Abstract:
Background- Stress is a word derived from the Latin word ‘stringere’, meaning ‘to draw tight’. Stress is the nonspecific response of the body to any demand, whether it is caused by, or results in, pleasant or unpleasant conditions. Objective- To assess the level of stress, the knowledge regarding stress management among cancer patients, to find out the correlation between level of stress and knowledge of cancer patients regarding stress management, to find out the association between level of stress of cancer patients regarding stress management with their selected socio demographic variables and to find out the association between knowledge of cancer patients with their selected socio demographic variables in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Centre, Agartala, West Tripura. Subjects & methods- Quantitative, descriptive approach was used in this research study to assess the stress and knowledge regarding stress management among 80 (Eighty) cancer patients who attended Out Patient Department, Chemo therapy, Radiation therapy units of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Centre, Agartala, West Tripura. Their socio demographic data was analyzed. Modified Perceived Stress Scale was used to assess the stress regarding stress management among cancer patients. Structured knowledge questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge regarding stress management among cancer patients. Results- Among 80 (Eighty) cancer patients, 35% were from the age group of 50-59 years with male predominance with prevalence of Lung Cancer. 81% of cancer patients had severe stress. 41% of cancer patients had inadequate level of knowledge regarding stress management. There was significant correlation between level of stress and knowledge regarding stress management among cancer patients. The study findings also revealed that there was significant association between level of stress with their selected socio demographic variables except religion and there was significant association between knowledge of cancer patients regarding stress management with their selected socio demographic variables except religion, marital status, type of family, site of cancer at 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion- The findings of the study revealed that there was a perfect negative correlation between level of stress and knowledge among cancer patients regarding stress management. Abstract:
The City of Veranda of Mecca is the nickname for the City of Padang Panjang which can be interpreted as a road or gate to the City of Mecca. Along with the times, the nickname began to fade and experience a shift and even a decline in the understanding of Islam itself. Efforts to anticipate this, there is a desire to increase the religious values of the community by building an Islamic Center Area that is adequate and representative for a city scale with various supporting facilities needed, one of which is the Socio-Cultural Building in the Islamic Center Area of Padang Panjang City. The purpose of this research is to study and apply the planning aspects of high-rise buildings with reinforced concrete structures to be applied in a high-rise building construction design and to compare the dimensions and reinforcement in the planning with the results obtained from the author's analysis. At the time of doing the research the writer got some data such as column data, beams, floor slabs and other data from planners and data obtained directly by the author. In the data analysis method, the writer conducted a planning analysis and comparative evaluation of the structure of the Socio-Cultural Building in the Islamic Center area of Padang Panjang City using ETABS version 18 software. In terms of beam reinforcement, there are several significant differences. In the analysis of column calculations, in column K1 the dimensions and reinforcement become larger, column K2 has the same dimensions as the planner but the reinforcement is larger, columns K3 and K4 produce the same dimensions and reinforcement as the planning data. The calculation of the floor slab does not change, but in the calculation of the roof slab there is a difference between the thickness of the slab and the planning data. Abstract:
Esta investigación se centra en la formación de los profesores en todos los contextos educativos para enseñar el español como segunda lengua (EL2) a inmigrantes. Se realiza en el marco de un proyecto I+D (EDU2013-43868-P), titulado “La formación de los docentes de español para inmigrantes en diferentes contextos educativos”. Los sujetos participantes en el estudio son 151 profesores de distintos contextos educativos en España: Universidad, Educación Primaria y Secundaria, aulas ATAL o de enlace, Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas, academias y asociaciones humanitarias. El instrumento de investigación es un cuestionario compuesto por 47 ítems, diseñados para valorar la formación específica recibida y la capacidad real para enseñar el español a inmigrantes. El análisis de datos se realiza con el programa estadístico SPSS y se aplican las técnicas de análisis descriptivo y de inferencia. Los resultados confirman que los docentes necesitan y reclaman una mayor formación específica que varía en su temática en función de la experiencia del profesor y de su centro de trabajo. Los profesores que han impartido español solo a alumnos nativos no son conscientes de las diferencias que implica la enseñanza a inmigrantes. No se han encontrado estudios previos que midan la formación y la capacidad real de los profesores para enseñar el español a inmigrantes. Consideramos que el presente estudio es pionero en este campo, además de relevante, porque la adquisición de la competencia comunicativa en español es la vía más eficaz para la integración social y cultural de los inmigrantes.

