Abstract:
AbstractIndonesia has had its share of natural and manmade disasters. From 1997 to 2002, Indonesia has experienced 90 incidents of terrorist bomb attacks. In 13 (14.4%) of the terrorist attacks, the bombs did not explode. A total of 224 persons have been killed, and 340 persons have been injured. Most of those killed or injured were the result of the bombings in Jakarta and Bali. Besides bombings, there have been riots, especially in Jakarta. The Indonesian Surgeons Association established the 1–1–8 Emergency Ambulance Service Foundation to develop the Prehospital Emergency Medical Services in Indonesia. Despite difficulties, this service has been implemented in 18 cities. The occurrence of disasters, riots, ethnic conflicts, terrorist attacks, and the introduction of the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course in 1995, have helped to convince the people and the government that it was important to develop this 1–1–8 Emergency Ambulance Services system, and agreed to accept a Safe Community Program. With the Safe Community Program, Jakarta with its Integrated 1–1–8 Emergency Ambulance Service managed to provide proper emergency medical care to the casualties caused by terrorist bombings, riots, and in the three weeks of floods during which 75% of Jakarta was submerged.

Abstract:
TOD is a popular urban development concept implemented by many countries around the world, especially in Indonesia. This concept is also an exciting thing to study in various countries, but that does not happen in Indonesia. Research on the socio-economic TOD is still relatively less desirable than another focus. Therefore this research exists to provide new things in research on TOD in Indonesia. This research aims to identify the socio-economic condition based on three indicators, namely mobility movement, economic activity, and life quality. This research uses descriptive methods based on the response from 100 passengers from two TOD areas, namely Dukuh Atas and Lebak Bulus. The results show that movement mobility indicates a stable condition due to the short travel and transit time felt by the community. The economic activity occurs due to the commercial facilities around the TOD area. The life quality change appears caused by the benefits took by the community. This research shows that TOD in Indonesia creates socio-economic phenomena and has to further developed. This research can also be an incentive for academics to conduct similar research in the future.

Abstract:
In most cases, simple rented flats (Rusunawa) in Jabodetabek have residents with low economic levels and quality of life. One of the factors that may improve the quality of life is the social support among residents determined by the sense of community. In Rusunawa Rawa Bebek, for instance, the residents comes from various areas in Indonesia, so that the sense of community among them is weak. Therefore, the purpose of this social intervention program is to strengthen the sense of community among adolescents in Rusunawa Rawa Bebek. The program consist of assessment and training carried out for a full day, including presentations and games that lead to the character building of community members to have a good emotion and a sense of community. The training was conducted to 17 teenagers from Karang Taruna Rusunawa Rawa Bebek. The change of sense of community is measured by pre-test and post-test before and after training, using the BSCS (Brief Sense of Community Scale), by examining changes in the average score. The results of the statistical analysis showed an increase in the level of sense of community of the participants after training, though not quite significant.

