Abstract:
This squib first sketches the state-of-the-art in diachronic construction grammar by tracing it back to two strands of research which it distinguishes as historical construction grammar and constructionist grammaticalization theory. It then differentiates between usage-based work in diachronic construction grammar that focuses on (frequency of) use and work that centres on knowledge. It is posited that, to arrive at truly (radically) usage-based models of change, one should separate individual knowledge, or internal systems/constructicons, from assumed-to-be-shared knowledge, or external systems/constructicons. Two us-age-based models of constructional change, “Traugott/Trousdale” and “Fischer”, are assessed against this criterion. While the former explicitly distinguishes between individual and “community” knowledge, it is judged to confuse these by assigning a central role to reanalysis/neoanalysis. The latter model revolves around the role of analogy and is less confined to a semasiological account of the linear developments dictated by an external outlook.

Abstract:
Community safety has become an important part of social public safety. The construction of a safe community focuses on the accumulation of community safety capabilities. This paper discusses the application of big data technology in community safety construction and the improvement of community safety promotion capabilities. We analyzed the sources and collection methods of community data, classified multisource heterogeneous community data, and constructed seven types of community data. We designed the conceptual structure and storage structure of the community database. On the basis of the construction of the community database, the architecture design of the big data platform for community security was launched. From the perspective of different user types, the functional requirements of the big data platform were analyzed. Combined with demand analysis, the overall architecture design of the community big data platform was carried out. On the basis of the overall architecture, the application architecture and technical architecture were designed in more detail, and the key technologies of the community big data platform were analyzed. Finally, it analyzes how to use the community big data platform to predict public security risks by constructing a CART regression tree model.

Abstract:
Abstract Hierarchical identity-based signature (HIBS) plays a core role in a large community as it significantly reduces the workload of the root private key generator. To make HIBS still available and secure in post-quantum era, constructing lattice-based schemes is a promising option. In this paper, we present an efficient HIBS scheme in polynomial rings. Although there are many lattice-based signatures proposed in recent years, to the best of our knowledge, our HIBS scheme is the first ring-based construction. In the center of our construction are two new algorithms to extend lattice trapdoors to higher dimensions, which are non-trivial and of independent interest. With these techniques, the security of the new scheme can be proved, assuming the hardness of the Ring-SIS problem. Since operations in the ring setting are much faster than those over integers and the new construction is the first ring-base HIBS scheme, our scheme is more efficient and practical in terms of computation and storage cost when comparing to the previous constructions.

Abstract:
In order to solve the problem of lack of targeted guidance for learners in the community learning process, an improved algorithm for constructing com-munities was proposed. The algorithm used P2P architecture. Through the improved learning rules, the links between learners with similar interests were continuously strengthened. The community structure was automatically adjusted. In the end, learners with similar interests were grouped together. Taking university computer basic courses as an example, a self-organizing community learning system based on p2p network-based university comput-er basic courses was constructed. The results showed that compared with the traditional P2P architecture learning algorithm, this algorithm achieved better community construction quality and higher community construction speed. Therefore, this method can improve the learning effect of the university computer basic curriculum community.

Abstract:
Sensor-equipped mobile devices have allowed users to participate in various social networking services. We focus on proximity-based mobile social networking environments where users can share information obtained from different places via their mobile devices when they are in proximity. Since people are more likely to share information if they can benefit from the sharing or if they think the information is of interest to others, there might exist community structures where users who share information more often are grouped together. Communities in proximity-based mobile networks represent social groups where connections are built when people are in proximity. We consider information influence (i.e., specify who shares information with whom) as the connection and the space and time related to the shared information as the contexts. To model the potential information influences, we construct an influence graph by integrating the space and time contexts into the proximity-based contacts of mobile users. Further, we propose a two-phase strategy to detect and track context-aware communities based on the influence graph and show how the context-aware community structure improves the performance of two types of mobile social applications.

