Abstract:
This study aims to explore coaching strategies to improve religious understanding for muallaf. The research uses qualitative techniques with main data collection techniques through FGDs, observations, interviews, and documentation. The research was conducted in Kampung Muallaf, Betteng Village, Lembang District, Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The data are analyzed qualitatively using classification based on emerging problems. The results showed that the muallaf coaching strategy in Betteng Village was appropriate. Some of the steps taken are in physical form, and some are in non-physical form. The physical form is the manufacture of several facilities and infrastructure, while the nonphysical form is the form of deepening the pillars of faith and the pillars of Islam. The inhibiting factors for Kampung Muallaf in Betteng Village are the lack of Islamic extension personnel and extreme road access resulting in a lack of frequent meetings. Therefore,it is recommended that the government increase the energy of Islamic Extension workers and improve the means of transportation to make it easier to carry out guidance. The main contribution of this research is to be a piece of information about the concrete steps of religious formation. These measures can be used as a pilot in fostering muallaf elsewhere.

Abstract:
The 70:20:10 framework stands as a widely acknowledged and effective approach to learning, underscoring the importance of experiential learning and coaching within talent development programs. Recognizing this, PT Transportasi Angkutan Darat (TAD), a railway-based transportation company in Indonesia with operational areas covering the islands of Java and Sumatra, has embraced it as a cornerstone of their talent development initiative. Within this context, a specifically chosen group of TAD employees, identified as high-potential individuals or "Talents," underwent a comprehensive development program structured around the 70:20:10 framework. This encompassed experiential learning, coaching, and training programs. While internal evaluations demonstrated the method's capacity to enhance the performance of these Talents, there remained a need for optimization in developing competencies, especially for those occupying senior management positions. To delve deeper into the program's implementation, semi-structured interviews will be conducted with participants from the talent development program. Specifically, interviews will involve four individuals in senior and middle management positions, along with one person from the program management team serving as the organizer of the talent development program. The study revealed a lack of standardization, particularly in experiential learning and coaching for Talents in senior management roles, resulting in suboptimal outcomes. This identified lack of standardization in the implementation of the Talent Management Program at TAD, particularly in the realms of experiential learning and coaching for senior management Talents, underscores the imperative for targeted enhancements. Addressing these areas of improvement is crucial for achieving the desired and optimal outcomes of the talent development initiative.

Abstract:
Background:Follow-up support increases the effectiveness of physical activity interventions. This study evaluates the effectiveness of 2 support modes on physical activity and mental health. Methods:University employees were randomly assigned to a coaching program with 4 face-to-face (N = 33) or telephone-based (N = 33) support contacts. Both programs included an initial face-to-face intake session and an informational brochure. Physical activity, trait anxiety, self-efficacy, and social support were measured by self-report before and after the interventions that lasted 3 months. Results:Both groups increased leisure-time physical activity, self-efficacy, and social support and decreased sitting time and trait anxiety. The only significant time by group interaction was found for active transportation. More specifically, participants in the face-to-face group reported a significant increase in their active transportation from pretest to posttest, whereas participants in the telephone group reported no significant change. Conclusions:Both face-to-face support and telephone support proved to be effective in increasing the physical activity level and mental health of university employees.

Abstract:
In South Africa, the failure rate of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) amounts to 75% in an estimated interval of 42 months of operation. The purpose of this study is to determine the challenges facing SMEs in Metsimaholo municipality, Free State province of South Africa. Quantitative data was acquired from 102 Metsimaholo SME owners or their representatives, utilizing questionnaires which were completed, returned, and analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26.0 software. It was then established that economic factors have realistic control on the sustainability of SMEs. In addition, further development of SMEs is restrained by competition from immigrant businesses, transportation of inventory, inadequate management skills, substandard marketing, miserable manipulation of financial activities and business, unreachable loans. Notwithstanding the afore-said outcome, SMEs must carefully look at obtaining business skills coaching and support, enlarge or vary the range of products, put back any profits made by a business into it in order to make it more successful. Cooperation amongst SMEs would be a strategy for them to challenge rivalry. Therefore, SMEs will bargain from transportation of goods bought in large quantities for a unit price that is lower than usual.