Abstract:
The increasing life expectancy resulted in expanding numbers of elderly worldwide. According to BPS data, by 2035, the number of elderly in Indonesia will reach 48.2 million people or about 15.8% of the entire population of Indonesia. The increasing population leads to escalated dependence of the elderly caused by the aging process. In this modern era, the elderly need daily activities to feel useful. The solution that emerged is a community that provides facilities for the elderly. The goal is for elderly remains active and productive at the age that demands limited movement. North Jakarta was chosen as location by considering economic variables and population density to determine the target user, namely the mid- upper class. The user category are the independent living community, the older adults aged 55 and over. According to WHO, one factor that affects the quality of human life include the ageing is the physical environment. Building design can play a role in improving the health and welfare of the elderly. The concept of biophilic design applied in the project, based on the study of 14 patterns of biophilic (Terrapin, 2014) and the practice of biophilic design (Kellert, 2015), which applied in the site and building mass. Keywords: ; Ageing ; Biofilic Design ; Senior Community,; Quality of lifeAbstrakTingkat harapan hidup yang terus meningkat mengakibatkan populasi lansia di seluruh dunia semakin bertambah. Abstract East Jakarta, which is included in the DKI Jakarta Province, continues to grow in population. As a result, the demand for settlement land increases. The presence of plants is critical for environmental equilibrium. The purpose of this study was to determine the vegetation density and its variations in East Jakarta year 2020. The method used the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) analysis and classification. In 2020, the highest NDVI value in East Jakarta was 0.1–0.2, covering 7,952.64 ha (43.07 %) of the entire area, while the lowest value was >0.6, covering 0.06 ha of the total area. The highest vegetation density class in East Jakarta was low dense class, accounting for 7,951.26 ha (43.06 percent) of the whole area, while the lowest density class was under high dense class accounted for 1,116.41 ha (6.04 percent) of the total area. In terms of green open space, there were a city park, a cemetery, a green lane on a road, and a river bank. The municipal park was classified as dense, while the rest were classified as medium dense. The presence of trees within the green space has aided in the area’s vegetation density. It also refers to the role of open green space in enhancing the community’s life and environment’s quality. The importance of educating and guiding the surrounding community about the benefits of vegetation or green open space, then replanting less vegetated land, as well as an integrated land use planning and implementation. The first section in your paper

The prevalence of heart disease in Indonesia is 15 out of 1000 people from Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia in 2019 which elevates the risk of cardiac arrest in unpredictable places. Adolescents as a member of family and community must be capable of performing basic life support (BLS) to reduce the mortality as result of heart disease. The purposes of this community service were to (1) deliver health education about heart disease to adolescents, (2) educate the adolescents about how to reduce the risk of heart disease, and (3) train the adolescents to perform basic life support. The community service of BLS training was conducted in senior high school (SMAN) 34 Jakarta. The trainer delivered theoretical knowledge about basic life support. After this session, the trainer and instructors demonstrated the skill of performing BLS. The adolescents (students) then asked to redemonstrate the skill until they could take on the BLS well. This BLS training was beneficial for the community especially in adolescents. The knowledge of the participants was significantly increasing in the post-test compared to pre-test (p<.000). Furthermore, the adolescents could perform the BLS well after the training. Heart disease education and BLS training are important in adolescence to prevent cardiovascular disease and its complications. Keywords: basic life support, adolescents, cardiovascular

This paper analyses the dilemma of “Jakarta Hidden Tour” which is claimed as a poor exhibition while in another hand tries to offer a new design and approach of pro-poor tourism by utilizing thematic Kampong development with local culture excellences as such “Green Slum Kampong in Ciliwung river”, or “Sailor Slum Kampong in North Jakarta”. Key learn from Brazil with slum kampong tourism in Santa Marta is a motivation for government to live a recognition, that like any other global/industrial policies, tourism is highly driven by political interest. By conducting a system thinking perspective base, this paper analyses how “Jakarta Hidden Tour” and government’s supporting policy will ensure eco-cultural pro-poor tourism development and how stakeholders as a system’s element need to uphold poverty alleviation towards sustainability

Abstract:
Abstract Indonesia is rich in biodiversity. The treatment that uses herbs or medicinal plants (MP) by the community is an effort of the community to live a healthy life independently. Therefore, the Government should encourage the development of MP in the multi-sector areas, among others: health, agriculture, forestry and the informal sector, therefore policies related to MP should be implemented coordinatively, so that the MP development program can run well. The policy for the development of the MP study carried out in 2013 was aimed at analyzing policies and coordination across sectors of the MP development program. It is a qualitative study whose information is obtained from managers and implementers of policies related to MP in the health sector, agriculture, forestry, central & regional government, PKK administrators, research bodies and universities. The study was conducted in Jakarta, West Java, Central Java and Yogyakarta. The study results show that policies related to the development of MP in each sector have different priority levels. The central policy in the health sector is more directed at how treatment with MP can integrate with formal health services and self-medication, while the agricultural and forestry sectors lead to industrialization to improve the economic level of the community. At the regional level, the development of MP still expects.

