like identity theft, snooping (privacy violation) and different other forms of crimes which are obviously not in conformity with Islamic dictates. Furthermore, it would additionally assert that the Internet of Things is one of the technologies which carry along so much to worry about in terms of ethics, social relationship and by extension even religious concerns (as stated in this paper). It was also instituted that the producers of these devices are yet to discover (or make a proper attempt to) a convincing solution to this problem. These findings establish the accomplishment of the fact that Muslims should always study deeply and be skeptical and investigative towards utilizing each technology to the fullest without infringing on the rights of Allah.

Abstract:
<p>Residential security is important in today&rsquo;s society. As Taiwan will soon enter a super-aged society, there will be manpower shortages and scheduling problems in the dispatched resident guard service. Hence, how to develop a new security method and business model that uses the techniques of the Internet of Things to improve resident security is a top priority. In addition, in response to the severe global COVID-19 epidemic, residents&rsquo; access to and from residential areas shall be strictly controlled, such as body temperature records and access records, in order to enhance epidemic prevention within communities. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved gated system that combines the techniques of the Internet of Things (IoT) to ensure community security. In terms of access control, a facial recognition system is designed, which integrates with the functions of body temperature measurement, RFID, and QR codes. The QR code function is mainly used to allow guests to enter residential areas. Regarding the COVID-19 epidemic, the information recorded by the system can help to effectively control the contact history and body temperature of community residents. The advantages of this paper, including practicality, residential security, and integration, are explained in the experimental section.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Abstract:
From smart devices to homes to cities, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies have become embedded within everyday objects on a global scale. We understand IoT technologies as a form of infrastructure that bridges the gaps between offline spaces and online networks as they track, transmit, and construct digital data from and of the physical world. We examine the social construction of IoT network technologies through their technological design and corporate discourses. In this article, we explore the methodological challenges and opportunities of studying IoT as an emerging network technology. We draw on a case study of a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN), a cost-effective radio frequency network that is designed to connect sensors across long distances. Reflecting on our semi-structured interviews with LPWAN users and advocates, participant observation at conferences about LPWAN, as well as a community-based LPWAN project, we examine the intersections of methods and practices as related to space, data, and infrastructures. We identify three key methodological obstacles involved in studying the social construction of networked technologies that straddle physical and digital environments. These include (a) transcending the invisibility and abstraction of network infrastructures, (b) managing practical and conceptual boundaries to sample key cases and participants, and (c) negotiating competing technospatial imaginaries between participants and researchers. Through our reflection, we demonstrate that these challenges also serve as generative methodological opportunities, extending existing tools to study the ways data connects online and offline spaces.