Abstract:
IntroductionSystematic reviews reporting self-management interventions are associated with significant improvements in stroke survivors’ self-efficacy, health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and independence. However, common barriers such as transportation and availability of carers were identified. Health coaching is suggested as an innovative and cost-effective care model with potential benefits in managing chronic diseases. A randomised controlled trial is proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of an enhanced self-management programme by health coaches on stroke survivors’ recovery outcomes. Methods and analysisAll adult community-dwelling stroke survivors with a modified Rankin Scale Score ≥3 will be recruited from a community rehabilitation network. Eligible participants will be randomly allocated to receive either the enhanced stroke self-management programme (Coaching Ongoing Momentum Building On stroKe rEcovery journeY [COMBO-KEY]) plus usual care or usual care only. COMBO-KEY is an 8-week programme underpinned by Bandura’s principles of self-efficacy and outcome expectation. It consists of four home visits and five phone-coaching sessions delivered by trained health coaches. Each participant will receive a resource package containing a workbook, a quick reference guide, a planning toolkit and 15 videos of peer survivors’ stroke survival experience. Survivors’ outcomes include self-efficacy, outcome expectation and satisfaction with performance of self-management behaviours, HRQoL, depressive symptoms and community reintegration. Assessment will be conducted at baseline and immediately after completing the programme. Generalised estimating equations' model will be used to analyse the data.DiscussionIt is anticipated that the programme will build community capacity in supporting stroke survivors. The results will shed light on integrating the programme into the current stroke rehabilitation services.Ethics and disseminationThe Joint Chinese University of Hong Kong-New Territories East Cluster Clinical Research Ethics Committee has approved this protocol (CREC Ref. Tebas District is part of the 3 T region which has the largest population in Sambas district. Most of the population in the Tebas sub-district are spread in 23 villages where transportation access is quite alarming. This reality is not balanced with the number of non PNS Islamic religious instructors appointed by the Ministry of Religion, which amounted to only three people in 2019. Despite having limited personnel, the propaganda carried out with religious guidance was able to touch all circles and entire Tebas sub-district. This study aims to analyze da'wah through religious guidance carried out by Islamic religious instructors in the Tebas sub-district which is in the interior (3 T). This study is a field research using qualitative methods. The results of the analysis of the research findings can be concluded that the religious guidance carried out by Islamic religious instructors in the Tebas sub-district of Sambas district still uses a conventional coaching approach that emphasizes the delivery of da'wah messages orally and directly. Nonetheless, non-PNS Islamic religious instructors in Tebas district, Sambas district, their guidance efforts were carried out with a "pick up ball" pattern and were systematically scheduled. The selection of the guidance approach is based on the social reality of the missionary objectives that are still lagging behind both in terms of technology, access to information and transportation, and limited personnel resources in conducting guidance.

The Malaysian Sports School (MSS) is a governmental institution under the purview of the Ministry of Education Malaysia. It is a specialised institution that prioritises sports education and training for exceptionally gifted young athletes. The primary goal of MSS is to create a conducive environment for students to thrive in both academic and athletic pursuits. It is imperative to enhance the domain of sports at the school level in order to optimise the performance and accomplishments of student-athletes across different sports disciplines. Hence, this study aims to investigate the specific problems and obstacles encountered by top-tier coaches at MSS in nurturing gifted student-athletes The study employed the Qualitative Method, specifically utilising the Evolved Grounded Theory approach developed by Strauss and Corbin. Data was gathered from ten elite coaches in five MSS using in-depth semi-structured open interviews, observation, and document analysis. The purpose was to identify the primary issues and challenges they encountered. The data were transcribed exactly as spoken and analysed using Atlas. ti 8.0 software, following the recommended approach of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding as proposed by Strauss and Corbin. The study's findings indicate that coaching presents three primary challenges: 1) Roles and Responsibilities, 2) Performance goals, and 3) External Factors. In addition, there are three primary coaching issues: 1) Facilities, 2) Maintenance, and 3) Transportation. Hence, this discovery will assist MSS stakeholders, particularly the ministry and other stakeholders, in recognising and addressing areas that can be enhanced and reinforced for the mentoring and growth requirements of student athletes. This will ensure that MSS plays a pivotal role in cultivating skilled student athletes who can represent Malaysia in the future. Abstract:
Study Purpose. Principle of recovery for stroke patients is based on supportive activities that promote mobility functions and muscle movement. This situation requires attention to develop recovery aids as physical exercise for stroke survivors to regain the lost functions through rehabilitation. The aid is designed as an adapted wheelchair that is used both for strength training and as a means of transportation for stroke patients Material and Methods. Borg and Gall’s model of research and development consisting of 10 steps were adopted. 15 experts were used to evaluate the design of a wheelchair treadmill, and the criteria for their selection are licensed, authorized, and competent in their respective fields. Closed questionnaire on Likert scale with 5 optional answers was used to collect responses. Three aspects assessed were the mechanical, load intensity, and safety design. The data was in form of an expert's judgment, which will be calculated to obtain the mean score. Results. Results showed that machinist's average score was 77.50%, placing it in the appropriate category. Average score obtained from sports coaching experts was 83.50%, and its usage is also appropriate. Furthermore, average score obtained from physiotherapists’ assessment was 69.82% and should be majorly repaired before use. In conclusion, the design was 76.94% which indicates that the expert assessment is on “proper to use” criteria. However, the aspect of patient safety still needs to be improved. Conclusions. Data analysis concluded that the wheelchair design developed can be used as a therapeutic tool and as a mode of transportation for mild-severe stroke patients.

