Political communication is a kind of communication which involves political messages and actors, or it is related to power, state, and government policy. Based on this definition, as an applied science, political communication is not something new. It can be also understood as a communication between ''the ruler" and ''the ruled". To communicate politics without a concrete political action can be actually carried by anyone, such as students, lecturers, and so on. The same also applies to political communcation of da'wah, which is not relatively different from political communication in general. It is obligatory that all preachers should be able to plan their da'wah activities which are more structured and concrete. This aims not only to transfer knowledge or da'wah messages, but also to give strong impacts to decision makers who are sinergized with power

Efficient power amplifiers are essential in portable battery-operated systems such as mobile phones. Also, the power amplifier (PA) is the most power-consuming building block in the transmitter of a portable system. This paper investigates how the efficiency of the power amplifier (which is beneficial for multiple applications in communcation sector) can be improved by increasing the efficiency of switching mode class E power amplifiers for frequencies of 900 MHz and 1800 MHz. The paper tackles modeling, design improvements and verification through simulation for higher efficiencies. This is the continuation of previous work by the authors. These nonlinear power amplifiers can only amplify constant-envelope RF signals without introducing significant distortion. Mobile systems such as Advanced Mobile Phone System (AMPS) and Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) use modulation schemes which generate constant amplitude RF outputs in order to use efficient but nonlinear power amplifiers. Improvements in designs are suggested and higher efficiencies are achieved, to the tune of 67.1% (for 900 MHz) and 67.0% (1800 MHz).

The purpose of this study is to describe how Sumedang government build Sumedang as the center of Sundanese culture through Place Branding that includes the process of conducting SWOT analysis, Creating Brand Vision, Setting Program Goals and benchmarks, Implementing Brand Vision, and Brand Equity Evaluation. This research uses descriptive research method. Technique of collecting data of in-depth interview, observation and literature study. In this research concludes that: Sumedang government in conducting SWOT analysis there are room for improvement, in creating brand vision SPBS has taken into account the organization culture, identity, and government vision and mission but the brand vision are not articulated enough for the stakeholder as diferent meaning are comprehended, on setting program goals and benchmarks, the program goals are not articulated enough as the goals are to major and have no milestones which relatively easier to achieve, the benchmarks used by the government is also not detail enough which in return couldn’t give the governement best practices ideas for managing SPBS. In implementing brand vision, the government didn’t implement evaluation in order to response the distress in their internal body, on the external campaign program there are much area to be explored such as using PR surrogates as storyteller in telling the brand story and better management in social media., and then minimum qualifications for communcation staff of SPBS has to be made. Lastly, on brand equity evaluation there are room for improvement such as utilizing financial and consumer based evaluation to balance the image and substance of Place Branding.

Abstract:
A shared aperture 2-element multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna design for 5G standards is presented in this study, one which uses the same radiating structure to cover both the sub-6GHz and millimeter-wave (millimeter-wave) bands. The proposed antenna comprises four concentric pentagonal slots that are uniformly separated from one another. For the sub-6GHz band, the antenna is excited by a single open-end microstrip transmission-line, while a 1 × 8 power divider (PD) connected via a T-junction structure excites the millimeter-wave band. Both the sub-6GHz and mm-wave antennas operate in a MIMO configuration. The proposed antenna design was fabricated on a 120 × 60 mm2 substrate with an edge-to-edge distance of 49 mm. The proposed sub-6GHz antenna covers the following frequency bands: 4–4.5 GHz, 3.1–3.8 GHz, 2.48–2.9 GHz, 1.82–2.14 GHz, and 1.4–1.58 GHz, while the millimeter-wave antenna operates at 28 GHz with at least 500 MHz of bandwidth. A complete antenna analysis is provided via a step-by-step design procedure, an equivalent circuit diagram showing the operation of the shared aperture antenna, and current density analysis at both millimeter-wave and sub-6GHz bands. The proposed antenna design is also characterized in terms of MIMO performance metrics with a good MIMO operation with maximum envelop correlation coefficient value of 0.113. The maximum measured gain and efficiency values obtained were 91% and 8.5 dBi over the entire band of operation. The antenna is backward compatible with 4G bands and also encompasses the sub-6GHz and 28 GHz bands for future 5G wireless communcation systems.

The last three decades of social psychology can be characterised by specific thematic directionsin Hungary. The first direction includes different aspects of social identity (generational, national, cultural, gender), intergroup relationships between these macrostructural social groups, stereotypes and the mechanisms of the multiculturial education. The second major thematic unite encompasses the social psychology of change, both the societal-political change after the „fall ofcommunism”, and the revolutionary effects of the internet, and the technology of communcation in general. The third important field is the dynamics of the interpersonal and organizational behavior, with a special regard to the cooperation-competion continuum. The fourth trend involves the personal values, their role in the individuals’ world views, and the transmission of values via education. During this period a significant methodolodical development took place and the interdisciplinary relations strengthened among social psychology and other social sciences (especially educational science, economy and law).

