Abstract:
Translation is a par excellence cultural communication and translators are agents of cultural transfer by means of language. Literary texts provide the translator with a higher grade of freedom than any other type of texts because of the self-referentiality of art encoded in language. Decoding the original and creating a new body in a different referential system are individual hermeneutic acts of the translator. Deciphering an author’s world is a step closer to the heart of the source culture and an ever-open language-game. The challenges I met translating Irene Solà’s novel gave me a special insight to Catalan culture and the English, Italian and Spanish translations gave me the opportunity to study other translation strategies. This essay is the first in the series of traductography essays centred on the Catalan-Hungarian intercultural communication revealing the processes in the black-box of the translator’s mind that on the one hand can serve as a guide to Catalan culture and, on the other hand, as a basis for further translatology research.

Abstract:
The European ballad, an orally-performed narrative song, developed in the medieval period with many cross-fertilizations among ballad types in various language areas. Nevertheless, to date there have appeared only a handful of comparative studies of these pan-european themes, with investigations dominated by the Finnish geographical school, whose primary interest is in finding genetic archetypes. In this study, my aim is, rather, to do a typological and stylistic analysis of one wide-circulating song-type, known in many variants throughout the continent, some in comic and others in tragic versions. The ballad I shall analyze appears in Hungarian in several variants as "A megcsalt ferj," in Anglo-American tradition - recorded in over 400 variants – the ballad is known as "Our Goodman," or "The Cuckold's Song," or, in more blatantly obscene versions as "The Old Man Came Home" and "Home Drunk Cam' I". There also exist Spanish, Catalan, French, Italian, and even Yiddish versions, all of which I shall be taking into consideration.

Abstract:
The Gesta Hungarorum is a valuable source of the early history of Europe and Hungary. As a result, several translations in addition to the Hungarian have been published: Romanian, German, Slovak, Polish, Catalan, English, Russian, etc. While some questions regarding the translation of the personal names used by Anonymous are predictable, a comprehensive understanding can only be reached through a complete comparison of all data. Thus, data collection is the first step of research. The current study examines the use of personal names in the English and Romanian translations. Aspects connected to translation are systematised based on the various levels of their context. A detailed analysis of the data brings new aspects to the fore that highlight questions connected not only to the text of the Gesta itself but translation in general. Thus this study is useful not only to a small group of scholars but any who face challenges in the translation of names.

Reproductive medicine is actively developing, and new methods, drugs, and protocols are being developed and introduced for the treatment of infertility. Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) are the most effective methods. In ART protocols, ovarian stimulation (OS) is based on gonadotropin use. The choice of the starting dose of gonadotropin is a critical factor in the successful OS and the effectiveness of ART programs. The article describes the development history of gonadotropins and provides current data on their use in ART programs. The use of biosimilars of follitropin alfa in OS is discussed, and the effectiveness of its Russian biosimilar is also addressed. Adolescence is established as an important stage in the human being, we try to show how positive or negative this stage can be in the development of an adequate environment, elucidating the benefits or consequences that can affect the psychomotor development of a person. Adolescence is the time when the personality of an individual is defined, influenced by various factors that can help the subject to develop adequately in society, as well as factors that can affect the subject conditioning him/her to an environment that is not favorable for his/her development. Both physical and psychological changes are mentioned, as well as hormonal factors which play an important role in development. It is intended to demonstrate the hormonal mechanisms that condition the changes in the development of the human being. Abstract:
Big data technology has been widely used in entrepreneurial research in recent years. To explore the development trend and fundamental characteristics of big data in entrepreneurship (BDIE) research, we conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of BDIE based on 541 publications between 1993 and 2020 from Web of Science. On the one hand, this paper focuses on some essential characteristics of the BDIE publications, such as categories, citation, H-index, and the most cited publications. On the other hand, visual scientific maps are presented by bibliometric tools, i.e., Bibliometrix, VOS viewer, and CorTexT Manager, showing relationships between publications and knowledge structure in BDIE research. Finally, hot topics in current studies, knowledge, and limitations are discussed, guiding scholars to explore new research directions. This paper provides a relatively broad perspective for applying BDIE research, which contributes to understanding the evolution of BDIE research and inspires scholars in related fields. Abstract:
To correctly interpret a message, people must attend to the context in which it was produced. Here we investigate how this process, known as pragmatic reasoning, is guided by two universal forces in human communication: incrementality and efficiency, with speakers of all languages interpreting language incrementally and making the most efficient use of the incoming information. Crucially, however, the interplay between these two forces results in speakers of different languages having different pragmatic information available at each point in processing, including inferences about speaker intentions. In particular, the position of adjectives relative to nouns (e.g., “black lamp” vs. “lamp black”) makes visual context information available in reverse orders. In an eye-tracking study comparing four unrelated languages that have been understudied with regard to language processing (Catalan, Hindi, Hungarian, and Wolof), we show that speakers of languages with an adjective–noun order integrate context by first identifying properties (e.g., color, material, or size), whereas speakers of languages with a noun–adjective order integrate context by first identifying kinds (e.g., lamps or chairs). Most notably, this difference allows listeners of adjective–noun descriptions to infer the speaker’s intention when using an adjective (e.g., “the black…” as implying “not the blue one”) and anticipate the target referent, whereas listeners of noun–adjective descriptions are subject to temporary ambiguity when deriving the same interpretation. We conclude that incrementality and efficiency guide pragmatic reasoning across languages, with different word orders having different pragmatic affordances.

