Il disturbo narcisistico di personalità negli ultimi anni sta assumendo sempre più rilevanza al di là della diagnosi categoriale espressa dalle correnti classificazioni come il DSM-5. Infatti, mentre la diagnosi categoriale pone in primo piano la grandiosità, trattare il narcisismo come dimensione permette di tener conto della sua eterogeneità, identificando sottotipi che presentano diversi sintomi, gravità e impostazione del trattamento. In questo lavoro trattiamo il tema del narcisismo vulnerabile, caratterizzato da un'estrema sensibilità al giudizio, tendenza a sperimentare vergogna e colpa, e da comportamenti caratterizzati da inibizione ed evitamento. L'analisi di un caso di una persona affetta da narcisismo vulnerabile permetterà di descrivere come affrontare gli stati mentali di colpa e depressione, i comportamenti di evitamento sociale e di inibizione dei desideri. L'intervento terapeutico viene descritto utilizzando i trascritti di alcune sedute individuali in cui vengono applicate le procedure terapeutiche della terapia metacognitiva interpersonale (TMI).

Abstract:
The aim of the study was to develop an orthopedic implant coating in the form of vancomycin-loaded collagen/hydroxyapatite layers (COLHA+V) that combine the ability to prevent bone infection with the ability to promote enhanced osseointegration. The ability to prevent bone infection was investigated employing a rat model that simulated the clinically relevant implant-related introduction of bacterial contamination to the bone during a surgical procedure using a clinical isolate of Staphylococcus epidermidis. The ability to enhance osseointegration was investigated employing a model of a minipig with terminated growth. Six weeks following implantation, the infected rat femurs treated with the implants without vancomycin (COLHA+S. epidermidis) exhibited the obvious destruction of cortical bone as evinced via a cortical bone porosity of up to 20% greater than that of the infected rat femurs treated with the implants containing vancomycin (COLHA+V+S. epidermidis) (3%) and the non-infected rat femurs (COLHA+V) (2%). The alteration of the bone structure of the infected COLHA+S. epidermidis group was further demonstrated by a 3% decrease in the average Ca/P molar ratio of the bone mineral. Finally, the determination of the concentration of vancomycin released into the blood stream indicated a negligible systemic load. Six months following implantation in the pigs, the quantified ratio of new bone indicated an improvement in osseointegration, with a two-fold bone ingrowth on the COLHA (47%) and COLHA+V (52%) compared to the control implants without a COLHA layer (27%). Therefore, it can be concluded that COLHA+V layers are able to significantly prevent the destruction of bone structure related to bacterial infection with a minimal systemic load and, simultaneously, enhance the rate of osseointegration.

Purpose: This article is devoted to scientific and theoretical research of modern system of principles for ad-ministrative procedural law in updated conditions of the Ukrainian state development, based on the needs of qualitative provision and realization of legal rights, freedoms and interests of natural and legal persons, in the sphere of public and legal relations. Main content: The author analyzed the administrative law regulations, and the doctrine of administrative proce-dural law as for determining nature and significance of the basic principles, which define the nature, structure, social orientation, and basic properties of legal regulation of this branch of law, and which on the other side create appropriate organizational and functional conditions for administrative procedural activities. Methodology: Materials and methods for research were based on the analysis of documentary sources. The basis is the dialectical method of cognition of the facts of social reality, on which the formal legal and compa-rative legal approaches are largely based. Conclusions: The principles of administrative procedural law can be divided into those that directly reflect the specifics and content of this branch of law, determine its features, purpose, objectives and intention, as well as administrative procedural principles, i.e., basic principles enshrined in administrative procedural law, which do not undergo significant changes, nor determine the nature and content of the activities of all subjects of administrative procedural legal relations.

