Este trabalho tem por objetivo investigar a tradução de metáforas realizada no processo de legendação do filme de animação intitulado: A viagem de Chihiro, do diretor japonês Hayao Miyazaki. Para fazê-lo, será considerado o suporte teórico descritivista de van den Broeck (1981), complementado pela proposta de Toury (1995), descrevendo as opções existentes, a fim de analisar as escolhas feitas pelo tradutor/legendador para a tradução das metáforas selecionadas, levando-se em consideração as dificuldades de se lidar com a tradução destas sob a ótica linguística, bem como sob a perspectiva de culturalidade intrínseca de cada idioma. Nesta investigação levanta-se a suposição de que a parcela imagética está em consonância com o texto oral e escrito, e que neste espaço de diálogo entre as expressões semióticas imbricadas delineiam-se algumas das ações do tradutor a serem aqui investigadas e discutidas. Observaremos, particularmente, a questão da tradução interlinguística de metáforas, a saber: japonês/português, sob a influência dos aspectos culturais e interculturais, bem como sua circunscrição no âmbito das perspectivas técnicas da legendação.
This present work aims to discuss the translation of metaphors used in the process of creating subtitles for the animation movie entitled: "A Viagem de Chihiro", from the japanese director Hayao Miyazaki. While so doing, van den Broeck's (1981) descriptive theory support will be considered, complemented by Toury's (1995) proposition, describing the existing options in order to analyse the choices made by the translator/subtitler in the translations of the selected metaphors, taking into consideration the difficulties of dealing with said translations under a linguistic viewpoint as well as under the intrinsic culturality of each language. In this analysis a supposition is made that the imagery portion is in consonance with text, spoke and written, and that in this space of dialog between semiotic expressions some of the translator's actions here analysed and discussed take shape. We shall observe, specifically, the issue of interlinguistic translation of metaphors, i.e. Japanese/Portuguese, under the influence of cultural and intercultural aspects, in addition to their circumscription to the realm of subtitling techniques perspective.

O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar e analisar o percurso narrativo no qual o diretor japonês Hayao Miyazaki apresenta a evolução de sua personagem principal, a menina Chihiro, no longa-metragem de animação A Viagem de Chihiro (2001). Este percurso apresenta-se em duas ambientações, os mundos primário e secundário, aqui chamados de mundo-aqui e outro-mundo. Serão historiados os filmes de Miyazaki produzidos no Studio Ghibli, com protagonistas femininas, e, especialmente, seus traços que remetem ao maravilhoso e ao fantástico, partindo-se previamente das definições destes termos dadas pelo crítico Tzvetan Todorov, seguidas por outras visões neste campo nos trabalhos das teóricas Irène Bessière e Maria Nikolajeva. Tendo essas definições em mente, será analisada a inserção do modo fantástico e das modalidades de interpretação nos filmes selecionados de maneira a presentar o trajeto do diretor rumo ao fantástico que resultou no longa-metragem A viagem de Chihiro. Para examinar o filme escolhido, utilizar-se-á um processo indutivo de análise do longa-metragem de animação sequência a sequência, tendo como ferramentas de análise principais os estudos sobre funções e esferas de ação desenvolvidas pelo folclorista russo Vladímir Propp na década de 1920, na obra Morfologia do conto maravilhoso. O acompanhamento do processo de maturação da heroína será observado através da evolução de algumas funções de Propp e da sua relação com outros personagens, pertencentes a outras esferas de ação proppianas. As sequências da animação, objetos desta observação, serão comparadas com o conceito de rito de passagem do antropólogo Arnold Van Geenep. Paralelamente, serão estudadas as fontes religiosas, mitológicas e folclóricas japonesas nas quais o diretor Hayao Miyazaki inspirou-se, por meio dos trabalhos das antropólogas Gergana Petkova, Birgit Staemmler e Carmen Blacker, da crítica literária Noriko Reider e do psicólogo Hayao Kaway. Espera-se, assim, observar as múltiplas leituras que se podem extrair da narrativa de A Viagem de Chihiro sem a necessidade de se ater a uma distinção reducionista de realidade ou fantasia, aproveitando as modalidades narrativas miméticas e simbólicas como os fatores que propiciam a movimentação entre as interpretações da obra, vendo seus aspectos paralelos de narrativa maravilhosa e fantástica.