Abstract:
Passenger coach services grew enormously in England and Wales between 1681 and 1836. This article documents the spatial patterns using data from trade directories, original maps and geographic information systems. Digital mapping illustrates the development of long-distance services from London to various destinations, including resorts, ports, industrial towns and county towns. Mapping also illustrates the development of Country services between provincial towns, especially major hubs like Manchester and Birmingham, and commuter traffic around large conurbations. Overall the maps and figures point to substantial change in destinations and the structure of the coach network. Country coach services increased after the 1790s to complement the London services. By 1835, an extensive, interlinked network of long-stage coaches grew across the country and a radial network of daily-return services grew on roads leading into London. Beyond coaching, our findings illustrate how traditional primary sources can yield new insights when combined with geographic information systems.

Abstract:
Amid the sluggishness and deterioration of the national economy, came a business system that had much promise and success and offered wealth in a short time. This system became known as Multi Level Marketing (MLM) or Networking Marketing. Multi Level Marketing (MLM) systems cut distribution channels in conventional sales because it doesn't involve distributors or sole agents and wholesalers or sub-agents, but directly distributing products to independent distributors who work as retailers or sellers directly to consumers. In this way, marketing and distribution costs (transportation, warehouse rent, salaries and sales force commissions etc.) can be obtained transferred to an independent distributor with a system tiered which is generally adjusted to the achievement of targets the sales or turnover of the distributor concerned, coupled with the controversies regarding the MLM system in today's society, starting from the aspect of products that must be halal to the system transactions, bonus giving, member recruitment, and coaching who do not use things that are forbidden by Islam, then plus the elements of money games, maysir, dharar, dzulm, immoral and usury. So it becomes interesting when we see Multi Level Marketing (MLM) through the perspective of Islamic business ethics.

Abstract:
The need for the Civil Service to deploy Career Growth practices in order to increase workers performance and hone positive behaviour and attitudes has become urgent. Moreover, there are several documented studies across various cultures and countries on the organisational and individual benefits of career growth. Curiously, literature on career growth practices in the civil service of developing countries is under-researched. Considering this gap, this study conducted a literature review on career growth and highlighted its implications on the Civil Service in Nigeria. Based on the review, the study anchored the performance implications of career growth using career goal progress, professional ability development, and organisational rewards growth as foci. The study recommended that: opportunity for employees to attain or achieve their career goals and objectives should be provided; employees should be encouraged to participate in developmental programs and perform developmental tasks; workers should get coaching on how to define and achieve career objectives; more opportunity should be given to workers to learn new skills; salaries should be paid regularly; and government should reintroduce incentive programs, transportation allowances, meal subsidies, utility allowances, leave grants, and entertainment allowances.

Abstract:
The goal of this research is to evaluate the government's lobster business policies, particularly those that are aligned with the interests of fishermen (pro fishermen). Policy evaluation is critical in assessing the success of the lobster trade for the benefit of fishermen In this study, a qualitative method with a case study approach is used. Data was then gathered through observation, interviews, and supporting documentation. The informants interviewed in this study were chosen using snowball sampling based on their suitability with the required information. Informants include lobster catchers, traders, and local governments. The data is then analyzed using coding, categorization, comparison, and discussion research findings. The findings revealed that lobster trade policies were developed and implemented without the inclusion of fishermen as policy targets. As a result, they are excluded from existing policies and make it difficult for fishermen to find alternative sources of income. The failure of this policy is due to the following factors: (1) a lack of definitive data on lobster catching fishers; (2) an over-campaign concerning lobster availability in Simeulue.(3) There is no local government support for lobster cultivation efforts; (4) there is no socialization, coaching, equipment assistance, or capital injection; and (5) there is no local government support for carrier transportation modes.