Abstract:
Background Switzerland has a liberal implementation of Coronavirus mitigation measures compared to other European countries. Since March 2020, measures have been evolving and include a mixture of central and federalistic mitigation strategies across three culturally diverse language regions. The present study investigates a hypothesised heterogeneity in health, social behavior and adherence to mitigation measures across the language regions by studying pre-specified interaction effects. Our findings aim to support the communication of regionally targeted mitigation strategies and to provide evidence to address longterm population-health consequences of the pandemic by accounting for different pandemic contexts and cultural aspects. Methods We use data from from the COVID-19 Social Monitor, a longitudinal population-based online survey. We define five mitigation periods between March 2020 and May 2021. We use unadjusted and adjusted logistic regression models to investigate a hypothesized interaction effect between mitigation periods and language regions on selected study outcomes covering the domains of general health and quality of life, mental health, loneliness/isolation, physical activity, health care use and adherence to mitigation measures. Results We analyze 2,163 (64%) participants from the German/Romansh-speaking part of Switzerland, 713 (21%) from the French-speaking part and 505 (15%) from the Italian-speaking part. We found evidence for an interaction effect between mitigation periods and language regions for adherence to mitigation measures, but not for other study outcomes (social behavior, health). The presence of poor quality of life, lack of energy, no physical activity, health care use, and the adherence to mitigation measures changed similarly over mitigation periods in all language regions. Discussion As the pandemic unfolded in Switzerland, also health and social behavior changed between March 2020 to May 2021. Changes in adherence to mitigation measures differ between language regions and reflect the COVID-19 incidence patterns in the investigated mitigation periods, with higher adherence in regions with previously higher incidence. Targeted communcation of mitigation measures and policy making should include cultural, geographical and socioeconomic aspects to address yet unknown long-term population health consequences caused by the pandemic.

Nine of these variables (anxiety, interest in financial issues, intuitive decisions, precautionary saving, free spending, materialistic and fatalistic attitude, propensity to plan for long and short-term financial goals) were put through confirmatory factor analysis. These factors were then used as a basis for cluster analysis. The study was conducted in the city of Nashik, India, in 2014-2015, using convenience sampling. A self-reported questionnaire was used for the survey. Findings – Results of the study showed that only a third of the respondents did not buy any financial products. The most preferred financial products of Indian women were fixed deposits and insurance policies. Four clusters of women were identified, based on their financial attitudes – judicious consumers, conservative consumers, acquisitive consumers, unsure consumers. An analysis of the dispersion of the clusters shows that interest in financial issues has the greatest influence in the formation of clusters followed by the propensity to plan and materialistic attitude. Fatalistic attitude had the least influence in the formation of clusters. Research limitations/implications – The current study uses convenience sampling which is non-probability-based sampling and hence, lack generalizability of results. The sample for the current study is small, given the resource availability of the researcher and the unwillingness of women to participate in the survey. Practical implications – The paper provides important insights for the marketers of financial services, in understanding the women consumers in the expanding Indian market. Social implications – An understanding of the women consumers would help marketers develop products and financial literacy programs that suit the requirements of each specific group. By doing so the programs and communcation would be more effective. Originality/value – This paper discusses the financial attitudes and behavior of Indian women and further clusters these women based on their financial attitudes.

Abstract:
Although the field of Communication Sciences has been slower to organize in Spain than in other European countries and the United States, in recent years it has shown a clear tendency to growth. One way to trace this process is by analyzing scientific production, and this paper focuses on this aspect. Using bibliometric methods, we analyze scientific journals and papers indexed in Thomson Reuter’s international database, the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) for Communication. While the focus of the study is Spanish scientific output, the results are related to international activities in this field. The three Spanish journals included in SSCI in recent years: «Comunicar», «Comunicación y Sociedad» and «Estudios sobre el Mensaje Periodístico» were studied in detail. The results show that Spain plays an important role in Communcation journal publishing (4th in the world) and as a producer of scientific papers (6th in the world), with a remarkable evolution, in quantitative terms, especially in the last five years. The inclusion of these three Spanish journals in the international database has been an important contribution to the country's visibility in this field, but there is still a need to promote international collaboration to achieve greater impact and openness in the scientific community.

Abstract:
The growth of games as a fast growing industry in Indonesia has made online gaming business lines increasingly developed, so that a business market for buying and selling virtual goods (virtual items in games) is formed in several virtual goods marketplaces such as itemku.com. The formation of the business market on the virtual goods marketplace has created various perceptions to support their gaming activities. This study uses qualitative methods, observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. The theory used is perception. This study will discuss how variables such as sensation, anticipation and interpretation are formed from gamers about how microtransactions are carried out and also associated with CMC (Computer Mediated Communcations) to find out how communication patterns occur in these mictrotransactions. As a result, the majority of gamers have the same perception of microtransactions. Gamers who make virtual goods transactions aim to get satisfaction as well as actualization, virtual items that have more value in the game also trigger to perform microtransactions as part of the pride, and factor of self-existence when doing gaming activities using CMC.

