The partial-decay-rate asymmetries indicating the CP-violating effects in [Formula: see text] decays into two-body baryons are examined within the Kobayashi-Maskawa model. The branching ratios of the decays and the numbers of [Formula: see text] pairs needed for testing these effects are estimated. It turns out that the CP violation asymmetries and the branching ratios are generally small and it is difficult to test the effects in experiments.

The nonleptonic decays from [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] to an orbitally excited P-wave charmed meson are studied within the naive factorization hypothesis. Based on the Mandelstam formalism, and under the framework of the improved Bethe–Salpeter method, the hadronic matrix elements of the decays [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are calculated, in which nonperturbative QCD effects are well considered by overlapping integral over the relativistic Salpeter wave functions of initial and final states. Some of these decays have sizable branching fractions and are expected to be detected in the current and near future experiments.

In this work, we investigate the resonant contributions of K 0 ∗ 1430 and K 0 ∗ 1950 in the three-body B s ⟶ D s K π within the perturbative QCD approach. The form factor F k π s is adopted to describe the nonperturbative dynamics of the S-wave K π system. The branching ratios of all concerned decays are calculated and predicted to be in the order of 1 0 − 10 to 1 0 − 5 . The ratio R of branching fractions between B 0 ⟶ D ¯ 0 K 0 ∗ 0 1430 ⟶ D ¯ 0 K + π − and B s 0 ⟶ D ¯ 0 K ¯ 0 ∗ 0 1430 ⟶ D ¯ 0 K − π + is predicted to be 0.0552, which implies the discrepancy for the LHCb measurements. We expect that the predictions in this work can be tested by the future experiments, especially, to resolve R ratio discrepancy.

The azimuthal correlations between heavy-flavour hadrons or heavy-flavour decay electrons with charged particles in Pb-Pb collisions give insight on the modification of charm-jet properties in nucleus-nucleus collisions and the mechanisms through which heavy quarks in-medium energy-loss takes place. Studies in pp collisions, besides constituting the necessary baseline for nucleus-nucleus measurements, are important for testing expectations from pQCD-inspired Monte Carlo generators. In ALICE heavy-flavour hadrons are studied via their fully reconstructed hadronic decays (D mesons and Λ c baryon), via semileptonic decays of charmed baryons ( Λ c , Ξ c ) and via leptons coming from heavy-flavour hadron decays. In particular in the central barrel, η < | 0 . 8 | , the electrons from heavy-flavour hadron decays are investigated. This proceeding will include the study of azimuthal correlations of D mesons with charged particles in pp collisions and heavy-flavour decay electrons with charged particles in pp and Pb-Pb collisions at different energies available at the LHC. The Experimental results will also be compared with the expectations from POWHEG and PYTHIA event generators.

We review the recent results from the Belle experiment on the measurements of branching fractions and decay asymmetry parameters (α) for the hadronic weak decays of charmed baryons, including Λc+→B+P: Λc+→(Λ,Σ0)h+ (h=π,K) and Λc+→Σ+(π0,η,η′); Ξc0→B+P: Ξc0→Ξ−π+; Ξc0→B+V: Ξc0→ΛK¯*0, Ξc0→Σ0K¯*0, and Ξc0→Σ+K*−. In addition, we present an overview of the searches for CP violation via the α-induced CP asymmetry for Λc+→(Λ,Σ0)h+ and Ξc0→Ξ−π+. Finally, we discuss the promising decay modes of Ωc0 which can be measured in the near future and are indispensable in searching for CP violation in the charm sector.

The positive parity scalar [Formula: see text] and axial-vector [Formula: see text] charmed strange mesons are generated by coupled-channel dynamics through the s-wave scattering of Goldstone bosons off the pseudoscalar and vector D ( D s)-meson ground states. The attraction leading to the specific masses of these states reflects the chiral symmetry breaking scale which characterizes the Weinberg-Tomozawa interaction in the chiral Lagrangian. Chiral corrections to order [Formula: see text] are calculated and found to be small. The [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] mesons decay either strongly into the isospin-violating π0 D s and [Formula: see text] channels or electromagnetically. We show that the π0-η and ( K 0 D +- K + D 0) mixings act constructively to generate strong widths of the order of 140 keV. The one-loop contribution to the radiative decay amplitudes of scalar and axial-vector states is calculated using the electromagnetic Lagrangian to chiral order [Formula: see text]. We show the importance of taking into account processes involving light vector mesons explicitly in the dynamics of electromagnetic decays to obtain a satisfactory description of the available data.

The Large Hadron Collider at CERN allows us to study heavy-ion collisions at an un- precedented energy. ALICE, A Large Ion Collider Experiment, is the experiment ded- icated to the investigation of heavy-ion collisions. In this contribution, recent open heavy-flavour results from pp collisions at [Formula: see text]= 5.02, 7, 8 and 13 TeV and p–Pb collisions at [Formula: see text] = 5.02 TeV, collected with the ALICE detector during the LHC Run-1 and Run-2 are presented. The results include the production cross section, nuclear modification factor and multiplicity dependence studies of production of D mesons and electrons from heavy-flavour hadron decays at mid-rapidity and of muons from heavy-flavour hadron decays at forward rapidity. Charm production was measured down to [Formula: see text] = 0 GeV/[Formula: see text] in pp and p–Pb collisions. Recent measurements of the production cross section of heavy charmed baryons such as [Formula: see text] (in pp and p–Pb) and [Formula: see text] (in pp) are discussed. The results are compared with theoretical model predictions.

We will firstly derive analytic expressions for angular distributions using the helicity amplitude technique. Abstract The contributions for kaon pair from the intermediate states $\rho(1450)^+$ and $\rho(1700)^+$ in the decays of $B^+ \to \bar{D}^0 K^+ \bar{K}^0$, $B^0 \to D^- K^+ \bar{K}^0$ and $B_s^0 \to D_s^-K^+ \bar{K}^0$ are analyzed within the perturbative QCD factorization approach. The decay amplitudes for all concerned decays in this work are dominated by the factorizable Feynman diagrams with the emission of the kaon pair, and the charged $\rho$ mesons should be of great importance in the $KK$ channel of the related three-body $B$ decays. Besides, these quasi-two-body decays are CKM-favored and the relevant branching ratios are predicted in the order of $10^{-5}$, which are potential to be measured by experiments. It is also shown that the contributions of the subprocesses $\rho(1450, 1700)^+ \to KK$ for the three-body $B$ meson decays are considerable according to the total three-body branching fractions presented by Belle. Therefore, the decays $B^+ \to \bar{D}^0 K^+ \bar{K}^0$, $B^0 \to D^- K^+ \bar{K}^0$ and $B_s^0 \to D_s^-K^+ \bar{K}^0$ can be employed to study the properties of $\rho(1450)$ and $\rho(1700)$ in the LHCb and Belle-II experiments.