This study aims at presenting and analyzing the narrative course by which Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki portrays the personal evolution of his main character – the girl Chihiro – in feature-length animation movie Spirited Away (2001). This course is presented in two environments: the primary and the secondary worlds, namely the here-world and the another-world. Miyazaki’s movies produced in Studio Ghibli – featuring females as main characters and, specially, containing marvelous and fantastic situations – will be described taking into account previously given definitions brought by critic Tzvetan Todorov, as well as other points of view on the subject as presented by theorists Irène Bessière and Maria Nikolajeva. Having these definitions in mind, the insertion of fantastic narrative and of interpretative modalities will be analyzed within the selected movies, in order to track the director’s path en route to the fantastic that ultimately resulted in the feature movie Spirited Away. In order to scanning the movie, a sequence by sequence inductive analysis process of the feature animation will take place, using the analysis tools described in Morphology of the Folktale – written in the 1920’s by Russian folklorist Vladímir Propp – about functions and spheres of action. The monitoring of the heroine maturation process will be observed through the evolution of some functions – described by Propp – and her relationship with other characters – which belongs to other Propp’s spheres of action. The sequences of the animation, subjected to observation, will be compared as per the concept of rite of passage given by anthropologist Arnold Van Geenep. At the same time, Japanese religious, mythological, and folk resources that inspired director Hayao Miyazaki will be studied, through the works of anthropologists Gervana Petkova, Birgit Staemmler, and Carmen Blacker; literary critic Noriko Reider; and psychologist Hayao Kaway. By doing so, it is expected to provide an overview of the multiple understandings that can be conveyed by the narrative of Spirited Away, without the need to be attached to a reductionist distinction of reality or fantasy – by taking advantage of mimetic and symbolic narrative modalities as transition points between the various interpretations of the movie, and considering the parallel aspects of marvelous and fantastic narratives.

La presente tesis tuvo como propósito identificar las características morfológicas del cuento de hadas propuesto por Vladimir Propp (1928), El viaje de Chihiro (2001) de Hayao Miyazaki y La tumba de las luciérnagas de Isao Takahata (1988), ambas pertenecientes al Studio Ghibli, siendo las más representativas para los autores y del estudio de animación. Tuvo un enfoque cualitativo-descriptivo. Se analizaron, bajo las categorías, situaciones y personajes. Los resultados muestran que ambos filmes comparten las mismas categorías expuestas en la teoría. Pero, existen diferencias en cantidad y secuencia en la categoría Sucesiones y en categoría Personajes, el antagonista y el héroe se encuentran en constante evidencia a lo largo de todo el filme. Concluyendo, que los dos productos audiovisuales se basan en la morfología de los cuentos de hadas propuesta por Vladimir Propp, manteniendo una estructura similar y dinámica; incluso cuando la visión de los autores pueda ser opuesta. Resaltando que el protagonista resuelve sus propios conflictos u obstáculos sin la necesidad que un tercero intervenga directamente. Se recomienda investigar la morfología, elementos o características de otros filmes sobre cuentos de hadas, desarrollados dentro del Estudio Ghibli, que no han tenido similar reconocimiento a nivel mundial.
