Full textSince the demise of Champa kingdoms during the 19th century, the Cham language that originated and developed from the 2nd century, is no longer really used among the descendants of the Champa. The lack of transmission of knowledge and documents of the Cham culture makes the study of this language difficult for epigraphists and historians. Therefore, the ANR CHAMDOC project aims to preserve and provide tools for studying the Cham language. In this thesis, we focused on the analysis of two types of Cham documents namely: inscriptions, which were engraved on stone steles, from 6th to 15th century; manuscripts dating from the 18th century. Some work on the digitization of inscriptions has started but no study has really been carried out. The collection of manuscripts, for its part, has never been exploited. These two collections offer many challenges for the scientific community. During this work, we propose a complete pipeline for the automatic processing of these documents. This is based on different DIA techniques. The challenges encountered come from the characteristics of the documents themselves, but also from the linguistic specificities of Cham. An analysis of these characteristics has been carried out in order to propose solutions adapted to inscriptions and manuscripts

Full textThe language area in a bamileke chiefdom is a monograph on one of the hundred chiefdoms which are located in the center west of camerron. It is called bangoua and it has six thousand inhabitants. This monograph consists of five parts, namely: the history of the chiefdom, the kinship system, the way society is organised, economical development and social structure. The historical data shows that this society was made up by the progressive overlapping of a segmentary lineage system and chieftain-centred political organisation. The independant analysis of these two institutions reveals that, although they both have the same basic structure, beliefs and economical activities promoted by the kinship system and the political organisation are quite different. The dichotomy between structure and self concept (meaning) explains that the bangoua were able to have two kinds of beliefs and two different economical practises without this causing unbearable congtradictions. The constant switching between the kinship system belief and those of the political organisation is one of the main factor infuencing the bangoua's adaptation to a western-system economy. The bamileke dynamism has been explained by demographic growth and their geographical situation, but it has been proven with other tribes (cf. Kirdi of north cameroon) that, when these two conditions exist, the society does not become necesseraly enterprising

We have studied the first component of the literary communication : writers, novels publishing and the journalistic reception. We have studied to the social, cultural and morphology of the writers who begin to produce novels since 1970. Their relationship to the writing and to representation of the literary activity in general. Putting in front pictures of the writer and the novels, malek haddad and kateb yacine. Full textThis study aims at analysing various lexical, morphosyntactic and semantic aspects of one among several obstacles arising when studying a foreing language : time-honoured metaphorical expressions. The scope of research has been restricted to the specific field of music, comparaisons being made between French and Italian. A statistical study on the corpuses investigates the settling phenomenon from all terms of this music-specific lexical area to the field of figures of speech. Correlations with classes of lexemes in standard language allow a better appreciation of their metaphorical originality. Cutting out according to various levels of language qualifies these somehow mathematical considerations. The observation of morpho-syntactic structures along a Chomsky-inspired approach reveals how regular and simple these structures are. The only original feature would be a certain partiality for some of them. The examination of the mechanisms of semantic transfers proceeds from data resulting from the morpho-syntactic analysis. Semic analysis of literal utterances make us understand significant distorsions in the perception of voiced occurrences. The sphere of affectivity constitutes the essential of the signified. Phonetism in expressions follows disclosed semantic orientations. The two languages stand apart more through modalities of derision than through a different use of referents. The symbolic substrate erases, through its diachronic depth, the occasional gap between two languages. The study closes on didactical suggestions

Full textThe Kurdish field of literature which uses a dominated language is questioned here inside the frame of the territorialized language conflict in Turkey. This conflict places front to front two nationalisms with contradictory views regarding identities and territories. So first we question the Turkish State language policies concerning the Kurdish language and the territory to which it refers. Face to face to those policies, there stand the Kurdish politic movements whose one of the functions is to define a national identity and its possible link with the language. In that frame, the Kurdish literary products are questioned, as well as their organization by the actors, inside a national identity in permanent re-production. Therefore we examine in which way, inside the conflict, a Kurdish literary field, with its plural territories, will emerge and get autonomous; and which are the literary and non-literary objectives aimed at by that field

Full textThis research examines the conditions of possibilities within and the routes of entry of the African authors into the comic field of the French-speaking Europe. The dissertation employs a sociological approach by making, firstly, an institutional analysis of the conditions of production, circulation and reception, as well as the sociability in the local contexts, in particular in the French-speaking countries of sub-Saharan Africa. The examination of the modalities of publication in the edition or in the press, of the associations of authors, festivals and other promotional initiatives, and of the possibilities offered by associations and institutions, shows that local authors have to realize their artistic vocation and their professional projects in poorly organized and unfavourable environments. Of course, this state of things requires agents to exercise their greater or lesser skill in adapting to it and making it play to the advantage of their professional career, but it also prompts a number of authors to consider the publication in the European field as the goal towards which to focus their efforts and strategies. The general problem of entry is the angle of attack of the second part, which draws on Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of fields to analyse the trajectories of the few African comics authors who managed to achieve a certain legitimation in European environments, namely Congolese Barly Baruti and Pat Masioni and the Ivorian Marguerite Abouet, as well as some other significant paths. The notions of habitus, strategy, periphery, autonomy and heteronomy, but also antinomy have helped to illuminate these paths. The theory of fields, which emphasizes the social conditions relating to the creation, circulation and consumption of symbolic goods and the institutions involved in the "mise en act" of the artistic-cultural object, in order to understand the position in the society of reference, was instrumental in understanding the importance of several factors: the impact of associations and of the international institutions; autonomy as a second step or eventually as a decisive phase, determining the entrance from the beginning; the “instances of legitimation”