Abstract:
Global climate change and ecological environment destruction have become global problems that cannot be ignored. As the largest developing country, China faces the reality of emission reduction from the international community and the pressure of domestic environmental protection. Based on the policy process of carbon peak and carbon neutrality in China, the allocation and use of carbon peak policy tools in China are analyzed by using the Multiple-Streams Approach, and some insights are proposed, hoping to provide some thinking for related research. The initiation of China’s carbon peak and carbon neutrality policy agenda is inseparable from concerns about Problem Streams, discussions on policy streams, and the promotion of Political Streams, as well as the help of policy entrepreneurs. In the future, in the process of continuously promoting carbon peaking and carbon neutrality policies, China should be problem-oriented, continuously optimize policy guidelines, continue to deepen the political environment and promote comprehensive green transformation and sustainable economic and social development with "Double carbon" policies. Abstract:
Background COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The most recent study showed that there was a possible correlation between ABO blood types and COVID-19 risk. However, some studies disproved the correlation. The contradiction indicated that the correlation between the two variables has not been established. Objective To find the correlation between ABO blood types and the severity of COVID-19. Methods It applied an observational-analytic method with a retrospective cohort approach. It used secondary data from 2020-2021 in Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta. Samples were taken using a consecutive sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26. Univariate analysis was made using descriptive statistics. Sequentially, bivariate and multivariate analyses were made using chi-square, odds-ratio, relative-risk, and ordinal logistic regression analysis. Results There were 212 data. Blood type O got the biggest percentage (38.2%) with a sample of 81 individuals. There were 88 patients with severe symptoms (41.5%), 86 patients with moderate symptoms (40.6%), and 38 patients with mild symptoms (17.9%). The Chi-square analysis of ABO blood types and the severity of COVID-19 was 0.05 (?0.05). The blood type B had a 2.8 times higher probability of severe incidence (95% CI 0.618–12.16) than the non-B blood type. Meanwhile, blood type O had a 0.33 times lower probability of severe incidence (95% CI 0.618–12.16) than non-O blood type. Conclusion The ABO blood types correlated with COVID-19 severity. Blood type O became a protective factor, and blood type B is the risk factor for severe COVID-19. Abstract:
This article attempts to provide insight into the long-standing subject of Western Sahara through analysis and criticism. In comparison, all international and regional efforts failed to resolve this situation. That has remained constant since 1975. As a result, this paper will explore the magnitude of this issue, its roots, and the reasons for its decades-long stagnation. On this premise, we have split the subject into four essential elements, which are as follows: The Western Sahara issue is a zero-sum strategy game between the conflicting parties. The involvement of major powers in the issue's impasse will then focus on the United States of America, France, and Russia as new regional actors. Then we try to concentrate on the Guerguerat crisis as a new station for the Western Sahara issue's stalemate. Finally, we will attempt to discuss the deadlock of this issue within the framework of the United Nations, which has likewise failed to find a solution.