Abstract:
The focus of community-based projects is participation. This idea has both an epistemological and a logistical dimension. Local knowledge is supposed to guide these investigations, while community members should participate in every phase of a project. In fact, some critics argue that they should control these undertakings. In this way, the “authorial intent” of these persons can be given serious attention, thereby improving social services. These requirements, in many ways, take the usual debate between quantitative and qualitative methodologies in a new direction.

Coming in as a freshman student to a university in a new city can be an intimidating situation. I was in this situation two years ago and felt I had no connections to the surrounding community outside of campus. This city was my new home away from home and I did not feel like a part of it. Therefore, I got involved in the local neighborhood association as the only student participant. My first night at a meeting included a question and answer session with a representative from the hospital located in the neighborhood, adjacent to the university. There was talk of a neighborhood garden partnership and I was getting the impression that the neighborhood felt betrayed regarding the construction of a sign at this garden. This moment was the beginning of an interesting journey.

Abstract:
Abstract. As a component of smart city, smart community is the community form in the information age. With people's higher pursuit of living environment, safety, convenience and other intelligent aspects, the construction of smart community continues to accelerate. However, there are still some problems such as uneven community safety management level, data island, insufficient quality service projects and lack of participation of residents. This paper studies and practices the construction of smart community based on GIS and tilt photogrammetry. The smart community uses tilt photogrammetry technology to restore the real scene of the community as the data source. The core work of field data acquisition, 3D model construction and monomer modelling of the real scene is carried out. Then, the smart community web terminal is built based on Cesium.js and Vue.js framework, and the mobile terminal is developed by using WeChat applet. The experiment shows that this system can build a communication bridge between managers and users, and it is convenient for property management personnel to carry out accurate positioning verification, inspection, maintenance and timely feedback of community events on the information reported by users in real time. The whole smart community system can provide intelligent and convenient conditions for residents of the community, It can improve the existing management level of the community and provide the valuable technical reference for the current construction of smart communities.

Abstract:
Despite the longstanding use of theatrical techniques in community social work practice, the role of theater in the construction of identity is understudied in the social work literature. Drawing on over 100 hours of observation and 22 in-depth interviews with members of a theatrical community education troupe for youth, I describe how participation as performers in a play to prevent dating violence constructed youths’ identities as survivors of violence. Findings reveal that the process of identity construction through theatrical community practice occurred in three overlapping phases: first, learning the language to name the identity; next, embodying a character experiencing dating violence; and third, publicly claiming the identity in group interaction with audience members. Based on these findings, I draw implications for community social work practice with youth.

Abstract:
Recent attempts to involve the remote and small town communities of Northern Australia in their own policing and correctional services have often been held up as a model for developing Aboriginal criminal justice policies. Such a proposal raises important questions as to both the construction of the post-colonial ‘community’ in remote and settled Australia and the sociological principles by which these criminal justice schemes (eg night patrols, community wardens, community corrections) have been constituted. The paper explores the constructions of the Aboriginal community over the past two decades (ethnographic, politico-administrative and postmodernist) as a background to the development and implementation of community-based criminal justice schemes in the Northern Territory. A typology of post-colonial criminal justice strategies is developed which identifies four ‘ideal types’ in which the initiatives may be positioned. These are the mediative (community wardens, night patrols), the educative (community justice programs), the neo-colonialist (new forms of imposed European laws and policing) and the incorporative (pervasive and totalising forms of control). The possibility of transposing these Northern Territory schemes to other Aboriginal situations is then critically evaluated in the light of differing socio-political constructions of ‘community’.

Basing on the clustering result, the incompatible two kinds items, i.e. fresh items and the items shopped online, are united in a model to be solved. Since bottom-up approach is used to build distribution network step by step, a multi-objective programming is converted into two relatively independent single goal programming, so the network’s optimization result is of good controllability, and the algorithm’s complexity is greatly reduced. Abstract:
Pine Ridge Indian Reservation is in need of several thousand houses to alleviate overcrowding and improve living conditions. The United States government has failed to provide appropriate or sufficient housing and other individuals and organizations that have attempted to build homes for the Lakota have met with widely varying results. This paper documents community-based housing activities of fifteen Pine Ridge residents who attempted to implement a variety of construction techniques. The biggest challenges were obtaining and paying for resources and finding competent, reliable labor. The interviewees used local and salvaged materials extensively and worked within the local, informal economy to meet these challenges and address their dissatisfaction with government cluster housing. Findings suggest that local, community-based construction may provide a successful and culturally sustainable strategy for residential construction because it equips builders with a means to earn a living, develops construction skills, establishes a sense of ownership, and provides appropriate housing that enriches lives and builds pride.