The present thesis had the purpose of identifying the morphological characteristics of the fairy tale proposed by Vladimir Propp (1928), The Journey of Chihiro (2001) by Hayao Miyazaki and The Tomb of the Fireflies by Isao Takahata (1988), both belonging to the Studio Ghibli, being the most representative for the authors and the animation studio. It had a qualitative-descriptive approach. They were analyzed, under the categories, situations and characters. The results show that both films share the same categories exposed in the theory. But there are differences in quantity and sequence in the category Successions and in the category Characters, the antagonist and the hero are in constant evidence throughout the film. In conclusion, the two audiovisual products are based on the morphology of fairy tales proposed by Vladimir Propp, maintaining a similar and dynamic structure; even though the vision of the authors may be opposite. It should be noted that the protagonist resolves his own conflicts or obstacles without the need for a third party to intervene directly. It is recommended to investigate the morphology, elements, or characteristics of other fairy tale films, developed within Studio Ghibli, which have not had similar recognition worldwide.

Abstract:
My thesis aims to map the art historical, religious and cultural influences in Chiho Aoshima’s work, particularly in her 2015 solo show Rebirth of the World at Seattle Asian Art Museum. I will start with an outline of the artist’s overall oeuvre, focusing specifically on her aesthetic development. This will set up an introduction of the main elements I see in her work (Shinto beliefs, yōkai/ukiyo-e aesthetic references, and references to A Cyborg Manifesto). The thesis will essentially be a case study of Rebirth of the World, using specific mediums as evidence for the presence of these influences in her work. My thesis is essentially Chiho Aoshima’s work is a seamless blend of the history and culture of Japan, while still grounding her practice in critical, contemporary theories of subversion. Her work is a gripping nod to the past but it is very much contemporary and critical, and it is easy to overlook all the threads woven into the fabric of her oeuvre.

This thesis attempts to explain the concept of Jihad-i-Akbar (struggle against the self or soul) through an analysis of the mystical thought and activities of the great religious scholar Âyatullàh Rühullâh Khomeini (1902-1990). He was a comprehensive religious scholar who was in addition a political leader and a well-known mystic. This study also analyzes, through a study of Âyatullàh Khomeini's Chihil Hadith (forty traditions), the relationship between 'irfan (mysticism) and social activities and shows how he was able to combine several dimensions of Islam in his public and private life.
Cette thèse vise à une explication du concept de Jihad-i-Akbar (lutte contre le soi ou son âme) en analysant la pensée mystique ainsi que la vie du grand érudit religieux Âyatullàh Rühullàh Khomeini (1902-1990). En plus d'avoir une connaissance profonde des sciences religieuses islamiques, il était aussi un figure politique et un mystique bien connu. The white-faced ibis, Plegadis chihi (Vieillot, 1817) (Pelecaniformes, Threskiornithidae) is a migratory waterbird that breeds in colonies in the southern of Brazil. In point of view of genetics, this species was not studied. In this study we genetically characterized two populations from Rio Grande do Sul, and we classified nestlings sampled inside the same nests in one category of relatedness (full-siblings, half-siblings or unrelated). We extracted DNA from 247 nestlings (either from growing feathers or muscle tissue) and amplified it by PCR. We screened 44 microsatellite heterologous loci developed for species belonging to: Threskiornithidae, Ciconiidae and Ardeidae families. Individuals were genotyped at successfully amplified loci, and six loci proved to be polymorphic. The number of alleles per locus ranged from two (NnNF5) to 10 (Aaju3), and average expected and observed heterozygosities were 0.572 and 0.552, respectively. NnNF5 and Eru6 were excluded from the analysis of genetic structure since they are in linkage disequilibrium with Eru5 and Eru4, respectively. The AMOVA analysis showed that most of the genetic diversity is distributed within populations, and not between populations. The FST value, although small, was significant (0.009, p = 0.05), indicating that there is low differentiation between colonies studied. The results suggest that populations are structured and that little gene flow occurs between them. The ratio between males and females in our samples was not different from the expected 1:1. One hundred and six pairs of nestlings taken from the same nests, using Aaju3, Eru2, Eru4, Eru5 e Eru6 loci, were inspected for relatedness. Our analytical procedure allowed us to identify the kinship of 55% of the pairs. Among the classified pairs of nestlings we found: 62% of fullsiblings, 5% of half-siblings and 33% of unrelated nestlings. Relatedness categories found between pairs of nestlings are showing that genetic monogamy is not the only mating system, but extra-pair fertilization and brood parasitism can be occurring.
