Abstract:
Upon graduation from seminaries in Russia, Students receive two diplomas – state and church, since the state does not recognize diplomas of the Russian Orthodox Church. Russian spiritual education is recognized abroad in some countries. For example, in the Ukrainian state, diplomas issued by the Russian Orthodox Church are recognized, but according to a special procedure. There is no such practice in Russia. The system of spiritual education in our state is subordinate to the Church, its bodies and regulations. On the part of the Church, attempts were made to solve the problem of recognition of diplomas through reforms, but this did not bring the expected result. Jurists and theologians have repeatedly raised this issue, but spiritual education in Russia is still not recognized. The article examines the history of the problem and the specifics of the regulation of spiritual education by the Church. In addition, another way to solve the problem is proposed.

Abstract:
Christian churches will lose an estimated $59 billion worldwide to embezzlement in 2022. Embezzlement and other white-collar crimes are property theft crimes characterized by the violation of another’s trust. This Comment names white-collar crimes committed exclusively by church leaders or officials “clerical-collar crimes.” Distinguishing clerical-collar crime from white-collar crime gives weight to and promotes future consideration of the unique problems that arise when church leaders and officials commit clerical-collar crime.Although clerical-collar crime is subject to civil and criminal liability, this Comment focuses solely on victims’ experiences in bringing civil claims against perpetrators of clerical-collar crime in Texas and leaves clerical-collar crime prosecution and punishment to future study. This Comment begins by examining three reasons why churches are uniquely vulnerable to clerical-collar crime. Then, this Comment describes three civil claims church members can bring against perpetrators of clerical-collar crime, two challenges church members face in bringing those claims in Texas, and the difficulty of recovering stolen property due to the judgment-proof problem. This Comment concludes by making several recommendations to protect churches from clerical-collar crime and mitigate victims’ losses.

Abstract: The problems of the church today must be carefully considered in order to think carefully about what must be done to achieve a church growth in accordance with God's will. In fact today the church is not growing because so many people were lost after they accepted Jesus. A general description of continued guidance that results in church growth that is happening today is that the problem is the existence of a weakness and negligence of the church, namely the lack of steady implementation of further guidance services which results in church growth being less stable in quality. Abstract:
The article is dedicated to one of the most relevant issues in religious thought—the preservation of church tradition. The interest in this issue became particularly acute for Russian religious thinkers of the 20th century, who witnessed radical changes in living conditions and collective consciousness. The article examines the interpretation of the issue in the works by Sergey Fudel (1900–1977), a church writer and carrier of pre-revolutionary Russian culture. He had communication with outstanding spiritual figures spanning the late 19th to the 20th centuries, confessors of faith, and new martyrs. The church and historical context of Fudel’s works is explored, clarifying the connection between the writer’s views on the transmission of church tradition, his own biography, the figures of his mentors, and the existence conditions for the persecuted Church, evidenced in Fudel’s writings. The article sheds light on the writer’s response to changes in the conditions of church life in the mid-20th century and the feeling of a “generation gap” that emerged in him. It reconstructs Fudel’s notion of the “monastery in the world” as an environment where church tradition is preserved. The correlation between Fudel’s concept of church tradition and his ecclesiological views is illuminated. The research findings lead to the conclusion that the phenomenon of the “hidden Church” as an alliance of “two or three” disciples of Christ was not, in Fudel’s view, a temporary solution stemming from the era of persecutions. Instead, the writer regarded such an experience as an exposition of the Church’s original teaching about itself and an enduring model of church relations. Like many others, Fudel acknowledged the providential significance of trials undergone by the Russian Church. However, he insisted that the experience of the “hidden Church” revealed the original teaching of the Church about itself, preserved throughout the ages. The article also considers the relationship between Fudel’s views and other approaches to the “generation gap” problem. Fudel’s evaluation of previous eras, marked by the “external prosperity” of Christianity, allows characterization of his attitude towards various concepts of tradition, both classical, tracing back to the times of the Byzantine Empire, and those contemporary to the writer.

