Abstract:
Software cost estimation is a resource forecasting method, which is required by the software development process. However, estimating the workload, schedule and cost of a software project is a complex task because it involves predicting the future using historical project data and extrapolating to see future values. For cost estimates for software projects, several methods are used. Among the various software cost estimation methods available, the most commonly used technology is the COCOMO method. Similarly, to calculate software costs, there are several cost estimating tools available for software developers to use. But these released cost estimation tools can only provide parameters (i.e. cost, development time, average personnel) for large software with multiple lines of code. However, if a software developer wants to estimate the cost of a small project that is usually a mobile application, the available tools will not give the right results. Therefore, to calculate the cost of the mobile application, the available cost estimation method COCOMO II is improved to a new model called New Mobile COCOMO Tool. The New Mobile COCOMO tool developed specifically for mobile applications is a boon for software developers working in small software applications because it only includes important multipliers that play a vital role in estimating the cost of developing mobile applications. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to propose a cost estimation model with a special case of COCOMO II, especially for mobile applications, which calculates the person-month, the programmed time and the average personnel involved in the development of any mobile app.

Abstract:
Over the past decades, software development has been a priority project for business leaders. Compared to the production or purchase of a productive asset, IT development could be carried out at a lower cost, and controlling always found a hidden reserve that could be used for this purpose. But this process is in transition at the beginning of the 21st century. IT projects should be examined early in the development phase to determine the functional size of a software application and to determine the business value and expenditure that the application represents for a particular segment of the business. However, process analysis and productivity and cost analysis of these developments are more challenging than average for business analysts. Enterprise information systems are evolving very rapidly, and their user base is growing. These applications handle so much data and are so complex that it is difficult for the average user to understand how they work. New coding tools are now enabling software developers to meet growing and increasingly complex customer needs more efficiently and quickly. A comprehensible, comparable, and clear method for interpreting, estimating, and verifying projects is needed.

Abstract:
Software effort estimation is one of important area in project management which used to predict effort for each person to develop an application. Besides, Constructive Cost Model (COCOMO) II is a common model used to estimate effort estimation. There are two coefficients in estimating effort of COCOMO II which highly affect the estimation accuracy. Several methods have been conducted to estimate those coefficients which can predict a closer value between actual effort and predicted value. In this paper, a new metaheuristic algorithm which is known as Flower Pollination Algorithm (FPA) is proposed in several scenario of iteration. Besides, FPA is also compared to several metaheuristic algorithm, namely Cuckoo Search Algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization. After evaluated by using Mean Magnitude of Relative Error (MMRE), experimental results show that FPA obtains the best result in estimating effort compared to other algorithms by reached 52.48% of MMRE in 500 iterations.

Abstract:
One of the major activities in effective and efficient production of software projects is the precise estimation of software development effort. Estimation of the effort in primary steps of software development is one of the most important challenges in managing software projects. Some reasons for these challenges such as: discordant software projects, the complexity of the manufacturing process, special role of human and high level of obscure and unusual features of software projects can be noted. Predicting the necessary efforts to develop software using meta-heuristic optimization algorithms has made significant progressions in this field. These algorithms have the potent to be used in estimation of the effort of the software. The necessity to increase estimation precision urged the authors to survey the efficiency of some meta-heuristic optimization algorithms and their effects on the software projects. To do so, in this paper, they investigated the effect of combining various optimization algorithms such as genetic algorithm, particle swarm optimization algorithm and ant colony algorithm on different models such as COCOMO, estimation based on analogy, machine learning methods and standard estimation models. These models have employed various data sets to evaluate the results such as COCOMO, Desharnais, NASA, Kemerer, CF, DPS, ISBSG and Koten & Gary. The results of this survey can be used by researchers as a primary reference.