Abstract:
According to Ray Oldenburg Third Place, refers to the place where people spend time between home ('first place') and place of work ('second place'). One example of a third place is a recreation center. According to Daniel D. Mclean, recreation can include a very wide variety of activities, including sports. Sports recreation is a type of sport that is intentionally done for personal gain, for fun. Life in a big city, like Jakarta, which is full of activities and routines can cause boredom and mental stress on the community. Based on data from the International Labor Organization, total working hours in a week in Jakarta increased in 2016 with a total of 32 hours compared to total working hours in 2006 of 27 hours and based on research from the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD), Indonesia was in position 3 with the country with the worst balance between work and life with a figure reaching 14.3%. According to a psychologist, Kartasasmita, M. Psi, work is the highest cause of stress on a person. With Jakarta's condition like that, needed a facility that can accommodate the recreational and fitness needs of the community in the form of Third Place. The aim of this project is to improve the quality of life of urban communities, in terms of physical and psychological health and fitness. The design method used is comparison which refers to the Place theory in Architecture according to Christian Norberg Schulz. The main programs offered in this project include a fitness area, sports studio, spa, sauna, hydrotherapy pool, jogging track, bicycle track, yoga & meditation park, and supporting areas such as sports retail and dining areas.

Abstract:
Rapid technology advancements, particularly social media Instagram, have brought people’s daily lives and urban environments into the domain of visual culture. Instagram’s young users are presently sharing motivational quotes adopted in activities and work with the use of a skyscraper as a background. The trend of encouraging quotes and skyscaraper photographs exemplifies the community’s orientation, which refers to a lifestyle or a typical phenomenon of Indonesian urban culture. This article intends to investigate the image of society by using Instagram to post encouraging phrases and patterns of space production-consumption using images of buildings taken by young people. The method of social semiotics was employed in this article with qualitative approach. Guy Debord’s Spectacle of Society (1967) theory and the postmodernist perspective are also discussed. Instagram creates a dichotomy with its picture of modern society and stunning metropolitan areas. Consumption and self-commodification are discussed in the context of capitalism through artistically potrayed public life performances on Instagram. As a result, a new concept of conflicting urban spaces emerges. On the one hand, an idealized portrayal of communal life and urban space exists, while the other side of a city with dense populations is ignored. This study is limited the social media platform Instagram and the Jakarta metropolitan area in Indonesia. There has never been a conversation about the convergence of urban settings with social media as a spectacle before.

This article discusses roles of women in struggling transformation within their community. As one of governmental policies in 2015 about eradication of slum areas under BasukiTjahajaPurnama (‘Ahok’) as previous governor of Jakarta, many flats were built and provided to those who became the target of that program. It’s called ‘Rusunawa’—low cost simple flat. Researchers choose ‘Rusunawa’ Pulogebang (the first flat located on East Jakarta) as the locus of research. Unfortunately, there are new social problems emerge. One of them is adaptation matter: changing habits from previous location to new situation. Crashed by new system—such as paying room regularly every month meanwhile having no permanent job/work yet—occurs seriously impact until now. Besides that, losing home also keep them traumatic. In such situation, not all people can change their way of life rapidly till some women—driven by awareness—striving for changing the community decisively by various sustainable efforts. Therefore, this qualitative research will analyze the three main ideas in Feminist Standpoint Theory: knowledge, experience and power relation. Intrinsic case study is used to get in-depth inquiry. Also, researchers conduct as participant observers and in-depth interviewers towards key informants and community itself. Finally, based on critical paradigm, the results show that those women succeed to lead the community towards social transformation in health, education, economic, and leadership fields.