AbstractIn this work, we study the impact of $$b \rightarrow s \ell \ell $$ b → s ℓ ℓ , $$B_s - \bar{B_s}$$ B s - B s ¯ mixing and neutrino trident measurements on observables in decays induced by $$c \rightarrow u $$ c → u transition in the context of a non-universal $$Z'$$ Z ′ model which generates $$C^{\mathrm{NP}}_{9} <0$$ C 9 NP < 0 and $$C^{\mathrm{NP}}_9 = - \,C^{\mathrm{NP}}_{10} $$ C 9 NP = - C 10 NP new physics scenarios at the tree level. We inspect the effects on $$D^0 \rightarrow \pi ^0 \nu {\bar{\nu }}$$ D 0 → π 0 ν ν ¯ , $$D^+ \rightarrow \pi ^+ \nu {\bar{\nu }}$$ D + → π + ν ν ¯ and $$B_c \rightarrow B^+ \nu {\bar{\nu }} $$ B c → B + ν ν ¯ decays which are induced by the quark level transition $$c \rightarrow u \nu {\bar{\nu }}$$ c → u ν ν ¯ . The fact that the branching ratios of these decays are negligible in the standard model (SM) and the long distance effects are relatively smaller in comparison to their charged dileptons counterparts, they are considered to provide genuine null-tests of SM. Therefore the observation of these modes at the level of current as well as planned experimental sensitivities would imply unambiguous signature of new physics. Using the constraints on $$Z'$$ Z ′ couplings coming from a combined fit to $$b \rightarrow s \ell \ell $$ b → s ℓ ℓ , $$\varDelta M_s$$ Δ M s and neutrino trident data, we find that any meaningful enhancement over the SM value is ruled out in the considered framework. The same is true for $$D - {\bar{D}}$$ D - D ¯ mixing observable $$\varDelta M_D$$ Δ M D along with $$D^0 \rightarrow \mu ^+ \mu ^-$$ D 0 → μ + μ - and $$D^+ \rightarrow \pi ^+ \mu ^+ \mu ^-$$ D + → π + μ + μ - decay modes which are induced through $$c \rightarrow u \mu ^+ \mu ^-$$ c → u μ + μ - transition.

Abstract We investigate the decays of $B^0 \to K^0 X(3872)$ and $B^+ \to K^+ X(3872)$ based on the picture where the $X(3872)$ resonance is strongly coupled to the $D\bar{D}^* + c.c.$ channel. In addition to the decay mechanism where the $X(3872)$ resonance is formed from the $c\bar{c}$ pair hadronization with the short-distance interaction, we have also considered the $D\bar{D}^*$ rescattering diagrams in the long-distance scale, where $D$ and $\bar{D}^*$ are formed from $c$ and $\bar{c}$ separately. Because of the difference of the mass thresholds of charged and neutral $D\bar{D}^*$ channels, and the rather narrow width of the $X(3872)$ resonance, at the $X(3872)$ mass, the loop functions of $D^0\bar{D}^{*0}$ and $D^+\bar{D}^{*-}$ are much different. Taking this difference into account, the ratio of $\mathcal{B}[B^0\to K^0X(3872)]/\mathcal{B}[B^+ \to K^+ X(3872)] \simeq 0.5$ can be naturally obtained. Based on this result, we also evaluate the decay widths of $B_s^0 \to \eta(\eta') X(3872)$. It is expected that future experimental measurements of these decays can be used to elucidate the nature of the $X(3872)$ resonance.

The results are$$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}{C}_{\pi \pi}=-0.311\pm 0.045\pm 0.015,\\ {}{S}_{\pi \pi}=-0.706\pm 0.042\pm 0.013,\\ {}{C}_{KK}=0.123\pm 0.034\pm 0.015,\\ {}{S}_{KK}=0.164\pm 0.034\pm 0.014,\\ {}{\mathcal{A}}_{KK}^{\Delta \varGamma }=-0.83\pm 0.05\pm 0.09,\end{array}} $$ C ππ = − 0.311 ± 0.045 ± 0.015 , S ππ = − 0.706 ± 0.042 ± 0.013 , C KK = 0.123 ± 0.034 ± 0.015 , S KK = 0.164 ± 0.034 ± 0.014 , A KK Δ Γ = − 0.83 ± 0.05 ± 0.09 , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The same data sample is used to measure the time-integrated CP asymmetries of B0→ K + π− and $$ {B}_s^0 $$ B s 0 →K−π+ decays and the results are$$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}{A}_{CP}^{B^0}=-0.0824\pm 0.0033\pm 0.0033,\\ {}{A}_{CP}^{B_s^0}=0.236\pm 0.013\pm 0.011.\end{array}} $$ A CP B 0 = − 0.0824 ± 0.0033 ± 0.0033 , A CP B s 0 = 0.236 ± 0.013 ± 0.011 . All results are consistent with earlier measurements. A combination of LHCb measurements provides the first observation of time-dependent CP violation in $$ {B}_s^0 $$ B s 0 decays.

AbstractIn this work, we propose to search for the exotic doubly charmed meson $$T_{cc}^+$$ T cc + and its analog $$T_{cc\bar{s}}^+$$ T c c s ¯ + in $$B_c^+$$ B c + decays, which provide a good environment for the formation of the exotic state containing double charm quarks. Within the molecular scheme, the production of $$T_{cc}^+$$ T cc + and $$T_{cc\bar{s}}^+$$ T c c s ¯ + through various rescattering processes with different intermediate states are investigated. For the moderate values of model parameters, the branching ratios of $$B_c^+$$ B c + decaying into $$T_{cc}^+ \bar{D}^{0}$$ T cc + D ¯ 0 , $$T_{cc}^+ \bar{D}^{*0}$$ T cc + D ¯ ∗ 0 , $$T_{cc\bar{s}}^+ \bar{D}^{0}$$ T c c s ¯ + D ¯ 0 and $$T_{cc\bar{s}}^+ \bar{D}^{*0}$$ T c c s ¯ + D ¯ ∗ 0 are estimated to be of the order of $$10^{-7}$$ 10 - 7 , $$10^{-5}$$ 10 - 5 , $$10^{-6}$$ 10 - 6 and $$10^{-4}$$ 10 - 4 , respectively, which may be tested by future experiments.