Abstract:
In the bil.bienne project, people living in bilingual (German-French) Biel/Bienne were recorded in conversations dealing with their linguistic biographies, their experiences with bilingualism and their opinions about bilingualism. The conversations were transcribed thematically. On the basis of these transcripts, analyses of the norms of communcative behavior in Biel/Bienne were carried out. We were especially interested in norms concerning communication in public and semi-public places. There are a range of conflicting communicative norms: the customer has the right to choose the language of communication; in everyday conversations participants speak their own language; in conflict situations persons may insist on having the choice. Another range of expectations concerns bilinguality: who is to be considered bilingual? However, the overall image of bilinguality is also questioned, especially by speakers of the minority language French. Norms are often formulated indirectly in conversational narrations, but are also formulated in explicit normative statements.

Abstract:
One measure of the success of advertising is its ability to create perspective space in the minds of audiences and consumers. Advertising as a message delivery tool does not only function to provide information, is persuasive and reminds audiences, but must also have an impact on consumers in the form of purchasing actions and attitudes towards products as expected by producers. This study aims to analyze the impact of AQUA product advertisements with the tagline “Ada AQUA” to consumers by using the EPIC model (Emphaty, Persuation, Impact, Communication). The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The results showed that AQUA ads with the tagline "Ada AQUA" were in the effective category as evidenced by the results of Emphaty dimensions of 4.15, which meant consumers liked and were interested in AQUA ads, Persuation dimensions of 3.89 showed AQUA ads were able to strengthen their image and character in the minds of consumers, the Impact dimension of 3.93 shows consumers more easily recognize AQUA ads with that tagline and Communcations dimensions of 4.06 indicate consumers are able to remember AQUA ads well. Broadly speaking, the conclusions obtained are AQUA ads with the tagline “Ada AQUA” effective in delivering the message to the target audience (consumers)

The practice of effective communication is to change attitudes, change thinking, and change behavior both in speech and in action. The aim of the strategy in general is to determine and communicate a picture of vision and policy. The strategy describes the direction supported by various available resources. The communication strategy undertaken is macro and the process takes place vertically pyramid. In the context of science, Islamic communication has a main reference which is a way of life for Muslims, namely the Qur'an and the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. These two main sources provide characteristics of Islamic communication. In addition to the Qur'an and Hadith, the books delivered by the scholars and other disciplines also contributed to the development of communication science in general and Islamic communication in particular. Islam is a guide to life, which has provided various instructions in all areas of human communication. Abstract:
Abstract Background Antihypertensive medication use and sleep problems are highly prevalent in nursing home patients. While it is hypothesized that blood pressure and antihypertensive medication use can affect sleep, this has not been investigated in depth in this population. Alongside a multicomponent intervention including a systematic medication review, we aimed to investigate the longitudinal association between antihypertensive medication use, blood pressure and day- and night-time sleep over 4 months. Methods This study was based on secondary analyses from the multicomponent cluster randomized controlled COSMOS trial, in which the acronym denotes the intervention: COmmuncation, Systematic pain assessment and treatment, Medication review, Organization of activities and Safety. We included baseline and 4-month follow-up data from a subgroup of nursing home patients who wore actigraphs (n = 107). The subgroup had different levels of blood pressure, from low (< 120) to high (≥ 141). Assessments included blood pressure, antihypertensive medication use, and sleep parameters as assessed by actigraphy. Results We found a significant reduction in total sleep time at month four in the intervention group compared to the control group. When analysing the control group alone, we found a significant association between antihypertensive medication use and increased daytime sleep. We also found negative associations between blood pressure, antihypertensive medication use and sleep onset latency in the control group. Conclusions Our results suggest a correlation between excessive daytime sleep and antihypertensive medication use. These findings should be followed up with further research, and with clinical caution, as antihypertensive medications are frequently used in nursing homes, and sleep problems may be especially detrimental for this population. Trial registration The trial is registered at clinicaltrials.gov (NCT02238652).

Abstract:
Modern communication and computer systems require rapid (Gbps), efficient and large bandwidth data transfers. Agressive scaling of digital integrated systems allow buses and communication controller circuits to be integrated with the microprocessor on the same chip. The Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) protocol handles all communcation between the central processing unit (CPU) and hardware devices. PCIe buses require efficient clock data recovery circuits (CDR) to recover clock signals embedded in data during transmission. This paper describes the theoretical modeling and simulation of a phase-locked loop (PLL) used in a CDR circuit. A simple PLL architecture for a 5 GHz CDR circuit is proposed and elaborated in this work. Simulations were carried out using a Hardware Description Language, Verilog-AMS. The effect of jitter on the proposed design is also simulated and evaluated in this work. It was found that the proposed design is robust against both input and VCO jitter.ABSTRAK: Sistem komunikasi dan komputer moden memerlukan pemindahan data yang cekap (Gbps), dan bandwidth yang besar.