In the opinion of Bogdan Ferdek, the new book of Agnieszka Łoza and Paweł Beyga is a special theological report on the state of the Church in Poland. During the pandemic time since 2021 the Catholic Church has had to search for solving problems in the Christian community. According to the authors of this new book, in the Polish Catholic Church two kinds of problems can be discovered. Firstly, there is a problem with morality among the clergy, the problems of sexual abuse and teaching the Catholic religion in Polish schools. Conversely, there is a problem related to the secularization of Polish people. Bogdan Ferdek in his review showed that the new book of two young Polish theologians is an answer to very important questions in the Polish Christendom in the time of the pandemic.

Abstract:
AbstractThe church has an important role in a movement for the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Great Commission is the center of the church in carrying out the mission of the Kingdom of God in this wolrd. Since the days of the early church, the church has experienced tremendous growth. Many souls believed in Jesus and experienced tremendous spiritual growth. The extraordinary growth of God’s church makes all components of the church must be well integrated into a unified whole. All of this cannot be separated from the Lord Jesus prayer so that His disciples remain united in the project of the great commission. But in reality, the church that should have remained united as the Lord Jesus prayer in John 17:1-26 did not materialize well. The church began to fokus on worldly interests and was no longer a universal church unit. Some of the problem that occurred, the disorganization of the church which is often referred to as ecumenical did not happen well, because of differences in doctrine, there are elements of self-interest, leadership problem and finanacial problems. So that the essence of the church to carry out the mission of the great commsission has shifted. This writing uses a descriptive method of literature by extracting library data ro strengthen understanding as a whole. The goal is that through writing, namely, First, church leaders realize how important a unity is in God’s church. Second, the church becomes a pleasant family as a member of the body of Christ. Third, believers are focused again on thinking about the realization of the Lord Jesus prayer, so that they become one.. Keywords: Ecumenical, Unity, Church, Christian, Jesus Prayer.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the actual problem for the Russian Orthodox Church related to the new phenomenon in the history of the Church – the non-church religious majority consisting of people baptized in the Orthodox Church but practically not identifying themselves with the Church and even opposing themselves to it. This phenomenon characterizes our society as post-secular which religiosity was separated from the main religious institutions and became an individual project that everyone realizes independently, using what traditional religious institutions give, for example Baptism, but maintaining from them independence and distance. The actual strategy of the Russian Orthodox Church in the interaction with the state and society is traditionally focused on the idea of a symphony of powers of the state and the church but this strategy is ineffective in interaction with society. The reason is the non-church nature of the religious majority and also the absence of the expected socially significant activity of the Church that people would be ready to identify with. The internal mission of Church for the baptized people is oriented towards the knowledge-based approach and fits as such into the post-secular model of religiosity. The activity-oriented approach can change the situation. It requires socially significant activity from the Church and involving people into it. This will be a return to the ancient practice of the Church, when the life of a Christian was associated with serving his neighbor. Such activities will make it possible to actualize the Christian teaching in the modern anthropological and social situation, will reveal the essence of the Christian idea of ontological transcending, which consists not in avoiding people, but in communication, and will allow the Church to carry out its mission in the post-secular space as a socially significant institution.

Abstract:
This study departs from the Christian life of the reform era. Where the Church seems unable to serve amid poverty and political uncertainty. Christianity is challenged to contextualize theology, mission, dialogue, political service in society. The problem of closing the Church was due to the issue of building permits (IMB). The author aims in this paper so that the Church strives for peace for all people. The approach of this study is a literature study on the thinking and struggles of the Church in society. So the Church does not only take care of the organization and a large amount of money in the church treasury. Nevertheless, the Church is required to care about social problems that occur. Therefore, the Church must apply several principles, namely: first, the Church needs to understand other people's religions. Second, the Church needs to build healthy discussions both between religions and between denominations. Third, the Church prioritizes the mission for the benefit of humanity.