Abstract:
There is a variety of anatomical deformities of the posterior pelvic compartment that associate functional disorders of the anorectum. The most common are: anterior rectocele, internal rectal prolapse (recto-anal intussusception), sigmoidcele and enterocele and overt rectal prolapse. There are a number of procedures employed in the treatment of mentioned disorders. One of them is laparoscopic prosthesis ventral colpo-rectopexy. Current evidence on this procedure is rather limited, because quality of studies is of low level and comparative trials are very few. Nevertheless, it is well documented that this procedure for mentioned is a safe procedure with very low morbidity, one death reported so far, and low conversion-to-open approach rate. Complications associated with the synthetic prosthesis (erosion or sepsis) are rare, and use of biological mesh does not seem to offer any advantage. Conversion is very low and usually as a result of previous pelvic surgery. The procedure is safe with low morbidity, short hospital stay and very low recurrence rate of overt rectal prolapse. Functional outcomes, namely constipation, obstructed defecation syndrome, incontinence and sexual dysfunction decrease in rates postoperatively.

Abstract:
Lo scopo del presente studio è stato quello di chiarire i fattori di rischio della rinoliquorrea a seguito di un approccio transfenoidale e di discuterne la prevenzione e il trattamento. Abbiamo revisionato retrospettivamente 474 casi consecutivi di adenoma ipofisario trattati con 485 procedure chirurgiche per via transfenoidale da Gennaio 2008 a Dicembre 2011 nel nostro dipartimento. Abbiamo analizzato l’incidenza di fuoriuscita di liquor cefalorachidiano intraoperatoriamente e nel postoperatorio, e la riuscita di varie strategie di riparazione. Abbiamo riscontrato fuoriuscita di liquor intraoperatoriamente in 85 casi (17.9%) e postoperatoriamente in 13 casi (2.7%). Sette dei 13 pazienti con rinoliquorrea postoperatoria non avevano mostrato fuoriuscita di liquor intraoperatoriamente; tre di questi pazienti avevano adenomi secernenti ADH. Dei rimanenti 6 pazienti con fuoriuscita di liquor sia intra che postoperatoria, 2 erano stati trattati per prolattinoma gigante e invasivo e 2 erano già stati sottoposti in passato a chirurgia trasnfenoidale. In 8 pazienti la fuoriuscita è stata risolta mediante puntura lombare, drenaggio lombare, riposo in posizione semi-reclinata o altri trattamenti conservativi. Due casi sono stati trattati mediante schiuma di gelatina e colla di fibrina utilizzando un approccio transfenoidale e due con grasso autologo e ricostruzione del pavimento della sella utilizzando un approccio transnasale endoscopico. Dopo essere stato sottoposto a due tentativi di riparazione per via transasale, un paziente è stato trattato con successo mediante un ulteriore drenaggio subaracnoideo. In conclusone le procedure che fanno uso di schiuma di gelatina, colla di fibrina e impianti di grasso autologo sono efficaci ai fini del trattamento della rinoliquorrea postoperatoria in pazienti sottoposti a chirurgia transfenoidale. Quando viene rilevata una perdita di liquido cefalorachidiano in corso di chirurgia transfenoidale, un’appropriata ricostruzione del pavimento della sella e un follow up a lungo termine sono necessari.

The article presents data on the improved technique of vaginal hysterectomy (GE) with the use of medications and technical support in case of genital prolapse. The objective: was to determine the clinical effectiveness of preventive measures, the improved technique of vaginal GE in case of complete loss of the uterus with the use of drugs and technical support. Patients and methods. The main group included 21 women with total uterine prolapse, who underwent vaginal GE without uterine appendages according to the procedure we improved, and in the control group – 17 women, who underwent vaginal GE with a standard procedure. In the two groups after the vaginal GE, anterior and posterior colpoperineoraphy was performed with levatoroplasty. Results. We have improved the technique of conducting vaginal GE with the use of medications (hydroparreparation of the solution with 0.4 mg of terlipressin) and technical support (use of the radiofrequency scalpel and argon-plasma tissue coagulation), according to our study, significantly reduces the likelihood of intraoperative complications and improves postoperative period with respect to reparative Processes and a decrease in the frequency of hemorrhagic and pyoinflammatory diseases after surgery Skogen intervention. Conclusion. The clinical study determined the effectiveness of a comprehensive surgical technique for the complete loss of the uterus and prevention of possible complications of surgical intervention. Abstract:
Oxidized starch, an additive used in paper manufacturing and products for construction industry, is usually produced using harmful oxidant, such as hypochlorites or periodates. In this study, a simple and efficient eco-friendly laboratory and industrial procedures for starch oxidation were developed. The procedure involves application of small amounts of more environmentally friendly oxidant, hydrogen peroxide, a novel special metal complex catalyst such as copper(II) citrate and copper(II) ricinoleate and biobased plasticizers. Optimization procedure, with respect to the quantity of hydrogen peroxide and temperature in the presence of iron(II) sulphate catalyst, was performed by using the response surface methodology. Compa-rative analysis of the use of the other catalysts that is copper(II) sulphate, copper(II) citrate and copper(II) ricinoleate, indicated copper(II) citrate as the catalyst of choice. Improvement of starch is achieved using three plasticizers: ricinoleic acid (RA), diisopropyl tartarate, as well as epoxidized soybean, linseed and sunflower oils. The effects of hydrogen peroxide and catalyst concentrations, as well as the reaction temperature in the presence of naturally based plasticizers on the physicochemical, thermal and morphological properties of oxidized starch are presented. According to the results obtained in initial experiments, the optimal industrial process is based on the use of copper(II) citrate (0.1 %) as a catalyst and RA (3 %) as a plasticizer.