Abstract:
Purpose It is particularly important to study the learner cognition based on information technology and change of learning environment in e-learning. Therefore, based on the combination of knowledge management and e-learning, the purpose of this paper is to discuss the basic rules and existing problems of virtual learning community (VLC). Design/methodology/approach In this study, a set of principles and basic framework of VLC was proposed, which could effectively instruct the construction of knowledge and collective wisdom development of VLC. Meantime, this paper revealed and constructed the theoretical framework and learning model for facilitating the advance of collective intelligence, described the main characteristics of collaborative knowledge building and traced the trajectory of convergence of collective intelligence and verified them through case studies and field studies. Findings The author analyzed the characteristics of VLC assisting knowledge construction and traced the trajectory of convergence of collective intelligence. In this way, the learners not only construct the meaning of knowledge in the process of participation from the edge to the center, but also complete the transformation from a green hand to an old hand. As a result, the learners form a sense of belonging to the community and complete the identity construction as a member of the community in the process of co-constructing the cultural tradition and value orientation of the community. Research limitations/implications The analysis of the framework is made relatively in general terms, and lacks of the concrete, practical analysis. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt the social network analysis method to carry out systematic research on the framework, so as to make the actual operation of the VLC more practical. Practical implications It is significant to adopt the construction of the research system and theoretical framework in building VLC so as to improve the learner’s abilities of knowledge building and make full use of the advantages of the VLC. Originality/value This paper revealed and constructed the theoretical framework and learning model for facilitating the advance of collective intelligence. Besides, it provides a model reference for the follow-up construction of a new collective learning model.

Abstract:
Purpose Due to the different actual construction conditions in different cities, the requirements for community livability may also differ due to different geographical locations and urban construction priorities. The research system in this paper can be applied to study similar old communities in old urban areas. The indicator system would need to be adjusted in different places, based on specific construction situations and higher planning requirements. This process would provide valuable insights for effective construction projects that support the livability of the old communities. Design/methodology/approach Based on sustainable and people-oriented development principles, this study considered the development of old urban communities during today’s rapid urban renewal and development. Using previous literature and related research experience, this study established an evaluation indicator system to assess the livability of old urban communities. Based on the local resident experience and satisfaction, the study investigated current weaknesses in the construction of livable old urban communities and developed corresponding recommendations for reform based on these. The goal was to provide guidance and recommendations for renewing old communities in during urban development and further promote the sustainable development of the city. Findings Based on the people-oriented principle and focusing on old urban communities as the research object, this study constructed an evaluation indicator system to evaluate the livability of urban old communities. The goal was to identify the weaknesses in the construction of old urban communities, with a focus on livability. Using the Bei’anmen community in Nanjing as a case study, the AHP method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method were applied to evaluate the overall target level and specific indicators, with the goal of assessing the level of livability in the Bei’anmen community.[AQ2] The results show that the livability of the Bei’anmen community is “very poor,” with significant room for improvements in community livability. This study also proposed corresponding measures for improving problems related to livability in the old urban community. Establishing the indicator system may help evaluate the livability of similar old communities in Nanjing and the same types of old communities in other cities. Understanding the overall livability of communities under construction can help identify weaknesses in other own construction approaches and may inform appropriate steps to improve the sustainable construction of the community in the wave of continuous urban renewal. This may realize the further development of livability in the community. Originality/value The community is an integral part of the city and strengthening the community’s civilization can support a harmonious and stable social environment. In constructing livable communities, improving the community civilization can promote social progress and civilization, promote social harmony and support the harmonious and sustainable development of communities. To strengthen the construction of a livable community, it is important to apply a residential perspective and provide a good platform for managing community participation and interaction. This may include organizing community-level cultural activities and strengthening communication between residents to increase the residents’ affection for the community. This would enhance the residents’ sense of belonging, forming a harmonious and stable atmosphere of community life, mutual help and mutual tolerance.