Abstract:
The writings of John Courtney Murray, S.J., are preoccupied with the problem of reconciling the American experience of religious liberty with Catholic doctrine on relations between Church and state. This essay examines four analytical tools the Jesuit priest applied to problems of Church-state relations: thesis and hypothesis, applying unchanging principles to variable circumstances, the development of doctrine, and historical consciousness. Though he was wary of formulating universal rules, Murray articulated four enduring principles of Church-state relations. These analytical tools and enduring principles may help guide current debates about matters of Church and state.

Hooker's writings have received more scholarly attention than those of any other contemporary church polemicist but no consensus has, as yet, been arrived at regarding the nature of his argument or the way in which his ideas addressed the major issues of Elizabethan church controversy. It is my intention in this essay to focus on these issues and thus provide some insight into the details of Hooker's theory of law and its broader significance as an argument relating to the legislative authority of the Church of England.

The pastor has a very important influence on his church. The leadership of a pastor in a church will affect the growth that occurs in the church. A healthy church is a growing church. However, pastors sometimes neglect to provide guidance so that the church does not grow. If there is no action, an appropriate method of counseling is applied in the church, it will cause a more complicated problem. The purpose of this study is to reveal the role of the pastor on leadership and growth in the church. The problems in this study are as follows: What is the role of the pastor on church leadership and growth in the perspective of pastoral counseling?. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results used in this study indicate a form of pastoral counseling method given by the pastor to congregation members as leaders and to increase church growth. The existence of pastoral counseling can help the pastor's role in leadership in the church and display a superior character, trustworthy attitude and role model in growing the church.

Abstract:
This article examines some controversial aspects of scholarly terminology concerning the phenomenon of so-called “folk” or “popular Orthodoxy”. Particular attention is paid to a comparative analysis of the superstitious, magical rituals of unchurched yet baptized society and traditional forms of church piety. The aim of the work is to consider the problem of Russian anti-Orthodox spirituality from an Orthodox point of view, although the harmfulness of the anti-Christian “spirituality” of extra-church mysticism and ritualism from the point of view of the church is discussed separately. The author comes to the conclusion that such terms as “folkloric, everyday, or folk Orthodoxy” presuppose not the people’s “dual faith,” but superstitious religious ideas that are outside of church life.

Abstract:
This article uses the library research method. The research conducted is an attempt to describe the "Significance of Understanding Human Damage as the Image of God in Pastoral Counseling Services for Church Members". This research aims to contribute thoughts on the problems currently being experienced by some members of the church. The problem is, there are not a few church members who still do not maintain the divinity of God's attributes within them. Thus, the tendency that occurs is that church members act arbitrarily without realizing that they are the image and likeness of God; who has a role as a representative in this world in protecting and caring for His creation. So as an alternative problem solving, one of the most effective approaches is pastoral counseling services. Through the pastoral counseling service, church members must be educated and guided so that they realize that within themselves there are attributes of God that must be maintained with holiness. One of the ways is by avoiding various things that mix and are related to sin.

Abstract:
Sacred wooden architecture in Poland is a huge and still unrecognised research problem. It covers a number of issues of interdisciplinary character: from the properties of building materials and carpentry techniques, through constructionand architectural-spatial solutions, to cultural and natural conditions. Hence, the best way to study this problem is interdisciplinary research. The necessity of cooperation of representatives of various scientific disciplines became the basis for creating a team to study the wooden church of St Michael the Archangel in Domachowo, so far dated to 1568. As researchers representing various disciplines (including archaeology, history, art history, history of architecture, architecture, architectural conservation), we cite sources and research that allow us to formulate a thesis that the past of the Domachowo church dates back to the 14th century. Moreover, we present the research and methodological problems inscribed in the aforementioned church building, understood as a whole. Such a multifaceted approach allows us to redefine the current knowledge about the church in Domachowo.