Abstract:
Abstract Caregivers of older adults are at risk for poor physical and mental health outcomes. Chinese American caregivers, especially those who are recent immigrants, are at risks for developing health symptoms while less likely to seek outside help and utilize caregiver resources due to cultural barriers, low health literacy, and limited-English proficiency. This symposium will introduce the Caregiver Self-Management Program (CSMP), a training program based on the Body-Mind-Spirit model to equip Chinese immigrant caregivers with self-care knowledge, skills, and self-efficacy. We designed the in-person training to be four 3-hour sessions and pilot tested it among 11 Chinese caregivers. The training was well-received by participants; however, the caregivers’ duties and their working status, compounded with transportation barriers, leave them little time to participate in the intervention. To address these challenges, we further employed a user participatory approach to design, prototype, and pilot-test a CSMP mobile application (app) to meet the needs of Chinese immigrant caregivers. App functions included interactive multi-media lessons and practice, scheduling of coaching sessions for problem solving, extended readings, community resources, etc. We co-designed the app with seven caregiver co-designers, alpha-tested the app prototype with 12 caregivers, and beta-tested the app in real-life settings with 20 caregivers. Four presentations in the symposium will discuss the CSMP in-person training design and evaluation, influence of Chinese culture on caregiving and impacts of CSMP, user-participatory approach used in co-design and alpha-testing of the app prototype, and preliminary results from the beta-testing to assess external user acceptance and feasibility of the CSMP app.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Over three thousand children in Puerto Rico were potentially exposed to Zika virus infection during pregnancy during the 2016 Zika virus epidemic. This congenital exposure is an established risk factor for birth defects and neurodevelopmental abnormalities, which may appear after birth. Puerto Rico guidelines require consistent pediatric monitoring for early identification and intervention of children up to age five. Methods Our objective was to assess factors that influence caregiver adherence to Zika-related follow-up pediatric services in Puerto Rico. We conducted qualitative semi-structured focus groups and individual interviews with 57 individuals, including 35 caregivers (aged ≥18 years and a primary caregiver for a child with laboratory evidence of confirmed or possible Zika virus infection during pregnancy) and 22 healthcare providers or service coordinators. We explored participants’ views on barriers to Zika-related pediatric services and suggestions for improving appointment attendance. Interviews were recorded, transcribed, and translated. We developed and applied a coding scheme based on barriers and facilitators from the Andersen Model of Health Care Utilization and Katz Model for Adolescent Vaccine Adherence (a multi-step process influenced by adolescent and caregiver factors). Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Results Three themes influencing adherence to Zika-related pediatric follow-up care were consistently reported throughout the interviews and focus groups discussions: (1) logistics of getting child to appointments based on clinic location, availability and costs associated with transportation, and physical requirements to transport child or multiple children; (2) complexity of requirements for follow-up appointments; and (3) caregiver burden including emotional, social, and time. Conclusion Barriers to Zika-related pediatric follow-up care in Puerto Rico are complex and multi-level. Core intervention targets should include caregiver burden, health system navigation, and coaching caregivers in communication with pediatric providers. Use of a caregiver-delivered manualized intervention led by community health workers seems appropriate to achieve these goals. Disclosures All Authors: No reported disclosures

