Abstract:
The article presents the author’s approach to modelling intergenerational communications based on the concept of social exchanges . The macro-level model describes different balances of exchanges of material and non-material resources between three generations and within one generation. Modelling allows us to provide an empirical analysis of quantitative data that form one of the possible outcomes: donation, recipient, parity. Based on micro-level and macrolevel models, the author proposed a set of projects in the field of youth policy for the integration of generations. Projects were classified according to areas of public life.

Abstract:
The motivation for this research arises from the challenges in the trustworthy communications related operation of cyber-physical systems (CPS), especially in the energy and mobility domains. The increasing amount of distributed energy resources (DERs) of prosumers and electric vehicles requires new ways for CPS communications to enable information exchanges for smart operation in peak consumption hours and balancing power levels in the energy grids in order to lower the energy cost. The huge number of mobile appliances and the related service providers do not serve properly the privacy of the owners, owing to the vertical silo type of operating model in industries. As the results of this research, we provide a trustworthy communication hub for CPS (CPS hub) for solving the challenges related to trustworthy communications between physical resources owned by different stakeholders. The CPS hub realizes the communication spaces concept, and enables combined trust and communications processes when dynamic resources owned by different stakeholders are exchanging information. The evaluations showed that the provided CPS hub enable information exchanges between distributed energy resources of different stakeholders, so that they can join the aggregation process for more flexible and efficient resource usage in energy markets. The CPS hub enable interaction between heterogeneous physical devices of multiple stakeholders to exchange information so that, for example, authorities can see the situation in the emergency area and, simultaneously, the policies of the owners can be taken into concern. Despite limited evaluation scenarios, it is shown that consideration of the ownership issues in the trustworthy communication for information exchanges between heterogeneous physical resources (devices) is possible and feasible. Several future research items, such as, for example, scalability; real-time and streams based operation; as well as consideration of the security, privacy, trust, and safety challenges, were detected. However, the evaluations showed that the constructed CPS hub contribute a set of very essential technical enablers for future smart CPS systems and create strong a basis for such future research towards a future smart society.

Abstract:
Chinese-Polish literary exchanges: Overview and perspectives Despite the great geographical distance between China and Poland, the two countries share a long and deep friendship. In recent years, literature has made frequent appearances at different levels of interactions and communications between China and Poland, demonstrating the unique role of literary exchanges in promoting the development of a relationship between two countries. This essay provides a systematic compendium, a comprehensive summary, and a multidimensional analysis of Chinese-Polish literary exchanges. Beginning with methodology, it introduces the purpose, subjects, range, levels, and theoretical tools of the study of two countries’ literary relations. Through a multi-dimensional study of literary reception, the Chinese-Polish literary exchange is divided into five periods: an early period of “mutual acquaintance”, a period of “initial development” in the first half of the 20th century, a period of “becoming mature” in the second half of the 20th century, a period of “increasing prosperity” in the new era, and a period of “new times” since 2012. The essay analyzes the contents, characteristics, and causes of Chinese-Polish literary exchanges in every period, objectively depicting the panorama of exchanges in literature between the two countries. On this basis, the patterns of Chinese-Polish literary exchanges are summarized from three dimensions: translation, imagology, and communication. Finally, suggestions are offered on how to effectively carry out the mutual promotion of Chinese and Polish literature in the future.

Abstract:
This paper portrays how English language is constructed and displayed by shipboard crews and shore-based personnel when communicating through radiotelephony. Based on internationally-recognized recommendations for implementation when ships communicate with each other or with shore-based stations as well as on examples of current practice contained in marine communication manuals, this paper explores the message patterns, the standardized conventions, and the general and discursive practices governing speech communications at sea. Firstly, marine communications are defined and the role of Maritime English in the shipping industry for ensuring a safe and efficient passage discussed. Then, the standardized language of the sea is explained. Next, a move-step model to the analysis of the stages making up communicative exchanges at sea is applied and the main general and discursive features that prevail in such exchanges described. Finally, two examples help to illustrate the model and features presented and discussed.

Abstract:
This article analyzes some of the social mechanisms and material processes involved in Jesuit global communication in the first decades of the Society’s history. The exchange of administrative correspondence, news-sheets (quadrimestres), and edifying letters from the overseas missions was coordinated by the Society’s Roman secretary, Juan Alfonso de Polanco. Communication made significant material demands on both Rome and key transmission nodes on the Jesuit network. In 1560, a decentralized system of scribal production of news and letters was established. Particular pressure was placed on Lisbon, a crucial communications hub for exchanges between Jesuits in Europe and the overseas missions. The last part of the article examines the experience of the Jesuit procurator in Lisbon, charged with managing the exchange of documents between Europe and Jesuits in Asia, Africa, and Brazil. The case of Lisbon, though exceptional, reflects many of the everyday realities of Jesuit communication during the Society’s formative period. Several documents are published in an appendix.