O tapicuru, Plegadis chihi (Vieillot, 1817) (Pelecaniformes, Threskiornithidae) é uma ave aquática migratória que se reproduz em colônias no sul do Brasil. Essa espécie tem sido pouco estudada do ponto de vista genético. Nesse trabalho, nós caracterizamos geneticamente duas populações do Rio Grande do Sul e classificamos filhotes coletados no mesmo ninho em uma categoria de parentesco (irmão-completos, meio-irmãos ou não-relacionados). O DNA foi extraído a partir de penas em crescimento e tecidos musculares de amostras de 247 ninhegos e amplificado via PCR. Foram testados 44 locos de microssatélites desenvolvidos para espécies pertencentes a três famílias de aves: Threskiornithidae, Ciconiidae e Ardeidae. Os locos que amplificaram após as reações de PCR foram genotipados e seis deles se apresentaram polimórficos. O número de alelos variou de dois (NnNF5) a 10 (Aaju3) e a heterozigosidade média esperada e observada foram 0,572 e 0,552, respectivamente. Os locos NnNF5 e Eru6 foram excluídos das análises de estruturação genética por se apresentarem em desequilíbrio de ligação com os locos Eru5 e Eru4, respectivamente. A análise de AMOVA mostrou que a maior parte da diversidade está presente dentro das populações e não entre elas. O Fst foi pequeno, mas significativo (0,009, p = 0,05), mostrando uma baixa diferenciação genética entre as duas colônias. Os resultados sugerem que as populações estão pouco estruturadas e que ocorre fluxo gênico entre elas. A sexagem molecular não detectou desvio da razão observada entre machos e fêmeas em relação à razão esperada (1:1). O grau de parentesco foi determinado para 106 pares de ninhegos retirados do mesmo ninho, com os dados dos locos Aaju3, Eru2, Eru4, Eru5 e Eru6, sendo possível a classificação de 55% dos pares numa categoria de parentesco. Dentre os pares de ninhegos que foram classificados: 62% são irmãos-completos, 5% meio-irmãos e 33% não-relacionados. Esses padrões de parentesco evidenciam que o sistema de acasalamento não é apenas monogâmico, mas que também pode estar ocorrendo fertilização extra-par e parasitismo de ninho, em menor escala.

Abstract:
El área Villarrica-Chihuio situada entre las coordenadas 40°15’ y 39°15’ de latitud sur y los 72°10’ y 71°40’ de la longitud oeste, en las regiones de La Araucanía y de Los Ríos, tiene el ~6% de las fuentes termales en Chile. En este sector existe una estrecha relación espacial entre la distribución de los volcanes activos de la Zona Volcánica Sur y la Zona de Falla Liquiñe-Ofqui (ZFLO), los cuales determinan los principales controles de los sistemas geotermales en el área, la fuente de calor y la permeabilidad. El objetivo del trabajo es establecer el origen de las aguas termales e identificar el rol de las distintas fuentes de calor, mediante una caracterización geoquímica de las aguas termales y una caracterización estructural de las áreas de surgencia de las fuentes termales. Se seleccionaron once áreas termales y en función sus características se definieron dos dominios geotérmicos, a) Dominio Volcánico, asociado espacialmente al volcanismo reciente y b) Dominio Estructural, espacialmente asociado a la ZFLO. La caracterización estructural de las áreas termales, consistió en el mapeo y análisis de rasgos lineales