Abstract:
Cashman, Harrison and Scheiler (2014) stated that companies with less political risk will use more debts than other organisations in other countries with more exposure to political risk. In particular, when there are low political risks, there will be more leverage and when there is high political uncertainty, there will be low debts indicating a negative relationship between financial leverage and political risk (Cashman, 2015). To this effect, this study will investigate the link between capital structure and political risk in an emerging market such as Mauritius. The data sample includes 30 financial and non- financial companies listed on the Stock exchange of Mauritius over a time frame ranging from 2011 to 2015 with a total number of 135 observations. The political risk was based on two World Bank indicators, namely political change index and corruption perceptions index. Based on a panel regression model, the empirical results show an insignificant relationship between financial leverage and political risk. In particular, it is implied that there is little evidence on the importance of political risk on firms’ decision in Mauritius due to the fact that Mauritian companies consider other types of risks to be more relevant when taking on more debts. The study adds to the existing literature on emerging markets and highlights the specificity of the Mauritian equity market relative to other developed markets.

Zinc (Zn) is reported to influence the coat and skin condition of many animals including the dog (Van Dem Broek and Thoday, 1986). Recent studies indicate that in addition to the zinc concentration, the form in which dietary zinc is supplied influences the animal's zinc status (Power, Cashman and Flynn 1994) and coat (Lowe, Wiseman and Cole, 1994). The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of dietary zinc supply on the dimensions, weight, and zinc content of hair as these criteria are considered indicative of coat condition.

Abstract:
Visible or Invisible Games? A Critique on the Future of the World GamesAs the crowded calendar of world sport and the increasing competition between sporting festivals is likely to affect more second-tier global sporting festivals than the Olympic Games (Cashman 2004, p. 134), this paper attempts to answer a few questions concerning the future of the World Games, i.e. a multi-sport mega event. The first and primary question is whether it is worthwhile to host the World Games. In this paper reasoned justification will be provided with a critical eye. Furthermore, questions will be raised about the when and particularly about the where. The content of the World Games' programs will be briefly discussed and critically evaluated as well. As an example the author will use the 2009 World Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan for discussion.

Abstract:
To examine posttraumatic stress symptoms in college students with a chronic illness, volunteers who endorsed having a chronic illness (N = 61) were administered the Posttraumatic Diagnostic Scale (PTDS: Foa, Cashman, Jaycox, & Perry, 1997). Over 50% met criteria for reexperiencing symptoms and interference with functioning; however, few participants met criteria for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Higher threat appraisals (endorsement of A criteria, general appraisal/level of pessimism) explained a significant portion of the variance in total PTSD symptoms beyond the significant contributions of anxiety, life events, and illness interference with daily functioning. Findings document the presence of posttraumatic stress symptoms among college students with chronic illness and highlight the role of anxiety and perceived threat in the development of symptoms. College students face a number of demands from chronic illness and stressors not related to their health indicating the need for services targeted at responses to stress.

New admissions is a regular activity performed each year. Each year, an increase of students who will enroll. This is evident from the number of prospective students are always increasing and enthusiastic to register on STMIK Palangka Raya. The existing system is still not fully integrated and lack of network infrastructure for data exchange so as not supporting the effectiveness of the work on the new admissions. It is necessary for the design of the system architecture of the network infrastructure for integrating existing information systems so as to achieve the vision and mission of the College. To illustrate the design is based on a theoretical basis, using Edraw Max 7. This study uses a framework approach Shelly Cashman namely initialization and total cost of ownership (TCO), scalability, electoral process and security issues. The end result of this research is the blueprint proposed system architecture on Information Systems Admissions STMIK Palangka Raya.

