Abstract:
With taking part in WTO,the Chinese market of urban planning and urban design is gradually opening up,the way of joint design become more popular than before. It can bring positive impact to original mode of thinking training and reform traditional way of working, etc. However, foreign designers are not perfect. Mostly, they just focus on their personality and thinking,so it is difficult to make a perfect combination of concluding idea of design ,the environment, and the culture. So,the Chinese designer should take part in joint design project actively.

Abstract:
In the process of internationalizing higher education, national governments play their role differently, and the relationship between Chinese institutions and the government is significantly different from that experienced by Western institutions. A critical distinction is that Chinese institutions are both academic entities and government institutions that implement government policies and goals. In relation to the internationalization of higher education, the Chinese government has shown a strong supporting attitude and has four main roles: national strategy designer and program planner, major funding provider, executive director, and regulator and supervisor. The internationalization of Chinese higher education has always been strategically designed and programmed by the government; consequently institutions formulate their own strategies and plans within the framework of the national ones. Though fundamental reforms are being implemented continuously, the Chinese government is still the major provider of funding for internationalization, just as it is for the whole public education sector. The Chinese government also acts like the executive director of a corporation in managing the internationalization of higher education. Government regulation and supervision are deeply embedded in the daily operation of Chinese institutions owing to political anxieties and economic considerations. The government’s four roles could be seen as inevitable and shared widely by many national governments, yet they are essential for characterizing the way the Chinese government plays its roles. This paper presents a theoretical exploration of governmental roles in internationalizing higher education, a topic that has attracted too little attention and requires further systematic analysis by educational researchers.

Abstract:
AbstractEnglish language learning (ELL) websites and digital resources have been recognized as an important source of linguistic and cultural knowledge for English as a foreign language (EFL) learners to explore. The up-to-date information carried by authentic materials is invaluable for learners to develop an understanding of the target language/culture. However, there appears to be a gap between what the designer intends and what the user wants. This paper investigates Chinese university EFL teachers’ perceptions of online English language websites and resources. The study focuses on a number of components of major language areas and skills in ELL websites, website materials, language users’ preferences, and website usability. A total of 1519 English academics from 139 universities across China completed the online survey, and 164 of them voluntarily participated in focus group interviews anonymously. The empirical evidence of this study has highlighted that a pedagogically-oriented ELL website, targeting audiences with a variety of language proficiencies, was much liked by the Chinese EFL teachers. A preference was observed to see more current authentic language, examination-oriented English learning materials and tasks, and Eastern/non-Anglophone topics in the websites. In addition, it is found that website usability is another key factor that would impact ELL website popularity. A well-designed ELL website can effectively assist Chinese EFL learners to enhance their language competence and achieve optimal learning outcomes. This study provides a context-specific empirical base for innovative web-based EFL learning and teaching as well as website design and materials development in China. The proposed key features of a preferred ELL website may help better inform website designers, content writers and evaluators in their ELL website design/evaluation.

Chueng-Nainby, Priscilla. "Conceptualisation, or not? : an ethnographic study in describing early design collaboration between Western designers and Chinese designers." Thesis, Edinburgh Napier University, 2010. http://researchrepository.napier.ac.uk/Output/4416.

Full text
Abstract:
This thesis brings forth a perspective on the need for an isolated conceptual design phase in process models of designing. The perspective is made possible by identifying theories to describe designers in practice. The research sets out to describe concept negotiation during early design collaboration in cross-cultural teams of Western designers and Chinese designers. A series of ethnographic studies and in-depth interviews were carried out in a leading design practice in China on collocated and synchronous teams of Chinese designers from Mainland China, and Western designers from Germany, France and America. Themes were interpreted from the observations and interview through inductive analyses using a grounded theory approach and a hermeneutic circle. Silences among Chinese designers were first observed during design meetings, instead of verbal discussion in an argumentative process as anticipated by the social process of negotiation. Socio-linguistic reasons are understood to be influential but rectifiable by both Western and Chinese designers. Instead, a pattern of their differences in concept articulation became evidential and brought about a subsequent hermeneutic turn to also describe concept generation. The description on their cognitive patterns found dichotomies in creative processes between Western and Chinese designers. Specifically it was found that Chinese designers tend to ideate and Western designers tend to conceptualise. To overcome the dichotomies, the company's elaborate design process with an abstract-concrete progression was simplified into a situationist design cycle in which designing happens in a creative space. A literature review on design processes identified the isolated conceptual design phase as a fixated ideal from 1980s design models. Crucially, the conceptual design phase with an abstract-concrete progression is equated with the early design stage when studying designers in collaboration. Conceptualisation and concepts remain very much influential today. The dichotomies in creative processes between Western designers and Chinese designers brought to light an epistemological comparison between the rationalist and the situationist. The dichotomies were at first posed as difficulties but later overcome by the cross-cultural teams by making their practice flexible without specific design process. Instead of commonly studying designers at the conceptual design stage and analysing design concept, this thesis identified the designers' differences in creative processes as factors to be considered when studying designers in collaboration.