Abstract:
In the 21st century, the world became a sign of globalization: global conflicts, global disasters, global economy, global Internet, etc. The Polish researcher Casimir Zhigulsky defines globalization as a kind of process, that is, the target set of characteristic changes that develop over time and occur in the modern world. These changes in general are reduced to mutual rapprochement, reduction of distances, the rapid appearance of a large number of different connections, contacts, exchanges, and to increase the dependence of society in almost all spheres of his life from what is happening in other, often very remote regions of the world.

Abstract:
The impact of computer-mediated communication (CMC) on organizational cultures and users has been the focus of many previous studies. In their attempts to explain the effects of CMC in organizational communications, particularly the effects of e-mail, information systems researchers have tested theories that originated in a number of disciplines. Among the effects of CMC, one potentially important issue is the relationship between subordinates and their supervisors. This study empirically examines the impact of e-mail usage on the quality of these exchanges, and attempts to measure the resulting depth of the interpersonal relationships established between knowledge workers and their immediate superiors. The results show that among several usage factors investigated, e-mail communication frequency has a more direct correlation to exchange quality than other factors, among them communication richness, which did not have significant correlation. A path diagram was developed to illustrate the relationships of the variables.

Abstract:
While key negotiation schemes, such as those based on Diffie–Hellman, have been the subject of ongoing research, designing an efficient and security scheme remains challenging. In this paper, we propose a novel key negotiation scheme based on blockchain, which can be deployed in blockchain-enabled contexts such as data sharing or facilitating electric transactions between vehicles (e.g., unmanned vehicles). We propose three candidates for flexible selection, namely, key exchanges via transaction currency values through value channels (such as the amount in transactions), automated key exchanges through static scripts, and dynamic scripts, which can not only guarantee key availability with timeliness but also defend against MITM (man-in-the-middle) attacks, packet-dropping attacks, and decryption failure attacks.

Abstract:
Recently, a variety of the integrated service platforms demand the innovative network technologies such as software-defined networking (SDN). However, it is problematic and complicated to provide interconnectivity and reachability between inter-domain SDNs. Thus, this paper proposes a scheme for the inter-SDN federation and communication based on the abstracted network information exchange and automated peer network configuration for the integrated network services. The proposed scheme is implemented and verified over the de-facto wide-area SDN infrastructure (KREONET-S) which is deployed on Korea Research Environment Open Network (KREONET), a representative national research network in Korea. The proposed method is implemented and experimented based on the distributed and layer-2 oriented network architecture by using the abstracted message exchanges between local SDN controllers in order to provide low message overheads and high federation scalability. Our research work contributes to more efficient inter-SDN communications by means of the data modeling abstraction of the local SDN network information and the simplified interactions between individual controllers by the automated configurations through the specific application interfaces. The proposed scheme also contributes to the development of the integrated service platforms which are demanded to provide IoT, Big Data, AI, and cloud services in the tightly coupled manner over the inter-SDN domains.

Abstract:
Online platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit, provide users with a rich set of features for sharing and consuming political information, expressing political opinions, and exchanging potentially contrary political views. In such activities, two types of communication spaces naturally emerge: those dominated by exchanges between politically homogeneous users and those that allow and encourage crosscutting exchanges in politically heterogeneous groups. While research on political talk in online environments abounds, we know surprisingly little about the potentially varying nature of discussions in politically homogeneous spaces as compared to cross-cutting communication spaces. To fill this gap, we use Reddit to explore the nature of political discussions in homogeneous and cross-cutting communication spaces. In particular, we develop an analytical template to study interaction and linguistic patterns within and between politically homogeneous and heterogeneous communication spaces. Our analyses reveal different behavioral patterns in homogeneous and cross-cutting communications spaces. We discuss theoretical and practical implications in the context of research on political talk online.

Abstract:
Connected cars and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication scenarios are attracting more researchers. There will be numerous possibilities offered by V2X in the future. For instance, in the case of vehicles that move in a column, they could react to the braking of those in front of it through the rapid information exchanges, and most chain collisions could be avoided. V2X will be desiderated for routes optimizations, travel time reductions, and accident rate decrease in cases such as communication with infrastructures, traffic information exchanges, functioning of traffic lights, possible situations of danger, and the presence of construction sites or traffic jams. Furthermore, there could be massive conversations between smartphones and vehicles performing real-time dialogues. It is relatively reasonable to expect a connection system in which a pedestrian can report its position to all surrounding vehicles. Regarding this, it is compelling to perceive the positive effects of the driver being aware of the presence of pedestrians when vehicles are moving on the roads. This paper introduces the concepts for the development of a solution based on V2X communications aimed at vehicle and pedestrian safety. A potential system architecture for the development of a real system, concerning the safety of vehicles and pedestrians, is suggested to draft some guidelines that could be followed in new applications.