Abstract. Lasem Station Architecture Viewed from Historical Archaeological Approach. At the end of the 19th century, Lasem Station was built by the Semarang-Joana Stoomtram Maatschappij (SJS) as a railway line connecting Semarang and Lasem. Despite existing studies pertaining to Lasem, research on the specific architecture of the Lasem Station remains limited. Through a historical archaeological approach, this investigation seeks to dissect fundamental elements such as the physical form, architectural style, and the social and cultural background of the construction of Lasem Station during the colonial era. Data were procured through field observations, archival document analysis (including historical documents, old maps, and photographs from that era), interviews, and relevant secondary references. The research findings indicate that the Lasem Station played a vital role in connecting the production sector with the trading center, facilitating the conveyance of commodities such as teak wood, tobacco, and sugar from inland regions to the coastal area, thereby establishing the station as a centre of distribution and economic activity within the city of Lasem. This research also sheds light on the relocation of the station’s position westward of Lasem City, which improved the distribution of goods and railway maintenance. The Lasem Station, as a historical legacy of SJS, boasts a grand colonial architectural style, characterized by curved ornamentation above Romanesque-style doors, the use of wide windows and doors, and a gabled roof design. Despite experiencing modifications primarily in the canopy, the original elements, such as floors, walls, and roofs, have been preserved, maintaining their authenticity. Overall, this study unveils the role of the railway route and spatial arrangement of the Lasem Station in reshaping the economic dynamics and urban structure, while the architecture of Lasem Station reflects a rich cultural and historical heritage. These architectural elements can reflects the colonial influence and the socio-economic dynamics of the era. Pada akhir abad 19, Stasiun Lasem dibangun oleh Semarang-Joana Stoomtram Maatschappij (SJS) sebagai jalur yang menghubungkan antara Semarang dan Lasem. Kajian tentang Lasem sudah banyak dilakukan, akan tetapi penelitian arsitektur khusus Stasiun Lasem masih terbatas. Melalui pendekatan arkeologi kesejarahan, penelitian ini berupaya mengurai elemen-elemen fundamental, seperti bentuk fisik, gaya arsitektur, serta latar belakang sosial dan budaya dalam pembangunan Stasiun Lasem pada era kolonial. Data diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, analisis dokumen arsip (termasuk dokumen sejarah, peta lama, dan fotografi era tersebut), wawancara, dan referensi sekunder yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Stasiun Lasem memainkan peran vital dalam menghubungkan sektor produksi dengan pusat perdagangan, memudahkan komoditas, seperti kayu jati, tembakau, dan gula dipindahkan dari pedalaman menuju pesisir, dan menjadikan stasiun tersebut sebagai pusat distribusi dan aktivitas ekonomi di Kota Lasem. Penelitian ini juga menyoroti perpindahan posisi stasiun ke barat Kota Lasem yang memperlancar distribusi barang dan pemeliharaan rel kereta api. Stasiun Lasem, sebagai peninggalan sejarah SJS memiliki gaya arsitektur kolonial yang megah dengan ornamentasi lengkung di atas pintu berlanggam romawi, penggunaan jendela dan pintu yang lebar, serta gaya atap dengan tipe gables. Meskipun mengalami modifikasi terutama kanopi, elemen-elemen asli seperti lantai, dinding, dan atap tetap terjaga, sehingga masih terlihat keasliannya. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini mengungkapkan peran jalur kereta api dan tata letak Stasiun Lasem dalam mengubah dinamika ekonomi dan struktur kota, sementara arsitektur Stasiun Lasem merefleksikan warisan budaya dan sejarah yang kaya. Elemen-elemen arsitektural tersebut dapat mencerminkan pengaruh kolonial dan dinamika sosial ekonomi pada periode tersebut. Abstract:
ABSTRACTBackground: Tinnitus is believed to cause significant psychological distress leading to impairment in quality of life (QOL). Purpose: To assess the negative impact of tinnitus on patient’s QOL and discuss the management approach of tinnitus patient. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted within one year duration on 88 patients who experienced tinnitus. Patients from Otorhinolaryngology clinic, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC) were evaluated based on socio-demographic data, clinical data and QOL. QOL was assessed using Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI), a self-report questionnaire measuring 3 domains of QOL: functional, emotional and catastrophic scales. Result: Respondents consisted of 35 males (39.8%) and 53 females (60.2%), with mean age of 57.9±13.9 years old. Pure tone audiometry should be done at least once during the follow up period. Patients with persistent tinnitus had significantly higher mean THI total scores (p=0.042) and emotional subscale score (p=0.037) compared to patients with intermittent tinnitus. However, there were no significant associations between gender, duration of tinnitus and laterality of tinnitus with patient’s THI score. Discussion: All patients should have good history taking, proper physical examination and investigation. Those without the primary cause of tinnitus would be given tinnitus activity treatment by good counselling on tinnitus. Patient with vascular disorder would be given conservative treatment. Conclusion: Magnetic resonance imaging was indicated in asymmetrical hearing loss with tinnitus. Computed tomography scan with contrast was indicated when there is pulsatile tinnitus with/without abnormal ear finding. Patients with high grades THI questionnaire would be referred to psychiatrist for further assessment. ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Tinitus diyakini dapat menyebabkan stress psikologi yang signifikan sehingga mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas hidup seseorang (Quality of Life / QOL). Tujuan: Menilai dampak negatif tinitus pada kualitas hidup penderita dan merencanakan penatalaksanaannya. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi potong lintang pada 88 penderita tinitus selama satu tahun. Penderita yang datang ke unit rawat jalan Telinga Hidung Tenggorok Bedah Kepala dan Leher (THT-KL), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC) dilakukan evaluasi berdasarkan data demografi, data klinis dan QOL. Quality of life dinilai menggunakan Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI), kuesioner tentang penderita yang mengukur 3 domain QOL: skala fungsional, emosional dan katastropik. Hasil: Responden terdiri dari 35 laki-laki (39,8%) dan 53 perempuan (60,2%), dengan rerata usia 57.9±13.9 tahun. Audiometri nada murni perlu dilakukan minimal satu kali selama periode penelitian. Penderita dengan tinitus persisten secara signifikan memiliki nilai rata-rata THI yang lebih tinggi (p=0.042) dan nilai emotional subscale (p=0.037) dibandingkan dengan penderita tinitus intermiten. Tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kelamin, durasi tinitus dan lateralisasi tinitus dengan nilai THI penderita. Diskusi: Semua penderita diperlukan anamnesis yang baik dan pemeriksaan fisik yang menyeluruh. Penderita tanpa penyebab primer dari tinitusnya akan diberikan terapi konseling tinitus yang baik. Penderita dengan gangguan pembuluh darah akan diberikan pengobatan konservatif. Kesimpulan: Magnetic resonance imaging perlu dilakukan pada gangguan pendengaran satu sisi dengan tinitus. Computed tomography scan dengan kontras dilakukan pada tinitus pulsatil dengan atau tanpa kelainan pada telinga. Pada pendertita dengan nilai kuesioner THI yang tinggi akan dirujuk ke psikiater untuk penilaian lebih lanjut.

<div><p><strong>Abstract :</strong> This paper attempts to consider how the history of world religions, including the history of Islamic civilization, always have, through and documenting the cultural encounter, i.e. the relationship between center and periphery and the experience of the encounter in the frontier. Two-ways relationship shaping a dyadic pattern, that is the encounter of Muslim with the local culture in which the regional and national states dimensions is being ignored, or vice versa, and also an encounter of Muslim with the nation states which forgetting the aspirations and local culture, yet to meet and to relate the two with international issues, either an encounter of religion and international community as well, is almost impossible to bring about the new problems within the dynamics of the global era today. Abstract:
The number of slum settlements in Jakarta has increased dramatically, according to the Central Statistics Agency, slum settlements in Jakarta in 2017 were 14.55%, in 2018, 14.33% and in 2019 the number rose drastically to 42.73%. These slum settlements increase the potential for many diseases, such as dysentery, diarrhea, tuberculosis, malaria and typhus. These diseases not only cost the country 50 trillion, but also contribute to 88 percent of child deaths in Indonesia. One of the settlements in West Jakarta that has health problems is Kalianyar. The population density and building density in this village are very high. This results in poor environmental sanitation, air circulation and natural lighting in residential areas that are built close together. The high morbidity rate has an impact on the quality of life in this village. This paper presents the results of qualitative research on the physical condition of the environment and the socio-economic and health aspects of slum dwellers in Kalianyar. The aim of the study is to produce solutions to the problems mentioned above using an urban acupuncture approach. The analysis