Abstract:
This is a qualitative study, and the purpose is to examine and gain a deeper understanding of China’s school system. Results from international comparative studies, such as the PISA survey and the TIMSS study, show that Chinese students have the highest mathematical scores. This evoked our interest and led to the beginning of this study. The research material comes from observations at three schools and interviews with in-service teachers, pre-service teachers and a head teacher in Hohhot, China. The results and the conclusion of this study shows that the content in the Chinese curriculum is comprehensive and does not give much time to individualize the lessons. The Chinese school system is very exam-oriented, and together with the pressure from the society and their parents, the students are forced to spend a lot of time to study. Another conclusion to this study is that pre-service teachers in China do not have much teacher practice at schools, but they study a lot of mathematics and methodology separately at the university.

AbstractThis paper designs and implements a private cloud platform deployed on an office system that supports domestic software and hardware. With the rapid development of cloud computing, more and more enterprises and users choose cloud platform as a vital Internet resource. At present, most private cloud technologies rely on mature foreign commercial applications and frameworks, and it isn’t easy to achieve compatibility between Chinese software and hardware. Therefore, it is urgent to design a private cloud platform that supports Chinese software and hardware. The key private cloud technology of the cloud platform designed in this paper is the key technology of private cloud that supports independent and controllable Chinese software and hardware. The cloud platform uses virtual computing, virtual storage, virtual network, and other technologies to complete the virtualization of computing resources, storage resources, and network resources. Users can centrally schedule and manage virtual resources.

<p>Two identical high-rise reinforced concrete (RC) frame-core-tube structures, located in Beijing China and San Francisco America, respectively, are designed using the Chinese and the American codes. Methods to determine load, seismic action, and material strength for seismic design in the Chinese and American codes are presents in this paper, and the major differences of design results are compared. Elastic response of the two structures are calculated by the mode-superposition response spectrum method, and the member dimension, dynamic characteristics, displacement, and reinforcement are compared. Furthermore, the dynamic elastic-plastic behavior is conducted using 10 sets of earthquake waves to analyze the collapse probability. Results reveal that the two structures designed by the Chinese and American codes show some differences in the dynamic behavior, displacement and reinforcement in the boundary restraint elements of shear walls due to the different design methods in the Chinese and American codes.</p>

Sound notation of sinographs has been a problem since the sinographs were in use. For a long time there was no appropriate method to indicate the pronunciation of sinographs to learners. With the design of different methods of sinograph sound notation, such as Direct Notation, Fan-qie, the National Sound Notation Alphabet, the Scheme of the Chinese Phonemic Alphabet, the analysis of the Chinese word syllable has developed, with an increasingly delicated segmentation in the Chinese syllable. The latter three methods, which cut the Chinese word syllable into two, three and four parts respectively, have been designed under the influence of foreign linguistics scholarship. Communications between China and India and European countries have been an impetus for the progress in Chinese syllabic analysis.

<p>The function of bridges would be significantly influenced by the damage of piers during the earthquake, which would affect the rescue and reconstruction after the earthquake. Therefore, it is of great significance to carry out the comparative study on the seismic design and check of piers by the Chinese and European codes. The results show that the seismic design concepts of piers in the Chinese and European codes are the same. The behaviour factor and the seismic importance factor are used to reduce the seismic action in the European code and the Chinese code, respectively. For the check of shear capacity, the contributions of stirrups and concrete are separately considered in the European code, while they are simultaneously considered in the Chinese code. The steel weight of the pier designing by using Chinese codes is lower than that using European codes. The requirement on the minimum transverse reinforcement ratio in the European code is higher than that in the Chinese code.</p>

Abstract:
China's "13th Five-Year Plan" points out that the development of the industry should adapt to the development trend of multi-media technology. Nowadays, augmented reality and virtual reality technologies have gradually penetrated into our daily life and have had a significant impact in many aspects. Since ancient times, there have been many important educational ideas in China. With the development of the Internet, there is a particular focus on the importance of Chinese characters. In recent years, the application of AR design and related research in various fields of children's education has also developed rapidly, at the same time, the unique interactive, immersive and imaginative characteristics of AR technology have greatly improved the enthusiasm and initiative of learning because they conform to children's figurative thinking. Therefore, in this environment, it is meaningful to explore how to effectively create a sought after AR children's Chinese character construction enlightenment game.【Methods】: This paper introduces augmented reality technology into the field of children's Chinese character education through technical research to create a design method of virtual-real interaction. This paper discovers the characteristics of children's language education, as well as the Chinese character root method through theoretical research, and finds the fit in children's cognitive development and the character root method. The author attempts to design a suitable set of diagrams to tap into the similarities between word-making thinking and product thinking. This paper finds the AR teaching format through market research. It weakens the one-way indoctrination process of product knowledge information and gives play to children's subjective initiative. The content is intuitive and can be used to perceive information through visual, tactile and auditory senses in a comprehensive manner.【Result】: “Chinese Characters Factory” is developed based on the Unity 3D, with ARkit as an augmented reality technology solution, run on the IOS platform. Users have access to game experience with iPad. The whole design practice is divided into three systems: Chinese character experiment system, mapping collection system and entertainment interactive system. The Chinese Character Experiment System was inspired by chemical experiments. Chinese characters are formed by the combination of character roots and graphemes with corresponding character formation methods. It identifies the Chinese character card images in the physical environment according to the image tracking technology of ARkit, being able to superpose Chinese character models. In addition, mapping collection system and entertainment interactive system are used to solve children's Chinese character literacy, novel and entertaining growth education.【Conclusion】: Children's educational products with augmented reality technology are important and innovative for the development of children's minds. It is highly interactive and rich in teaching content presentation, so it can mobilize children's all-round perception of information, which greatly stimulates children's learning interest in the learning process and brings a brand-new experience to teaching.Based on the characteristics of Chinese characters, "Chinese character Factory" is a Chinese character AR game that fits the characteristics of language education and the cognitive development of preschool children. It applies the advantages of augmented reality technology to help children learn and memorize Chinese characters in a gamified way by experimenting with synthetic Chinese characters, bringing children a vivid and interesting Chinese character learning experience. At the same time, "Chinese character test" is ready to be put on the App store. At present, the application of educational products based on augmented reality technology on the market is still in the primary stage. In the future, we still need to explore the application of augmented reality technology in education.

