Abstract:
The city of Bandung and Subang are tourist attractions that offer a variety of entertainment, especially for family tourists in spending their vacation time. In supporting comfort and service so that tourists spend their time, it is necessary to support facilities ranging from hotels and restaurants that not only offer services for adult guests but also for children. The presence of children's guests is still often considered a minority by hoteliers. This can be seen from several hotels that have not considered the children's menu and facilities in the form of products or services that provide a sense of comfort and safety. This research is a descriptive quantitative study with a sample of hotels in Bandung and Subang where guests are family. The purpose of this study was to see how important the menu and facilities of children owned by hotel entrepreneurs in the City of Bandung and Subang. The results of this study indicate that hotel guest expectations regarding hotel services and facilities have an interval value of> 4.21, which means it is very important. Ratings with the highest scores are inclined to attributes of swimming pools and water parks, children's activities and play spaces as well as complete children's menus.

This paper aims to study the storytelling method for early childhood education in the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad r, where many stories are told by the Prophet which contain educational values. Prophet Muhammad as a great educator realizes that the storytelling method is very effective in instilling faith and character building in children's souls, because in the storytelling method there is an attraction that can touch the souls of listeners/students as if he lives in the story and become one of the actors. The story method in Islamic education has functions and tasks that are not found in other educational methods, it is very effective for attracting the children’s attention and stimulating their brains well, and the story in the Hadith Al-Shareef has features that impact on children's psychology and education which are very strong, clear, and long-term. Abstract:
Background In a hospital setting, pediatric patients miss out on routine stress coping mechanisms, such as normative play, socialization, and exploration. Previous work has established that a lack of healthy coping mechanisms negatively impacts the psychosocial development and well-being of hospitalized children. To help alleviate the stress of hospitalization, we created a novel, normative play robotics program that utilizes telepresence technology to give children live, virtual tours of museums and cultural attractions. Objective The objective was to 1) demonstrate feasibility, and 2) assess quality and impact on mood of telepresence tours as a new normative play intervention. Methods A prospective, cross-sectional study was conducted on inpatients at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center and the University of Maryland Children's Hospital from the ages of 3 to 19. Subjects were selected through convenience sampling by Child Life Specialists. The intervention consisted of a 30-minute session in which a volunteer: 1) remotely connected a laptop in the hospital room to a telepresence robot at the Maryland Science Center or the National Aquarium; 2) introduced the child to their venue tour guide and taught the child how to drive the robot, and 3) facilitated a tour in conjunction with the venue tour guide on site with the robot. Feasibility was assessed by the rate of completed tours. Quality of the experience and mood were evaluated with surveys answered with a 5 or 7-point Likert scale. Surveys were administered in 2 phases: phase 1 evaluated quality of the experience after the tour, and phase 2 included the phase 1 survey plus mood assessment before and after the tour. The two-tailed Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to determine statistical significance in difference in mood before and after the tour. Verbal consent was obtained from patient guardians and assent was obtained from the patient. Results 77 tours were conducted with pediatric inpatients, and no tours were terminated due to technical difficulty. Out of 77 children, 68 completed surveys. In phase 1 (n=40) participants’ average age was 7.8 years. On average, patients rated their overall experience a 4.8/5, ease of driving 4.1/5, ease of communicating with other guests at the venues a 4.3/5, and their tour guides a 4.7/5. In phase 2 (n=37), average age was 10.1 years. Children’s self-reported mood improved from pre-visit (3.7/5) to post visit (4.4/5) (P<.001). Additionally, patients rated their overall ease of driving 5.8/7, ease of communicating with other guests at the venues 5.3/7, and their tour guides 6.8/7. Conclusions Patients reported positive assessments of their overall experience, ease of driving, communication with tour guides and guests at the venues, and elevated mood after the tour. This study demonstrates that telepresence tours are a feasible and enjoyable intervention for hospitalized pediatric patients, and significantly improve mood. This unique program adds to existing child life specialist strategies by allowing children to engage in normative behaviors outside of the hospital. This novel use of telepresence robotics as a normative play intervention warrants future studies to further characterize the improvement in mood and impact on the patient’s overall hospital satisfaction.