Abstract:
In the development of the church today, the problem that arises is the confusion of people who sin, the church seems to ignore the implementation of church discipline. This neglect is wrong attitude, because it does not carry out church discipline that means the church allows a person to fall into sin the reason of fear for making the person offended even though this kind of attitude makes the person's spiritual growth die. Death spiritual growth will become the root of the problem in the church and have an adverse effect on other congregations, therefore church leaders must be brave in making decisions. The method used in this paper is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that church discipline is very important in correcting mistakes so that the congregation can live righteously according to God's Word. The church needs to be brave in taking decisions in carrying out church discipline, and must not neglect the implementation of church discipline, because church discipline is God's command according to the truth of God's Word.

The ecumenical dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Anglican Communion is one of the most important and difficult part of activity of both communities. Eucharist is the main goal of ecumenism because in the common celebrating of the sacred liturgy the Christ’s Church is a visible sign of the unity for the world. One of the most important theological problems in the dialogue is the problem of transsubstantiation. For the Anglican Church this Catholic doctrine is against the biblical and rudimental teaching of primitive Christendom. The article shows the problem of trans- substantiation in the ecumenical perspective and in the context of Divine Worship: The Missal. The Catholic Eucharistic teaching is present in this new Western liturgical book, but the term of trans- substantiation does not exist there.

One of the main internal social problems with which the institution of the Catholic Church struggles over the last two pontificates is the occurrence of pedophilia in its ranks. The article analyzes the difference in the approach to the problem over the last two pontificates, and the studied scale of the phenomenon and the territorial scope allow undoubtedly giving this practice a global character. Based on the analyzes of pontificates, the picture of the problem of pedophilia in the Church clearly emerges as a legacy after many years of policy of covering this type of sexual abuse by church leaders. The disclosure of cases of sexual abuse committed by ministers in individual countries was the direct cause of the crisis of the local universal Churches during the pontificate of Benedict XVI and Pope Francis.

Abstract:
A series of incidents involving places of worship are still widespread in Indonesia. In recent years, the construction of places of worship has become an interesting problem not only in the social context of interaction between religious communities but also conflict resolution in Indonesia. Minority religious groups tend to have difficulty establishing or renovating their places of worship because they receive pressure and intervention from the majority group. This research explores the issue of residents' rejection and closing and stopping the process of building a house of worship for the HKBP Efrata Church in Gresik Regency, East Java. The aim of this research is to describe the things that trigger conflict and analyze the conflict resolution mechanism of the HKBP Efrata Driyorejo Gresik church. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method, namely a research effort based on methodology in studying the phenomenon of conflict over places of worship at the HKBP Efrata Driyorejo Gresik Church. It is known that the church was prohibited from carrying out worship activities by local residents for approximately 6 (six) years due to problems with permits to carry out worship in the area. After receiving permission, disturbances often arise when the congregation performs their worship, such as noise coming from motorized vehicles and restrictions on the worship schedule given by local residents. Keywords: church founding conflicts, gereja HKBP Efrata Gresik, religious house building regulations, religious house conflicts

Abstract:
Purpose: This research intended to conduct a theological appraisal of the church’s teachings on human sexuality and the role she has in mitigating the problems ensuing from a lack of understanding or misuse of human sexuality. The researcher discussed the problem of sexuality by examining the views of authors who agreed with the fact that there was a problem in the way society had understood and harnessed human sexuality. The response and teaching of the church were a central concern of the researcher. The researcher discussed the problem of condemning the victims of sexual perversion and further expressed the need for the church to redefine her methods of reclaiming people from unhealthy and unbiblical sexual habits. Methodology: This study used a qualitative design. The researcher collected data from individuals from three selected churches in Nairobi County, Kenya with semi-structured interviews as the sole instrument of data collection. The analyses of the data were done using thematic and descriptive analysis methods. The three churches included Christ is The Answer Ministries (CITAM) Valley Road, African Inland Church, Milimani and Ufalme Church, Nairobi. Findings: The findings revealed that the church had not done enough in teaching about human sexuality and in giving a practical solution to church members who struggled with sexual perversions. This left Christians with unorthodox sources of information and education on the subject such as media and the internet. Unique contribution to theory and practice: The researcher recommends that the church should treat human sexuality as an important area that should not be shunned but should be addressed with passion. Correct biblical guidance on recovery and freedom from addictions should be offered by church pastors to all persons that have sexual addictions and the ones that have the potential of struggling with sexual perversions. The church should work to enhance psycho-social therapies to help members of their congregation and others who have sexual addictions.