carried out resulted in solutions in the form of providing a community forum which in addition to being a place for education and community interaction, also became an integrated clinic facility, to improve public health in Kalianyar. Keywords: Diseases; Slums; Urban Acupuncture; Wellness Centre Abstrak Jumlah pemukiman kumuh di Jakarta naik drastis, menurut Badan Pusat Statistik, pemukiman kumuh di Jakarta pada tahun 2017 adalah 14.55%, pada tahun 2018, 14.33%dan pada tahun 2019 angka naik dengan drastis ke 42.73%. Pemukiman yang kumuh ini meningkatkan potensi terjadinya banyak penyakit, seperti disentri, diare, tuberculosis, malaria dan tifus. Penyakit-penyakit ini tidak hanya merugikan negara sejumlah 50 Triliun, tetapi juga berkontribusi sebanyak 88 persen kematian anak di Indonesia. Salah satu permukiman di Jakarta Barat yang mengalami masalah kesehatan adalah Kelurahan Kalianyar. Kepadatan penduduk dan kepadatan bangunan di kelurahan ini sangat tinggi. Hal ini mengakibatkan buruknya sanitasi lingkungan, sirkulasi udara dan pencahayaan alami di hunian penduduk yang dibangun berdempetan. Angka morbiditas yang tinggi berdampak pada kualitas kehidupan di kelurahan ini. Tulisan ini mengangkat hasil riset kualitatif tentang kondisi fisik lingkungan dan aspek sosial ekonomi dan kesehatan warga penghuni pemukiman kumuh di Kalianyar. Tujuan studi adalah untuk menghasilkan solusi permasalahan tersebut di atas dengan pendekatan urban akupuntur. Analisis yang dilakukan menghasilkan usulan solusi dalam bentuk penyediaan wadah komunitas yang selain menjadi tempat edukasi dan interaksi warga juga menjadi fasilitas klinik terpadu, untuk meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat di Kelurahan Kalianyar.

Abstract:
The Covid-19 pandemic had a dangerous impact on early-childhood education, lost learning in almost all aspects of child development. The house-to-house learning, with the name Moving Home Learning Program (MHLP), is an attractive offer as an emergency remote teaching solution. This study aims to describe the application of MHLP designed by early-childhood education institutions during the learning process at home. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. The respondents involved in the interview were a kindergarten principal and four teachers. The research data were analyzed using the data content analysis. The Findings show that the MHLP has proven to be sufficiently in line with the learning needs of early childhood during the Covid-19 pandemic. Although, the application of the MHLP learning model has limitations such as the distance from the house that is far away, the number of meetings that are only once a week, the number of food and toy sellers passing by, disturbing children's concentration, and the risk of damage to goods at home. The implication of this research can be the basis for evaluating MHLP as an adaptive strategy that requires the attention of related parties, including policy makers, school principals, and teachers for the development of new, more effective online learning models. Abstract:
Abstract Objective : To identify socio-demographic and nutritional determinant associated with birth weight in coastal areas. Method : A cross sectional study using simple random sampling method. Data of labour in coastal areas of Kendari City was analyzed. Total of 215 women who aterm delivery in Community Health Centre of Mata, Nambo and Abeli on January to December 2016 were included in this study. Birth weight was examined in association with independent variable as maternal age, education, occupation, husband’s job, parity, antenatal care, iron tablets consumption and upper arm circumference. Results : Most participants were aged 20-25 years old, primary education, as housewife, multiparity and husband work as self-employed. There was 8.9% low birth weight in coastal areas. Maternal age, education and ANC visits were significantly associated with birth weight (p < 0.05). Consumption of iron tablets and upper arm circumference were significantly associated with birth weight (p < 0.05). Conclusion :Maternal age, education and ANC visits were socio-demographic determinant that associated with birth weight. Iron tablets consumption and upper arm circumference were nutritional determinant that significantly associated with birth weight. Keywords : age, antenatal care, birth weight, education, iron tablets, upper arm circumference Abstrak Tujuan :Mengidentifikasi determinan sosio-demografik dan gizi yang berhubungan dengan berat badan lahir bayi di daerah pesisir. Metode :Penelitian potong lintangdengan pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling. Dilakukan analisis terhadap 215 ibu hamil yang melahirkan bayi cukup bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mata, Nambo dan Abelipada bulan Januari sampai Desember 2016. Varia beli independen berupa usia ibu, tingkat pendidikan, pekerjaan, pekerjaan suami, paritas, antenatal care, konsumsi tablet besi dan ukuran lingkar lengan atas. Hasil :Responden terbanyak berusia 20-25tahun, berpendidikan rendah, bekerja sebagai ibu rumah tangga, multiparitas dan pekerjaan suami wiraswasta. Terdapat8,9% bayi BBLR. Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara usia ibu, tingkat pendidikan dan ANC dengan BBL (p < 0.05). Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara konsumsi tablet besi dan ukuran LILA dengan BBL (p < 0.05). Kesimpulan :Determinan sosio-demografik yang berhubungan dengan BBL adalah usia, tingkat pendidikan, dan ANC. Sedangkan determinan gizi yang berhubungan dengan BBL adalah konsumsi tablet besi dan ukuran LILA. Kata kunci: ANC, BBL, LILA, pendidikan, tablet besi, usia

Abstract:
This paper examines the presence of the Portuguese community in Antwerp, after the conquest of the city by the troops of Philip II and the embargo imposed on trade with the United Provinces of the Netherlands. From 1585 onwards, there is an increase in the migration of merchants to neighbouring cities, such as Amsterdam. In general, Portuguese historiography has payed particular attention to the Portuguese who leave Antwerp for new mercantile centres, and to their contribution to business in these new places. However, Antwerp retained some weight as a financial market, and several Portuguese merchants remained in the city. The chronology under study comprises two time slots: 1596 and 1606. The results of the analysis reveal that in this period there is an adaptation of their commercial practices, with new business opportunities. In Antwerp, we see how the Portuguese and Castilian empires intersect, and the way Portuguese merchants benefit from it. Based on information from notarial acts such as powers of attorney, bills of exchange, settlement briefs and wills, this work identifies merchants, their business partners, transit and trading places, different kinds of economic activities they carry out, but also whom they marry, their heirs, how their family ties are woven. The result is a socio-economic profile of the Portuguese community in Antwerp around the turn of the 16th century.

Empreendemos esta reflexão para identificar o agir do tutor em Educação a Distância (EaD), especificamente o vinculado à Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB), nas representações construídas sobre seu trabalho no estado da arte relativo a seu papel nos últimos dez anos no Brasil. A metodologia utilizada é a compreensiva/interpretativa, inspirada no Interacionismo Socio-Discursivo (ISD) (BRONCKART, 2008), e por meio desse escopo teórico buscamos caracterizar, na produção científica encontrada, o gênero de atividade profissional do trabalho do tutor da EaD. Essa reflexão nos leva a entender: a) a representação do agir dos tutores a distância da EaD como profissionais cientes de sua relevância e das prescrições para sua função; b) que o papel do tutor, ainda em construção em seu métier profissional, é imprescindível na atual configuração da EaD em nosso país; c) a necessidade de políticas públicas direcionadas a esse professor/mediador, visto é um dos maiores responsáveis pelo ensino e aprendizagem na modalidade de ensino a distância no Brasil.

O presente artigo busca mostrar mudança do paradigma centro-periferia através da análise da dinâmica ocorrida na periferia geográfica de São Carlos, cidade brasileira de porte médio. Este trabalho faz parte de uma pesquisa maior que procura entender o atual processo de apropriação do espaço urbano das cidades médias no estado de São Paulo, Brasil. Com dados estatísticos georreferenciados, utilizou-se como variáveis de análise a renda familiar, a densidade demográfica e a tipologia habitacional, destacando-se especialmente dois movimentos – o da implantação dos conjuntos habitacionais de interesse social, destinados à população de baixa renda, e o da implantação de loteamentos habitacionais com controle de acesso, destinados à população de média-alta e alta rendas. Como resultado da pesquisa, foram identificadas novas formas de segregação socioespacial. This article aims to show the paradigm change center-periphery through an analysis of the current dynamics that occurred in the geographical periphery of Sao Carlos, Brazil midsize city. This work is part of a larger research that seeks to understand the current process of appropriation of the urban space of the medium-sized cities in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. With geo-referenced statistical data, it is used as analysis variables household income, population density and housing typology, highlighting especially two movements - the deployment of housing of social interest, for the low-income population, the deployment and of housing developments with access control, to the population of medium-high and high rents. As a result of the research, new forms of socio-spatial segregation were identified.