AbstractIn this work, we investigate the $$B_s\rightarrow V S$$ B s → V S decays in the perturbative QCD approach, where V and S denote the vector meson and scalar meson respectively. Based on the two-quark structure, considering two different scenarios for describing the scalar mesons, we calculate the branching fractions and the direct CP asymmetries of all $$B_s\rightarrow VS$$ B s → V S decays. Most branching fractions are predicted to be at $$10^{-7}$$ 10 - 7 to $$10^{-5}$$ 10 - 5 , which could be measured in the LHCb and Belle-II experiments, especially for these color-allowed decays $$B_s\rightarrow \kappa (800)(K_0^*(1430))K^*$$ B s → κ ( 800 ) ( K 0 ∗ ( 1430 ) ) K ∗ and $$B_s\rightarrow K_0^{*-}(1430)\rho ^+$$ B s → K 0 ∗ - ( 1430 ) ρ + . It is found that the branching fractions of $$B_s\rightarrow K_0^{*0}(1430){\bar{K}}^{*0}$$ B s → K 0 ∗ 0 ( 1430 ) K ¯ ∗ 0 and $$B_s\rightarrow K_0^{*+}(1430){\bar{K}}^{*-}$$ B s → K 0 ∗ + ( 1430 ) K ¯ ∗ - are very sensitive to the scenarios, which can be used to determine whether $$K_0^{*0}(1430)$$ K 0 ∗ 0 ( 1430 ) belongs to the ground state or the first excited state, if the data were available. We also note that some decays have large direct CP asymmetries, some of which are also sensitive to the scenarios, such as the $$B_s \rightarrow a_0^+(1450)K^{*-}$$ B s → a 0 + ( 1450 ) K ∗ - and the $$B_s\rightarrow f_0(1500) K^{*0}$$ B s → f 0 ( 1500 ) K ∗ 0 decays. Since the experimental measurements of $$B_s\rightarrow VS$$ B s → V S decays are on the way, combined with the available data in the future, we expect the theoretical predictions will shed light on the structure of the scalar mesons.

Abstract We investigate the two loop electroweak corrections to B meson rare decays $\bar B\rightarrow X_s\gamma$ and $B_s^0\rightarrow \mu^+\mu^-$ in the minimal supersymmetry standard model (MSSM) extension with two triplets and one singlet (TNMSSM). The new particle contents and interactions in the TNMSSM can affect the theoretical predictions of the branching ratios ${\rm Br}(\bar B\rightarrow X_s\gamma)$ and ${\rm Br}(B_s^0\rightarrow \mu^+\mu^-)$, and the corrections from two loop diagrams to the process $\bar B\rightarrow X_s\gamma$ can reach around $4\%$. Considering the latest experimental measurements, the numerical results of ${\rm Br}(\bar B\rightarrow X_s\gamma)$ and ${\rm Br}(B_s^0\rightarrow \mu^+\mu^-)$ in the TNMSSM are presented and analyzed. It is found that the results in the TNMSSM can fit the updated experimental data well and the new parameters $T_{\lambda},\;\kappa,\;\lambda$ affect the theoretical predictions of ${\rm Br}(\bar B\rightarrow X_s\gamma)$ and ${\rm Br}(B_s^0\rightarrow \mu^+\mu^-)$ obviously. Abstract Using the perturbative QCD approach, we studied the effects from hadronic structure of photon on the pure annihilation rediative decays $B\to\phi\gamma$ and $B_s\to(\rho^0,\omega)\gamma$. These decays have small branching fractions due to the power suppression by the $\Lambda/m_B$, which make them very sensitive to the next-leading power corrections. The quark components and the related two-particle distribution amplitudes of a final state photon are introduced. The branching fractions can be enhanced remarkably by the factorizable and nonfactorizable emission diagrams. The branching fraction of $B\to \phi\gamma$ even increases by about 40 times, and those of $B_s \to \rho^0\gamma$ and $B_s \to \omega\gamma$ are at the order of ${\cal O}(10^{-10})$. We also note that the ratio of branching fractions of $B_s \to \rho^0\gamma$ and $B_s \to \omega\gamma$ is very sensitive to the effects from hadronic structure of photon. AbstractIn this letter, we use LHC data from the Drell–Yan processes $$pp\rightarrow \ell _i\ell _j$$ p p → ℓ i ℓ j (with $$i\ne j$$ i ≠ j ) to derive model-independent upper limits on lepton-flavor-violating meson decays. Our analysis is based on an Effective Field Theory (EFT) approach and it does not require a specific assumption regarding the basis of effective operators. We find that current LHC data (140 $$\textrm{fb}^{-1}$$ fb - 1 ) already provides competitive limits on $${\mathcal {B}}(B\rightarrow \pi e \tau )$$ B ( B → π e τ ) and $${\mathcal {B}}(B\rightarrow \pi \mu \tau )$$ B ( B → π μ τ ) with respect to the ones obtained through experimental searches at the B-factories. Moreover, we derive upper limits on several decays that have not been searched for experimentally yet, such as $$D^0\rightarrow e\tau $$ D 0 → e τ in the charm sector, and various semileptonic decays such as $$B\rightarrow \rho \mu \tau $$ B → ρ μ τ , $$B_s\rightarrow K \mu \tau $$ B s → K μ τ and $$B_s\rightarrow \phi \mu \tau $$ B s → ϕ μ τ . Lastly, we discuss the validity of the EFT description of LHC data and the impact of loop corrections in our analysis.

Abstract Doubly Cabibbo-suppressed (DCS) nonleptonic weak decays of antitriplet charmed baryons are studied systematically in this work. The factorizable and nonfactorizable contributions can be classified explicitly in the topological-diagram approach and treated separately. In particular, the evaluation of nonfactorizable terms is based on the pole model in conjunction with current algebra. All three types of relevant non- perturbative parameters contributing factorizable and nonfactorizable terms are estimated in the MIT bag model. Branching fractions of all the DCS decays are predicted to be of order 10−4 ∼ 10−6. In particular, we find that the three modes $$ {\Xi}_c^{+}\to {\Sigma}^{+}{K}^0,{\Sigma}^0{K}^{+} $$ Ξ c + → Σ + K 0 , Σ 0 K + and $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to {\Sigma}^{-}{K}^{+} $$ Ξ c 0 → Σ − K + are as large as (1 ∼ 2) × 10−4, which are the most promising DCS channels to be measured. We also point out that the two DCS modes $$ {\Xi}_c^{+}\to {\Sigma}^{+}{K}^0 $$ Ξ c + → Σ + K 0 and $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to {\Sigma}^0{K}^0 $$ Ξ c 0 → Σ 0 K 0 are possible to be distinguished from $$ {\Xi}_c^{+}\to {\Sigma}^{+}{K}_S $$ Ξ c + → Σ + K S and $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to {\Sigma}^0{K}_S $$ Ξ c 0 → Σ 0 K S . The decay asymmetries for all the channels with a kaon in their final states are found to be large in magnitude and negative in sign.