English law has long held the principle that religions should be free from interference by the state in certain matters. The original 1215 edition of the Magna Carta proclaimed, as its first article, ‘THAT WE HAVE GRANTED TO GOD, and by this present charter have confirmed for us and our heirs in perpetuity, that the English Church shall be free, and shall have its rights undiminished, and its liberties unimpaired.’This article was intended to protect the established Catholic Church from the powers of the state, specifically from interference in church elections by the executive in the form of the person of the monarch. The notion that religions were institutions with practices and beliefs that were outside the control of the state in certain respects was adopted by the common law and is found in modern times in the principle of non-justiciability on the matter of religion in certain types of civil case.

Pastoral care for the objectors and the impatient: a church growth perspective The aim of this article is to develop a pastoral theological perspective to a recent pastoral problem. This problem is the growing polarization within churches (with the focus on the Dutch Reformed Church) in South Africa today due to theological, church policy, social, economical and political factors. These factors are outlined and analysed systematically. Special attention is paid to the two poles - the objectors and the impatient. The "objector" is described as the church member who experiences an increasing concern and impasse with the church regarding new directions that are followed, and which are not correct according to his convictions and perceptions. The "impatient" is described as a church member who experiences an Increasing impasse with the church because according to him the church is not going far enough in concretizing the full consequences of church policy (as spelled out in Church and Society for example). The nature, symptoms and needs of both are examined and guidelines for a directed pastoral care are proposed.

Abstract:
The growth of a church is not instant. Expected growth cannot be separated from the influence of comprehensive teaching from a pastor and other instructors, the true growth process of the Church is inseparable from a way that is through discipleship, so that the congregation that he pastors may grow in quality and quantity to lead to the expected maturity by Christ. In fact in the church where the researchers joined, namely GPSI Shekinah Samarinda, the Assumption found several problems regarding the commitment of the congregation in GPSI Region I Samarinda. A temporary assumption is that not a few local church congregations do not reside or in other words like to move around church denominations. This is a sign that there is a problem with the so-called effect of a healthy shepherding on the growth of local congregations. This temporary assumption needs to be explored more depth in what causes and how local church congregations who are supposed to comply with local church rules, in fact do not implement and have no commitment to the local church.

Abstract:
The theocratic models of dialogue between church and state were reconstructed. The central problem of the article is the explication of emergence of the socio-historical situation that once again called for a new formulation of the traditional problem of the church and state interaction as a significant resource for achieving a social consensus and a successful development of society as a whole. The strategy of socio-dynamics of modern society is substantiated, in which the constant and constructive church and state interaction should be considered as a necessary and unique resource for its civilizational capabilities to successfully resolve both global and regional-local problems and contradictions of the modern world. The analysis of the history of Europe and a subsequent secularization of its cultural space justify the fact that just the elaboration of the strategy of the church and state interaction led to the situation that Christian cultural values, remaining in many respects a meaningful constant of the European culture, arrange their clerical nature and successfully integrate into the secular cultural landscape.