Abstract:
Background Youths with type 1 diabetes (T1D) frequently experience stigma. Internet-based peer communities can mitigate this through social support but require leaders to catalyze exchange. Whether nurturing potential leaders translates into a central role has not been well studied. Another issue understudied in such communities is lurking, the viewing of exchanges without commenting or posting. Objective We aimed to assess the centrality of the peer leaders we selected, trained, and incentivized within the Canadian Virtual Peer Network (VPN)-T1D. This is a private Facebook (Meta Platforms, Inc) group that we created for persons aged 14 to 24 years with T1D. We specifically sought to (1) compare a quantitative estimate of network centrality between peer leaders and regular members, (2) assess the proportions of network exchanges that were social support oriented, and (3) assess proportions of high engagement (posts, comments, reactions, and votes) and low engagement (lurking) exchanges. Methods We recruited peer leaders and members with T1D from prior study cohorts and clinics. We trained 10 leaders, provided them with a monthly stipend, and encouraged them to post on the private Facebook group we launched on June 21, 2017. We extracted all communications (posts, messages, reactions, polls, votes, and views) that occurred until March 20, 2020. We calculated each member’s centrality (80% of higher engagement communications comprising posts, comments, and reactions plus 20% of members with whom they connected). We divided each member’s centrality by the highest centrality to compute the relative centrality, and compared the mean values between leaders and members (linear regression). We calculated the proportions of communications that were posts, comments, reactions, and views without reaction. We performed content analysis with a social support framework (informational, emotional, esteem-related, network, and tangible support), applying a maximum of 3 codes per communication. Results VPN-T1D gained 212 regular members and 10 peer leaders over 33 months; of these 222 members, 26 (11.7%) exited. Peer leaders had 10-fold higher relative centrality than regular members (mean 0.53, SD 0.26 vs mean 0.04, SD 0.05; 0.49 difference; 95% CI 0.44-0.53). Overall, 91.4% (203/222) of the members connected at least once through posts, comments, or reactions. Among the 75,051 communications, there were 5109 (6.81%) posts, comments, and polls, 6233 (8.31%) reactions, and 63,709 (84.9%) views (lurking). Moreover, 54.9% (3430/6253) of codes applied were social support related, 66.4% (2277/3430) of which were informational (eg, insurance and travel preparation), and 20.4% (699/3430) of which were esteem related (eg, relieving blame). Conclusions Designating, training, and incentivizing peer leaders may stimulate content exchange and creation. Social support was a key VPN-T1D deliverable. Although lurking accounted for a high proportion of the overall activity, even those demonstrating this type of passive participation likely derived benefits, given that the network exit rate was low. Abstract:
The Internet makes scholarly electronic journals an opportune global mode of communication for scholarly exchange, where national and international borders are erased. The American Educational Research Association Special Interest Group, Communications among Researchers (AERA SIG CR) lists over one hundred electronic journals i n the field of education that are scholarly, peer-reviewed, full text and accessible without cost on the world wide web (see http://aera-cr.ed.asu.edu/links.html). Are these ejournals merely poor electronic imitations of print journals? Granted, the use of the Internet to publish peer-reviewed scholarship has the potential of democratizing access. But are such scholarly exchanges making effective use of the electronic medium? What innovative things can be done with new technology? How can electronic journals be preserved, used, and managed over time?

What we know about the very good relations between China and Pakistan and the concrete implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative is only reported by the media of the two countries, rather than the personal experience of the people from both China and Pakistan. From the perspective of anthropology, in this article, authors suggested that the exchanges and interactions between two countries should be reflected in the concrete cultural exchanges. In recent years, we have invited scholars from Pakistan to China and carried out a variety of activities such as forums, lectures, seminars and conferences, in order to reinforce the mutual understandings between two countries. Afterwards, the evaluations and reflections from participants proved that these academic activities are meaningful to the concrete practice of the friendship between China and Pakistan.