Abstract:
Abstract Minority participation in clinical trials is imperative to develop new prevention, detection, and treatment modalities for cancer because study samples must be representative to generalize findings to the disease population. As of 2020, low-SES populations, which have minority race/ethnicity prevalence, saw significantly greater risk from cancer mortality than their White, higher-income counterparts. This population has higher mortality from breast cancer (+10%), prostate cancer (+16%), colorectal cancer (+17%), and liver cancer (+26).1-2 Myriad drivers of health inequities3 act as barriers to clinical trial participation.1 Patient barriers include sociocultural and physical environment factors, while physician’ barriers include perceived loss of control, uncertainty, and lack of time to discuss research options.1 For example, 87% of patients surveyed in 2020 reported never having been invited to participate in a clinical trial with 41% not knowing anything about clinical trials; 9% had been asked, with <5% participating. Disparities were evident by minority race, low education level and income, and rurality.1,4 Retention and compliance barriers included participants’ loss of interest in the study, not having been assigned to a desired treatment, older age, low education, unemployment, and logistical barriers, such as transportation and child-care.4-5 Incorporating patient navigation programs into clinical trials helps correct for misinformation and builds trust between researchers and community members.5-7 The Increasing Minority Participation in Clinical Trials (IMPaCT) study (2007-2014, N=272), trained lay patient navigators (PNs) to guide patients through the eligibility process to enroll in cancer clinical trials at UAB. PNs also provided tailored support, including assistance with transportation and lodging, appointment reminder calls, social service referrals as appropriate, and linking patients with peer support. African American participation in therapeutic cancer clinical trials increased from 9% to 16%.4,6 UAB has had similar success with other patient navigation and health coaching studies, confirming PN benefits.8-10 An often overlooked barrier is researcher or physician implicit bias and the role bias plays in study design, particularly with regard to participant recruitment.11 Although everyone has biases, acknowledging how those biases affect our judgement and behaviors can be uncomfortable to process.12 When we address bias directly and take purposeful actions to mitigate implicit bias, patients benefit, enrollment increases among the populations most at risk, and results become generalizable.13-14 With the increasing amount of readily-available population-level data on incidence and mortality from various types of cancer registries, likely barriers to participation, including both patient-and researcher-centered, can be identified early in a study’s development and addressed during plan development. Finally, incorporating patient navigation into recruitment plans will enhance enrollment in cancer clinical trials. Citation Format: Mona N. Fouad. We developed a financial navigation program in collaboration with Consumer Education and Training Services (CENTS), Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF), and Family Reach Foundation (FRF), to offer financial coaching, insurance navigation, and assistance with unpaid non-medical bills. We conducted a pilot study to assess feasibility of enrolling cgs with pts and to describe the assistance provided. Methods: Pts with any stage solid tumor actively receiving treatment (tx) at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance were asked to identify a cg who could participate. Pts or pt/cg dyads received an online financial education course and monthly contact for 6 months (mo) with CENTS and PAF. Subjects were referred to FRF for assistance in paying non-medical bills. We describe pt and cg characteristics, and assistance provided by the program. Results: Of 54 pts approached, 30 (median age 59.5, 61% white, 97% stage III/IV disease) were consented. Most pts (53%) had income ≤ $25,000, and all were insured (48% commercial, 28% Medicare, 21% Medicaid). 18 cgs (67% spouse/partner) were consented. At consent, 55% of pts reported debt in the prior 3 mo. Mean score using the COST PRO FT measure (range 0-44, lower score = higher FT) was 17.4 at baseline. After pts’ physical health, out-of-pocket costs were the most stressful aspects of tx for cgs. Cgs with high financial burden from caregiving more often reported taking on new debt, dipping into retirement accounts, or changing their jobs or hours. CENTS coaches assisted with budgeting, updating wills, and employment rights counsel. PAF case managers assisted with financial assistance for drugs, cost of living (e.g. transportation), disability applications, and secured $6,950 in debt relief. FRF dispersed $4,133, primarily for housing expenses. Conclusions: Implementing a financial navigation program that engages both pts and cgs is feasible. This lower income, financially stressed population received $11,000 in financial assistance. Future work will focus on evaluating the impact of this program on financial and psychosocial outcomes in pts and cgs.