AbstractThe detection of radially excited charmonium and charm meson states, and measurement of heavy meson decays, particularly $$B_c^+\rightarrow J/\psi D_s^+$$ B c + → J / ψ D s + and $$B_c^+\rightarrow J/\psi D_s^{*+}$$ B c + → J / ψ D s ∗ + , by the LHCb and ATLAS Collaborations, have aroused a lot of theoretical interest in the nonleptonic decays of b-flavored mesons. In this paper, we study the exclusive two-body nonleptonic $${\bar{B}}^0$$ B ¯ 0 , $$\bar{B_s^0}$$ B s 0 ¯ , $$B^-$$ B - and $$B_c^-$$ B c - -meson decays to two vector meson ($$V_1(nS)V_2$$ V 1 ( n S ) V 2 ) states. Assuming the factorization hypothesis, we calculate the weak-decay form factors from the overlapping integrals of meson wave functions, in the framework of the relativistic independent quark (RIQ) model. We find a few dominant decay modes: $$B^-\rightarrow D^{*0}\rho ^-$$ B - → D ∗ 0 ρ - , $$\bar{B^0}\rightarrow D^{*+}\rho ^-$$ B 0 ¯ → D ∗ + ρ - , $$\bar{B_s^0}\rightarrow D_s^{*+}\rho ^-$$ B s 0 ¯ → D s ∗ + ρ - , $$B^-\rightarrow J/\psi K^{*-}$$ B - → J / ψ K ∗ - and $$B_c^-\rightarrow J/\psi D_s^{*-}$$ B c - → J / ψ D s ∗ - with predicted branching fractions of 1.52, 1.40, 1.16, 0.46 and 0.27 (in $$\%$$ % ), which are experimentally accessible. The predicted branching fractions for corresponding decay modes to excited (2S) states, obtained in $${{\mathscr {O}} }(10^{-3}-10^{-4})$$ O ( 10 - 3 - 10 - 4 ) lie within the detection accuracy of the current experiments at LHCb and Tevatron. Our predicted CP-odd fractions ($$R_\perp $$ R ⊥ ) for color-favored $$B_c$$ B c -decays to two charmful states ($$D^*D^*_{(s)}$$ D ∗ D ( s ) ∗ ) are found significant as compared to similar decay modes of other b-flavored mesons.

AbstractThe anomalies in rare B decays endure. We present results of an updated global analysis that takes into account the latest experimental input – in particular the recent results on $$R_K$$ R K and BR$$(B_s \rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-)$$ ( B s → μ + μ - ) – and that qualitatively improves the treatment of theory uncertainties. Fit results are presented for the Wilson coefficients of four-fermion contact interactions. We find that muon specific Wilson coefficients $$C_9 \simeq -0.73$$ C 9 ≃ - 0.73 or $$C_9 = -C_{10} \simeq -0.39$$ C 9 = - C 10 ≃ - 0.39 continue to give an excellent description of the data. If only theoretically clean observables are considered, muon specific $$C_{10} \simeq 0.60$$ C 10 ≃ 0.60 or $$C_9=-C_{10} \simeq -0.35$$ C 9 = - C 10 ≃ - 0.35 improve over the Standard Model by $$\sqrt{\Delta \chi ^2} \simeq 4.7\sigma $$ Δ χ 2 ≃ 4.7 σ and $$\sqrt{\Delta \chi ^2} \simeq 4.6\sigma $$ Δ χ 2 ≃ 4.6 σ , respectively. In various new physics scenarios we provide predictions for lepton flavor universality observables and CP asymmetries that can be tested with more data. We update our previous combination of ATLAS, CMS, and LHCb data on BR$$(B_s \rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-)$$ ( B s → μ + μ - ) and BR$$(B^0\rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-)$$ ( B 0 → μ + μ - ) taking into account the full two-dimensional non-Gaussian experimental likelihoods.

AbstractIn this work, we study the low-lying mass spectra for bottom-charmed baryons in a nonrelativistic quark model by solving the three-body Schrödinger equation. The lowest $$\Xi _{bc}$$ Ξ bc , $$\Xi _{bc}^\prime $$ Ξ bc ′ , $$\Omega _{bc}$$ Ω bc , and $$\Omega _{bc}^\prime $$ Ω bc ′ states are predicted to be about 6979, 6953, 7109, and 7092 MeV, respectively. Also, the strong decays for the low-lying excited states are investigated. Our results indicate that some of $$\lambda $$ λ -mode P-wave bottom-charmed baryons are relatively narrow, which can be searched for in future experiments. For the low-lying $$\rho $$ ρ -mode and $$\rho -\lambda $$ ρ - λ hybrid states, their strong decays are highly suppressed and they can survive as extremely narrow states. Moreover, the mass spectra and strong decays for bottom-charmed baryons preserve the heavy quark symmetry well. We hope our calculations can provide helpful information for further experimental and theoretical researches.

AbstractMotivated by the LHCb observation of exotic states $$X_{0,1}(2900)$$ X 0 , 1 ( 2900 ) with four open quark flavors in the $$D^- K^+$$ D - K + invariant mass distribution in the decay channel $$B^\pm \rightarrow D^+ D^- K^\pm $$ B ± → D + D - K ± , we study the spectrum and decay properties of the open charm tetraquarks. Using the two-body chromomagnetic interactions, we find that the two newly observed states can be interpreted as a radial excited tetraquark with $$J^P=0^+$$ J P = 0 + and an orbitally excited tetraquark with $$J^P=1^-$$ J P = 1 - , respectively. We then explore the mass and decays of the other flavor-open tetraquarks made of $$su {\bar{d}} {\bar{c}}$$ s u d ¯ c ¯ and $$ d s {\bar{u}} {\bar{c}}$$ d s u ¯ c ¯ , which are in the $${\bar{6}}$$ 6 ¯ or 15 representation of the flavor SU(3) group. We point that these two states can be found through the decays: $$X^{(\prime )}_{d s \bar{u}\bar{c}}\rightarrow (D^- K^-, D_s^- \pi ^-) $$ X d s u ¯ c ¯ ( ′ ) → ( D - K - , D s - π - ) , and $$X^{(\prime )}_{s u \bar{d}\bar{c}}\rightarrow D_s^-\pi ^+ $$ X s u d ¯ c ¯ ( ′ ) → D s - π + . We also apply our analysis to open bottom tetraquark $$X_b$$ X b and predict their masses. The open-flavored $$X_b$$ X b can be discovered through the following decays: $$X_{ud{\bar{s}}\bar{b}}\rightarrow B^0K^+$$ X u d s ¯ b ¯ → B 0 K + , $$X^{(\prime )}_{d s \bar{u}\bar{b}}\rightarrow (B^0 K^-, B_s^0 \pi ^-) $$ X d s u ¯ b ¯ ( ′ ) → ( B 0 K - , B s 0 π - ) , and $$X^{(\prime )}_{s u \bar{d}\bar{b}}\rightarrow B_s^0\pi ^+ $$ X s u d ¯ b ¯ ( ′ ) → B s 0 π + .