Abstract:
Individual piety is a personal achievement in the rituals of human worship. However, its manifestations can affected the social piety of the worshipper, such as tolerance towards people of other religions, caring for the environment, and loving the country. 'Terang Jakarta' and 'Shift Bandung' communities are representations of the hijrah movement in Indonesia, which seeks to realize social piety among its members. The Middle-class youths in various big cities across the country, who experienced a dark life, are active actors of this Hijrah community. This paper aims to analyze the meaning of social piety for the members of both communities, as a part of religious cosmopolitanism and the strengthening of the Hijrah movements in Indonesia. This study used a qualitative approach and Herbert Mead's Symbolic Interactionism theory. The research found that the formation of the meaning of social piety for the members of both communities was carried out by the administrators through the same pattern, namely emphasizing the redefinition of social piety through the distribution of Islamic values that resulted from collective study among them. This process is implemented through massive dissemination of ideas on social media and through a layered regeneration system. The manifestation of social piety is embodied in the understanding of community members about social guidelines, such as love for the country, tolerance, and being involved in social activities in society.

Abstract:
This research was conducted to examine the effects of electronic word of mouth (eWOM) and traditional word of mouth (tWOM) on the level of consumers' trust in deciding to buy life insurance products in Indonesia. It involved 430 respondents who were online community members in two of Indonesia's largest cities; Jakarta and Surabaya. Surprisingly, this study found that eWOM was a more dominant predictor than tWOM in influencing trust. The other research result is that the trust variable influences consumers' buying decisions in positive and significant ways. This research recommends that managements of life insurance companies should build promotion policies based on trust so that the consumer decision level to buy life insurance products increases. The trick is for company management to identify and develop practices that improve the roles of positive eWOM and tWOM, so as to increase the level of consumers' trust to buy.

These principles are summarized in al-dlaruriyah al-khamsah or also called al-huquq al-insaniyah fi al-Islam (human rights in Islam). This concept consists of five basic principles that must be maintained and respected by every individual; Hifzhu al-Din (respect for religious freedom), Hifzhu al-Mal (respect for property), Hifzhu al-Nafs wa al-'Irdl (respect for life, right to life and individual honor), Hifzhu al-'Aql (respect for freedom of thought), and Hifzhu al-Nasl (respect for keeping offspring). This research is examined using a juridical-normative and socio-legal and historical approach. The principles of human rights in the Medina Charter consist of: the principles of justice, equality, freedom of religion, piety, and commanding good and evil. Iimplementation of human rights values in The Medina Charter in Indonesia, the author summarizes it into three areas of life; religion, nation and state consisting of:the field of religious harmony, the field of law and constitution enforcement and the field of socio-political life and the development of the political system. Among the authors' findings, the Medina Charter contains ideas that have strong relevance to the developments and desires of today's world community, especially for Indonesia. The ideas in the Medina Constitution were also absorbed by the founding figures of the Indonesian nation, which can be seen in the Jakarta Charter which later gave birth to Pancasila. The contents of the Medina Charter and Pancasila have in common as a sentence of sawa' (meeting point) diversity or a noble agreement that is constructive, loves, and defends Indonesia, as well as the Medina Charter.

Unfortunately, PKL is blamed as the source of problems and surrounded by the threat of eviction which still happened in DKI Jakarta as the symbol and magnet of development in Indonesia. The qualitative method is used with study cases empowered by life history for revealing the vulnerability and survival strategy of the PKL household. The result shows the unforeseeable fact that PKL in Triangle Gold of DKI Jakarta potentially can reach income as same as regional minimum wage in DKI Jakarta. At the same time, the eviction and number of customers are the PKL’s vulnerability factors. Social capital is essential to start a new job or business as PKL, while strengthened by push and pulling factors to migrate from rural to city. Bridging and bonding with stakeholders through adaptation with the changing rule are the PKL’s main strategies to survive; besides preserving the identity and norms of PKL boost the adhesion of the PKL community to encounter a hard time. Beyond that, resignation value to God and effort for growing are determinant aspects that differ between PKL who have more or less revenue.