Abstract:
Identifying social and psychological influences affecting children’s attitudes about physical activity is an important step in understanding individual differences in children’s activity involvement. This study examined the influence of parental socialization and children’s psychological characteristics upon attraction to physical activity. Fourth-grade children (N=81) completed questionnaires assessing perceived physical competence and attraction to physical activity. Parents also completed questionnaires assessing their physical activity orientations and level of encouragement of their child’s physical activity. A proposed model linking four sets of social and psychological variables was tested through path analysis. The results generally supported the hypothesized model and suggested that parental physical activity orientations, parental encouragement levels, children’s gender, and children’s perceived physical competence are important influences upon children’s attraction to physical activity.

Abstract:
Background:The Youth Physical Activity Promotion (YPAP) model provides an integrated approach to understanding the predisposing, enabling, and reinforcing factors influencing physical activity (PA) behavior. The purpose of this study was to evaluate an adapted version of the YPAP model for explaining PA among Portuguese schoolchildren. Methods:A random cross-sectional sample of 683 children (8–10 years of age) attending elementary public schools in the north of Portugal completed a detailed survey assessing attraction to PA, perceived physical competence, parental influences and leisure time PA. Structural equation modeling techniques were conducted (EQS6.1).Results:Attraction to PA was directly associated with children’s PA participation (β = 0.271, P < .05). Perceived physical competence imposed an indirect effect on children’s PA through children’s attraction to PA (β = 0.253, P < .05). Parental influence had an indirect effect on children’s PA through perceived physical competence and attraction to PA (β = 0.318 and 0.662, respectively, P < .05). Perceived physical competence and parental influence were not directly associated with children’s PA (β = 0.069 and 0.180, respectively, P > .05).Conclusions:The adapted version of YPAP model was useful in explaining PA participation in elementary Portuguese schoolchildren. Intervention programs intended to enhance attraction to PA, perceived physical competence and favorable parental influence should be developed to promote children’s PA participation.

Abstract:
In view of the differences and uniqueness of intelligence between people, the application of new educational thoughts is the need of the time; in the educational atmosphere created by the intelligent environment, it is urgent to seek a path of integration and symbiosis. This article takes the development of children's sports driven by the intelligent education project as the main research object, selects our city's children's football as the representative of sports events to carry out case studies, and uses the spectrum education program to explore the intelligent development of intelligent children with logical and mathematical advantages in the field of sports. This paper designs a data fusion method for homogeneous smart sensors. The correlation degree of the nodes in the continuous sampling period is obtained by defining the spatial correlation coefficient, and the confidence value and coherent degree of integration are obtained by applying the angle of attraction between nodes in the definition of fusion strategy in the evaluation of neighborhood, and lastly, the node coefficient of weight is reallocated to validate the fused expression. The feasibility of the simulation is used to confirm the trustworthiness of the solution. Based on the development status of children’s physical education, this article uses intelligent mobile networks to find out the problems in the physical education classes of kindergarten teachers and the problems that are not compatible with the development of children’s physical education. The kindergarten normal students receive targeted physical education and acquire solid professional skills. The study indicates that the percentage of basic motor and basic motility classes in the city's kindergartens is 100%, suggesting that all preschools in the city operate fundamental motor practice classes for a group of children. They have fully realized that basic movement exercises have an impact on children’s body shape.