AbstractThe decays of $$B_{d,s}^0 \rightarrow \sigma \sigma , \sigma f_0, f_0 f_0$$ B d , s 0 → σ σ , σ f 0 , f 0 f 0 , with $$\sigma $$ σ and $$f_0$$ f 0 denoting the light scalar mesons $$f_0(500)$$ f 0 ( 500 ) and $$f_0(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) in the two-quark picture, are studied in the perturbative QCD approach based on $$k_T$$ k T factorization. With the referenced value of the mixing angle $$|\varphi | \sim 25^\circ $$ | φ | ∼ 25 ∘ for the $$\sigma -f_0$$ σ - f 0 mixing in the quark-flavor basis, it is of great interest to obtain that: (a) these neutral B-meson decays into $$\sigma \sigma , \sigma f_0$$ σ σ , σ f 0 , and $$f_0 f_0$$ f 0 f 0 have large branching ratios in the order of $$10^{-6}{-}10^{-4}$$ 10 - 6 - 10 - 4 , which mean the possibly constructive interferences existed in the decays with different flavor states, and then are expected to be tested at the Large Hadron Collider beauty and/or Belle-II experiments in the (near) future; (b) the large direct CP violations could be easily found in the $$B_d^0 \rightarrow \sigma \sigma , f_0 f_0$$ B d 0 → σ σ , f 0 f 0 and $$B_{d,s}^0 \rightarrow \sigma f_0$$ B d , s 0 → σ f 0 decays, which indicate the considerable interferences between the tree and the penguin decay amplitudes involved in these four modes, and would be confronted with the future measurements; (c) these neutral B-meson decays could be examined through the secondary decay chain $$\sigma /f_0 \rightarrow \pi ^+ \pi ^-$$ σ / f 0 → π + π - , namely, the four-body decays of $$B_{d,s}^0 \rightarrow (\pi ^+ \pi ^-)_{\sigma (f_0)} (\pi ^+ \pi ^-)_{\sigma (f_0)}$$ B d , s 0 → ( π + π - ) σ ( f 0 ) ( π + π - ) σ ( f 0 ) with still large branching ratios. On the other side, it seems that other 4 four-body decays of $$B_d^0 \rightarrow (\pi ^+ \pi ^-)_{\sigma } (K^+ K^-)_{f_0}$$ B d 0 → ( π + π - ) σ ( K + K - ) f 0 , $$B_s^0 \rightarrow (\pi ^+ \pi ^-)_{\sigma (f_0)} (K^+ K^-)_{f_0}$$ B s 0 → ( π + π - ) σ ( f 0 ) ( K + K - ) f 0 , and $$B_s^0 \rightarrow (K^+ K^-)_{f_0} (K^+ K^-)_{f_0}$$ B s 0 → ( K + K - ) f 0 ( K + K - ) f 0 could also be detected at the relevant experiments, if the $$f_0 \rightarrow K^+ K^-$$ f 0 → K + K - could be identified from the $$\phi \rightarrow K^+ K^-$$ ϕ → K + K - clearly. The (near) future experimental confirmations with good precision would help to further study the perturbative and/or nonperturbative QCD dynamics involved in these considered decay modes, as well as to explore the intrinsic characters of these scalar mesons $$\sigma $$ σ and/or $$f_0$$ f 0 and to constrain both of the magnitude and the sign of $$\varphi $$ φ .

AbstractWe calculated transitions of the higher radial excited charmonia $$ \psi (nS) ~ ( n=3,4,5 )$$ ψ ( n S ) ( n = 3 , 4 , 5 ) to the orbital excited charmonium $$ h_c(1P) $$ h c ( 1 P ) with emission of one pion or eta meson. In calculations, the intermediate S- and P-wave charmed meson loops were considered in terms of the nonrelativistic effective field theory. The results indicate that the transitions of interest are dominated by the loops involving the $$ s_l^P=(1/2)^+ $$ s l P = ( 1 / 2 ) + charmed mesons, whereas the $$ s_l^P=(1/2)^- $$ s l P = ( 1 / 2 ) - charmed meson loops are of minor contributions. The partial decay widths of $$ \psi (nS) \rightarrow h_c \pi ^0 $$ ψ ( n S ) → h c π 0 are of the order of 0.01–1 keV. For the case of $$ \psi (nS) \rightarrow h_c \eta $$ ψ ( n S ) → h c η , the partial decay widths are from 0.1 to 100 keV, implying the branching ratios from $$ 10^{-5} $$ 10 - 5 to $$ 10^{-3} $$ 10 - 3 . Moreover, the partial decay widths for $$ \psi (nS) \rightarrow h_c \eta $$ ψ ( n S ) → h c η are found to decrease as the $$ \eta $$ η -$$ \eta ' $$ η ′ mixing angle increases. It is hoped that the present calculated results would be observed in the future experiments.

Abstract Determining for the first time the Darwin operator contribution for the non-leptonic charm-quark decays and using new non-perturbative results for the matrix elements of ∆C = 0 four-quark operators, including eye-contractions, we present a comprehensive study of the lifetimes of charmed mesons and inclusive semileptonic decay rates as well as the ratios, within the framework of the Heavy Quark Expansion (HQE). We find good agreement with experiment for the ratio τ(D+)/τ(D0), for the total $$ {D}_s^{+} $$ D s + -meson decay rate, for the semileptonic rates of all three mesons D0, D+ and $$ {D}_s^{+} $$ D s + , and for the semileptonic ratio $$ {\Gamma}_{sl}^{D^{+}}/{\Gamma}_{sl}^{D^0} $$ Γ sl D + / Γ sl D 0 . The total decay rates of the D0 and D+ mesons are underestimated in our HQE approach and we suspect that this is due to missing higher-order QCD corrections to the free charm quark decay and the Pauli interference contribution. For the SU(3)F breaking ratios $$ \tau \left({D}_s^{+}\right)/\tau \left({D}^0\right) $$ τ D s + / τ D 0 and $$ {\Gamma}_{sl}^{D_s^{+}}/{\Gamma}_{sl}^{D^0} $$ Γ sl D s + / Γ sl D 0 our predictions lie closer to one than experiment. This might originate from the poor knowledge of the non-perturbative parameters $$ {\mu}_G^2 $$ μ G 2 , $$ {\mu}_{\uppi}^2 $$ μ π 2 and $$ {\rho}_D^3 $$ ρ D 3 in the D0 and $$ {D}_s^{+} $$ D s + systems. These parameters could be determined by experimental studies of the moments of inclusive semileptonic D meson decays.

AbstractLHCb Collaboration studied the resonant structure of $$B_s\rightarrow \overline{D}^0K^-\pi ^+$$ B s → D ¯ 0 K - π + decays using the Dalitz plot analysis technique, based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $$3.0\textrm{fb}^{-1}$$ 3.0 fb - 1 of pp collision. The $$K^-\pi ^+$$ K - π + components have been analyzed in the amplitude model, where the decay amplitude is modeled to be the resonant contributions with respect to the intermediate resonances $$K^*(892)$$ K ∗ ( 892 ) , $$K_0^*(1430)$$ K 0 ∗ ( 1430 ) and $$K_2^*(1430)$$ K 2 ∗ ( 1430 ) . Motivated by the experimental results, we investigate the CKM-favored quasi-two-body $$B \rightarrow \overline{D}^0K\pi $$ B → D ¯ 0 K π decays in the framework of the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach. We calculate the the branching fractions by introducing the appropriate wave functions of $$K\pi $$ K π pair. Our results are in agreement well the available data, and others can be tested in LHCb and Belle-II experiments. Using the narrow-width-approximation, we also extract the branching fractions of the corresponding two-body $$B\rightarrow {\overline{D}} R$$ B → D ¯ R decays, which agree to the previous theoretical calculations and the experimental data within the errors. There are no CP asymmetries in these decays in the standard model, because these decays are all governed by only the tree operators.