Abstract:
AIM: To study the therapeutic aspects of endometrial cancer at the Joliot Curie Institute in Dakar. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a retrospective study conducted at the Joliot Curie Institute in Dakar including all cases of endometrial cancer confirmed by histology between January 2012 and December 2016. RESULTS: There were 30 cases of endometrial cancer over a period of five years. Endometrioid adenocarcinoma was the most common type of histology and was found in 25 patients, or 84% of cases. The patients were classified as stages I and II of FIGO in 43% of cases, stage III in 24% of cases and stage IV in 33% of cases. Colpo-hysterectomy with pelvic lymphadenectomy (CHL) was the main surgical procedure performed. External radiotherapy was performed in three patients or 10%. A case of radiation cystitis and radiodermatitis were recorded as a radiotherapy complication. No patient received brachytherapy. Chemotherapy was performed in 17 patients, ie 56.6%. She was adjuvant in 10 patients, or 34% of cases. Pelvic recurrences were noted in three patients who underwent 10% surgery. After 13 months of follow-up, survival was 50%. CONCLUSION: The most effective treatment modality for endometrial cancer at the Joliot Curie Institute was surgery followed by chemotherapy and Radiation therapy.

Abstract:
La via retroauricolare rappresenta l’approccio di scelta nel trattamento dell’otite media cronica. Nelle procedure “sporche” l’incidenza della complicanza infettiva locale è del 10%. Il presente studio analizza le infezioni del sito chirurgico dopo la chirurgia dell’otite media cronica e ne investiga i potenziali fattori predittivi. Il presente studio, dal design osservazionale prospettico, ha incluso pazienti affetti da otite media cronica e candidati alla chirurgia mediante approccio retroauricolare. Sono state definite precoci le complicanze postoperatorie insorte entro i 30 giorni e tardive quelle insorte oltre i 30 giorni. Sono stati analizzati i dati di 102 pazienti. Sono stati registrati 4 casi (3,9%) di infezione precoce, per la quale è stata evidenziata un’associazione significativa con l’antibioticoterapia preoperatoria, l’orecchio in fase secernente all’esame otoscopico preoperatorio, una classe III (contaminato) nella classificazione delle ferite chirurgiche, indice NNIS (National Nosocomial Infection Surveillance) >1 e assunzione di antibiotici per OS nel postoperatorio. Sono state inoltre registrate 7 complicanze tardive (7,1%), occorse fra i 90 e i 160 giorni dall’intervento, significativamente correlate alla presenza di otorrea nei sei mesi precedenti la chirurgia, una durata del tempo chirurgico inferiore o uguale a 60 minuti, una tecnica aperta e all’uso della colla di fibrina. L’infezione del sito chirurgico sembra essere associata ai fattori correlati allo stato infiammatorio dell’orecchio medio al momento della chirurgia nelle infezioni precoci e all’infiammazione cronica nelle infezioni tardive.