superficiales –lineamientos-, mediante la utilización de imágenes satelitales y modelos digitales de elevación. Se calculó el parámetro Densidad de Fracturas y Fallas (DFF) a partir de la densidad de lineamientos y se obtuvo una correlación entre zonas con alta DFF y la existencia de fuentes termales. El análisis de orientación de lineamientos muestra una compatibilidad entre estos y el estado de estrés neógeno. Estos rasgos tectónicos controlarían la ubicación de las fuentes termales, la recarga y las direcciones de flujo en los sistemas geotérmicos. La caracterización geoquímica reveló que todas las aguas analizadas son sulfatadas-sódicas-(bicarbonatadas), con bajo contenido de sólidos disueltos y de cloro. El rango de temperatura superficial en el Dominio Estructural corresponde a 37-82°C, mientras que para el pH el rango es 8,9-9,7. En el Dominio Volcánico se tienen valores de temperatura entre 36°C y 70°C y de pH entre 7,8 y 8,7. Las aguas analizadas de ambos dominios corresponden a vapor calentadas. El rango de temperatura de reservorio en el Dominio Volcánico es de 125-150°C y en el Dominio Estructural es de 100-120°C. Los análisis de isótopos estables (D-18O) revelan que las aguas de ambos dominios tienen un origen puramente meteórico y no se ha producido intercambio isotópico de suficiente magnitud para ser apreciado en los diagramas isotópicos. Se presenta un modelo conceptual de los sistemas geotérmicos. El Dominio Volcánico tiene las características de un sistema geotérmico asociado fuente magmática, desde donde emergen aguas vapor calentadas. Las fuentes termales del Dominio Estructural serían el resultado de la circulación profunda (2-3 km) de aguas meteóricas en zonas de fracturas y fallas asociadas a la ZFLO y de alto flujo de calor. La química de las aguas termales de este dominio se explicaría por la interacción de los fluidos termales con rocas cristalinas. Los antecedentes proporcionados en este estudio indican que es posible el aprovechamiento del recurso geotérmico tanto para fines eléctricos como para usos directos.

Cette thèse regroupe plusieurs travaux de combinatoire énumérative sur les permutations et permutations d'ensemble. Elle comporte 4 parties.Dans la première partie, nous répondons aux conjectures de Steingrimsson sur les partitions ordonnées d'ensemble. Plus précisément, nous montrons que les statistiques de Steingrimsson sur les partitions ordonnées d'ensemble ont la distribution euler-mahonienne. Dans la deuxième partie, nous introduisons et étudions une nouvelle classe de statistiques sur les mots : les statistiques "maj-inv". Ces dernières sont des interpolations graphiques des célèbres statistiques "indice majeur" et "nombre d'inversions". Dans la troisième partie, nous montrons que la distribution conjointe des statistiques"nombre de croisements" et "nombre d'imbrications" sur les partitions d'ensemble est symétrique. Nous étendrons aussi ce dernier résultat dans le cadre beaucoup plus large des 01-remplissages de "polyominoes lunaires".La quatrième et dernière partie est consacrée à l'étude combinatoire des q-polynômes de Laguerre d'Al-Salam-Chihara. Nous donnerons une interprétation combinatoire de la suite de moments et des coefficients de linéarisations de ces polynômes.