Abstract:
Background: Health problems about children have been attracting much attention of parents and even the whole society all the time, among which, child-language development is a hot research topic. The experts and scholars have studied and found that the guardians taking appropriate intervention in children at the early stage can promote children’s language and cognitive ability development effectively, and carry out analysis of quantity. The intervention of Artificial Intelligence Technology has effect on the autistic spectrum disorders of children obviously. Objective and Methods: This paper presents a speech signal analysis system for children, with preprocessing of the speaker speech signal, subsequent calculation of the number in the speech of guardians and children, and some other characteristic parameters or indicators (e.g cognizable syllable number, the continuity of the language). Results: With these quantitative analysis tool and parameters, we can evaluate and analyze the quality of children’s language and cognitive ability objectively and quantitatively to provide the basis for decision-making criteria for parents. Thereby, they can adopt appropriate measures for children to promote the development of children's language and cognitive status. Conclusion: In this paper, according to the existing study of children’s language development, we put forward several indicators in the process of automatic measurement for language development which influence the formation of children’s language. From the experimental results we can see that after the pretreatment (including signal enhancement, speech activity detection), both divergence algorithm calculation results and the later words count are quite satisfactory compared with the actual situation.

Abstract:
The article describes the features of developing interactive programs for primary school students in the context of a literary museum and the successful experience of involving colleagues in this process. Speaking about such a form of museum work as a children's interactive lesson, the author draws attention to the specifics of both the preparation process and the conduct of the children's lesson itself. Working on such projects requires non-standard approaches, which are mostly not typical for classical museum studies. The very idea of a children's lesson arises from the desire of museum staff to tell about a particular topic in a language that is understandable and close to the children's audience. Every museum employee who has experience in conducting children's excursions knows that for young visitors, tactile sensations play an important role in cognition, as well as knowledge of the specifics of its functioning. Thus, an important task of the museum worker is to maintain a balance between attracting the children's audience and storing memorial exhibits.

The effect of the teacher on choice of activities of boys and girls in a German kindergarten is examined and her differential attraction for boys and girls is considered. The results indicate that the presence of the kindergarten teacher has a marked impact on boys' and girls' activity choices, thereby reducing the differences in boys' and girls' preferences for certain activities. The data also suggest that the teacher has a stronger attraction for girls than for boys. Possible influencing factors are discussed. The presence of the teacher is suggested to be a variable worth considering in kindergarten studies to give us further insights into children's behavior.

Abstract:
This study focused on the impact of religion and gender on young children's attitudes toward life and death. One hundred and forty-two boys and girls responded to a semi-projective test involving fairy tales in order to assess attraction and repulsion toward life and death. All the children displayed a pattern of high attraction to life, low attraction to death, low repulsion by life, and high repulsion by death. The religious children in contrast to the nonreligious children displayed a higher attraction to death. There were also differences in the types of rationales provided by the children for their attitudes. Four types of rationales emerged: interpersonal relationships, mental pain and enjoyment, physical pain and enjoyment, and self-actualization. Religious and nonreligious boys and girls differed with regard to the order of the rationales. There was also a main effect of gender and a gender x religiosity interaction. These results are discussed with respect to the religious and cultural impact on the formation of attitudes towards life and death.

Abstract:
Parallel analysis of children's literature on one hand, and the crime genre on the other, positing children's and serious construction of the world and ego, outlining homology of their narrative and reconstructing social construct that follows, assumes that light could be thrown at certain particularity that is a parasite on a host whom it would like to legitimate. Juxtaposition of the two worlds, or, often, the world whiten the world visualizes the image, an inward tension and perversion of the world for which the attraction of secret service with an aspiration to public action makes it particular. The established analogy directs the attention at two points that mark particularity of the world of secrets: the protocol of the concealment and secret action and to the motives for shifting, compounding and acquiring the identity that follows.

Abstract:
Children’s story books serve not only as a medium of verbal communication but also as that of non-verbal one. Messages conveyed through children’s story books will not be attracting to children if not accompanied by their non-verbal forms, such as pictures and symbols. Therefore every story book should be able to influence the child psychologically through pictures or symbols. This in turn affects the process of translating children’s storybook texts, including in determining translation techniques. This study examines the technique of translating Balinese children’s story books from English into Indonesian. This study was conducted with a qualitative research design. The results of the study show that the translation of Balinese children’s textbooks is mostly done literally using simple language. The writing children’s story books emphasizes the presentation of non-verbal forms of communication to foster and maintain their interest in reading. The writing and translation of children’s story texts is based on consideration of their psychological aspects so that the translator avoids the use of complicated words.