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan/penataran/penyuluhan yang bersifat participatory action dalam bentuk ceramah dan diskusi.[Islamic law as one source of national law is a collection of rules based on fiqhiyah norms or rules. The implementation of fiqh codified into Islamic law in Indonesia does not cover all areas, covering only a few areas, such as marriage, probate, grant, inheritance, zakat, infaq, alms and sharia economy. The enforcement of Shari'a or Islamic law in Indonesia has existed before western law applied in the archipelago, but there are still many misconceptions about the sharia that prevail in Indonesia. Madrasah Aliyah as a formal secondary education level equivalent to High School in addition to teaching general subjects are also taught religious subjects, especially the lessons of jurisprudence. The provision of fiqih material in MA must be accompanied by understanding the status and implementation of Islamic law in the state law based on Pancasila, so that students can know the extent to which Shari'a is applied in the life of society and state in the Republic of Indonesia. The purpose of this community service activity is to give understanding to the students of Madrasah Aliyah especially MAN 3 Jakarta about the implementation of Islamic Law and its position in the law of the Republic of Indonesia. Abstract:
Self-medication is defined as self treatment and self-diagnose for conditions such as cough, flu, fever, pain, stomach ulcers, worms, diarrhea, rash, and some other minor illnesses. Based on the data from Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan RI (2013), there were 103.860 of 294.959 households (35,2%) in Indonesia which store medicines for selfmedication (including 35,7% “Obat Keras” or “Gevaarlijk” and 27,8% antibiotics). DKI Jakarta (56,4%) is the highest province with respect to stored medicines. Some studies have found that 40-62% of antibiotics are not used properly. The inappropriate use of antibiotics can lead to antibiotic resistance risk and can be life-threatening for people in every part of the world. To address this problem, this community service was conducted to provide information about selfmedication of influenza and cough illness and to improve people’s knowledge in the proper use of antibiotics. Lecturing was chosen as the method for explaining the rational use of antibiotics and participants were requested to fill out a questionnaire. This activity was attended by 34 participants (and 32 participants filled out the questionnaire). About 13 participants (40,6%) provided correct answers to questions on the proper use of antibiotics. Twenty six participants (81,25%) said they had previously used antibiotics, 14 of them (53,85%) admitted to purchasing antibiotics without a prescription. Antibiotics are taken to treat symptoms such as runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, and other conditions. A total of 7 participants (26,92%) admitted taking antibiotics with dosage modification and 8 participants (30,77%) switched one type of antibiotics with another type of antibiotics. Based on the results, we concluded that people did not have sufficient knowledge about the rational use of antibiotics. We suggested that counseling about the proper use of antibiotics should be improved.

Abstract:
Waqf in Islam is one way to invest in property for the sake of the world and the hereafter. The development of waqaf must still be in the sharia corridor so that its ubudiyah and iqtishadiyah values remain. Islamic law will not be known even as DSN MUI has just released its fatwa in October 2016 which is the investment benefit and sharia life fatwa, but some sharia insurance institutions and wakaf institutions in Indonesia first applied this form of waqf. The legal status of a wakaf law on Islamic insurance policy under Islamic law includes productive wakaf. However, in terms of its ownership element as a waqf object has not been fully owned by wakif so ulama differed in opinion, although in principle has been owned by wakif, but still opens the dispute space because the waqf object is not yet fully owned. The wakaf law of syariah insurance policy itself is still potentially canceled by wakif or by sharia insurance if one of them wakif get difficulty paying the premium before maturity. Implementation of waqf syariah insurance policy at Al-Azhar Wakaf Institute Jakarta has not yet fully complied with the rules of Fatwa DSN MUI because the fatwa has just come out in the end of 2016 and socialized in early 2017, whereas the wakaf will be known as sharia insurance policy in the community.