Abstract:
Abstract Purpose: Tumor genomic testing and cancer clinical trial enrollment provide key access to precision cancer therapeutics and supportive care options to enhance the patient experience. However, physician and patient barriers limit participation of patients who are historically underrepresented in genomic studies and clinical trials [historically underrepresented patients (HUP)], thereby decreasing generalizability for those most negatively affected by cancer diagnosis. We interviewed patients to identify factors impacting genomic testing uptake and clinical trial enrollment. Methods: From 09/2021 - 12/2021 we interviewed 16 patients diagnosed with cancer seen at an ambulatory oncology center. Patients were HUP (Black, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latinx, or older adult [70 years or older], or from a low-income zip code). From non-inclusive groups, patients identified as: 3 primarily spoke a language other than English, 9 Black, 3 other race, 6 Hispanic, and 3 aged 70 years or older. One-on-one interviews utilized a structured interview guide and lasted approximately 45 minutes. Participants were recruited until thematic saturation was reached then transcripts coded for major patterns and themes. Results: Regarding tumor genomic testing, many patients were unsure if they received testing or if testing was recommended (citing possible confusion with medical terminology or overwhelm with information). Cited barriers included education (not understanding the benefit of participating, investigational drug/device identity, the procedures and processes involved), mistrust of research (specifically concerns over data privacy); and logistical accessibility (cost, time away from work, transportation). Those tested found it to be an easy process. Several cited that a patient advocate or social worker would be beneficial to navigate the process. Barriers around clinical trial enrollment included education (the risks of participating/side effects, size of the study, investigational drug/device identity), mistrust of research (data privacy, inclusion of HUP in trial, loss of autonomy in decision making), and logistical accessibility (time commitment). HUP who participated in a clinical trial appreciated the additional psychosocial support and clinical monitoring. Patients were emphatically interested in participating in genomic testing and cancer clinical trials when presented as the best course of care, though concerns about side effects from clinical trials persisted. Conclusion: Patient barriers to tumor genomic testing and cancer clinical trials center around education, mistrust in research, and logistical accessibility. Patients who participated in genomic testing and clinical trials did have a positive experience. Barriers may be addressed with personalized education and coaching, including supportive resources referral. Citation Format: Ellana K. Haakenstad, Jane Roberts, Anna C. Abstract:
BACKGROUND Transportation influences attendance at posthospitalization appointments (PHAs). In 2017, our pediatric hospital medicine group found that our patients missed 38% of their scheduled PHAs, with several being due to transportation insecurity. To address this, we implemented a quality improvement project to perform inpatient assessment of transportation insecurity and provide mitigation with the goal of improving attendance at PHAs. METHODS The process measure was the percentage of patients with completed transportation insecurity screening, and the outcome measure was PHA attendance. An interprofessional team performed plan-do-study-act cycles. These included educating staff about the significance of transportation insecurity, its assessment, and documentation; embedding a list of local transportation resources in discharge instructions and coaching families on using these resources; notifying primary care providers of families with transportation insecurity; and auditing PHA attendance. RESULTS Between July 2018 and December 2019, electronic health record documentation of transportation insecurity assessment among patients on the pediatric hospital medicine service and discharged from the hospital (n = 1731) increased from 1% to 94%, families identified with transportation insecurity increased from 1.2% to 5%, and attendance at PHAs improved for all patients (62%–81%) and for those with transportation insecurity (0%–57%). Our balance measure, proportion of discharges by 2 pm, remained steady at 53%. Plan-do-study-act cycles revealed that emphasizing PHA importance, educating staff about transportation insecurity, and helping families identify and learn to use transportation resources all contributed to improvement. CONCLUSIONS Interventions implemented during the inpatient stay to assess for and mitigate transportation insecurity led to improvement in pediatric PHA attendance.

Abstract:
Abstract Background People with HIV (PWH) have complex needs, and those with limited health literacy consistently have poorer HIV-related knowledge and health outcomes. One strategy to facilitate better outcomes for PWH is the inclusion of community health workers (CHWs) into care teams. This cohort study examines the effect of health literacy on clinical outcomes and utilization of CHW services among PWH enrolled in a CHW intervention. The secondary aim is to characterize most common purposes of CHW encounters. Methods PWH (n = 209) enrolled in a CHW intervention with completed 6-month follow-up evaluation visits were included. Health literacy level was measured at baseline with the BRIEF tool and categorized into inadequate, marginal, and adequate health literacy. Adjusted logistic regressions assessed the effect of health literacy on viral load suppression, HIV primary care visits at 6-month follow-up, CHW utilization and purpose of CHW encounter. Purpose of CHW encounters included logistical support, accompany to appointment, transportation coordination, concrete services, coaching, and emotional support. Linear regression assessed the association between purpose of CHW encounters and CHW utilization. Results Individuals with inadequate health literacy were more likely to receive coaching from CHWs (p = 0.029), and individuals with marginal health literacy were more likely to have an HIV primary care visit at 6 months (p = 0.044). Individuals receiving transportation coordination, concrete services, coaching, and emotional support had more total CHW encounters. Conclusions Purpose of encounter was highly correlated with frequency of CHW encounters, while health literacy status was not. This suggests individuals receiving these services require more assistance from CHWs, regardless of health literacy level. Training CHWs to conduct comprehensive social needs assessment and screening for risk factors at the initial visit with clients can identify resources and guide CHW service delivery as part of the care team.