Abstract:
Review question / Objective: The type of study was clinical randomized controlled trial (RCT). The object of study is the patients with HFMD. There is no limit to gender and race. In the case of clear diagnosis standard, curative effect judgment standard and consistent baseline treatment, the experimental group was treated with pure oral liquid of traditional Chinese medicine(A: Fuganlin oral liquid, B: huangzhihua oral liquid, C: Lanqin oral liquid, D: antiviral oral liquid, E: Huangqin oral liquid, F: Pudilan oral liquid, G: Shuanghuanglian oral liquid.)and the control group was treated with ribavirin or any oral liquid of traditional Chinese medicine. The data were extracted by two researchers independently, cross checked and reviewed according to the pre-determined tables. The data extraction content is (1) Basic information (including the first author, published journal and year, research topic). (2) Relevant information (including number of cases, total number of cases, gender, age, intervention measures, course of treatment of the experimental group and the control group in the literature). (3) Design type and quality evaluation information of the included literature. (4) Outcome measures (effective rate, healing time of oral ulcer, regression time of hand and foot rash, regression time of fever, adverse reactions.). The seven traditional Chinese medicine oral liquids are comparable in clinical practice, but their actual clinical efficacy is lack of evidence-based basis. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to use the network meta-analysis method to integrate the clinical relevant evidence of direct and indirect comparative relationship, to make quantitative comprehensive statistical analysis and sequencing of different oral liquid of traditional Chinese medicine with the same evidence body for the treatment of the disease, and then to explore the advantages and disadvantages of the efficacy and safety of different oral liquid of traditional Chinese medicine to get the best treatment plan, so as to provide reference value and evidence-based medicine evidence for clinical optimization of drug selection. Condition being studied: Hand foot mouth disease (HFMD) is a common infectious disease in pediatrics caused by a variety of enteroviruses. Its clinical manifestations are mainly characterized by persistent fever, hand foot rash, oral herpes, ulcers, etc. Because it is often found in preschool children, its immune system development is not perfect, so it is very vulnerable to infection by pathogens and epidemic diseases, resulting in rapid progress of the disease. A few patients will also have neurogenic pulmonary edema Meningitis, myocarditis and other serious complications even lead to death, so effectively improve the cure rate, shorten the course of disease, prevent the deterioration of the disease as the focus of the study. In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine has played an important role in the research of antiviral treatment. Many clinical practices have confirmed that oral liquid of traditional Chinese medicine can effectively play the role of antiviral and improve the body's immunity.

Preclinical Evidence of Acupuncture on infarction size of Myocardial ischemia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Animal Studies. INPLASY - International Platform of Registered Systematic Review and Meta-analysis Protocols, June 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.37766/inplasy2022.6.0044.

Full text
Abstract:
Review question / Objective: Whether acupuncture is effective for infarction size on myocardial ischemia rat models. Condition being studied: Myocardial ischemia is a typical pathological condition of coronary heart disease (CHD), which has been a global issue with high incidence and mortality. Myocardial infarction caused by myocardial ischemia leads to cardiac dysfunction, and the size of myocardial infarction also determines the recovery and prognosis of cardiac function. Acupuncture, a long history of traditional Chinese medicine, is widely used to treat symptoms like thoracalgia and palpitation. Many researches based on rat experiments have shown that acupuncture affects infarction size, cardiac function, myocardial enzyme or arrhythmias severity on myocardial ischemia models; nevertheless, few literatures have systematically reviewed these studies, assessing the risk of bias, quality of evidence, validity of results, and summarizing potential mechanisms. A systematic review of animal studies can benefit future experimental designs, promote the conduct and report of basic researches and provide some guidance to translate the achievements of basic researches to clinical application in acupuncture for myocardial ischemia. Therefore, we will conduct this systematic review and meta analysis to evaluate effects of acupuncture on infarction size on myocardial ischemia rat models.