A broad range of measurements involving BB mesons are performed with the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, of which a selection is discussed in this note. This includes a measurement of the relative B_c^\pmBc± to B^\pmB± production cross section in pppp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy \sqrt{s}s of 8 TeV as well as the latest results on the branching ratios of the rare decays B^0_s\to\mu^+\mu^-Bs0→μ+μ− and B^0\to\mu^+\mu^-B0→μ+μ− using pppp collisions recorded at \sqrt{s}=s= 7, 8 and 13 TeV. Furthermore, accurate measurements of mixing and CP violation in B_s^0 \to J/\psi\, \phiBs0→J/ψϕ decays are performed. The latest results on the CP violating phase \phi_sϕs and other parameters describing the decay obtained at \sqrt{s}=s= 7, 8 and 13 TeV are reported.

Motivated by this, we study these quasi-two-body decays in the perturbative QCD approach. The branching fractions, CP asymmetries and the polarization fractions are calculated. We find that within the appropriate two-meson wave functions, the calculated branching fractions are in agreement with the measurements of LHCb. Based on the narrow-width approximation, We also calculate the branching fractions of the quasi-two-body $$B_{d,s}\rightarrow \phi (f_0(980)/f_2(1270)\rightarrow ) \pi ^0\pi ^0$$ B d , s → ϕ ( f 0 ( 980 ) / f 2 ( 1270 ) → ) π 0 π 0 and $$B_{d,s}\rightarrow \phi (f_2(1270)\rightarrow ) K^+K^-$$ B d , s → ϕ ( f 2 ( 1270 ) → ) K + K - , and hope the predictions to be tested in the ongoing LHCb and Belle II experiments. AbstractWe study the up-down asymmetries in the three-body anti-triplet charmed baryon decays of $$\mathbf{B}_{\mathbf{c}}\rightarrow \mathbf{B}_{\mathbf{n}}MM' $$Bc→BnMM′ with the $$SU(3)_f$$SU(3)f flavor symmetry, where $$\mathbf{B}_{\mathbf{c}}$$Bc presents the anti-triplet charmed baryon of $$(\Xi _c^0,-\Xi _c^+,\Lambda _c^+)$$(Ξc0,-Ξc+,Λc+), while $$\mathbf{B}_{\mathbf{n}}$$Bn and $$M^{(')}$$M(′) denote octet baryon and meson states, respectively. By assuming the s-wave meson-pairs to be the dominant constituents in final state configurations, we can write the spin-dependent decay amplitude into parity-conserving and parity-violating parts, parametrized by 6 real parameters under $$SU(3)_f$$SU(3)f, respectively. Fitting these parameters by 16 experimental data points with the minimum $$\chi ^2$$χ2 method, we obtain that $$\chi ^2/d.o.f=2.4$$χ2/d.o.f=2.4. With the fitted parameters, we evaluate the up-down asymmetries along with the decay branching ratios of $$\mathbf{B}_{\mathbf{c}}\rightarrow \mathbf{B}_{\mathbf{n}}MM' $$Bc→BnMM′. Some of these up-down asymmetries are accessible to the experiments at BESIII, BELLE-II and LHCb.

Abstract In this work, we carry out a global fit for the two-body weak decays of antitriplet charmed baryons in both SU(3) respected and broken scenarios incorporating all the available data up to date. In the SU(3) irreducible representation approach (IRA), more amplitudes for irreducible representation terms are taken into account and the ranges for their coefficients in each scenarios are predicted. By a comparison among various fitting schemes in this work, experimental data prefer the SU(3) symmetry breaking scenario. Observables of interest, branching fractions and decay asymmetries of all the Cabibbo-favored (CF), singly Cabibbo-suppressed (SCS) and doubly Cabibbo-suppressed (DCS) channels are calculated in the chosen fitting scheme. Most of our predictions are consistent well with experimental data. We further propose more ways to explore the SU(3) symmetry in charmed baryon decays: (i) A clear measurement of branching fraction on CF mode $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to {\Xi}^0{\pi}^0 $$ Ξ c 0 → Ξ 0 π 0 as a large difference exists between SU(3) respected and broken scenarios. (ii) The decay asymmetries of the five yet-to-be measured CF decay modes, $$ {\Xi}_c^0\to {\Lambda}^0{K}_S $$ Ξ c 0 → Λ 0 K S , Σ0KS, Ξ0π0, Ξ0η, Ξ0η′, for their opposite signs in the two different cases. (iii) The future measurement on branching fraction ratios indicated from eq. (2.10) and presented on table 7. An improved measurement for $$ \alpha \left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S\right) $$ α Λ c + → p K S is called for since predictions from both fittings, including the one in current work and earlier works, and the pole model calculation prefer an opposite sign from previous experimental value. Given branching fractions of most of the CF modes and part of the SCS modes being measured, predictions for the remaining channels, including the DCS modes as well as more decay asymmetries, are anticipated to be checked by the upcoming experiments in BESIII, Belle/Belle-II and LHCb.

Abstract Nowadays High Energy Physics experiments can accumulate unprecedented statistics of heavy flavour decays that allows to apply new methods, based on the study of very rare phenomena, which used to be just desperate. In this paper we propose a new method to measure composition of K0-$$ \overline{K} $$ K ¯ 0, produced in a decay of heavy hadrons. This composition contains important information, in particular about weak and strong phases between amplitudes of the produced K0 and $$ \overline{K} $$ K ¯ 0. We consider possibility to measure these parameters with time-dependent K0 → π+π− analysis. Due to C P -violation in kaon mixing time-dependent decay rates of K0 and $$ \overline{K} $$ K ¯ 0 differ, and the initial amplitudes revealed in the CP-violating decay pattern. We perform phenomenological study of K0 decay evolution initially produced as a combination $$ a\left.|{K}^0(t)\right\rangle +b\left.|{\overline{K}}^0(t)\right\rangle $$ a K 0 t + b K ¯ 0 t , where a and b, complex amplitudes, could also be dependent on decay time of heavy mother particle. In particular we consider cases of charmed hadrons decays: D+ → K0π+, $$ {D}_s^{+} $$ D s + → K0K+, Λ → pK0 and with some assumptions D0 → K0π0. This can be used to test the sum rule for charmed mesons and to obtain input for the full constraint of the two body amplitudes of D-mesons.