Abstract:
Based on the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, the bureaucracy has been simplified from four levels to two levels. This was carried out by equating certain functional positions. Efforts to simplify the organizational structure are a reflection of efforts to develop the optimal organization size. Organizational rightsizing has been defined as a series of activities which are carried out as part of organizational management designed to increase the efficiency, productivity and/or competitiveness of the organization. The challenge in equalizing administrative positions into functional positions is that there is no model in each ministry or agency, and this leads to a higher workload due to employees concurrently serving as a functional official and a coordinator or sub-coordinator according to the position before being equalized. This study employed qualitative research methods with a soft systems methodology approach. The process of equalizing positions was analyzed by comparing the rightsizing process through the actor’s conceptual model and the outcome. It was found that there is a need for policy changes so that the main managerial activities carried out as a result of the sub-coordinator’s role which cannot be replaced by functional positions can still be assessed as credit points. Also, there is a need for socialization and coaching in functional positions. The use of information technology also needs to be implemented to promote the performance of officials. Abstract:
TNP, a company in cargo transportation and logistics, is grappling with challenges such as high employee turnover and struggles to meet performance goals, both on an individual and team level. The company’s turnover rate exceeds its target, and the overall Key Performance Indicator (KPI) achievement by High-Level Management remains below the company’s standard of 80%. This study aims to improve the situation by analysing the current KPI framework. High turnover disrupts operations and suggests employee satisfaction problems, while inconsistent KPI achievement indicates operational inefficiencies. The study utilizes various methods, including interviews with High-Level Management, questionnaires for employees, and analysis of historical performance data. The analysis includes external and internal evaluations, leading to a SWOT analysis, which contributes to the research findings. These findings highlight several areas for enhancement. Proposed solutions involve implementing a High-Performing Team (HPT) model, drawing inspiration from Wageman and Hackman models. This model thrives on collaboration, utilizing collective skills to surpass individual contributions. It emphasizes open communication, knowledge sharing, and complementary skills to address turnover and improve KPI achievement. The study’s significance lies in its potential to guide TNP’s transformation. Through refining the KPI system and addressing underlying concerns, the study aims to provide actionable recommendations. Ultimately, the study suggests that adopting a high-performing team model could bridge existing gaps. By fostering a collaborative culture and implementing team coaching, the company could potentially revolutionize its cargo transportation and logistics services while also improving employee retention.

Abstract:
Background and Purpose: The recovery journey after stroke can be chronic and complicated. Studies found that stroke survivors had a lower self-efficacy in performing self-management. The purpose of this study was to explore the efficacy of supporting community-dwelling stroke survivors through volunteering by healthcare professionals and general public. Methods: The study was underpinned by Bandura’s constructs of self-efficacy and outcome expectation. A volunteer team of healthcare professionals and adult lay persons were recruited. Training manuals and a total of 10 scenario-based videos about home visiting and phone coaching respectively were developed. Training workshops were conducted for all volunteers. Practice sessions were conducted between the volunteers and stroke survivors. Semi-structured individual interviews were conducted with all volunteers about their experience of training, perceived challenges of volunteer services, and suggestions for improvement. The interviews were recorded and transcribed verbatim for thematic analysis. Results: A total of 13 volunteers (age range: 20-40 years) were recruited. Five were healthcare professionals (registered nurse or social worker). Four key themes were generated: (1) Continued community-based support to stroke survivors is crucial to address their chronic and complex physical and psychosocial challenges in recovery, (2) Collaboration between healthcare professionals and general public provided pragmatic and sustainable support to community-dwelling stroke survivors, (3) Support through home visiting and phone coaching was flexible and addressed the transportation problems common in stroke survivors, and (4) Psychosocial support was becoming more important in chronic stage of stroke recovery. Conclusions: The findings supported that collaboration between volunteer healthcare professionals and stroke survivors would provide an innovative and sustainable approach to support community-dwelling stroke survivors’ recovery in long term. The evidence will inform development and implementation of volunteer services and hence building community capacity to support recovery of stroke survivors.