Abstract:
Background and Objectives: Cerebral aneurysms can cause disability or death during rupture, but information on the etiology of cerebral aneurysms is currently lacking. Periodontal disease causes both systemic inflammation and local inflammation of the oral cavity. Systemic inflammation is a major cause of cerebral aneurysms. The aim of our study was to determine whether the presence of periodontal disease is related to the occurrence of unruptured cerebral aneurysms in a nationwide population-based cohort. Materials and Methods: We analyzed data on demographics, previous medical history, and laboratory test results of 209,620 participants from the Korean National Health Insurance System-Health Screening Cohort. The presence of periodontal disease and oral hygiene parameters, including the number of lost teeth, tooth brushing frequency per day, dental visits for any reason, and expert teeth scaling, were investigated. The occurrences of unruptured cerebral aneurysms (I67.1) were defined according to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases Related Health Problems-10. Results: The mean age of the participants was 53.7 ± 8.7 years, and 59.4% were male. Periodontal disease was found in 20.9% of the participants. A total of 2160 (1.0%) cases of unruptured cerebral aneurysms developed after 10.3 years of median follow up. In multivariate analysis, the presence of periodontal disease was significantly associated with an increased risk of unruptured cerebral aneurysms (hazard ratio: 1.21, 95% confidence interval: 1.09–1.34, p < 0.001). Conclusion: The presence of periodontal disease could be associated with the occurrence of unruptured cerebral aneurysms. It should be noted that when periodontal diseases are present, the risk of aneurysms is increased in the future. Double-click Select to translate After turning 40 years old, testosterone hormone in men will decrease, but some data regarding the effect of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) on cardiovascular safety is still controversial. The aim of this systematic review is to investigate the effect of TRT on lipid profile and body fat in men with Late-Onset Hypogonadism (LOH) which affects the incidence of cardiovascular disease. The literature search was performed on the database, such as PubMed and Wiley Online Library and also additional manual searches were performed on the reference list of related studies. The identified articles were selected according to the eligibility criteria. A total of four articles were used in this systematic review and the quality of the study was assessed using the Jadad score. From the four studies that is used, four study discussed the effect of TRT on lipid profiles and two studies discussed the effect of TRT on body fat. On the administration of testosterone gel 50mg/day, all lipid profiles improved after nine months of intervention. However, with IM testosterone after one year, the improvement was only partial. All studies discussing the effect of TRT on body fat showed uniform results, namely a decrease in fat percentage. The results obtained by the studies included in this systematic review suggest that TRT can improve lipid profiles and also decrease body fat in men with LOH.

Abdullah, Raad M., Mohammed A. Othman, and Siraj M. Abdullah. "Treatment of Oil Well Drill Cuttings Utilizing Different Binder Options." Science Journal of University of Zakho 10, no. 3 (August 24, 2022): 140–46. http://dx.doi.org/10.25271/sjuoz.2022.10.3.945.