Abstract:
This study examined the utility of a model to explain parental influence on children’s physical activity. Children (n = 994) from 3 elementary schools completed a survey with scales assessing physical activity, attraction to activity, perceived competence, and perceived parental influence. Self-report data on the physical activity levels of parents (n = 536) were also obtained to test the hypothesis that active parents may provide more encouragement and support for their children. The parental influence scales accounted for 20%, 26%, and 28% of the variance in physical activity, attraction to physical activity, and perceptions of competence, respectively. Correlations between parent and child levels of activity were low, but children of active parents had higher scores on the parental influence measures and psychosocial correlates than inactive parents. This study provides further confirmation of the important influence that parents exert on their child’s physical activity behavior.

This article reports on the findings from a nationwide survey designed to investigate the perceptions of public library directors with regard to storytime programs. The results indicate that public library directors identify a number of reasons why storytime is important; prime among those are for encouraging children’s enjoyment of books, promoting children’s early literacy skills, and attracting patrons who might otherwise not participate in library services. The findings suggest that public library directors do not fully recognize how storytime programs might contribute to school readiness. Further, differences in library inputs to support storytime point to disparities based on library size. The implications for practice, education, and research are discussed.

Abstract:
Parental involvement in marriage matchmaking may distort the optimal spouse choice because parents are willing to substitute love for money. The rationale is that the joint income of married children can be shared among extended family members more easily than mutual attraction felt by the couple themselves, and as a result, the best spouse candidate in the parents' eyes can differ from what is optimal to the individual, even though parents are altruistic and care dearly about their children's welfare. We find supporting evidence for this prediction using a unique sample of urban couples in China in the early 1990s.

Abstract:
In 1986, Weiss reported the measurement of the attitudes of 577 children of elementary school age toward mental illness and mentally ill persons relative to other stigmatized groups on a projective measure of social distance. It was concluded that attitudes toward deviant groups were evidenced by Kindergarten and did not change appreciably with increasing age or grade. Eight years later, 35 of the previously examined 65 Kindergarten students were still enrolled in the district. Parental permission to repeat the evaluation was received for 34 of those students. The results of this longitudinal research were remarkably similar to the results in the original cross-sectional research, again leading to the conclusion that attitudes toward the mentally ill become quite stable and enduring by the time a child enters Kindergarten. Only one stigmatized group, mentally retarded persons, significantly changed in terms of social distance and interpersonal attraction toward being more acceptable.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to determine whether perceptions of value of a youth sport event were predicted by a spectator’s sport identity, their connection to an athlete, and how their assessment of the event’s uniqueness affects these relationships. Data were collected from spectators (N=714) at the 2013 International Children’s Games using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results provided support for an indirect only mediated model, such that spectators who highly identified with being a sports fan perceived the event as being valuable when they also viewed the event as unique. Having a personal connection to an athlete did not predict perceptions of uniqueness or value. Thus, purposefully selecting and designing unique events and promoting the unique attributes of the event could increase an event’s appeal to spectators who highly identify with the sport.

Abstract:
Today, there are many electronic devices that can replace the things we are used to. Todays children and adolescents spend more and more time learning new means of communication and searching for information, which is why traditional means (books, communication, experience) take a back seat and eventually become less important for overall development. While studying in primary school, it is easier for children to work with Internet sources because of the simplicity and conciseness of information that is in General use. Reading material from a book is replaced by gadgets. The very concept of reading has acquired a different meaning, has ceased to be a part of culture. Many parents and teachers face this problem when trying to teach their children to read literature. The purpose of this project is to find an alternative way to attract children to literary works through the object of project activity-table theater for children.