Abstract:
Background: Chronic health conditions are highly prevalent among truck drivers due to many unique occupational and environmental stressors. Health promotion programs are shown to be effective in improving truck driver health outcomes; however, there is no research on whether such programs can increase the length of a driver’s Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate. The purpose of this quality improvement project was to evaluate Fit to Pass (FTP), a remotely accessible health promotion program available for truck drivers on improved health outcomes and increased DOT medical certificate length. Method: Program evaluation included an evaluation of the FTP coaching guide against evidence-based practice guidelines. An analysis of a limited dataset of 22 truck driver records examined the effectiveness of the program in achieving improved health outcomes and increased medical certification length. Findings: A review of the literature revealed three major themes: (a) motivational interviewing to increase driver intention and self-efficacy; (b) mobile health care technology to connect hard-to-reach truck drivers; and (c) effectiveness of structured multicomponent health promotion programs. After participation in FTP, truck drivers experienced a mean decrease in weight and body mass index (BMI) of 4.6 lbs and 1.3 kg/m2, respectively. The lengths of initial DOT medical certificates were compared with DOT medical certificates received at the time of recertification (post—FTP). Only eight participants had the potential for improvement in certificate length. Of those, three truck drivers achieved an increased DOT medical certificate length at the time of recertification. Conclusion/Applications to Practice: FTP offers tailored and comprehensive health coaching for truck drivers using current evidence-based practice guidelines to educate and reinforce healthy lifestyle habits. Analysis of a limited dataset revealed a mean decrease in BMI and a trend of increased DOT medical certification lengths after participation in FTP; however, further research with larger sample sizes is recommended.

Abstract:
This research examined domestic violence services and programs provided in rural and urban Pennsylvania. It identified the potential gaps in services and assessed programs adequacies from the perspective of program leaders. The study examined the needs and characteristics of both agencies and their clients. In addition, barriers to effective delivery of domestic violence services in Pennsylvania was examined. A Structured questionnaire was used as a primary method of data collection and explored answers for research question on the challenges and opportunities Domestic Violence agencies’ leaderships experiences in providing services. Sampling frame included 60 service providers from Pennsylvania, of which 45 agencies serving the survivors of Domestic Violence participated. Funding for this research was provided by a University grant and the partnership with Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence provided technical assistance and access to agencies. The agency leaders who agreed to participate were contacted and both in person and telephonic interviews were conducted. The interview lasted for about 45 -60 minutes. The study found that there is a wide consensus among leaders that transportation and transitional housing services are inadequate in their program service areas while services like crisis hotline, general advocacy and case management are exceptional. Over 50% of the agencies did not comment on the adequacies of the services such as Job Coaching, Immigrations services, Divorce/Custody representation, and Criminal Court representation. The results have several policy implications regarding federal and state government programs, specifically considerations to fund transportation, transitional housing and legal advocacy services.

Abstract:
Hospitals including all types of health care centers generate a lot of wastes per day which needs to be segregated, collected and transported to the treatment and disposal site according to the norms prescribed by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), India. After reading about mismanagement of bio-medical waste in local newspapers of Kota city, it was planned to perform an analytical study to find out the factual status. During study, the hospitals of Kota both government and private were visited and the status of bio-medical waste management was studied right from its generation to the final transportation from the hospitals by concerned agency nominated for this purpose. It was noticed that treatment and disposal facilities are not available at Kota and as per official records; the waste is transported to another city Alwar. During the study period, this fact could not be verified as there were no vehicles seen transporting bio-medical waste daily from Kota to Alwar and no monitoring system was seen in place for this purpose whether the operator has actually transported the waste to the treatment site or dumped it somewhere else with municipal solid waste. Other than this, many shortcomings in the system were also noticed during the study period. The segregation is not performed at the point of generation, the employees deployed for segregation, collection and transportation are neither sufficient in number nor well trained and do not have any safety equipment, transportation is not carried out properly and most critical point to note is that the city does not have any treatment plant of its own. There is a lack of awareness among all stakeholders regarding new Bio-Medical Waste Management (BMWM) Rules, 2016. The concerned authorities need to take an immediate action for proper management of bio-medical waste in Kota; otherwise it may create severe health hazards to human health, especially the young students studying in coaching institutes of Kota