Abstract:
Abstract: In addition to traditional web technologies, semantic web technology allows the implementation of the "web of things" and "web of linked data," enabling both machines and humans to access the web. The ultimate objective is to allow machines to do increasingly complex tasks and to design systems that can support network interactions. This goal may be realized by merging several linked data technologies, such as RDF, SPARQL, OWL, and SKOS (W3C Org, 2014). In this project, the authors integrated semantic web technologies into the software to illustrate their use. This study describes in detail the design and functionality of the apps, as well as how the semantic web technology principles were implemented. The authors followed the principles and best practices outlined in W3C documents and directed by the first author. The authors exerted a great deal of work to evaluate the acquired data and have begun the project by locating suitable datasets from various data sources (heterogeneous data sources). Following this, more attempts were made to cleanse and verify the data. This generated dataset was subsequently pushed to the selected triple store on application start-up. The ontology design and project architecture are described in full in this study. The project's stack and implementation has been discussed in this report.

Abstract:
Google Analytics is the most widely used web traffic analytics program in the world with a wide array of functionality which serve several different purposes for its users. However the cost of training employees in the usage of Google Analytics can be expensive and time consuming due to the generality of the software. The purpose of this thesis is to explore an alternative solution to hav- ing employees learn the default Google Analytics interface and thus possibly re- ducing training expenses. A prototype written in the Java programming lan- guage is developed which implements the MVC and facade software patterns for the purpose of making the development process more efficient. It contains a feature for retrieving custom reports from Google Analytics using Google’s Core Reporting API in addition to two web pages are integrated into the proto- type using the Google Embed API. In the result the prototype is used along with the software estimation method COCOMO to make an estimation of the amount of effort required to develop a similar program. This is done by counting the prototype’s source lines of code manually, following the guidelines given by the COCOMO manual, and then implementing the result in the COCOMO estima- tion formula. The count of lines of code for the entire prototype is 567 and the count which considers reused code is 466. The value retrieved from the formula is 1.61±0.14 person months for the estimation of the entire program and 1.31± 0.16 for a program with reused code. The conclusion of the thesis is that the res- ult from the estimation has several weaknesses and further research is necessary in order to improve the accuracy of the result.

Abstract:
The complexity of Web sites are increasing and transforming into Web applications that contain business logic, interactivity, transaction handling and states. This phenomenon forces the Web developers to adapt more traditional software engineering techniques to keep the Web applications error free, maintainable, reusable, well documented etc. Many Web developers do not use any engineering techniques at all and design mainly to create as fashionable applications as possible with no regards on the application?s functionality. This results in applications that are hard to maintain and with poor functionality. The purpose with this thesis was to see if the use of a more traditional software engineering technique, namely the Unified Modeling Language with the newly added Web Application Extension, resulted in a Web application with good design regarding the maintainability of the application. To investigate the maintainability of an application, the maintainability was further divided into three sub criteria: extensibility, reusability and documentation. These three criteria were then applied on a case study were a Web application was designed. From the analysis of the final design, using the three criteria, the maintainability was derived. The result of the entire investigation showed that the UML WAE had a good support for extensibility, fair support for reusability and very good support for documentation. From these results the main conclusion was derived, that the use of UML WAE resulted in good design regarding the maintainability. However, the result is limited to our case study and the design created in that case. The result may have been different if the three criteria had been applied on a different case. Another aspect to consider is that the quality of a design is often dependent on the knowledge of the persons that carry out the design.

Abstract:

As more and more sensitive information is entering web based applications, and thus are available through a web browser, securing these systems is of increasing importance. A software system accessible through the web is continuously exposed to threats, and is accessible to anyone who would like to attempt a break-in. These systems can not rely on only external measures like separate network zones and firewalls for security. Symantecs1 Internet Security Threat Report [34] is published every six months. Main findings in the last one published prove that there is an increase in threats to confidential information and more attacks aimed at web applications. Almost 48 percent of all vulnerabilities documented the last six months of 2004 were vulnerabilities in web applications. Security principles that one should pay attention to developing web applications do exist. This report have taken a look at existing guidelines, and provided an independent guide to developing secure web applications. These guidelines will be published at the homepage of The Centre for Information Security2 (SIS), www.norsis.no. The report also describes how a web application has been developed using the provided security guidelines as reference points. Relevant vulnerabilities and threats were identified and described. Misuse cases have related the various threats to specific system functionality, and a risk analysis ranks the threats in order to see which ones are most urgent. During the design phase, the application areas exposed to threats with a high rank from the risk analysis, have been at center of attention. This is also the case in the implementation phase, where countermeasures to some of these threats are provided on the Java platform. The implemented solutions can be adapted by others developing applications on this platform. The report comes to the conclusion, that the use of security guidelines throughout the entire development process is useful when developing a secure system. 1Symantec works with information security providing software, appliances and services designed to secure and manage IT infrastructures [33]. 2The Centre for Information Security (SIS) is responsible for coordinating activities related to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) security in Norway. The centre receives reports about security related incidents from companies and departments, and is working on obtaining an overall impression of threats towards Norwegian ICT systems [30].

Problems related to web application security comes in many ways, one example is inexperience programmers but not only in the way they code and program but also which language and structure they use to code. Not only programmers but Software companies left holes in the software they developed of course without intention.Because is proven that most of the vulnerabilities start in the web application side, as developers we need to follow certain principles, test our code and learn as much as possible about the subject, as a foundation of web application security in order to know how to prevent issues to the most significant treats. The penetration test aimed to help the IT business to discover vulnerabilities in their system ensure their integrity and continue further in the web application security process. The vulnerability research perform in this report is the introduction of a big work that is under continuity for the company. Finally the success of following security standards, process and methodologies applied on this field is considered the best approach to ensure web application security and priceless information you can benefit from.

Many companies want a lot of functionality over the web. Is it possible to achieve the same functionality on the web compared to an ordinary windows application? Our work aims towards evaluating which one of the solutions that is the best. Many customers wants a standalone application rich of functionality and demands to have the same functionality on the web. Is it always possible to achieve the costumer’s requirements on a web based solution or do you have to settle with an implementation of a standalone application? There are some factors that the answer depends on: performance, security, usability and implementation. The application that will be tested is developed in .Net and is a maintenance application for Business Intelligence (BI). We will have a short introduction to the Business Intelligence field to make you understand the purpose of the application.

Abstract:
Many platforms are emerging recently and businesses need to work with all of them, therefore, creating applications that work on multiplatform like Android, IOS, Windows …etc. is necessary these days.Building a separate native application for each platform as well as working separately with both Frontend and Backend is costly in several respects, including time, effort and cost.using Cross-platform tools and frameworks is the best solution to the problem of multiple platforms and the need to deal with all of them. This paper discusses the most famous, modern, and widely used Cross-platform tools to introduce the best way to build an E-learning application that works natively in multiplatform using only one programming language, and even it doesn’t require work with the Backend side. Finally, we have created a sample E-learning application using Flutter with Firebase as a Backend. Due to the Corona pandemic, e-learning has become a mandatory requirement as a primary or secondary method of education, this application work on all platforms (Mobile and Desktop), and we tested it on Android and Web Browsers.

Abstract:
Facial recognition technology is named one of the main trends of recent years. It’s wide range of applications, such as access control, biometrics, video surveillance and many other interactive humanmachine systems. Facial landmarks can be described as key characteristics of the human face. Commonly found landmarks are, for example, eyes, nose or mouth corners. Analyzing these key points is useful for a variety of computer vision use cases, including biometrics, face tracking, or emotion detection. Different methods produce different facial landmarks. Some methods use only basic facial landmarks, while others bring out more detail. We use 68 facial markup, which is a common format for many datasets. Cloud computing creates all the necessary conditions for the successful implementation of even the most complex tasks. We created a web application using the Django framework, Python language, OpenCv and Dlib libraries to recognize faces in the image. The purpose of our work is to create a software system for face recognition in the photo and identify wrinkles on the face. The algorithm for determining the presence and location of various types of wrinkles and determining their geometric determination on the face is programmed.