Abstract:
In this study, an evolutionary game model of the collaboration between the government and network knowledge community investors is constructed to address the problems of insufficient scale development of the network knowledge community and inconsistent internal mechanism. This model assists in determining the most appropriate internal mechanism for the development of the network knowledge community. The evolutionary game model, based on the system dynamic model fitting analysis, showed that the government and investors adopting positive strategy at the same time is for the optimal strategy. Promoting the network knowledge community construction is the key to improve the initial probability of both sides to take the active strategy, reducing the threshold of evolution.

Abstract:
The development mode of urban construction has gradually changed from the rapid development and construction mode of new areas to the renewal of old urban areas. The old urban areas are demolished, transformed, upgraded, invested, and constructed, and the backward urban functions are replaced with new urban functions and then restore vitality and prosperity. In urban renewal, the upgrading and transformation of urban information infrastructure and intelligent systems is an important part of urban development, and the smart community construction system is a new development concept after urbanization has been updated to a certain extent. The goal is to address the disparity between the material and cultural needs of a growing population and the unbalanced and unplanned management of cities. In addition, with the rapid development of information technology, new applications and demands emerge. Based on urban renewal, this paper proposes corresponding countermeasures for the upgrading and transformation of intelligent facilities and intelligent application in the development of smart communities in combination with new technologies such as cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, 5G, and AI for reference in planning and design.

Abstract:
Faith-based organizations are a powerful resource for addressing health issues within the African American community. In this paper, we describe two projects led by volunteer faith-based leaders and community residents who collaborated with public agencies to design programs to combat obesity. The first project, the Southeast Raleigh Community Garden Project, involved the construction of a community garden and the delivery of educational programs on healthy eating among youth. The second one, Project FACT (Faith-based groups Addressing health issues through Community outreach Together in the community), implemented church-based nutrition education programs and community walking programs led by church volunteers. The purpose of the two faith-based health promotion projects was to increase opportunities for physical activity and to encourage consumption of more fruits and vegetables. These projects resulted in the construction of a walking trail with the community garden as its destination, implementation of education programs to increase nutritional awareness, the initiation of multiple walking programs, and policy changes within the church to encourage a healthier lifestyle. The projects demonstrated the feasibility of collaboration among faith-based organizations, community residents and government agencies to promote physical activity and healthful eating among families by creating physical changes in the environment and implementing educational and walking programs in low income communities.

Abstract:
Network-based approaches offer a powerful framework to evaluate microbial community organization and function as it relates to a variety of environmental processes. Emerging studies are exploring network theory as a method for data integration that is likely to be critical for the integration of ‘omics’ data using systems biology approaches. Intricacies of network theory and methodological and computational complexities in network construction, however, impede the use of these tools for translational science. We provide a perspective on the methods of network construction, interpretation and emerging uses for these techniques in understanding host–microbiota interactions.

Abstract:
The article examines the construction of religious identity among the Sikhs from the socio-historical perspective. It has been argued that the Sikh identity was constructed as a result of the colonial intervention in which the emphasis turned to the appearance instead of faith as such. The new identity was a product of the politics of the times and it was perpetuated in order to maintain the hegemonic domination. Sikhism, despite its egalitarian ideology, failed to create a casteless community. Discrimination and exclusion of lower castes continued. An empirical investigation into the conditions and perceptions of the lowest caste, namely Mazhabi clearly demonstrated their exclusion, whereas discourse of equality among the Sikhs is used to create a moral community. Despite the equality of worship among the Sikhs, the Mazhabis at the local level are denied the equal religious rights in the gurdwaras (Sikh temple) owned and controlled by the upper dominant castes. Roots of the exclusion have to be located in the history of the making of the religious community and the way a few castes after benefiting from religious conversion perpetuated the caste-based exclusions.