Abstract:
Abstract. Lava dome eruptions subjected to high extrusion rates commonly evolve from endogenous to exogenous growth and limits to their structural stability hold catastrophic potential as explosive eruption triggers. In the conduit, strain localisation in magma, accompanied by seismogenic failure, marks the onset of brittle magma ascent dynamics. The rock record of exogenous dome structures preserves vestiges of cataclastic processes (Cashman et al., 2008; Kennedy and Russell, 2011) and of thermal anomalies (Kendrick et al., 2012), key to unravelling subsurface processes. Here, a combined structural, thermal and magnetic investigation of a shear band crosscutting a large block erupted in 2010 at Soufrière Hills volcano (SHV) reveals evidence of faulting and frictional melting within the magmatic column. The mineralogy of this pseudotachylyte vein offers confirmation of complete recrystallisation with an isothermal remanent magnetisation signature that typifies local electric currents in faults. The pseudotachylyte presents an impermeable barrier, which is thought to have influenced the degassing pathway. Such melting events may be linked to the step-wise extrusion of magma accompanied by repetitive long-period (LP) drumbeat seismicity at SHV (Neuberg et al., 2006). Frictional melting of SHV andesite in a high velocity rotary shear apparatus highlights the small slip distances (< 15 cm) required to bring 800 °C magma to melting point at upper conduit stress conditions (10 MPa). We conclude that frictional melting is an inevitable consequence of seismogenic, conduit-dwelling magma fracture during dome building eruptions and that it may have an important influence on magma ascent dynamics.

Abstract:
Successful leaders don’t rest on their laurels because leadership is not a title on a business card. Leadership is a living process and life means growth (Blanchard, 2012). The paper embodies a critical analysis of the book by Cashman (2017) which is meant to exemplify novel paradigms for Generation (z) leaders and beyond. This epic work invites leaders to become innovative and inventive in their practices and to dare to debunk the ideology of boxed leadership practiced in previous epochs. Its journey motif is reflective of the metamorphosing path that each leader must take as they seek to grow, develop and master the expectations of what it means to be an effective leader. Chapter one acts as a mirror which invites the leader to examine and acknowledge one’s own belief systems and ideologies while seeking to lead others. The thrust of chapter two challenges the leader to create stories which inspire the hearts and minds of those they lead to be spurred into action. Chapter three represents the plot in the story motif of chapter two. In chapter three, the leader must set goals, and develop a blueprint which delineates how these goals or actions will be set into motion towards a successful outcome or resolution. Chapter four illuminates the value of building and leading a team through collaboration; while chapter five propels the leader to embrace change in meeting the demands of altering world contexts. In chapter six the author implores leaders to practice a positive and healthy lifestyle which influence greater resilience and energy among those they lead. Being Mastery, in chapter seven, displays the symbiotic relationship between leadership and presence. The leader acts out the vision and mission of the organization and becomes the litmus by which the organizations’ success is gaged. Finally, in chapter eight, the author compels the cycle of growth and maturity in the leader by encouraging coaching and mentoring in order that they can become more efficient in their practice and generate efficacy in those they lead. This work is expected to guide future leaders in developing greater self- awareness in order to be equipped in rising to the challenges facing 21st century leaders in complex multicultural world.

Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to know the influence of RETE, CASHTA, TETA, ROE, SIZE, LEVERAGE on the dividend policy on the company lifecycle of 2014-2018 listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The population of this research was an IDX registered manufacturing company in 2014-2018, with a total population of 170 companies. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling, and 76 companies were obfained. The independent variables of this research are RETE, CASHTA, TETA, ROE, SIZE, LEVERAGE; While the dependent variable of this research is a dividend policy. The results of this research show that RETE, CASHTA, TETA, SIZE, LEVERAGE are not significant to the dividend policy on the company's lifecycle. In general, there is a variable ROE that has a significant influence on the dividend policy. Further, if analysis is conducted on each company's lifecycle, the ROE has a significant effect on the dividend policy at the start-up stage.

Abstract:
In efficient market theory it is mentioned that a price change of a stock's securities in the past can not be used to estimate price changes and the theory of signals is also mentioned that investors see signs made by managers of firms to predict future outlook. Therefore, the research was made to obtain empirical evidence by analyzing whether the fundamental factor has significant effect on stock price in manufacturing companies either partially or simultaneously on manufacturing companies listed on BEI in 2012-2015. The fundamental factors here are divided into profitability, solvency and liquidity are represented by ROA, ROE, NPM, DER, CashTA, TATO, and EPS ratios. Research using Data Panel Regression assisted with Eviews program. The results of research partially only NPM, CashTA and EPS variables that have a significant effect while for the variable ROA, ROE, DER and TATO no significant effect. Simultaneously all the variables together have a significant influence on stock prices.