AbstractThe axial-vector mesons $$f_1(1285)$$ f 1 ( 1285 ) and $$f_1(1420)$$ f 1 ( 1420 ) are particularly viewed as the mixtures of flavor states $$f_n$$ f n and $$f_s$$ f s with mixing angle $$\varphi $$ φ . In order to determine this angle, we study the $$B_{d,s}^0\rightarrow J/\psi f_1(1285,1420)$$ B d , s 0 → J / ψ f 1 ( 1285 , 1420 ) and $$B_{d,s}^0\rightarrow \eta _c f_1(1285,1420)$$ B d , s 0 → η c f 1 ( 1285 , 1420 ) decays in perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach, including the effects of vertex corrections, nonfactorizable diagrams and penguin operators. Not only the branching fractions, but also the direct CP asymmetries and the polarization fractions are calculated. It is found that the branching fractions of these decays are large enough to be measured in the running LHCb and Belle-II experiments. Moreover, in comparison with the observed $${\mathcal {B}}(B_{d,s}^0 \rightarrow J/\psi f_1(1285))$$ B ( B d , s 0 → J / ψ f 1 ( 1285 ) ) , $$B_s^0 \rightarrow (J/\psi , \eta _c) f_1(1420)$$ B s 0 → ( J / ψ , η c ) f 1 ( 1420 ) decays have large branching fractions, which could be measured promisingly through $$f_1(1420) \rightarrow K_S^0 K^\pm \pi ^\mp $$ f 1 ( 1420 ) → K S 0 K ± π ∓ in experiments. We also propose several ratios that could be used to further constrain the absolute value of the mixing angle $$\varphi $$ φ , but its sign cannot be determined yet in these decays. The direct CP asymmetries of these decays indicate the penguin pollution in the $$B_d^0 \rightarrow (J/\psi , \eta _c) f_1$$ B d 0 → ( J / ψ , η c ) f 1 decays cannot be neglected. We acknowledge that there are large theoretical uncertainties arising from the distribution amplitudes of axial-vector mesons and charmonium states, and more precise nonperturbative parameters are called. The comparisons between our results and future experimental data would help us to understand the nature of $$f_1$$ f 1 states and to test the PQCD approach.

In order to extract the absolute branching fractions, the study of $$\Omega ^0_c\rightarrow \Omega ^-\pi ^+$$ Ω c 0 → Ω - π + is needed. In this work, we predict $${{\mathcal {B}}}_\pi \equiv {{\mathcal {B}}}(\Omega _c^0\rightarrow \Omega ^-\pi ^+)=(5.1\pm 0.7)\times 10^{-3}$$ B π ≡ B ( Ω c 0 → Ω - π + ) = ( 5.1 ± 0.7 ) × 10 - 3 with the $$\Omega _c^0\rightarrow \Omega ^-$$ Ω c 0 → Ω - transition form factors calculated in the light-front quark model. We also predict $${{\mathcal {B}}}_\rho \equiv {{\mathcal {B}}}(\Omega _c^0\rightarrow \Omega ^-\rho ^+)=(14.4\pm 0.4)\times 10^{-3}$$ B ρ ≡ B ( Ω c 0 → Ω - ρ + ) = ( 14.4 ± 0.4 ) × 10 - 3 and $${{\mathcal {B}}}_e\equiv {{\mathcal {B}}}(\Omega _c^0\rightarrow \Omega ^-e^+\nu _e)=(5.4\pm 0.2)\times 10^{-3}$$ B e ≡ B ( Ω c 0 → Ω - e + ν e ) = ( 5.4 ± 0.2 ) × 10 - 3 . The previous values for $${{\mathcal {B}}}_\rho /{{\mathcal {B}}}_\pi $$ B ρ / B π have been found to deviate from the most recent observation. Nonetheless, our $${{\mathcal {B}}}_\rho /{{\mathcal {B}}}_\pi =2.8\pm 0.4$$ B ρ / B π = 2.8 ± 0.4 is able to alleviate the deviation. Moreover, we obtain $${{\mathcal {B}}}_e/{{\mathcal {B}}}_\pi =1.1\pm 0.2$$ B e / B π = 1.1 ± 0.2 , which is consistent with the current data.

We propose to search for such $$C\!P$$ C P asymmetries (1) in decays with $$\Lambda ^0$$ Λ 0 , $$\Sigma ^\pm $$ Σ ± , or $$\Lambda _c^+$$ Λ c + involved, such as $$\Lambda _b\rightarrow \Lambda ^0 D$$ Λ b → Λ 0 D and $$\Lambda _b\rightarrow \Lambda ^0\rho (770)^0$$ Λ b → Λ 0 ρ ( 770 ) 0 ; and (2) in three-body decays of bottom baryons with opposite parity intermediate resonances involved. Typical examples include $$\Xi _b^-\rightarrow p K^- K^-$$ Ξ b - → p K - K - , $$\Lambda _b^0\rightarrow p K_S\pi ^-$$ Λ b 0 → p K S π - and $$\Lambda _b^0\rightarrow p \pi ^0\pi ^-$$ Λ b 0 → p π 0 π - , in which the last decay channel is used as a toy model to illustrate the basic idea.

AbstractThe unitarity triangle (UT) plots played already for three decades an important role in the tests of the Standard Model (SM) and the determination of the CKM parameters. As of 2022, among the four CKM parameters, $$|V_{us}|$$ | V us | and $$\beta $$ β are already measured with respectable precision, while this is not the case of $$|V_{cb}|$$ | V cb | and $$\gamma $$ γ . In the case of $$|V_{cb}|$$ | V cb | the main obstacle are the significant tensions between its inclusive and exclusive determinations from tree-level decays and it could still take some years before a unique value of this parameter will be known. The present uncertainty in $$\gamma $$ γ of $$4^\circ $$ 4 ∘ from tree-level decays will be reduced to $$1^\circ $$ 1 ∘ by the LHCb and Belle II collaborations in the coming years. Unfortunately in the common UT plots $$|V_{cb}|$$ | V cb | is not seen and the experimental improvements in the determination of $$\gamma $$ γ from tree-level decays at the level of a few degrees are difficult to appreciate. In view of these deficiencies of the UT plots with respect to $$|V_{cb}|$$ | V cb | and $$\gamma $$ γ and the central role these two CKM parameters will play in this decade, the recently proposed plots of $$|V_{cb}|$$ | V cb | versus $$\gamma $$ γ extracted from various processes appear to be superior to the UT plots in the flavour phenomenology of the 2020s. We illustrate this idea with $$\Delta F=2$$ Δ F = 2 observables $$\Delta M_s$$ Δ M s , $$\Delta M_d$$ Δ M d , $$\varepsilon _K$$ ε K and with rare decays $$B_s\rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-$$ B s → μ + μ - , $$B_d\rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-$$ B d → μ + μ - , $$K^+\rightarrow \pi ^+\nu \bar{\nu }$$ K + → π + ν ν ¯ and $$K_L\rightarrow \pi ^0\nu \bar{\nu }$$ K L → π 0 ν ν ¯ . In particular the power of $$\varepsilon _K$$ ε K , $$\mathcal {B}(K^+\rightarrow \pi ^+\nu \bar{\nu })$$ B ( K + → π + ν ν ¯ ) and $$\mathcal {B}(K_L\rightarrow \pi ^0\nu \bar{\nu })$$ B ( K L → π 0 ν ν ¯ ) in the determination of $$|V_{cb}|$$ | V cb | , due to their strong dependence on $$|V_{cb}|$$ | V cb | , is transparently exhibited in this manner. Combined with future reduced errors on $$\gamma $$ γ and $$|V_{cb}|$$ | V cb | from tree-level decays such plots can better exhibit possible inconsistencies between various determinations of these two parameters, caused by new physics, than it is possible with the UT plots. This can already be illustrated on the example of the recently found $$2.7\sigma $$ 2.7 σ anomaly in $$B_s\rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-$$ B s → μ + μ - .