Abstract:
This study seeks to understand the nature of research communications during the global crisis that occurred due to COVID-19. The velocity of the current knowledge delivery patterns vs the information reliability is considered. The instruments of open science are revealed, the open access to the research results being the most important among them. The academic research networks, citizen science patterns, online and offline research conferences are under consideration as well. The existing academic communications, training, and exchanges are interconnected with the problem of massive carbon footprint. For Russia, the new principlesof knowledge dissemination carry the possibility of increasing the visibility of domestic science even while maintaining the current level of scientific productivity. In order to reach higher visibility Russia has to participate more in global scientific exchanges.

Abstract:
Abstract Laboratory services form an integral part of medical care in the decision-making of physicians, including those working at ambulatory care centers. Information exchange is essential between ambulatory care centers and laboratories. Inevitable errors have always existed in the exchange of such information on paper, which can be to some extent avoided by developing appropriate computer-based interfaces. Therefore, this review aimed to examine studies conducted to determine the effect of electronic communication between ambulatory care centers and laboratories. This systematic review was conducted on the basis of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. Studies were searched in the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, and Web of Science, and those written in English and published between 2000 and February 2019 with full texts available were selected. From a total of 3898 papers retrieved from the studied databases, 24 papers were eligible for entering this study after removing similar and nonrelated studies. Electronic exchanges between ambulatory care centers and laboratories can have numerous benefits in terms of financial, organizational, and quality. This evidence for the value of electronic communications is an important factor contributing to its local investment and adoption.

Abstract:
Based on the concept of digital turn in sociology proposed by Professor S.Kravchenko, the authors use the example of specific sociological studies of Russian research centers to conduct a correlation analysis between the digital literacy of the population and its activity in social network communications. Network communications of the population in digital format displace analog formats and contribute to active digital transformations in society as a whole. Digital literacy is considered as an integral indicator that includes information, technical, communication and innovation components. In addition to age and gender differentiation, the level of digital literacy is also influenced by settlement and territorial factors, confirming the existence of an urgent problem of digital inequality. The situation with the ethical side of information literacy is also not clear. This indicator shows how deeply a person reflects on the information found and used. The mass transition to digital technologies observed and actively implemented in the last few years, including their application in network communications, increases not only the innovative, spatial and technological, but also the cognitive distance between generations, not only within the framework of family and interpersonal communications, but also on the scale of industrial, industry and institutional interactions. In today’s digital world, the structural elements of social networks include platforms, online services, or websites designed to build, reflect, and organize people’s social connections. It is the presence of an almost limitless number of information exchanges in social networks that forms a certain system of cybernetic power (cyber power). Cyber power is a complex system of resources structured around the production, exchange, and control of digital information. The cyber power is gradually transformed into a powerful hegemony, i.e., the power of the Internet. a superpower that is not limited to controlling purely cybernetic resources that include structural levels of cyberspace. Not only the communication system is changing, but also the way of thinking, which is becoming an actual subject of research not only for sociologists and psychologists, but also for representatives of many related scientific fields. The concept of a digital turn in sociology, which assumes a humanistic basis for the ongoing transformations, could become a methodological basis for a comprehensive study of the social aspects and consequences of digitalization of modern society.

Abstract:
Global teams frequently consist of language-based subgroups who put together complementary information to achieve common goals. Previous research outlines a two-step work communication flow in these teams. There are team meetings using a required common language (i.e., English); in preparation for those meetings, people have subgroup conversations in their native languages. Work communication at team meetings is often less effective than in subgroup conversations. In the current study, we investigate the idea of leveraging machine translation (MT) to facilitate global team meetings. We hypothesize that exchanging subgroup conversation logs before a team meeting offers contextual information that benefits teamwork at the meeting. MT can translate these logs, which enables comprehension at a low cost. To test our hypothesis, we conducted a between-subjects experiment where twenty quartets of participants performed a personnel selection task. Each quartet included two English native speakers (NS) and two non-native speakers (NNS) whose native language was Mandarin. All participants began the task with subgroup conversations in their native languages, then proceeded to team meetings in English. We manipulated the exchange of subgroup conversation logs prior to team meetings: with MT-mediated exchanges versus without. Analysis of participants' subjective experience, task performance, and depth of discussions as reflected through their conversational moves jointly indicates that team meeting quality improved when there were MT-mediated exchanges of subgroup conversation logs as opposed to no exchanges. We conclude with reflections on when and how MT could be applied to enhance global teamwork across a language barrier.