Considered under the theme 'The Floating World', the aim of this research project was to create a written exegesis and a series of artworks, primarily in the form of digital animation and illustration, which investigate decorative and illustrative art practices and their historical lineages. Particular emphasis was given to investigating the links between contemporary decorative/illustrative art practice and the aesthetics and psychology of the Edo period in Japan (C17th - C19th), in which the term 'The Floating World' was used to describe the city of Edo (old Tokyo). The writing concerned with The Floating World is comprised of the following chapters: history; concepts; aesthetics; contemporary adaptations of Ukiyo-e; and gothic romance and associated genres. The outcomes of my Masters program represent a sustained exploration of decorative and illustrative art practice and theory, and incorporate experimentation with associated genres such as magic realism, gothic romance, the uncanny, iconography, surrealism and other metaphorical and abstract representational practices. More broadly, my Masters project is an investigation, both theoretical and practical, into the way drawing and illustration have been a process through which to (literally) give shape to hopes and fears, and to describe understandings of self and the world. I am particularly interested in exploring how, through the act of abstraction and the use of metaphor and decoration, a capacity to 'speak the unspeakable' and 'know the unknowable' are somehow enabled. For example, when contemporary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami decorates Edo-inspired screens with a colourful arrangement of morphing cartoon mushrooms, he conjures up a startling and complex poetic space that juxtaposes traditional Japanese aesthetics and philosophy with the hyper-consumerist characters and ethos of Disneyland, as well as disquieting references to the mushroom bombs that dropped down on Hiroshima and Nagasaki from US planes. A similarly complex space is enacted by contemporary US artist Inka Essenhigh: her oversized canvases seem like sublime Japanese-inspired screens but a closer inspection reveals that the decorative motifs are actually dismembered body parts morphed together to create a savage and compelling metaphor for contemporary America that is all the more disarming for being perf ormed in a seemingly innocuous illustrative style. My research will draw on these examples but will endeavour to create a series of artworks that are particular to an Australian context. This interests me particularly in a time when, as a nation, we appear to be confounded about what it means to be Australian: as a contemporary artist I am interested in how we represent ourselves as a nation, and in exploring the motifs and attributes that we consider to be ours.

Comment le geste créateur se trouve-t-il activé, transformé par la maladie ? Le travail plastique articulé à l’écriture, tente de vérifier l’hypothèse suivante : c’est à travers le processus de fragmentation (Heinz Kohut), de rassemblement (Anne-Sophie Le Poder) et de réparation (Jeanine Chasseguet-Smirgel) que le corps, devenu créateur, se dépasse tout en reprenant chair, devient autre, traversé par ses propres peurs et douleurs, réparé ou reconstruit par leur passage. La première partie (fragmentation), qui interroge la notion d’espace, analyse des œuvres de Louise Bourgeois et Yayoï Kusama. La fragmentation du corps et sa représentation permettent-elles de figurer la manière dont l’expérience de la maladie s’incarne, s’incorpore dans la création, sans pour autant l’illustrer ? La seconde partie explore le rassemblement comme geste de conciliation avec le corps. The research in Arts suggests questioning and clarifying the process from the illness experience to creation. How is the creative gesture activated, transformed by the illness? The plastic work associated with the writing tries to verify the following hypothesis: it’s through the process of fragmentation (Heinz Kohut), of gathering (Anne-Sophie Le Poder) and mending (Jeanine Chasseguet-Smirgel) that the body, now a creator, surpasses itself while resuming flesh, turns itself into something different, through its own fear and pain, repaired or reconstructed by their passage. The first part (fragmentation), whith the notion of space, analyses Louise Bourgeois and Yayoï Kusama’s works. Does the fragmentation of the body represent the way the experience of the illness is embodied, incorporated into creation, without illustrating it? The second part explores gathering as a gesture of conciliation with the body. In Mona Hatoum, Chiharu Shiota, or Niki de Saint Phalle’s works, how does this gesture become a blood which welds (Agamben), while making us looking at a hole in time? In the third part (Repair), the reflection goes on with Rebecca Horn and Berlinde de Bruyckere ‘s works, and the choreographic play "Körper" by Sasha Waltz. Questions related to the illness and creative body will be linked to memory and otherness. In the peculiarity of their plasticity, materials become places to rewrite the body in its experience of pain, without representing it

In the development of Japanese picture books, especially in the 50 years (1945-1995) after World WarⅡ, there is a breakthrough change. During this period, Chihiro Iwasaki (1918-1974), a representative female post-war picture book author who has experienced the war, uses concise text, soft drawings, and blank-leaving to poeticize deeper meanings. In this research, we try to find out how she performs her contradictions and inner conflicts in the picture books, and explore the implied meanings which she wants to represent to readers behind the works. The research discusses Chihiro Iwasaki's life experiences and how she describes children as topics as a start. Chapter 1 "Order Theory" noted Chihiro Iwasaki's position in history according to previous research. Chapter 2 "The Development of Japan's Post-war Picture Books" consists of the development of Japanese picture books after World WarⅡ, and the original intention of her works. In Chapter 3, it describes Chihiro Iwasaki’s six "feeling of picture books" including interpretation and analysis; also figures out the theme of "growth"in her works. In Chapter 4, by using Chapter 3 as a base to discuss "Chihiro Iwasaki's concepts of drawing", and also put "Senka No Naka No Kodomo Tachi" which was published in the same period into the discussion. Moreover, to analyze and discover the meaning of blank-leaving which was used in lots of her pictures. The final chapter recalls Chihiro Iwasaki's work and proposes future issues. In this research, not only new understandings are expounded to readers, but discover other meanings of blank-leaving in Chihiro Iwasaki's works, which enhances and rebuilt the imaginations of readers.