Abstract For the two-body Bc → BM decays, where Bc denotes the anti-triplet charm baryon and B(M) the octet baryon (meson), there exist two theoretical studies based on the SU(3) flavor [SU(3)f] symmetry. One is the irreducible SU(3)f approach (IRA). In the irreducible SU(3)f representation, the effective Hamiltonian related to the initial and final states forms the amplitudes for Bc → BM. The other is the topological-diagram approach (TDA), where the W-boson emission and W-boson exchange topologies are drawn and parameterized for the decays. As required by the group theoretical consideration, we present the same number of the IRA and TDA amplitudes. We can hence relate the two kinds of the amplitudes, and demonstrate the equivalence of the two SU(3)f approaches. We find a specific W-boson exchange topology only contributing to $$ {\Xi}_c^0 $$ Ξ c 0 →BM. Denoted by EM, it plays a key role in explaining $$ \mathcal{B} $$ B ($$ {\Xi}_c^0 $$ Ξ c 0 → Λ0$$ {K}_S^0 $$ K S 0 , Σ0$$ {K}_S^0 $$ K S 0 , Σ+K−). We consider that $$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$ Λ c + → nπ+ and $$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$ Λ c + → pπ0 proceed through the constructive and destructive interfering effects, respectively, which leads to $$ \mathcal{B} $$ B ($$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$ Λ c + → nπ+) » $$ \mathcal{B} $$ B ($$ {\Lambda}_c^{+} $$ Λ c + → pπ0) in agreement with the data. With the exact and broken SU(3)f symmetries, we predict the branching fractions of Bc→BM to be tested by future measurements.

AbstractIn the quark-diagram scheme, we study the charmed baryon decays of $$\mathbf{B}_c\rightarrow \mathbf{B}^* M$$ B c → B ∗ M , where $$\mathbf{B}_c$$ B c is $$\Lambda _c^+$$ Λ c + or $$\Xi _c^{+(0)}$$ Ξ c + ( 0 ) , together with $$\mathbf{B}^*$$ B ∗ (M) the decuplet baryon (pseudoscalar meson). It is found that only two W-exchange processes are allowed to contribute to $$\mathbf{B}_c\rightarrow \mathbf{B}^* M$$ B c → B ∗ M . Particularly, we predict $${\mathcal {B}}(\Lambda _c^+ \rightarrow \Sigma ^{*0(+)} \pi ^{+(0)})=(2.8\pm 0.4)\times 10^{-3}$$ B ( Λ c + → Σ ∗ 0 ( + ) π + ( 0 ) ) = ( 2.8 ± 0.4 ) × 10 - 3 , which respects the isospin symmetry. Besides, we take into account the SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking, in order to explain the observation of $${\mathcal {B}}(\Lambda _c^+\rightarrow \Sigma ^{*+}\eta )$$ B ( Λ c + → Σ ∗ + η ) . For the decays involving $$\Delta ^{++}(uuu)$$ Δ + + ( u u u ) , we predict $${\mathcal {B}}(\Lambda _c^+\rightarrow \Delta ^{++} \pi ^-,\Xi _c^+ \rightarrow \Delta ^{++} K^-) =(7.0\pm 1.4,13.5\pm 2.7)\times 10^{-4}$$ B ( Λ c + → Δ + + π - , Ξ c + → Δ + + K - ) = ( 7.0 ± 1.4 , 13.5 ± 2.7 ) × 10 - 4 as the largest branching fractions in the singly Cabibbo-suppressed $$\Lambda _c^+,\Xi _c^+\rightarrow \mathbf{B}^*M$$ Λ c + , Ξ c + → B ∗ M decay channels, respectively, which are accessible to the LHCb, BELLEII and BESIII experiments.

AbstractBased on the scenario that the $$K_0^*(1430)$$ K 0 ∗ ( 1430 ) is viewed as the ground state of $$s\bar{q}$$ s q ¯ or $$q\bar{s}$$ q s ¯ , we study the $$K_0^*(1430)$$ K 0 ∗ ( 1430 ) leading-twist distribution amplitude (DA) $$\phi _{2;K_0^*}(x,\mu )$$ ϕ 2 ; K 0 ∗ ( x , μ ) with the QCD sum rules in the framework of background field theory. A more reasonable sum rule formula for $$\xi $$ ξ -moments $$\langle \xi ^n\rangle _{2;K_0^*}$$ ⟨ ξ n ⟩ 2 ; K 0 ∗ is suggested, which eliminates the influence brought by the fact that the sum rule of $$\langle \xi ^0_p\rangle _{3;K_0^*}$$ ⟨ ξ p 0 ⟩ 3 ; K 0 ∗ cannot be normalized in whole Borel region. More accurate values of the first ten $$\xi $$ ξ -moments, $$\langle \xi ^n\rangle _{2;K_0^*} (n = 1,2,\ldots ,10)$$ ⟨ ξ n ⟩ 2 ; K 0 ∗ ( n = 1 , 2 , … , 10 ) , are evaluated. A new light-cone harmonic oscillator (LCHO) model for $$K_0^*(1430)$$ K 0 ∗ ( 1430 ) leading-twist DA is established for the first times. By fitting the resulted values of $$\langle \xi ^n\rangle _{2;K_0^*} (n = 1,2,\ldots ,10)$$ ⟨ ξ n ⟩ 2 ; K 0 ∗ ( n = 1 , 2 , … , 10 ) via the least squares method, the behavior of $$K_0^*(1430)$$ K 0 ∗ ( 1430 ) leading-twist DA described with LCHO model is determined. Further, by adopting the light-cone QCD sum rules, we calculate the $$B_s,D_s \rightarrow K_0^*(1430)$$ B s , D s → K 0 ∗ ( 1430 ) transition form factors and branching fractions of the semileptonic decays $$B_s,D_s \rightarrow K_0^*(1430) \ell \nu _\ell $$ B s , D s → K 0 ∗ ( 1430 ) ℓ ν ℓ . The corresponding numerical results can be used to extract the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements by combining the relative experimental data in the future.