Abstract:
We present a method to acquire 3D position measurements for decentralized target tracking with an asynchronous camera network. Cameras with known poses have fields of view with overlapping projections on the ground and 3D volumes above a reference ground plane. The purpose is to track targets in 3D space without constraining motion to a reference ground plane. Cameras exchange line-of-sight vectors and respective time tags asynchronously. From stereoscopy, we obtain the fused 3D measurement at the local frame capture instant. We use local decentralized Kalman information filtering and particle filtering for target state estimation to test our approach with only local estimation. Monte Carlo simulation includes communication losses due to frame processing delays. We measure performance with the average root mean square error of 3D position estimates projected on the image planes of the cameras. We then compare only local estimation to exchanging additional asynchronous communications using the Batch Asynchronous Filter and the Sequential Asynchronous Particle Filter for further fusion of information pairs' estimates and fused 3D position measurements, respectively. Similar performance occurs in spite of the additional communication load relative to our local estimation approach, which exchanges just line-of-sight vectors.

Abstract:
Abstract In Congolese electoral discourse, speakers do not use one language, but many. The communications are spontaneous, so the languages that result from these exchanges are, of course, from the linguistic repertoire of the speakers, but sometimes they are dictated by the interlocutors. In order to keep a constant communicational contact, the candidates prefer to satisfy in their communications the speakers of all the national languages. Thus, these national languages transcend their limits and their geolinguistic areas. The election speech is delivered in threelinguistic levels, namely official language, national languages and ethnic languages.

Abstract:
Data exchange is one of the huge challenges in Internet of Things (IoT) with billions of heterogeneous devices already connected and many more to come in the future. Improving data transfer efficiency, scalability, and survivability in the fragile network environment and constrained resources in IoT systems is always a fundamental issues. In this paper, we present a novel message routing algorithm that optimizes IoT data transfers in a resource constrained and fragile network environment in publish-subscribe model. The proposed algorithm can adapt the dynamical network topology of continuously changing IoT devices with the rerouting method. We also present a rerouting algorithm in Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) to take over the topic-based session flows with a controller when a broker crashed down. Data can still be communicated by another broker with rerouting mechanism. Higher availability in IoT can be achieved with our proposed model. Through demonstrated efficiency of our algorithms about message routing and dynamically adapting the continually changing device and network topology, IoT systems can gain scalability and survivability. We have evaluated our algorithms with open source Eclipse Mosquitto. With the extensive experiments and simulations performed in Mosquitto, the results show that our algorithms perform optimally. The proposed algorithms can be widely used in IoT systems with publish-subscribe model. Furthermore, the algorithms can also be adopted in other protocols such as Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP).

Abstract:
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is one of the fastest growing capital markets. The relatively large proportion of foreign investment in the IDX is expected to cause a high frequency of inflows and outflows of funds from the IDX. There is a possibility that the inflows and outflows of the IDX will move to the stock exchanges of other countries which provide better profit opportunities. This study is to find out how big the correlation and cointegration of the world's major stock market indices, namely the European stock market represented by the London stock market (FTSE-100), the American stock market represented by the New York stock market (DJI), the Asian stock market represented by stock market in Singapore (STI) and Hong Kong (HKEX) against the composite stock price index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The conclusions obtained are (i) there is a positive (weak to moderate) and significant correlation between FTSE-100 with IDX, DJI with IDX, STI with IDX and HKEX with IDX, (ii) there is cointegration between FTSE-100 with IDX, DJI with IDX , STI with IDX and HKEX with IDX. Cointegration between the IDX composite stock price index and the stock market index in four other countries minimizes the possibility for investors to gain arbitrage profits by investing in foreign exchanges. (iii) FTSE-100, DJI, STI, HKEX and IDX do not have a unit root test, this means that the data in period t-1 does not affect the data in period t. This also means that the stock market in this study is a random walk Keywords: correlation, cointegration, arbitrage profit, Indonesian stock exchange, world's major stock market, random walk

Abstract:
AbstractThis article examines the effect that cultural and technological changes have had on interpersonal communication and aims to provide an interdisciplinary explanation for the recent proliferation of defamation in electronic media. The authors argue that the absence of certain extra-linguistic cues and established cultural convention in the electronic environment often results in miscommunication which — if not itself defamatory — gives rise to emotional exchanges between interlocutors in a manner that provokes defamation. The authors begin their analysis with a discussion of defamation law as a recipient-oriented tort, demonstrating the importance of the context of communication in the determination of whether a particular remark carries a defamatory sense. In order to better understand how an online communication is received and understood by its recipients, the authors then investigate three differences between electronic and other media of communications: i) that the technology-mediated and text-bases character of electronic communication makes the process of communication more difficult and the incidence of miscommunication more likely; ii) that the nature of social interaction in the online setting has a tendency to increase hostile communications that might be considered defamatory; iii) that the cultural context and standards of communication that develop in online communities will reduce the significance of these hostile communications. Applying these considerations to the law of defamation, the authors conclude by rejecting the naive point of view that a libel published through the Internet ought to be dealt with in exactly the same way that a libel published in a newspaper is dealt with. The authors end by calling for further empirical research about the content that is produced as a consequence of contextual challenges in electronic communication.