O presente estudo visa aceder e compreender o mundo interno do sujeito aquando de um visionamento de um filme, sob uma perspectiva psicanalítica. Entendase este como um sujeito dinâmico, que contém o conhecimento de si próprio em si próprio, disponível e possível a ser acedido por um outro. Acede-se a este conhecimento através da dinâmica da entrevista que desencadeia o emergir da subjectividade do sujeito, uma vez que o entrevistador tem um papel neutro. Para este efeito utilizou-se o método qualitativo FANI (Entrevistas Narrativas de Associação Livre), realizando-se uma entrevista a cada sujeito acerca do filme “A Viagem de Chihiro”, que o haviam visionado anteriormente. Os participantes fazem parte de uma família - duas gerações - mãe, filho e filha, podendo assim analisar-se também a transmissão psíquica que ocorre da mãe para os seus dois filhos. Neste sentido observa-se tanto o que emerge em cada sujeito como aquilo que é transmitido geracionalmente, elaborando-se um especial enfoque na prática do método utilizado. Deste modo é possível aceder a conteúdos internos de cada sujeito em específico, quer a modos de funcionamento, no caso da mãe, quer a fases de vida em que o participante se encontra, no caso do filho, bem como a mecanismos de defesa que impedem o sujeito de sair de um determinado ponto da sua vida, no caso da filha. Sendo assim, torna-se interessante observar e analisar aquilo que o próprio sujeito traz ao estudo, invés de um tema pré-escolhido pelo investigador. O participante torna-se assim o próprio estudo.
ABSTRACT: The present study aims for a knowledge and understanding of the internal world of the subject under projective movements when exposed to a movie, in psychoanalytic perspective. This subject is understood as both projective and dynamic, including the knowledge of himself at himself, free and available to access by another (interviewer). The access to this kind of knowledge happens through the dynamics in the interview that triggers the emergence of the subjectivity of the subject, as the interviewer has a neutral perspective. For this purpose we used the qualitative method FANI (Free Association Narrative Interviews), carrying out an interview with each subject about the film "Spirited Away", which they had previously envisioned. The participants are part of a family - two generations - relating as mother, son and daughter, and thus it is also possible to look up the psychic transmission that occurs from the mother to their two children. In this regard it is noted both what emerges in each subject and what is transmitted generationally, with a special focus on the practice of the method used. Therefore it is possible to access internal content, whether to operating modes, in the mother, whether phases of life where participants are, case of the son, whether to defense mechanisms that the subject uses hindering the overcome of a lifetime situation, in the daughter. Thus, it is interesting to observe and analyze what the subject itself brings to the study, rather than a pre-selected view point from the investigator. The participant becomes the study itself.