Abstract:
Understanding physical activity (PA) correlates in youth is challenging due to the inherent changes in activity patterns, activity preferences, and social norms that occur during the normal developmental transition from childhood into adolescence. This study examines possible age-related differences in physical activity correlates using the Children’s Physical Activity Correlates Scale (CPAC). The Children’s Physical Activity Questionnaire (PAQ) was used to measure typical levels of PA. Results indicate high school youth had lower levels of PA and lower levels on the psychosocial correlates than middle school youth. Parental influence accounted for ~ 15% of the variance in PA while the predisposing factors (perceived competence, attraction to PA) accounted for 20% and 17% of the variance for middle and high school students, respectively. CPAC has similar predictive validity across the age range. The CPAC scale offers potential to help understand factors that influence physical activity behavior during the transition from childhood into adolescence.

Abstract:
The decrease in children’s interest in reading is a global and national problem, which causes noticeable social risks in the children personal development and their further social integration. The paper considers popularization of books and formation of reading culture as important tasks of contemporary library-information activities. The authors emphasize that modern library visitors prefer electronic sources of information that actualizes the development and use of electronic information products in the practice of library services for children and youth. The purpose of the article is to determine the possibilities of using multimedia library products in attracting children to reading. The paper presents the results of the analysis of publication activity in 2014—2018 devoted to the attracting children to reading, including the use of multimedia. The authors draw attention to 33 publications, reflecting various aspects of reading promotion in children’s audience, as well as reveal the tendency of decrease in publication activity on this subject. The sociological survey of 150 children of primary school age allowed to determine their basic reading preferences and confirmed the importance of reading in the life of modern children. The paper notes that the results of study of reading interests of younger schoolchildren should be taken into account in the implementation of different forms of library work with users and should be used in the creation of information products aimed at popularization of books. The authors explain the relevance of using interactive multimedia products to attract children to reading: preference to children playing activities, combination of multimedia multiple information types and available interactivity. The paper considers the types of multimedia library products, approbated in the course of activities to attract children to reading, analyses their opportunities in involving children in reading and reveals their advantages and features. The authors characterize different types of interactive activities, give the examples of their use, as well as describe multimedia product abilities in attracting children to reading, their advantages and disadvantages. The paper concludes that the use of interactive multimedia products contributes to attract children to reading and can serve as a supplement to traditional library activities, as well can be used independently.

A highly competent teacher workforce is a necessary foundation for improving children’s educational outcomes, especially for those who rely most on schools for their success. Yet in the United States, shortages in the teaching force have been growing across the country, reaching crisis proportions in some teaching fields— such as mathematics, science, and special education—and in locations where wages and working conditions are least attractive. We analyzed recent research and representative survey data to identify the drivers of teacher recruitment and retention. We also reviewed the policy literature to identify district, state, and federal policy strategies that have been effective at addressing the factors influencing teachers’ professional decisions. These policies include increasing their compensation and improving their preparation, professional support, and working conditions, as well as improving district and school management practices that otherwise create obstacles to recruitment and retention.

Abstract This article presents an original interpretation of Henrik Ibsen’s work When We Dead Awaken by advancing a hypothesis which explains Rubek and Irene’s path into death as an act of atonement. The analysis encompasses reflections on the meaning of terms such as love, life, art and guilt in the context of the work. The article emphasises the importance of children’s education, which proves itself to be the only effective way to contribute to mankind’s refinement – something very important in the main character’s view. In its last part the article seeks causes of the altered behaviour of the main characters immediately before their deaths (especially their feeling of attraction to death).

Abstract:
In Serbia there are many traditional events based on tradition, folklore, old customs and traditional crafts and trades. Folklore events are the oldest elements in the development of tourism and provide a sufficient motive for tourist visits. On the basis of their program content, these events can be divided into folklore and folk music festivals, festivals of folk customs, and children’s folklore festivals. This paper offers a categorization of folklore events according to economic and geographic criteria; particular attention has been given to events that already are, or have great potential for becoming, a major attraction of the tourist destination in question and can thus contribute to a faster and higher-quality development of tourism.