Abstract:
Integrated marketing communications (IMC) are a core part of business success in the 21st century, but are facing exceptional challenges, some of which predate the devastation wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic. The various stages of IMC offer rich potential to enhance marketing techniques, harness the power of data analytics and build brand success. However, while most firms would claim to be deploying IMC, many are offering little more than sales-orientated mass marketing, having failed to move beyond the most basic form of its operation (Stage 1). Amid shrinking economies and slashed marketing budgets, even the minority of firms that has moved into Stage 2 (targeted marketing exchanges), Stage 3 (the application of information technology), Stage 4 (information-led communication planning), or even the putative Stage 5 (fully integrated marketing) now risk reverting to Stage 1. It is therefore critically important to develop an advanced understanding of IMC and its potential. Equally significant is the need to address the global trend towards focusing on attracting customers while neglecting post-purchase experience. A twin approach of successfully harnessing all the stages of IMC while also paying full attention to customer retention will maximise the chances of building brand success in the current challenging climate.

Abstract:
The aim of the research is to analyze peculiarities of cultural exchange between Canada and the Ukrainian SSR in the 1960s and 1980s, which took place during the Cold War. The research methodology is defined by an interdisciplinary approach (history, culture, foreign relations) and is based on general scientific and special scientific methods, first of all, retrospection and historical comparison. The scientific novelty of the research is that on the basis of archival materials determined the forms and content of cultural exchange between the Ukrainian SSR and Canada, in particular its propaganda content. The Conclusions. During the Cold War the cultural sphere became an arena of confrontation, and art (or what was meant by it) became part of ideological propaganda campaigns. Cultural exchange was seen by the Soviets as a way of representing «achievements of socialist culture» to Canadian Ukrainians and as an effective propaganda tool. Formally, on the Soviet side, cultural exchanges were carried out by specially created organizations, which, however, were managed and financed through the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the International Department of the Committee of State Security (KGB). The request to maintain cultural ties with the Ukrainian SSR in Canada was largely due to the desire of the Ukrainian community overseas to maintain spiritual ties with the Motherland. Different approaches to the interpretation of cult exchange – from approval to complete denial – have provoked a lively discussion in the diaspora. Adherents of cultural programs from the Ukrainian SSR were Canadian left-wing organizations, such as the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians. The League of Liberation of Ukraine was a categorical opponent of the cultural exchange, whose representatives saw in the artists from the USSR Soviet emissaries called to «destroy» the Ukrainian community in Canada. Organizations within the Ukrainian Canadian Committee (UCC) condemned cultural exchange as a one-sided tool of Soviet propaganda, but viewed cultural ties as a way to influence Soviet artists. Because of one-sided Soviet cultural infiltration, on several occasions the UCC voiced its protest against Canada’s cultural exchanges with this country. Ukrainian Canadian artists, choirs and dance ensembles are not permitted to perform in Ukraine unless they were politically acceptable to the Soviet authorities.

Abstract:
Credit card is getting increasingly more famous in budgetary exchanges, simultaneously frauds are likewise expanding. Customary techniques use rule-based master frameworks to identify fraud practices, ignoring assorted circumstances, the outrageous lopsidedness of positive and negative examples. In this paper, we propose a CNN-based fraud detection system, to catch the natural examples of fraud practices gained from named information. Bountiful exchange information is spoken to by an element lattice, on which a convolutional neural organization is applied to recognize a bunch of idle examples for each example. Trials on true monstrous exchanges of a significant business bank show its boss presentation contrasted and some best-in-class strategies. The aim of this paper is to merge between Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM), and Auto-encoder (AE) to increase credit card fraud detection and enhance the performance of the previous models. By using these four models; CNN, AE, LSTM, and AE&LSTM. each of these models is trained by different parameter values highest accuracy has been achieved where the AE model has accuracy =0.99, the CNN model has accuracy =0.85, the accuracy of the LSTM model is 0.85, and finally, the AE&LSTM model obtained an accuracy of 0.32 by 400 epoch. It is concluded that the AE classifies the best result between these models.