Background: Laparoscopy is a modern surgical technique that began in 1940 with Raoul Palmer. The present study aimed to analyse the results of a fifty-two-laparoscopic hysterectomy performed.Methods: A prospective study over a period of seven years from 1st January 2010 to 31st December 2015. A total of 52 patients who underwent a laparoscopic hysterectomy were recruited at the teaching hospital of Yopougon-Abidjan.Results: The mean age was 50.2 years (±3.9 years) (36-62 years). The average parity was 3. Few patients had undergone anterior pelvic surgery for either myomectomy or caesarean section. Uterine fibroid was the major surgical indication with a rate of 61.54%. The average size of the uterus was 12 cm (8-18 cm). Total hysterectomies type II and III with or without adnexectomy were essentially performed with rates of 28.85% and 32.69%, respectively. Sometimes it was associated with a lymphadenectomy or a colpo-suspension. The average length of a hysterectomy is 170 minutes (87-385 minutes). Four cases of laparo-conversions have been noted. Blood loss was approximately 95 ml (±12 ml) with a maximum of 300 ml. The complications were mainly two digestive wounds and a bladder fistula. The average length of hospital stay is three days apart from any complication.Conclusions: The laparoscopic approach is less painful, is associated with less blood loss, shorter hospital stay, faster recovery, fewer complications, and better care. A training period of surgeons associated with the equipment of the health structures is necessary to popularize this procedure surgical.

Abstract:
Pollen viability and germinability are indispensable criteria in plant breeding programmes. This research evaluated eleven M4 mutant lines of gamma irradiated sesame (Sesamum indicum) for some pollen parameters. Seeds were obtained from the Department of Plant Biology, Federal University of Technology, Minna and were raised to maturity alongside their respective checks in a randomized complete block design (RCBD). The field experiment was conducted at the experimental field of the Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority, Minna. Pollen viability and diameter were determined using standard procedure. The germinability test was done using three different sucrose concentrations (10 %, 20 % and 30 %) with 1 % nutrient agar solution. The results revealed that all the M4 mutant lines had adequate pollen viabilities (over 80%) with ML-10 having the highest (97.56 %) viability followed by ML-7 (95.61 %), ML-8 (95.01 %) and Check-2 (95.60 %). The highest pollen germinability was recorded at 20 % sucrose concentration for all the mutant lines with line ML-7 (39.70 %) having the highest percentage. Check-1 at 10 % sucrose concentration recorded the least percentage (11.46 %) across the concentration and treatments. Highest pollen diameter (169.52μm) was recorded in Check-1. Suboblate shapes with 10-13 colpi was observed in all the mutant lines and the checks. Pollens from all the lines comprised of circular and elliptic pollens except in ML-7 and the checks where the pollens were solely circular in polar view. The study revealed that gamma-irradiation could be a reasonable tool for inducing variability in sesame and advantageous in increasing the pollen viability.

Abstract:
In the EU/COLIPA validation programme on “Photoirritation in vitro”, two core tests and a number of mechanistically based tests were carried out to examine their suitability as regulatory tests for phototoxicity testing. In the meantime, one core test, the 3T3 neutral red uptake phototoxicity test (NRU PT) has been validated and has been accepted by ECVAM and the European Commission. The second core test, the red blood cell phototoxicity test (Photo-RBC test), has passed through a prevalidation process during this programme. This test protocol combines two endpoints, photohaemolysis and met-haemoglobin (met-Hb) formation. These endpoints are determined by measuring changes in the optical density of the haemoglobin spectrum at 525nm and 630nm, respectively. In addition, a prediction model was inserted into the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) with two cut-off values: a photohaemolysis factor (PHF) ≥ 3.0 for photohaemolysis, and a ΔODmax ≥ 0.05 for met-Hb formation. Three laboratories agreed to implement the SOP and to perform the study by testing 30 selected test chemicals (25 phototoxicants and 5 non-phototoxic chemicals). The outcome of the study presents a good overall fit, including acceptable accuracy, sensitivity, and positive predictivity. The specificity and the negative predictivity are comparably low, due to the low number of non-phototoxic substances among the test chemicals. Further analysis of the data showed that the transfer of the SOP from between laboratories could have been more efficient. The results, especially of the lead laboratory, clearly indicate that an experienced laboratory can handle the SOP with high predictivity for phototoxicants and non-phototoxic substances. Finally, it was concluded that the combined Photo-RBC test can be considered as a second in vitro test, which can be used advantageously to obtain some mechanistic information, in particular on photodynamic effects on cellular proteins and biomembranes.