Abstract Wang Hsi-Chih (303-361), calligrapher from the Eastern Jin Dynasty, is known as “Sage Calligrapher” because of his unprecedented achievement in the art of writing. His works, in regular, running, and cursive scripts, are all highly valued. Renowned masterpieces include, in small regular script, (樂毅論), (黃庭經) ; in running script, < Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion> (蘭亭序 Lan-Ting Xu) and (聖教序 Sheng-Jiao Xu); and in cursive script, , (遠宦帖), (初月帖). His cursive script is especially difficult to understand as it involves the very complex question about its authenticity, and it is made even more complicated when the explications themselves tend to be inaccessible or incomprehensible. Therefore, not much academic studies have been done on his cursive style. This thesis focuses on the Book of Chun-Hua Attic (hereafter referred to as the Attic) dated back the third century. Carved in 992 during the reign of Sung Tai-Zong, the Attic is the earliest series of calligraphy book being carved. There is a long lapse of 631 years between the years when the Attic was actually written and when it was carved. During the past more than one thousand years, the love and appreciation of various emperors have made it possible for part of the “ink traces(墨跡)” and rubbings (拓本) to be preserved; and the Attic has been critical in the development of the research methodology in Chinese calligraphy. A historical review shows that before the carving of the Attic, related studies focus more on “ink traces”, and afterwards, on the problems related to “rubbings.” In Volume 6, 7 and 8 of the Attic, the sources have been rather complicated because they include authentic works by Wang Hsi-Chih, imitations, copies, observations, and collections of rubbings of individual characters. In the process of carving, the artistic value could be lost; therefore, many rubbings of the works of Wang Hsi-Chih are considered “imperfect,” and thus tarnish his name as “Sage Calligraphy.” In this thesis, I would argue that taking in fake works, which seems rather common, is the main reason why questions concerning authenticity of the Attic become so problematic. Moreover, with the long lapse of time, it becomes even more difficult to distinguish the authentic works from the fake. I will probe into the question from the perspective of a calligrapher by separating the text and characters, clarifying the explications, and discussing the authenticity of the Attic. Explana sobre a expansão da materialidade e a desmaterialização dentro do universo artístico, esclarecendo a ressignificação da matéria, bem como a ressignificação do fio têxtil, para a arte. Apresenta um breve histórico sobre a arte têxtil e suas particularidades narrativa e feminina. Discorre sobre o universo da instalação e suas características efémera, contextual e espacial, tendo em conta o processo criativo do artista e sua intenção para a criação e a interpretação da obra. Explora as narrativas mitológicas têxteis; os conceitos de linha, traço e fio de Ingold (2007); as linhas de segmentação, fissura e de fuga constituintes do sujeito, esboçadas por Deleuze e Parnet (1998) e Deleuze e Guattari (1983); traz o pensamento artístico de Edith Derdyk e sua experiência com o trabalho criativo com a linha e o fio. This present research seeks to trace the concept of aesthetics and semiotics of the thread, integrating its possible behaviours and meanings, from a study of the installation artworks of the contemporary artist Chiharu Shiota, considering the available references on the subject in the historical, mythological, anthropological, philosophical and artistic perspectives. Explains about the expansion of materiality and dematerialization within the artistic universe, clarifying the re-signification of matter, as well as the re-signification of textile thread. It presents a brief history of the textile art and its narrative and feminine particularities. It discusses the universe of the installation and its ephemeral, contextual and spatial characteristics, considering the artist's creative process and their intention for the creation and interpretation of the artwork. Explores mythological textile narratives; the concepts of line, trace and thread of Ingold (2007); the segmentation, fissure and escape lines that make up the subject, outlined by Deleuze and Parnet (1998) and Deleuze and Guattari (1983); brings the artistic thought of Edith Derdyk and her experience in creative work with thread and trace. From this triangulation of thoughts and concepts, the case study of Chiharu Shiota's installations is outlined, with sources ranging from press releases, texts by art critics and curators, pictures and videos, interviews found with the artist, as well as a face-to-face visit to one of the artworks, which brings an empirical approach to the analysis, and an interview with the artist granted to the present researcher.