Abstract:
The role of communication is crucial for the longevity of businesses and contributes to the integration of the supply chain. While the significance of inter-organizational communication within this chain is widely acknowledged in the literature, there are still gaps in understanding the impact of personal ties among employees on these communications. This study specifically addresses a gap concerning the insufficient exploration of the role of personal ties outside the professional environment, with a particular focus on friendships among employees of partner companies within the supply chain and their influence on company-related communication processes. Through semi-structured interviews and employing the grounded theory method, this research identifies four emerging aspects of the processes, highlighting the facilitating role of personal ties in professional exchanges. The findings allow for the development of a preliminary theory on the interaction between personal social networks and inter-organizational communication within the supply chain, thereby paving the way for significant implications for future research.

Abstract:
The aim of this article was to identify the role and specific mechanisms of the stock exchange in promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) and CSR communications among companies listed on the Romanian capital market given country membership of the European Union. Taking into account the quality of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) as a member of the Sustainable Stock Exchanges, as well as BSE’s concerns about promoting CSR, a CSR index was built to capture the specific actions of companies listed on this market. The public companies were considered representative for the promotion of CSR based on their size and other relevant features. The index can be seen by companies that can further develop it, test its validity, and employ it as a tool to reassure investors who will decide to spend their money to buy shares and stocks of organizations ranked in the BSE.

Abstract:
English is a global language. In the process of China’s internationalization, overcoming the difficulty of understanding English is the only way to achieve cultural exchanges, economic exchanges, and even scientific and technological exchanges. Especially in the context of globalization, translation between languages has become the focus of transnational communication. However, there are still problems such as low accuracy and singularity in current machine translation. Aiming at the above problems, based on the improved GLR algorithm (IGLR), this paper proposes a recognition method to solve the English translation problem. First, a corpus is built, and the number of label words reaches tens of thousands. In this way, the automatic search function of the phrase is realized. In addition, create an intelligent method for translation; and plan the intelligent recognition model with data collection, processing, and output; extract characteristic parameters to realize intelligent translation. Conduct an experimental analysis on the designed English translation method and record the experimental data. Through the experiment, it can be seen that the designed translation method can achieve accurate translation results and meet the actual needs.

Abstract:
We researched political and legal communications about the sex profession through the Inclusion/Exclusion Form. The theoretical content is based on Niklas Luhmann's theory of society as a social communication system and Luis Antônio Marcuschi's theory of language as a social work. In this research we explored dates of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. The corpora were made up of data catalogued on institutional websites, documents obtained from directors of associations and unions of sex workers, in addition to e-mail exchanges and online conversations with directors and sex professionals via virtual meetings. In the area of political communications, we observe inclusions and exclusions at the same time, as regulation has promoted several exclusions. The participation of workers in the discussions, when that had happened, was not reflected a posteriori either in public policies or in the implementation of regulations. As for legal communications, we observe that those who practice the profession experience inclusions and exclusions at the same time, since the profession is criminalized at the same time that it is recognized as a profession. The conclusion is that the inclusion/exclusion form broadens the spectrum of observation by allowing inclusion to be observed at the same time as exclusion.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is twofold: first, this study analyzes the extent to which banks report online their corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices; second, it determines the impact of size, ownership structure, multiple exchange listing, and the internationalization of banks on the level of their online CSR reporting. Design/methodology/approach – This study examines the Turkish banking industry’s online CSR communications by performing a content analysis of banks’ online reporting of their CSR practices in four sub-dimensions, namely, environment and energy, human resources, products and customers, and community involvement. A sample of 25 banks in Turkey was grouped according to the criteria of size, ownership structure (listed or unlisted on stock exchanges), multiple exchange listing (listing on home and foreign exchanges), and internationality (local or foreign). This study employs a nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis test to determine the significance of the differences among these groups. Findings – The results of the study demonstrate that the most disclosed dimension on the websites of the banks is products and customers. In particular, there is a lack of disclosure on items of environment and energy. Further, the findings of the research show that size, ownership structure, and multiple exchange listing are significant in explaining online CSR disclosure level. Originality/value – Several previous studies have focussed less on the CSR disclosure practices of companies in industries with little direct environmental impact, such as banking and finance. This study extends the previous studies of CSR reporting by gathering data from the banks’ websites rather than their annual reports. This study contributes to the literature by examining the online CSR disclosure practices of banks from an emerging market context and, specifically, that of Turkey.

Abstract:
Multi-station integration is motivated by the requirements of distributed energies interconnection and improvements in the efficiency of energy systems. Due to the diversity of communication services and the complexity of data exchanges between in-of-station and out-of-station, multi-station integrated systems have high security requirements. However, issues related to cyber security for multi-station integrated systems are seldom explored. Hence, this paper designs the secondary system architecture and proposes cyber security protection solutions for smart energy stations (SESt) that integrate the substation, photovoltaic station, energy storage station, electric vehicle charging station, and data center station. Firstly, the composition of SESt and functions of each substation are presented, a layered architecture of SESt is designed, and data exchanges of SESt are analyzed. Then, the cyber security threats and requirements of SESt are illustrated. Moreover, the cyber security protection principle and a cyber security protection system for SESt are proposed. On this basis, a security zoning and isolation scheme for SESt is designed. Finally, a traffic isolation scheme based on virtual local area networks (VLANs), a real-time guarantee scheme for communications based on service priority, and an enhancing cyber security scheme based on improved IEC 62351 are proposed for SESt.