Therefore, the following treatments were assessed: nutritional management of cows without supplementation (NSUPP); or with supplementation (SUPP: 330 g CP and 2.11 Mcal/cow/day); and progeny feedlot diets without rumen-protected fat (NRPFAT) or with rumen-protected fat (RPFAT: 6% calcium salts). Samples of longissimus thoracis muscle were used for meat quality analyses: pH, color, chemical composition and 14 days aging shear force; and for gene expression analysis using the RT-qPCR. Statistical analyses were done using the GLM procedure of SAS. The maternal supplementation and the use of RPFAT in feedlot diets did not affect muscle pH (5.7; SEM +0.029), L* (40.0; SEM +1.231), a* (11.9; SEM +0.876), fat content (2.3%; SEM +0.306), collagen (1.43 mg/g; SEM +0.08), and shear force (4.2 + 0.322 kgf). However, cows’ supplementation increased the expression of CPT2 and tended to up-regulate FASN and ACACA expression (Table 1). In addition, RPFAT increased expression of COL3A, FN1, IGFR1, and ACACA. There was no interaction effect of cow supplementation on gene expression. These results suggest that maternal supplementation may increase the expression of genes related to lipid synthesis and degradation (lipid turnover). On the other hand, the use of high amount of calcium salts increases the expression of genes involved in collagen synthesis but with no effect on collagen content and tenderness. Functionality of a square used for ferry boats boarding has repercussions on safety and comfort of users, as well as on the efficiency of maritime transport. Inadequate use of the infrastructure causes driving errors followed by corrective manoeuvres, loss of time and potential accidents with consequences for community and the maritime transport compa-ny. The wide diversification of traffic components and payment methods are generally managed through a traditional horizontal and vertical signage system that does not refer to any current legislation. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate driver's behaviour and the interaction that takes place between the latter and the environ-mental context. In particular, the authors focused on the study of the driver’s workload in a simulated environment, considering a users' sample and different driving scenarios inside the boarding area, concerning traffic conditions (isolated vehicle or presence of disturbing vehicles) and signs position. All this, in order to evaluate whether any change in a virtual context could bring real benefits to drivers, before being transferred to the real context. The results obtained, in terms of subjective workload and performance measures, have made it possible to judge the different solutions proposed in a simulated environment through synthetic indices referring to the entire boarding place or at certain parts of it. In this way, the manager can decide to change the circulation of the entire square or only some aspects of detail, such as some signals, in the event that they manifest an evident difficulty in the transfer of infor-mation. The use of the simulated environment allows greater speed in identifying the best solution, lower costs (avoid-ing the creation of a critical configuration for circulation) and greater user safety, since risky manoeuvres are identi-fied and corrected by the simulator. The proposed procedure can be used by managers for a correct arrangement of the signs, for the purpose of correctly directing the flows and maximizing the flow rate disposed of.