Full text
Abstract:
A lab-scale treatability experiment was conducted on oil well drill cuttings (waste generated during petroleum exploration) using two different binders (Portland Cement and Lime) as a Solidification and Stabilization S/S agent. Seven ratios for each binder to waste (Drill cuttings) have been separately prepared (0.25:10, 0.5:10, 1:10, 2:10, 3:10, 4:10, 5:10) in which effects for each ratio and curing time (90 days) have been investigated on pH, chloride, and leachate for heavy metals (Ba, Pb, Cd, Ag, and Cr) through Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP). Results presented that the leaching of heavy metals (Ba, Cd, Cr, and Ag) was under the US EPA TCLP limit for all ratios with both binders. However, the Pb for the ratios of 0.25:10, 0.5:10, 2:10, and 3:10 for the cement-treated drill cuttings and 0.25:10 and 0.5:10 for the lime-treated drill cuttings have exceeded the proposed limit by the US EPA TCLP limit. Chloride also failed to meet the Nigerian chloride limit for drill cutting with the ratios 0.25:10, 0.5:10, 1:10, and 2:10 for both binders; meanwhile, the chloride concentrations were under the same limit within the ratios 3:10, 4:10, and 5:10. The overall results indicated that the binder options had affected the S/S product. Furthermore, the ratios of 1:10 and 2:10 had better performance considering the weight of the binders used for both options. The ratios of 4:10 and 5:10 had also performed well, but due to the significant quantities of the binders used, these ratios will not be considered economically feasible. The present investigation demonstrated that both binders could be used and relied on as an S/S agent aiming at treating drill cuttings. Abstract:
? ? Abstract:
<span lang="EN-US">Entering higher education and starting new living can be challenging for new students. They need many information to integrate themselves to new communities and conform to new organizational culture, systems and programs. Organizational socialization is one of several socialization options which may promote the new students’ adjustment process, facilitate their learning process to survive and thrive. Despite the important role of organizational socialization, it is still under-examined in educational sector. Thus, this study analyzed educational factors enabling the new students to educationally survive and thrive. The data were collected through 22 new students’ narrative texts, freely voicing their experiences in higher education at their first semester. The data were analyzed by employing thematic, within-and-cross case analysis, underpinned by interpretivism paradigm. The study found that the new students’ educational survival and thriving needs the elaboration of organizational, social and emotional experiences into academic determination. Thus, the study challenged the dominant power of academic rigor in determining the educational thriving. Instead, the study suggested the new defined educational thriving concept by recognizing the roles of social, organizational and emotional roles, as presented in the reconstructed educational thriving triangle model.</span><textarea id="BFI_DATA" style="width: 1px; Abstract:
<p>Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS) is the file system whereby Hadoop is use it to store all the upcoming data inside it. Since it been declared, HDFS is consuming a huge memory amount in order to serve a normal dataset. Nonetheless, the current file saving mechanism in HDFS save only one file in one datablock. Thus, a file with just 5 Mb in size will take up the whole datablock capacity causing the rest of the memory unavailable for other upcoming files, and this is considered a huge waste of memory in serving a normal size dataset. This paper proposed a method called tiny datablock-HDFS (TD-HDFS) to increase the usability of HDFS memory and increase the file hosting capabilities by reducing the datablock size to the minimum capacity, and then merging all the related datablocks into one master datablock. This master datablock consists of tiny virtual datablocks that contain the related small files together; will exploit the full memory of the master datablock. The result of this study is a running HDFS with a minimum amount of wasted memory with the same read/write data performance. The results were examined through a comparison between the standard HDFS file hosting and the proposed solution of this study.</p><textarea id="BFI_DATA" style="width: 1px; height: 1px; display: none;"></textarea><textarea id="BFI_DATA" style="width: 1px; Abstract:

Abstract:
Τα αποτελέσματα της χρήσης της Πολυαισθητηριακής Μεθόδου έδειξαν στατιστικά σημαντική βελτίωση στην ορθογραφημένη γραφή λέξεων της πειραματικής ομάδας, σε σχέση με την ομάδα έλεγχου, καθώς και στατιστικά σημαντική βελτίωση στην επίδοση της πειραματικής ομάδας, σε σχέση με την επίδοση της πριν από την εφαρμογή της μεθόδου.</p><div id="SL_balloon_obj" style="display: block;"><div The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative type of research. This is done in the context of collecting primary data by means of observation, interviews and documentation. In addition, data collection was carried out using several book references with research themes to support previous data. The results showed that the performance of Satpol PP Bandung City Employees in the Implementation of Billboard Control has not been optimal, this is evidenced by the many violations of billboard organizers in the city of Bandung. This is due to the lack of personnel and facilities and infrastructure. The way to overcome this is that there must be additional personnel or employees of billboard control and the provision of adequate equipment to support the implementation of advertising control in the field</em><textarea id="BFI_DATA" style="width: 1px; height: 1px; display: none;"></textarea><textarea id="BFI_DATA" style="width: 1px; height: 1px; display: none;"></textarea><div Abstract:
AbstractThe goal of this study was to examine the cross-cultural validity and reliability of the Zuckerman-Kuhlman-Aluja Personality Questionnaire (ZKA-PQ) – a recently published instrument for assessing the Zuckerman’s Alternative Five Factor Personality Model – in Catalan and Hungarian speaking populations. The samples consisted of 1,564 subjects from Catalonia and 1,647 from Hungary. Results showed a clear five-factor structure and acceptable alpha reliabilities of the ZKA-PQ in both countries. Facets alpha average was 80.35 and 74.10 for Catalans and Hungarians respectively. The factorial congruency coefficients indicated that both structures were equivalent, with a global value of .97. However, the robust structure obtained with EFA yielded poor fit indices in the subsequent CFA. Altogether, the psychometric findings were similar to those obtained in the original validation study carried out in Spanish and English populations. Main country differences were found only in Neuroticism factor, with Hungarians scoring significantly lower that Catalans. Nevertheless, country, sex and age explained only 18.6 % of Neuroticism variance (adjusted R squared = .186). Country differences had only medium effect size [F(1, 3188) = 292, p < .001, η2 = .0841].

Abstract:
Kui art is our precious heritage, which occupies a great place in the music art of the Kazakh people. As mentioned above, there is a separate tradition of kui art in the instrumental music of our nation - it is the Altai-Tarbagatai kui region. Kazakh art of kui performance is divided into schools of kui art depending on its location, artistic execution, and historical periods. In the presented article, we will talk about Altai-Tarbagatai, which is located in the eastern part of the country, among the traditional seven places of kui art. In this direction, emphasis is placed on the artistic endeavour of Mukei Abilkhairuly, an outstanding representative of the region with his own unique signature; the "Kosbaskan" kui of the performer is analyzed, and the striking features of his performance skills are mentioned. The main goal of the article was to consider and classify the unique creative heritage of the eastern region, including the performance style of the kuishi Mukei. While carrying out the mentioned scientific research work, we came to some news and results: although it was introduced late into the scientific circulation, the Altai-Tarbagatai region takes a prominent place in Kazakh music, distinguished by its complicated and unique melodiousness among the schools of kui art. The creativity of the kuishi Mukei, which defines the school of kui art distinguished by difficult and complex rhythms in terms of performance, is being promoted to a greater or lesser extent and can serve as a basis for scientific research in this direction. Abstract:
Current developments in German-language literature show how much literature is shaped by social changes. In the past, Germanlanguage literature has repeatedly reported on waves of emigration and refugee movements, and that's what it does today. The refugee problem is therefore also in the literature a recurring theme. Contemporary authors from the German-speaking countries such as Emine Sevgi Özdamar, Feridun Zaimoğlu, Ilija Trojanow, Catalin Dorian Florescu or Abbas Khider, who experienced migration for a variety of reasons, are proof of this current trend. The Hungarian-Swiss author Melinda Nadj Abonji with her novel Tauben fliegen auf (2010) and the Slovak-Swiss author Irena Brežná with their most recent novel Die undankbare Fremde (2012) are also part of this trend. The own experiences of escape, foreignness and integration of the two authors, who make an important contribution to intercultural literature in Switzerland, characterize their work in a particularly emphatic manner and thus also repeatedly implicate a discussion of the autobiographical background. The paper intends to bring the culture contact into focus and thus to open the scientific discussion on two important literary texts of German-speaking Swiss contemporary literature and to examine how a migrant deals with the change of culture and how its identity is shaped by it. The construction of unfamiliar spaces, in which the identity unfolds between the adaptation to the prevailing norms and the resistance to a foreign language and cultural space, leads to the research objectives: to study the concepts of the own and foreign and to concretize intercultural aspects in both novels.