Abstract:
The article examines the axiological foundation of interaction between church law and culture, highlight problems concerning the criteria of correlation between church law and culture, a large number of approaches to definition of these terms, comparison methodology. Possible variants of the relationship between church law and culture are identified, such as: the opposition of church law and culture; church law as part of culture; church law includes culture as a social context of churchlegal issues; church law and culture are considered together. The problem of the correlation of ecclesiastical and canonical law is outlined, which will help to avoid terminological confusion and highlight the essential characteristics of ecclesiastical law. Operational definitions of “culture” and “church law” concepts are given. Using a legal approach, it is established that the relationship between church law and culture is realized through the category of legal regulation. A theoretical approach to the study of interaction between church law and culture through the prism of cultural heritage of the church is proposed, while the term “cultural heritage of the church” is interpreted and typologized by the author, in particular, it is proposed to distinguish material and spiritual cultural values of the church. The formation of the cultural values of the church has its own evolution, the subject of church law includes issues of preservation and use of the cultural values of the church (the cultural heritage of the Russian Orthodox Church). With the help of the norms of church law, the mechanism for solving issues of preserving and using the cultural values of the church is outlined.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the cross-cutting consideration of the problem of dialogical interaction between two close phenomena of art related to religious themes: church, liturgical art, which participates in worship, and secular art on religious themes. The stages of their interaction in Russian art of the 20th—21st centuries are considered. The prehistory of this phenomenon dates back to the middle of the 19th century, when the division into religious and church art already existed in fact, but was realised only in the early 20th century in connection with the work of Mikhail Nesterov. Then, over the course of the century, we observe a series of stages of interaction between religious and church art in their convergences and divergences. The era of the Silver Age, with its heightened sense of the religious beginning in art and life, is replaced by times of state atheism, very heterogeneous, including with regard to religious themes. The time of 1920 —early 1930s is characterized by a relatively free artistic search in the sphere of religious themes. At the beginning of the Stalinist period, religious themes in both church and secular aspects were banned, and at the end of the period there was a revival. During the Thaw years, along with the persecution of the church in unofficial culture, a broad interest in religious themes in secular painting emerged and a gradual, albeit localized, rise in contemporary church art began. The late Soviet period is characterized by the gradual establishment and initial legalization of religious and church art. In the 1990s — 2010s, a broad revival and development of church art began, and the religious theme became the focus of attention, including contemporary contemporary art. Once again, as in the early twentieth century, there are conditions and artistic aspirations for a mutually enriching dialogue between church and religious art. The study of various aspects of this interaction in Russian art is an urgent and multifaceted task.

Abstract:
John Foxe's De censura, sive excommunicatione ecclesiastica, rectoque eius usu, published in 1551, was the earliest tract to be written by an English Protestant on the subject of ecclesiastical discipline and, as such, deserves a closer examination than it has received to date. Given that continental Protestants and, later on, Puritan apologists alike accepted as axiomatic that the Reformation could only be established on the twin pillars of pure doctrine and right discipline, the appearance at this time, amid a stream of doctrinal polemic, of a tract on discipline, was significant. It indicated that Protestants had become confident enough, after waging war on the claims of the Church of Rome, to regulate the lives of its members, to assert similar claims in the name of Scripture and reformed ‘true religion’. That this tract should appear in Edward VI's reign, and not earlier, was important in this respect, for the effect of the Henrician Reformation had been to render impossible any suggestion that the Church should or could be autonomous in discipline. The psychological climate - as well as the theoretical framework - of the Supremacy persisted throughout Edward's reign, but the fact that the king was a minor gave Protestants a breathing space in which to approach the problem of trying to bring the Church into line with pure, apostolic models. In terms of quantity of published material, doctrine, rather than discipline, was undoubtedly much the more important of the issues discussed; by dealing with discipline a Protestant writer was grasping the nettle, for the subject raised questions about the relative roles of Church and State in the reformation of society and, ultimately, about the structure of the national Church. Foxe's tract was the first attempt to face the question of discipline; that it was the only one, even in Edward vi's reign, showed what a hold the Supremacy had taken. The aim of this article, therefore, is to bring out the significance of Foxe ‘s tract and to explore some of the tensions in mid-Tudor Protestant thought which it reflects. The first part (by Catharine Davies) aims to set it more precisely in its Edwardian context; the second (by Jane Facey) uses it to illuminate the changed emphasis of Foxe's thought on the relationship of Church and State required by the writing of the Acts and Monuments.