Abstract. Atmospheric inversion of carbon dioxide (CO2) measurements to better understand carbon sources and sinks has made great progress over the last 2 decades. However, most of the studies, including a four-dimensional variational ensemble Kalman filter and Bayesian synthesis approaches, directly obtain only fluxes, while CO2 concentration is derived with the forward model as part of a post-analysis. Kang et al. (2012) used the local ensemble transform Kalman filter (LETKF), which updates the CO2, surface carbon flux (SCF), and meteorology fields simultaneously. Following this track, a system with a short assimilation window and a long observation window was developed (Liu et al., 2019). However, this data assimilation system faces the challenge of maintaining carbon mass conservation. To overcome this shortcoming, here we apply a constrained ensemble Kalman filter (CEnKF) approach to ensure the conservation of global CO2 mass. After a standard LETKF procedure, an additional assimilation is used to adjust CO2 at each model grid point and to ensure the consistency between the analysis and the first guess of the global CO2 mass. Compared to an observing system simulation experiment without mass conservation, the CEnKF significantly reduces the annual global SCF bias from ∼ 0.2 to less than 0.06 Gt and slightly improves the seasonal and annual performance over tropical and southern extratropical regions. We show that this system can accurately track the spatial distribution of annual mean SCF. And the system reduces the seasonal flux root mean square error from a priori to analysis by 48 %–90 %, depending on the continental region. Moreover, the 2015–2016 El Niño impact is well captured with anomalies mainly in the tropics.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran evaluasi dan rekomendasi dari kendala-kendala dalam penerapan ABg Sistem sebagai upaya mengurangi angka kecelakaan kerja di PT. CCAI-CJ. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Teknik pengambilan sumber informasi yang digunakan adalah teknik snowball sampling, jumlah informan awal yaitu dua orang. Hasil penelitian didapatkan masih terdapat kendala dalam penerapan ABg Sistem yaitu: pelaksanaan pengawasan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) yang belum berjalan konsisten. Konsistensi penerapan peraturan dan prosedur K3 yang belum optimal serta adanya sanksi yang tidak sesuai dengan prosedur penerapan ABg Sistem. Kurangnya komunikasi antara manajemen dengan pekerja dan kurangnya pemahaman pekerja tentang informasi K3. Kurangnya keterlibatan pekerja dalam pelaporan kejadian kecelakaan/kondisi berbahaya. Saran yang dapat diberikan yaitu: konsistensi pelaksanaan pengawasan K3 sesuai prosedur, sanksi yang diberikan lebih baik berupa arahan bagi pekerja untuk dapat bekerja lebih aman, melakukan komunikasi kepada pekerja sesuai dengan prosedur komunikasi internal, diadakan peningkatan kompetensi melalui pelatihan awareness K3, serta dilakukan pelatihan mengenai prosedur pelaporan kecelakaan/kondisi berbahaya kepada pekerja.PT. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia Central Java (CCAI-CJ) in 2013 has implemented ABg (Aktif Berbagi) system program, there are two accident cases increase in 2013 at the working areas. The purpose of this study is to describe the evaluation and recommendation of the constraints in the implementation of ABg System as an effort to reduce the number of accidents in the workplace. This research design is a qualitative study which an ethnographic approach. Retrieval techniques used resources is snowball sampling technique, the amount of the initial informant that two people. The result showed that the application of ABg System, such as monitoring the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) which have not been running consistently yet. Consistency of application of rules and procedures OHS have not been optimal as well as the punishment that have not in accordance with the procedures for application of ABg System. Lack of communication between management and workers and workers' understanding of the OHS information. Lack of worker involvement in the reporting of accidents/dangerous conditions. The suggestions are: the consistency of supervision OHS according to the procedure, the better the sanctions provided as suggestion to the working to work safely, communicating to the employees in accordance with the procedures of internal communication, held competency improvement through awareness training OHS, and conducted training on reporting procedures accident/unsafe conditions to workers.

In pharmacology, it is common to evaluate the influence of external effectors (for example, temperature, pH, and presence of a second drug) on dose-response relations by the potency factor (PF50): [Formula: see text] where ED50 (± effector) denotes the 50% effective dose in the presence and in the absence of the effector, respectively. In this paper, the external effector is ultraviolet (UV) light, and PF50 is referred to as the photoirritancy factor (PIF). There are two parameters which limit the applicability and toxicological reliability of the PIF. Firstly, the physical properties (for example, water solubility) of the chemical tested and the constraints of the biological test system may make it difficult, or even impossible, to achieve sufficiently high doses to observe 50% of the maximal response. In such cases, no numeric value of the potency factor can be computed. Secondly, the potency factor does not take into account the absolute change in response induced by UV light, i.e. depending on the shape of the ±UV dose-response curves, the absolute change in response may be small although the PIF is large, and vice versa. This paper proposes a more general measure of phototoxicity, the mean photo effect (MPE), which can be assessed from pairs of dose-response curves, even if the 50% response level is not reached in one curve or in both. The MPE is a weighted average of PIFd values across different dose levels (d being common to both dose-response curves). The absolute response changes, ΔRd, i.e. the differences between the -UV curve and the +UV curve are used as weighting factors. The numerical computation of the MPE is based on theoretical curves obtained by fitting a mathematical model to the experimental dose-response data. Plotting PIFd and ΔRd versus the corresponding doses permits differences in the shapes of the two curves to be assessed, and possible alterations in the toxic mechanisms induced by UV light to be revealed. The variance of MPE is estimated by a bootstrap procedure. The use of the MPE is illustrated by its application to dose-response data obtained with a human keratinocyte assay of fibroblasts in the EU/COLIPA international validation project on photoirritancy.