Abstract:
Enrolling in publicly funded early childhood education involves searching for programs, applying, verifying eligibility, and registering with the program. Many families do not complete this process, despite demonstrated interest. In this study, we assessed support for families as they verify eligibility as a means for increasing enrollment completion rates. Working with district administrators, we randomly assigned families to receive either (a) the district’s usual, modest communications; (b) the usual communications plus weekly text message reminders with a formal tone; or (c) the usual communications plus weekly personalized, friendly text message reminders. Text message reminders increased verification rates by seven percentage points (regardless of tone), and personalized messages increased enrollment rates for some groups. Exchanges between parents and administrators revealed the obstacles parents confronted.

Abstract:
Multi-band communication technology allocates the same data to different frequency bands, improving both performance and propagation efficiency. However, since the performance loss in a particular band affects the entire band, the multi-band structure may have worse performance than the single-band one. To avoid performance degradation, this paper proposed estimated coded bit error rates (EC-BER) algorithm. EC-BER algorithm is a method of analyzing the reliability of the received data based on the performance difference between demodulated and decoded data. It analyzes the performance of each band and allocates lower weighting values to inferior bands. Furthermore, an iterative turbo-coded equalization algorithm, which iteratively exchanges probabilistic information between the equalizer and turbo decoder, is applied. By employing a direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) with frequency shift keying (FSK) and multi-band techniques for reliable underwater communications, a lake trial was conducted. Experimental results show that the performance is improved as the number of spreading factors and turbo iterations increase. Especially the addition of the EC-BER algorithm dramatically improved the reliability of the system, resulting in minimal to zero errors.

Abstract:
This research conducts a comprehensive analysis of North African financial markets, exploring their intricacies, strengths, and weaknesses while focusing on potential future developments. Examining historical evolution, regulatory landscapes, market participants and overall performance across all North African countries from 2010 to 2023, the study utilizes statistical analyses as its methodological approach. North Africa’s stock markets exhibit unique characteristics distinguishing them from developed and emerging markets, marked by underperformance and challenges rooted in legislative, regulatory, and economic factors. Obstacles include a weak financial sector, insufficient financial intermediation, low investor awareness, limited political will, and financial solvency vulnerabilities. Despite efforts to activate and integrate securities markets, results remain modest, necessitating fundamental elements for an enhanced investment climate. Empirical findings emphasize the necessity for tailored economic policies and market reforms in response to the varied performance of North African exchanges. Governments in the region must prioritize evaluating and adjusting policies hindering the fluid flow of funds from stock exchanges to the broader economy. Upholding political stability and embracing good governance are vital for attracting investments and aligning exchanges with national economic growth objectives. North Africa’s stock exchanges stand at a pivotal juncture, where the intricate interplay of political and economic dynamics will shape their contributions to regional development. Through understanding nuanced dynamics, implementing targeted reforms, and capitalizing on opportunities, North Africa can unlock the full potential of its financial markets, fostering sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

To fulfill the rapid development of high-speed large-capacity optical communications with emerging multiplexing/demultiplexing techniques and advanced modulation formats, a laudable goal would be to achieve data exchange in different degrees of freedom (wavelength, time, polarization), for different modulation formats (OOK, DPSK, DQPSK, pol-muxed), and at different granularities (entire data, groups of bits, tributary channels). Optical nonlinearities are potentially suitable candidates to enable data exchange in the wavelength, time, and polarization domains. In this paper, we will review our recent works towards robust data exchange by exploiting miscellaneous optical nonlinearities, including the use of cSFG/DFG in a PPLN waveguide for time- (groups of bits) and channel-selective data exchange and tributary channel exchange between two WDM+OTDM signals, nondegenerate FWM in an HNLF for phase-transparent data exchange (DPSK, DQPSK), bidirectional degenerate FWM in an HNLF for multi-channel data exchange, and Kerr-induced nonlinear polarization rotation in an HNLF for tributary channel exchange of a pol-muxed DPSK OTDM signal. The demonstrated data exchanges in different degrees of freedom, for different modulation formats, and at different granularities, open the door for alternative approaches to achieve superior network performance.