Aims: The objective of this study was to produce and use potash from kola follicles (Cola nitda) in the formulation of an ethnic or traditional foods namely kabatôh. Study Design: 17 formulations of kabatôh carried out in the presence of potash were subjected to a sensory analysis. Place and Duration of Study: Laboratory of Biochemistry and Food Sciences, Biochemistry department of Biosciences Unit, Felix Houphouet-Boigny University, running 2019. Methodology: Kola dried follicles collected from the region of Tonkpi were incinerated after sun dried. Ash obtained was used for the production of potash after maceration (with water), filtration and evaporation. The extracted potash was characterized and used in the kabatôh formulation procedure. Seventeen formulations of kabatôh and the control sample were used as part of a sensory analysis to evaluate the perception of the color, savor, texture and the flavor like their level of appreciation by tasters. Results: The potash extraction yield determined was 10.23 ± 0.72%, with a basic pH of 11.15 ± 0.05. Results showed that potash moisture content and concentration of potassium hydroxide are 4.15 ± 0.21% and 0.81 ± 0.03 mol/L, respectively. Some of the formulations with potash were appreciated more than 83% by the panelists. The control sample was appreciated by 56.76% of the panel. Conclusion: The presence of potash improves the organoleptic characteristics of kabatôh. Thus, Kola follicules could be used in the potash production process that represents an interest in food and feed but also in the industrial world.

Abstract Classification of high-throughput genomic data is a powerful method to assign samples to subgroups with specific molecular profiles. Consensus partitioning is the most widely applied approach to reveal subgroups by summarizing a consensus classification from a list of individual classifications generated by repeatedly executing clustering on random subsets of the data. It is able to evaluate the stability of the classification. We implemented a new R/Bioconductor package, cola, that provides a general framework for consensus partitioning. With cola, various parameters and methods can be user-defined and easily integrated into different steps of an analysis, e.g., feature selection, sample classification or defining signatures. cola provides a new method named ATC (ability to correlate to other rows) to extract features and recommends spherical k-means clustering (skmeans) for subgroup classification. We show that ATC and skmeans have better performance than other commonly used methods by a comprehensive benchmark on public datasets. We also benchmark key parameters in the consensus partitioning procedure, which helps users to select optimal parameter values. Moreover, cola provides rich functionalities to apply multiple partitioning methods in parallel and directly compare their results, as well as rich visualizations. cola can automate the complete analysis and generates a comprehensive HTML report.

To be able to compete with similar industries then the company implements quality control by Statistical Process Control method. In the development of this SPC many methods there are manual or who use the software. Currently PT. Coca-Cola Bottling Indonesia in quality control using Time Charting method, but since the transition from Minitab to Time Charting the tendency of the value of capability below standard, whereas production data is almost the same as using Minitab. The purpose of this research is to analyze the inequality of Statistical Process Control between Minitab 13 and Time Charting. Time Charting method is a new method that is given by the headquarters for the process of quality control can be fast and accurate. Quality control with the Statistical Process Control of Minitab and Time Charting methods after the results of the research results was found to be part of different LSL and USL charging, and Calculate Statistic Using different from Minitab method should still be 6 but in written procedure 3. For writing LSL And USL if the Time Charting is determined by the head office while Minitab analysts fill in based on experiments on the decrease of gas volume marketed in previous years. From the research results obtained Cpk data for Minitab method 13 is Sprite 390 ml 1.47, Sprite 1000 ml 1.90 and Sprite 1500 ml 1.38. The result of the research was using Minitab method and the Charting Time of Capacity that is above 1.33 average. The causes of the resulting inequality of both methods are the LSL, USL and Calculate Statistic Using values. The smaller the value of Calculate Statistic Using the higher Cpk produced.
